Looks so amazing and i love It so much

I do suppose I could share the character design line up!

I really just need to finish designing all the go karts, (atleast most are done!) and then I can make proper cards for them and really get into the written details.

To be honest it’s a little hard to just ramble about info and details without specific questions to go off of, so I’ll try my best hhh

for starters, the tent? Not a tent!

It’s actually a stadium, the amazing digital race!

And rooms? Sort of tweaked, they are more like each character owns a personal garage, a large open space where they store their vehicles and then have a loft above that showcases their cozy safe havens. Bed, entertainment, basically a small room in a much larger one.

I haven’t revealed Ragatha, Zooble or Gangles karts yet but I’ll go ahead and just talk about all of them!

Caine:

Caine has a motorcycle, specifically one inspired off of the motorcycle I’m saving up for this summer, a Kawasaki Eliminator. It’s a cruiser, I’m thinking he has a 600cc model but considering Bubble is his right hand man and operates as the races pit crew- he’s definitely tinkered with Caines bike, making adjustments and improving the engine. God only knows what the little psycho did, but it’s a damn good bike that’s not supposed to rev as loud as it does.

Pomni:

Her kart is inspired off a Volkswagen Beetle, seemed very VERY Pomni to me. Her car mimics her outfit design a lot, I might do some color changes to be honest but it will be super minimal, it’ll be final when the cards are done! She definitely stops at the pit the most often despite her placement in a race, are my tires okay?? Do I need my oil?? I know you just filled it but it went down- is anything damaged?? Sweetie you did one lap..

Jax:

Jesus Christ he has a giant supercharger on the hood of his car, and he is absolutely one of those annoying mfs that reva their engine OBNOXIOUSLY loud all the time like he’s super cool. If you’re wondering who most of the skid marks on the track are from, that’s also Jax. Hes the best as drifting, and he loves to show that off. His car isn’t based too much on an actual vehicle?? I stared at Mario karts and pieced it together, but also gave it a very sports car look, the wing on the back fr fr I think Jax would dig that.

Kinger:

OHHSOSK I was so creative with his little wagon,,, it’s castle shaped!! And the best part? Operates like a rocket. In the back past the battlement (the crown looking thing you see atop castle pillars) ARE GIANT exhaust pipes and yes, they do spit fire !! Operates like a rocket. It’s very cool! (Also he has a great muffler because unlike Jax he’s considerate of others hearing 💔) Oh also, he has one of those silly horns, I forgot how to describe it but you can just look at how I drew it on his kart and you’ll know heheh!

Zooble:

Our second motorcyclist, owns a trike! If you don’t know what that is, picture a bike with training wheels but super badass. 3 wheels! It’s inspired off the Harley Davidson freewheeler, I like that design a lot but it’s def not actually a Harley because istg when you buy those bikes your just paying for the fancy name brand- expect it to be in the shop all the time, smh not good- BUT ANYWAY!! The looks are inspired off it though and I can’t wait for this one because it’s just as crazy kooky as Zoobles design is.

Gangle:

Her kart is based on my favorite car, classic style but not too cool because you can bet she has anime stickers on the back and a decal that says “please let me merge before I start crying.” It’s similar to a karmann ghia convertible, 1963. Cherry red (so so pretty) She always has the top down, unless competing because damn you gotta go fast. That car itself is really slow, top speed normally is 68mph, however people have modified them enough to get up to 120mph. Thats still pretty slow compared to others, but her kart only reflects the appearance of the ghia! It’s much faster and I assume Bubble works on all their vehicles if asked to.

Lastly, Ragatha:

Our 3rd motorcyclist. 4 Karts, 3 cyclists. Her bike is a futuristic style, if you want a good idea then look up “icare bike”! Not so much a straight forward posture, she leans over ofc, you’ll likely get the idea when you see her bike. I’ll be honest, I haven’t gotten too into her design yet because I haven’t started drawing but!! Dark blue leds,, everywhere yes yes so cool ❤️

EXCLUSIVE: One year ago we told you that a second season of John le Carré adaptation The Night Manager was quietly being developed under the codename Steelworks.

