Lorenzo took up skateboarding because Alfred likes it. I think what makes em start dating isn’t the skateboarding, its the fact they both religiously love Taylor Swift— but thats not until they’re in the 10th grade! Ludwig hasn’t figured out he’s trans yet, probably will in late highschool. He spends the school year with his dad Gilbert and grandpa, while in the summer he heads back to his mom’s. This is how its been since he was a baby. His parents never married, mom says it was just a dumb mistake she made when she came across Gilbert in that club. Gilbert says it was the best mistake only because he got an awesome kid out of it. He lives next door to the Vargas boys.

Vox documents the transphobia of J.K. Rowling

There can be no doubt about this: J.K. Rowling is severely transphobic.

Bigots do not want to seen as bigots, even when they are. They therefore often feign sympathy for the group they are harassing in a “I am not a racist, but...” kind of way.

I have lost count on the number of times gender critical TERFs have told me that calling J.K. Rowling transphobic is offensive both to her and to them. This is a fascinating exercise, as there are few people around that have done this much to harm and invalidate transgender women.

Vox has now done the excellent job of gathering J.K. Rowling’s most transphobic statements and acts in one easy to read article. I suggest that we all bookmark the piece and add a link to it in all threads where transphobes try to deny their own cruelty. 

(I am not recommending engaging them in a discussion, as they would love to drag you down into their dark rabbit hole of lies and half-truths. Just add a link to the Vox article, so that other readers are informed about the truth.)

J.K. Rowling’s rampant transphobia

Rowling has made her antagonistic position on trans issues clear through tweets, sound bites, actions, and even a 3,600-word blog post. 

By 2023, her transphobia has become so rampant and constant that it’s difficult to build a completely comprehensive timeline of it. For those attuned to it, she doesn’t have to spell it out every single time; it’s a huge part of her identity. 

These dog whistles only lead to more confusion, however, allowing people to point to the absence of immediately obvious bigotry to claim she’s being unfairly maligned. 

Additionally, she increasingly threatens detractors with legal action, which contributes to critics of her behavior falling silent. Conspicuously, many of her legal threats appear to be directed at individuals identifying as part of the LGBTQ+ community.

The destructive nature of the TERF community

Since Rowling began airing her views, her community, especially online where many of these conversations are had, is now stacked with similarly minded people who share her transphobic beliefs. 

For instance, Rowling is friends with numerous anti-trans activists, including Helen Joyce, who’s made alarmingly transphobic statements calling for a “reduction” in the number of trans people. 

She’s tweeted public support for anti-gay, anti-trans activist Caroline Farrow. These connections are part of a social network echo chamber of trans-exclusionary radical feminists, or TERFs (sometimes called “radfems” or the “gender-critical” movement). In Rowling’s native UK, TERFism has gained a unique stronghold over some particularly vocal, ostensibly liberal feminists like Rowling.

Diavolo: Livio Una (separate person from Doppio -- who brainwashed Doppio to think they're the same person). He's Donatella's brother and that's how he first noticed Doppio. Trish is the biological child of Donatella and Doppio, who are both trans - Doppio being Trish's natal parent and Donatella her sire. Doppio had lost his memory of having an unplanned child and of his hometown burning due to shock. Diavolo, after "befriending" and controlling Doppio and getting hold of his hospital records, only permitted Doppio to see very specific doctors, who Diavolo paid to fabricate medical records and to withhold from Doppio that he'd ever had a child. All to make up the lie that Trish is his own daughter, giving him an excuse to dissolve Passione for his own gain.)

Doppio: Born nameless, adopted as Daniella Voltolini, later changed to Domenico "Nico" Voltolini (he/him). The name "Doppio" was given to him by Diavolo as yet another way to claim ownership of him and to further the facade that they're the same person.

Fugo: Dante. He'll never give anyone his last name, and it takes a lot to get his real first name out of him.

Giorno: Dio named him Giorno Joestar, intended to be a genderless name, but Giorno's mother renamed him Haruno (meant to be a feminine name) and changed his last name to Giovanna when she got married. Giorno would later change his own last name back to Joestar.

