You guys know that one photo Neil posted with that Van Morrison song? I feel like Soap would do the same with his instagram.

Soap would post slideshows of pictures of him and Task Force 141, photos of different countries and cities he’s been because of deployment (if he was allowed to take his phone with him), and he would almost always put a blues/rock song in the background.

He’d also post reels sometimes. Like, you know how you can turn your stories into a reel? He’d do that. Though, sometimes, he would film silly stuff that happens in the barracks or on missions. Most of the time it’d be him and Gaz fucking around with the other soldiers.

Something Soap would do in a reel would be scaring Gaz with a toad.. just, picking a big slimy one and going up to Gaz, stretching his arm out closer to Gaz and chasing him through wherever they are.

There was this one slideshow Soap posted. It was right after the Las Almas mission, and it was ten blurry photos of Ghost in his balaclava. Basically, Soap would randomly just pull out his phone whenever Ghost had the balaclava on (not the skull mask) and just try to take a photo but Ghost would always notice and just nab Soap’s phone out of his hand right as he took the picture. And Soap put a nice jazz song in the background.

After he posted this slideshow, he followed it up with photos of the other members of Task Force 141. Every slideshow would have some jazz song in the background lolol

Soap would probably have around 30 followers. Half would be friends from the military, the other would be some family and friends back home. I don’t think he’d be the type to have a lot of followers but maybe I’m just projecting.

Oooh Soap would be somewhat of a shitposter. I just know he has over 100 posts on his account and a Bajillion archived stories (mostly comprised of cringey but cute memes or some animal videos he reposts).

10. What fanon fact/s did you make your mind up on while writing for LBFaD?

I'm very fond of the idea that the Moon Queen is a rare thing and that previous Moon Supremes mostly had concubines. I'll get into it more in my fic An Orchid of the Moon once the time comes to reveal more about my headcanons 😉. But I've seen others mention/explore this idea as well, so I'm glad I'm not alone! I think, just like with Moon Supreme, becoming Moon Queen is not a simple thing!

I also like the idea that DFQC (and XLH) were not aware of the Glazed Fire manifesting in DFQC in the final showdown with Tai Sui. Too much was going on! The drama that can cause later is fun.

12. Favourite tropes in your fic/s and why.

Oooh. Well, I like porn for plot reasons (a la medicinal purposes). I think it's fun to put these characters in situations where they have to have sex, especially when DFQC and XLH are at such odds with one another at first.

I also like playing with role reversals, which I haven't had a chance to do much yet with the fics I've published, but I have a couple ideas in mind where DFQC is the one with less "power" than XLH. I think it's fun to see how their dynamic would change and how it'd stay the same. In a similar vein, I like giving characters new origins from their canon counterparts (like making XLH a Moon Tribe flower spirit in An Orchid of the Moon) and seeing how things would change. I have another fic planned that also swaps a character's origin (but I won't say who yet 🤭)

13. Favourite song/s that inspired you?

Begin Again by Purity Ring reminds me of Canglan. Also "Bends" by Carly Rae Jepsen inspired my fic the year of drowning (but I didn't end up using it as a title inspo bc i couldn't find a good line to use)

im with you, anon 😭 especially with our South American players with the upcoming Copa América.

as a south american myself, it would be wise if they didn't travel (while it would be amazing to win la Copa, i don't expect my country to get too far in the tournament cause my dearest Lucho cannot do everything by himself) cause shit gets ugly reallyyyy fast in our football. players over here loooooooove their dirty tackles especially those from certain countries that know that they can get away with many things cause they are more successful than others (just like certain countries in other regions lol). many of our matches are aggressive and borderline violent when you see how hard they play each other even without dirty tackles 💀

i will never forget Copa América 2015 and 2016, those two tournaments were filled with fights almost every single match. competitiveness here seems to jump straight from normal competitiveness to violence within like 5 minutes of the game starting lmao.

i remember one Colombia vs. Brazil match ended in a fight after tensions just kept rapidly rising as the match progressed. the whole thing exploded when Neymar kicked the ball just so it could hit a Colombian player and in retaliation a Colombian player came running and pushed Neymar which only helped to make things go even crazier. the whole thing became a meme and many were kinda happy cause goddamn, Neymar was so fucking annoying during that tournament 💀 (not that he has changed tbh, he seems to be getting worse as he gets older).

