An in depth look at the capital of Gulfeńn, Valkor! (Buckle up, this is a long one)
Tumblr media
Before I start I should probably clear something up: For inspiration for coming up with Elven culture, I looked at Slavic, Balkan, Hindu, and Middle Eastern influences. The easiest way to think about it is this (if anything that comes up in this post is offensive to any of these cultures, please let me know and I will try my best to fix it. I am only human, and I am an American at that, so I can only go by my research 😅):
Clothing, Music, Language, and Patterning = Balkan
Language, Music, and Clothing = Slavic
Food, Architecture, and Religion = Hindu
Architecture, Desert Culture, Food, Clothing, and Music = Middle Eastern
Don’t worry, I will give examples and visual aid to help convey what I mean!
____________________________________________
Valkor: The Capital
Gulfeńn is split into four different provinces, or states. These provinces have their own biomes, traditions, and leaders. Valkor is one of four, and is simply referred to “Western Gulfeńn” sometimes.
(Spellings will be changed throughout tho will be changed to fit what I have in mind for the elves)
Population- 4.1 million
Valkor is a unique city, in the nature of its height. Valkor is located in a part of the Ośtavlet desert that dips into a valley, where it can reaches 104 degrees on average in the summer. The elves would have baked to death. So they settled on a huge, naturally forming rock spire. These desert spikes provide great shade in the unforgiving heat, and were the prime spot for elves to carve out their cities. The Yvvińna Palace was carved directly into the rock, while the actual city was built around the outside.
After hundreds of years, the rock on the spire started to crumble and erode. Scientists have been researching a way to regrow the rocks. So far, more and more houses have to be partially or entirely held up by sturdy metal beams. It’s not too bad yet…
Around the base of Valkor is a wall, and behind the wall is the rest of the city.
These neighborhoods are safe from heatstroke because of the shade that both the Wall and the Palace provide. Air conditioning is also free for those who live on the base (and for those who want it. Usually it’s only the human citizens who actually turn it on. Elves are adequately adapted to deal with the heat)
For those who live “On the Sky” as they say, it can get well near freezing during the night and during the winter months. The ecosystem up near the sky is more humid. More trees and plants can be found growing up there. Sometimes it even snows. Children who live on the base usually go near the top to play on the rare occasion it does. The journey from the base to the very top takes approximately 4 hours of twisty, windy roads.
Safety rails have been installed after many instances of people falling off the sharp cliff sides.
The Valkorian Throne is the highest throne of Gulfeńn, since the city was founded by The Oj Dolo (in the books, known as The Great Erlking). The Oj Dolo was seen as a sort of god in his own right, the equivalent to the Christian prophet Jesus, or the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Like both, he was a real life figure but ascended to legend.
(Quick note on Oj Dolo: imagine my surprise when I found out that “Dolo” is not only an actual Polish name, but also Oj Dolo is a song! I swear I had no knowledge of this until a month after I chose the name. I chose Oj as the prefix because I knew it meant “Oh”)
Thus, any Czar that followed in his footsteps, and took the throne, was seen as a mortal god (kind of like Egyptian pharaohs). Most elves will refer to the Czar with the prefix “Oj” (said like “oi”), as it is seen as respectful to do so for “god mortals”. This includes the royal family, and the Dzikaję (child of the Czar).
As for the elven goddesses, I will talk more in depth about them later (I don’t wanna overwhelm anyone with info lol), but for now just know that they have two: Seińn of the Sun, and Favšta of the Moon.
BONUS: in my version of the story, The Elf King, or Oj Czar Ykoda, was of the royal bloodline and was in an arranged marriage with the daughter of the Duchess of Stęńgard, Epopyja.
Also, just to get it out of the way real fast, here Lugźer (Luger), and Tręlis (Trellis) are cousins not brothers. And I have big plans for both of them >:)c
Here are some reference images of what I think Valkorians might dress like (all taken from Pinterest):
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Don’t worry about their ears! They poke out of their head coverings with ease, and still have plenty of room to move
Last note, I was thinking that for the Oj Czar, he could wear a kokoshnik along with his mask:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Credit to Alena Abramova for these amazingly intricate dolls!)
