A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes (A “SOS, From Sodor” Short Fic)

WARNINGS!: D34TH, GRIEVING, EYE INJURY, BL00D, ANGST WITH NO COMFORT, SKIN AND EYE INJURY, RADIATION BURNS, EXISTENTIAL CRISES

And with a flick, the disc slowly started to spin on the gramaphone a familiar tune flowing through the living room. Thomas turned his head in playful disapproval.

“Really, Edward? Disney songs?”

“What can I say? Their songs are just wonderful”, Edward grinned.

Thomas sighed. He didn’t like Disney so much, he thought that their movies were not very good. Edward, on the other hand, was a fan who loved listening to their songs.

“I don’t really get why you like them so much. Not that they’re bad, I just don’t see why.”

Edward simply smiled as he set his book on the table in front of the couch Thomas was sleeping on.

“Their music makes me think of a world”, he replied. “One where we can be good.”

“I thought you believed people could be good”, interjected Thomas.

“Did you expect me to fully believe that?”, the old man laughed. “This world is full of greed, hatred. Pure corruption. When I listen to these songs, I think of a world where we can redeem ourselves.”

“A place where the bravery and kindness of people can touch the hearts of the broken and reunite them as one. One with blooming flowers and forests with birds and little creatures all around, unharmed by men who realized their wrong doings. With streets where we could all say ‘hello’ cheerfully without prejudice. A utopia that could fix this planet.”

Thomas stared intently at Edward. He knew Edward more as a sagely yet hopeful elder and less of a man grounded to a horrible reality.

“To me, that is an ideal world to live in”, he continued, gazing at the sunrise outside the window. “But I doubt there is anyway for that to fully happen.”

Thomas stayed silent. He moved so the old man could sit next to him.

“Edward”, the boy started. “Did something happen?”

“I’m not sure, Thomas”, he answered. “I suppose I just woke up feeling like this.”

The young man frowned.

“W-Well....”

Edward's eyes shifted to him.

“I know that this world isn’t good, but I think it’s the people you find that count.”

“Oh, really? Like who?”, the elder teased.

“Me! You found me! Don’t you cherish me as your fellow train driver?”, Thomas asked with a smirk.

Edward was stunned, but he began to chuckle. The knew that Thomas said that knowing he can't deny it.

“Yes, I do, you little puffball”, Edward snickered.

But it was true. He did care for Thomas.

He’s been by his side ever since he guided him when he first came to Sodor. He was cheeky, fussy and impatient, yes. But for some reason, even with those traits, he loved him unconditionally. Throughout the years he has grown into a more different person, and he can’t help but feel proud.

“And yeah, wishes like that rarely come true. That's why we're here. To make the effort for them to exist”, Thomas reassured.

Edward raised his eyebrow. “I never thought I would hear words like that from you.”

“Anything for my elder”, the youngin’ beamed.

“Aren’t you a sweet thing!”, Edward cooed.

Thomas giggled as his hand slithered unto Edward's shoulder. The two laughed until the old man was reminded of the music he was playing. He opened his mouth and out came an award-losing voice...

“A dream is a wish your heart makes~♪”

Thomas cringed. Edward wasn’t that bad, but in truth, he wouldn't win a contest. Even so, he grinned from ear to ear from the effort.

“Edward, sto̯̱̊͊͢p̞̈͑̚͞!”, ḣ̖̻͛̓ẹ̿͋̒̕ s̠҉͍͊ͅā̤̓̍͘ỉ͔͖̜͌ḑ̴̞͛̒ ĝ̽̓̀͑l̙͖̑̾ͣẹ̿͋̒̕ẹ̿͋̒̕f̵͖̜̉ͅư̡͕̭̇l̙͖̑̾ͣl̙͖̑̾ͣy҉̃̀̋̑—

—That's what Edward also told himself. As he looked blankly into Thomas’ eyes.

Thomas didn't retort this time. He just stayed silent. Edward's mind slowly went empty as blood dripped from his hands.

"Keep singing, Dad—"

More blood spat out from his puffball's mouth, as he bled and bled.

“Whatever y҉̃̀̋̑o̯̱̊͊͢ư̡͕̭̇ w̦̺̐̐͟ỉ͔͖̜͌s̠҉͍͊ͅḣ̖̻͛̓ f̵͖̜̉ͅo̯̱̊͊͢r̴̨̦͕̝, y҉̃̀̋̑o̯̱̊͊͢ư̡͕̭̇ ḳ̯͍̑ͦẹ̿͋̒̕ẹ̿͋̒̕p̞̈͑̚͞.”

Edward singing grew more and more incoherent as deep pain grew in his chest. It kept tightening and tightening, just like his grip on the boy.

“Have faith in your dreams and someday, Your rainbow will come smiling through”

His mind drew back to a memory in this room. One where he was also singing to Thomas like this. There was just, less blood involved.

