To say that Netflix's handling of the WItcher series has been a mess would be something of an understatement. The show has become a poster child for mismanagement.
Of course, instead of attributing it's plummeting viewer numbers on their disrespect of the source material, their messy writing, and losing their leading actor Henry Cavill, show producer Tomasz "Tomek" Baginski has decided to blame it on Americans being too stupid to understand politics... and TikTok.
I wish I could say this was clickbait. It isn't.

With the development of the innovative picture box technology comes new growth for the Trelin Direct... magazines!
Previously the leading manager of A.R.C. (the Airmail Relocation Centre), Sura Wordweaver now takes over as Editor-In-Chief of the company, leading the Direct in it's exciting expansion.
Deaf from birth, Sura grew up in the large trading city of Frontier with her mother, a modestly succesful novelist and historian. Her childhood was spent reading and writing countless wild and imaginative stories about mythical far away lands, full of whinsy and adventure.
At the age of 10, she began to manifest an exceptionally unique Essense ability; she could manifest written words in the air - and on any physical surface - simply by thinking them!
Encouraged by her mother to always embrace who she was, Sura used her special talent and vibrant imagination to become a successful novelist of her own as an adult. Her true passion lay in journalism however; her "word weaving" meant that she could express her passionate opinions in writing faster than most could speak or transcribe them.
She joined the Trelin Direct during its formative years a decade ago, alongside her childhood friends Eleni Geni and Toro Bonto. With Toro off exploring the world with his fancy new Picture Capture Box, Sura has dutifully taken charge of the publication as its newest Editor-In-Chief.
Check in with her at the Trelin Direct headquarters in Hubante should you ever need some information about the latest major happenings and events on the continent - very little ever escapes the Silent Lady's attention.

Life on Orpegeia has only existed for a relatively short time.
Myths, passed down through centuries, talk of "The Recreation", wherein the world was reset 500,000 years ago. All that came before was obliterated from the planet, forcing life to start again from the beginning.
How much of this is true, nobody truly knows...
The Recreation
It is said that on the day before The Recreation Garland The All-Seeing - Patron of Mirros (Sight) - looked inside of himself, and saw nothing but turmoil & strife consuming the world. He relayed this great pain to his brethren, who set about correcting this wrong.
The titanic form of Arsinian the Prometheon - Patron of Kinesis (Touch) - descended on the planet on the First Day. He walked the continents, obliterating all "reprehensible life", just so it could begin anew. The lands were soaked in the blood of his devastation.
On the Second Day of The Recreation, Shefa The Listener - Patron of Asmer (Sound) - spoke to the land itself. She urged the soil to grow anew, encouraging it to thrive ones more, and bring life back to the world again.
On the Third Day of The Recreation, as the lands flourished again, Evania - the essence of awareness - willed consciousness back into the young and fragile creatures of the new land. The were lost and afraid, but they would never be alone.
With her endless hair of grass, Balsara - Patron of Savure (Taste) - returned nourishment to the world on the Fourth Day. Guided by the yellow moon, she toiled away at every inch of the land, ensuring that life possessed the sustenance required to flourish once more.
On the Fifth (and final) Day, Nip The Hunter - Patron of Aruma (Smell) - was tasked with relocating all life on Orpegeia. Able to sense all livings things, she sought out the lost creatures of the world, guiding them to their new homes.

Mirros (Sight) is the capacity to look at the world around us. As a form of Essense, is connects to our ability to see, and the very manifestation of light itself.
Someone attuned towards Mirros can look at things with a clarity and detail that others lack. Those rich in this Essense tend to be artists, inventors, marksmen… and spies, if they’re nefariously inclined.
The most powerful Mirros users can bend and generate light out of the air, manipulate what others witness, and even seclude themselves from other people's vision entirely.
It has been told in the old texts that on the day before The Recreation, Garland The All-Seeing - Patron of Mirros - looked inside of himself, and saw nothing but turmoil and strife consuming the world of Elethia.
When he relayed the scale of the suffering that he witnessed to his brethren, they set about correcting this perceived wrong.

The Parliament has received word of a powerful book in our possession... and the party will have to prove they're worthy of keeping it. Before that though, they have some personal business to attend to...

An intrepid journalist for the Trelin Direct, Toro was first met by our party near the end of Episode 9 of The Never Ending Quest Log.
He's the owner of the world's first ever Picture Capturing Device, a fantastic piece of technology that breaks down Mirros crystals in order to translate images seen through its lens onto small metal sheets, for future prosperity.
He has spent his years as a journalist travelling to every corner of the continent, in order to be the first to discover and chronicle ancient, long forgotten places!

The Secrets of Skara Brae
Dawn has begun to rise on the quaint mountain town of Eredet. The first rays of sun hit the cobblestones of the streets, the glow of the morning light shining from the buildings, sunlight ricochetting from the windows and walls.
The sounds of the market stalls setting up and shops prepping for the morning ahead can be heard all around. The hushed conversations of town folk bring us awareness to the here and now, as we gather by the local well to meet our new travelling companions.
Ready for a day that will change the lives of everyone on the continent, forever.

In light of recent conflicts in Hubante's slums, Nimicry Slumborn has promised to push proposals in front of the Paladin Order for much needed reform in the long neglected corner of the city.
Reports from our sources suggest that the Oddeye Syndicate is set to push back strongly against these proposals in Parliament.
Nimicry did not mince his words in regards to the Syndicate:
"The wall district will be cleaned up and those that prey on society's downtrodden and poor will be brought to justice.
The syndicate skates by on bribes, corruption, and willful ignorance. They did not count on a slum rat rising on rank and coming home."

The Never Ending Quest Log is an in-development tabletop RPG set in it's own unique world with a unique DND-inspired ruleset!
On the continent of Orpegeia, traditional fantasy magic doesn’t exist. The creatures of the world are all intrinsically connected to the five 'Senses'. Mechanics revolve around the manipulating of these senses, as well as the cultures, politics and history of the world.

The world I'm building aims to be modern & progressive, dismantling genre tropes and refreshing ideas into something new and original.
The first campaign - streamed over on my Twitch channel - revolves around the book of the same name. This strange tome was handed down to Luthion Fairwords (me) after his grandmother passed away.
Nothing is is known about its origins. Only the dragon scales embedded in it's spine and the massive claw marks on its back provide any clues to its past...
I'm revitalising this blog because I think it'll be a great way to share the story, characters, ideas and progress of this series as it develops.
