I can’t believe that it’s been a year since Ash Ketchum/Satoshi and his longtime partner Pokemon Pikachu made their last appearance in the TV series.
Anyway, credit goes to @outouni for doing this commission of Kirlia dressed as the Lass holding a Pikachu plushie from the first season opening theme of Aim to Be a Pokémon Master on early March of last year.

Round 4
Tumblr media
Note: This is a three-way poll to even our numbers going into the semi-finals! Only the winner will advance to the final four!
Pokémon TV Series: I want to be the very best, like no one ever was. The Pokémon TV series or Pokémon anime is the iconic all-ages animated show based on the immensely popular Pokémon trading card and video game franchise. Premiering in 1997, the series follows the irresponsibly-young adventures of a trainer named Ash Ketchum and his electrifying companion Pikachu as they travel through the many regions in the Pokémon world, capturing and training Pokémon, competing in battles, and aiming to become Pokémon Masters. Along the way, they encounter friends and rivals, foil the plans of the villainous Team Rocket, and of course document and capture lots of funny little guys (Pocket Monsters, as it were.) You gotta catch 'em all!
Princess Mononoke: Cut off a wolf’s head, and it still has the power to bite. Princess Mononoke is a critically acclaimed animated film created by renowned director Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli, released in 1997. The film tells a complex environmental story, set in a fantastical ancient forest based on late Muromachi period Japan; we join a young warrior, Ashitaka, who becomes embroiled in a conflict between the inhabitants of the forest and a mining town encroaching on their land. At the heart of the story is San, a human girl raised by wolves, and Lady Eboshi, the leader of the mining community. Princess Mononoke is admired by Ghibli and non-Ghibli fans alike for its beautiful hand-drawn animation and its exploration of the themes of nature, industrialization, and the delicate balance between the consistent push of humanity and the weariness of a long-surviving environment. It was the highest-grossing film in Japan for 1997, and also held Japan's box office record for domestic films until Miyazaki’s 2001 release Spirited Away.
End of Evangelion: It all returns to nothing. So says the haunting tune 'Komm, Süsser Tod' by Arianne, which soundtracks the fate of humanity in the End of Evangelion. The film serves as an alternate ending to the original anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion, which bewitched viewers with the then-unconventional match of giant mecha and existential depression all wrapped up in religious iconography. The final episodes of the anime are incredibly cerebral and proved controversial for viewers at the time, which led to director Hideaki Anno further expressing himself in the 1997 film... which took the heady themes and conflicting stylistic choices of the show and put them in a high-octane blender, along with a tall glass of Human Tang. At its core, End of Evangelion asks if individualism is the one great folly of humanity and the source of our suffering, or if it is the very point of it; it shows the loss of barriers between people and subsequent extinction of loneliness as a sort of cosmic horror. Looking back at the scenes, imagery, and music most associated with the anime and its continued influence, much of the franchise's legacy stems from the End of Evangelion.

Pokemon sleep announcement

#POKEMON SLEEP ANNOUNCEMENT SERIES#
Pokemon Sleep is a game from The Pokemon Company announced mid-2019 that helps players track.
#POKEMON SLEEP ANNOUNCEMENT ANDROID#
Pokemon Home will be available on iOS and Android devices as well as the Nintendo Switch. 'Pokemon Sleep' and 'Sinnoh' are the two trending terms, and neither because of a related announcement. Pokemon Home will also support “Pokemon Go.” Although no other details were divulged at the news conference, it’ll be interesting to see how the the popular mobile game will work with other titles in the series. ‘Pokémon made walking into entertainment’ the promotional video began, before offering what felt like an affirmation: ‘Our daily life has become more colourful, active and fulfilling. From what I’ve heard, I assume Pokemon Home is a way to transfer your Pokemon from the original game and bring it to future titles such as the upcoming “Pokemon Sword” and “Pokemon Shield” games. When mobile app game Pokémon Sleep (scheduled for 2020) was announced at the end of May it was hard to avoid the self-help styled inflections of the presentation. Photograph: The Pokémon Company Patrick Lum jintorau Wed 00.54 EDT 95 The Pokémon Company has announced a new game in. It seems as if they settled on Pokemon Home as that service. Pokémon Sleep is an app that aims to track your sleep cycle. With the introduction of “Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!” and “Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee!” the developers had to come up with a system that can link these different systems together. Apparently Miyamoto has got his PokeFlute out, because files have been added to Pokemon Go that suggest Sleep functionality or compatibility could be on the way. It allowed players to transfer Pokemon from previous Nintendo 3DS games into current ones. Speculation is rife, and even more so after recent Pokemon Go datamines suggest that Pokemon Sleep could be stirring from its slumber. That was an subscription-based app for the Nintendo 3DS. Pokmon sleep trailer from Pokmon 2019 event, announced along side detective pikachu 2, Pokmon home, and another Pokmon IOS gamepokemonsleep pokemonhom. According to the press release, they can “trade with friends or others around the world directly from Pokémon Home.” From the sound of it, the service sounds like an evolution of the Pokemon Bank. The cloud-based service app that is scheduled for release in early 2020 will allow players to manage their collection across multiple games. The Pokemon Company has acknowledge that’s an issue and came up with a solution in Pokemon Home, which was announced Tuesday at a Tokyo news conference. It was announced at the Pokmon 2019 Press Conference on May 29, 2019. The fragmentation has been an issue as the titles have evolved with the technology. Dreaming of becoming a Pokémon master This is. PokemonGOPlusPlus Pokémon (Pokemon) May 29, 2019. In the very back of the image, we can see a sleeping Snorlax off in the distance, blocking a road, as is tradition for Snorlax We have had sleeping snorlax featured in game previously, as part of the Snorlax Snooze Event, which was a tie in for the 2019 Pokemon press conference that announced Pokémon Sleep.
#POKEMON SLEEP ANNOUNCEMENT SERIES#
Since its inception, the series has spread across the Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 3DS and mobile phones. It sends this sleep information to your smartphone via Bluetooth. The “Pokemon” franchise has gotten so big across several different devices that it can be difficult managing all those pocket monsters.