Mista: Gabriel Micheli (the name Guido Mista started off as a joke he'd call himself, and it later caught on into a nickname)

Narancia: (they/them) Birth name Natali Ghirga, later changed to Nakajima (橘) Ghirga, intended to be genderless. Which means about the same thing (orange) but can also be pronounced as the surnames Nakajima and Tachibana. This is ultimately where the nickname Narancia came from, which is often shortened to "Nara."

Pesci: Leopoldi "Poldi" Argento

Prosciutto: Prospero Argento

Risotto: Nero Rybakov, Неро Рыбако́в. His parents were from Yekaterinburg, Russia. Before they had him, they fled to Italy to escape persecution. Nero's cousin, Bela, moved to isolation in Siberia, where Nero would later return to live with her after deservedly murdering his parents. Nero speaks Russian, Italian, and English.

Hey so I’ve been made aware that a user known as doodlin-moons / irl-Romano has been spreading rumors about me. And I would like to clearing that they are absolutely NOT true.

So I’m just gonna quickly debunk them under the cut cause this might get long:

First off Moons is acting as if this was a recent post that I made and that I am currently vaguing them. It’s a post I made from literally fucking September, which means they’ve been holding onto that screenshot for just as long. I also only made this post in response to them coming onto MY post about my dislike for spamano asking what was wrong with it, and when I called them out for knowing damn well why it was wrong (cause they used excuses for why they shipped it after I politely explained) and blocked me for it (which started this whole fucking thing they’ve been holding this grudge since September) . So in reality they’re getting mad at MY response for something they antagonizing me over.

Second: Moons is trying to spread the lie that I’m transphobic even to go as far as lie about who this anon is. I would also like to clearing that I do not support anon or their belief and that I do find transphobia to be vile and I speak up about it when I see it.

Also anyone who’s ever blocked an anon knows that tumblr just gives you an error sometimes when you do that. I would also like to note that if that person WAS me I would not have been able to even take this screenshot.

I would also like to clarify that I have not and will not harass people online. I don’t understand why it’s so hard for people to understand that me complaining and expressing my discomfort with a user on my own blog, untagged mind you, isn’t harassment. oh this was an EXCELLENT article. summarizing discussions and takeaways from a 10-person large 200-level undergraduate discussion course at UIUC about transgender issues in fan fiction!

some fascinating fan meta about Loki i had no idea about:

I started the trans studies unit with the discussion of the recent TV series Loki (2021–), set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), instead of starting with fan fiction texts. There are several reasons that I chose Loki instead of other fandoms that represent trans people. First, Loki is depicted in canon as gender fluid, making his genderqueer identity valid to the fandom. One teaser of the series shows Loki's case file, and under the category of sex, the file notes Loki is fluid instead of male or female (Romano 2021)

Beckwith argues that even with the shapeshifting abilities, Loki in the MCU is not a gender-fluid character because "up till this point, Loki has never shapeshifted to express himself. He has shapeshifted to disguise himself, which is the exact opposite of self-expression." … [on the other hand, there was another argument made that] Loki's shapeshifting is an expression of "doing" mischief, which is a part of his identity, as he is titled the God of Mischief.

the question arises: do related fan fictions do a better job in using Loki as an icon for gender fluidity? … I asked students to read three fan fiction stories on AO3 centered around or related to trans representation [including busaikko's cross-dressing dudley fic (1.3k, G)].

lots of engagement by the students including reading the comments, lots of positive sentiments towards fanfiction, but some good caveats:

quite a few students were cautious about the general supernatural settings of fan fiction, which indicates their poignant perception of the differences between trans representation in fiction and real life and their effects. [Students also noted] that the supernatural element in fan fiction might also indicate a sense of escapism in its representation of queer and trans people. For example, one student pointed out that "supernaturalness is currently being used as an 'easy out' for representation. If the only people that are represented as queer are supernatural, that still makes it seem as if being queer is not 'normal.'" Another student also argued, "Fan fictions use supernaturalness and fantasy to perpetuate false or inaccurate queer representations.