and oh my god, while this specific moment was not really aggressive or anything, there was this one match (Chile vs. Uruguay) where a Chilean player put a finger up an Uruguayan player's ass (Cavani, out of all people 😭) and the one who got sent off was Cavani after he lightly slapped the other guy and he, as football players do, dramatically fell to the ground holding his face as if he had just gotten punched within an inch of his life. However, the match as a whole was aggressive as hell. Crazy match tbh.

later, the whole thing got reviewed and the Chilean player got suspended for like three matches lmaoo. some look at him or hear his name and go "oooh, that's the guy that put his finger up Cavani's ass".

i remember watching that match with my family and we all just looked at each other all confused cause "did that guy really put his finger up Cavani's ass??? 👁️👁️" and then got mad when Cavani got sent off as if we were Uruguayans cause no one but Chileans were rooting for Chile during that tournament lmaooo.

I confess, I don’t watch a lot of South American football, but when I do, it always leaves an everlasting impression lol. Those players truly play football like they are in war, but hey, violence can be entertaining - especially if the drama is not happening to your favorites, but rather rivals haha. I’m so afraid of this international break, ngl, my favourite ever player is finally back from injury in our nt after 1,5 years and I just know if he goes down even with the lightest tackle I will be clutching my pearls lol. And of course with Domi too, or any players really. They also suffer from the passion disease and act like they are fighting for our country’s independence or something. Do you prefer Large Pesci or Short Pesci? I know in canon Pesci is pretty short, but for some reason I kinda prefer him being this gentle giant kinda guy, but younger, with his height nearing Illuso's or Risotto's.

(Side tangent: I remember back then I was a bit angry that Pesci was short while Illuso was made 1.5x buffer in the anime, but then I remmbered the original manga had Prosciutto look DOWN at Pesci when he was holding his head, so derp on my end I suppose)

Oooh, good question! I have a two-fold answer to this one:

I prefer Large Pesci when it comes to fanart! Back in the day I remember seeing some really cool and fun art of Large Pesci, and with Beach Boy requiring a lot of physical strength from Pesci when it comes to "prey" like humans, Large Pesci makes much better sense just because it means way more bulk and way more power to manipulate Beach Boy with.

But! For my headcanons I always go with Short Pesci, because back in the day when I was poking about on the Internet researching stuff for my La Squadra art meme, I learned about Turner Syndrome, a condition arising in people with XX chromosomes that results in a short stature and a webbed neck that looks remarkably similar to Pesci's neck... and from these findings arose my "Pesci is short and transmasc because of Turner Syndrome and body dysphoria" headcanon, which I am very fond of! I don't know how many Pesci fans share this headcanon, sadly there were very few of them on my radar in my Twitter days, but it's something I'm personally very happy with, so Short Pesci it is!

(Also you were right to be angry, Illuso does not deserve to be buff. Nice looking, yes, buff, absolutely not.)

Pain and revenge is a dark rapefic, On the edge is about the characters turning evil, Le destin ne recule pas is about a desperate and failed attempt to prevent the Ragnarök, by the villains even.

For fanfic, I'm usually good at seeing the hidden implications of canon details.

I'm so bad at surprises and plot twists, at walking the line between "everyone must have understood this" (I'm wrong) and "no one could understand this" (I'm wrong)

The whole dialogue, no, unless it's a bilingual bonus that we're meant not to understand (and/or the character does this in canon)

An intranslatable word from time to time, Japanese honorific... it depends. Sometimes it sounds weird, sometimes it sounds weird not doing it.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Writing my own stories about other people's characters before I knew what fanfic was: Brer Rabbit when I was a kid.

IIRC the first fic I wrote knowing what fandom was, was a Ruroni Kenshin fic. Discovering the world of fic made me realize that I could write even if my style wasn't perfect.

19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

I have hundreds of fandoms and plan to write a lot more, but in immediate plans, maybe something about the Hilda cartoon.

