1. Your character is now the leader of their species, whatever that looks like for them. How do they govern and what sorts of changes would they make, if any?

Hoo boy, what a time to become Imperator of the Iron Legion eh? I don't think she'd ever go for Khan-Ur, a legion is more than enough to worry about. But she's a good leader and she wouldn't make a bad imperator, whatever she might say. If this was after Icebrood Saga her priority would be projecting an impression of solidarity and getting back to normal. In the pursuit of that she'd be well allied with Crecia, even though I think Skoria would remain a little wary of her. She'd also reach out to the Vigil and/or Pact and invite them to help deal with the Dragonbrand, just to ease the number of threats Iron is having to personally stay on top of (same logic as the Ebonhawke truce). She'd be concerned with Iron's pride in relation to the other legions and outside races, but she sees that pride being better served by showing their strength to the rest of the world rather than being insular. She just won't be shy to retaliate if anyone insults the legion, which other races would have to learn.

6. They're now a heart NPC/part of a string of quests. What does that involve?

Occupation-wise Mjora is a hunter, and I can see her having a event chain in which she invites players to accompany her in finding traces of a great beast that's been rumoured in her part of the Shiverpeaks, then track it as an escort. The final event would reveal that it's a big dragon minion of some slightly unusual kind that meant it was mistaken for something else, and you'd kill it (leaving Mjora to complain there's no trophy to show for it, dragon minions aren't very good for that).

On the other hand, a "Suitorsbane" event could be fun. Have her somewhere in the mountains near her sister's house, perhaps asking you to distract or waylay some guy at first so he doesn't go and bother her and you end up helping her fend off a variety of norn and a couple of charr/others who want to come prove themselves worthy of Driffa's attention, while Mjora (and players) beat them up until they leave. Driffa comes out afterwards to ask what the fuss was and Mjora blatantly lies 😆

15. What is their favourite and least favourite part of being the commander?

Hmm, this is tough because I haven't written a lot of him as Commander yet (more how he gets there). I think the admiration for his skill and achievements really would please him at first - but Rhudain is sylvari and I think Heart of Thorns puts a stop to any sense that this is a fun adventure into fame and glory. The "correct" answer is that he cares about helping people, and he does, sure, but I think his favourite part of being the Commander might be that it gives him the power to change things. He can step up and people listen; if he believes something is necessary he can, when it comes down to it, take steps to make it happen. As stressful as responsibility is it beats feeling powerless. His least favourite part might be that people have started to assume he can always fix things, always find a way through impossible situations, and that means he's going to let people down - but he can't control the faith other people put in his legend.

So... Is Silverstream not dying?

As a follow-up to the post I just reblogged, no.

Well, I mean.... She will, eventually. Just not in Forest of Secrets. She's not immortal.

Silverstream BARELY survives giving birth to Featherkit and Stormkit. Yellowfang and Cinderpaw place her on complete bedrest, they won't even risk bringing her across the river, and she is too weak to feed the kittens.

Crookedstar, remembering Willowbreeze and Graypool tumultuous childhood and the death of Reedfeather, not to mention the stories of the Queen's Rights War, threatens another war. Riverclan is currently operating on the policy that any kit born with Riverclan blood is worth going to war over, stemming from the tragic loss of 3 rejected kittens in the river...

Featherkit and Stormkit are fed for a while by Speckletail and Goldenflower, who are currently doing some of their own personal reckonings about borders and outsiders.

When she is well enough, they go to stay in Riverclan to prevent the war. Graystripe gets kicked, Tigerclan begins, she amd her kids are held as prisoners, they are freed by a clever duo of cats from Riverclan and Shadowclan, so on and so forth. While Featherpaw and Stormpaw wish to go back to Riverclan, Silverstream cannot look at her beloved birth Clan anymore, and opts to stay in Thunderclan.

The Forest is destroyed, and Graystripe is taken away. Silverstream is not taken, and though she is devastated, she goes on the Journey as well. This also riding on the news that her daughter is also dead.

Graystripe returns with Cody and Smokepaw (quickly named Smokeheart) and Silverstream is overjoyed. They have kits a few books later in Eclipse, the B Triplets. Millie doesn't exist.

When Briarpaw's accident happens, Silverstream is many things. Sad because her daughter was hurt, frustrated that she couldn't stop it, anxious over her child's recovery... She is barely holding it together but she is NOT saying the things Millie said in canon that I don't wish to repeat. She isn't ableist, she's just... Scared. Helpless.

She still also makes a point to be a parent to the very worried and upset Bumblestripe and Blossomfall. (Note: The Dark Forest still recruits Blossomfall by exploiting her anxiety about Briarlight, that the Clan won't protect her/won't care for her etc.)