i loved this especially!

one student chose to explore trans studies in Harry Potter fan fiction though she was not familiar with trans theories before this course. In a very well-written final essay, the student examined how the destabilization of the boundaries between common binaries, such as human versus nonhuman, male versus female, and magical versus nonmagical, in the original Harry Potter fandom inspired nonbinary gender interpretation of fan fiction through a transgender lens.

one student argued, "ABO [Omegaverse] is strange to me because it covers the whole spectrum from 'porn with no plot' to 'extensive metaphor undoing gender roles.'

students were also very perceptive in discovering the hidden heteronormativity and heteropatriarchy behind the nonbinary gender settings, with one student saying, "ABO fan fictions tend to perpetuate heteronormativity by portraying all relationships (even queer relationships) as the stereotype of one 'masculine' and dominant person, and one 'feminine' and submissive person. This stereotype is harmful especially to the queer community because it forces the ideas of cisgender and straight relationships onto queer ones."

students also centered the topic of male Omegas and discussed why this group is even more sexualized and degraded than female Omegas in the Omegaverse and the implications behind this phenomenon. Students appropriated the male-gaze concept in feminist studies and argued that this phenomenon can be interpreted as the result of the cis gaze, as male Omegas are othered and viewed as the fetishized subjects of cis females' sexual imagination

I sent this into a discord server and decided the world needs to see my thoughts about these two because I love them

Okay so as far as nationverse goes, they met in the late 19th century shortly before Romano was set to work for America. In my personal headcanons, he knew he would have to go to America eventually but wanted to put it off for as long as possible. This led to him hopping around Latin America for a few years. But his time with Cuba ended up sticking out to him the most.

His arrival was during a very rough period for Cuba though so the two of them were meeting in extremely vulnerable states. Romano coming from a lot of tension, rejection, and failure in Europe and Elian actively getting his independence from Spain. 

Despite the fact that he did come from a low spot, he still had an attitude that made him come off extremely entitled when they met and Cuba was *not* having it. The first part of their relationship with each other was really rough because Lorenzo was trying to prove he wasn't like the rest of Europe and Elian being extremely skeptical.

They do end up bonding though and theres a lot that they see in each other that really builds their relationship. One of the biggest things being how they view masculinity in themselves and each other. I headcanon Romano to be trans and to have struggled a lot in the 18th and 19th centuries when it came to his masculinity and how he defined it. And as for Elian, he struggles a lot with having a healthy relationship with masculinity due to the strict gender roles and expectations the Spanish brought with them that stuck around. Neither of them viewed themselves as where they wanted to be when it came to their masculinity.

The funny thing is though, they admired the others masculinity as it was. Elian thought it admirable for Lorenzo to be in touch with a more emotional and sensitive side of himself and being willing to be open to habits that a lot of people would have deemed feminine at the time. He saw someone who knew who he was and wasn't restricted by rigid definitions of gender and he wanted that for himself.

As for Lorenzo, he saw strength in Elian like no other. He saw someone that was proud and kept himself together and represented the type of man that his people needed to represent them. He looked at Elian and saw the ideal masculine in him. To him, Cuba was someone that couldn't be robbed of his masculinity because he seemed so sure of himself and his identity.

This ends up being one of the biggest things that starts their bond. Them seeing more in each other than they saw in themselves. Having someone see more to them than what they feared the most. And it really created that environment for them to bond over other things and open up to each other about more things that they typically kept under wraps

The way that he had to wear dresses as a child and feeling inadequate from a young age because he's unable to fulfill a role that is expected of him. Then eventually transitioning and having a complex towards Feliciano because he's constantly reminded of all the ways in which Feliciano can effortlessly navigate the world as a cis man meanwhile Romano has to deal with all the struggles of being trans. His crippling dysphoria has destroyed his self esteem and makes him resent Feliciano for being everything he's not.