"H-hey, do you remember when you sang to m-me?..You were t-terrible!...It kept m-me awake the w-whole night, I wish we could've had more nights like that....maybe we us dueting...singing ABBA....and..."

......

It was all over. Over.

No amount of repressing could stop Edward from the growing coldness of the man in his hands, and the never-ending voices screaming in his mind.

He remembered what Thomas said to him on that day, when he was questioning his life.

“N̺̻̔̆ͅo̯̱̊͊͢ ḿ̬̏ͤͅā̤̓̍͘t̲̂̓ͩ̑t̲̂̓ͩ̑ẹ̿͋̒̕r̴̨̦͕̝ ḣ̖̻͛̓o̯̱̊͊͢w̦̺̐̐͟ y҉̃̀̋̑o̯̱̊͊͢ư̡͕̭̇r̴̨̦͕̝ ḣ̖̻͛̓ẹ̿͋̒̕ā̤̓̍͘r̴̨̦͕̝t̲̂̓ͩ̑ ỉ͔͖̜͌s̠҉͍͊ͅ ĝ̽̓̀͑r̴̨̦͕̝ỉ͔͖̜͌ẹ̿͋̒̕v͒̄ͭ̏̇ỉ͔͖̜͌ṇ̤͛̒̍ĝ̽̓̀͑”

He really wanted— no, he needed to hear something from him again. Just this one last time—even if it only lasted for a few seconds.

“I̍̅̀̎̊f̵͖̜̉ͅ y҉̃̀̋̑o̯̱̊͊͢ư̡͕̭̇ ḳ̯͍̑ͦẹ̿͋̒̕ẹ̿͋̒̕p̞̈͑̚͞ on believing...”

He couldn't hear James and Henry approaching, a scream coming right after they stopped dead in their tracks.

“...The dream that you wish will come true~♪”

"...Eddie, I love you, but was terrible."

"I-Oh, come on! It wasn't that bad...”

Edward stared at his son, and cried. As no amount of wishes could ever bring back the lifeless body in his arms.

I am officially labelling this as the most depressing fic I have created for now.

But no seriously it was sad then @itsjustempathy HELPED ME AND OOOHHHH......

Either way, have a depressing fic about my AU, “SOS, From Sodor”! This AU is simply Sodor Fallout, but all the engines are completely human and there's some different stuff here (ex: the mutation is not caused by a nuclear explosion) and it doesn't have a defined ending. There are currently three main endings depending on what happens. Thomas dying here leads to the so-called bad ending, “Eternal Slumber”. You can take a guess on what happens lol

I wrote this fic cus uuh, I thought that what if Edward and Thomas had a similar moment like Duck and Oliver (one dying while a wistful song plays)

I've been hearing and seeing a lot of MLP infection AU, so in a bit of an artist drought, I came up with a TTTE infection AU. T-Disease: An infection that only infects sentient vehicles, though humans can be poisoned by the spores the "reefs" produce. The infection causes reef like roots to spread through those infected. This will start causing the engine pain and only intensifying as the infection progresses. Eventually, the pain will drive the engine mad. In the mid stage the roots can act like nerves and allows the engine to drive themselves. In the final stage the roots will split the infected engine in two and root itself into the ground where the engine once stood and begin to produce spores to further the infection via contaminating coal, water, and diesel fuel. Gordon: Immune Edward: Not infected. Henry: Not infected. Running low on non-contaminated coal. Toby: Unknown. Last seen with Henrietta at Wellsworth. Salty: Early-stage infection. Got infected while protecting Percy from an infected Porter. Percy: Not infected? Isn't sure. Too shaken up by Porter trying to attack him. Feels responsible for getting Salty infected. Emily: Not infected. Currently helping in evacuating passengers to the mainland while trying to evade an infected Spencer. Spencer: Late-stage infection. Patient zero. Currently chasing after Emily. Started acting weird after returning with the Duke and Duchess of Boxford from holiday to Belfast.

The Spencer Post

Hi this is where I explain my observed nuances with Spencer and how I personally characterize him. Explaining why I think he acts the way he does. Please note that like 90 percent of this is headcanon.

Let’s get some backstory on Spencer. His job is to be the personal private engine of the Duke and Duchess of Boxford. This is a very prestigious job, one unsurprising of his class of engine. Being a Gresly and being implied siblings with the real life engine Mallard, he has a lot of expectations and responsibilities put on his buffers. On top of that, let me remind you he is a private engine. Not only does he carry the weight of expected perfection as the other greslys, he has to look good and be the status symbol for the Duke and Duchess. He has. So much to keep on top of, to keep track of and remember. He arguably might have more expectations placed on him than Gordon or Scotsman.

Not only that but Spencer is very….alone. He doesn’t fit in anywhere on account of his position. He’s not really a mainland engine because he’s not always on the mainland. He’s not a Sodor engine because he doesn’t live on Sodor, he lives with the Duke and Duchess presumably at their main house somewhere else. He’s a puzzle piece that doesn’t fit into either picture.