Ouch hard to decide again. I often rec Les enfants de l'acide because it's a fandom everyone knows, Vestiges de l'ordure et de la lumière because it's one of the best horror/dark humor smuts I wrote, channeling the original almost, I showed it to my grandfather even.

1,140,336. About 900k of that is from my current fandom. :P

Currently, I write for A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

Probably everything in my current fandom lol

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I do! I know it is a common complaint in the writing fandom space how fandom community has been replaced by content creation and consumption, and I figure that one of the ways to fight back against that is to have a two-way chat in the comment section. I also figure that both me and the reader are in this fandom for a reason and I also like chatting about the thought process behind my stories so I enjoy the thread gabs!

6. What's the fic you wrote that has the angstiest ending?

Me, who kills Jon off as a hobby: *laughs nervously*

7. What's the fic you wrote that has the happiest ending?

Think I'll stick to current fandom for these questions but probably interlude: la danse d'hiver, the only time I will likely ever write a Babies Ever After/Targaryen Restoration ending. It maybe ties with the silhouette of a single memory, but the caveat with the latter is that everything in canon still took place so maybe it's more on the sweet side of bittersweet.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not really? I've had a handful of stray comments that probably didn't need to be written but to be honest, I'm roasted on the reg by a pair of 6-year-olds. No one can hurt your feelings like a child with no tact so I usually shake my head and laugh at the rare bits of negativity.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do love to see an aunt bang her nephew. So yes. Very much so lmao

10. Do you write crossovers?

Fusion, sure. But I haven't really written a crossover since my days writing for The Dresden Files/Sherlock and that was entirely due to a whole OC storyline I created with my partner-in-crime

Someone translated the gather, the bend, the bringing forth into Russian. Kudos to them because even my eyes go crossed when I work up the gumption to reread that monstrosity.

I've had a lot of OTPs. Clearly, I'm sailing on the Jonerys ship currently but I've had at least one or two for each fandom I've written for.

Arcana, mostly. I grew disillusioned with the canon source and its author so there's a good chance this one will never be finished.

I am my worst critic so I'll just say I'm good at typing a lot of words that sometimes are coherent and pretty.

Pacing, which is a real fucking problem since four of my multi-chapter fics over the past couple of years have been (or are going to be) well over 150k.

There are usually snippets of High Valyrian in some of my ASOIAF/GOT fics but I'm not sure of that counts.

VIOLENCE 3 - screenshot or description of the worst take you've seen on tumblr: this was a person on tumblr complaining about the 2022 matilda the musical film adaptation, in comparison to the 1996 american film:

the songs were mostly inner monologue that lasted minutes at a time. most of the songs didn't even move the plot. what these songs did in five minutes, the narration in the mara wilson movie did in 1 minute [...] basically the older matilda movie had more "show don't tell"

For the WIP Game, MCU - A Quantum Universe

Oooh, I'm excited about this one and hope that I really do actually find the time to write it once I finish Lent From Tomorrow (and probably Please Stand By?). I actually got the idea from an anon who messaged me last time I did a fic meme -- if anyone reading this is that anon, please tell me so I can credit you properly! -- but: ok.

So.

This is an Endgame AU where Thanos' snap Dusts either all men or just all of the male superheroes (haven't decided yet) but either way: all of the male superheroes are Dusted. So it's up to the woman superheroes to save the universe and bring back the other half of the universe and whatnot. Up in space, Captain Marvel finds Nebula and Mantis and they go to Earth to find out what happened. Natasha is leading what's left of the Avengers (so, uh, her, Wanda, and Maria Hill) and teaming up with Okoye, Shuri, and the Dora to do all of the humanitarian stuff that EG totally ignores but that we get hints that Nat's been coordinating during the Blip.

MEANWHILE IN SAN FRANCISCO, Janet Van Dyne and Hope contact eminent astrophysicists Jane Foster and Darcy Lewis because they think (idk some technobabble I will figure out). They decide to contact the lady Avengers and offer their help. Probably Katy is their lyft driver across the country.

Time keeps going while they build a new quantum tunnel, but they need more than to be able to enter and exit the quantum realm. They need to be able to traverse the multiverse.

