Too much silence, which could only mean one thing--Johnnie was overthinking. Again. Melvin had only been dating the man sitting next to him on the couch in his flat for...had it been nearly a month? Or had it been longer than that? Didn't really matter in his opinion.

Either way, the goofy dork had started to blush and getting him back to reality was for the best. So, in a daring move, Melvin leaned towards him and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips. Ah, well, at least he was kissing him back, even if it was just for a moment or two. And there he was, returning to his usually giggly self, the one that had stirred Melvin's heart in the first place. Yet appearing flustered usually wasn't his thing.

With a laugh and grin of his own, he decided this earned a squeeze of the other's hand. "I quite agree. Your lips have a very soft quality to 'em," now it was his turn to blush, though if it was noticeable was up to Johnnie himself. "We could do it 'gain if you're up 'or it, love."

Part 3 and unfortunately the last 😔 one of @breezypunks magic.

I love my boys, all of them, Kerry included of course, no fun without the old man. I wanted a pair protrait for both my otp, I rarely give directions since I want to see what others come up with, giving their ideas and creativity enough room.

Did you notice the bird in the first one? I didn't at first, it is blurred due to the dof but when I saw it, I squeed like a little girl. 🤗 Since both, Kerry and Val are workaholics and are always working on something this is actually a rare occurance that they take some time for each other. Love it! 💜 I'm not sure where the picture was taken but it looks to my like it might be in Kerry's garden or at least North Oak, which would fit perfectly. Although Val knew what he signed up for, and has to show presence at Kerry's side, he never enjoys it. Even more so since he is mostly referred to as "Kerry's husband" instead of saying his name. So he avoids it to go into the public if he can.

Now we're coming to my very special babies. I just always had a knack for rare and OC pairings 🤷‍♂️. What other can I say than complete harmony? I adore the soft- and tenderness in this one, it teared me up the first time I looked at it. I don't think I ever mentioned it, but Joris tends to flee into the badlands every now and then when he needs some quiet. It is also one of the rare cases that he will leave his cyberdeck at home. I have also a fun fact about this picture: Vicco is more the bike type, but they possess this thornton, and they hate it, everytime they have to use it (bad weather) they hope this rust bucket will finally break down, but it doesn't somehow. This one is just perfect it made me go from "awww" to "ohh" to *giggle*.

1. On the couch after Abby went to bed

The two thought this would be the most logical option, Ness especially. They just didn't calculate how difficult it would be to stay quiet, especially with Abby's toys and crayons around the living room. Also, clean up. They didn't have lube on hand too, and while Ness knew a few DIY recipes, Mike just didn't want to risk it. Abby tip toed out of her bedroom, hearing their squabble. She thought the two were fighting. Ness soon had her back in bed. After all that trouble, they decided to snuggle together and snooze to the soft sound of the TV.

2. Mike's home Round 2

This time they waited for Abby to be on an overnight field trip. Mike cleaned up the house to the best of his ability and even bought a rose to pluck the petals and toss all over the bed (it wasn't nearly enough). Ness's heart melted at the gesture. He sat on the bed while Mike ran off to go shower. As Mike came back to the room, dewy from the shower and in nothing but a towel, he slipped and fell. Poor Mike broke his nose and they spent the rest of their date at the ER.

3. In the car

It was... Not a good idea. Elbows and knees bumping into eyes and faces. Uncomfortable as hell, and the weather didn't really permit these activities. Plus, Mike was terrified someone might see them (This was Ness's idea).

4. Public Bathroom

Another one of Ness's ideas!!! (The little freak). Mike was a flustered mess when Ness just dragged him into the disability stall and started tugging at his waist band. Ness's plan probably would have worked too, if someone in a wheelchair waiting for the stall didn't clear their throat and ask when the boys would be finished.