But how does this affect how he acts? Why does he act like such an asshole? Well, the answer is a bit more complex than you might think. As we all know, steam engines are always at a risk of being scrapped. The exception being Sodor because Sodor is a steam sanctuary. But on the mainland it’s a different story. If engines on the mainland are at risk for being scrapped for not being useful enough, what’s to stop them from sabotaging each other in order to get a leg up on them. To make their competition look bad just so they can live another day. On the mainland its every man for himself. And if you want to survive, you take out the weakest.

And Spencer, poor poor Spencer, already burdening the weight of perfection on his shoulders and his status as an outcast fueling his desperate need for validation and need to fit in. Lets the mainland engines’ way of thinking pollute his brain. This idea of needing to take out those below you, less useful and who are a threat, infects his mind and influences his actions. He thinks he needs to get rid of those underneath him so he can continue to survive, to not jeopardize his position as private engine.

And he takes this way of thinking to Sodor. He harasses Edward and says he should be scrapped before losing to him in a race. He hunts down Hiro because he thinks he’s a piece of rusted scrap metal and nothing more. He becomes rotten. Vindictive. Vitriolic.

But…. He gets better. He gets lectured pretty harshly by the Duke and Duchess for his hunt on Hiro. And he spends more time on Sodor. And once again, he’s influenced. Because at heart, Spencer is a people pleaser. And this fact is important.

Because Spencer’s personality and morals seem to fluctuate wildly throughout the show. Sometimes he’s a great guy, if a bit snobbish, and in others he’s quite possibly the biggest asshole ever known. And here’s why I think that is. Spencer pingpongs between Sodor and the mainland. Thus his personality is influenced by whoever he is around. And to be frank, the mainland engines are massive pricks, and would 100% tell Spencer he’s too soft or insane for letting a “useless hunk of scrap iron” live. For not falling into the every man for himself mentality. And so every time he returns to Sodor he’s been conditioned to think that way because he molds into whatever people tell him to be.

And on Sodor he molds into a better person. I think that later on in the series where his personality is more solid and less horribly inconsistent, he genuinely comes into his own with the help of the Sodor engines. Knowing that he always has a place on Sodor and grows out of the mainland mindset for good

He learns. He grows. Yes he fucked up bad but he was heavily misguided and insecure about not only fitting in, but also being perfect. His mind was poisoned but it got clearer. He finally made friends and has a place he can say he belongs to.

I love Spencer, I only want the best for him.

(Hey, me again lol) Were the Narrow Guage engines affected at all in your monster au?

Mmm... See this is a tough one, and I've tried to give it some thought because I'm trying to put an actual storyline to this AU.

Most of the first infected were the big guys that would be located on the lower parts of Sodor, and not up in the mountains where the narrow gauges usually are. But here's the thing: those suckers can CLIMB. And climb good. They may not seem like they're made for such a thing but engines like Nia, Thomas, and Percy could straight up mountain goat across sides of mountains provided they have no cars and enough wiggle room to balance. And the bigger engines are able to effortlessly scale the railroad tracks up into higher areas, they can jump too. Lighter engines can go higher, but bigger engines have more power to go further, no matter what way you spin it, even Toby can get a bit of distance by jumping.

All this to say, the mountain engines would be safe for the length of time that the other engines were unaware of this while feral. Once it was discovered, the Skarloey Railway was advised to be on high alert, as Rebecca had found it very easy to get close to the railway all on her own...of course despite being feral, she wasn't aggro at the time. Just a very curious animal. But it still would be cause for alarm, because they retain memories from their feral periods. Were she to do so again while irritated, she could possibly cause infection in the narrow gauges herself or even bring her "siblings" (aka the tidmouth tank engines) up there (as the four have been observed sticking together more often) to take them out as a team. It's a very very big possibility that the mountain engines could be attacked at any time if they're not well guarded. But I want to say...as of right now...no? I'm not 100% certain, as you can see I've got ideas but I'm vary wishy washy on who is and who isn't, as I'm also unsure if Belle is infected. I can say with absolute certainty that the castle crew aren't infected though! They're very well protected due to historic value, and that protection was only increased when the monster epidemic started.

The Parasitus Virus:

This virus has an unknown source, we don't know where it came from, it just appeared out of "Thin air".

However, we do know how to detect someone/something that has been infected, here are the 5 stages of the parasitus virus shown by LMS no 41241 also known as Arthur:

STAGE 1: Tiredness and cold sweat

The infected will feel tried, weak and nauseous, they wouldn't know what was going on, most would just brush it off as just a common cold, but that's their first mistake...

STAGE 2: leaking black sludge from mouth, eyes and the top of smokebox door/Face

The host has more control over the infected engine, starting to feel sick, face becomes more pale and their sight starts to become blurry like their going blind...