Nat's like, "I know a brilliant scientist," and she contacts Melina and Yelena. Possibly there's a subplot about Madame Hydra Val and Powerbroker Sharon but idk. Something something Ten Rings Xialing.

Like twoooo-ish years into the Blip, there's someone standing outside of the Compound gates a la Scott Lang, but it's not Scott. He got Dusted. It's Kate Bishop and her martial arts sparring partner, MJ Jones-Watson. Kate claims to be the best archer left on Earth, if they need a new Hawkeye. MJ basically says, "I'm pretty sure I went to school with Spider-Man? I'm not sticky, but I'm good at aerial silks and martial arts, and also engineering, and I want to help?" Possibly Riri shows up with them, too, idk.

At some point Carol shows back up with Monica, Maria who DID NOT DIE, and Kamala.

The greatest minds of the MCU are all working on how to travel the multiverse to get the stones safely but it's not working. Science! is not enough on its own.

Enter Wanda's chaos magic. And maybe Agatha? Undecided. And maybe America? Also undecided.

So the women team up into groups to go to different universes adjacent to the MCU's main universe to get the stones, and no one goddamn leaves anyone for Peggy.

And possibly Nat and Yelena are who go to Vormir. Undecided.

Yadadada, they get the stones, build their own gauntlet, nobody betrays anyone because they didn't meet up with Old Nebula, Captain Marvel snaps because duh, and the menfolk heroes are back. Everyone rides off into the sunset, alive and with who they're supposed to be with.

Somos cambiantes...

¿Cuántas veces cambiamos en la vida?

 No recuerdo dónde leí que lo único constante en la vida era el cambio, tenían razón. Y es que cambiamos. Todo el tiempo. 

Desde nuestra forma de vestir hasta nuestra forma de pensar, desde lo que nos gusta comer, hasta la estatura que tenemos al nacer. Somos seres cambiantes. Pero, ¿realmente lo somos? 

Qué hay de aquellos que "nunca cambian" que tienen las mismas creencias e ideas de hace años, qué hay de aquellos que repiten lo mismo y no cambian lo que se les enseño cuando eran niños, qué hay de aquellos que incluso se peinan igual que cuando eran niños. 

Me queda claro que los cambios físicos no podemos detenerlos, es inevitable. Aunque la moda y las redes sociales digan lo contrario, discúlpame que te lo diga pero estoy segura que el 99.9% de los que estamos aquí leyendo esto, no vamos a envejecer así como Madonna o Maribel Guardia con sus sesenta y tantos años encima respectivamente.

Pero, qué hay de lo otro, eso que no tiene nada que ver con el físico eso que se alberca en la mente y conflictúa a la razón, esos pensamientos, convicciones y creencias  de las que estamos hechos. ¿Cómo cambiamos eso? 

¿Por qué nos es difícil cambiar?,¿por qué nos aterra lo diferente y todo aquello que nos viene a mover la silla y el adorno de lugar? ¿Es ansiedad? ¿Es miedo? 

Cuando era niña me sentía cómoda escuchando ambos lados del casete con las mismas canciones siempre, porque me las sabía bien, y las podía cantar agusto. Pero siempre que llegaba uno de mis hermanos o hermanas y ponía algo diferente que no conocía, no me gustaba. Me sentía fuera de, quería cantar pero solo podía adivinar lo siguiente que diría la canción y terminaba cantando las sílabas del final un aba... ría... ar... o un largo oooh. Pero nada más. No me podía cantar completo porque no me sabía nada. 

Así me siento a veces en la vida cuando llega un cambio que no esperaba, como si quisiera adaptarme y cantar pero solo termino diciendo lo de al final. Lo intento pero nomas no llego a aprenderme la canción. A adaptarme al cambio repentino. Y me siento fuera de, como si me la pasara improvisando una canción que nunca me aprenderé.

Después seguía escuchando las canciones que ponían y me gustaban, me las terminaba aprendiendo e incluso pedía más música nueva, -¡ten, ten! pon este casete, les decía, ahora este CD, o que tal este MP3. Me sabía tantas canciones que mi hermano Pablo me decía la rocola humana. 

