You and Itoshi Rin were childhood friends. So it was a shock when you found out that he became more cold and ruthless from other people. You refused to believe so. Why? Because the rin you had knew was such a sweet person..so you thought, "there's no way he changed..."
You were wrong. When you returned to japan once again at the age of 16, your brother managed to drag you to a stadium which was where the U-20 vs Blue lock's eleven was held at. You didn't really thought much of it and was barely paying attention...that was until you saw them.
The Itoshi siblings fighting against eachother. You were surprised. Why? You asked. Didn't those two shared a dream together. You kept bitting your nails as it became a habit to you when you get anxious.
You realized that..the rumours about Rin was never a lie. He really did change. He wasn't the person you knew before. He wasn't the sweet boy who shared a dream with his older brother..it wasn't him anymore, he had become so cold, so distant. At least to you. And all this time you had refused to believe others when they told you he had changed.
You really sacrificed your own dreams on becoming a fencer just so you could support the two brothers on their dreams. But it seems like it was such a pathetic choice. You shouldn't have done that. But due to being blinded by love..I guess maybe that's a reason why.
Once the game ended, you immediately stood up running out of the stadium. When you first saw rin you thought it was a good opportunity to greet him and to tell him you were back but not anymore. You couldn't handle see him change. So you ran out leaving your brother to chase after you.
It been years now, you are now 20 and known as a famous pro fencer. You've win alot of medals in the olympics. Being well known as a well known fencer in the olympics felt nice because this time you learn to prioritize yourself no one else but yourself.
One day, during practice with you're teammates, you're fencing instructor had called for you which piqued the interest of not only you, but you're teammates as well. You excuse yourself from you're opponent and went to you're instructor asking why she called for you.
"Did I do something wrong?" You looked at you're instructor confused while you took off you're mask. The coach smiled and shook her head to reasure you. "It's not anything bad, just that someone is requesting to meet you," now you looked at her full of curiosity.
Someone searching for you? I mean thats quite rare. It couldn't be you're brother nor you're parents and any other relatives or outside friends of yours because they should've known that you have practice. So this just made you curious.
You went outside the training hall only to hear a deep voice of a male. "Hi," he stated. You look up wide eye when you were met with those bright aquatic blue eyes that you have seen when you were a child. What was he doing here? Wouldn't he be busy right now.
You wanted to leave but you're body wouldn't budge. You were frozen right beneath him. You didn't like it, him towering over you and yet here you are being a coward. "What do you want Itoshi?" You asked with a cold voice. You were slowly losing your composure.
"what happened to you?" He asked and you scoffed. He looked at you with a raised brow. "What happened to me? Psh I should've asked you the same.." now he looked really confused.
He looked at you with eyes that held concerned. He noticed something different. He knew that this wasn't you. At least not to him. He noticed you had become a whole new person. "You've changed.." he stated. You looked at him with a smirk. "So did you.."
Rin looked at her. He didn't expect that reply from you that he backed away. You lowered your head trying to hide you're face and eyes that was threatening to spill out the tears.
You chuckled. "Oh c'mon..I saw you when you went against the u-20. I refused to believe you've changed," a tear from your eyes had dropped to the ground. "But now... I've learned to accept it, so now you should accept the fact I did too,"
He couldn't believe his ears..he felt as if life was decieving him right this moment. This wasn't you..this wasn't the person he knows, no it can't be right? or was it really you..and you really have changed. "I have to go...it was nice meeting you again rin.." before you went back to the training hall, you made one last eye contact with him and continued..
"or should I say..the young prodigy," and with those words that had came out from your own mouth, you had left him right there. At least now he understands how you felt during that day. that you have changed to a different person just like he did.
ווווווווווווווווווו×
Your relationship with Itoshi Sae was just you two being close friends from the start of preschool. You and him were known unseperatable. It's as if you were stuck to him like glue because every moment people would see you and see together.
When sae took in the dream of becoming the best striker you went to support him. You never stopped supporting him. Every day, every moment you would be there when he practiced and you would be there in every game he had played.
But it all ended when sae was given an opportunity to play in spain. You were proud of him. He finally reached this point. Although there was a feeling of sadness in your heart, you told yourself to hide any signs of sadness.
It's been years since sae had been in spain, when you heard he's about to return you were so overjoyed. But obviously sae was going to meet his little brother first. Afterall he is family.
But what you didn't expect to here from rin was that sae's no longer the person you guys knew. You were oblivious to what he meant so you shrugged it off. When the doorbell rung you were happy...well just for a while untill he gave you the harsh reality.
"I want to break our friendship.." he was blunt with it. Not even one single emotion or feeling of guilt. He was so fucking straight forward. You froze. "What do you mean?" You asked. "I just decided to leave you because all this time you've been a distraction,"
"a distraction, but I've been supporting you—" he cut you off. "That's the exact problem," you wanted to cry right there and you did and all he did was scoffed. "You're annoying, all you do is hold me back. Its also funny how you keep trying to fit in and hide in the shadows at the same time,"
"you're pathetic so now I realized it's time to leave you," he stated. It really shattered. Out of frustration you yelled out at him. "Fine leave, but once you do I don't want to ever see you again..!"
"tch you really think I want anything to do with you? What a horrible assumption."
"I wished I had never even met you in the first place.."
"glad you feel the same way l/n—san.."
Now you are 22 years old. You were known as one of the worlds talented figure skating champion in the olympics. You had won so many gold and silver medals along with trophies. Let's just say ever since sae had said those words to you..you decided to chase the impossible.
He was right. You tried so hard to fit it, but sometimes fitting in won't get you anywhere. So you stood out, and here you are known as one of the worlds best figure skaters. It felt good to stand out. It felt good to be known and not be hidden under some stupid shadows. This was what you could've done years ago if you hadn't been so dependant on sae.
Right now you were being interviewed by a crowd of people. You didn't really like being interviewed. You hated it along with big crowds but most of the time you can't escape them. They kept asking you questions until a question from a certain person frozed you.
"how does it feel to be known?" The crowd of people froze due to amazement to see one of the worlds 11 also known as itoshi sae was there. The crowd even gave way for him to make his way Infront of you. "It's nice to see you again Y/n.." You smiled but you were really just irritated that he caused this scene.
"ah well if you could excuse me people but Itoshi-san and i might have to talk in private right now," you dragged him by his wrist to an empty hallway.
Once you made sure it was clear you didn't hesitate to slap him. "What the hell is your god damn problem?!" His hand went towards the cheek you had slap him on. "Didn't I fucking told you that I didn't want to see you're face ever again?!" Sae was taken aback since you snapped. "I remembered, but you really think I was going to listen to you?" He mumbled. After a few minutes of silence, sae decided to break it.
"You've changed.." "So did you sae-san," sae didn't expect that to be you're response.
You let out a shaky breathe. "Look sae, I want nothing to do with you anymore so now I suggest you to leave me, and never come back..just like what you did before,"
And with that..you left him there while sae was silently regretting his words and choices he had said to you years ago. If only he could move back in time, maybe he would've changed what he had said to you.
ווווווווווווווווווו×
Isagi Yoichi had been you're best friend. You never left his side. Whenever he felt down you were there for him. Whenever you felt down he was there for you. You supported isagi's dream to becoming a football player and he supported your's in becoming an archer but you had to gave up on it all due to you an injury. A wrist injury. It happened when Isagi was playing soccer and the ball hit you're wrist.
As you two grew up, you're relationship never changed. When Isagi lost to go to the finals you were there and went he told you a few moments later that he was picked by the jfu you were proud of him.
But maybe you should've stopped him..or maybe not. When you heard that he was playing for the u-20 you were happy and you went there with his parents. But when he was playing you noticed something his parents didn't. Part of you said it was still Isagi...but the other said it doesn't seem like it was Isagi to you.
You shrugged it off thinking it was probably just coincidence. Well I guess it wasn't. Even after Isagi won, he didn't acknowledged you at all. It was as if you never existed to him anymore. Even if he did, it would be a simple greet.
You didn't think he changed much until you saw him play against england along with noel noa. That proofed you that he had changed, that his ego raised. You realized that Isagi had technically achieved his dream. You were happy but dad he changed.
As time passes by you learned to accept his change and decided to change yourself. You've finally decided to go after that dream again. You didn't care if you were to injure your wrist again because you told yourself if you didn't take a risk, then your life wouldn't go anywhere.
You're relatives didn't think it was a good Idea but you didn't listen because this dream was something you've been longing to achieve. Times passed on, and eventually the more you believed in yourself, you've changed and you achieved the dream of becoming a successful professional female archer.
Most of the time you played in teams during events but you usually prefer playing as an individual instead. You're ego had also raised because you're mindset changed from "one for all," to "all for one".
You were known quite cold and focused and that attitude lead you to success. Working in teams were fun but sometimes it's best to go solo.
You were finally back in japan after being in US for an archery tournament. Even after you returned home you kept training in the backyard. You're family was quite worried for you're well being but they probably had figured out this was like a routine for you.
Just as you were about to shoot another arrow to the target, someone had stopped you by holding you're wrist. You flinched and looked behind to see Isagi.
"what are you doing here?" You asked in a stern voice. He smiled at you. "You shouldn't be overworking yourself especially since you just came back.." he said completely ignoring you're question.
You let down you're how and scoffed. "Like I said..what are you doing here?" You asked once again. "I heard you were back in japan and decided to visit you," once he said that you immediately went back to practicing.
"Well I thank you for the visit but I'm quite busy as you can see right now," you shot the arrow on the bullseye as always. Isagi sighed. "You've changed (n/n)—chan.." you froze and held in a breathe. He was right you did change but it was because you saw him accept a change. You let out the breathe you held and lowered down you're head along with the bow then proceed to smile.
"So did you..yo-chan"
ווווווווווווווווווו×
Nagi Seishiro. Who was he to you? Well you could say you were strangers who immediately became gaming buddies. You met in the arcade. Nagi and you were known unstoppable whenever you played together.
No matter what, you two managed to beat others. You and nagi were quite unseperatable. Although as you grew up you realize that eventually nagi will change but you decided to shrug it off. Afterall it shouldn't come so soon right.
But...it seem that it did come so soon. Magi immediately change the moment he met Mikage reo. Now you don't hate reo obviously not. He was a nice guy it's just... because of his encounter with nagi.. you're friend had changed.
Ever since he met reo, nagi had a strong passion into playing soccer. You were happy for him but because of all that you and nagi weren't as close as before. It was as if...you guys were strangers again.
Nagi and you had become distant. You usually have long conversations with eachother while playing games but that immediately change and become to small talks.
You've realized he changed. The nagi seishiro you knew wasn't there anymore. So when nagi decided to break the friendship you weren't surprised but you felt relieved for some reason. Maybe it was because now he broke it, you won't have to think about it again.
That was years ago. You heard that now, both Nagi seishiro along with Mikage reo were known as football prodigies. What about you? Well you are known and a volleyball player. You see after nagi broke off the friendship you joined the volleyball team and managed to bring the team into the nationals.
Not only that, as you grew you were invited in the japanese volleyball team. You've win so many games along with you're teammates and you were happy you've reached this far.
One day and you were walking on the streets that was not so crowded while playing a game, you bumped into someone or well more if one person while the other was focused on something else.
"watch where you're—wait y/n-san?" Well it seems like the person you bumped into was none other than reo. "Ah reo—uhm hi?"
"WAH, it's been so long hasn't it? How have you been?" He asked. Nagi was there observing the two. He realized something. He realized your change. "It has been long but I'm fine reo.." you replied to his question.
Just as reo was about to talk again, someone had cut him off. "Reo..can I talk to y/n alone?" You knew that voice and you will never forget that voice.
"oh nagi, uhmm sure I'll go on ahead. I'll see you next time y/n!" You waved at reo before he was no longer in your sight. Now you were alone with nagi.
"it's been a while huh seishiro?" You smiled at him. Nagi froze. You had never called him 'seishiro..' it was always 'sei'. He stayed silent.
You sighed. "Seishiro if you plan to not talk I think it's best I get going.." you were about to leave him there until his hand stopped you.
"you've changed so much...why is that?" You looked at him but with a smile. "So did you sei, you've changed as well.." you said completely ignoring his question. And with that you left him without letting him question you the same question again.

Station: Nightingale
Nightcord at 25:00 Adjacent Music Circle
A group of online users that uses the app Nightcord to communicate in order to create songs that can hopefully save someone and maybe even themselves
Tumblr media
Kanade Yoisaki (K) - Composer. Blames herself for what happened to her dad, and so has cursed herself to create songs that will save people.
Tenma Saki (Nozomi) - Lyricist. Spent her Middle School years in hospital where she found K’s music and started writing lyrics to the songs. She hopes that her lyrics will speak and reach out to people.
Kamishiro Rui (Chrono) - MV Creator. Ostracized due to his eccentrics, Rui started attending night school to avoid his old classmates and spends all his free time creating Music Videos from his heart to try to get his feelings out.
Aoyagi Toya (Yato) - Arrangements. Wanted to escape Classical Music by any means and try to find his own sound and so one night came across K’s music as was mesmerized by it and the feeling it gave him so attempted to chase it by making his own arrangement of the song
SEKAI: Train Station SEKAI
Consists of a train station platform and a steam train with as many carriages as the eye can see.
The station itself seems to be located in the middles of an expansive field and is perpetually dark, only lit up by the stars in the sky and the stations lights.
Each carriage layout is identical to the next and despite how far down they go down the train, if they wish to exit, the door will immediately take them back to the platform.
Luggage and bags seem to dot around the platform and in the carriages.
First Virtual Singers
Tumblr media
Hatsune Miku - Train Conductor. Isn’t necessarily very talkative but can be found humming or singing songs quietly. She offers a quiet and calm presence that makes the others feel welcoming. She assures that they are all safe on this train.
MEIKO - Passenger. Can almost always be found sitting on of the the benches on the platform with a bag. Similar to Miku, she offers a welcoming presence and is always willing to listen and give advice to the others, though she tends to act a bit aloof. She assures them that is fine to be themselves here and that there is no rush, the train will still be here for them when they are ready to depart.
Virtual Singers
Order of Appearance (StC)
Tumblr media
Kagamine Len - Runaway. Is always caught hiding behind pillars of the station, or slouched deep into a chair in the carriages. He arrived on the train without a ticket and is scared of the ticket inspector (KAITO) finding him, so whenever he sees KAITO, he bolts the other way or quickly hides. He explains that he is on this train because he wants to get away and chase his own dreams which really resonates with Toya and slightly with Rui.
Kagamine Rin - Train Employee. Rin is always bursting with ideas on how to improve the station and the train itself. She is always covered in paint and dirt and is always carrying around tools and paint brushes with her. Some carriages of the train seem to be victims of her creative outbursts. The other virtual singers seem used to her eccentrics but don’t seem bothered by it and in fact actually encourage it.
Megurine Luka - Passenger? Luka isn’t seen very often in the SEKAI and mainly only appears when the group is ready to release a new song. She always warns of rejection and failure, saying “that this song also might not save anyone, or it won’t reach those it needs to reach. Are you prepared for that?” The group is normally hesitant after she says that but push on with their determination because even if this one fails, they’ll learn from it and the next one surely will and if not, one day a song will. Luka tends to specifically pick on Kanade, testing her determination.
KAITO - Ticket Inspector. Seems scary and strict but is actually exceptionally kind and is always ready to bring a bright atmosphere to the station. He jokes with the group and cares for them in a type of father figure way. He tells the group that whilst it’s always important to be kind, it is okay to have your own morals, if something upsets them or rubs them the wrong way, they don’t need to just smile and brush it off, it’s okay to say “I’m not okay with that.” In the same way he handles his job, he understands that some people can’t afford a ticket but he can’t just let anyone on board.
Subject to Change as I go on figuring out this AU more.