VRainsweek, Day 6
Prompt: Gaming Champions Day 1: “A moment of silence” Day 2: “The conflict in the inner mind” Day 3: Ai-chan fly~ Day 4: “Path to the future” Day 5: “What destiny shows” Day 6: “Fighting spirit” @vrainsweek
Summary: Yusaku was in an exaggeratedly and unbelievably silly mood. No one could explain it, not even he himself. However, this mood finally urged him to visit Kusanagi Jin. No backing down anymore. He still couldn’t figure out how in the Cyverse he could end up in this competition.
Word count: 664 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
After Lightning took away his memories of the Lost Incident, Jin started to live with his older brother in an apartment near Yusaku’s old home. When he visited them, he actually looked nothing like Kusanagi always described, and he himself imagined him to be. Yusaku couldn’t believe his eyes. Jin was running left and right through the flat, he chatted so utterly blissfully with him, he cooked for both of them and even served the food. Maybe it was the high feeling he received after bindge playing various video games with Ryoken and Specter through the whole night. Maybe it was the bubbly and content feeling of the aftermath of everything that turned fine in the end. Maybe it was nothing he could imagine that he told Ai – thankfully back in his little humanoid, purple Ignis form – to use Tackle on Jin. Everyone just responded with a gaping, disbelieving expression in their faces. For the very first time, though, it didn’t feel uncomfortable for Yusaku. He was only enjoying the amusing view. And the Ai really listened. He shot through the air towards Jin but stopped just before him. He waved at him, greeted him and then glomped onto his right cheek. Jin blinked. Yusaku informed Kusanagi that it was super effective because Jin started to chuckle. But it wasn’t his wish to battle him in his absolute favourite game that surprised him but his older brother. Kusanagi started to cry, hugged him in a bone-crushing way and thanked him for a millionth time. Yusaku was too perplexed to say anything. Not even Jin could calm him down. It hadn’t taken him long to get his hands on two Nintendo 3DS consoles as well as a copy of Pokémon Heartgold for Jin and Soulsilver for him. Yusaku remembered vividly how much he loved the second generation’s special edition, Pokémon Crystal, to bits and pieces. To be able to revisit the Johto region, seeing the game in this advanced layout as well as finding out that the first Pokémon in his team would follow him like Pikachu did in the first generations special edition made it impossible for Yusaku to reject Kusangi’s efforts. Jin was way too eager to play the game. This franchise was the only other big interest next to Duel Monsters in his childhood. During his playthrough, he remembered all the hours he had spent on his Game Boy, how much he adored the little animations the pocket monsters did when they entered the battlefield, how dedicated he had been to train them on a very high level to oppose the very last and legendary trainer Red on Mount Silver – but he never beat him. He spent hours again, reluctantly stopped playing when he had to go to school or other important meetings, honed his rusty knowledge and formed a strong team consisting of Crobat, Alakazam, Lapras, Ninetails, Vileplum and Ampharos together with Ai. Yusaku had no idea how delightful and good it would feel to dive back into a childhood interest. All the feelings he had back then came back. Celebrating his victories with a proud fist, rage over the signature Pokémon Miltank of the gym leader Withney, find and carefully raise his team members to the strong formation he now has. But Jin wipes the floor with him when they battle. Yusaku can’t believe that he has an answer for every single team member when he was basically waltzing through the Pokémon League with utter ease. As much as he enjoyed the battle with Jin, his loss stings as much as his losses against Withney and her overpowered Normal Pokémon. “You weren’t the only one aiming to become a Pokémon Master, Fujiki-kun,” Jin whispers with a confident smirk. This is a challenge Yusaku could never back down from. “And I’m still the better Pokémon Trainer,” he claimed. “I bet not!” “Bring it on!” No one but Ai sees the utmost happiest expression on Kusanagi’s face when they continue to quarrel.