She makes efforts to learn about Briarlight's mobility devices, and what the exercises are specifically doing to help, thanks to Leafpool suggesting that she learn about them to help her daughter.

Silverstream dies towards the end of Squirrelflight's Hope, after spending all of AVOS getting more and more sick. Mapleshade's blood curse getting to her after a long life of hardships.

Leafstar’s Children

Name ideas for the three under the cut.

Firefern keeps her Fire- prefix until she joins ThunderClan. I’m thinking maybe Maple-, Russet- or Red- for her.

As for suffix I’d either make her a -fur or a -storm. Since she is up and down in who she is, but her attitude in Ravenpaw’s farewell seemed way more extreme than in Hawkwing’s Journey. Rip to her moving to ThunderClan, Firestorm could’ve been a cool name.

So uh- Maplestorm/Maplefur, Russetstorm/Russetfur or Redstorm/Redpelt for her.

Stormheart I’m gonna change to Robin-, and her suffix will be -pelt or maybe -stripe. So Robinfur or Robinstripe for her.

Also changed her to a normal tortie instead of ginger and grey. Also made her a tabby cause I can

I do kind of want to move the Storm- prefix over to Harrybrook, but I’m not sure yet. If not then maybe Smoke- or Stone-. But he’s a -heart as he’s willing to follow his moral code even if it does hurt him (such as leaving his mother and Clan to follow and keep Echosong safe).

So Stormheart (stolen from sister), Smokeheart or Stoneheart for him.

I’ll probably go ahead and keep their dad Billystorm. But he’s not in SkyClan. Just a kittypet instead.

Snowshadow still has whitecough because of her bad lungs, but all the others with whitecough got better, except for Pebblefade. Flutterwhisker has caught it this moon, though.

Okay so first of all, Pebblefade and Snowshadow's whitecough cases have cleared up.

SECOND OF ALL.

So, a random rogue attack DECIMATED the Clan. They killed Dustkit (SERIOUSLY THEY STARTED WITH A KIT), Splashfern, Podpelt, Willowtwist, Glintspots, Daisypelt, Bubblesplash, Wisteriadawn, Featherpaw, Birdclaw, Oakdawn, Speckleshine, Smokeheart, Bluffbreeze, and Shinecloud.

Nobody knew how the rogues got in UNTIL they spotted Rainface sharing prey with one of the rogues and it was realized that she had orchestrated this. The rogue was chased off, but Rainface was taken back to camp to be questioned. There, it came to light that she had always been part of the rogue group, and had been acting as a spy for them, in the hopes that they might take over LightningClan's territory. Lightningstar, enraged by what Rainface had done, after he had welcomed her in and been so welcoming to all cats who wished to join the Clan, called for her death, and Puddlestrike, who was Dustkit's elder half sibling, carried out the sentence.

I suspect this will lead to a more isolationist LightningClan in the future.

Rainface is officially the first Dark Forest cat from LightningClan.

In the wake of this tragic battle, Lilacpaw and Snailpaw became Lilacshock and Snailstripe. Their sister, Featherpaw, should have been with them, had she not been killed in the battle.

Seriously we lost 2/3 medicine cats and both mediators. I believe the cats will be looking to fill those roles. Bugdapple believes Aspenkit would be a good medicine cat apprentice. Additionally, Firefur, who lost his mate Splashfern in the battle and who has a strong connection to StarClan has decided to become a medicine cat, as he feels it is the best way he can help his Clan, and feels certain he will never want another mate. Meanwhile, Greenshade and Sandblossom have taken on the role of mediators.

However, the Clan does welcome a former kittypet, Heather, who had fallen in with the rogue group, who came to them with information on how to strike back and, hopefully, drive the rogues away, under the condition that LightningClan shelter her. Her name is now Heatherwish.

Timberpaw is now Timberjaw.

Blazetail and Fogstripe are taken away by twolegs.

Pebblefade's tail was injured by a dog.

Eaglepaw is now Eaglestorm.

Timberjaw has yellowcough

Greenshade has whitecough.

A cat named Buchito attempted to join the Clan, and was brought to Lightningstar, but was sent away.

Thunderpaw is now Thunderfall!

Jaggedfeather and Thunderfall are both sick with yellowcough and whitecough respectively.

Skypaw is now Skyclaw!

Primrosekit is now Primrosepaw apprenticed to Pebblefade, and Aspenkit is now Aspenpaw apprenticed to Gorsedapple.

However, soon after, Pebblefade was seen playing with a kittypet and, so soon after the devastation from the rogues, Lightningstar felt the need to act. He exiled Pebblefade.