So his silhouette is still long and flowy, but distinct and intimidating
Next up will probably be a look at our main characters, and then I’ll probably do a breakdown of the timeline <3

The Imperial Majesty and His Family
Tumblr media
This is to explain the workings of Lisa’s family position-wise/their duties in the royal family.
Currently her only living family that she is aware of is her father. His parents have already passed away, and her mother’s parents were never involved in their lives and never knew of Lisa’s existence because of this. She is unsure if they are even alive or not and doesn’t really care to know.
Lisa’s father, Igor, is the current Czar of Russia. Now, in the real world we no longer have a Czar of Russia. There is a president and prime minister, not a Czar. However in FFU it seems that, despite it (most likely) taking place around the same time it was released (so about 2000, 2001) there is still a royal family in place.
So, Igor Pacifist is the acting Czar of Russia. What does that make Lisa? Well, the Czar is, essentially, an emperor. And under the Czars (also spelled Tsar, or Tzar) they did not use the word “prince,” or “princess.” Instead, she would be what was called a tsarevna, otherwise known as a grand duchess. There are other terms for a son, and for the eldest son who would be the next heir. The daughter, even if she is the oldest, would not be the Czar’s heir. It’s one of the reasons Igor was angry to find out Lisa was a girl when she was born, because she could not be his heir, or at the very least he would be ashamed for her to be his heir.
Now, normally a Czar’s wife would be his Tsaritsa (or Tsarina), also known as an “empress.” However, Lisa’s mother, Misheela, and Igor never married. He wanted to wait to see if the baby would be an eligible heir before he brought the two into Russia and announced them. Seeing as Lisa was, in his eyes, not an eligible heir, he refused to bring them there, and instead made other plans for his daughter, plans Misheela could not refuse otherwise he would make a much worse outcome.
Misheela was actually the sole practitioner of the Kigen Arts. It is a powerful form of martial arts, although it is really more than that. When Igor heard of some of her feets, he decided he wanted an heir from her, that way his child could learn the arts from her and hopefully be quite the powerful Czar, a force to be reckoned with. Misheela only agreed because she had wanted a child, and wanted to grow the amount of practitioners of the Kigen Arts as well. She could teach her child, and have something to connect over with the child. Not to mention her child would be better off by being the child of the Czar. Like having a safety net for the child to land on if they fell.
More on that later on in its own post. Long story short, Misheela was never a Tsaritsa because of her and Igor never being married.
Some may notice the title I put for this, which will bring me to what the Czar is addressed as! He is addressed using the word “Majesty” (so ‘His Imperial Majesty” OR “His Majesty”- I will be using both in writing, both are technically correct as far as I could tell when trying to find said information.) As for Lisa, although she is not addressed with her Grand Duchess status often due to most not knowing she is the Czar’s daughter (he chose to only allow certain people to know of her existence), if she is addressed by the few who know, and in an area where they are permitted to treat her as the Grand Duchess, she is the one that gets the “Highness” treatment. So she gets the “Your Imperial Highness,” or simply “Your Highness”. She hates this though and usually asks for it to not be used. Her request is usually overridden by her father’s wishes.
As for any royal duties they have to fulfill, Igor has plenty. He is the ruler of Russia and has plenty of governmental duties he has to do within the day. He will also have foreign dealings to handle, etc. Lots of stuff for the big guy to do. On top of the fact the C2 Organization answers to him directly, typically getting information no one wants Russia to have, but they wanna have their hands on it anyways.
For Lisa, most of what she would normally be doing is handled by her father or one of his associates as he has her working within the C2 Organization as soon as she’s ready to do so. When she returned from Wonderland she did have to take on some of the work, but he still didn’t want her making too many choices for the country, as he knows how differing their views are and if nothing else he wants to save face. Hard to do if he let Lisa do as she wished. Although she wouldn’t have as much power as him anyways, she’d still be capable of implementing small things that could end up having large effects, hence why he doesn’t let her be as involved.