Note: If you thought something to the extent of “What about the Detective Pikachu Movie” or “I thought Castlevania had a Netflix show” those are all American and/or live-action, and aren’t in this list. I might make a list for those later however.
Anyways, the total comes out to 315, 154 anime and 161 manga. Now that would be one hell of a binge-watch/read. Imagine how long it’d take to play all the games!

The official summary has been translated courtesy of Adamant
To all Pokémon fans: This is the story of the duo's "meeting" and "promise". This is the creation of the 20th anniversary movie! Pocket Monsters, or "Pokémon" for short: Mysterious lifeforms that hide many secrets. There are still many things we don't know about their ecology. Even today, Pokémon Trainers continue their adventures with the aim of encountering Pokémon never before seen...
Ash, a boy living in Pallet Town, greeted the morning of his 10th birthday, the day he could become qualified to become a Pokémon Trainer. Ash's heart was filled with a desire for Pokémon he has never seen before and a world he has never seen before, but while he was meant to be given a Pokémon that would become his partner at the Oak Laboratories, he ended up severely oversleeping, and all that was left for him was a single Pikachu, a Pokémon that did not get attached to humans. "Do you hate me? I like you!" Even though the two were at odds with one another, their friendship deepened little by little, and as they looked up at the legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh that flew through the sky on the day they set off, Ash and Pikachu swore an oath as they held one of its Rainbow Feathers: "Let's go meet it together one day!" And thus, Pikachu and Ash, who set off on his journey to become the world's greatest Pokémon Master, end up meeting the Trainers Makoto and Soji on their way before getting told a legend concerning Ho-Oh.
"Those who, guided by the Rainbow Feather, meet with Ho-Oh, shall become the Heroes of the Rainbow." Ash and the others end up getting guided by Marshadow, a mysterious Pokémon that had been lurking in Ash's shadow without anyone realizing, and make their way to Mount Tensei, where Ho-Oh lives, but a strong enemy appears before them. Will the duo manage to reach Ho-Oh?! In order for them to fulfill the promise they swore on the day the departed, the two of them now begin an adventure that will last until they become "true partners"!

Summary of the movie!
I like you!" Even though the two were at odds with one another, their friendship deepened little by little, and as they looked up at the legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh that flew through the sky on the day they set off, Ash and Pikachu swore an oath as they held one of its Rainbow Wings: "Let's go meet it together one day!" And thus, Pikachu and Ash, who set off on his journey to become the world's greatest Pokémon Master, end up meeting the Trainers Makoto and Soji on their way before getting told a legend concerning Ho-Oh.
"Those who, guided by the Rainbow Wing, meet with Ho-Oh, shall become the Heroes of the Rainbow." Ash and the others end up getting guided by Marshadow, a mysterious Pokémon that had been lurking in Ash's shadow without anyone realizing, and make their way to Mount Tensei, where Ho-Oh lives, but a strong enemy appears before them. Will the duo manage to reach Ho-Oh?! The DVD Launches in America: It's March 24th, 1997, and as a nation we're starting to get a bit bored of award shows (the more things change, the more they stay the same.) Viewership is down for the 69th Academy Awards, hosted by Billy Crystal; The English Patient is absolutely clearing house and winning Best Picture, but critics would later say that sucked the life out of the room and left a dull atmosphere to hang. During the event, though, something long-delayed is coming to pass, and it'll ensure a spike in viewership for every film that takes home an Oscar moving forward: the DVD is being launched in the United States. Development of technology and the production process to follow can take decades and stagger public access for years, which made the life of the DVD for those behind the scenes feel ages longer than it would actually reign-- but while it reigned, it reigned. For those of a certain age, it's hard to believe the DVD had the keys to the kingdom primarily from '97 to '06 when the Blu-Ray would step onto the scene to mixed success, but split consumer attention with risingly-accessible digital purchases and streaming. By no means is the DVD dead today, it simply enjoys a different life on the shelves of collectors; it is not quite a nostalgic media format yet (as the VHS tape became) but generally exists in a space between what is current and what is retro. The value of owning physical media is gaining recognition in the corporate streaming age, and the DVD has emerged as the face of this above all formats.

Donatella Succeeds Gianni Versace: Some say fashion is immortal. On July 15, 1997, global fashion icon Gianni Versace was murdered outside his Miami home by the serial killer Andrew Cunanan, which resulted in a manhunt that would resolve in Cunanan's self-inflicted demise. This event shocked the fashion world, and brought an end to an era-- but opened the doors to another. Gianni's sister Donatella Versace took over the creative direction of the Versace fashion house in 1997; following her brother's death, Donatella assumed the role of Vice President of the Versace Group and became the chief designer for the brand. Under her leadership, the briefly uncertain Versace continued to be a prominent and influential player in the fashion industry, with Donatella's distinctive style and design sensibilities shaping the brand's collections today.