Now, Deadline can reveal that the BBC and new co-pro partner Amazon have gone big on a supercharged two-season order of the thriller, with Tom Hiddleston returning to lead, Hugh Laurie coming back as EP and with a new director in I Hate Suzie’s Georgi Banks-Davies. A third season has also been greenlit. David Farr returns as writer and Stephen Garrett is showrunner.

The Night Manager Season 2 will begin filming later this year and will pick up with Hiddleston’s Jonathan Pine eight years after the explosive finale of Season 1, going beyond the original book, which was written by the celebrated British writer in 1993. Additional plot details are being kept under wraps and there is not yet confirmation as to whether EP Laurie’s Richard Roper, who was last seen in the back of a paddy wagon driven by arms buyers who were not best pleased with him, will return to star. Hiddleston will also EP and will discuss in more depth on tonight’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Produced by The Ink Factory in association with Character 7, Demarest Films and 127 Wall, and in co-production with Spanish partner Nostromo Pictures, The Night Manager Season 2 was sold to Amazon by Fifth Season. The first was co-produced with AMC.

New director Banks-Davies, a BAFTA-nominee who takes over from Susanne Bier, has credits including I Hate Suzie, Garfield and upcoming Netflix series Kaos.

The Night Manager Season 1 was a huge success, watched by millions and winning multiple BAFTAs, Emmys and Golden Globes including best actor for Hiddleston. Also starring Tom Hollander, Olivia Colman and Elizabeth Debicki, it followed Pine – who ran a luxury hotel in Cairo – as he attempted to infiltrate the inner circle of Roper’s crime syndicate after being hired by Foreign Office task force manager Angela Burr.

The first season was commissioned more than 10 years ago and the show has since been remade in India, lapping the UK version by swiftly having a Season 2 greenlit for Disney+ Hotstar in May last year.

Simon Cornwell and Stephen Cornwell, le Carré’s sons who run The Ink Factory, said Season 1 proved “a landmark moment for the golden era of television – uniting on-screen and behind-the-camera talent at the top of their game – and an audience reception which was beyond our wildest imagining.”

They added: “Revisiting the story of Pine also means going beyond the events of John le Carré’s original work: that is a decision we have not taken lightly, but his compelling characters and the vision David has for their next chapter were irresistible.”

Amazon MGM Studios Head of Television Vernon Sanders said: “We are elated to bring additional seasons of The Night Manager to our Prime Video customers. The combination of terrific source material, the wonderful team at The Ink Factory, a great writer in David Farr, an award-winning director in Georgi Banks-Davies, as well as the talented cast truly make the series the full package.”

Hiddleston said: “The first series of The Night Manager was one of the most creatively fulfilling projects I have ever worked on. The depth, range and complexity of Jonathan Pine was, and remains, a thrilling prospect.”

BBC content boss Charlotte Moore added: “After years of fervent speculation I’m incredibly excited to confirm that The Night Manager is returning to the BBC for two more series.”

The Night Manager series two is created and executive produced by Farr, based on the characters created by le Carré. Additional executive producers include Garrett for Character 7, Banks-Davies, Laurie and Hiddleston; Joe Tsai and Arthur Wang for 127 Wall; Stephen and Simon Cornwell, Michele Wolkoff, and Tessa Inkelaar for The Ink Factory; Adrián Guerra for Nostromo Pictures; William D. Oh resident Slime Queen, I need your advice. I'm trying to build a Slime Against Humanity deck but I cant decide on the commander. I've narrowed it down to either Umori the Collector, Slogurk the Overslime, or Wort the Raidmother.

Hmmm... a lot of it depends on the direction you want to take your deck. Would you rather build Oozes or Sorceries?