anyways I'm caffeinated so I'm going to make a headcanon post for some songs i like for kakash & how they apply
california dreamin' //I've always hc'd that the idea of leaving Konoha is something Kakashi had hanging over his head for a long time after Minato died. Though it wasn't a logical train of thought & he knew it wasn't realistic, it's still an idea he never quite shakes. the weight of his losses during the war was suffocating & it seemed to follow him everywhere. but it's not something he can do. he knows that, he knows that everyone he loves who's died has died for Konoha. he knows that Konoha made him. even if he tried to leave, they would hunt him for the rest of his life. he's never known anything else & he's not sure he ever could. Of course when he connects with team 7, it all changes. they provide a new sort of faith he thought he had lost, they show a glimmer of light for the future. just because it was dark before does not mean it will always be. slowly they renew his perception of the world, each of his students in their own way. They drive him to believe in the spirit of fire again. People keep dying for the village because it's worth protecting, they just saw something he didn't for a long time.
time // unpopular opinion: this is one of my favorite songs for Kakashi. i feel like it has this dissociative feel that represents how the years pass after Obito, Rin & eventually Minato die. he falls into a routine of bloodshed & isolation & time seems to pass faster than what he can perceive. when he's young he keeps thinking it might get better, that tomorrow might fix things. then a decade passes & he feels the same, if not worse. it feels like he's chasing sunrises when they can't do anything but bring the next day, if that makes sense? for a long time, he expects things to just get better because he doesn't understand how to make things better. it also definitely applies to the years slipping through his fingers after his father dies. He was so young & spent so much time on his studies that he didn't necessarily give himself the chance to mature emotionally? Like eventually he does figure it out but he's put into very adult situations as a child & though he makes it work, the trauma sort of blinds him as to where he needs to go next? internally, at least. it leaves him arrogant by the time he becomes a jounin because he never grew past that. It blinds him, it stunts him until it's too late.
saint bernard // oh shit this one could be a post on it's own. This song, again, has the heavy/dissociative feeling that i associate with Kakashi. But I like to think that this song applies to Kakashi right before he find team 7. It's when he's coming to terms with the fact that his upbringing has fried his emotions. He's seeing things a little more clearly, though it's not an optimistic perception. But he's slowly learning to love himself & others, despite his mistakes. team 7 is showing him something he hasn't seen in a long time. They're more than human weapons, they have hopes & dreams beyond the bloodshed he was bred for. They were all bred for. At that point in his timeline, he still thinks they're all replaceable ( himself included ) but they give him a little more faith. they're showing him a new way, separate from what he had always known.
i don't trust u anymore // a) trans anthem b) when kakashi joins anbu he really starts to open his eyes to how the world works. He's always had an idea, he's always accepted that the shinobi world was dark & terrible & bloody... but to be the one committing those atrocities? it changes things. there's a steady change in his perception that shifts from ' i want to follow orders ' to ' i have to follow orders'. also lowkey i feel like this applies to Kakashi being trans & being accepted by his higher-ups because of his level of power & efficiency... but then he see's other trans folks being discriminated against? I want to write another post on this song as well as that situation.
be nice to me // this applies to Kakashi during the events of og naruto where he's changing every aspect of how he views the world. his perception of the world is totally twisted around during this time. the line ' there is very little left of me & it's never coming back ' really screams to me in this song because the person he was is gone. he's changing day by day & he doesn't owe it to anyone to be the person he used to be... & the people around him are changing too. it's the first time in a long time he feels like he's growing with his friends & comrades. they don't have to be the people they were, they aren't soldiers anymore.
home // so ( another) trans anthem of course of course. however i think this song really applies to how he perceives himself & the relationships around him. I feel like he has a lot of little intimate moments with himself where he thinks about the person he is, who he's become & how that's affected the relationships in his life. He cut off a lot of people for a really long time & it leaves him feeling really disconnected & afraid of how they perceive him. plus another way that this applies is i don't really think??? many people know that he is trans. i don't think it's something that a lot of trans people put out there in the shinobi world & it leaves him feeling this disconnect with people because he doesn't feel like they know him & the thought of them knowing him makes him feel physically ill?? if that makes sense. I'll make a whole post on gender & what it means to him immediately but he struggles hard with dysphoria as well as dysmorphia growing up, but there's a really beautiful journey of him settling into his skin here. i definitely think that conversation deserves it's own post though.
wild world // i really think that this song applies more to og naruto - naruto shippudden kakashi. this is really about him coming to terms with the fact that not everything is gonna be good & that's okay. he's lost people & will continue to do so & though it will never stop hurting... he'll always have them in how he remembers them. He carries them with him & that shouldn't shut him off to the next person. Naruto especially shows him that..If they leave him, if they die, if he never see's them again... it's going to hurt, but what can it be but okay?

ཐི♡ཋྀ ITOSHI SAE
ꨄ︎ home ---- you’ve known sae since you were both sixteen. he’s always dreamed of going overseas and facing the world, will he ever be ready to come home?
conversations ---- he’s back home, and you recall the times you’d spoken to him. all the calls you made, then all the calls he made, and then all the times it went to voicemail.
conversations: restart ---- (alt. ending) sae’s willing to throw everything else away to prove that out of everything in his life, you’re the one sure thing he needs. problem is, will you accept him after what he’s done?
about time ---- nothing’s necessary except his talent in soccer, until you appeared. and now, he’s got a new challenge.
whole ---- sae has few interests, and one of them is you. but sometimes, being special just isn’t enough.
incomplete ---- sae rarely knows what he’s doing when he comes to you. and sometimes, by the time he figures it out, it’s all way too late and you’re too far gone.
affection ---- the way sae loves you is beautiful. it’s nothing like you envisioned and something you never knew you needed.
chasing memories ---- you’re the one sae can’t get over. he’s beginning to think he never will.
ꨄ︎ always, eventually, yours ---- you have a crush on sae. for a long time now. and he’s always known that. he just wants to see how long you can hold out.
all this time ---- just when you feel like giving up, sae pulls you back into him.
& again ---- sae’s still learning the ropes on being in a relationship, and sometimes you think you can’t wait any longer. but this is itoshi sae, maybe you can.
and when he wants you ---- what do you do when your best friend kind of sort of forces you to confess your two-year long crush when you’re not ready to? pray and hope for the best.
don’t want you to go ---- he’s stupid and stubborn and bad at being a boyfriend. you make him want to be better though. always.
moral of the story ---- you and sae have been in love with each other since high school. during your special day, he throws you a curveball.
pucker up, buttercup ---- being sae’s girlfriend is tough. there’s a lot of things he can’t make time for, and unfortunately this time, it’s you. but somehow, he always pulls through.
series: if not for you ---- neither of you want this. both you and sae reluctantly agree to this marriage, although sae’s dissatisfaction far outweighs your own. with hidden agendas and old flames, will this ever work out between the two of you, or will your forced spark be doomed to fail? [ completed ]
series: priceless ---- there’s a high price to pay for getting involved with itoshi sae. there’s an even higher price to pay when it seems like he’s not the only one. with everything going on behind the scenes, will you be able to afford all of it? [ ongoing ]
Tumblr media
ཐི♡ཋྀ ITOSHI RIN
something stronger ---- rin thinks about you all the time, for better or for worse. problem is, he really shouldn’t be anymore. things never seem to work out for the both of you, will trying even make a difference this time?
soft ---- one cute thing he would do for you.
one answer ---- you and rin are both oblivious to each other’s feelings. but maybe one push is all you need.
the things you left behind ---- you & sae had something special, until he forcibly cuts it off. and now rin has you in his sights—but things get complicated when sae comes back for you.
Tumblr media
ཐི♡ཋྀ NAGI SEISHIRO
effervescent ---- it’s a little more difficult for nagi to realise his feelings compared to the average man.
in his language ---- he didn’t ask you out because he wanted to, yet nagi gets more than he bargained for in the end.
Tumblr media
ཐི♡ཋྀ MIKAGE REO
what if it’s you and me
love, you ---- heartbroken, you turn to your best friend for an escape. but he gives you much more than that.
Tumblr media
ཐི♡ཋྀ ISAGI YOICHI
build a date ---- isagi has a crush on you.
Tumblr media
ཐི♡ཋྀ MICHAEL KAISER
skin-deep ---- kaiser has more reason to visit his regular cafe spot now. and he’s not gonna quit until he makes you his.
no contest ---- being just friends doesn’t mean much when neither of you really want to keep it that way. problem is, will either of you make the first move?

All word counts: 100
Prompt One: Passion
Everyone knew Sesshomaru as stoic.
And he was.
He was slow to crack a smile, slow to show his rage, subtle in the ways he expressed interest or happiness or affection, he was cool and collected.
But he was brilliant in passion.
Kagome knew few had seen him that way, sweating and swearing and chasing release, and she would never take for granted the gift it was to be his this way.
Especially when he would cuddle up next to her after and nuzzle into her hair.
In the safety of their bed he was not stoic.
He was sweet.
Prompt Two: Error
Kagome grumbled under her breath, trying another combination of keys to try and fix whatever problem was keeping her from finishing her work for the day.
ERROR
She growled, trying yet another combination, praying and begging it would work.
ERROR
She whined.
She just wanted to go home.
“Please please please,” she chanted, trying again.
ERROR
“GAH! It’s hopeless! I’ll never figure-“
An arm reached over her shoulder, golden eyes staring at her with warm amusement as Sesshomaru, the hot guy from the next cubicle, fixed her issue with a quick strike of keys.
“T-thank you.”
“Do not mention it.”
Prompt Three: Learn
Kagome, he’d learned, could not be learned.
She claimed she wanted to be friends, or at least, more than allies since she was now taking such a prominent hand in Rin’s education and upbringing.
“Unconventional coparenting,” she’d said.
But she was MADDENING in her irreverence, and he couldn’t figure her out.
She would go from picking idly at his sleeves and hair, droning on about hopes and dreams, to calling him a spoiled jerk who took himself too seriously.
It made no sense.
Blue eyes twinkled as she bid him farewell, and he counted the hours before his next visit.
Prompt Four: Share
Kagome stared agog at her half empty bowl of popcorn as Sesshomaru reached in and took another giant handful stuffing it all in his mouth.
He grabbed another.
And another.
The bowl growing emptier and emptier by the moment.
And she’d only had a few bites, herself.
She couldn’t even say what was happening in the movie they were seeing, as she’d been too busy watching in shocked horror as Sesshomaru ate all of their massive bowl of popcorn.
All by himself.
“Do you mind?!” She snapped. “You said you didn’t like it!”
“You said we would share,” he smirked.
Prompt five: repeat
“I… repeat that again, please?!”
Sesshomaru’s mouth thinned into an agitated line, but he inhaled, held it, and released, gearing up to give his speech again.
“I said, miko, that… this one would… like to court you.”
“Okay, so I DID hear you right…. BUT WHY?!”
Sesshomaru tensed up again, and she felt bad for how much discomfort she was causing.
But she was just *so confused.*
“I have… developed… a… *regard* for you.”
“A regard?”
“Hn.”
“I see.
He was so stiff with tension, waiting breathlessly, but when she agreed, it looked like the sun rose in his eyes.
Prompt Six: Design
Kagome’s heart was hammering.
Her hands shook as she smoothed the seam of her latest design on the models broad back and then walked around to adjust the lapels on his chest and straighten the chains of the necklaces he wore.
He watched her through eyes of the wrong color, and she brushed too dark hair off his shoulder.
But it was unmistakable.
After all this time… Sesshomaru.
“Fancy seeing you here, miko.”
She met his eyes, falling past the glamor of brown meant to hide their golden depths.
He wanted to sweep her away again.
She would let him.
Prompt Seven: Form
Kagome had not wanted to go all the way to the European countryside to visit an aunt she’d never met before, but she’d been guilted by her mother into “one last family trip before you graduate college and leave me forever.”
So she’d relented.
There was nothing to do, just an overgrown garden with one statue sitting in front of a fountain.
She huffed at it and turned to go back inside but she spun too hard and fell backwards, knocking the statue into the water.
A splash. A flash. And she was in the arms of a beautiful man.
Prompt Eight: Produce
He would train relentlessly.
He would surpass his father.
He would rule the west with an iron fist and show not one shred of weakness to exploit.
He would find a strong, capable yokai woman and produce powerful pups to he HIS heirs to train to one day surpass him.
These were his duties, the ones he’d had stamped on his heart and soul since before he was born, the ones he’d been raised to hold above ALL things.
And he did.
Not one want, need or desire had come before them, and he’d been content in that.
Until Kagome.
Prompt Nine: Inspire
His father inspired him to spite.
He may have fallen prey to weakness but Sesshomaru would rise above.
His mother inspired him to indifference.
She sat above it all in a palace on the clouds and nothing touched her physically OR emotionally. It was how HE needed to be.
His brother inspired him to rage.
At first a constant reminder of the downfall of their great and terrible father, now he was just…. A brother, anger inducing in different ways.
Rin inspired him to softness.
A life to nurture instead of destroy.
Kagome inspired him… to love.
To love HER.
Prompt Ten: Dismantle/Build
There was so much to dismantle and toss out.
Anger and sadness and hatred and bigotry and abandonment.
Was that all there was to him? Was he made of only these hard, ugly things that hurt and maimed and destroyed not only those who stood in his way, but his very soul?
It seemed endless, the task of breaking apart the darkness so he could rebuild with the light.
It seemed hopeless. Endless. Thankless.
Pointless.
Soft hands with blunt nails, human nails, settled on his arm.
He covered them with his own, and he remembered why he wanted to try.

