COVID hit in 2019, the year of the Internet's 50th anniversary. It was almost as if we had built the Internet for COVID. Zoom was there and soon everyone was using it. Now many of us have had a taste of remote work and remote education. We are experimenting with the economies of massive substitution of communication for transportation. This will play out over the next decade. And the impacts will be massive and beneficial. Therefore, I like to say that COVID is short for collaborative video.

I never understood why people hate on Amber and Richie's motive when it's far from the worst in the franchise, in my opinion. So here's a little rant of my opinions on all Ghostface motives. Billy Loomis: his motive literally makes no sense to me but because he's one of the original Ghostfaces, everyone puts him on a pedestal. He kills Maureen because she's sleeping with his father, Hank, causing his mother, Nancy, to leave them. Makes sense, he could have stopped there. Instead he targets Sidney for literally nothing. Just simply because she's the daughter of the woman who broke up his family. It would have made more sense to go after Sidney while Maureen was still alive to make her suffer before killing her. Therefore, making his motive one of the dumbest in the franchise for me.
Tumblr media
Stu Macher: his motive is simple yet affective; he has none, or at least as far as we know. Most real life murderers probably don't have much of a motive either so while it's realistic it's not exactly the most creative motive but really, how creative can you really get? There's only so many reasons to want to kill someone especially when the main target is the same unproblematic person just trying to live her life in peace.
Tumblr media
Mickey Altieri: I love Mickey but he has one of the dumbest motives in the franchise and no one says shit. He literally just wants to get caught and blame the movies. Nancy did the right thing shooting him.
Tumblr media
Nancy Loomis: one of the better motives, as Nancy herself says, good old fashion revenge. It's the first time in the franchise that the motive is revenge (no, I don't count Billy's motive as revenge. Maybe when it came to Maureen but not Sidney) so it's a fresh motive in these movies.
Tumblr media
Roman Bridger: another motive I particularly like. I think of his motive less revenge and more resentment. No motive is good enough to kill but his is one of the ones where you could understand how someone who's mentally unstable could snap. Being abandoned by your mother just for her to have another child she loves and cares for and then turns you away once you try to reunite with her? I'd be upset too. I mean...not enough to kill but you get my point.
Tumblr media
Charlie Walker: another dumb motive that no one talks about. As a matter of fact, does he even have one? We know he's a "Stab" fanatic and a simp for Jill so what I get from this is he was easy to persuade because he was already a fan of the movies and a horny teenage boy. I don't think he could've given a fuck less if he got famous from it.
Tumblr media
Jill Roberts: her motive is one of the best and aged like fine wine. In the world we live in today, some people would quite literally kill to be famous. I know some people have complaints about it but it's really not that farfetched, people are mad crazy these days and kill for the stupidest reasons.
Tumblr media
Amber Freeman: like Charlie, I don't know if we really get a motive for Amber. Richie seems so much more passionate about the "Stab" movies and their killing spree becoming a movie then she does (he literally doesn't shut up about it and barely lets Amber give her motive or intentions.) What I got from watching the movie was that Amber was a fan of horror movies in general (she very clearly likes "Psycho," "Halloween" and "Friday The 13th") but she claims she's been obsessed ever since her parents bought Stu Macher's house, where the first murder spree took place, implying she didn't care as much before moving in. She also says her and Richie had similar ideas, not the same. I think her motive was more like Stu's and was to just kill for the fun of it. If her and Richie's motives were in fact the same, it's still a decent motive and original compared to the Ghostfaces before. If her motive was similar to Stu's, it's still a decent motive just unoriginal.
Tumblr media
Richie Kirsch: his motive is a lot more crystal clear than Amber's. As I already mentioned above, he doesn't shut up about it. He hated the recent "Stab" movie and thought creating a new killing spree would provide new source material to make a better movie than the last. Considering how upset people in the "Scream" fandom got about this movie (and how other fandoms get with their respective franchises) just proves that his motive isn't that dumb. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if something like this happened in real life, especially when you take into consideration that these movies inspired real life murders already.
Tumblr media
Jason Carvey: his motive wasn't great but it wasn't terrible. He was just another fanatic (which is repetitive of the last movie) wanting to continue "Richie's film" (fuck Amber, I guess...I hate how this movie down played her when she carried Richie) but since he was an opening kill, his motive probably wasn't meant to be all that great. Had he gotten further with his plan though, I wouldn't have hated it. PS: if you were expecting a Greg Bruckner paragraph, sorry but his bitch ass was killed before the plan was meant to be put into motion so therefore, he wasn't officially a Ghostface in my eyes. His motive would have been the same as Jason's anyway, as far as we know.