As a reminder, Slime Against Humanity doesn't just care about itself, it cares about other Oozes as well, so typal is a perfectly acceptable direction to take the deck. Slogurk and Umori are both practical as commanders. My inclination would be Umori, as you have a few more options in Black than Blue, and the discount is nice upside.

I like you thinking of Wort the Raidmother, but why stop there? Kalamax the Stormsire does the same thing and allows you to splash Blue for Goblin Electromancer and Baral Chief of Compliance to make all of your SAHs cost 1 green pip. If you decide to go this direction, do me a favor and include a copy of Pyromancer Ascension. It's one of my favorite cards, and I'm so happy it finally has a deck in EDH.

Or, if you want to get really creative, you could always go the Mythos of Illuna route... Who doesn't want a free Omniscience alongside their commander? Plus all of the copies of SAH stay exiled to supercharge your remaining sorceries. Seems like a good deal to me.

Eclipses in Astrology 🪐

This is a very different post to what I usually upload. However, since we are approaching eclipse season I’d thought I’d share a post I had written on my Patreon some time ago!

Eclipses often get a bad rep, this is because the energy that surrounds them is so unpredictable. However, they serve as catalysts to enormous change in our lives. This is especially true if an eclipse is occurring on an angle, or if it’s closely aspecting one of your personal planets. The eclipses that will be occurring over the next year are in Taurus and Scorpio (keep in mind I wrote this before the eclipses in May)Thus, matters relating to transformation, money, wealth, comfort, sex, & rebirth will all be at the forefront.

To see how this eclipse will affect you personally, you need to look to the houses in your chart where you have Taurus and Scorpio. These are the areas of life in which you are likely to see significant change/transformation over the next year and a half.

Solar Eclipses are supercharged New Moons. Whereas, Lunar Eclipses can be described as super charged Full Moons. As mentioned before, people who have fixed rising signs, and personal planets in Taurus & Scorpio will be the most affected by these eclipses.

People who have fixed rising signs, will have these eclipses happening at an angle. This means that the eclipses will occur in their 1st, 4th, 7th, or 10th houses. Transits to the angles are arguably the most potent/important in astrology. As these houses often deal with major life themes/situations.

1st house: If you have an eclipse (solar or lunar) in your 1st house, get ready for some major life changes. Your physical appearance and personality is likely to go through a major transformation. The way in which you relate to the people around you is also likely to change drastically. Interestingly, I’ve seen people who have eclipses in the 1st house move or relocate suddenly! This is because this eclipse is likely to be squaring your 4th house (IC).

2nd house: if you have eclipses in the 2nd house expect to see changes in your financial situation and/or self-worth. 4th House: Eclipses to your fourth house put the focus on home and family. Many times this can represent a move or an addition in the family. At times it May also suggest a transition in the family. You may be renovating or spending more time with family. You may be learning about your roots or culture. Expect to see significant changes in the life of your maternal figure under this transit. You may also notice profound changes in your emotional nature. This is a life changing eclipse!

5th House: Prepare to see positive changes in your creativity. You may even pick up new hobbies or refine an existing one. Your dating life may also come into focus at this time. You may let go of old hobbies or passions that no longer serve you. Alternatively , you may let go of old lovers who no longer serve you. If you are hoping to have a child, this may be the time that this occurs. If you already have children, this could be a major time in their lives. One things for sure, creativity , hobbies and children will come in to focus for you over the next year and a half.

6th house: Your physical health, daily routine, diet and job will come into focus. You may start a new job or wellness regimen. You may lose a lot of weight or make significant changes to your physical health. You may leave an existing job. Your physical health and mental health (it will oppose the 12H) will be a major theme for you over the next year and a half. You may see a remarkable increase or decrease in your physical health or your productivity in general.