After weeks of testing and studying hard you finally made it into class four. Now time to make friends with your classmates and shoot up the ranks into popularity. Swallowing your nervousness you approached a group of people to introduce yourself.
"Good morning. I'm (l/n)(f/n) it's nice to meet you all." you gave them the biggest smile you could muster.
The group acknowledged your presence then continued their previous conversation ignoring you. After a few minutes you decided they'd be a lost cause and moved onto a different group. After successfully managing to make no friends you cut your losses and took a seat.
"Well that went well." a voice beside you said.
"Oh shut up. I don't see you trying to make friends." you replied irritated.
"Nah too much work. I have a team full of people to tolerate already."
"Wait why are you even here?" you asked the boy beside you.
"Rude. This is my class if you must know." he said annoyed.
"Hold on. You? Suna Rintaro? Class four? Is the world ending?" you asked apprehensively.
Suna grunted and ignored you. Slowly a smirk formed on your face, "Your mom threatened to come see you again didn't she?"
"You're in my business princess. Don't do that." Suna booped your nose.
You stuck your tongue out at him right as the teacher walked in to start homeroom.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Half the day and three periods later it was that weird period right before lunch and Suna's attention span couldn't keep up any longer. At this point you were taking notes for Suna to steal later when he could be bothered to write them down. The clock on the wall showed there were five minutes left until lunch so you decided to zone out.
Your thoughts ranged from getting homework on the first day of school to what you might be having for dinner tonight. Eventually they strayed to the boy napping beside you. You two had been friends for a long time. You met your second year of elementary school when Suna thought it would be funny to see how hard he could tug on your pigtail. After filling his shoes with sand you two became inseparable. Years later in your last year of junior high Suna was scouted by the coach of the Inarizaki High volleyball boys club in Hyogo. It was a great opportunity for him but it meant you guys would be separated. Unfortunately the club you joined didn't have a way for you to be recruited and even though your grades were good they weren't good enough for your parents to pack up and move all the way to Hyogo.
For your entire last year of junior high you mentally prepared to say goodbye to Suna until your mom's job decided to transfer her to Hyogo. Eventually your family moved to Hyogo, with a promise to the Sunas to take care of their eldest son, and thus your high school story began only it's not going the way you hoped. Suna was still your only friend and it seemed all your classmates knew each other since junior high leaving no room for you to shoot through the ranks. The bell rang interrupting your thoughts and your teacher dismissed your class to lunch.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
After a boring lunch period your next class felt like it dragged on. So far your dream to take over high school seemed more and more impossible to achieve. Maybe if you joined the right club some magic might just happen. The big question now was which club would you join. You were a woman of many talents but none great enough to make you the star of a club. Cooking club would give you the chance to perfect your recipes but cooking wasn't something you enjoyed to do. Maybe one of the sports clubs? Definitely not. Was there anything else to do?
Before long the school day ended and it was time to either head to your club's first meeting or go home. You turned to ask Suna if he wanted to stop at the convenience store before going home until you saw him loosening his tie. Right the volleyball club had its first meeting today so you'd have to go home alone today.
"Don't look so disappointed. I'll save all my homework for you to do." Suna said looking at you.
"Whatever Rintaro! What do I have to be disappointed about?!" you huffed and picked up your bag to leave.
"Don't get lost on the way home." Suna chuckled and watched you leave before leaving for the gym.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
"Stupid Rin. I got lost one time. And what the hell would I be disappointed about? If anything he should be disappointed he won't have company to walk home with later today. I should go to bed before he gets home too." You grumbled while trying to find the school's gate. "Maybe it's in the other direction. Man this school is huge."
Up ahead you saw a guy with brown hair going in the opposite direction. Maybe he knows the way out of this school.
"Excuse me? Do you know which way the gate is?"
The boy stopped and at looked at you funny. "Keep going straight and you'll see it."
"Thank you." you bowed and continued going in the direction he told you. After taking ten steps you stopped and gaped at who was in front of you. The exact same guy was walking towards you again. You looked behind you quickly but the guy from before had disappeared already. Was it a daydream or did you finally lose it?
"Something wrong?" The guy stopped in front of you. "Are you lost or something?"
"I'm sorry but didn't you just tell me how to find the gate less than a minute ago?" you asked.
The guy in front of you looked confused until a look of understanding crossed his face. "I doubt it was me but keep going straight and you'll find the gate."
You thanked the guy once again at least you think it's the second time and finally made it to the gate to leave for the day.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* The next day in class you remembered the run in you had after school the previous day and turned to ask Suna about it.
"Hey Rin this may sound crazy but I got directions from the guy twice yesterday."
Suna pouted trying to figure out what you were talking about. "You asked the guy to repeat himself?"
"No he helped me then I walked away and all of a sudden he was in front of me again and gave me directions again." you explained.
"So he chased you? Wow the year just began and you already got a guy to fall for you. Nice work (y/n)-chan. What do you plan to do with this new found information?" Suna asked with amusement in his voice.
"You are the worst human to walk this planet I swear. I'm serious. Maybe I accidentally walked in on someone's prank or something. I hope it wasn't recorded." you huffed.
Suna shrugged and checked his phone for new notifications, "Who knows. Maybe that was your ticket to popularity you were looking for. Did you pick a club yet or are you gonna let our homeroom teacher do that?"
"I don't wanna think about clubs right now. I can't think of one I wanna join. Help me find one. Please?" you put on your best puppy eyes and begged. Maybe for once he'll take mercy on you.
"Why should I? Just join the music club. You did it in Jr. high. I'm sure you can survive three more years." Suna said not looking at you.
"I would prefer if I didn't have to go through all of that again. I expected music club to be about music not how much spit I could clean out of a tuba." you shuddered remembering the unspeakable things you went through in music club.
"Don't do this to me (n/n). The stories were the highlight of my day. You gotta do it again for the fate of mankind." Suna gave you the saddest look he could produce before he laughed at how ridiculous he thought he looked. "Anime joke. I don't know what to tell you princess. I haven't picked a club since we left elementary. Why don't you see if one of the sports clubs needs a manager."
"Rin you're a genius! Does the volleyball club need a manger? I promise I won't screw up."
Suna stared at you with a deadpan expression and sighed. "Remember when I went to visit family one summer break and asked you to watch Bubbles? I came back and we all attended a fishy funeral that same day. Or when I asked you to pick up Asami because I couldn't and I came home to my parents yelling at me because she called them crying cause nii-san forgot her? I could go on but I think you get the picture. I don't trust your promises anymore."
"Yeah but Bubbles was a special case. Who knew he'd eat until he burst if I put all the food in the tank? He was suppose to eat it little by little. And I apologized to you and your that entire year and you guys forgave me. Bottom line is I was young and dumb, now I'm a high school student and I've learned a lot in my fifteen years of life. Just talk to the coach and see what he says. I could probably really help you guys."
Suna sighed for the umpteenth time and ran a hand through his bangs. "It's not really the coaches I'm worried about. I met some of our upperclassmen and some of the third years are kinda intense."
You frowned at his tone and tried to think of what they could've done to him. "i'm sure they're not as bad as you're making them sound. Maybe you need to look at them from a different angle."
"I doubt it. There were two first years that made me question my sanity. If they weren't fighting they played really well together. There was one other first year that could already do jump serves. The entire team is pretty good. Looks like it's gonna be an interesting year for volleyball. I hope I get to play in some official matches." As the last sentence left his lips Suna's eyes widened and he turned to look at you so quickly you almost thought he'd get whiplash. "You didn't hear that."
"Oh that's what the problem is. I'm sure you'll get to play in some matches and if you don't then there's no way the team is going to nationals." you smiled at him.
Before Suna could respond the bell rang signaling lunch was finished.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*
At the end of the day you followed Suna to the gym.
"Remember it's not a guarantee. We don't have a manager and Coach Oomi does what you would do." Suna reminded you when you were almost at the gym. "Talk to coach Kurosu he's the head coach and old enough to be our father so if you ware him down enough you might just get the position."
"Alright. I can definitely do this." You sounded more confident than you felt but there was no turning back now.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Hello sorry it took so long for this part to be uploaded but it's here now. Hopefully you enjoyed this and the next chapter comes out sooner than this one did. Until then don't hesitate to let me know what you think or if you just wanna say hi I don't bite I promise.

After. (Iruka x Kakashi)
Rating: T
Summary: In which Tenzo asks Kakashi what he plans to do after he retires.
A/N: Written for KakaIru Month ( @kakairu-fest ) Day 5 Prompt: Retirement
ao3 link
“Senpai,” Tenzo says pensively, moving closer to the campfire, “Have you ever considered what you are going to do…after?”
Kakashi looks up from the open book in his lap, “After? Do you mean after this mission?”
They have set up their camp for the night in a small forest in the north of the Land of Earth. In the morning, they will continue on their way to Hyougagakure, but right now, they both need rest. The autumn air is full of bitter chill, and Kakashi shifts uncomfortably, clenching and unclenching his stiff fingers to get the blood flowing to them.
“No,” Tenzo shakes his head, bringing his hands closer to the fire, “I meant the after after. Have you ever thought of what you’d do once you retire as a shinobi?”
The question catches him off guard.
“I’ve never given it much of a thought,” Kakashi says after a momentary hesitation, “And, given our line of work, I suppose it’s awfully optimistic to plan for any kind of future.”
“It’s nice to have something to look forward to,” Tenzo looks up at Kakashi.
“Maa, Tenzo, I never thought you were a dreamer,” Kakashi replies as a slight smile tugs at his lips.
Tenzo shrugs and turns his attention back to the fire.
“Well, now that you’ve mentioned it,” Kakashi continues, “I’m curious. Let’s hear what you are planning to do when you retire as a shinobi?”
Silence falls upon them for a moment.
“I like building things,” Tenzo speaks slowly, as if weighing every word, “So I would like to help with the expansion and renovation of the village. I think that would be a worthy purpose.”
Kakashi smiles, but his chest feels heavy. Tenzo’s dream is selfless and humble, and yet even this dream might be too hopeful for the likes of them. After all, shinobi rarely live to see their advanced years.
Kakashi learned long ago that dreaming is a frivolous folly – back when he was a child still and thought that he’d get to one day grow old side-by-side with his teammates, Rin and Obito. <em>How did <em>that</em> dream work out for him?</em>
He wants to tell Tenzo just that – but when he looks up, Tenzo’s face is so peaceful and content that the words die in his throat.
“It’s a nice dream,” Kakashi says, instead.
Tenzo quietly hums in response, and they fall silent for a while.
The hour’s getting late, and Kakashi plans to take the first watch. However, before he has a chance to speak, Tenzo looks at him.
“I’ll take the first watch, senpai,” Tenzo says, “You should get some rest.”
“Make sure you actually do wake me up this time,” Kakashi frowns, “You also need to rest.”
“Of course,” Tenzo nods.
Kakashi gets up from his seat and walks over to his tent. Crawling in, he settles on his bedroll and tries to relax, despite the cold, but sleep doesn’t come.
Tenzo’s question weighs heavy on his mind.
Have you ever considered what you are going to do after after?
He has, of course. It feels silly to dream, knowing that their lives are so uncertain, and yet he cannot stop himself. As much as he tried to quash any hopes for the future, a part of him cannot help but dream.
Dream that one day he will be a brave, worthy man and will finally be able to tell Iruka of his affections – and that Iruka will return his feelings. In these naïve dreams, Iruka always tells Kakashi that he loves him too and that he’s been yearning to be together as much as Kakashi has – and then kisses him, deeply, ardently, desperately, as if trying to make up for all the lost time. They then retire from active duty shinobi work – Iruka probably would still teach at the Academy, Kakashi knows how much he loves it – and get married.
Kakashi isn’t sure what he’d do once he was no longer on active duty – after all, he’d been a shinobi his entire life, he knows no other way – but, with Iruka’s warm presence at his side, he’s certain that he’ll figure it out. And even if he doesn’t, being just Iruka’s husband sounds quite enticing.
In Kakashi’s dreams, they live a long life and grow old together, happy and in love.
A bitter smile blooms on Kakashi’s lips.
Perhaps, it was Naruto’s optimism rubbing off on him, making him covet the unattainable.
Kakashi knows his dream will never come to pass. He’s too much of a coward to tell Iruka how he feels, and, even if he wasn’t, what good would his confession do? He is a very broken man, and Iruka deserves much better. He deserves someone who could be open and honest about his feelings, instead of concealing his emotions for years, someone who isn’t as desperately traumatized and hung up on the past as Kakashi.
What could he offer someone like Iruka, someone so full of love and life?
Kakashi knows he’ll never breathe a word of his affections, and so his dreams will never come to pass. There will be no desperate love confessions, no lavish wedding, and no retirement. They’ll never grow old together.
There will be no after after.
He stifles bitter laughter – it’s very likely that he won’t grow old at all. After all, it’s a miracle he has survived this long.
Kakashi thinks about Iruka – of his radiant smile, his warm dark eyes, and his bright laughter. He hopes Iruka, at least, will live a long and happy life - even if it is with someone else, and that this someone could give Iruka all the things Kakashi never could.
Still, a small part of his heart wonders if it’s not too late. What if there is still time? What if they could still have the happy life he dreamed of? If he tells Iruka when he’s back at the village…
As he falls into the slumber, Kakashi chases away the thoughts. The memory of Iruka’s soft smile and happy laughter is enough to endure without Kakashi’s lingering regrets. He knows too well that it does no good to covet the unattainable – and, yet, despite himself, he still does.
In his dreams, he is haunted only by Iruka’s face.