Tumblr media
Wayne Bailey, Ethan Landry and Quinn Bailey: I'm going to include them all in one paragraph since their motives are all the same: good old fashion revenge. As Richie's father, brother and sister their only goal was to seek revenge on anyone who was involved in Richie's death. Nothing suggests that any of them had any additional motives. The motive itself is fine, I literally mentioned it was one of the better ones in my Nancy paragraph. The only problem I have with it is now it's become repetitive and unoriginal. It's basically just a knockoff of "Scream 2" with an extra killer. From my point of view, it's the only movie that straight up reuses a motive. To summarize: pansy ass mama's boy who's sad she abandoned him, psycho who was peer pressured, psycho who wants to get caught and taken to trial, mother seeking revenge, son who was abandoned by his mother and has resentment against his sister, simp horror fan, psycho who wants fame, horror fans who want a better installment in their favorite franchise, horror fans who want to continue the last Ghostfaces plans for a better installment in their favorite franchise and a family seeking revenge; notice how only one of these are almost exactly the same to another. (I guess Billy and Roman's could be categized as similar, being abandoned by their mothers, but they're different enough for me and Roman's motive was better and made more sense. Amber and Richie have the same or at least similar motive but because their partners in the same movie I'll allow it. Jason and Gregg's motive was meant to continue what Amber and Richie sought out to do but they were opening kills so their motive was kind of a throwaway and irrelevant anyway.)

Arms Wide Open, Catch Me If I Fall Masterlist:
Tumblr media
Robert ‘Bob’ Floyd x Amanda ‘Birdie’ Hallett
Warnings: angst & fluff
Before the urgent mission and being sent back to Top Gun, Bob had a girlfriend. The key word being ‘had.’ When he initially received the orders back, he thought of two outcomes; one he’d get orders afterwards to go to another base & 2 he’d die during. He couldn’t put that on her, his Bird. So, before the long distance relationship could happen, he ended it. He didn’t want her to have to morn him if he did die while flying this mission, so he decided to break her heart. He didn’t tell her why, she understood the risks of his job, she too was a pilot. But, after the mission was successful, he turned from his happy go lucky self the others began to love, to a gloomy, depressed state. The other aviators pressed him for weeks before he finally gave in and told them about his ‘Birdie’ and how he made a mistake. Hearing a little bit of Bob’s story, they started to do anything and everything to try and get orders for this ‘Birdie’ to San Diego. Will their meddling help mend these lovebirds?

Top Gun: Maverick - original character insert
725 | "Don't you dare do anything stupid, Stinger."
Clearly whoever was shouting into the radio didn't know her very well. She'd spent years buzzing control towers, stealing jets for joyrides, and making the higher ups so miserable they almost missed Maverick.
Wouldn't dream of it. She thought. Doing, though? Now that was another story.
===
Genre: Canon Divergence, Angst, Coming of Age
CW: canon-typical violence, mentions of possible character death
Author’s note:   This is my first fic for Top Gun/Top Gun: Maverick. I apologize for any and all inconsistencies, there are going to be quite a few. I know nothing of the military, and I suck at creating believable timelines that follow the movies to a precise science, so this is very much a canon divergence. || It’s also cross-posted on Ao3 with a lot more information, so please show it some love there as well <3

It wasn’t supposed to happen this way.
It really wasn’t.
Mav had been clear. More clear than she had ever known him to be. If you did not meet the parameters, you did not come home. And she knew better than anyone, save Bradley, that Pete “Maverick” Mitchell did not just spend the past few weeks teaching them to push their limits out of the kindness of his heart. He did it to get everyone home.
And it was starting to look like that would be more wishful thinking than anything. Masters and the rest of those on the mission, her closest friends, knew there would be SAMs waiting for them after Coffin Corner. The sheer amount still managed to shock her. Screaming chaos reminded her of active-duty years ago. She was the only one to make it back that time. Who is making it back this time? She thought to herself.
“I can’t shake ‘em!” Rooster screamed into the radio. He never used to scream. When the two of them were growing up, she would push his lawful good mentality to the limits, and he only ever raised his voice once - and that was the day he stopped being her friend and became an enigma. Some weird variation of not being friends but wishing we were.
Am I cursed? Bee craned her head in all directions. Smoke in the air. All over the place and she was running out of flares and countermeasures to protect everyone with. Growing up Bradley had never been one to put himself in life-or-death situations. He’d only ever been the kind to pull her out of them, and yet here she was with his screams, “I can’t shake ‘em,” filling the cabin of her Boeing F/A 18E/18F Super Hornet. Stinger in a Hornet sent to take out a nasty hive. It had felt ironic a few hours ago.
