Every European kid asking why it's called “Palms Sunday” If we bless everything except real palms:
Palm Sunday is a Christian holiday. As you might have guessed from the name, it’s on a Sunday — always the Sunday before Easter. That’s because it’s meant to commemorate Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem, a week before Easter Sunday.
However, plams doesn't grow up everywhere, so each Christian country adopted their own version.
In the memes I summarize some of the European traditions I know:
North Italy, Slovenia and Croatia: small olive branches are blessed and distributed to the faithfuls at Churches. In Slovenia there are also “butarica”, that is traditionally a bundle of greenery, flowers or colored wood shavings. In Ljubljana, they are made of colored wood shavings, similar to the Polish tradion illustrated below
South Italy: interweaving palm leaves
Germany, Austria, Finland and Hungary: pussy willow or catkin branches
Bulgaria: Willow twigs, something weaved into crowns with other flowers
Poland: the faithful bring to churches their own “palms” generally made from willow branches decorated with evergreen plants colorful and vibrant crepe paper flowers and green bilberry or juniper bushes affixed to the top of dried flowers and colorful dyed grasses.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Hector Barbossa —Aesthetic
Captain Hector Barbossa's Character & Personality
Barbossa originally had earnest desires to be a man of the sea. Unfortunately, he became a greedy pirate because of his megalomania for wealth and power. Barbossa is confident, persuasive, ruthless and cunning. He combines experience with almost daring recklessness. Barbossa is grim and rough-edged, but has a knack for dry humor. He's also quite inspiring at pep-talking his mates and wise advice. At his worst he's cruel, wily, manipulative and bloodthirsty. Barbossa could be merciless and often turned agreements to his favor. Nevertheless, he has stated he has a merciful nature and a sense of fair play, but this is possibly his morbid sense of humour. However, Barbossa isn't completely without honor as he claimes to be a man of his word. He considers himself a gentleman and possesses a certain eloquence which he frequently uses to his advantage. Being vain, Barbossa likes to wear fine clothes, enjoys setting himself in scene and holding powerful speeches. Like many pirates, he considers the Pirate Code to be "more guidelines than actual rules". Yet, Barbossa respects the right of Parley and preferrs interpreting the Code in his favor instead of breaking it openly. Additionally, he has an apparent fearlessness, which could be interpreted as suicidal insanity; much to his crew's dismay. Like most pirates, Barbossa has a pet capuchin monkey, mockingly named "Jack" after Sparrow. He genuinely cares about the monkey and finds pleasure in petting or feeding him. "Jack" the monkey normally accompanies his master everywhere on his shoulder. Barbossa's favorite delicacy is caviar, but he also loves apples. This is a quite an expensive obsession since fresh fruit isn't commonly available in the Caribbean.
This is a music video that’s sadly no longer on YouTube. But the editing and clip choices are AMAZING! And I downloaded it before it disappeared. Hope y’all enjoy it.