7th House: Relationships and close partnerships will be at the forefront. You may meet a new long-term partner, or even get married to an existing one. Alternatively, you may leave a long-term romantic relationship or business partnerships. You may meet a new business partner or take things to the next level with an existing romantic partner. Since this is also the house of open enemies, you may see an increase in opposition. Only your strongest unions will survive this transit, as you are likely to be examining your intimate relationships very closely. Since this is happening on an angle, this is a life changing transit/eclipse. It is likely to be a very memorable time in your life.

8th House: The way in which you view death, sex, shared resources and transformation will change drastically. You may be exposed to any of these themes over the next year and a half. I associate eclipses to the 8th and the 12th houses with a ‘spiritual awakening’ as you will often be put in situations that will test your strength and character. However, you may experience an increase in sexual intimacy/sexual activity, or you may even receive and inheritance or a large some of money. A great deal of transformation is in store for you!

9th House: You may suddenly start traveling more or this may be the time in which you go off to college. You may even graduate from college at this time or leave your country of residence to live in another country. Your religious views may change drastically, you may adopt a new religion or philosophical belief. You may even change your political views. A lot of your personal opinions on education, traveling and religion is likely to change.

10th House: This is also a life changing Eclipse for you. You may start a new career or strengthen an existing one. Alternatively, you may decide to leave a career you’ve been working in for years. Expect to see changes in the life of a significant paternal figure. Changes to your reputation and worldly status, are also likely to occur. An example, you may have been known as Ms. but if you get married the world now knows you as Mrs. Another example, is a student finishing med school during this eclipse and they are officially referred to as Dr. From now on. Major changes in your career/reputation and worldly status will occur,

11th House: Prepare to re-evaluate all of your friendships and ambitions. You will likely lose existing friends at this time, in favor of new friends who align with your purpose and path more. Old friendships may disappear. New friendships may suddenly occur. You may join new communities/social networks. It is possible that you may begin an endeavor on social media or any philanthropic activities. Your dreams, goals and aspirations in life will come in to focus. You may start focusing on one of your biggest dreams or start pursing something you’ve always wanted to do. Your involvement in group activities will also likely grow.

12th House: Everything that you’ve ever repressed mentally will resurface at this time. Any mental health issue you may have may be worsened or made better during this time. This is not meant to be a scary transit. It’s a time I’m which you will need to purge all that has been holding you back psychologically. As mentioned before, you may feel as if this is a ‘dark night of the soul. However, you will become a mentally stronger person after the eclipses in the 12th house, as they force you to deal with any hidden issues you may have.

Eclipses to PERSONAL Planets: (Conjunctions specifically)

The Sun: Your identity and Ego will undergo a major transformation. You interests and tastes will likely change drastically. There may be significant changes in the way in which you relate to men, or prominent male figures in your life. New life beginnings can also be associated with an eclipse to the sun.

The Moon: Your emotional self is likely to change drastically. You may also see changes in the way in which you relate to women, or the mother figure in your life. If you are hoping to have a child, you may see an increase in your fertility at this time. The way in which you project your emotions will change drastically as a result of this eclipse.

Mercury: Your Mental processing is likely to change significantly. So will the relationships you have with your siblings or cousins. You may find yourself getting mentally stronger, or find that they are negative thinking patterns beginning to resurface. Your way of thinking, and processing information will change drastically as a result of this eclipse. Your life may also start to become busier during this time!

Venus: You may undergo a physical transformation. You may even see an increase in your finances or a change in your financial situation. There may be developments in your love life, or you may decide to leave a relationship that no longer serves you. Your values , aesthetic sense and relationship status will likely change over the next year and a half.