Mav had chosen her as team leader. She got to choose who flew with her. It should have been Hangman out here. Someone who would have been fast enough, capable enough. Someone who would understand that this SAM headed for him was going to take him down and headquarters would tell the rest of them to fly back to that damn aircraft carrier. He would have had a smart-ass comment. “Don’t worry, everyone,” Masters could practically hear him croon with the slightest hitch in his voice. The voice of a man whose fate had already been signed. "Someone has to play the hero. It might as well be me.”
But it wasn’t. It was Rooster up here freaking out. It was Mav waiting for him back on the carrier. That missile would be sending two people to the grave, and you couldn’t have that on your conscience.
Fanboy glanced out his canopy at Bee. In the pandemonium - the screaming and spinning and smoke - he caught her eye and read her mind. Payback banked right to avoid a SAM. Fanboy’s gaze wasn’t there, but Masters could still feel the weight of his stare. He knew her well enough. They’d stolen kisses in between briefings and talked on the phone for hours at a time when they were stationed thousands of miles apart. He knew her well enough to know that Rooster’s screams did something to her. Activated this tiny part in her brain where abandonment turned her blood to ice.
“Don’t do anything stupid, Stinger!” But she couldn’t hear him over the sound of everyone screaming. “Don’t you dare!”
Maybe if she had locked onto Fanboy’s voice instead of Rooster’s “Holy fuck, guys!” she wouldn’t have made the split decision to do a cobra maneuver over Rooster and deploy her flares. Then there would be no need to scream Mickey’s name to beg for forgiveness of a higher power she wasn’t sure she even believed in.
Outside her F-18 everything went silent. The aftermath of a mission gone awry. Purgatory. A limbo holding her jet by the strings of fate. In an instant, all that changes. Those strings snapped. There’s nothing Bee can do but plummet down beneath everyone’s line of sight. She can listen to alarms blaring as she struggles to grab onto her eject lines, and she can hear Fanboy’s panicked shrieks.
“Stinger! Stinger! Masters, oh fuck no. Please, Bee!”
It wasn’t supposed to happen this way.

Whumptober 2022.
Not that i'm ever going to write all of this but eh, one never knows, maybe someone wants some prompts or inspiration will finally struck me once and for all lol
This wasn't supposed to happen: Yale/Harvard, pre-Mission, mechanical faliur, adrife in the sea;
Confrontation: Rooster comes around to talk with Slider about all the photos he found on his mom's bedside table. He just wants to know, things escaldes a litte (past slooserole);
Gun to temple: Mav and Merlin are just coming home after deployment. They end up in the middle of a robbery (Icemav and Merlin/his wife);
Can't pass out: long day at paper work, first diagnosis of cancer, Ice doesn't know his limits, Ron tries to help (Ron is the bestest of best friends);
Blood loss: Mav gets shot during the mission. They realised it when it was almost too late (Maverick);
I've got pulse: Jester has a heart attack (Jester and Viper);
Shaking hands: after the mission, Bob's hands start shaking without a reason (PTSD; Bob & Pheonix);
Beak from the dead: Goose wakes up three and a half hours after they have declared him dead (Goose centric; carolegoose);
Tossin' and turning: sometimes Fritz can't sleep, and Harvard knows how cuddling helps him to calm down (platonic Fritz/Harvard/Yale);
Waterboarding: they can't eject and the jet starts to fill with water (Hollywolf, during the Layton sequence);
Self-done first aid: Omaha bangs his head, by accident, against something and tries to patch it all by himself. Halo discovers him trying to stitch himself (Omaha & Halo);
Mayday! Mayday! : the story of why Phoenix and Halo no longer fly together (Halix);
Fracture: Carole breaks her arm, Goose and Slider take care of her (Slooserole);
I'll be right there with you: they were supposed to be on a simple reconnaissance mission, but they were shot down and are now fleeing for their lives (Hollywolf);
New scars: he stopped counting them when he was ten, but the new ones make him want to check it all over again (Ice centric: 5+1);
No one's coming: they get lost during a training exercise and it takes the others 72 hours to find them. For the longest time, they both believed this was how it would end (Sunchip);
Stress position: being hanged by his hands wasn't in Cyclone's plan for the morning (Cyclone centric);
Take my coat: He's sitting down in the car they sent to pick him up when the realisation of what happened hits him, and he's so fucking cold. Hondo offers him his coat (post-Darkstar crushing, platonic mavhondo);
