Always Human Book 2 + New Webcomic!! Hi, hello, I haven't been around for quite a while (life has been... happening... a lot) but I am, finally, properly, back. And I have 🌟news🌟

Book 2, book 2!!! It's happening!!! (ETA: Just want to clarify that book 2 is season 2 of the webcomic, chapters 38 through to the epilogue). Thanks so much to Brett and Little Bee Books for bringing the full webcomic to print, and to Maria for organising everything and being wonderful. And thanks so much to everyone who preordered/bought the book, or borrowed it at the library, or talked about it with a friend. The past few years have been rough in many ways (including for book publishing) and book 2 might not have had a chance to exist without you. Thank you all so much for the support 💙 But wait... Graphicsathon 29 in 29

I’ve decided to participate in @bookthorns’ graphicsathon challenge; the idea is to read a comic book/graphic novel/webcomic every day in February. A fun way to expose myself to lots of stories and get through some of my comic tbr!

Anyways, I’m going to reblog or edit this post throughout the month to record what I’m reading for the challenge! :)

Day Zero/out of excitement:

Before the challenge began, I decided to catch up to some of my favorite webcomics! This meant reading my best friend’s most recent episode of his webcomic, Spell Me a Secret (highly recommend, on webtoon) as well as catching up on the comics I subscribe to through Patreon (though they are also on webtoon), Seven Days in Silverglen and Istrevelia. All three of these are amazing works I 10/10 recommend.

Day One: The Mighty Nein origins, Jester Lavorre

A Critical Role comic about Jester’s backstory! I borrowed it online through Libby and was surprised to find it might be my favorite artistically of the Mighty Nein comics (so far I’ve read Yasha, Caleb, and Nott). I love how gourgeous Marion is and the details of Jester’s features. A feel good comic too.

Here's a lil' fanart piece of Tess from @walkingnorth's very cute and ridiculously pretty comic about gay trees and snakes.

She ended up a lot pinker than I'd have preferred, but my suite of purples is a bit lacking, and also colours are hard.

Quite happy with how the skirt looks, though. :)

Muted - Fantasy (some urban fantasy elements) with an aspec mentor character who plays a major role in the story

Always Human - Sci-fi romance with an aspec side character. She isn't a major part of the story, but the episode that focuses on her aspec identity was so well done it made me cry