my whole entire thing is literally always to rewrite things that upset me, so here's a very quick re-doing of trashahime, from someone who hasn't watched it.
Moroha can stay, though. I know nothing about her but she deserves the world.
What I know about yashahime is entirely from tumblr and the wikia. I haven't watched it. So here's what I've gathered:
towa and setsuna were basically abandoned in a forest at the tender age of four, and left to fend for themselves as it was lit on fire by one of the bad guys??? and towa fell down the well and into sota's care.
towa somehow passed as human despite not looking human for like 14 years, and decided to abandon her adoptive family in favour of her twin sister.
there's also the unsavoury parts I won't bother mentioning.
the enemy is some woman who loved sesshomaru's dad apparently, named 'zero'??? I think? and she wants to make Sesshomaru's entire family suffer?
rin is in a tree and jaken used some butterfly to save her, but the butterfly took setsuna's memories or some shit?
so here's my version. there's no sesshomaru ship unless you count jaken being there.
TOWA
Towa and Setsuna are half-demon toddlers that Sesshomaru finds, either abandoned or orphaned. It's unclear which, as they're too young to remember.
With all his child-collecting tendencies, he takes them in, especially since his human daughter takes to them. One day, however, Sesshomaru leaves them with Jaken to babysit.
Jaken is overcome by one of the antagonists and A-Un and Jaken, in an attempt to fight, accidentally light the forest on fire.
While A-Un and Jaken are busy fighting, Towa and Setsuna attempt to escape like they're told, but quickly become separated. Hence the plot.
Towa falls into the well while she's being chased by a demon, and due to being a half-demon, ends up in Sota's care. But when morning comes, Towa is human.
Towa switches between her human form during the day, and her half-demon form at night, however, she hasn't really noticed what she is because she's usually sleeping when she turns.
When she wakes up from a nightmare about her past, she goes to the well to prove it was just a dream, and climbs down it.
She's surprised to discover it was a memory when she looks up and sees the night sky. Upon climbing out of the well, she finds herself in a forest.
SETSUNA
After being separated from her sister, Setsuna passed out due to smoke inhalation.
Kirara took her to Kohaku, who recognized her as Sesshomaru's newest daughter. Setsuna, however, didn't seem to recognize the name, or have any memories whatsoever.
(This was due to the butterfly subplot, more on that later.)
Kohaku searched for Sesshomaru to reunite them, and for Rin, Jaken or Towa, but found none of them. He figured that Sesshomaru would sniff out Setsuna sooner or later, however, so he let her stay in the village they were slowly rebuilding.
Around that time, Sango had officially moved back into the village alongside her husband and children.
KAGOME & INUYASHA
Zero, having been in love with Inuyasha's father, targeted him and his entire family. Inuyasha and Kagome sent Moroha away to the safest place they knew. Shiori's village.
Shiori had learned to use her half-demon powers to create barriers, an innate skill. However, Hachi was interrupted before he could transport Moroha there, and she was captured by an enemy wolf demon and given to Jyūbei, where she was raised.
Kagome and Inuyasha were sealed in a Black Pearl with virtually no way out, kept safe by Sesshomaru, who seeks to free them so they can help him in his battle against Zero, who has done something that's slowly killing Rin.
Miroku and Sango have been balancing parenthood with trying to save their friends and find Moroha, but it's a challenge without Inuyasha's keen sense of smell.
MOROHA
Before being sealed away, Inuyasha commissioned a sword for Moroha to protect her. The Kueiga (紅衛牙 "crimson protection fang" provided I did this right) forged from one of Inuyasha's fangs by Totosai.
A wolf demon, Yawaragi, mentored her during her youth, and she considered her to be the closest thing to a parent she had. But unbeknownst to Moroha, Yawaragi was the one who stole her in the first place.
RIN
Rin is the adopted human daughter of Sesshomaru, and to a lesser extent, Jaken. The human sister of half-demon twins Setsuna and Towa.
When Zero sought to seek revenge on Sesshomaru's entire family, he targeted Rin first as the weakest. She is currently sealed in a tree to prolong her life, as Sesshomaru seeks to undo what Zero did, as well as saving his brother + sister-in-law and finding his youngest adopted half-demon children and perhaps, his niece.
The butterfly thing Jaken did, that had to attach to someone close to Rin? He didn't have an option on who to choose, it picked randomly.
Main Story
Setsuna and Towa reunite and begin travelling together, reluctantly, to find out the truth about their pasts. Setsuna has her doubts, but doesn't wish for her twin sister to be killed, when her sister only has powers at night.
Hisui, Sango's son, insists on travelling with them in order to keep them safe, carrying about his friend Setsuna. Alongside Kirara (and Myoga, who had been living off of Setsuna as the only available descendant of Inuyasha's father) they run into Moroha.
The only one who recognizes her is Kirara, who is quick to take to Moroha. Moroha, being a cat person (taking after her father), is eager to pet Kirara.
Myoga recognizes Moroha, and insists she's the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome. Moroha is apprehensive, knowing nothing about her parents. Upon discovering she's supposedly just met her cousins, however, she's intrigued.
She agrees to travel with them on a search for truth, and the mystery of their missing parents and Setsuna's missing memories.

Precure Day 178
Episode: Yes! Precure 5 30 - “Milk’s Resolve and Everyone’s Power!” Date watched: 5 April 2020 Original air date: 2 September 2007 Screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/bzG8Kza Transformation Gallery: https://imgur.com/a/6k6SzS0 Project info and master list of posts: http://tinyurl.com/PCDabout

when all their brooches glow you know you’re in trouble
You should know by now that episode 30 correlates to a fairy-driven powerup of sorts.
FWPC: Porun and the Rainbow Braces
Max Heart: Lulun and the Heartiel Brooch
Splash Star: Moop & Foop and the Crystal Communes
Well, this is no different. Sure, they technically already used Precure Five Explosion once, to defeat Girinma, but they didn’t fully understand their abilities at that time. In this episode, we get the first full combining sequence of the Symphony Set and Milk to create the giant saucer that they fly on.
The Plot
Nozomi and Milk are squabbling as usual, this time because Milk ate some chocolate that Nozomi bought for herself. Which is rude, by the way, don’t do that. Nuts has everyone sit down and try to work things out. While they’re there, the other girls ask Milk what being an apprentice caregiver entails, and she explains that she had to learn about the Palmier Kingdom’s politics, economics, culture, history, and everything else about the kingdom. After some potshots from Nozomi, Milk fires back by saying she doesn’t want to entrust the future of the Palmier Kingdom to someone with no dreams and therefore that Nozomi fails at being a Precure.
Tumblr media
Nozomi is stunned by this.
Over in Nightmare, Arachnea confronts Kawarino and demands a black mask like he gave to Girinma. He warns her about the side effects of losing her free will but she insists, and he gives her one, commenting on her impressive resolve. After she leaves he has a horrifyingly evil grin on his face, and Bunbee, who saw the whole thing, looks on with concern.
Tumblr media
The next day, at Natts House, the others explain to Coco that Nozomi went straight home from school and he confirms to them that Milk is still hiding in her room. Karen decides to go talk to her, and admits to Milk that Nozomi is able to allow people to be honest with themselves and inspire the best in them. She really admires Nozomi’s skills at bringing people together and is grateful to her for pulling her out of her loneliness. She goes on to explain that she herself has no dream for her future, and neither does Rin, and that she admires people like Urara and Komachi who have already figured out their dream, as well as Nozomi and Rin, who are living in the moment while they figure it out. She encourages Milk to be more honest with herself and make amends with Nozomi.
Meanwhile, Nozomi shuts herself in a room and takes off her Pinky Catch, thinking maybe she really does fail as a Precure.
On a rooftop overlooking Natts House, Arachnea is preparing for her attack when Bunbee shows up and asks her not to use the black mask. She ignores him and charges in with ferocity. When Rin, Urara, Komachi, and Karen realize Arachnea is outside, they confront her and transform. They try to fight her but she turns their attacks back on them, grabbing Rouge and Aqua as they try to charge her and throwing them into Lemonade and Mint, knocking them all over. She steals the Dream Collet from Nuts and brags about how simple this was. Milk latches onto her arm, like she did at Nightmare HQ in episode 24, but Arachnea just pulls her off and begins to lecture the Cures about their ineffectiveness against her. At that moment, Nozomi shows up, being alerted by the glow of her Pinky Catch. She quickly apologizes to Milk and then says that although she may be a failure as a Precure, she wants to keep fighting to make Coco, Nuts, and Milk’s dream come true and therefore she wants to continue being a Precure. In a powerful moment, she holds her Pinky Catch out in front of her, it turns back into a butterfly, and then it lands right back on her wrist, reaffirming her worth and her place in the team. She transforms and her mere presence is enough to reinvigorate her teammates, as they turn the tables on Arachnea and overpower her, proving they’re more than the sum of their parts as they recover the Dream Collet and pushing her into a corner.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Left with no other options, Arachnea finally pulls out the black mask and puts it on, mutating into a giant, monstrous version of herself.

Once again the tables turn in her favor and she throws the cures around, tossing them into buildings or the ground. The fairies stand between Arachnea and the fallen girls, who are too weak to move. Nozomi begs them to move but Milk gives a speech explaining how she trusts and is thankful for the girls’ hospitality and friendship, and that she loves Nozomi. She then says that Dream is a precious Precure to her and she wants to join her and the others. They stand up and their brooches start to glow as inspiring music starts to play. Milk latches onto Dream’s left arm and transforms into an armband, and then the glow from Dream’s brooch extends down her right arm and her Dream Torch appears. (note: when she summons it normally, it goes down her left arm) The others let the glow travel down their left arms but instead of summoning their weapons, instead they launch them into the air and they combine with the Dream Torch to form a larger baton. Dream places it on top of Milk as an armband, who infuses it with her power, and it shoots into the sky in giant size. From there, they perform Precure Five Explosion, flying straight into Arachnea and destroying her. The full sequence is below.
vimeo
Back inside Natts House, Nozomi and Milk apologize to each other. Nozomi proposes they split a chocolate bar that Milk brought to make up for yesterday’s incident, and Milk agrees, but then she quickly snatches it back at the last minute and leads Nozomi in a chase around the store. For some reason, nobody calls her out on her rudeness and instead they laugh it off as we close out on a still frame of Nozomi chasing Milk.

The Analysis
This is a fantastic episode, and despite similarities to previous Milk episodes, it actually does take her in a new direction. I had to go back and double-check. Her major character beats so far have been learning to adapt to this world, wanting to help out in battle, and now, actually wanting to be friends with all the girls (especially Nozomi). She does make progress at being sincere about her feelings.... although the ending shows she still has a lot of innate selfishness to overcome. She loves to torment Nozomi and it makes me sigh. But, she’s making progress. I gave crap to Porun and Lulun during their early days and I’m starting to think I was too hard on them relative to her, but, again, she’s getting better. When Milk is being sincere and earnest she’s nice to have around, and she forms an especially strong bond with Karen. We’ll see that explored in greater depth in a few episodes.
One aspect I think was CRUCIAL to both Milk’s development as a character and advancing the core theme of this show, which is dreams, is outright stating that several of the team actually do not have dreams they’re working towards right now. Really only Urara and Komachi know what they want to do. Milk says she can’t trust anyone who doesn’t have a dream to be a Precure, before Karen turns around and tells her that she herself has none, yet, and neither does Rin. Nozomi became a Precure to help Coco fulfill HIS dream, Rin joined to protect Nozomi, and Karen joined because she wanted to help. None of them have ambitions of their own, they’re still working that out, Not knowing what you want to do but doing your best at what you can do is a really important and powerful message for the audience, and it helps Milk resolve a conflict within herself about how much the girls fight for her wellbeing without having their own ambitions.
On the literal front, Milk turning into an armband for Dream is certainly an.... interesting way to incorporate her into the sequence. As far as alternate modes for fairies go so far, it beats the laptop computer that Porun turned into but it’s not as practical as the cell phones of yore, or the human forms that Coco and Nuts can take (but she’ll get there eventually). A toy of it exists so I assume this was Bandai’s idea first and the show’s staff had to figure out how to make it work in animation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To their credit, it looks a LOT better in the show than as a toy. It’s still kind of silly looking but at least it directly incorporates the mascot into the attack in some way rather than simply dispensing the powerup.
Alas, poor Arachnea. She wasn’t my favorite villain in the show, but of the remaining crew, she wouldn’t have been my first choice for elimination (that would be Gamao). It’s unfortunate to see her go, but it was time to change things up. I like that Arachnea went to Kawarino rather than being given the black mask due to poor performance. Not that her job performance has been any better than Girinma’s was but it’s just an interesting direction. Ever since Girinma’s defeat she’s acted overconfident, like she sees this as an opportunity and has a plan. She hasn’t really acted on that idea until now, but being a go-getter and asking for the mask is a welcome change. What’s really interesting to me is that she almost doesn’t even need it. During the fight she pretty much has the girls on the ropes and considering she had the Dream Collet in her hands she could have just left right then and there, but her pride demands she defeat the girls, and that’s when Nozomi arrives and turns the tables, forcing Arachnea to put on the black mask and go full monster.
Interestingly, despite Kawarino’s apparent indifference to Arachnea’s plight, Bunbee seems genuinely concerned for her. He’s an okay boss who looks out for his employees sometimes, and having seen what the black mask did to Girinma, who he considered an old friend, he doesn’t want Arachnea to suffer the same fate. She ignores his concern but it’s a rare moment of honor among villains, and a seed for Bunbee’s eventual pseudo-redemption at the end of GoGo.
Tumblr media
I love the genuine concern on his face.
The villains have actually had their hands on the Dream Collet several times in this series, and each time their arrogance results in it slipping through their grasp. This somewhat annoys me if I’m being honest, but on the other hand it shows how ill-managed Nightmare is. Even Kawarino himself has had it in his clutches but a couple of fairies are able to steal it back with a coordinated effort. There should be an administrative review about this, everyone is doing it and it really undercuts their company’s objective. However, it shows the resourcefulness and resilience of the girls and fairies to be able to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, as we’ve seen them do over and over.
On the animation and art side of things, this episode is great. I love this shot of the spider shadow darkening the shop sign, even though Arachnea doesn’t turn into an actual spider.
Tumblr media
It’s a moment of ominous foreboding and it’s wonderful. Also, when she first makes her appearance in the fight, Arachnea’s eyes are glowing and she looks ready to kill. The fight is fluid and the action is well-choreographed, and has an important moment of mirroring before and after Nozomi’s arrival. Arachnea uses the same web attack on them both times, but before Nozmi shows up they get hit by it, while afterwards they effortlessly dodge it and run on the webs to knock the Dream Collet out of her hands. It’s the little things that make me smile.
Interestingly, I noticed a lot of Dutch angles in this episode.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A tilted camera is a film trick designed to make the audience uneasy, and it’s used very well here. I don’t often notice camerawork but this stuck out at me.
Now, on the other hand, there is a small animation error that I feel compelled to point out. It takes place during the stock animation for Precure Five Explosion, specifically the point at which the four supporting components are flying in to attach to the Dream Torch. For a few frames, the Lemonade Castanet is incorrectly colored green like the Mint Leaf, instead of the proper yellow. As it gets closer to the camera, this is fixed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(These are subsequent frames, one right after the other.)
I’m surprised that this made it into the stock footage, and wasn’t fixed for the blu ray releases I’m using for my reviews. I’ll have to see if it gets fixed in future uses.
Of course there’s also some small moments of merchandise pushing in this episode. Aside from the obvious Symphony Set, the box to hold the Pinky Catch makes another appearance, and I had to point it out because it’s very detailed.
Tumblr media
None of these points detract from the episode in any meaningful way, I just feel obligated to document them. This episode is fantastic from start to finish, it reinforces the strong bond the characters have and Nozomi’s role on the team, builds on Karen and Milk’s relationship, and moves us into the next stage of the show. It’s a great cap to the first 2/3 of the show and I can’t wait for more.
Next time, on Precure Daily: Coco is getting love letters and Nozomi doesn’t know how to feel about this. Look forward to it!
Pink Precure Catchphrase Count: 0 Kettei!