Head lolling: everything quickly turns from a dream to a nightmare (Warlock/Cyclone, flying together, '90s setting);
Fetal position: Jake doesn't want to go back, but his dad's funeral forces him to do so. Back to Fallon Javy holds him until he's back in himself (catatonic state + dealing with emotions. marcheresin, can be read as romantic or platonic);
Allergic reaction: seafood is great, until Bob doesn't stop breathing (Bob & Phoenix);
Caughing out blood: he can wash that shirt all over again and again, but he won't ever be clean again from Ice's blood. Bradley doesn't know what to do (Icemav + Bradley; pre-first diagnosis);
Forced to kneel: medioeval au! King Caine forces Maverick to kneel in front of everyone as part of his punishment (Mav is the head of the rebellion);
Blood covered hands: Bradley is barely breathing between his arms and his hands are covered in his blood. Jake prays all the way to the hospital that won't be the last time he will hold Bradley (hangstar; can be read as platonic or romantic);
Lost voice: Life takes his voice away too. (Ice centric);
Separeted: there's a storm in the middle of the ocean, and it's fast and brutal. Trying to go up and up makes them lose where the other is. (panick attack; flying together; halix, bob & omaha friendship);
Stumbling: alcohol helps, but Ron can't stop asking himself why he's still there. Tom doesn't have answers but he tries anyway (Slider & Ice, post Carole's funeral);
Anger born of worry: Amelia isn't answering her phone. Her moms are worried and then angry when she comes back smiling and laughing like nothing happend (pennycharlie+amelia);
Better me than you: Mav dies instead of Goose, but it takes time and Mav has time to say sorry (hop 31 if it went down differently);
Please don't touch me: Bill likes to have it all, Tom learns he's the other one (Cougar/Ice; cheating; pre-top gun);
You can rest now: in Ice's den, after the mission, everyone's alive and breathing, but letting go isn't really an option (daggers + icemav).

Movies movies movies:
THE WITCH WHO CAME FROM THE SEA (1976): Disquieting, bloody psychological drama, directed by Matt Cimber (later the founder of G.L.O.W., and the basis for the "Sam Sylvia" character played by Marc Maron on the 2017–2019 G.L.O.W. TV series), about a disturbed young woman named Molly (Millie Perkins, wife of screenwriter Robert Thorn), whose horrifying history of childhood abuse causes her to sublimate sexual attraction into dissociative homicidal fits, when she isn't doting on her two young nephews or drinking herself into a haze. Vibes like an exploitation movie, but too arty and surreal to really qualify as one, and it doesn't ever feel quite like a horror movie despite the lurid subject matter; probably the closest comparison is Abel Ferrara's MS.45, with which it would make an apt double bill. Demands strong CWs for CSA and suicide, both of which are pretty rough, but it definitely makes an impression, perhaps most strikingly in the later scenes where Molly's seedy boss (Lonny Chapman) and bitchy coworker (Peggy Feury) begin to grasp how unhinged Molly has really become, leading to a disturbing finale. Too unsettling to easily recommend, hard to forget.
ALICE GOODBODY (1974): Lightweight, smutty exploitation movie, written, produced, and directed by Tom Scheuer, starring Sharon Kelly as a starstruck Hollywood waitress who loves old movies and movie stars (most of whom the people she meets in the industry have barely even heard of) and who is determined to get a small part in a new musical about Julius Caesar, even though it means sleeping with almost everyone in town. A kind of cheerful low-stakes sex comedy they don't make anymore: The situation is obviously sleazy, but not in any way that ever puts Alice in any particular jeopardy (she's in far more danger on set, where she keeps suffering different workplace accidents). The movie's central running joke is that the men whose favor she's supposed to be cultivating are at least as fixated on their own weird obsessions and neuroses as on sex, something Alice just has to sort of work around as best she can, which ends up making her sympathetic and even relatable. More likable than you'd think.
SPICE WORLD (1997): Delightfully dopey Girl Power homage to Richard Lester's A HARD DAY'S NIGHT, starring the Spice Girls, Richard E. Grant at his Richard E. Grantiest, and a cast of thousands. (Just picking out all the cameos and guest stars is half the fun.) This is what I think the Greta Gerwig BARBIE movie was going for: obviously a commercial product, and making no apologies for its mercantile ambitions, but self-aware enough and full of enough sly piss-taking to be thoroughly enjoyable even if you aren't in (or never had) a Spice Girls phase. Goes on a bit too long, but Grant's outfits alone are worth sticking it out for, and the bridge-jumping climax is very funny.