STAGE 3: Aggressive behaviour around anyone they see

Engine no 41241 was seen trying to attack the Sodor Rail Repair engine named Sid, luckily, Douglas was their to back down the large tank engine, if it wasn't for him, who knows what would of happened to Sid...

STAGE 4: Loss of life in the face

The host has almost full control over the body, it's too late to save them now, his eyes become a yellowy colour and sight seems to be gone, large red veins can be seen pulsing on the eyes, more black sludge starts to form on the face, no 41241 moan like a zombie as he breathed his last breath...

Final Stage: iT hAs BeEn DoNe

All of no 41241 has been erased from this plane of existence only the host lives now in it's new shell, It's only goal... Is to feast on flesh, metal, anything it can eat... there is no way in stopping it....

Toby in my Human AU was born on a farm. He grew up with cows, sheep, and chickens and he used to go out bright and early to tend to the herd of sheep his father owned. He also took part in almost every school agriculture club and liked showing their prized sheep and cows off at the fair. Toby also had a little Shetland pony that he used to ride. He always used to think that he was going to grow up as a farmer.

Unfortunately, times did get rough, one year they lost two thirds of their sheep to an outbreak of respiratory infections, with their livelihood gone, the farm was foreclosed and the family moved.

Toby eventually found work on a tramway and settled down on a life driving the tram engines, he still loves sheep, he kind of wonders if he would like to own a small little hobby farm when he retires, but he decided that it would be too much work for his and Henrietta’s age, and honestly, he’s very content with his little house in Sodor’s countryside. It’s small, quiet, and peaceful. What more could he possibly want?

This is a kind of my AU

And the name is called Monsterization AU

It's kind of like Thomas and friends but they look like they've been possessed by a demon.

It's kind of hard to me explain about it

But I'm going to try to explain it the best I can so here it goes,The Monsterization AU is where some type of correction gets out and infects all engines on sodor, some having worse corruptions than others.

It doesn't affect humans due to the fact the engines are less sentient so they're a vessel to the corruption. Engines can also vary in what they have.

Examples can include Thomas gaining multiple eyes all over him,even on his main face. The Corruption can also spread via their strongest desire, some easier to decide, some easier to decide than others.

But they aren't violent unless beforehand they would have well-known violent tendencies. Gordon,Diesel, Diesel 10 and George can be the minimum expensives.

They also have more limited capabilities depending on how old they are. An engine like Hiro would be weaker compared to someone like Spencer. But this can change if they are fixed up or renewed every now and then.

And that's probably it and I didn't think of this my friend helped me cuz I'm not good at explaining stuff but here it is.

Monster Engine Infection/Virus AU Rambles Stankyle Angst:

Yep, I’ve joined the bandwagon basically Kyle gets released from the lamp with the organization’s “assistance” though they had their own plans and made Kyle “patient 0” well for the narrow gauge engines and dumped him nearby the skarloey railway after he attempted to escape where he was then found recused and reunited with Stanley who’s is overjoyed and immediately keeps him updated one everything that has happened, weeks to a month pass and Kyle is settling in nicely Stanley has done all he can to help him recover to the point that the older engines had to tell him to take a break cause he’s overworking himself (guy wants to impress Kyle so bad he’s got it bad)

Then one day after having to handle people and differing them about “proteus” he falls “ill” at the same time some of the standard and miniature engines fall “ill” Stanley is understandably nervous and worried for Kyle often staying up late into the night keeping Kyle company who seems to be getting worse each passing day…

The currently skarloey railway manager, Sir Handel Hans Brown understands Stanley’s feelings and lets him stay though it’s the older engines mainly Duke and Nia gently yet firmly convincing him that Kyle wouldn’t want to see him running himself down to the ground as he’s doing both of their jobs.

So for the first time in what felt like ages Stanley leaves Kyle on his own devices in the shed with Kyle’s encouragement of course it getting hard to smile and remain confident in himself but he hold his grin till Stanley is out of view…

So when Stanley returns as quickly as he can worried but hopeful he finds the shed doors closed which is odd Kyle always wants them open even in rainy or snowy weather he hasn’t experienced it in 50 years

“Hey Kyle I’m back,sorry it took so long-…” So his driver and fireman,Benji and Charlie, Ruth’s apprentices who Stanley watched grow up after Ruth took him in before he went to the mid-sodor railway open the doors..,

It’s dark..there’s a strong stretch none of them can place..but over in the corner hunched over…something..Stanley could make out the familiar shape of Kyle..a nagging sense of dread filled his boiler as Stanley prayed to the Lady above that this wasn’t real..

“Kyle?”

Golden eyes turned to his names, no they’re not Kyle’s warm honey brown eyes they’re now more feline-like with bright red silts and golden irises and matching light sclera, sparkling ✨ glittering ✨ golden tears dripping from them and his mouth…

“K-Kyle?..” it was then he finally noticed what Kyle was…chewing at…ripping up..or what remained of a certain B12 that was their former supervisor..