Headcanons I got from your mom

-Willow is an ASMR artist. Her work usually consists of writing or doodling with pencil and paper or reading stories, usually creepy ones or sometimes bedtime stories. She’s not comfortable with telling her own stories yet however

-After Bonnie and Yolanda escaped they started plotting something with Radley to not only tear down Papa Louie, but also Quinn because she was the one who put the 2 in jail

-Sue’s favorite color is pink, and she’s quite girly in a few ways, however, is a bit embarrassed about it.

-Shannon and Simone has hypersensitive hearing which can be good for some cases (Shannon’s investigations and Simone for sound-checking) but being around Duke (a naturally loud person) is sometimes rather unbearable

-Duke is loud in every way possible, especially sneezing. He has a VERY distinct dad sneeze and Shannon absolutely HATES it. Like if anyone ever mentions getting flowers as a gift for him, Shannon will look them dead in the eye like “...no.”

-Daniela loves kids and taking care of them. Back then she even helped Skip take care of Mary and James sometimes if he had a tight schedule or if his hands were full.

-In present day, Daniela is Skip’s fiancé, and they are awaiting the day they get married.

-If Sue is at Fluffmart and she thinks that her coworkers are eavesdropping on her while she's on a phone call, she will start talking about really bizarre things and saying things that sound super wrong out of context. There are still a few coworkers who think that Sue is a murderer

-If you count everyone who were in the credits of the Mocharia Life production, there’s 43 people (the crew, real people, Romanos, and everyone else) listed, however, originally there were 50 people who worked on the movie in some way. One of them quit, two of them resigned, and, surprisingly, four of them got fired

-It’s revealed later in a podcast interviewing Papa Louie and Petrona how the seven workers weren’t part of the production anymore. Most of them either didn’t do their job, were extremely rude (especially to upper management), talked back when criticized, and did a lot of other crude things that although didn’t exactly get them fired, they were build-ups to the last straw (Also Petrona took the wheel a lot of times just to rant about how absolutely terrible these people were).

-Although no identities were revealed directly, it is hinted that NuMarcus and Gabitha (the rival chefs in Cluckeria) could’ve been the 2 people who resigned. Though they weren’t rude or lazy, they apparently didn’t like their jobs.

-It’s not known exactly how many, but at least a good half or so of the workers for the Mocharia movie were LGBTQ in some sort of way. Most notably are Sue and Mary (obviously, Sue being lesbian and Mary being bisexual), but a few others were Emmelette and Cameo (trans, Cameo possibly gender fluid), Didar (gay), Duke, (pansexual), Quinn (asexual), Timm (biromantic demisexual), Wendy (aroace), Skyler (lesbian), Brody (bisexual), and a bunch of others we don’t know about

-Treble plays the violin and their work consisted of playing in orchestras for theatres and musicals

-Chase’s snake is named Chili

-Yuko is afraid of snakes and usually stays away from Chase because of this, but she’s comfortable as long as he doesn’t have his slithery friend around, though they aren’t exactly the most well aquatinted

-Chase and Budwin are best friends. Chase is totally the person who usually drags Budwin out, which is funny cause Chase likes to get up bright and early while Budwin prefers to sleep in

-Yuko likes to host “tea parties” for servants and guests, though she doesn’t get a lot of guests so it’s more of her servants (only if she feels really lonely)

-It’s said that a woman mysteriously died in Roastwell Manor. The last time she was seen was messing around with the elevator. It’s said that she could’ve been play “the elevator game” before her death. (I’m pretty sure at least someone will see the very obvious reference here)

-There is currently an hour-long documentary in the making called “Mocharia uncovered”, which in a way it’s a “behind the scenes” documentary where they interview the workers and such, but it was also made due to controversies around the documentary (fired workers, Papa Louie’s hiring practices, unknown drama, etc.)