KALIFORNIA (1993): Mordant thriller starring a disconcertingly young-looking David Duchovny as Brian Kessler, a young writer who blows his advance for a new book about serial killers on an old convertible for him and his horny art photographer girlfriend Carrie Laughlin (Michelle Forbes, with disconcerting bangs) to drive across the country, photographing famous murder sites. Along the way, they pick up a couple of hitchhiking hicks, Early Grayce (Brad Pitt) and Adele Comers (Juliette Lewis), to help pay for gas, not realizing that Early is a paroled convict who's just murdered someone and has no qualms about dropping more bodies along the way. Tim Metcalfe's script (with obligatory '90s voiceover narration) scores some points early on in its depiction of Brian and Carrie's obvious classism and brittle middle-class hipster intellectualism, but the story ends up validating their prejudices rather than questioning them, which keeps the film from being entirely satisfying despite its effectiveness as a thriller. The cast is very good, with Pitt and Forbes the real standouts — Pitt plays Early as a man who draws no line between aw-shucks Southern congeniality and murderous rage, while Forbes makes Carrie's mix of ambition, appetite, and roiling intensity so vivid that you come away wondering what she's doing with Brian, who Duchovny plays as a somewhat gormless jackass. As for Lewis, suffice to say this would make an interesting double bill with NATURAL BORN KILLERS, released about a year later, where she plays a variation on the same damaged theme.

Lucky Penny - Chapter Twenty-Seven
A/N: we are almost done with Germy 😏 for now
Besties for the resties: @dragon-kazansky @gracespicybradshaw @mrsjaderogers @callmemana @ladylanera @kloofspeaks @callsignthirsty @cycbaby @likelyrowdy @roosterscockpit @notyoursbutlewis @starlit-epiphany @askmarinaandothers
The men of Hermes' squadron lied through their teeth on the mission debrief and they interrupted her at every chance. If looks could kill? They'd all be as dead as they wished she was.
The fire in her eyes was running wild, and they had no idea how burned they were about to get.
Their Admiral announced that their squadron was being invited back to Top Gun per one Admiral Tom "Iceman" Kazansky. That made Lucky smirk, they all celebrated but they had no idea.
When they boarded the plane, Lucky sat alone. Her notebook full of their mistreatments tucked safely in her bag. She was scrolling through pictures on her phone when she comes across one of all of their Chaos Family at their wedding. She knew that everyone in this picture would have her back in California, and she felt safe.
-----
Ice was pacing back and forth. Their plane was landing soon and he couldn't decide whether he was going to hug his girl or punch Hermes first.
Dragon already knew what she was doing, she was holding her girl, Mickey could kiss bricks if he thinks he's getting the first hug.
Cin was also freaking out, Jake had told her that Lucky was almost home and though she knew her friend would never blame her for sending her on this mission. She didn't want Lucky to think she did it on purpose. All she needed was to see her friends smile as she was reunited with them all.
Jake had gathered Bradley, Javy, Rueben, Phoenix and Bob in the rec room as they awaited the plane. He finally told them what he'd done for Lucky and about the report she'd filed aganist Hermes the first time they'd been at Top Gun. Bradley obviously was the most mad about it, but the others were just as angry. They would all stand behind her during the meeting.
Mickey was more than excited, he was finally going to have his wife in his arms once more. He knew he probably wouldn't get the first hug, but once he did? He wasn't letting go.
-----
"You must think you're tough shit coming home."
"Well Hermes, unlike you I have friends."
"You sure know how to be nice."
The bus takes them from the airport to Top Gun. The boys seem to think they are about to be rewarded by THE Iceman for a job well done.
Waiting outside was the entire Dagger Squad, in the middle stood Ice and Dragon with stony expressions.
The men all climbed out of the bus first forming a line, Lucky behind them the smirk on her face obvious, she bypasses their formal line and half-runs to the group standing there. Mickey takes a step forward and catches her duffle bag when she throws it into his arms. She reaches Cin and hugs her friend as tight as she could.
"I'm so sorry Lucky."
"Don't you dare apologize babe. I love you."
"I love you too." Cin tears up and cries into her shoulder.
She can hear the men making comments, she doesn't care. This is her home, these are her people.
After Cin had been properly hugged, Dragon stepped forward and took her daughter into her arms.
"Welcome home baby." She whispers in her ear.
"Thanks Momma."
"They'll never hurt you again."
"Can we get this little show on the road?" Calls out Hermes, and Lucky can feel Dragon tense up.
"Well gentleman, I suppose we can do that." Ice says, as Lucky makes her way to Mickey's arms. He kisses her forehead and doesn't let go.
Hermes steps forward, "I'm sure you understand how important this mission was and it was a success."