Alfred…

Everyone throughout the entire railway was alerted to the sounds of Stanley’s gut wrenching screams of absolute sadness and terror, Benji and Charlie screamed too but not as loudly as Stanley as people workman and any nearby engines rushed over to contain Kyle who was reaching out a clawed?paw?hand?engines don’t have fur engines don’t have hands towards Stanley…

“S-Stan?” Minutes before Stanley screamed, Kyle managed to mutter a “run…please…” trying so hard to keep his new instincts,his urges but finally gave in as he became aware of the horrified looks and shouts from everyone ,their pointed fingers and some of them holding… no he won’t be trapped anymore, he won’t let them trap him…

Without thinking he lunged towards the first thing he saw coming towards him,being Duke, Nia,Skarloey,Rheneas, Charlie and Benji..Stanley now realizing what he has done immediately rolled forward towards him calling out for him as Kyle turned his attention to Stanley....

like god the feels and how everyone gotta be handling this especially Stanley considering he nearly loses an eye (he and Thomas have eye trauma here and Kyle is either directly or indirectly involved…) gotta do a follow-up post on this and maybe art…

The Sodor Red Stone Infection Part 3

Note: This content bleeding, bites and screams after Amber knocks bah-bah unconscious, she takes her to the outside of her house along with the trio and Ryan brings back Edward and Emily along with doll.

Thomas: “echo voice to bah-bah” Bah-Bah, wake up Bah-Bah!

Bah-Bah: “wakes up” Thomas?

Angel: Bah-Bah! Thank goodness you’re awake, here have some water. “Gives her water”

Bah-Bah: Wait, we’re am I? What happened!?

Thomas: It’s alright your safe here, we’re at Amber’s house.

Bah-Bah: Amber’s House?? No, no I should not be here!! “Panics” SUZI!!!

Angel: Bah-Bah calm down!!

Bah-Bah: No! Suzi and Valarie are still at the hyper mart!! They are not okay.

Thomas: Um, Amber didn’t mention about Valarie and Suzi and what do you mean they are not okay?!

Bah-Bah: They’re not safe.

Amber: “walks in” Oh Bah-Bah, You Awake! Thank gosh.

Bah-Bah: “turns around and looks at Amber Angry” YOU.

Amber: Bah-Bah, I know your upset but-

Bah-Bah: “punches Amber”

Angel: BAH-BAH!!

Thomas: What are you doing?!

Amber: Uhhhh, my head.

Ryan: What is Wrong with you Bah-Bah?! Amber just saved you!

Bah-Bah: OH, Saved me? By knocking me out and not letting me save my friends?!

Thomas and Angel: “Looks at Each other then to Amber and Bah-Bah”

Bah-Bah: “looks at Thomas for a second then to Amber” did you tell them?

Amber: I had to leave out a few details to them.

Ryan: You Knocked Bah-Bah unconscious?!

Yap: you said to me and yip that she was in danger and we had to get to your house immediately!

Amber: She is in Danger, in danger of becoming like Carol! You know what that means do you Thomas?

Thomas: becoming like Carol?

Doll: did you tell them?

Bah-Bah: Tell us What?!

Amber: What Became of Suzi, that’s what happened to Carol and that happened because Carol bite Suzi. And Out there at the hyper mart you said that Valarie got bite as well.

Bah-Bah if you go back in there, we all know you wound have had the same fate so I saved you!

Abby: Wait! So what happened to Carol, can happen to other people?!

Ryan: if they are bitten, that’s what it seems like.

Bah-Bah: So you Amber, out of the kindness in your heart decided to knock me unconscious so I wouldn’t go help my friends? And now they’re left to.. rot??

Amber: Not Exactly, we don’t know why this is happening to them there’s so much more to research. I got Ryan and Doll to find 2 engines to know about these stones called “Red Stones”

Angel: Red Stones? I’ve not heard of them.

Amber: it’s a red rock that has not been seen in many years, Carol found them and well being contact with them and she got infected.

Bah-Bah: So Now, Suzi and Valarie are Infected as well?

Amber: That doesn’t mean there is no cure and that’s why I need you guys, I need the furry six this something faced before but it’s a disease we have no idea about.

Thomas: but if believe you and them all together, the elements of sodor-

Amber: We can figure something out Thomas, “to Bah-Bah” Ok?

Bah-Bah: “look angrily at Amber and Walks to The Crouch and Sits”

Amber: Hey, You can be Mad at me Bah-Bah and I’m just glad that your here safe

Percy: This Conversation you people and engines forgot, that we have to tell Sir Topham Hat!

Angel: Oh No, We have to tell every engines on Sodor too about this disease.

Amber: for this disease you guys are talking about, we have to tell all the engines about it and them The Fat Controller.

James: Well from apart from the red stone, it matches my paintwork “makes a smutty face”

Amber: James Focus, in Carol’s Notebook, she explained the stages she went through so James what i need you to do is tell Sir Topham Hat about this disease and also tell him this is real stuff. Me and Thomas needs to figure out much as we can do.