She counteracts this by acting uncaringly about the country as a whole when she is revealed to the nation as the Grand Duchess. It quickly earned her the nickname “The Cold Duchess,” and has resulted in many questioning her uprising and the Czar himself for his daughter’s disregard for Russia. Ultimately she winds up causing problems for her father no matter what he allows her to do or not do…
Now, without Lisa’s knowledge, he is attempting to have another child, one he wants as a proper heir. She doesn’t know of this quite yet upon her return from Wonderland when she makes sure the Hayakawas make it home safely. Ultimately he wishes to keep this as a secret from Lisa, but that can only last so long…

A Cyclone of Calamity: "Milo Murphy's Law" is An Exciting Sci-Fi Comedy
Tumblr media
Zack, Milo, and Melissa
What if someone creates a cyclone of calamity wherever they go? Milo Murphy's Law answers that question, with Milo always prepared for the unexpected and turning any disaster into an adventure!
Reprinted from The Geekiary, my History Hermann WordPress blog, and Wayback Machine. This was the twenty-sixth article I wrote for The Geekiary. This post was originally published on January 12, 2022.
Milo Murphy's Law is an animated comedic action-adventure animated series by Jeff "Swampy" Marsh and Dan Povenmire. Both also created the acclaimed musical comedy series, Phineas and Ferb, which ran for four seasons. Milo Murphy's Law is much more than a simple television series where anything that can go wrong will go wrong, i.e. murphy's law. It is Milo's world in more ways than one.
As a warning, this recommendation discusses some spoilers for Milo Murphy's Law.
Tumblr media
Milo Murphy's Law centers around three characters: Milo Murphy (voiced by "Weird Al" Yankovic), Melissa Chase (voiced by Sabrina Carpenter), and Zack Underwood (voiced by Mekai Curtis). It follows adventures of Milo and his best friends as misfortune follows him wherever they go. But, he remains upbeat, carrying a backpack which always has what he needs for any eventuality. We later meet his mom Brigette (voiced by Pamela Adlon), an architect, and his dad, Martin, who is a safety inspector.
The story is from Milo's perspective as he faces obstacles. This includes an arrogant student named Bradley (voiced by Vincent Martella) and a self-described safety czar named Elliot (voiced by Christian Slater). He gives himself the mission to stop Milo no matter what, although often he is far from successful.
The series begins as a comedy almost from the get-go with physical slapstick humor. Zack, a new kid who once was part of a boy band known as the Lumberzacks, soon becomes Milo's best friend. He joins Melissa, a long-time friend of Milo, whose father, Richard, works as a firefighter. He later learns just roll with it and be for Milo when he needs help.
This differentiates it from Phineas and Ferb, which set in the same town. In that show, Phineas and Ferb engage in a grand new project every day of the summer. Milo, on the other hand, causes calamities everywhere he goes, using a backpack his babysitter, Veronica, gave him.
Milo's dog, Diogee (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker) plays an important part in his adventures. Although Milo tells him to go home, a running gag throughout the show, he helps Milo when he or his friends are in a tight spot.
A funny plotline is continual speculation whether or not a teacher with a Romanian accent, Kyle Drako (voiced by Michael Culross) is a vampire. One of Milo's classmates, Chad Van Coff (voiced by Django Marsh) is completely convinced that Drako is a vampire, but it is never said whether Chad is right. It is up the audience to decide it for themselves. There are also funny jokes about plot holes and flashbacks throughout the show.
The show divides itself between Milo's time at Middleton Middle School, the town of Danville (above ground and underground), and the wider world. This includes adventures through time itself! This isn't immediately evident from the beginning of season 1. It becomes more of a plot point when four agents from the Bureau of Time (Vinnie Dakota, Balthazar Cavendish, Savannah, and Brick) become recurring characters in the series.
The first two, voiced by Dan and Marsh, are time travelers tasked with stopping the pistachio from becoming extinct. The latter two, voiced by Ming-Na Wen and Brett Dalton, are secret agents also from the future who travel in a time-traveling limousine. Mark Hamill plays the annoyed superior of Dakota and Cavendish, Mr. Block. Time travel plays an important part in this series, often as a subplot, so much that both agents are later banned from time travel altogether.
