"Well so far, I've just barely got moved in, so I don't know. But I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like and how it will compare to New York."

"Well I really like rock vibes, and indie alt shit. But mainly I just try to listen to female and queer artists because it resonates the most with me. Like G Flip, I really relate to them. Especially when they go on to sing about their gender."

"Oh god... That would have been Taylor Swift's debut album."

what’s next for you?

"Well it's kinda a new chapter in my life. I got my dream job, now it's time to start grinding to pay off some of this student loan and medical debt I have."

Awakened - Akira / ghost in the shell crossover

this fic is a guilty pleasure of mine, it is a cross over between the 1988 film Akira (and the original manga) and the 1995 Ghost in the shell movie.

throughout this fic it follows my OC a girl named Tehanu who is on Major Motoko's team of elites. like the Major she is also a fully cyborg, she has a complete shell provided to her by section nine and thus she works dutifully with her team.

however on a slow day they get a call about explosions going off downtown Tokyo though when they arrive the culprit is gone, though not entirely as Tehanu catches a glimpse of a boy in a red cape fleeing the scene. she gives chance and when she catches up with him she is met with Tetsuo Shima, who is entirely confused on where he is and why he is not back at the stadium facing down Kaneda.

this is a slow burn, enemies to begrudging allies to lovers fic where the main paring is Tetsuo Shima (akira) x Cannon (my oc)

The Will of Gods and Monsters - Hellsing Ultimate

official summary; what is the human will? The age-old argument is of whether humans have free will at all, but if you want to go deeper, what about the Gods we serve? And what of the monsters they create?

Father Alexander Anderson makes choices that hurt him, he fixes those choices and eradicates all love for anyone except God. Though it is debatable who his god is.

so since there is no way i'm explaining what this is without a massive post imma just sumarize for yall.

Sukuna has a daughter which he despises at first, but he soon grows to love her. she grows under his reign as the king of curses and she is cared for, protected, and loved (also overly sheltered at some points)

eventually Sukuna gets sealed away and Kohaku (his daughter) is left to her own devices for 1000 years, she travels, trains, hones in her skills, and eventually begins to collect her father fingers so she can bring him back, but it doesn't go that way when the sorcerers ambush her and she is locked away until Satoru Gojo finds out and thinks that she can be an excellent asset.

a series of four fics documenting one of Khonshu's best moon knights, a young women named Nem who would eventually become his queen

fic one, Haunted by a Darker Side

Summary; The Gods were never reliable in any sense for Nem. her mother prayed and believed but she never did, she thought it was a waste of time and took matters into her own hands. Unfortunately taking things into your own hands will often get you into much more trouble than it's truly worth.

It was only when Nem really feared for her life that she prayed for the first time, it was only after running from guards with the shiver of the Pharaoh’s last words running through her mind, the moon clear above her as she lay dying in the sand that she truly prayed.

“Oh Lord Khonshu, god of the moon, Protector of the travellers of the night. Please protect my mother and brothers in my absence, watch over them when I could not. I beg of you if you are real please, please do this, I'm sorry I never believed or worshipped. I offer the rest of myself to you if you can do this one thing for me-”

What Nem was not expecting was a response to her prayer;

“Why don’t you protect them yourself? It would be a shame to die on a nice night like this. Allow me to keep you alive Nem of Iken”

She should have known there would be strings attached to that offer…

Fic two, Transcends to Walking in the Light

Summary; Nem would not let Khonshu be turned to stone, so with Anubis’ help, she announced that she was with child, a new god or goddess of the Ennead. Khonshu must live to raise the child, as Nem would not be able to handle it on her own unless they wanted a rouge god on their hands.

Begrudgingly they agree, freeing her God, but this freedom comes at a price.

“You must marry Khonshu, we cannot have a god be born naturally out of wedlock.”

At least it didn’t need to be conceived within wedlock- but these terms are easily agreed to by both parties. Now the next chapter of Nem’s patronage to Khonshu begins,

With her as his Queen.