"Was it?" Jake says. "Was it really?"
"It's good to see you again Hangy." Hermes smirked.
Lucky goes to remove herself from Mickeys grip but he just tightens his hold around her waist.
"I wouldn't call almost killing the best aviator in the Navy, a successful mission." The voice that spoke was Dragon's, but she sounded nothing like how anyone had ever heard her before. Sure they'd heard her angry, but this? This was a whole new level, this was Dragon.
Hermes straightened up at that but he kept that damn smirk on his face, "I don't recall almost dying on this mission Commander Kazansky."
Lucky growled at that comment and Mickey had to tighten his grip again, thankfully Payback, Coyote, and Rooster were all there to offer hands to keep Lucky from beating the shit out of Hermes despite them all wanting to let her go.
"And I don't recall you ever being a good aviator." Dragon retorts.
"Oh you were talking about Lucky weren't you? She's fine, obviously she has all her little boytoys..."
He doesn't get to finish his statement, Lucky manages to shake off all her "little boytoys" and stomps her way over to Hermes.
"You can be an asshole to me all you want Hermes, but you say one word about any of my family? There won't be a body for your poor mother to bury."
For what it's worth, Hermes stands his ground too.
"Well damn Steele, no need to throw a temper tantrum."
"Her last name isnt Steele anymore." Mickey says walking up behind his wife. "It's Garcia."
"I guess my invitation got lost in the mail, since you have me to thank for getting the girl."
"I would have never said yes to you." Lucky says her voice dark, not liking where this was going.
He looked around at his men then at the crowd behind Lucky, then back down at Lucky.
"Men, you all just had the opportunity to fly with the only pilot who had to bang her way to the top. I mean look at all the men back there supporting her. You got Rooster and Hangy who can't deny a pretty girl. Hell I bet she's even rolled around with Coyote and Payback though I wouldn't imagine they are really her type. Maybe even sweet Bobby over there has had a chance. You think Iceman would be pulling out all the stops if he didn't know just how good that pus.."
When the fist connects with Hermes' face time stands still. Lucky has to look down at her own hands to make sure she hadn't punched him. No, it hadn't been her. It had been her husband. Her sweet, kind, goofy husband had punched the motherfucker.
Mickey stood over where Hermes lay on the ground holding his nose. "Never ever talk about my wife like that again or it wont just be a punch." He then turns around, grabs Luckys hand and walks her into base, bypassing even all their friends who try to stop him.
He guides her to the rec room, and once he decides they are far enough removed from the situation he turns around and kisses his wife soundly on the mouth.
"That was very sexy of you Mr. Gracia." She says as they pull apart.
"Yeah, now I know why you like punching people so much. It felt good."
Lucky smiles up at him, "can I see the damage?"
He holds out his right hand, and they both cringe a little when they see how bruised the knuckles already are.
"You pulled a real me out there." Lucky teases as she digs the first aid kit out of a cabinet.
"He wasn't going to finish that statement, not about my girl." Lucky opens her mouth, but he stops her, "I know you can handle yourself Bay, but I did vow to always protect you."
Lucky just smiles at him as she makes him sit on the worn out couch, and straddles his lap. Taking his hand in hers, she begins to take care of his knuckles.
"It's odd being on the other end of this." Mickey comments as he watches his wife concentrate on wrapping his hand.
"Oh shut up."
"Pretty sure I also vowed to annoy you the rest of our lives."
"That was Spicy's speech not your vows you dipshit."
"Spicy is smarter than I am."
"I'm glad you finally realize this."
He laughs, "I missed you."
"I missed you more."
"Impossible because I missed you way more than he did." Cin's voice carries through the rec room.
"Cin!" Lucky jumps off Fanboy's lap and runs to her friend and gives her another crushing hug. "I missed you so much too."
"Wow okay, I'm just chopped liver then." Mickey says sarcastically.
"Shut up Mickey." Both girls say at the same time.
"Where the fuck is my sister and my hug from her?"
"Roo!" Lucky catapults herself into his arms.
"God I missed you sis."
"Awww you missed me?"
"Don't ruin this nice moment."
The others joined them and hugs were given all around. Rueben picked her up and spun her around. Javy kissed her cheek.
Jake leans against the doorway taking in the sight.
"I guess I'm happy to see you back here in one piece." He says and Lucky whips around.
"Oh Jake, thank you so much." She says as she hugs him tight. "I guess you aren't so bad."
"Wow thanks babe."
"Hey now, that's my wife Seresin." Mickey teases.
"Oh you can have her Garcia!"