5. Road Head

Surprisingly, Mike's idea. Well, a handjob but Ness was a little too eager and went for the full on blowjob. Mike thought it would be fine because he was taking back roads to their date destination, that is until he saw the police lights. He muttered some "shit" s and "fuck" s as Ness struggled to fix Mike's pants. It was just Vanessa abusing her position of power to pull them over and say hi (and also get the tea on her OTP)

1. Sparky's After hours (this may become a full on fic)

Mike was so exhausted when Ness's shift was finally over, but he was surprised to find the diner completely empty, with the lights off and kitchen closed for the night. Ness had tipped out the staff to leave a little extra early and he did all the cleaning duties alone. He certainly found it worth it as he convinced Mike to toss him on a table and rail him into oblivion.

In the Margins of What We Know by Malora (January)

Snarry, 27700 words, epistolary fic

Snarry doesn't really get a lot of epistolary fic. So when I saw this one I was super excited. Love it. Really creative fic with a lot of scope/worldbuilding without a lot of words.

Magic and Botany: The Bamboo Forest of Li Xian (book excerpt) A bamboo forest is unusual compared to other forests in that its growth happens beneath the surface. The Bamboo Forest of Li Xian, in fact, could be considered one organism. There is a single root system for the entire forest. Two shoots of bamboo, seemingly distant, can be connected in ways that are not easily seen.

Heartwarming OTP fic! It's the best Snarry comfort food fic I read this year. Good vibes, sexy high chemistry, loving/intimate feels, brilliantly characterized, beautiful settings.

“One day…” He shakes his head and looks up at Harry, his eyes like coal. “Today,” Harry says. “Today, Severus; that’s what matters.” This is how, finally, Harry gets Severus to agree.

Coda to "Soft Touch" by @perverse-idyll (April)

Snarry, 3,300 words, Soft

Have recced before. Will rec again. Because everybody needs to read it for the soft tender vibes. Not really soft. But compared to the intense angsty fic this is a coda for, I feel like it's optimistic and soft and I just feel so happy for my OTP.

"Can a man not toss off in the privacy of his own room without being accused of sabotaging his bloody health? If you can't trust that I have a vested interest in my own recovery - "

Snape spotted Harry, and a flush raced from his collar up to his hairline, exquisitely pink beneath his unnaturally smooth skin. But although he swallowed his tirade, Snape didn't seem particularly put out by having practically shouted his masturbatory claims to the entire office.

Snarry, 27000 words. Intense/dirty bad/hot/wrong.

Exactly what I want from my Snarry! Honestly Danpuff is bringing the oldschool vibes of Snarry back with a bang in their fics every single time and I am just super spoiled now. Snarry forever :D Also love to see Danpuff going into longer fics this year!

Though the worst crime of all is Potter’s. "Did you want to die?" Also The boy knows — he knows — he can take anything he wants. That bitter surrender is surrender all the same. That the force of Severus’ loathing is fed by his longing.

Much Ado About Asmodeus by @ac1d6urn (June)

Fluff and crack! Really love the oldschool trope parody vibes of this fic. I actually haven't read something like this in a pretty long time. Going on my rereads! Also going on my holiday season reading list :D Also love to see Acid's insane prolific streak this year. I feel super spoiled as a reader! <3

Harry squinted against the rain and promptly attempted to expunge the phrase "Ventus Vultuosus, swish and flick when in a bind!" from his memory. Ugh. Curse you, Common Weather Weathering Spell #13! That'll be the last time I trust anything Witch Weekly puts out in fine print. (Except maybe that last fruitcake recipe.) Now that he thought about it, Auntie Annabelle's Advice Column on "Ten Ways of Bewitching and Beguiling Your Mr Right" didn't seem so reliable either, especially considering some of those later suggestions, and maybe even those in the middle too. Those were a bit wild.

Dumbledore saying "You disgust me" to people in his life but also meaning "I disgust myself". The more he sees himself in the other person, the more disgusted he gets. Intense, intense beautiful fic. But also healing because he finally overcomes that.

He disgusts you. Ratty, bony, skulking, pleading, raging, raving, frightened of the shadows and frightened of the fog, frightened of you. "You did not save Lily!" he yells. "You did not save James!" he weeps. "You did not save me!" he whimpers, and huddles into himself and trembles as if the North Sea is in his very veins.

