Dorohedoro TV anime will receive a sequel streaming series.
The first season ran for 12 episodes from January 12 to March 29, 2020, on Tokyo MX. Netflix streamed the anime outside of Japan on May 28, 2020.
Message from Q Hayashida, author of the original manga:
I'm overjoyed to have a sequel made for the anime adaptation of Dorohedoro. Thank you so much to everyone involved. Production has actually been going on for a while now and I've had the chance to sit in on things so I was looking forward for it to come out as much as anyone. While some time has passed from the first season, I hope you all will join us once again in the world of the Dorohedoro anime.
I recently became aware of The Star of La Seine (ラ・セーヌの星) from 1975. It seems heavily influenced by The Rose of Versailles (ベルサユのばら). I look forward to exploring it more and seeing if I find it to be “majokko-adjacent”
I really cannot get over this scene from the eighth episode of the Princess Knight (リボンの騎士) dub. I love everything about it, and it’s soooooo Revolutionary Girl Utena (少女革命ウテナ), although another Tumblr netizen accurately pointed out that actually it is Utena that is sooooo Princess Knight haha.