"Oh come on, I'm a delight and any man would be lucky to have me."
"Only Mickey is crazy enough to love you." Jake jokes.
Lucky smiles at her friend, "thanks again Jake. It meant alot for you to actually do what I asked."
"Only for you, you chaotic woman."
Rooster interrupts to say "Spicy just text, they're shutting down the Hard Deck for a special someone's coming home party."
"What about our pals that totally are never flying for the Navy again?" Lucky asks and Cin speaks up.
"Their meeting with all the higher ups is set for tomorrow. They think it's just a debrief and maybe some rewards." She gives an evil smile.
"Then let's go drink!"
"I get first dibs at Spicy, Chicken."
"I swear to God I will race you for that."
"And there they go." Jake sighs as the two run out to their cars.
Once they got to the Hard Deck, Lucky didn't even give the car a chance to be put in park before she was climbing out and running inside the bar.
"Where's my wife?" She calls out to the empty bar.
"Baylie!" Spicy comes running out of the kitchen.
"Grace!"
The two meet in a huge hug where neither want to let go first.
"Damn it, she beat me."
"She'll always beat you Bradley."
"Ouch."

Diaper Zone (Chaos Squad Top Gun AU)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Flyboys and Girls were at the top of their class back when they were in Top Gun. Now that time has passed and their lives changed, they find themselves as parents to a very chaotic group of little ones.
The chaos and love increase when they are all assigned to the same military base daycare teacher. The poor teacher is unaware of the chaos and fun that she will have in her class throughout her time with them.

Who Was The Best Ghostface?
Ranking all Ghostface killers from the "Scream" movies in order of who was the best at being Ghostface, in my opinion. Taking into account a few factors; who had the better motives, how much they contributed to the attacks/killings, how far they got in their plan and how well they executed it and possibly some other factors. Some might out way the others but I'll try to explain my thoughts as best I can. So let's get started. 13. Jason Carvey: while his motive was fine, it wasn't one of the better ones. It was just a continuation of Amber and Richie's pretty much. However, since he was one of the opening kills it makes sense why they wouldn't waste a good motive on him and Greg. The fact he was found out and killed so quickly proves he's the worst Ghostface so far though.
Tumblr media
12. Richie Kirsch: this really depends on how you watch and analyze "Scream V" but from my point of view, Richie didn't kill anyone. The only confirmed attacks to be him were Sam and Mindy which both failed. The directors have already said in interviews that he barley did any of the work and Sam even mentions in "Scream VI" that "he made his girlfriend do all the killing." Like many fans of the franchise, you may be thinking "how could she possibly know that?" It's not that hard to figure out when for most of the movie/attacks Richie was with Sam or close by and with Gale's investigation instincts she could've easily found out where Amber and Richie were most of the time. Example: going to the hotel Richie was at and asking when he arrived there and if he left would help figure out if he actually participated in the killing of Judy and Wes. He basically let someone much younger than him do all the dirty work and pull the strings while thinking he was in charge the whole time. It would've been different if he betrayed her in the end like a couple of other who made it higher on this list but he never even got the chance. His motive was good though but not good enough to save him from being this low on my list.
Tumblr media
11. Stu Macher: okay, I know this is going to piss people off because he's one of the originals and a fan favorite so everyone hold him up on a pedestal along with Billy but again, like Richie, I guess it really depends on how you view the movie. Stu does the least amount of work and on top of all that he makes the mistake of trusting his partner and by doing so is almost killed and betrayed by him. Roman even mentions in "Scream 3" that he suggested Billy get a partner to frame in case he's caught. I have no doubt in my mind if they were successful that Stu would've ended up dead or in jail anyway.
Tumblr media
10. Quinn Bailey: she was a pretty decent Ghostface but honestly, I don't know how far she would've gotten if her father wasn't a detective or helping her. Faking her death was smart because not only does it take her off the suspect list but it allows her to do kills while her father and brother get alibis but again, without her father being a detective it would've made it much harder executing her fake death so because of that she still pretty low on my list but higher then they others because she actually did a decent amount of the dirty work and wasn't betrayed by her partners. Although it's widely disliked in this fandom, I actually liked their motive and the fact that it was a family seeking revenge, not just a parent or sibling.
Tumblr media
9. Ethan Landry: I decided to put Ethan a place higher than his sister because he seemed more aggressive and willing to me. He killed Quinn's hookup and then proceeded to take on three people (Sam, Mindy and Anika) at once and wounding two of them and then killing one of them. While not factual, I think he would have made it further without his father's help than Quinn did because while Wayne was the brains behind it I feel like he didn't help Ethan quite as much as Quinn.