-Transsexual bisexual man who realized he was trans like a month before the events of the first game. Also on the Aroace spectrum. More specifically aroflux Cupiosexual but he just says Aroace because he doesn’t feel like explaining things

-autistic 100%

-he’s also schizophrenic, and has BPD, OCD, ADHD, and DPDR

-he has a lot of weird food habits, like he will eat food off the floor and not care even little bit. If you drop your chips he WILL eat them. He will make the most cursed food combinations, such as: peanut butter and onion sandwiches, waffle mozzarella sandwiches, eating raw salt straight from the shaker, putting Nutella on pasta, etc. This man should NOT be in charge of a burger restaurant, that was Papa Louie’s first mistake

-VERY touchy. VERY clingy. He grabs onto everyone, hugs everyone, this man touches everything.

-stoner. Don’t think I need to elaborate anymore.

-Owns like 30 pairs of patch pants.

-Feels the need to forcibly insert himself into literally everything because he likes attention, and HATES being ignored

-has witnessed Horrors as a child but remembers None Of It

-Speaking of horrors, his parents do not have a stable relationship, but can’t divorce due to religious reasons. Marty, however, remembers None Of This and Clover has to constantly remind him why they don’t visit them on Thanksgiving.

-this man lost all ability to feel shame and embarrassment years ago. He is unabashedly loud. He sings terribly. He makes terrible art. He does whatever he wants. He does not give any sort of damn.

-on the flipside (get it), Rita is way more conservative, coming from a super religious family. And then her coworker is a Complete And Utter Freak. Oh yeah baby it’s alllllll coming together.

-He used to bite people as a kid. A lot.

-He stims by rocking on his heels, quoting YTPs, and pacing

-He has the entirety of Eggman’s Announcement memorized by heart and can recite it word for word on cue.

-He was best friends with Carlo Romano in 4th grade, who taught him how to play guitar. However, Marty was way more clingy and attached to Carlo Romano than Carlo was to Marty, and they drifted apart. Years later, they reunited, and Marty is absolutely CONVINCED that they are still best friends, whilst Carlo Romano wants absolutely nothing to do with him, and finds him annoying. Drama!

-he may have severe abandonment issues but boy can he SHRED on that guitar

-Literally a month before the events of the first game he was smoking weed with Mitch, and Mitch was like “Bro isn’t it so crazy that you can just. Change your gender if you want too” and Marty’s like “Wait you can what” and then proceeded to have a Gender Crisis

-he’s very forgiving usually, even if the person isn’t sorry. This is partially due to his horrible memory, and he mostly just forgets what they do after a day. There are some exceptions however….

-throws bricks at cop cars for a hobby

-chews on EVERYTHING. Shirts, water bottles, himself, you name it, he’s probably chewed on it

-has a dog named Rat and a rat named Dog

-Only reason he’s in Scarlett and The Shakers is because Clover joined, and like I said he feels the need to forcibly insert himself into everything

-Uses tumblr, his URL is “Supermegacockguy”

-has cried over sugar gliders before

-He listens to folk punk, punk rock, basically every genre of punk music besides punk pop. His playlists are basically entirely that, except his main one also has “There’s a Zombie On Your Lawn” from the hit videogame Plants Vs Zombies

Conclusion: this man is a complete freak

I think he’s an alcoholic.

I think he wants (wanted?) to be a good father but didn’t/doesn’t really know how to go about being one. I think he is also terrified of rejection so he punches first before there’s even an argument to start a fight to begin with.

I also feel like the fandom tends to depict him in very flat ways he’s either way too much of a tsundere and fetishized or hes being a stiff stick up the ass teachers pet type of dude and a grumpy old man or just some asshole / punk. In reality I think he can actually be a fun loving dude! Like yeah he might try to be strict and follow the rules but more so to his own rules rather than others and the governments. Let him have his moments of being cheery! He’s sarcastic and quick witted! He’s playful! He’s a tease! He has a glint in his eye that you can never tell if it’s there because he loves you or because he thinks you’re a fun toy to play with! He wants to be free from the shackles of his government and wants to be rid of the weight of expectations. No longer does he want to be Atlas.