Primrosepaw's new mentor is Snailstripe.

Jackdawclaw is expecting kits! Good for her. Presumably Piperfur is the dad, but it doesn't say for sure yet.

Jaggedfeather and Timberjaw have healed up!

Aspenpaw's tail is injured in a border fight.

Jackdawclaw and Piperfur's litter of three kits is born! Their names are Icekit, Dustkit (presumably after the Dustkit who was lost in the battle with the rogues), and Claykit!

Also, because we're past the year three mark, and RNG IN THE GAME STILL REFUSES TO GIVE ME CATS WHO ORGANICALLY CHOOSE TO BE MATES... time for me to do it again. The new mates are:

Firefur/Hornetstorm! Firefur used to be Splashfern's mate, so I guess... we love a bi king haha!

Sandblossom/Jaggedfeather!

Greyminnow/Gorsedapple!

Cypresstuft/Lizardleap! wlw pairing!!

Heatherwish/Palefern! Palefern was Podpelt's mate before she died.

Snowshadow/Lilacshock! mlm pairing! I actually think these two will be a power couple, and they even started this whole thing with mutual crushes on each other!

What if quince is a shadowclan cat named smokeheart and fall in love with Jake(who is bloodclan founder in this au)

(tinyheart(scourge) and patchdust are warriors of shadowclan while skull(ruby) is deputy of bloodclan)

Smokeheart is one of the most adventurous warriors of the clan. Due to her adventurous, but gentle personality, she has many admirers. However, she turns them all away. No cat in the clans can match with her. The only cats that could live outside clan borders. That's where she meets Jake.

Jake, who also has a taste for adventure, is establishing a clan. He and a few other cats left twolegplace wanting to find more in life. However, the tough city life hardened them. Smokeheart doesn't know that at the time and slowly falls for Jake, who has already fallen for her.

Smokeheart soon finds out that she's expecting and gives birth in secret with Jake by her side. At first, she wants to give all her kits to Jake, but she can't bear to lose all of them. Jake doesn't want to lose them either. They eventually decide to separate them. Jake took the molly while Smokeheart took the toms. They never meet face to face again.

Many moons later, Jake finds himself back in the forest when Tigerstar seeks him and Skull out. After he kills Tigerstar, he demands the forest. Smokeheart is forced to tell Tinyheart and Patchdust that he is their father and Skull is their sister. They are hardly able to believe that someone like that is their father.

Meanwhile, Skull has begun to question her father's actions and when he tells her that one of the clan cats is her mother, she makes up her mind and leaves Bloodclan. She finds Shadowclan and promises to tell them all of Bloodclan's secrets as long as they let her in, which they do.

When Skull meets her mother and brothers, they are cold towards her. However, after Jake is killed by his other son (Firestar) and the battle ends, they begin to accept her. Smokeheart is delighted to be with her all her kits once more!

Missing Kits, Part 2/?

Part 1

Dragonflykit - Greenflower's son, now surviving greencough. Dragonflypaw is mentored by Grasswhisker, and becomes Dragonflynose. However, between Firestar's Quest and Midnight, before the Forest starts getting ripped up, Dragonflynose slips off to the Moonstone and transitions, becoming Dragonflywing! She looks a lot like her mom.

Duckkit - Now a dark tortoiseshell molly with a small tail, Duckkit does still pass, but Greenflower is seen getting reassurance from Mudfur that he saw her in Starclan, running around with a moss ball.

Featherkit - Now Dappletail and Stormpelt's son. His death is now retconned. He was deaf, yes, but he wasn't a strong kit to begin with. He passed from fading kitten syndrome, but had a nice life before that, and was starting to get interested in herbs.

Cricketkit - A blue-gray tom like Bluestar, but with yellow eyes. He was apprenticed to Russetmoth, Willowpelt's father, and named Cricketfang. He is mates with Longtail's sister, Heatherwish, and now the father of Cinderpelt and Brackenfur.

Sol's siblings are brought up but they're for another post, as are Cloudtail's and Firestar's.

Quietkit - Now a dark brown tabby molly with brilliant blue eyes. She has made it through her sickness! Her mother has been renamed from Ashheart to Gravelheart. She is currently apprenticed to Russetfur. I have bumped her up to have been born a few moons before ITW, but she should NOT be an apprentice right now, this is much too early. Thankfully, Russetfur is good to her. Her warrior name will be Quietfeather.

Her siblings are under the cut!

Turtlekit - Now a dilute tortoiseshell molly with one green eye and one yellow eye, Turtlekit is Gravelheart's second born child, and is currently apprenticed to Blackfoot. She is also too young for this. Her warrior name will be Turtlesong.