Bah-Bah: Ok, Also Because Yap and Yip are Part of the Furry Six and Even Though Suzi is Now Infected, also when it comes to the rest of the people here and you don’t care?!

Thomas and Percy: “Cross” What are you saying?! You want everyone infected too?!!

Amber: We’re Not Letting Anyone else get sick! But Bah-Bah makes a good point.

Thomas: “looks at Amber confused” What? Your not going to tell Sir Topham Hat?

Amber: Thomas, you may not have been infected but I Don’t know how this thing spreads until I do I’m going to put you, James and Percy in a safe shed.

Thomas: Oh, like a shelter? Ok???

Percy: Can’t we at least help you with this disease? We can’t let this spread anyone else!

Bah-Bah: “Rudely” Well Valarie looked fine, but that wasn’t enough for you Amber?

Amber: This is the best way to keep you safe Bah-Bah, Keep an eye on you and see what I can do to help you.

Ryan: and what can do to help her? What if she try’s to go back to the hyper mart and become like Carol?

Amber: Then we’ll turn her back.

Doll: and what if you can’t?

Amber: we’ll think of something else.

Ryan: um, another problem I’d like to tell.

Amber: “turns around” what is it?

Ryan: your missing too of the elements.

Angel: Well me and Percy can go get Them.

Amber: No, that’s too risky and Dangerous. I got you guys here and I want you to stay here safely, I don’t know how far this infection has gone but we need to find a way to contact with Yap and Yip and the Skarloey without setting a foot or wheel out of here.

James: Why don’t you send them a letter that makes more sense, you know like how when your mom is away.

Amber: Well I Doesn’t work like that, I can also sent letters to Engines or The Fat controller.

Bah-Bah: I guess you can get Percy to do it for you, as he is not in the furry six and you won’t care if he gets infected.

Abby: “cross” Bah-Bah!

Amber: Sending a Letter by Train is to slow, no offends Percy.

Percy: I can take it😉

Amber: We Can contact Sir Topham Hat and Skarloey themselves, and explain the situation see what they think.

Thomas: Yeah! They”ll know! They may faces something like this before.

Percy: Yep, It feels a lot better to know that Skarloey and Sir is with us.

Amber: Ok “looks at Doll” Doll take a message!

Later at The Quarry

Skarloey: “Reading the message with Sir Topham Hat holding it” Sir, it seems that Amber and Her friends are in Trouble, but we’re already in a situation of our own”looks at his friends Yell that is Already Infected and in a cage” aren’t we yell?

Yell: “Breathing Heavily and Growling”

Skarloey: “Hears a Whistle” come in.

Peter Sam: “Comes in Skarloey’s Big Shed and chuffs next to him” I know you said she wasn’t well but I didn’t imagine-

Skarloey: This happened a few days ago after she came back from exploring the whispering woods, now Yell doesn’t seem to recognize me at all.

Peter Sam: The Sickness! What is it doing to Her?!

Skarloey: This Seems to be doing something to her from the inside, those stones that are growing out of her skin are Red Stones, Peter Sam I wanted you to see this for yourself understand this stone is from many years ago and it’s growing again, the affect it has on people is not good.

Peter Sam: W-well what have you done to help her? Have you tried anything??

Skarloey: none of the medicine is not helping and each day it’s getting worse.

Peter Sam: “Sadly and Chuffs closely to Yell” Oh Yelly.

Skarloey: I’d stay away from those bars Peter Sam, She showed violent outbursts.

Peter Sam: So That’s Why she is put in a cage?

Skarloey: I’m not risking it spreading though the quarry, and it’s your job to make sure it doesn’t spread though the Blue Mountains Quarry and Peter Sam it’s reached Yap’s Hyper Mart! Amber has told me so.

Peter Sam: Does She and Thomas know about Yell’s..Condition?

Skarloey: No, she has enough in her mind as it it, she and Thomas are looking for a cure and I think if we put are minds together surely we can come up with something.

Peter Sam Was Quiet for a moment and then speaked.

Peter Sam: So, you want me to go back to the Blue Mountain Already?

Sir Topham Hat: Keep the rest of the narrow gauge engines safe and don’t let no one near Yell, Do Not let anyone bit.

Skarloey: and the stones that bloomed there, don’t let your driver Darla touch them. The Red Stones have a weird peculiar glowing smell but just in case stay clear of it.

Darla: Do we have The Police Officers to destroy the many red stones we have?

Skarloey: It Cannot Be Done Darla, They Glow back up faster and also you two will put risk of the police officers of being infected too, We Have Friends Peter Sam and Darla just like Thomas, Keep them Safe.

Peter Sam: Ok, I Have to go back immediately but, Amber, Thomas and their friends are they okay?!

Skarloey: At the moment yes, their isolating as well that’s all we can do.

Darla: Alright, We’ll going to be with the rest of the engines here. “To Yell” Bye Yelly.