Other agents consider the two bumbling agents, Dakota and Cavendish, a joke. They prove themselves when they end up saving the world from mutant pistachios, known as Pistachions, with Milo's help. Of course, they don't get credit for this, as their boss doesn't remember this due to the altering of the timeline and still talks down to them.
As a person who likes time travel in fiction, and a long-time fan of Futurama, this pulled me further into the series. Dakota and Cavendish are both from "the 70s". Dakota dresses in a 1970s track suit while Cavendish dresses like a person from the 1870s. Some fans have even shipped both characters together based on their interactions during the show, as they act as best buds in the show itself.
Unfortunately, the series doesn't include any outward LGBTQ characters. Even so, Swampy said that "some characters" in Milo Murphy's Law and Phineas and Ferb are part of the LGBTQ community but he did not specify which characters. This inspired some to make fan art. Additionally, there are over 380 fics on Archive of Our Own which ship Cavendish and Dakota together as "Dakavendish."
Fans of Doctor Who would love this series. There is a whole sub-story focused around a sci-fi franchise known as Dr. Zone, based on Doctor Who. Milo and his sister Sara (voiced by Kate Micucci) are big fans. The creator of the franchise, Orton Mahlson (voiced by Jemaine Clement) is even inspired by Dakota and Cavendish. His sidekick, in the episodes is a Time Ape voiced by Sophie Winkleman.
Milo Murphy's Law has some diversity in its cast. This includes Zack, Nolan Mitchell, and Marcus Underwood, characters voiced by Black men. A Black woman also voices Eileen Underwood.
A Cuban-American actress named Chrissie Fit voices Amanda Lopez. She was originally planned to be a white character, but was changed at Disney's urging. The executives told Dan and Swampy to make the show more diverse. The show also includes actors of Malaysian, Chinese, and Jamaican descent, specifically Wen and Olivia Olson.
Amanda is perfectionist like Pearl in Steven Universe. She unexpectedly falls in love with Milo, who also likes her back. While they are never directly shown as in a romantic relationship, there are romantic feelings between the two of them. This is curious since Amanda likes order and Milo causes chaos everywhere he goes. They especially show how they feel about one another in the second season, with Amanda even getting jealous when other girls are nice to him, and giving him a kiss on the cheek in another episode.
The same is the case for Milo's dad, Martin (voiced by Diedrich Bader). He is a safety inspector but is affected by murphy's law as much as his son. It's as much an oxymoron as Homer Simpson being the safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant in The Simpsons. In the latter case, the building becomes unsafe the second he leaves the building.
Tumblr media
Milo responds to Amanda's request to dance
Milo and Amanda are the not the only ones to express romantic feelings toward each other. There is a slow-burn romance between Melissa and Zack, and Sara has a crush on Neal, who works at a comic shop. Maulik Pancholy, an actor of Indian descent, voices the latter character.
Pancholy also voices a recurring character in Phineas and Ferb, Baljeet. Both shows merge together at the beginning of season 2 after a crossover episode, where characters from each show work to defeat the Pistachions. Prof. Doofenshmirtz, Perry the Platypus (i.e. "Agent P"), Major Monogram, and Carl appear as recurring characters in Milo Murphy's Law. As a result of the crossover, Doof crashes at Milo's house until he gets kicked out for being a nuisance.
Even Vanessa Doofenshmirtz, voiced by Olivia Olson, reappears in one episode. Voicing Vanessa was Olson's first major animated role before she voiced Marceline the Vampire Queen in Adventure Time. In fact, this role was one of the reasons that Pendleton Ward, the Adventure Time creator, brought her in to voice Marceline in the first place! If there had been no Vanessa, there wouldn't have been no Marceline, at least not as we know her today.
Events in Milo Murphy's Law and Phineas and Ferb also connect them together. For instance, Melissa is afraid of rollercoasters because of scheme by Phineas and Ferb. There are many other background details and events similar to both series.