Offered to live in America with his parents. He had no real attachment to living in Japan and he kinda missed living with his parents so he did. (He promised he'd keep in contact with Makoto) It was nice for a few months, until his parents got busy again. It became exactly the same as it was in Japan, only now he was truly alone in a foreign country that he barely spoke the language to.
Makoto felt really bad. His parents heard about this and also felt bad. Makotos parents really care about Haru, and Makotos dad decided to take an opportunity to transfer jobs to San Fran. The rest of the Tachibanas agreed. (He would've never considered this but Harus situation made him want to)
So now the both live there and are gonna start high school.
Rin was in Australia and hit that wall. He was frustrated and sad. Russell and Lori really wanted to help him. They decided to ask if he wanted to go somewhere else. He did not want to go back to Japan, but they decided that he should take the option of a swimming in a program in San Fran.
He was super frustrated and angry when he came to America. He was messed up and confused and angry with himself. He got influenced by some of his roommates (some generic thugs) and he did a big stupid. (Because season 1 Rin was a big stupid) He joined the organization. (He's a big stupid who was just confused and lost in a new country and with no loving stay home parents like Russell and Lori. I love the boy but man was season 1 Rin an emotional wreak)
Haru and Rin met in the first week of high school. It was messy. Rin yelled at Haru to swim against him and he said no way. Haru didn't want to swim anymore. That pissed Rin off. They ended up having this relationship were Rin would try to approach Haru and Haru would turn him down. They were both trying to avoid their feelings about the last time they met, and how they both are really sad and messed up right now. The only thing that kept them civil was Makoto, who wanted them to work things out, and Sousuke! (Who ended up in this swimming program too. He wanted to become a great swimmer but as soon as he saw how messed up Rin was, he ended up splitting his time between training and keeping Rin out of trouble in the organization. He even signed them both into the academy program at their school. So they also balance being in the academy and the organization. Its no wonder Rin was a mess in his freshman year)
Okay, let me finally get into Rinharu. (They had such a back story man I'm sorry XD)
Sophomore year starts and Nagisa is somehow in San Fran. He mets with Haru and Makoto in the middle of the year and asks if theyre doing swimming this year. (Theyre not) He spends so much time whining at them to join the swim team with him. All the pressure from Nagisa and Rin gets to him and he joins. The first time he gets back into the water is a race against Rin before the first swim meeting. (Rin may have been doing fucked up shit, but he hasn't been slacking in the swim program) They end up being so close that they don't know who won. The competitiveness came back, but they still couldn't identify it. Swim practice began with everyone being impressed with Haru (Rin and Sousuke being the other good swimmers that they were used to) But that urge to be better than each other set in, they started to swim against each other, a lot. The tension between them faded with every race, and the tension between them was slowly fading, though they still didn't talk about how they felt, they become friendlier, they feel more like how when they were kids.
But then, one night Haru and Makoto were walking home from the library (the reason they were there was because Rei was still learning how to swim because Nagisa still dragged this boy into the swim team) They never usually walk this way at this time and they were looking for a bus stop. They hear something in an alley and just kinda look up, but quickly go in to investigate because they thought they saw a familiar face. When the went in, they saw Rin and Sousuke bloodied and ruffing up some guy they didn't know. They didn't know what was happening but they did recognize the symbol on the jacket Rin was wearing.
Haru and Makoto were horrified. They couldn't believe what they were seeing. Never in a million years would they have thought that they had the capacity to do this. All of the good humor that built up left Haru and he angrily chewed them out, mostly Rin. He ran off, wanting nothing to do with him. Makoto chased after Haru but was also visibly upset and extremely disappointed.
Rin and Sousuke finally had a long talk with each other about why Rin was doing this, how he got to this point, and how they could ever face Haru and Makoto ever again. They also wondered how they could get out of this mess, but luckily for them, the Riku situation happened and they left with all the others. However this doesn't change much when it came to Haru and Makoto. The big relay qualifiers were coming up and they were forced to ride to Half Moon Bay together for the big race. Rin tried to talk to Haru the whole time but he didn't want to here it. They ended up fighting in the parking lot outside the competition center and Rin pinned Haru down so he could finally break down and apologize. He cried and finally told him about everything he went through. Haru was in shock the whole time. He finally reached up and let Rin cry into him. The big thing they realized is that they just wanted to swim with each other. It made them both happy. And after the all reunited inside, they pulled the relay swimming swap, and got disqualified but hugged and cried and finally the fixed their broken relationship.
Junior year rolls around and everyone is friends again. They can't wait for swim team and they all hang out all the time, and Rin and Sousuke are still in the academy so they also do that stuff too, but other than that theyre all a big happy fam! Haru and Rin are now, however, realizing their huge crushes on each other. I mean they always had crushes on each other, Rin especially when he was a child, but now that theyre friends and hanging out all the time, it feels so real. Rin starts trying to figure out how to tell Haru without screwing it up, because lets face it, he's screwed up a lot. Meanwhile, Haru has been facing all of his teachers telling him to try harder and the counselors asking him what he wants to do with his life and scouts asking for him and the SATs and his parents literally no longer coming home at all. He's become extremely anxious and a bit depressed. It wasn't clear to all his friends how bad this was all effecting him until he stopped swimming during a qualifier race with a ton of scouts. His friends tried so hard to help him out of his funk with no avail. Makoto had a talk with Rin and asked him to do anything to help Haru, and the next day, Rin came to Haru's apartment and took him to Australia. The trip goes like how the season 2 episode goes, but Russell and Lori definitely know that this is the boy Rin had a crush on all these years. Also the still have that one bed hotel room, and it was extremely awkward for them. That next day, when Rin took Haru to the pool, and Haru figured out his dream, they hugged. Rin was just so happy for him, and Haru let him, still in awe that things were so clear for him now. Then they both realized that they were hugging for a long time. And they both looked up, and they met eyes. Before they realized it, they kissed. They immediately felt something that they found undescribable, and went back to Russell and Lori. They told them that they were fated, and that they were so happy for them.
They went back to the hotel and reflected on that day. How they both felt now, and if they were both ready to go back as a couple. They started to realize how comforting each other was. They felt right. They felt, happy. They went to sleep together peacefully, for both of them the first time in a long time.
They came back happy. They discovered how nice it was to talk to each other, hold each other, and especially swim with each other. I think comfort is a key term for them, they feel a comfortableness they haven't felt since before all of this started. The water felt exactly how it did when they were kids. And everyone knew this was what was meant to happen. Rin made Haru smile. Haru made Rin soft. And they both felt the intensity when swimming, pushing them both to do better than ever.
EDIT: I know u didn't ask for specifically the ABO but its the one story we focus a lot of our Rinharu on so sorry for the ramble 🙏