Y también me llega ese momento con los cambios, cuando al fin me adapto y es maravilloso verlo y sentirlo.

 En lo que llevo de vida, me doy cuenta que el cambio siempre va a ser parte de la vida. Que aunque la mayoría de las veces yo lo busque, no quiere decir que sea fácil, solo sé que de todos modos va a llegar algo diferente siempre, lo busque o no, quiera o no.

Así como las estaciones, todo cambia, la manera de hablar, el domicilio, la religión, nuestra manera de ver las cosas, el meme de la semana.

No me atrevería a juzgar a quien no quiere cambiar, a quien se aferra a un pasado que ya no está, a quien sigue poniendo la mesa para dos cuando ahí ya solo come uno. A nadie nos gusta el cambio repentino. Además, ¿Quién soy yo para decirle a alguien que cambie algo de sí? ¿Quién soy yo para imponer una idea, para juzgar que lo que yo digo es la verdad absoluta? 

Somos cambiantes como la marea, somos cambiantes como las fases lunares, somos cambiantes como la piel de una serpiente. 

Si debo ser honesta, últimamente los cambios no me sientan bien, me a costado trabajo adaptarme, me a costado trabajo salir a la calle y ver que todo es diferente. No solo porque me mudé. Sino que pienso que la pandemia fue un detonador de cambio muy cabrón para la humanidad. "Nos hizo más fuertes" dirán algunos "Aprendí muchas cosas " dirían otros.  

Al principio me gustaba la pandemia, como ser privilegiado disfrutaba el ritmo tranquilo, el home office y el levantarte solo unos 15 minutos antes de empezar a trabajar o de empezar las clases. Pero después llego el miedo, la ansiedad, y con eso un duelo. Empecé a hacer ejercicio, pero nada más, no aprendí otro idioma, no bajé 20 kilos, no me hice tik toker, pero si grabe uno que otro bailecito con mi hermana, debo confesar. Ah sí, y también me corte el cabello. Porque no fueron unas semanitas de "cuarentena" fueron meses de encierro. Y cambié, todos lo hicimos y quien diga lo contrario miente.

No sabía en lo personal qué me traería todo eso, al final sané muchas cosas conmigo misma y lo más importante con los seres queridos con quienes decidí yo, o la vida, vivir ese encierro. Valoré mi propia existencia y la de los demás y todo aquello que es realmente importante en la vida. Pero nunca entendí lo de la compra eufórica de papel de baño.

Hoy en día me surge la duda ¿realmente cambiamos? o lo único que se quedo de todo ese episodio de incertidumbre y cambios fue (por ahora) el uso del cubrebocas en lugares cerrados?  

Yo dejé el ejercicio, me siento mal por ello claro, pero lo más importante aun sigue conmigo y es el tener a mis padres y mis hermanas en mi vida, aunque estemos a kilómetros de distancia.

En fin, el cambio es parte de la vida, es constante y es inevitable, y como dice Darwin: "No es el más fuerte de las especies el que sobrevive, tampoco es el más inteligente el que sobrevive. Es aquel que es más adaptable al cambio".

He cambiado, sigo cambiando y voy a seguir haciéndolo. Así como los años pasan, así como las hojas caen de los arboles en otoño y la  brisa se enfría en los últimos meses del año. Tal vez no podamos controlar los cambios, pero si podemos decidir tomar lo mejor de ellos.

Going straight to the nearest store that’s got a wide selection of different shoes and robbing every single black one they’ve got. What the fuck are Docs and Nike/Adidas so expensive for… It’s not like Docs are as well made as they used to be and we all know most mainstream sports brands get their shit made for dirt cheap in sweatshops…

No but really I do think I have good taste because I won’t turn down listening to anything at least once before I make a call. I’ll listen to meme music but also critically acclaimed shit like Kid A; will play OM character songs on repeat alongside Florence and the Machine, and Hero’s Come Back is as much as a hype song for me as Here Be Dragons. My current earworm is That That by PSY but just a couple weeks before I couldn’t stop listening to La Campanella.

(Real answer is idk, but I really like the music I’ve saved and think they’re neat lol)