Fic three, Slowly I'm Recovering

Summary; Most agree that on any given night the moon is beautiful, it always has been and always will be. So why was it that Casper could never face it? Did it have something to do with a past she didn’t want to relive and a personal mission that had yet to be completed? Yes, yes it did. But she is too stubborn to admit that aloud.

So when she gets mixed up with a nice fellow named Steven Grant and his life, her past with the moon god Khonshu comes to a head. And what she's been running from all this time is right in front of her, she just needs to face it with the honour she once had.

a series of five fics covering all five movies and beyond. An Optimus Prime x oc which (after the third movie) turns into an Optimus Prime x daughter oc.

Fic one; MESSENGER

Summary; Up to this point life has not been kind to Ezra Rhett, but she manages in her own way and actually maybe made some good friends in the form of the Witwicky family. When Sam gets his first car and it apparently steels itself she’s the first person he’s calling, the next day when Giant metal beings show themselves to them all in a back alley and ask Sam to save the world she’s already had enough.

But that pleading look in his eyes has her reluctantly agreeing to go, and very quickly she realizes it would be a cold day in hell if she ever let these kids go through this alone.

Optimus Prime has a similar thought process when he realized how young the humans helping his team were. He is glad that Ezra decided to stay and help her young friends not for herself but for their safety. The Autobot leader also keeps his eyes on them, he doesn’t need any of the humans helping them get hurt along the way.

Though sometimes he finds himself being pulled by the Look in her eyes.

Fic one, It Had to be You

Summary; Cybertron was a stagnant planet, it had been since the collapse of the space bridges, no, likely since the fall of the thirteen. But it was all about to change, A Gladiator named Megatrounus arose and everything fell into chaos.

Within that chaos, Seadrift chose her side. She had seen firsthand what the upper castes, her castes had done to the lower and it needed to change. When the change that her planet finally went through happened, she changed with it, and Megatron with her. She never expected for it to happen, one day it was adoration and then she realized it was so much more. But she was never going to act on it, lucky for her he acted first.

At the peak of it all, they make a decision for the future, and Seadrift is sent away. A small planet on an outer galaxy that the Decepticons had been storing energon on for some time. What Seadrift didn’t expect was the people and Monsters that called the planet home.

The Monsters welcomed her, she became one of them. And when war engulfed the earth, she took up arms and fought alongside the ones who helped her the most. Seadrift had already lost one planet, one family to war. She’d be dammed if she lost another.

I’ve been on a road trip vacation from Albuquerque, NM to Las Vegas, NV and it’s been amazing. We started in Albuquerque and did a day trip to Bisti Badlands. From there, Taos, NM - spent a day exploring downtown and small, nearby towns. Then we drove to Phoenix, AZ and spent the night in the fanciest hotel I’ve ever been in. We picked up my friend’s cousin the next day and spent two days in the Sedona, AZ area.

Yesterday, we left Sedona to head to Las Vegas and stoped at the Grand Canyon. It’s honestly worth seeing if you can. Now, I’m in Vegas and it’s an experience! We did Fremont St last night. They’re at the When We Were Young Fest and I got to explore the city. I love the Art District and won on the penny slots.

It’s been so fun! I wanna come back to Vegas in the future and explore more of these desert states.

Not ready to go back to work in a couple days…

How I Celebrated My 2023 Solar Return

So tomorrow marks a week since I celebrated my birthday, so I guess I should share whether I actually did what I set out to do.

Well, I did give myself permission to not get up at the crack of dawn since I did take the day off work just so I could enjoy the whole day.

I only slept a little later than usual, then I started my day with a meditation session and reading from my book, Chronicles of Tao by Deng Ming-Dao.

It just so happens that I came to a convenient stop in the book that matched my birth date: Page 318 = March 18th.

After my reading my Chronicles of Tao book, I did a tarot reading and pulled a card for the day. My birthday card was the ... Page of Cups. How fitting.

Next, I got dressed in my best Downtown Girl regalia, filled my messenger bag with the essentials, and headed into the city. It was an unusually sunny and slightly warm for mid-March day, and as someone who hates the cold despite being born in winter, I was quite grateful for that.

My destination: the East Village.