A New Mage in Sabertooth
Okay guys so… we talked about Rin a lot, we talked about how she’s the youngest mage in Sabertooth, same age as Wendy… But I didn’t mention how she was accepted into the guild XD So here you have her story! This takes place during and after the Eclipse Gates arc. Trinity “Rin” Eucliffe is my OC. As before, the fanfic is a product of our RPs with @eleanor-devil , who also provided the fanart ^*^ Comments and feedback are highly appreciated!! ——— ‘I hate my luck!’ It was the first thought in the girl’s head, although she had arrived to the past on the same day as Future Rogue, she had had trouble finding the Sabertooth members as she initially planned. The security around the hotels of each participating guild in the Grand Magic Games was really tight and from what Rin had been able to understand, on the day she had arrived, the previous Master was still in power… not that she knew much about him except that he wasn’t a good person, so she decided to wait for the best moment to reach the members… mainly, the White Dragon Slayer. Through hiding and sneaking, Rin had watched most of the events of the Grand Magic Games play out while she tried to devise a plan to get close to the headquarters of Sabertooth… she had even watched the battle of the Twin Dragon Slayers of Sabertooth against Natsu and Gajeel of Fairy Tail… and then the day of the finals arrived, the one day she had decided to sneak into the Domus Flau and watched the event until the very end, including her father’s - well okay she knew he wasn’t her father here, not really - unexpected surrender, thus leading to Fairy Tail’s victory. And now here she was, trying to escape baby dragons that came from god knows where! 'I just wanted to talk to him, is that too much to ask??!’ Apparently it was. Rin shot another attack at the dragons chasing her but it only hit one, the girl sweated, she wasn’t going anywhere like this. She suddenly was forced into a halt when more dragons appeared in front of her “Crap!” Time came to a stop for the little girl. All her training, the new techniques she had learned through all those seven years… they all accounted for nothing as Rin kept staring at the dragons and the light beams that were starting to form around their mouths. Was this it then…? Was she supposed to just die here, like her life meant nothing at all? Not even remotely close to accomplish what she came here for, and it hadn’t been even a week… No matter how much she prepared, how much she learned to fight, she wasn’t ready for something like this. She was going to die on her birth date, and not even one person would know who she was, what her dreams were… Lost in her disappointed thoughts, it didn’t register to the kid that there were hurried footsteps reaching her. Not until she heard an urgent voice. “Kid, duck!” She didn’t need to be told twice. Out of pure instinct, Rin fell to the floor, raising her arms over her head and closing her eyes tight, just as a blinding white light surrounded the whole area. When she dared to raise her head again, the little dragons were no more, although the roars and screeches told her that she wasn’t completely out of danger. “Hey, kid are you okay?” Now realizing that the voice sounded… very, very familiar… Rin raised her head to meet a pair of indigo eyes, and her own green ones widened as an incredulous look took over her expression. He was standing in front of her, looking mighty and protective as his shadow completely covered the girl’s body, his eyes penetrating into her own, although there was a frown on his bruised face. The wind blew and Rin’s blonde hair moved along with it. 'Dad…?'
Tumblr media
His voice again snapped her out of her thoughts. “Why are you staring at me like that, kid?"
But before she could even answer, a piercing roar soared through the skies and she saw Sting’s expression turn into a startled one as he quickly made his way to the girl. Rin only had time to see a giant dark red dragon flying in their direction as Sting put her under his arm, holding her by her waist and tightly against his own before leaping into the fastest run of his life.
"Is that a giant dragon!?” Rin exclaimed, panicking at how close the creature was to them.
“Undoubtedly!” she could hear the panic in his voice.
“Why is it following us??”
“Uuuh…” Oh no, she knew that tone, she saw him looking behind them as he continued running. “I… might’ve pissed it off?”
His answer was so casual that Rin thought she had heard it wrong. “You what?!?” They turned into a corner and Sting’s face enlightened.
“Oi Rogue!!” Rogue…? Where…?! “What the hell are you doing standing there?!”
It could’ve been an almost comical scene - the black haired man just a few paces ahead turning to face them, his expression first of a relief, then of shock when he saw they didn’t come… alone. “You brought it here?!”
What was almost weirder was that despite being bruised, despite looking like he had just been trampled by horses (or well, apparently dragons), Sting was laughing.
But the girl’s gaze was locked on the Shadow Dragon Slayer. Rogue… he didn’t entirely look like the man she once called uncle though, not really. He lacked the features that had defined her uncle once… this was undoubtedly the Rogue from the past.
Noticing her glare on him, the Shadow Dragon Slayer finally noticed the kid and did a double take. “What… are you nuts?!? Why did you bring a kid here?!”
“She had to tag along,” Sting set the girl down quickly before taking an offensive stance. “Kid - run away - or take cover - do something but just stay out of the way!”
Without giving the Twins much of a break, the two huge dragons went in for an attack.
Despite not trusting at all the past self of the Shadow Dragon Slayer, Rin couldn’t help but see, as she found safe a hiding spot, how amazing and in synch the so called Twin Dragon Slayers were with each other; she had to admit that it was an amazing sight to see. Back in her timeline…the Twins were no more, having separated for reasons unknown to the girl as it had happened when she was just a toddler and thus held no memory of it, although they were still in the same guild…
Whatever the reasons…they would lead to that fateful and horrible day.
When suddenly and mysteriously the two dragons disappeared, apparently along with the other five that were terrorizing Crocus, Rin was taken by the two Dragons Slayers into a safe place… and despite Sting bidding her goodbye, Rin had promised to herself that she would find another way, not just to see him again but to be wherever he was.
That promise soon beared fruits, when a few days later the blonde girl managed to sneak inside the Mercurius Palace where she found out all the guilds that had participated in the Games were celebrating, having been invited by the king himself.
She made sure that nobody was in the dressing rooms and then sneaked inside one of them, stealing one of the smallest dresses she could find and some extra jewelry; it wasn’t anything big, Rin wasn’t used to that many fancy parties and she preferred to dress in clothes that allowed her to move freely but this was all to see and find her father again, she would do anything that was needed.
Now perfectly blended with the mood of the party, Rin made her way towards the ballroom… but eventually figured out that she had no idea where the ballroom was…
That, coupled with the fact that Rin was feeling uneasy in that dress despite her own pep talk - she would give anything for her outfit now -, made it so that she wasn’t looking at where she was going for a moment. She bumped into someone - no, two people! - walking right in front of her and after some squealing, was horrified to see them falling to the ground.
“Oh! Oh god I’m so sorry!” She quickly mumbled, kneeling down beside them to help. “It’s my fault, I wasn’t watching where I was going…!”
It was then that the two girls finally looked up at her. A silence followed, albeit a short one.
“Hello,” the blue haired girl said sincerely, a soft smile already on her lips. She didn’t look any older than herself. “Nothing to worry. Are you new here? My name is Wendy. Wendy Marvell.”
“And my name is Cheria Blendy.” The pink haired girl also said. “Nice to meet you, umm…?”
Wendy? The name sounded familiar somehow, but the girl couldn’t remember why. Instead, she just smiled to them as well. “My name is Trinity…” she caught herself before she went too far. “…just Trinity. Nice to meet you too.”
“Trinity huh?” the pink haired girl grinned. “That’s cool but not a very common name now is it?”
“Cheria,” Wendy scolded her friend, earning a confused look from the Wind God Slayer. “Don’t be rude…!”
“But I wasn’t rude!” Rin giggled at the two girls, she hadn’t taken it the wrong way at all, she was actually used to people finding her full name a bit… out of the ordinary.
“It’s fine, don’t worry about it,” answered the blonde girl “You can call me Rin if you want to.” Then she looked around confused before sweat dropping and looking back at the two girls. “Um… do you know where the ballroom is…? I think I might be lost…”
“Oh we’re heading there too! We just went to the bathroom.” Both girls took Rin’s hands in their own and led her towards the giant room where the party was being held, the blonde girl was mesmerized by all the decorations and lights, she had never seen such a beautiful place. Then she looked at the table full of food and… her eyes shone brighter than the diamonds on everyone’s jewelry.
“Strawberries!!” Before Cheria and Wendy knew it, the blonde girl was stuffing two plates full of strawberries and her mouth as well, the two young mages couldn’t help but laugh at the sight, it was clear what Rin’s favorite food was. Then yet another familiar voice reached the girl’s ears.
“Wait!” Rin turned her head towards the center of the ballroom, she saw not only Sting and the remaining Sabertooth members but also three other women whom Rin recognized from photos as two members of the Fairy Tail guild and… one member of Sabertooth that she never got to meet personally, Yukino-san. She noticed how Yukino was holding her dress and her back turned to Sting, as if she had intentions to leave. “I’m sorry… I didn’t realize you were here. Master and Milady have gone missing… we’re going to start over, we’re gonna remake Sabertooth from the ground up!” Rin blinked confused, what was happening?
Even more surprising were Sting’s words and what seemed to be a sincere apology “We were…far from kind to you. But…I want to build a guild that treasures its comrades!” It was surprising for the ball attendants because they had never seen any Sabertooth members (or yet alone, a Master of said guild) be humbled like that, but for Rin, well, this was the first time she had seen an… ashamed look on her father’s face, younger or not.
Rin noticed Yukino finally turning around to face the members but she didn’t stare too long at the blond, her brown eyes drifting back to the floor. “Why are you telling me this..?"
Sting’s ashamed look was then replaced with a firm one as he said “Because I would like you to come back… although that’s probably too much to ask.” Wait, so Yukino-san wasn’t a member of Sabertooth? What was going on here? What had happened between them? Rin was sure that, at least according to her father, Yukino-san had always been part of the Sabertooth family..
Rin wanted to ask about that to her new friends but just then, an argument broke out… first between Sting and Kagura from Mermaid Heel but soon drawing every other strong guild in Fiore, a competition about which guild should accept Yukino as their newest member.
When even the other Masters got involved, Wendy couldn’t hide her anxiety anymore. “What should we do?!” she asked to no one in particular, watching the scene unfold with worry in her eyes.
Cheria, on the other hand, had an amused look on her face. “That’s love for you.” Then she turned to the blond girl. “That reminds me, Rin, which guild do you belong to?”
The girl smiled brightly, not even hesitating. “I’m from Sabertooth.”
“Huuuuh??” Both of the girls couldn’t help but exclaim as total silence fell upon those around them too. Then, at the same time, murmurings began to spread like wildfire. Did they hear it right?! Had the almighty Sabertooth accepted a child mage?!
Suddenly the whole fight in the ballroom came to a stop, all eyes were on the blonde girl who had on her face a huge grin but was kind of blushing at having the whole attention on her now… well… what she said wasn’t exactly a lie… she had just forgotten that she wasn’t in her own reality anymore!
"U-Um…” Yukino’s brown eyes were on the girl, approaching her a little. “Is that… true…?”
Rin felt her heart skip a beat at the presence of the celestial mage right in front of her, not that the woman’s presence was intimidating or anything of the sort, on the contrary it was very comforting but the thing was… Rin had grown up admiring the woman and now here she was just a few steps away from her…
“Yes!” the girl didn’t hesitate to answer, green eyes shining. “I just don’t have my guildmark yet but that will be applied when we are back…!”
Yukino blinked, surprise overcoming her as her eyes turned to face the new Guild Master of Sabertooth. “Sting-sama…?”
Sting felt his throat grow dry and he had to gulp before he had the courage to answer. “Y-Yeah..um…it was something… recent…” The blond could feel the perplexed looks of his fellow guildmates burning right through his back, but in all honesty… he was actually going along with the lie to win the Celestial Mage back, if that meant to accept a little girl into the guild despite barely knowing her and not knowing what her magic was at all… well… so be it.
Rin silently sighed a breath of relief… everything would come crashing down if Sting didn’t back her up then. A range of emotions played on the silver haired woman’s face, she was clearly not able what to make out of this. But then she turned back to the girl with a soft smile. “Well, I’m happy for you, umm…”
“Rin,” the girl replied immediately, still a little breathless seeing her hero in person.
“Rin,” the Celestial Mage repeated. “I hope you will enjoy your time in the guild.”
“Are you part of Sabertooth as well?” the girl immediately asked the question burning in her mind, and the barely contained curiosity in her voice turned Yukino’s smile bitter.
“No, not quite I’m afraid.” Then she turned back to face Sting who was watching her with a… well, almost desperate look, her gaze turning serious. “And I’m glad the guild is apparently more… tolerant, Master. But this is not an easy decision that I intend to rush. Now I would like to enjoy the party as it is.” Then she turned to the representatives of the respective strong guilds of Fiore, slightly bowing to them. “Thank you very much for your offers too.”
With that, the   of the spectacle started dying down, everyone deciding to give the girl a break. “Huh… that was unexpected.” Erza, one of those closely watching the exchange said. “Way to go Master Sting.”
“Yeah. Right.” Needless to say, not very proud of the outcome… the White Dragon Slayer spent most of the rest of the ball pouting.
The night continued but the surprises weren’t over, everyone was surprised when suddenly Natsu appeared in the ballroom dressed in none other than the king’s clothes, even wearing his crown! Despite the demands of the real King Toma for the Dragon Slayer to give back his crown, Natsu laughed and declared everyone as his subordinates from now on.
Of course that all turned out to be a joke in the end.
The next day soon came and the participating guilds started to leave Crocus little by little to return to their respective guilds. Despite most of the members having left early in the morning, the four remaining representatives of Sabertooth were all recovering from a massive hangover (including the new Master who aside from pouting decided that he should drink to forget), therefore they only had their things all packed when it was almost evening. What Sting didn’t expect (or remember actually) was to see the same blonde girl from the day before… apparently waiting for the guild members at the train station.
“Hi everyone!” the girl greeted all of the members cheerfully, while she received… nothing but blank stares. She had only a small backpack that was half-slung over her shoulder, which seemed to be… heavier than what she could reasonably carry.
“Uuuh…” Sting didn’t know where to start. It was mesmerizing how this kid could talk to all of them like she had known them for a while… well, she probably wouldn’t be so relaxed around them if she knew how they were back… a few days ago. “What… are you doing here kid?”
“It’s Rin.” the girl said in all honesty and she tilted her head to the side.“What else? I’m coming with you back to the guild, of course.”
The Master put his two fingers between the bridge of his nose, he really didn’t need this with his growing headache… not to mention the fast approaching train ride, which he didn’t want to think about. “No, you’re really not.”
“I’m afraid I am.” the girl sounded so cheerful and proud of herself. “It would raise questions if Sabertooth left its… most recent member behind, y'know.”
“If my memory serves right… you did accept her as a member.” Rufus, as always, really wasn’t helping things.
“I second that, I heard it loud and clear.” And of course Orga wasn’t helping either… “Or did you only say yes because of Yukino?? Cuz that’s low Sting…”
Sting turned to give a big glare at the Lightning God Slayer, if looks could kill… “That…! Ugh… just shut up and get on the train!” And he was stomping off to inside the transportation, sitting near a window with a clear pout as he crossed his arms over his chest. Rogue resisted the urge to roll his eyes.
“Yes, he is pouting because she isn’t coming back with us.” And he quickly followed to inside of the train. Orga walked to the little girl and patted her on the head.
“Sorry kid, Master’s word is final.” The other members soon followed to inside the transportation, one by one leaving the young girl behind. Sting was already feeling sick as soon as the announcement of the train’s departure sounded loud and clear, the doors were already closed and locked while he tried to relax into the seat but…
“Hey!” The blond nearly jumped out of his seat when the young, cheerful voice reached his ears again, coming right from behind him.
The new Master rounded on the girl, who still had that big smile on her face. Was she even for real?! Why couldn’t the brat take a hint already? “Get off!” he hissed, the frown on his face as deep as the girl’s annoying smile.
The child shrugged, totally unfazed. “This is a public transportation and I have my ticket.” Which was a lie but well… the guild members weren’t authorized to check on it. “So you can’t expect me to just walk off now, can you?”
“Then find another compartment!” The train’s whistle blew. “This one is reserved for Sabertooth members!”
“Oh, then I’m on the correct one. Yaaay me!”
“Why you lit-” Sting’s words were cut off immediately as the train started to move down the track… His skin immediately turning to a shade of green, the blond brought both hands to his mouth, trying not to puke whatever he ate all over the train car. The hangover really wasn’t helping, either.
To his further chagrin, the girl took out a paper bag from her backpack. “Here, use this.”
Orga was apparently impressed. “Clever thinking, kid. Do you get sick often too?” Sting groaned, but not out of the motion sickness. He wanted to tell his green haired friend off for getting… almost friendly with the kid. And the girl just shrugged again.
“Nah, not me. But I knew someone who got sick all the time.” Then she looked pointedly at the Master. “You’re welcome.”
Another groan. “Get… lost…”
Rin shrugged yet again. “Fine, if you want to dirty all of your clothes with your puke, I can live with that.” She was about to put back the paper bag inside her backpack but Sting’s hand was faster than her own and snatched it away, putting the bag right against his mouth. Funny enough at the same time, Rogue practically flew from his seat and forced the window open as the same motion sickness was getting to him. Rufus and Orga could only grimace at the… greenish moisture that was coming from the Dragon Slayer’s stomachs.
“So let’s talk about my guildmark! I want it on my ankle and um… white… no pink! I love pink so it’s gotta be that color!”
“Uh… kid I don’t think it’s the best time to be talking about that stuff…” Orga winced again as he heard another big “blergh” coming from both the Dragon Slayers. “He isn’t in the best shape right now.”
“Oh, he will be fine.” She was more than used to that kind of motion sickness.
“You… aren’t…” and green skin emerged again, but Sting managed to suppress it this time. “…joining… the guild…!”
“Hmm… so mister green hair was right, you only said I could so you could win that lady back. You’re so rude!” She faked a pout. “What will the lady think if she does come back and doesn’t see me there? She will never believe you ever again!"
"Touchè.” mumbled the Memory-Make mage with a teasing grin.
Sting pretty much growled at that, this wasn’t something he needed to be reminded of, no matter if the girl had a point or not. Good god what he wouldn’t give to take back time… he didn’t want to accept this brat into the guild to begin with, now, with every passing second he was regretting having said yes at the ball more and more.
“Oh by the way I’m definitely gonna need a place to stay,” the girl continued, putting a finger under her chin - she obviously loved to talk. “I mean I have some money but I don’t think it will be enough for a rent - until I start going on jobs of course. Hey, with which one of you can I go on to missions?”
All she received were blank stares, god they were even having trouble keeping up with the speed of her talk. And yet the girl still didn’t seem to be fazed as she continued on. “Oh and are there a lot more members in our guild?!”
“Can… you…” Sting pulled the paper bag back down a little, closing his eyes for a moment in a bid of patience. “…just keep your… mouth… shut… for a moment?” He was tired, he was sick and yet his brain was working on full drive, formulating plans on how to ditch this kid once they reached their station. And then put tons of security in front of the guild just in case. At this point he didn’t really care what other guilds would think of them. Or rather really, he kinda wished he was the old Sting, jerk extraordinaire.
“Oh come ooon, I can’t really be annoying you too much.” No one bothered to answer that particular statement. “But okay, you know what? Just to humor you, I’m gonna do this the proper way.” Rin cleared her throat and put on her best angelic face, complete with puppy eyes. “Can I please join Sabertooth, Master?”
The answer was a loud and clear “No.” as expected but the girl obviously wasn’t going to give up that easily.
“Please…”
“No…”
“Please.”
“No.”
“Pleeeease!”
“No!”
“Please, please, please, please, please,” she continued saying the word non-stop, so much so that at some point the members were all covering their ears just so not to hear it. Meanwhile Sting continued answering to each of her pleas with a big denial, louder each time and whenever he wasn’t busy filling the now damp paper bag with more green moisture.
“SHUT UP BOTH OF YOU!” Rogue yelled while he was still hanging over the window. Lector sweatdropped while he munched on his shared food with Frosch.
“This is going to be a long ride, yes.”
“Fro thinks so too!”
And indeed it was the biggest hour and a half of the members’ lives, as the constant bickering between Rin and Sting continued without any of them ceasing - again except when the Master was puking at the paper bag or out of the window. When the train finally announced the arrival to Black Hills, every single member was ready to jump out of the transportation and race for their lives back into the guild.
“Come on,” the girl was somehow still fully energetic, so much so that she could barely stand still on her ground. “I challenge any of you for a race to the guild!” Well Sabertooth wasn’t a guild that could be easily missed, with the huge tiger statues adorning the building.
Seeing that his best friend was about to open his mouth, Rogue interrupted with a death glare. “Oppose her, start another bickering match… and I swear I will kill you.”
Before anyone could say anything this time, there was a brief flash of light and the girl was standing directly in front of Sting in a protective pose, glaring daggers at the Shadow Dragon Slayer. Rogue raised an eyebrow. “That’s a manner of speech kid.” Then he looked back up at the blond, clearly amused. “Seems like you have a protector here.”
The White Dragon Slayer just simply picked the girl from the collar of her jacket and shifted her to a side. “Yeah well, I don’t need one.”
“Come on Sting, how bad could things be if we accepted her?” Rogue continued. “Fairy Tail has Wendy, Lamia has Cheria…”
“I didn’t ask for your approval!” The black haired man was a bit taken aback by the sudden hostility in her voice. But then Rin turned with hopeful eyes towards Sting.
There was a big moment of silence.
“Okay, fine, enough already! You can come back to the guild with us!” As if he had another chance… “Just stop talking for a while… please…” he could dig his head into a pool of ice right now if that meant to end his pounding headache.
“Yaaay!!!” And with that, the little girl flung her arms around the blond’s middle in a tight hug.
“I don’t remember saying you could hug me…” Sting grumbled.
He only saw the girl grinning hugely for a minute before she jumped back and then hit him on the arm, open-palmed. “Tag, you’re it!” Without giving him another chance to reply, she took off in a high-speed sprint, leaving the guild members just… staring behind her back.
“What… did we just get ourselves into…?”
“It’s Sting-kun’s fault, yes!”
“Fro thinks so too!”