By the show's second season, Swampy and Dan voice at least seven characters together. Other characters are voiced by talented actors like Greg Cipes, Alyson Stoner, Mackenzie Phillips, Sarah Chalke, and Larine Newman.
In the last half Milo Murphy's Law's second season new villains appear: a group of aliens known as Octalians. Milo's negative probability ions interest them and they try to capture him, hoping to save their planet from destruction. Joanna Hausmann, Odessa Adlon (Pamela Adlon's daughter), Brock Powell, John Ross Bowie, Cedric Yarbrough, and many others, voice these aliens.
Like many Disney shows aimed at children, music fills the episodes of Milo Murphy's Law. There are over 60 songs in seasons 1 and 2, along with 25 songlets. This pales in comparison to Phineas and Ferb, which almost has a musical number in every single episode. Even so, its catchy opening theme gets you in the mood to watch every episode.
The music accompanies the wonderful animation and background art of the series. It's not as detailed as a series like Arcane, but it is strong enough to move the story forward. It keeps you inside of Milo's world for each 22 minute episode, usually divided into two segments. The show also doesn't try to take itself too seriously, poking at the construction of animated shows throughout its run.
Some episodes criticize Silicon Valley tycoons and brainless consumers. Others have futuristic devices and robots. There are more fundamental themes in the series, such as the importance of family, self-acceptance, and identity. Some focus on the weight of adult responsibilities, which Prof. Doofenshmirtz called "adulting," while others focus on themes such as historic preservation, environmental protection, and automation.
While the last episode of Milo Murphy's Law aired on May 18, 2019, strong viewings of the show raise the possibility of the third season. There is a strong audience demand for the series and Dan has said that the show's success might "justify a couple of specials."
In the end, if you want to watch a show that will make you laugh with its absurdity and wacky storylines, then give Milo Murphy's Law a watch on Disney+. While you are at it, you can watch Swampy and Dan's first series, Phineas and Ferb, on the same streaming platform.

YELLOW HINT I REPEAT YELLOW HINT!!!!!!! DOES MR THE NARRATOR WATCH US THROUGH SMALL ANIMALS???? Oh my gosh he's probably a corvid lover isn't he? No, actually, that feels fitting in my mind but it'd be kind of cute if he picked a chunky lil brightly colored orb of a bird, cardinals come to mind, if thats even TRUE and he even prefers birds, maybe he watches us through squirrels? wait. no. raccoons. tis but a theory tho so i guess I will just neeeeeever know also UGH....MIKEY.....mikey is going to say be gay do crime and im gonna end up on international news as a murderer (not like i'd snitch on him though, ill take the jail time for him any day of the weak) Something I find interesting though, our lovely angel is very intent on our safety, and I can only assume that perhaps that's where.....buttons maybe pushed. Would I be right in assuming Zach is the type to see yn as someone who's perhaps not 'pure' but someone innocent and kind that's too be protected? Hmmm, if that's the case then the conflict of what Zach sees yn as vs how they actually might be.....interesting interesting! Also I so desperately want to give the narrator so many rocks from outside, and also seashells, i think i'd blow his mind with petrified wood and drift wood OH, Jessica does historical fashion quite often and it seems she makes corsets 4 a living 2 sell at ren faires? (and probably just in general) so like.....what's everyone dressing up as for a ren faire. I must know. Personally? I'm a pirate that's been cursed to be part fish
"It's not how you find me, sadly. That journey is... painful, for everyone involved. I'd almost rather you didn't set me free, considering what such a feat will demand of you. Ah, but I talk too much... Apologies, my darling Y/N. And thank you, for the thought of your gifts."
... ANYWAYS!
Mikey likely won't get you charged for murder - and even if that was a concern, who's saying the local police aren't wrapped up snugly in our man-whores wallet~? Don't worry, you're not doing any jailtime, tiger.
Zach IS very worried about your safety! It might also be that they... Remember certain things they wish they didn't. Certain timelines. Unlike someone else, though, they don't have the power to do anything about it other than to ask you to be careful this time. If you wind up dead, they can't bring you back - that's out of their hands. And it kills them every time they have to see it, and remember it. It kills them every time they have to pretend they don't remember what happened, if you don't remember.