When Yell Started Breathing Aggressively, Darla Started to Panic and jump on to Peter Sam’s Cab and Chuffs away.

Skarloey: I Swear Yell, I’ll find a cure.

At Tidmouth Sheds, Yap was Still Thinking about what happened in the woods.

Yip: “sees Yap unhappy” Hey, You still thinking about it?

Yap:”sighs” how could I not? The fear on Suzi’s face, The Blood from that bite mark that Carol did.

Yip: Yeah but I just don’t understand why Carol did it.

Rebecca: Huh? Are you girls okay?

Yap: “Sadly” I’m just worried about Suzi Rebecca.

Rebecca: She’ll be Fine Sweetie, She’s under The Nurse’s Care, She’s the best nurse on Sodor.

Yip: Yeah but I just keep on remembering the scream, Why wound Carol bite her?

Rebecca: “Sighs” I don’t know Sweetheart, Maybe she wasn’t well.

Yap: I just hope that she gets better soon two.

Nia: Listen you two, why don’t Chantel make you some peppermint hot chocolate?

Yip: Oh Yes Please!

Nia: “Hears a weird noise outside” “gasps”

Henry: “Screams” Bubbling Boilers!

Yap: What Was That Noise?!

Rebecca: Oh! Probably just the wind.

Yap: Um, Are you sure Becca?

Rebecca: Don’t be scared, let me just check”chuffs closer to the door of her berth”

Now She hears knocking

Henry: “Scared” Is someone knock on the door?

Edward: “Worried” I’m not Sure

Everyone was frightened, especially Gordon but then the door opens and it’s Luna the Were-Penguin

Luna: REBECCA!😀

Everyone: AHHHHHHH!!!

Gordon: “Cross” Luna!!

Luna: Hey Gordon! Is Something wrong guys?

Gordon: Well You scared the heck out of us!!

Luna: Well Sorry, didn’t mean to ya I was just trying to get in because it chilly outside and just thought that Amber, Thomas and the others were here too. You guys really need stop locking doors All the time anyone can come in here besides bad guys!

Yap and Nia: So what are you doing anyway?

Luna: Listen Everyone, something is going on here on Sodor, something is not right.

Emily: What on Sodor are you talking about Luna?

Luna: My Detective Senses were tingling, they’ve gotten worse and worse and something bad has arrived.

The Engines and Yap and Yip were Quiet and looked at each other then to Luna.

Yap: are you talking about what happened to Suzi?!

Luna: I don’t really know, what did happen to Suzi?

Emily: No this is not related, girls you can go in my cab if you want.

Yip: But Emily-

Emily: No Buts or your sleeping in the tiny shed tonight, your choice.

Yap and Yip: Ugh! Fine”went into her cab”

Emily: “Sighs” Luna you can’t just go around saying weird stuff that, you’ll be scaring young children.

Luna: “cross” Ok Bossy Boiler, Sorry for Trying to warn ya!!

Emily: Well what sort bad stuff are you talking about?

Luna: Well My Detective Tell me, like for instance I went to warn Bah-Bah, but when I got to the hyper mart I got this horrible feeling that just pulled away from there.

Emily: are you saying that Bah-Bah is not safe?! should we go help her?

Luna: No, You guys need to do the opposite “has a bag with her” here’s a bag of some stuff for you guys and yap and yip, first aid kit, just stuff that you don’t have to come outside for a while.

Emily: Why would I not come outside?

Luna: Emily Trust me, you don’t want to something is happening and don’t want you and the others to a part of this, and I know Amber and Thomas senses it too.

Emily: Well what do you expect me and the others engines to do?! Just take your advice and sit here with the children?

Luna: My Detective Senses never failed me before, do you think I’d lied to you about something bad like this?

Emily: “worried” No

Luna: Good! Now you stay here and I’ll be back tomorrow morning Alright? Don’t go outside i already talked with sir Topham hat.

Emily: Alright, I trust you

Luna: Awesome!! See ya later! “Walks out of the shed”

Emily: “to herself” how does she manage to stay so on the bright-side? There’s something bad here on Sodor but what?

I gotta say, despite tidmouththunderbolt being an ass to fan creators, sodor fallout is still one of my favorite horror creations in the thomas fandom.

As well as sovereign mind, although it’s just one video and not a whole series.

Thomas horror is something i think the fandom should definitely appreciate more and we should get plenty more fanworks!

I wanted to contribute, although I can’t exactly draw or use trainz to make videos, I thought i’d come up with an au of my own!

I call it ‘Sodor: Unknown’ and I’d like to think of it as a found footage sort of thing. Here’s a brief description:

Decades ago, the island of sodor was shut down and blocked off from the rest of the world out of the blue without an explanation. The world kept turning, but no one ever figured out what happened or why. Until one day, a film student and a group of her friends bribe a sailor to take them to Sodor so she can film a final project for her college.