I was originally planning to go to Mud by myself, but at the last minute, my buddy Leslie joined me. It was a great catching up with her, and we ended up staying longer than planned because we were talking so much.

And most importantly, I got to savor my favorite chai in the whole city.

Next, Leslie joined me for my trip to one of the record stores on my list: A-1 Records. I told her that I was on the hunt for Tom Waits albums, but I would likely browse to see what other gems I could find.

Well, unfortunately, the Waits section at A-1 was empty. But we made lemonade out of lemons by slowly going through the R&B section and reminiscing over all of the albums we each remembered hearing growing up. It was a lot of fun, and probably gave me the best memory of my day.

Lemonade out of lemons indeed.

Afterwards, we noticed that the sun was about to set, so Leslie and I parted ways. She headed back uptown, and I made my way over to Physical Graffitea to check out the amazing selection that I heard so much about.

Because they were about to close, I did feel a little bit rushed. But that's not their fault. They told me to take my time, but I didn't want to make them stay too late past their closing time.

But I did get to sniff a few canisters (tee-hee!) and I left with 2 new blends to try. One called the Tummy Tonic (a medicinal blend for indigestion, upset stomachs and colds) and the Peach Blossom (a white tea that smells like peaches). I've only tried the Peach one so far, but I really like it.

Since I missed out on visiting my other 2 record stores (not complaining, just noting), I decided to walk up to the Strand bookstore around Union Square before it closed.

The Strand has vinyl records too and I figured if I couldn't find anything I liked, I could always see what books caught my fancy. And that's exactly what happened.

Their vinyl section was sad, so I wandered around to the fashion section and found 2 used books to take home. One of them was a book on David Bowie's style through the years. I can't wait to read it.

After I left the bookstore, I headed back to my abode in New Jersey. But not before grabbing a quick dinner from a fast food joint. (Hey, I'm not fancy.)

Once at home, I ate dinner while watching one of my favorite episodes of The Great North. (I recently binged that entire show and I think it's hilarious.) Afterwards, I called my mom to chat and catch her up on my day.

I also opened my package that came in the mail while I was out. It was the green cameo ring that I found on Etsy and bought myself for my birthday. It just so happened to arrive on my birthday. How perfect is that!

And with that, I can genuinely say my 2023 birthday was indeed a lovely day.

Filo smiled, patting Tao's shoulder. "Don't apologize. I'm prone to rambling myself, so I get it. And your voice is nice." She gave him a big, bright smile, "I'm sure you'll show them. Whoever said you're not worth something will so regret their words with how awesome you'll be." She tapped his lunch box with her chopsticks. "Maybe eat up, you'll need it. Healthy life is hard, but we won't change the world if we pass out halfway through the day. If we want to show the world, we'll have to do things we dislike." Not a moment later, she stuffed all of her remaining lunch in her mouth, which left her barely able to chew. It looked equally cute and hilarious.

The rest of the day passed in a breeze, for most at least. First days were often slow, with teachers having to introduce them and getting the lesson started. It was always a task when students and teachers were still new to another, unsure how to handle the other side. It would get better over the week, and by next Monday, there would be a routine. Most hoped for it, at least. When the final bell rang, Filo turned to her neighbor. "Hey, where do you live? I can transport us super fast with my quirk would save you some time", she offered. If he lived downtown like her, maybe they'd even have the same way and could walk to and from school together a bit. She already liked him, given how he didn't judge her a villain supporter upon hearing her opinion of them.

"W-well I kinda live in a sketchy area.." Tao looked away, trying to find anything to make sure she couldn't know where the base was. Although, the idea of a short trip back sounded like heaven. He hated walking from the base. Too many on lookers from alleyways peering at him with curious eyes. Maybe she would understand he didn't live in a giant beautiful mansion. Instead in an abandoned building, behind many traps and alarms. He believed Filo to not care of one's financial status, especially another teenagers. At that time you really can't do anything to get from a sketchy area to a luxurious gated mansion. She would understand, if she understood why some resort to becoming villains.