Rubblekit - Another rare prefix, a lot of these kits gave prefixes never seen before. Now he is a small gray tabby tom with (as a reference to his wiki sprite) bright green eyes! He is illegally apprenticed to Nettlespot, who thankfully acts tough but is very gentle with him. His warrior name will be Rubblefang.

Cherrypaw - Originally Robinwing and Fuzzypelt from long ago, appearing in Spottedleaf's Honest Answer. Well Robinfuzzy is getting destroyed and SHA no longer exists, so Cherrypaw is getting moved away from that and is now bulky ginger and white molly with amber eyes, and a child of Grayflower (OC) with her littermates Dustpelt and Ravenpaw. She was made a warrior early due to fighting off a boar! Her mentor was Frostfur and her name is Cherryshine.

Chestnutkit - He was bumped down to be Frostfur's littermate as Brindleface is no longer her sister, he was mentored by Snowfur, and he is also now a skinny pale brown tabby tom with a white chest and blue eyes named Chestnutwing. He will mentor Elderpaw after Russetmoth dies.

Lavenderkit - Now a rose-cream mollynwith deep blue eyes, Lavenderkit survives her illness and is apprenticed to Volewhisper. She becomes Lavenderpool, and is mates with Blossomclaw.

Smokepaw - Nightwing's boy, the apprentice that falls. He is a HUGE part of The New Prophecy! A main character now! He will still fall, but find his way home, and he is featured in WCR!Graystripe's Adventure, found by Graystripe and Cody. His name will be Smokeheart.

Talonpaw - Now pale gray with large white feet, the attack from the kittypets nearly killed him, and he collapsed unconscious when he dragged himself back to camp. He would lay in effectively a comatose state, being given a Dying Warrior Ceremony from Blackstar. He woke up during the end of Sunset, and was shocked to hear cheers of his new name: Talonshine.

Nightwhisper - Nightwhisper would not become Darkflower's mate, but instead brought his young daughter to be nursed by Queens who could help. Kinkfur was that kit. She is, for all intents and purposes, half Bloodclan.

Pouncetail - To avoid same names, this man had been not only hit with the Gender Beam, but also a cool new name. Meet Muntjactail! Now has an itty-bitty tail, a lighter chest and belly. She is mates with Stoatrunner (1 half of Stoatfur, who is now split into 2 cats) and is the mother of Beenose!

Since Wolfstep is dead, the lean tabby tom and tortoiseshell queen with 2 kits are now Rubblefang, and his sister Turtlesong. He is giving her loving support. Wetfoot has just died, he was the father of her kits. Ivykit (Ivytail) and Whitekit (Whitewater).

Crowfrost - Dawncloud now gets together with Picklewish (OC, kinda. One of the names from the Fan Vote that Wafflepaw won. He joins Shadowclan during the Journey) and has Crowfrost. He will also be surviving AVOS! She also has them a little bit later than canon.

Spiderfoot - Crowfrost's brother, a cowardly little guy who leaves to become a kittypet. His kittypet name is Socko, and he is loved.

Swallowtail - Now a skinny gray-cream molly with darker legs and amber eyes. Born to Vixenleap and a posthumous Swancall a few weeks after the Battle for Bloodclan, Swallowtail may look like a Windclan cat, but she is a shining star in Riverclan. She even earned her name early and was trusted with an apprentice before anyone else! She has secret kits with Rainwhisker!

Wait, what?

Pebblefoot - Now a mottled pale brown tom with bright green eyes and small paws, Pebblefoot is an alright enough guy. He had a bit of a celebrity crush on Ashfoot when he was young. His mentor is no longer Mosspelt, but now Heavystep, who is no longer an early elder. He gives the next Riverclan Leader a life after his death during The Hopeless Storm.

Minnowtail - Oh, I have BIG plans for this girl, should all go well with ASC. That's far away for now, but just know that us Mouse x Minnow fans are EATING.

Tumblekit - Now a chubby little boy. I am deeply sorry for anyone who likes this little guy and wanted him to live. He was never meant to survive. I tried to think of how I could spin him, but his death is a Canon Event for Minnowtail.

Mallowtail and Grasswhisker - Grasswhisker is now a trans tom who might later realize they're actually a tolly! That isn't set in stone, but what is is this relationship! But, since he and Mallowtail cannot have kits of biologically, they get help from a sire. Who, you ask? Well that's private! (a loner) after Mallowtail gives birth, they are shocked to see that one of their kits, Beechkit, looks VERY much like Grasswhisker! The other is Rippletail. Mates of Gorsetail and Petalfur.