Also the math works out!!! Snape/Dumbledore + Sirius/Dumbledore = Snack by proxy actually.

Why I like them: He's that guy that you THINK'S gonna be a total douche but is actually a really great guy once you get past first impressions. Liable to do something stupid trying to impress you. Dragon in human form. Canon fang haver. Brags about himself in the third person and should not be trusted with tapestries. Babygirl you need so much therapy /aff

Why I don’t: That hat that can't decide weather it's a sweatband or a beany. Seriously what is that thing on your head man

Favorite episode (scene if movie): Haven't watched any of his anime scenes tbh, kind of scared to after how dirty they did Leon. So I'll just use this section to show some love to the bit in Pokespe where he tries to take on Eternatus... himself. Not using a Pokemon.

Favorite season/movie: See above

Favorite line: ...I'm just gonna put "Especially you, Piers! The way you battled me in the Champion Cup... You really had my Dynamax Pokémon up against the wall!" and apologize profusely. Yes for ship reasons but also the fact that the guy starts hitting on a new rival in the middle of a Dynamax Pokemon rampage just feels weirdly on-brand?

Favorite outfit: Shout out to that slightly douchey waistcoat ensemble with the Flygon shades from Masters...which he has a matching stupid, stupid hat for.

OTP: Raihan/Leon/Piers and Raihan/Piers both qualify. Leon just straight up hits the "you don't even have to Ship It, some characters having had sex is just objective truth" threshold and they're often really sweet together, I just have to throw an alt boy in there too to get into it because my brain craves them like a body craves air. And Piers...they get tragically few scenes together but the ones they do get are so weirdly charged? Like someone else said there's a certain "should we be watching this?" energy to them lol

Brotp: Leon also goes here, mostly because coming up for platonic explanations for the sheer depth of Raihan's brain rot in regards to that man leads to some FASCINATING relationship dynamics. I'm a big believer that romantic vs platonic indicates a relationship type rather than inherently implying a hierarchy of importance and these two are a great outlet for mentally rotating those themes. Also he and Gordie are fun in Masters, I like to think that they became friends while having shared sadboy time in the locker room.

Head Canon: Probably my biggest is that with the way there's some pretty depressing shit left unsaid about the way he views himself, the occasional signs of anger issues he shows, and how he's the only member of The Rivalcule you don't meet the family of, the guy did NOT have a good childhood. On a lighter note, the guy has absolutely dogshit music taste. Like we're talking Skrillex and below here. The fact Piers doesn't strangle him over it is testament to the depth of his affection.

Unpopular opinion: Don't really have one?

A wish: Gigantamax Archaludon whenever the Galar remakes come out in 10-15 years, he deserves to just summon a wholeass suspension bridge (that notably has a weather-related signature move at that). And, well, just more of him in general.

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: Same as Piers, please don't throw this man into spacetime GameFreak 🤞

My friend approached me a while back like "I've been making dumb OTP questions if you want to answer some." And I was like "Hell yeah, shoot." So I thought I'd share my answers, since they were all InuKag ones. I had an absurd amount of fun thinking about these, cuz that's just how my brain works, apparently. ---- Q: If Kagome and Inuyasha were shiny [Pokemon], what color hair/eyes would they have? Inuyasha can't just be black. A: Hmmm... I guess Inuyasha would be gold since everyone tries to say his hair is silver, not white. Like full on sparkly metallic gold. Kagome can be blue because:

Q: If they were a season, what season is either one? A: Inuyasha is spring cuz he has a lot of energy and the "rebirth" theme with him being sealed and then brought back. Kagome is autumn because the manga starts in autumn which means it's her birthday, and she's vibrant but sensible like the colorful leaves without being OVERLY vibrant like spring would be. Q: What gemstone would either be? A: I think Inuyasha would be rose quartz because it reminds me of a heart and he's a loving boi who got ended and revived by different loves, and gets his strength from it because he's more capable of feeling it thanks to being half human. Kagome I think would be jade because it has healing and protection qualities and she's got spiritual powers and is usually the medic throughout the whole series. Plus her green school uniform aesthetic. Q: What is their favorite weather? A: Inuyasha likes it just after it rains because there are tons of different unearthed smells. Kagome likes light rain because the sound helps her focus and she gets an excuse to stay inside and be lazy with hot tea or baths. Q: What music genre does either seem to prefer? A: I think Inuyasha would like reggae or soft rock because that's what dogs are supposed to like according to studies, LOL. But they have a beat that appeals to his more upbeat energy while also being able to lull him into relaxing. I think Kagome would also like those genres but might have a soft spot for traditional Japanese music and mantras because she grew up in a shrine so she probably heard them through her childhood more than others might. Q: If they were a Pokemon, what type(s) would they be? A: Hmmm... Inuyasha would be Ground Type because he's named after a nature spirit and most of his attacks are wind-based, with another being diamonds, so very earthy. Maybe mixed with Dark Type because his final move is literally opening a portal to Hell, and because he turns human based on the moon cycle. Kagome is Fairy/Grass because of the whole holy powers and herb healing. (And Grass and Fairy both have the most healing type moves.) Q: What type of herb/plant would they be? A: Kagome is a yarrow because of the arrow pun and it meaning "healing, protection, and everlasting love". Inuyasha is an olive tree because he was literally looking for peace and friendship his entire life and like the whole dove thing he found it after a long wait. Q: What zodiac sign are they? A: Kagome is a Taurus and Inuyasha is an Aries. Cuz the colors AND the personality traits match up. ---- I love these types of questionnaires, and if anyone has different answers, I'd love to hear them!

Context: Silco is in a meeting that seems like it may never end. Just when he thinks he's about to strangle Finn to death, his phone nearly blows up with rapid fire texts, all from you. Dare he open the images you sent?

“Finn, I think someone of your intelligence quotient is in every aspect incapable of running an empire with any degree of stability, order, or disciplined followers.”

Silco’s voice cuts clear through the chembaron hall, dripping with annoyance and impatience. The meeting had dragged on with boring and fruitless reports from Smeech about his ends of the city, complaints from Chross about how much better commerce was a decade ago, and many other energy-draining topics. Silco’s resulting foul mood was leaving no room for argument, but of course Finn would resist anyhow.

“At least I keep my people under control.” Finn’s metal jaw shines as he rolls his head back, slouching against the hard frame of the chair. Improper brat.

“And of what use are any of your ‘controlled people’?” Silco asks, resisting the urge to arch his brow in question, to give Finn the satisfaction of a real argument.

Finn grumbles, bringing his head up and leaning his elbows onto the table. “I’m not a wrinkled shrew like you, old man. I have the will, the determination to do something better with my power than play lapdog for topside.”

Bz-zt! Bz-zt!

Silco’s phone hums from his back pocket, throwing him out of his rhythm for a moment. He pauses, eyes narrowing in wonder at who could be texting him. His shoulders roll forward and he continues.

“Yes, your determination,” he muses. “If only you put it into doing your job rather than scrambling for power.”

Finn twitches but Silco pays him no mind, his phone out of his pocket and turned face up in his hand. The notification center scrolls to the text messages he received.

And that’s your contact. Don’t you know he’s in a meeting? He told you where he was going before he left.

Silco looks down his nose and over the edge of his phone as he unlocks the device, watching Finn clench his teeth. So vain; his metal jaw giving away every movement of his face, light gliding across the silver plating as he grinds his teeth.

That’s right, seethe, boy. Silco smirks behind his screen, eyes falling to the messages app. Look how unimportant you are, look where my priorities lie.