"Actually, nothing bad really happens there considering its reputation..although people are always too afraid to approach me." Tao said, making sure everything in his bag was there and present. He looked at Filo. "Are you sure it's no big deal-..I mean taking a different route could mean it takes you longer to get home.." He expressed. The idea of someone doing something that inconvenienced them for him made him all jittery, not in the good way. And plus it would probably be safer for her to steer clear of the area, but the idea of a friend taking him home sounded too pleasant to pass up. He'd never ever really had friends. This was a new start. The idea of the plan didn't cross his mind at this moment, completely forgetting to not get attached.

Is NYC gang PREYING on gay men? Two people are dead as woke DA Alvin Bragg dithers amid mass resignations

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: A menacing gang that preys on tourists at nightlife hotspots before drugging and robbing them, frequently using their own telephones to drain their bank accounts, appears to be going after New York's LGBT community. Five weeks apart, two gay men were killed in hauntingly similar circumstances, although it is suspected that more than a dozen gay males have already been the subject of similar attacks. Both Julio Ramirez, 25, who vanished in April, and John Umberger, 33, a political strategist in Washington DC, were out having fun on the city's gay scene the night before they vanished. According to the Daily Mail, when the men's bodies were discovered, both of the victims did not have their cellphones. Their bank accounts, which contained tens of thousands of dollars, had been emptied. Five months after their deaths, the apparently ‘woke’ Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has yet to comment, and he seems to be 'impeding' the probe. The gang's preferred method of operation is preying on gay males in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen district. In either case, both the victims were observed leaving a gay pub or club with three other guys. Furthermore, the LGBT community still hasn't received a warning to be on the alert for anything odd when they go out on a night out.

However, the mother of one victim has made the decision to come forward in an effort to prevent other susceptible young men from meeting the same fate as her son. “Word needs to get out, especially in the gay community, that they are targeting gay men. . . . This same group of killers have drugged, robbed and murdered countless young gay men in New York,” said Umberger’s mother Linda Clary. After a late dinner with friends at Tao Downtown in Chelsea, her son went alone to The Q NYC, a multi-story gay nightclub, where he last used his credit card at around three in the morning on Saturday, May 28. At 3:15 am, he called and eventually cancelled a cab, and an hour later, three unknown guys were last spotted with him in a car outside the Upper East Side townhouse where he was staying. Umberger can be seen getting out of the car with two of the men who entered the townhouse with him but left without him after approximately 45 minutes in accordance with the footage found from a nearby building. According to preliminary toxicology findings, Umberger and Ramirez died from a drug overdose. Although insiders claim that the pair had their drinks spiked with a date-rape drug. It is yet unknown what has contributed to the protracted delay in receiving test results, but according to the Post, Bragg's office is likely overloaded as a result of "an extraordinary number of assistant district attorneys' resignations."

That incident wasn’t the one in his guilty plea. A few months later, prosecutors charged Gooding with pinching a server’s buttocks after making a sexually suggestive remark to her at TAO Downtown and the allegation to which he pleaded guilty — forcibly kissing a waitress at LAVO New York in midtown Manhattan. Both incidents were alleged to have occurred in 2018.Gooding admitted at a plea hearing in April that he “kissed the waitress on her lips” without consent and, in explaining his actions during Thursday’s harassment plea, told Judge Curtis Farber: “I kissed a waitress, your honor.” The waitress, in her victim impact statement, said that Gooding forced his tongue into her mouth unexpectedly while she was serving drinks. She said she was aware of incidents involving Gooding and three other women at the club.Gooding had previously pleaded not guilty to six misdemeanor counts and denied all allegations of wrongdoing. His lawyers argued that overzealous prosecutors, caught up in the fervor of #MeToo, were trying to turn “commonplace gestures” or misunderstandings into crimes. Judge Curtis Farber earlier had ruled if the Gooding case went to trial, prosecutors could have called two additional women to testify about their allegations that Gooding also violated them. Prosecutors say the judge later reversed that decision — leading them to seek a plea deal.Along with the criminal case, Gooding is accused in a lawsuit of raping a woman in New York City in 2013. After a judge issued a default judgment in July because Gooding hadn’t responded to the lawsuit, the actor retained a lawyer and is fighting the allegations.