AGGRO (AG)
Vivid BAD SQUAD Adjacent Unit
A group of teenagers who have lost sight of their own dreams but have come together to discover one together.
Tumblr media
Shinonome Akito - After learning of the truth of RAD WEEKEND, lost his way and dream but wants to find something. Lyricist.
Hinomori Shiho - After distancing herself from her friends and being too scared to reach out to them again, Shiho gave up her hope to become a professional but finds herself wanting to try to express her passion in another form. Partial Composer/Beats, spray painter.
Momoi Airi - Ex-Idol who hated not being able to be on stage and only used as a TV personality. Airi is angry and wants to be able to vent her frustration in some form. Choreography.
Kusanagi Nene - No longer feeling able to chase her dream to be a musical actress, Nene finds herself in arcades to pass the time but can’t help to get this music out of her head. Partial Composer/Beats.
SEKAI: Abandoned Arcade SEKAI
Can also be called the Rage Room SEKAI
As it’s called, an old Arcade, filled with broken down machines.
Dark, the only light really being the old hanging flourescents.
Seemingly can sense the frustration of the owners, and so will ‘spawn’ new machines for them to release their anger on.
First Virtual Singers
Tumblr media
Hatsune Miku - Similar to VBS Miku. Despite being unsure of what she is doing, all she knows is that she wants to sing.
Kagamine Len - Not much of a singer but loves to express his emotions through art. He is specifically the one who inspires Shiho to do the exact same thing.
Virtual Singers
Order of Appearance (StC)
Tumblr media
Kagamine Rin - Lazy and doesn’t ever feel like singing or dancing. All she ever really wants to do is sit down and play games. Gets excited when Nene comes to SEKAI with a new game for her to play. Represents that it’s okay to take breaks. (Appears in Main Story)
KAITO - AGGRO’S ONE MAN HYPE SQUAD. A professional in his own right, he cheers on the group constantly, believing that they will be able to attain what they want. They will be able to chase and catch their dreams. If they won’t believe in themselves, he will fill that space and be their hope.
MEIKO - Angry. All the time. She’s probably the reason the machines in the SEKAI are constantly broken. Supposed to represent that it’s okay to take out your frustrations sometimes but she doesn't really do it in a healthy way. Is always shouting at someone or straight up avoids them. Always drinking from a flash - is it alcohol? Is it coffee? Is it an energy drink? Who knows.
Megurine Luka - Calm and free-spirited. The opposite of MEIKO, represents that there is another way to take out their frustration other than through physical means. Luka offers an ear to listen and a shoulder to lean or cry on. She’s the one who offers the most helpful advice when the others need it.
Subject to Change as I go on figuring out this AU more.

Heaven Is Not A Place On Earth: Outline
This is a fic I’m never going to write but I do have it outlined to 89% completion, I figured that I would share it so interested parties could have a glimpse into what could have been~
my outline is a list which contains 100+ items so be careful when you open up the post. also, warnings for adultery, murder & character deaths
1.      Mieru divines the blessed army to lead against the Academia Invasion but also Zarc’s Scourge
2.      Reiji takes Reira from their room; Mieru muses on how its strange that the Queen wanted another child in the wake of Ray’s death
3.      The three of them are then joined by Tsukikage who brandishes his teleportation ARM
4.      The four arrive at a safe place for Reiji to conduct the Monban Pierrot ritual
5.      Whilst that is happening, Mieru passes the time by doing some fortune telling in order to divine what kind of person(s) the Legendary Hero is going to be; she has some light-hearted moments imagining a musclebound hero, a charming hero, but also anxieties about a hero being malevolent rather than beneficial to the army
6.      Yuya and Yuzu are summoned
7.      Mieru is Shaken™ because she’s had dreams about Yuya and done seances, trying to contact him and realises that Yuya is her soul mate
8.      Yuya talks about how his father went missing as a child and how his father would talk to him about Marchen before he went missing; Yuzu verifies
9.      Reiji has his suspicions especially since Yuya looks very similar to a travelling magician Reiji met once as a child prior to his father’s court being dissolved and his father escaping because of war crimes
10.  Their army grows from four to six and Reiji muses about how that means there are four members left to find
11. Reiji charts a course for them when Tsukikage receives a message from his brother talking about raids happening against them; he thinks it might be related to Zarc’s Scourge
12.  (spoilers, it’s not: its Shun & Yuto)
13.  Reiji hosts a meeting with the vassals and speak with victims of the scourge; he tells Mieru to look after their “guests” plus Reira
14.  Yuya and Yuzu are treated to some assimilation in the city to help them less stand out and also equip them with the necessary means to fight in this world given that they were summoned to be soldiers
15.  Yuzu gets separated from the group; she encounters Yuto
16.  Yuya gets separated from the group; he encounters Sora
17.  Shun picks a fight with Reiji when he separates from the group
18.  They get into a fight and Reiji remembers Mieru’s prophecy regarding the hunting bird and the dove
19.  Yuzu, Yuya, and Sora all meet up
20.  Mieru is panicking but eventually regroups with the others; Sora disappears afterwards and makes Suspicious Comments about Yuzu and Yuya being so friendly with a witch
21.  Yuya gets defensive and asks why Sora would say such cruel things about the crown princess of Keldea
22.  Sora goes :0 and then >:3 in reaction to that and then excuses himself
23.  Mieru has a reaction to that probably
24.  They rejoin with Reiji again who announces that they have a bird to hunt for sport
25.  Reiji vs Shun PART TWO, HELL YEAH
26.  Reiji wins and the peanut gallery – namely Yuya and Yuzu – are gobsmacked by how powerful those little trinkets are
27.  Shun is thoroughly defanged by the match and swears his allegiances because he knows now that Reiji is unaffiliated with Academia
28.  Shun joins the Lancers
29.  Reiji decides that their next course of action will be to recruit “the nobleman” but he has no idea who that is, but he has a sneaking suspicion that it’s the one nobleman that he can’t stand because Fates is Hashtag Like That
30.  So, he organises a meeting with said nobleman
31.  And his suspicions are proven correct
32.  Some sort of Sawatari side quest begins
33.  Yuya and Yuzu get a moment to shine/use their ARMs and it turns out that shit is way harder than the pros make it look
34.  Some sort of Sawatari side quest ends
35.  Army grows to eight: leaving only the spy, the defector, and the strongman
36.  Gongenzaka side quest begins
37.  Tsukikage and Mieru get the chance to have a Big Damn Heroes Moment inside of it, probably
38.  Yuto also probably reappears at some point to go “Shun, what the fuck?” and “oh, hi Yuzu, you look really pretty today”
39.  Gongenzaka side quest ends
40.  He, Yuzu, and Yuya get along really well
41.  Their movement begins to attract the attention of Academia
42.  Thus introducing Serena who wants to prove her worth but everyone’s like “oh kitten, not now, dearest” and she resents that
43.  Serena attempts to take the head of Prince Reiji
44.  She is inadvertently intervened by Yuzu who just wants some hash tag girl time with a girl she doesn’t loathe since Mieru is really not that subtle about her crush on Yuya
45.  Serena learns that Academia is… Not Good
46.  They split up??? IDK maybe Shun chases her off or something only to go “wait, shit, was that Ruri??”
47.  Serena’s bodyguard (what’s his face) tries to find her and bring her back
48.  Serena fends him off for a while but fails
49.  But luckily, it’s Reiji’s turn (again) for a Bid Damn Heroes moment and Serena is like “oh god, oh fuck, he’s kind of hot for a skinny prick”
50.  Reiji then successfully recruits Serena
51.  And also escalates Academia into progressing the war games
52.  Whilst that’s happening, Yuya is having an identity crisis because of Yuto
53.  And then Yugo shows up and that identity crisis doubles
54.  Zarc’s Scourge begins to… be a thing
55.  Anyway, Sora sorts them out and then flees when the rest of the Lancers who are capable of fighting turn up
56.  The following day people have no idea what’s going on
57.  And to make matters worse, Reiji receives a formal invite to the War Games
58.  The date has been chosen, and he’s looking at his army and they’re all dumbasses, so he has Mieru prepare a training trip for them
59.  Implied training montage
60.  And that brings us to the date of the War Games, so they head to the location of the War Games in the Citadol or whatever
61.  Introducing Melissa Claire to the scene; she’s going to be our host for the War Games
62.  They arrive and Reiji is lowkey stressed because they’re missing a member and they have no idea what’s going on
63.  But oh hey look, Dennis is here.
64.  Flashback establishing Dennis’ relationship with Reiji and Mieru as the royal court jester of Keldea
65.  Dennis “offers” to be the extra set of hands Reiji needs and Reiji is highkey suspicious, but you know what? Adult life is already so goddamn weird, this may as well happen
66.  Mieru has a dumbass moment here probably regarding Dennis
67.  Anyway, there’s a trumpet sequence and out come Sora, bouncing and happy, eating candy, saying hello to his dear friends Yuya and Yuzu but uh oh…
68.  He’s revealed to be a part of Academia’s entourage
69.  The Professor, The Tyler Sisters, Yuri, Edo, [name], a Brainwashed Rin and Ruri also appear
70.  Melissa begins to explain how the War Games will work
The War Games will proceed until one side has lost more than half their players
Losing players are killed or treated as though they have been killed
At some point, every member of the team has to have been on the field in the duel
If a Captain (so Reiji or the Professor) loses then the War Games are over, no matter how premature but there is a ban on either of them entering the fray until at least day four.
A dice will decide which players fight and when
Environments for the duels are chosen “at random”
71.  And then she has a light bulb moment when she notices something remiss regarding Academia. Melissa points out that Academia technically doesn’t have players for the War Game
72.  The Professor smirks and says “They’re here, give them a moment”
73.  Dennis has a shifty moment
74.  Melissa declares the War Games feast open and that the matches will begin tomorrow
75.  Round 1: Sawatari vs Edo
76.  Sawatari astounds everyone and manages to win the match
77.  Round 2: Shun vs Sora
78.  Lancers win
79.  Round 3: Mieru & Dennis vs Yuri & Sora
80.  Dennis risks revealing himself to be the spy and aides Yuri and Sora by throwing the match
81.  Mieru loses and Reiji is like “oh shit, maybe I do have feelings for my fiancé, even though I have been technically cheating on her”
82.  Additionally, Reiji realises that “the spy” from Mieru’s prophecy is not a spy working for him, like he had hoped/otherwise thought
83.  Round 4: Shun and Tsukikage vs The Tyler Sisters
84.  Lancers win and the Tyler Sisters are severely punished for it
85.  Leo kills them in cold blood in front of everyone and it finally sinks in for Yuya and Yuzu that Marchen isn’t as fluffy as they thought it was
86.  Round 6: Gongenzaka vs Dennis
87.  Lancers win and Dennis, at least temporarily, kills himself off-screen but Gongenzaka finds his suicide note or equivalent
88.  Round 7: Serena vs [her old bodyguard]
89.  Round 8: Yuya & Yuzu vs Rin & Ruri
90.  Lancers win and manage to break the spell Rin & Ruri were under
91.  Shun and Ruri have a heartfelt reunion
92.  Reiji steps in before anything can happen to Rin, so she finds asylum with the lancers
93.  Rin is amnesiac now??? Maybe???
94.  Final Round: Reiji & Yuya vs The Professor & Yuri
95.  Lancers win and Reiji goes to murder Leo and Yuya is like “bitch what the fuck, you can’t kill him, he’s your father”
96.  And Reiji’s like “well I have to; he broke one of the most important laws of Keldea
97.  Reiji proceeds to kill Leo in front of Yuya
98.  Yuya goes berserk
99.  Reiji has an “oh shit” moment
100.                      Yuri, who was barely standing, also goes berserk
101.                      Reiji realises there is an unexpected element in his father’s plan: it wasn’t just total domination of Keldea and Marchen, there was something else which even Reiji didn’t know about and it’s too late now to ask him what his goal is because he’s a corpse
102.                      Yuzu manages to calm Yuya
103.                      Serena manages to calm Yuri
104.                      The War Games are over, but Reiji still needs to quell Zarc’s scourge, especially since something is Wrong
105.                      Rin tells him about Yugo and Reiji begins to wonder
106.                      Four boys; four girls: Zarc and Ray – is it all connected? Can it all be connected?
107.                      He and Mieru have a deep and meaningful on the topic
108.                      Yugo returns to plot somehow???
109.                      Stuff happens???
110.                      Final confrontation with Yu-Boys vs Yu-Girls
111.                      Ray resurrects via Reira somehow
112.                      Zarc is defeated
113.                      Relationships are somehow resolved
114.                      Happily ever after :)