Also I am ENAMORED with the idea of a renfaire or fantasy au!! So excuse me while I dive headfirst into this lmao---
Mikey is 100% a pirate. Aside from the whole devilish charm bit and the crime, you CANNOT tell me he wouldn't wear that jaunty little tricorn hat and an open vest with those billowy pants and absolutely KILL the look. And I just KNOW he'd use the whole character as an excuse to call Y/N his "one true treasure" or something along those lines, the whore (affectionate).
Ulrich is definitely some kind of royalty, most likely a czar due to his Russian history. Also, the rich and intricate robes suit his strict and demanding personality I think - you can't make or put on something like that without knowing exactly what you're doing and knowing the exact process behind it.
Zach is likely still an angel, but in their divine garments instead of casual human clothes. I could see them maybe spicing it up with some other kind of spirit, though. Definitely lots of white silks and star sapphire jewelry set in silver, though, to match their hair and eyes and offset their dark skin.
Jessica usually attends renfaires as her seamstress persona, Madame Rouge, who runs the shop "Fateful Threads" - a pun on the mythos of the red string of fate. A true Fateful Threads corset will have it's boning channels sewn in with red silk thread, as well as it's sizing tag sewn on and embroidered with the same. She's often recognized by the silver chatelaine (Victorian toolbelt) that jangles from her hip, brass and porcelain glaze inlay decoration of a red rose, and her distinctive red curls that she'll style and powder up into a big coiffure. She also often has a brown leather apron tied over her skirts, which has no end of pin holes marking it.
Jack is the werewolf, obviously, but a very contrite one who does his best to do right, and he has pauldrons on his (otherwise bare 👀) shoulders and a sword at his back from doing his best to become a city guard :3 While he faces some stigma still from elders, the younger ladies and small children find him quite friendly and charming, and you might find him stomping around the campgrounds with a little tot perched on his shoulder, excitedly pointing at the direction they want to go.
Narrator gets stuck working the ticket booth probably because he's not allowed fun or freedom lmao---

After Wonderland
Part 2 <3
Tumblr media
“I suppose I’m a doll, now?”
“Your Highness, you know that is not the case.”
It sure felt like it. If they kept combing through her hair they wouldn’t have any hair to comb.
“Your hair is grown out… Perhaps we should-”
“You will not come near me with scissors. No one will be cutting my hair.”
Lisa was willing to keep her mouth shut about a lot of this, but she put her foot down on some things, her hair was one of them. It would remain just as long as it was, and only be cut to maintain it. That was it.
“Alright, alright, we won’t,” the woman stated, not wanting to anger Lisa.
She was one of the women who had been helping take care of her as she grew up, but the woman’s near disgust of her had grown to a slight fear alongside it. Due to Igor’s insistence on Lisa joining the C2 as soon as possible, she was quickly trained just as anyone joining the C2 Organization would be. For years. And as she progressed, the training got harder. She had excelled, felt like she had to. Her capabilities were not lost to those who worked in the palace they lived in. The only reason a majority of them had anything to do with her was due to Igor’s demands, and their fear of him outweighing their fear of Lisa. But they always whispered behind Lisa’s back, or so they thought.
But she heard it all.
Brat. Monstrous. Ungrateful.
She didn’t take advantage of these opinions often. Only when absolutely necessary. Given it was what she was trained to do, how could anyone blame her? He wanted her to be a spy, and that’s what she was.
“What is this for, anyways? He hasn’t told me anything,” Lisa spoke up, as the woman, Mila, was putting Lisa’s hair up.
It wasn’t a lie, exactly. Igor hadn’t told Lisa anything at all, only that he would ask Mila and Ania to get Lisa ready, and that she just needed to “act right.” However, Lisa decided to take her time meeting with Mila.
It was incredible the amount of information people gave up when they thought the coast was clear. One little blind spot, and it would take mere seconds for the floodgates to open.
“Won’t she be angry you didn’t tell her?”
“I don’t quite care what Lisa wants to know. She’ll be announced to the public regardless. And she will continue to do anything else I ask.”
