something I want to get off my chest about Destiny is how intricately it intertwines so many big topics.

there is clovis bray and the exos. the question of immortality, of human hubris, how much is enough and where do you stop. human emotions in a metal shell, soul living on without a previous body, is it a blessing or a curse.

there is the question of power and tyranny. the osmium siblings, family. identity and the never ending search for self.

there is the question of the awoken, the cosmos, the unknown and the unknowable. grief and loss of loved ones, over and over, and how to deal with it - or not. it's about choices and consequences and responsibility for that which you made happen.

the earth, the warlords and two sides of the same story, between Earth citizens and the Eliksni. the search for home and making one when yours is lost. stories of people who are not there leading and in charge, stories about farmers and teachers and people on whom the world stands.

the Cabal, the foundation of traditions, both evolving and disappearing. parents and children, becoming better, becoming different.

and, of course, the light and the dark. the "good" and the "bad", but which is it and how do you choose when you can't have one without the other.

for the first time in my life when i open this writing project and look at the work ive made so far, i dont get nervous or self conscious, i get excited bc its almost exactly how i want it to be, i can see it so clearly in my head and i just get so impatient to get to the next chapter like its my own private tv show. really excited to share it even if its taking a while.