Tumblr media
8. Wayne Bailey: since he was the mastermind and brains behind these attacks I think it's fair to place him above his kids. Being a detective put him at a higher advantage as well. Not only was he an aggressive Ghostface but I think his plan was well thought through and executed fairly well and as already mentioned, I actually really like their motive even if it's just another version of Nancy's motive from "Scream 2."
Tumblr media
7. Billy Loomis: his motive was to kill Maureen because she was sleeping his his father causing his mother to abandoned them. Which would've been okay if it stopped there but he kept going. It would've made sense if he tortured Sidney while Maureen was still alive. Since she's dead, what's the point? Sidney didn't do anything. At this point their just doing it for fun, I guess? Which is fine, I guess. I can look past that. What puts him kind of low on my list is that he and Stu start stabbing each other to paint themselves as victims before they kill Sidney and Neil. He was carrying out his plan pretty well before that. He killed Maureen, framed Cotton and got away with it for a whole year which is why I let him be a little higher on my list than I originally wanted him to be.
Tumblr media
6. Charlie Walker: this is another one that kind of depends on how you view and analyze the movie but in my opinion, Charlie kills everyone in "Scream 4" besides Trevor. With that, he's already a great Ghostface but what knocks him down to seventh place for me is that he was so blinded by his infatuation for Jill that he trusted her to wound him instead of doing it himself, leading to her betraying him and ultimately resulting to his death.
Tumblr media
5. Mickey Altieri: I'm putting Mickey right before Charlie because they're situations are very similar. While Nancy helped Mickey more than Jill helped Charlie, I think Mickey still did most of the dirty work but mostly because he wanted to since it's implied he was already a serial killer prior to the event of "Scream 2." Like Charlie he was betrayed by his partner but unlike Charlie it wasn't due to him being blinded by love or anything like that. It was rather sudden and caught him off guard. Ultimately, trusting a stranger and it leading to him being betrayed and almost murdered instead of staying on guard and killing her first loses him points. Plus, his motive was stupid and I didn't like it at all.
Tumblr media
4. Nancy Loomis: her motive is rather simple but it's one of the better ones: good old fashioned revenge. She was also smart enough to get someone on the inside (Mickey) because she obviously couldn't been seen by Sidney. She was also partnered with someone who was already a serial killer so it was smart of her to kill him before he could turn on her. Plus, his motive would've more than likely fucked her over which she was very much aware of.
Tumblr media
3. Amber Freeman: as I already mentioned when talking about Richie, I believe Amber did all the killing (or at the very least, most.) The directors/writes have basically confirmed in on and off screen that she was the mastermind but let Richie believe he was in charge and did most of the work. She wasn't manipulated into doing the killing, she wanted to and you can see that with how excited she gets after her reveal. She was the one who informed Richie Sam was the daughter of Billy Loomis and she more than likely told him to take Tara's inhaler because the spare one was at her house and she knew Tara would have to go there to get it (Richie literally says "I can't believe this worked" as if he doubted Amber.) Amber also killed a legacy character and wounded the other two. She took on Sidney and Gale, two full grown women, at the same time and even though she ultimately ended up dying she did some damage. Her motive was 10/10 for me. I don't know why people hate it because they literally sound like Amber and Richie complaining about it. She was a child carrying a full grown man. That's embarrassing, which is why Richie is so low but it's iconic for Amber to accomplish so much for being so young.
Tumblr media
2. Roman Bridger: he was the only Ghostface to go solo which means he did all the work. He deserves the recognition doing it all himself and getting as close as he did. He also technically started it all by convincing Billy to kill Maureen. I know a lot of people, including the cast, thought it was random for Roman to be Sidney's brother but I think it makes so much sense and I think they executed it well. The storyline wasn't anymore random than Billy having a daughter that no one knew about for years but Amber found out like nothing.
Tumblr media
1. Jill Roberts: in my opinion, she is the smartest Ghostface and quite frankly the best when it comes to planning and getting away with it. Sure, she made Charlie do all the Ghostface killings and kills only Trevor and her partner but that's the genius part. Her goal was to become the new Sidney so she had to keep her hands clean as much as possible. She was the only one smart enough to not let her partner wound her and instead betrayed him before he could her. She killed everyone (or so she thought) before beating the shit out of herself and making herself look like the victim. She's the one who got the closest to killing Sidney and getting away with it and shes the only Ghostface to not scream like a maniac when she “comes back” after being seemingly killed. Her motive was 10/10. I remember watching "Scream 4" for the first time and thinking how relevant it was at the time and it's only gotten more relevant with time.