The Seventh Rose - In Shades of Memory
Tumblr media
The First Rose
The Second Rose
The Third Rose
The Fourth Rose
The Fifth Rose
The Sixth Rose
@disgustcdnoisc
Nimble fingers twisted the vine to curl towards the stairway, a lone petal detaching from its bud and swaying to the floor. Soft filtered light spilled through the overhead window and painted caramel skin of the elf in a dreamy light as if he were but a statue carved from the brilliant mind of one who could see beauty in a block of marble. True that the corners of his eyes had creases like a crow’s claw, and the dimples upon his cheek seemed to grow deeper, but these days he was a matured sort of handsome, or so the elf liked to tell himself
The floorboards creaked with heavy, sleep-laden steps. He didn’t bother to see who the noise might belong to.
“Good morning, patatino,” Zevran greeted his son, a ghost of a smile tugging at his lips when the boy sighed. “I made your favorite breakfast. A bit cannibalistic, no, considering you are a little potato yourself.”
“Father,” Rinnalon groaned before letting out a long yawn. “It’s too early for your jests. And I hate when you call me that.” He must have stayed up late reviewing his scrolls again.
Turning towards the russet-haired boy, the elf sent him a quizzical look. “Father? Are we at a formal ceremony? I haven’t even brought out my good armor!  Whatever happened to  Babbo, hmm?”
“I’m not a child anymore,” the boy said, crossing his arms over his chest, his lips settling in a familiar frown. My, the elf thought, noting the way his son’s brows seemed to dip the same way his mother’s did when given unpleasant news, I wonder if Cassandra has been teaching him the art of glowering? All he needs is to master a disgusted noise and the training shall be complete.
“True. You are a young man now, Rin, but you shall always be my little patatino. Was it not yesterday when I would wake up to you and your sister jumping on my bed screaming ‘Babbo, Babbo!?’” He reminisced. The elf pressed a palm dramatically over his heart, as if his son had pierced him with a poisoned arrow and the wound had sunk deep, deep into his chest. “I am a poor man now, for my son to deny his father a simple pleasure.”
Rinnalon flushed and stared down at the wooden floorboards, his tense shoulders seeming to settle a bit. He nudged the white petal that had fallen nearby with the edge of his big toe. After a momentary silence, Zevran returned to decorating the stairwell, figuring his son would lose interest. He was surprised when the boy spoke up once more.
“Why is it always white?”
“Hmm?”
“The roses,” Rinnalon began, his voice faltering slightly. “You choose the same ones every year. They’re always white.”
The question earned a bittersweet smile. Zevran added one more rose before turning to sit upon the last step. He gestured for Rin to join him. The boy sat down, hugging his knees to his chest and staring expectantly up at his father. How peculiar it was to see a mirror of his own honey wine hues staring back at him, somber and thoughtful. Rinnalon had always been a kind boy with a quiet disposition, his nose buried deep in books, yet there was passion behind his eyes only those who took the time to know him might see. Justinia had his sharp wit and her mother’s commanding presence, while Rin carried the dreamy romantic that lived in both of them.
“Today is a special day for your mother and I.” Zevran began. “I suppose it is a day that is important for most lovers, being Valentine’s Day, but the meaning is...different for us than others.”
He reached over and tenderly cupped his chin, admiring his son’s Nevarran features. What a precious boy, to take after his mother so. “You remember what I told you and your sister about your names?”
Rinnalon nodded in response. “Yes.”
“And what did I say, patatino?”
“That they were special names,” Rin began, and Zevran could see pride swelling as the boy spoke. “That our names carried memories with them.”
“Yes, that is correct. Justinia Antonia and Rinnalon Regalyan,” the elf stated, his ‘r’s rolling with an Antivan tongue. He sighed and released Rin’s chin, a soft smile tugging at his lips. “And your first name has a special meaning for me, my love.”
“Really?”
He nodded. “Truly. Long, long ago there was….someone rather special to me.”
He hesitated, before deciding that it was time for the boy to learn the importance of his name. In truth, Zevran rarely, if ever, mentioned anything about his past in front of the children. For all they knew, he’d lived in Antiva most of his life but left to find a new adventure, stumbling upon the Hero of Ferelden and, from there, offering his services to the Inquisition. He could not bear the thought of his children knowing of the suffering he’d endured. During his youth, he’d viewed his training as a sort ‘rite of passage’, something to be proud of, but now that he was a father, now that he had little ones past the age of his first kill...no, they need not know. Perhaps someday, but today he would keep the darkness of his past tucked far away.
“She was, much like your mother, a force to be reckoned with,” Zevran stated, chuckling softly. “She would never back down from a challenge, charging head first into whatever danger might await. I cannot tell you the number of times I almost lost my head chasing after that reckless woman. But it was what drew me to her, after all.” He sighed, hanging his head. “Fiercely devoted to her cause, my Rinna. She would have changed Antiva for the better.”
Rinnalon had been leaning closer and closer as his father spoke, his gaze filled with all sorts of questions. “What happened to her?”
“Ah….well….” Zevran crumpled into himself at the question, seeming small, for the first time in Rin’s life. But the elf recovered quickly and turned his gaze back towards his son.
“At the time, we were both pawns to a game neither of us realized we were participating in. I was deceived, and the cost of my foolishness was her life.” The elf plucked at one of the roses, pulling it free from its stem. He held the rose in the light, admiring the faint tones of yellow. Scattered veins ran across each petal, like blood trails spilling across an even surface
“ I spent many years lost. It was not until I met your mother that I learned to forgive myself. Her acceptance soothed me, her love healed me.” Cupping the lone rose in his palm, Zevran brought the flower to his face, the petals soft like velvet. He took in the scent and Cassandra immediately flooded his vision. “Mama is a hero in many ways. She is the Hero of Orlais,  the Right Hand of the Divine, one of the leaders of the Inquisition. And she is the person who gave me reason to hope for a future outside of my suffering.”
Rinnalon stayed quiet as he sat beside his father, processing the new bits of information. Zevran reached out and ruffled his hair. “Both of your names carry not just the memory, but the spirit of those we loved.  Regalyan is the name of a man whom your mother loved very, very much. It would be dishonorable of me to speak on mama’s behalf, but I am certain she would love to tell you more of the man who inspired your name. Like my Rinna, he returned to the Maker’s side sooner than he should have. Mama’s heart closed up for a long time after that. Truly, it was as if our pain was one and the same. And it took meeting one another to finally heal from the scars of our lost loves.”
Zevran handed the rose to his boy, smiling as Rin handled the flower in his palms like a precious gift. “The white rose has many meanings, Rinnalon. It is often used for spiritual purposes representing purity and innocence--rather boring stuff, really. But a white rose has other meanings: it is a symbol of remembrance and new beginnings. To leave a white rose is to say, ‘I am thinking of you, always.’”
The elf placed a hand on his knee, propping himself up. He winced as his knees didn’t seem to agree with his sudden movement. Oh boy. That was going to really bother him in a decade or two. He stepped back from the stairs to admire his handiwork. The candles flickered like small beacons, beckoning him home.
“The reason why I decorate our home in white roses today is to honor the love between your mother and Regalyan and the love between Rinna and I. In a special place, Rinna stays with me. If I had not met her, I would not have appreciated Mama for all of her strength in the face of adversity, I would have overlooked the gentle heart behind the brave face she presents to the world. I would have stayed in Antiva and never met the love of my life. And so, once more, the white rose holds another precious meaning for me: a new beginning, a new life with Mama and you and Justinia. You are everything I could want in this world, Rin. You are my hopes and dreams and my future. So these roses are for you and your sister, too.”
Outside the house, he could hear the clambering of hooves as the horses and their riders headed towards the stables. Perfect timing.
“Ah, I believe that is your mother and sister returning. Shall we greet them with a grand gesture?”
Rinnalon’s face lit up. “I’d like that, Babbo.”
--
Zevran pushed open the door, welcoming the sight of his two lady loves. “My warrior women have finally returned home! I did not think my heart capable of missing you more than I already have.”
The Antivan grinned as he approached his daughter, laughing as she leaped into his arms. He spun her twice, lifting her above him. Justinia was almost at his height these days. He tried not to think about that too much. “Did you have a grand adventure, my darling?”
He placed a kiss upon her forehead and whispered in his daughter’s ears. Justinia nodded, sending her mother a knowing smile before running inside. Turning towards his wife, Zevran approached her with smooth steps, lifting his brows in an appreciative gesture. “You truly are the Maker’s finest gift, Cassandra.” He leaned forward as if to kiss her, his lips a breath away from hers. Wrapping his arms firmly around her wait, he dipped the Seeker in his arms, as if the pair were straight out of one of Varric’s novels. He grinned with the mischievous gaze of a man up to no good.
“Our first kiss was similar to this, no?” The elf chuckled, before he swept his arm underneath her legs, carrying his Nevarran beauty to the door before she could protest. “And I believe our wedding night went something like this too.”
Carrying his love inside, the masterpiece he’d been working on at long last came to life. Vines swirled across the stairway and over arched windows, white roses blooming like an audience to their love story. The air carried the scent, sweet and heady, while the candles lit up the house in their soft golden glow. From above, rose petals fluttered down like fresh snow, landing in his hair and shoulders. He glanced up and gave an appreciative wink to Rin and Justinia as they tossed the petals from above the stairwell.
Zevran met Cassandra’s gaze, studying her features one by one. Her eyes, her lips, the sharp curve of her jaw---her face was  a map that lead to a treasure he’d been searching for all his life. “Welcome home.”
I am yours, always, Cassandra. No longer a shadow, no longer a weapon for others to use or a coward who cannot embrace his own feelings. I am simply complete.
I love you, I love you.
“Happy Valentine’s Day.”

feel free to use this for whatever
All five Precures have gathered so it’s time for the final character introduction of the show (for a while), a little elaboration on backstory, and establishing our base of operations. So let’s dive in!
The Plot
Coco decides he needs a new place to stay after a close encounter with Nozomi’s mom, and at school the girls have trouble finding time to talk about Precure business without being pulled away by classmates. They still need to open the Dream Collet and awaken Coco’s sleeping friend, so they sneak into the Student Council room and do that. They bring their Pinkie Catches together and the Collet opens, and out comes a brown and tan squirrel fairy with an orange tuft of hair named Nuts!
Tumblr media
Nuts initially doesn’t trust the girls and is upset at Coco’s lack of discretion, and he remains cold and belligerent throughout the episode. On the walk home, the girls discuss their need for a new place to gather, and Karen brings up that her family has a lot of unused storage units and warehouses, so they go to check one out. They finally settle on a modestly sized house that they begin to clean up. They horse around a little, and Nuts is still moping, but he tells Nozomi how to transfer a Pinky from her Pinky Catch to the Dream Collet for safe keeping.... just in time for Girinma to show up and steal both the Dream Collet and Nuts, who has a death grip on it.
The girls chase him, and he lures them to a warehouse where he turns a pile of teddy bears into a giant teddy bear kowaina. After some banter, he realizes that Nuts is the fairy who opened the gates to the Palmier Kingdom and let Nightmare in, after he had disguised himself as an injured Pinky. Nuts manages to escape and Cure Dream insists that he didn’t do anything wrong, that Nightmare are the bad guys for preying on his kindness. The five girls all reiterate that their dream is to restore Palmier Kingdom for him, and he finally warms up to them. The cures knock out Girinma and defeat the Kowaina in a fantastic combo, and the villain retreats.

The next day, the girls visit the house again, only to find it has been completely redecorated inside and out, with signs calling it NattsHouse and filled with fashion accessories for sale. A tan-skinned blonde man approaches them, and Rin, Komachi, and Karen all crush on him a little before Coco reveals that this is Nuts’s human form. Nuts offers Coco a place to stay in the house and we end on a lovely still frame of the seven of them.

The Analysis
The need for a gathering spot is pretty mundane but it’s yet another thing that will become a trend in the franchise. You could argue that the restaurants in the FW shows served this purpose, but they would just as often meet at each other’s houses, or a park, or school, because it was easier with just the two of them. With five girls all being involved in different activities, it’s inevitable that they’re going to get pulled away from time to time when they’re at school. I appreciate that they spend an episode actually hashing this out rather than just landing on a place. There’s still some hand-waving involved, like how the heck did Nuts get all the products he’s selling in the store, how did he make custom signs overnight, things of that nature, but at least they didn’t just land in a magic library that they forget about halfway through the show.
There’s also some fun comedy involved in finding the hangout. Karen, being the rich one, brings them to a spacious warehouse, with the implication that her family owns all of the ones in the complex. All the girls agree that this is too large, which is when she brings them to the “small” storehouse that will become NattsHouse. Karen comments that it’s awfully small, which has everybody looking at her kinda shocked, and Rin points out that it’s bigger than her own house. Later, when they’re cleaning the place up, Komachi discovers a lizard and shows it to her best friend, freaking Karen out big time.

Komachi insists that it’s so adorable, and the whole gag is ripped straight out of FWPC17:

It’s a fun joke and I don’t mind them reusing it, but it’s funny since I observed previously that both Komachi and Karen have attributes of Honoka. Also it’s fun to see Karen coming out of her shell and losing her composure. It makes her seem more relatable to know that she’s so easily fussed.
On the serious side, it’s a great introduction to Nuts. He’s been built up as Coco’s best friend so you’d expect him to be kind and approachable like Coco but the first thing he does is slap Coco with his tail and berate him. Nuts is upset at Coco and doesn’t like the girls at first, even chastising Nozomi for taking her Pinky Catch off for a minute to wash her hands, but the girls are sympathetic and so is the audience after learning his backstory. When Girinma reveals that Nightmare took advantage of his kindness to to take over the Palmier Kingdom, Nozomi is righteously mad and she protects Nuts while delivering a fantastic speech about how awful it was that they’d prey on someone’s good nature like that. Nozomi standing up for him and defending him, explaining that it wasn’t his fault, and then promising to revive the Palmier Kingdom with Coco and the other girls is a great bonding moment, and that’s when he turns around and yells at Girinma that he believes in Precure. He’s a more cynical character than the optimistic Coco, which balances them out, but it’s not the last time it will cause some strife.
I didn’t really have space to bring it up in the summary, but we get to see how two-faced Bunbee is in this episode. He’s standing around the office trying to figure out how he should report his failures to the higher-ups, and he probably isn’t even going to say anything, but then one of the masked people at the table stands up and reveals himself to be Kawarino, Bunbee’s superior. (etymology: Kawaru means “change”, like how he disguised himself) Bunbee’s arrogance turns to stammering as he’s clearly unsettled by Kawarino’s presence and thinly-veiled threats to his competency.
Tumblr media
As soon as Kawarino leaves, Girinma climbs out of the trap door pit and Girinma blames him for being chewed out, then sets him to work.
Speaking of the villains, I just want to say that Girinma’s attack at the soon-to-be NattsHouse was pretty intense. He appeared out of nowhere, knocked Coco back, and nabbed the Dream Collet in no time. His only mistake was in taunting the girls to try to get it back from him, rather than just disappearing back to Nightmare to hand it to Bunbee.
Other notable scenes: in the beginning, Coco tries to wake up Nozomi so they can get the others and revive Nuts. He takes his human form to do this, and Nozomi’s mother walks in to see a strange man standing over her daughter.
Tumblr media
yes, they did just go there
She closes the door, does a double take, and opens it back up, trying to get an answer from Nozomi, who takes a minute to realize what has happened, but she convinces her mom she was just seeing things. Also, Nozomi’s sleepy face is absolutely adorable, and in general she looks good with her hair down.
Tumblr media
In this episode, Nozomi is formally elected as the leader of the team, after they all, even Karen, agree that they wouldn’t have become Precures without her. We also see her transfer a Pinky from the Pinky Catch to the Dream Collet in great detail, no doubt highlighting the interactive features of the two toys. However, it’s done pretty fluidly, and the design and functionality of the Dream Collet are less obtuse than some other toys we’ve seen. It slides open to reveal a screen inside, and there’s a stylus you can use to play some simple games. Not as fancy as the actual computer from Splash Star.

And my last little note: here is NattsHouse before and after renovation:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In conclusion, this episode wraps up the character introductions tidily, and seamlessly transitions us into the body of the show. It gives Nuts his own arc to join the team in a similar way that the other girls got in their spotlight episodes, as well as establishing some more conventions. Once again we see Nozomi’s inspiring leadership move the other characters, and this time she is formally recognized as the leader of the team. It’s a strong start to the series, and it only gets better from here.
Next time, however, there’s some dissension in the ranks..... look forward to it!