The woman, i’ll call her Cat, used to love thomas and it sparked an interest in wanting to become a driver herself. The books, the tv show, they were all apart of her childhood, until Sodor was shut down mysteriously and all thomas content was cut from tv and books were pulled from the shelves. As she grew up, she switched to an interest in film and realized an amazing final work before graduation would be to solve the mystery and broadcast it to the general public, as well as considering it a way to close a chapter in her life.

However, when they arrive, things are unfortunately not what they seem.

During the course of several days, Cat and her group of friends discover that most of Sodor’s engines have become mutants, and the mystery behind why is just as disturbing as what the engines have become. Similar to Sodor Fallout, the government had forced Sir Topham Hatt to lend them an old line for government testing, where something of course went wrong and caused a horrible viral illness to cross the entire island…which only effected the engines and in turn caused most engines to mutate into flesh eating monsters, violent and aggressive, and so the entire island had been shut down and evacuated while the government tried to cover it up.

Now, because the sailor had never returned, Cat has to find a way off the island herself without being eaten or crushed, all while documenting the horrifying truth.

More specific details:

Henry is my favorite so he totally survives. I think he’d be the main engine that Cat finds and tries to drive as a means of escape. The end obviously has these two cross the bridge to the mainland and survive

Other engines will survive too! Although I’m not quite sure who yet. Another I want to survive is James for sure. Oh! And Diesel or 10.

Cat’s friends will NOT survive. The first person to die does so by a classic jumpscare. They’re walking down the road at a crossing, one of them notices that the tracks don’t look overgrown despite the rest of the island being overgrown, and brings it up. Someone else stops on the tracks and turns around to say something to brush it off like ‘well they’re not being RUN ON. This island’s been abandoned for twenty years! There’s no running eng-‘ and then BOOM! Without any noise or warning, Gordon thunders down the line and runs over their friend in a gory display and kills them instantly.

The island of sodor is apart of the real world, the Rev writing stories about the engines after visiting and thus creating a growing franchise and bringing people’s attention to these beautiful talking engines. So the books and tv show existed in the same world as the real island.

The island is shut down after government experiments sometime around the early 2000’s. I would say after TATMR but it really doesn’t matter when, it’s just been shut down for about twenty years.

The mutated trains can move themselves without a driver or fireman. However the engines who were lucky enough to not be infected or killed, the engines in hiding, still need a driver and fireman like any regular engine.

Not all mutated engines are killers. Some are lucky enough to survive with just a fucked up face and no murderous personality although i don’t have much else to add to this idea at the moment.

Hi I really like your work, I was wondering now how Hotr, duck vs diesel stuff, the Scottish twins esp spiteful brakevan and escape with Oliver works in giant au(how would they react to giants/other giants like Thomas to which twin was a giant, I forgot my bad) Is there a giant in the miniature line if there r any and what were the ardesdale reactions? Sorry for asking a lot

I'm not sure what hotr stands for so I'm afraid I can't answer that one. As for Duck vs Diesel, Diesel is a brand new build and is brought to Sodor fresh out of the works. At first Duck doesn't like the idea of a diesel coming to Sodor, especially since Diesel's class is basically the more modern version of Duck's class, so the panniers and 08's had a few issues here and there. Things get pretty bad and before the other can go too far Thomas puts a stop to it. He separates the two with Sir Topham's permission and Diesel goes to work at the quarry on Thomas's branch line. Diesel doesn't mind Thomas or other giants, he was born in a generation where giants are common after all. Originally Donald came to Sodor by himself, but he was always looking up and around wherever he went, almost like he was keeping an eye out for something. And ever since his arrival things had been going missing on the island. Some of the fish on Henry's train had been going missing, and Thomas and Glynn could sense something outside the sheds at night, and the engines could always feel the ground shaking at night whenever they had to pull a train. At some point a rouge giant came in kicking up a fuss, when Donald became in trouble from this savage who should appear out from the ocean with a mighty roar but Douglas! Douglas proceeded to almost kill the lawless giant when Thomas and Glynn stepped in and tore the two apart. It was a kaiju battle until the rouge giant fled and so did Douglas. Later on, Donald would explain who Douglas is to the others and they'd all head to the piers at Arlesbough. Donald would call for his brother and we'd get to see the twin giant of Donald the Caledonian. Eventually, Douglas would join the NWR with the support of Thomas and Glynn. As for the spiteful brake van? That wouldn't really happen since giants aren't allowed to push trains up hills for safety reasons. Oliver would be a giant on cull road (Giant death row). He'd be saved by Douglas no less and brought to Sodor to which he would be brought onto the fleet with his emotional support van Toad. Toad would be tied to Oliver's chest more than likely and be carried around by him everywhere they went. Duck and Oliver would be very close as per-usual but he would also be very close to Douglas. (Maybe developing a crush? Idk). As for if there's a giant on the Arlesdale? Yes, there will be. After Oliver visits the line Bert becomes infected and turns into a giant.