Mars: Eclipses to your natal mars often impact your drive and ambition. You may see an increase or decrease in your motivation, and ability to get things done. You may experience and increase in sexual activity or a decrease. You may begin a fitness regimen or stray from your current one. Be careful, as conflicts with others are very common when a lunar eclipse specifically, occurs on your natal mars! You may also be prone to aggression or just an increase in your energy levels at this time!

lastly, eclipses to your ascendant are the same as eclipses to your 1st house. However, if they make an especially close conjunction to your ascendant, you may have a significant physical transformation. You are also likely to begin a significant stage in your life, this can be relocation, getting married, starting college, moving out etc! The way in which other people perceive you will also likely change, and you should expect to see significant changes in your personality.

I like a heathly combination of fluff and plot though I don't mind either on their own. I prefer cinematic stories with more parts!

Slow burn is definitely a favorite of mine! I like all genres but I do have a preference for fantasy storylines.

I absolutely avoid the fan made y/n-esque audio rp with already existing characters i.e Midoriya, Todoroki, Bakugou, no hate to the ones who like or make those, props to the voice impressions. I find it amazing they could imitate the voices but they just aren't for me though. Original characters are much more my thing.

Otherwise I'm fine with regards to everything else!

So far I only like GBA, Redacted and Sundew. I prefer soft, gentle mid-ranged to deeper voices. I like deep voices but I don't think I'd like a voice as deep as the mariana trench lol. Higher pitched voices also aren't my thing and if it's too whispery then it won't do it for me as well.

I'm pretty picky ain't I? Apologies if this is inconvenient, I have no one to ask for recommendations and I'm particularly new to the community (⁠*⁠´⁠ω⁠｀⁠*⁠)

Oh, I have some recommendations for you! My opinions are a bit biased here (I have a very strong preference for plot-heavy audios over fluff) but it looks like a lot of my favorites suit your tastes. I dislike fanfiction stuff too, especially MHA stuff and I also prefer gentle voice ranges that aren't too high or too low.

I'll give you a few recommendations.

#1: Escaped Audios! He's the very best VA at making you feel like you are living in a movie. All of his stories are heartfelt and exciting, most have slow-burn romances. Most of his characters have a gentle, mid-range voice that isn't too high or too deep (though he as a couple deeper voiced characters). I like his style of acting because he sounds very sincere and "real" when he talks. My two favorite playlists from him are Matador Gothic (his dramatic vampire slayer adventure) and The New Jersey Rats (a mafia-themed Romantic comedy).

I've followed him since Matador Gothic came out a little over a year ago but he's only recently started to gain hype after being super under-rated for a long time. If you like GBA's style of story telling you'll probably like him too. The only downside you might experience is that his stories usually don't leave a lot of room for fluff, so there are no cuddle audios or sleep aids etc on his channel. That said he's my current favorite, is incredibly creative and original, and he's amazing at supercharging my brain with serotonin.

#2: Obsidian Lantern. He has some of the most immersive sound production of any VA I've ever seen. Some of his earlier stuff is a little weird and clumsy but once he catches his footing he's great. His voice is very gentle and comforting to me, and he'll even speak a little Spanish sometimes.

His Gator Boys series is great and actually ties in with the lore of a few other VA's universes! I also really like his Merfolk series. He also plays around with common tropes while putting his own unique spin on them and I really like that too. He also makes all of his own art, and he not only draws thumbnails but actually makes illustrations of the scenes in his audios which is super cool. Overall really great, I think you'd like him.

#3. ZSaku VA. His playlists start out a little slow but over time his style evolved to be more cinematic. I really like his Vampire series (the Xanthus playlist) and his two interconnected crime series (The Elias and Issac playlists). They're good from the outset and just get better. Lately he's been making higher-stakes stories with more collabs and I love that. He's also collabed with a bunch of the other people I mentioned, which I love to see.

He has a nice balance between fluff and story-telling, and lots of his plots/characters connect to one another. If you like Redacted Audio you'll probably like ZSaku. The only downside is that he takes a long time in between episodes of each series, and works on multiple series at the same time, so if you really get into one playlist you might end up feeling a bit impatient.