Silco swallows the growl that crawls up his throat, his ogling glare raking slowly across his screen. Two photos of you, topless, breasts perfectly framed by your arms. The first photo is just a close-up, the valley of your chest taking up nearly the entirety of the picture. The second is zoomed out more, starring you in the red and black lingerie set he gifted a few months prior. You are sitting in his office chair, legs crossed one over the other and your hand in your lap with an unlit cigar. Draped over your shoulders and covering your arms is his coat. The one he left at the office, having deemed the weather too warm to wear it himself…

In his tight-collared maroon shirt, a wave of heat slithers down Silco’s body, blood rushing from one head to another looking at his pretty girl sitting at his desk with his coat and the lingerie he purchased. Janna, that’s good…

Just under the pictures is a message from you.

Awfully long meeting. Thought I’d keep you company ;)

Silco sends a quick text back.

Stop.

A typing bubble appears and Silco sets his phone down on the table, face up, to see what you tell him next.

“Something wrong, Silco?” Finn asks, spitting out the kingpin's name like poison. Silco pays it no mind, giving an idle shrug.

Bz-zt!

From you: Make me.

Silco frowns, almost feeling his blood pressure spike in his veins. “Your interference with things that don’t concern you is certainly one thing,” he quips, clicking his phone off and securing it once again in his back pocket. A quick turn on his heel and he’s walking out of the assembly hall, the door booming closed behind him.

Silco finds Sevika waiting at the elevator but he hardly waits for her once they reach the ground floor, slender legs carrying him straight to the Last Drop.

It’s about a 10 minute walk back to the club but it goes by in less than half that time as Silco powers through the crowds with practiced turns and dodges.

He’s tempted to take another glance at those pictures you sent him; they’re engraved in his mind, but not deep enough. Although your breasts are absolutely wonderful, he wants the small details. He wants to memorize the way your hair falls just into the frame of the picture, how the lace of the lingerie casts a shadow on your skin, the way your fingers curl so naturally around his cigar.

It’s not long before Silco is climbing the stairs of the bar and practically gliding past the balcony onward to the office.

His hand latches onto the knob and he’s pushing through the door, a keen smile beginning to grace his thin lips.

There you are, hardly a muscle moved since those pictures you sent him. Still wearing his coat, still wearing that red and black lingerie set, still so elegantly handling that cigar. In your other hand is a paper from his desk, likely a contract request, shipment files, an economic report, or perhaps a death threat.

You shift, legs uncrossing and the paper in your hand falling gently to the desk. “I didn’t expect you to be back so soon, I guess you really want to make me stop, mm?”

A shiver runs over Silco’s arms at the sound of your voice; a low hum, dripping with lust. He ignores the comment.

“I see donning my coat has you taking over my job,” Silco mutters, closing the door behind him with a soft click. The thump of his boots on the carpeted floor fills the silence before his hands come to hold him up against the desk.

“Despite your honorable photography skills, I can't let you get away with sending me such lewd material during a meeting,” Silco grumbles, pinching your jaw between three fingers. “I thought you were going to be a good girl for me.”

Your mouth falls slightly open and Silco treasures the sight, curious as to what your reaction would be to him oh-so-slowly parting your lips with his thumb.

“I would have rewarded you for being patient, for waiting until I got back when I planned to be back.”

Silco's grip on your chin tightens and he watches as you gradually shrink under him, the power you originally had wearing his coat draining before his very eyes. Precious thing.

“I’m sorry,” you whimper meekly, shoulders falling out of posture. Silco hums and settles on the desk.

“I’m afraid ‘sorry’ won’t cut it, princess.” His voice drops to a whisper as he leans into you, blade-like nose a scant inch from yours.

“Out of the chair,” he instructs, waiting patiently for you to drag yourself and your anticipation up so he could take back his throne. Silco pats his leg. “Over my knee.” And Janna he doesn't waste a second devouring the realization that sets over your face, the widening of your eyes, the crease in your brow. Now you know what you're in for.

Silco holds back a sick grin, hand patting his leg again.

But then something changes; you recover yourself, your eyes narrow, you break into a mischievous smile, and Silco all but braces himself for the words he knows you won't be able to resist saying.

“Make me.”