“Are you certain?”
“She’s done so for this long. That girl might as well be attached to strings. She wouldn’t even be where she is now if it weren’t for me, and she wouldn’t know what to do with herself without my instruction,” Igor stated to the man, Dimitri, who essentially stayed at the Czar’s side constantly. Dimitri only left Igor’s side when asked adamantly, or to sleep. Any other reason was few and far between.
Mila explained to Lisa that it was merely a request from her father, “a surprise, if you will.” Lisa played clueless, sighing softly.
“Can we be done with this?”
“Be patient, young lady. No sense in being impatient. If His Majesty is willing to give you time to look presentable, you should take that chance,” Mila stated, taking the same tone she did when she scolded Lisa as a child.
Lisa could still remember the pops from a brush, or “light reprimands” to her cheeks with the back of a hand.
“This is patience, Mila.”
“Not nearly enough,” Mila muttered to Ania, another woman who often cared for Lisa when she arrived there twelve years ago.
Eventually, they had finished helping her get ready, and the two walked on either side of her, a few steps behind, as Lisa went to meet with her father.
Surely enough, she was finally, officially announced as the Grand Duchess of Russia. Igor explained to the public that he had kept her a secret for the sake of her safety, but knew he could not hide her away forever, and supposed now was as good a time as ever to announce her.
The event was exhausting, and consisted of that fake smile she had kept up for so long. He just had a way of bringing out the things she strongly disliked, didn’t he? Regardless, when it was done, they were alone, and the fake smiles could go away.
“What’s the real reason, y’know, for all of this?”
“You’re not stupid, girl, put it together for yourself.”
She stared at him, both sharing a blank, uncaring look to the other.
Finally, however, a smile crept onto her face, soon followed by a laugh, her head falling into her hand to shield her face.
“Is something amusing?”
“Otets, do you really think I could have you figured out? I mean, it’s been this long, hasn’t it?” she told him, as if laughing at the mere notion she could possibly know what he was up to. “If you don’t want me to know, you might as well say it.” Playing stupid was far too easy with Igor.
He was surprised, but took advantage of this notion. He tried to hide this, tried to hide his true motives behind a slight shift in posture, and tone.
“In that case, run along. And you will still be doing work for C2, understand?”
“Yes, Otets.”
Ah, so that’s what this was… He wanted to trap her. Give her some sense of obligation while something with C2 happened behind the scenes. He needed her for something, now.
Perhaps today hadn’t been a total disaster after all…

Yes, another easy Indiana Jones movie.
Indiana Jones, Quest for the Amber Room.
And of course, my Man Crush, Chris Pratt should play Indiana Jones.
Quick start of a story.
Dr. Eva Petrova was conducting research in the St. Petersburg National Museum, with a particular focus on the Czars of Russia. Interestingly, her grandfather had worked at the Catherine Palace of Tsarskoye Selo, where the Amber Room had been disassembled and transported by German forces in 1944. Since then, the whereabouts of the Amber Room had remained a mystery.
During her research, Dr. Petrova stumbled upon boxes filled with unlabeled paperwork and books from the Palace of Tsarskoye Selo. As she sifted through the contents, she came across manifests detailing deliveries and departures from the Palace. However, there was one particular manifest that caught her attention and left her in disbelief.
The manifest listed the final destination of the Amber Room as Severodvinsk, Arkhangel’sk, Russia, a port city situated on the northern coast. Overwhelmed with excitement, Dr. Petrova immediately contacted her father to share her astonishing discovery. However, instead of sharing in her excitement, her father's voice trembled as he urgently advised her to leave the museum and go into hiding. He assured her that he would make the necessary arrangements and find her in a few days. Just as she was about to disclose her hiding location, the phone abruptly disconnected.
Dr. Petrova soon realized that her father had intentionally hung up on her, suspecting that their conversation was being monitored. Aware of the danger she was in, he knew he needed to reach out to his old American friend, Indiana Jones, who had accompanied him on numerous adventures in the past. He was confident that with Indy's help, they could ensure his daughter's safety and reach Severodvinsk before the Russian authorities….