#4: YuuriVoice. He's got a rotating cast of characters and he's one of my long-time comfort channels. He has ongoing plots throughout all of his series, but his stuff is mostly character-based. It's worth listening to everything and getting attached to his characters, as their development gets better and more complex over time.

He can do a pretty broad range of voices too, and they all feel unique and fresh. He has done some MHA/fanfic type audios before in the past but over time he transitioned to focusing on his own original characters and I love all of them.

#5: Shining Armor ASMR. I like him more as a comfort/fun/fluff channel. A great channel for listening to little bite sized audios with fun character concepts and lower stakes. I also like his voice and his accent, and it's fun seeing him do different voices within his accent. Definitely more on the fluff side but I think you'd appreciate him!

That's about it! There are more channels I like but based on your tastes I think you would like those channels. Also, honorable mention to Desmond ASMR. I love him but he's been on hiatus for like a year now!

speaking of reading...reading updates <3

i've been having an interesting reading year! currently i'm reading:

meet me in the bathroom, lizzy goodman: a foray into the 2000s new york band scene—i'm going through this far too slowly for my liking, but it's very well structured so far

at the same time: essays and speeches, susan sontag: it's sontag! what else can i say?

and some favourites so far (i.e books i've rated 4-5 stars):

the new york trilogy, paul auster: i finished this just yesterday! gosh, what a trip. sometimes you read a book and you realise, "oh, you can do that with words? really?", and this book exemplifies that feeling. what an interesting experiment in language and genre, truly

in the penal colony, franz kafka: had to read this for my world lit class—i think it's one of the last works of his i had left. dark, brooding and subtly horrifying, and liked it enough that i gave a presentation on it last week!

tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow, gabrielle zevin: this year i'm really trying to get back into reading contemporary novels, and to start with this was truly a treat. admittedly, my expectations were not that high, considering its popularity, but gosh was this highly affecting. if you're interested in creativity, ambition, and the effects it has on people/dynamics when supercharged, you might like this

Expansion to Metallurgy?

"Metallurgy" is one of those Quirk that is developed by the user's skill and creativity rather than evolving the Quirk itself. So training would involve the user learning how to best charge and utilize metals they come into contact with, trying to expand their control over the metal, and experimenting with how the energies interact with the metals and each other. This could help them charge metal faster, gain better control over how that energy is utilized, or cause minor increases in how much metal they could target with the Quirk. Otherwise, the user would be learning how to master the tools of their choice, like charging various arrow heads only to then practice shooting them at targets to practice their aim and to see what happens. Experimentation could help a lot here in order to figure out what ways the energy could be used in different containers.

Evolving would be learning what they could do with all of the energy they could infuse. Things like nuclear energy to make explosives, electrical energy to shock people, potential energy for high speed arrows, gravitational energy to trap people, thermal energy to make fire, and other things like that. Maybe they could even learn how to mix the energy together at different parts of the metal for different effects. These aren't going to be that powerful, but they certainly give a lot of options. A cool way it could evolve would be by having the energy the user makes interact with certain metals. For example, they could put a bunch of electrical energy into copper to make it stronger, or using lead with nuclear energy could help focus the blast at a point. Super Moves would come down to supercharging the metals with the energy for greater, yet unstable, effects.

For equipment, the most obvious choice would be some kind of bow or dart launcher. That way, the user could charge and launch pieces of metal at people from however far away they wanted. So having a good bow, crossbow, or wrist launcher and quiver could help the user a lot. Maybe they could incorporate some traditional trick arrow designs into the mix as well, like arrows that split to make an electrical arc. Some headgear to protect the user's eyes would be good as well, so they could make their shots. Maybe they could have some tech, like reading wind speed, to help make their shots. Though there's actually a lot of metal tools that would work with the Quirk. Throwing knives, caltrops, coins, ball bearings, spearheads, short lengths of wires, bags of metal powder, or whatever you could find in a tool box. Keeping these as backups would help the user a lot.
