💭 If you’re still doing these: Kit’s impression of Cooper? 👀
Kit slowly approached the red pickup - hood lifted, smoke drifting up from the engine into the sky - with her handgun at the ready, half expecting another Peggie, she was surprised when she was greeted by a man resembling anything but a cult member.
Cowboy hat, cropped tee, and a cherub's worth of golden curls - Kit froze, taken aback by the tanned muscles and the stunning smile of the man who looked like he belonged more in the centerfold of an adult magazine than in Hope County.
"Howdy darlin'"
Kit furrowed her brow, taking a step back and slipping her gun back into her holster, she cleared her throat and flexed her shoulders. "You picked a bad place to break down. Nearly shot you. You know we're in the middle of a war zone, right?"
"Chaos doesn't really bother me."
Kit looked him over again, trying not to make it obvious she was ogling the man (she was no John Seed after all) but even she had to admit she was rather taken with his charms already. She never thought cowboy would be her type, but she'd been proven wrong about that type of thing before.

💭what would Esther think of Cooper?
Esther sped down the hill toward a massive jump. Her helmet long gone, laughing loudly. There were easily hundred different ways to get to the Moonflower trailer park; all of them safer than the path she chose. But none of them were nearly as fun.
She bounced in her seat as she cleared the jump landing hard. Honking as she sped toward the trailer park. Sharky looked up, and tapped his friend Cooper on the shoulder.
"Her she comes man. You're gonna love her she's nuts."
Cooper looked up as she came skidding to a halt and climbed out of the car. She smiled broadly at them, her copper waves a tangled mess.
"Hey Sharky! No starting any fires right?"
Her tone was bright and only a little nagging. She noticed Cooper with his friendly grin and golden curls. He tipped his cowboy hat to her.
"Howdy Miss"
She couldn't help but smile at him.
"Hello to you too sugar. I'm Esther and you must be Cooper. Sharky's mentioned a few times. I hope you two aren't getting into too much trouble."
Esther glanced over at Sharky with a mischievous grin.
"Sharky you didn't tell me your new friends was so cute. Almost as pretty as my hummingbird. At this rate Hope County's gonna be able to make up one those dirty calenders."

“I swear the Opossum boy tried to bite me again! - No it was really him, believe me!”
Sure Cooper, we all believe you *not*
Here we have another redraw I just finished. You can see Cooper (who belongs to @strafethesesinners) who thinks some weird boy bit him. Tsk. Hallucinations I bet.
Hope y’all like it too!

And here’s the comparison to the first art that was based on a small fun story!

FAR CRY OC TOURNAMENT: FINAL ROUND!! Kit Cross V Cooper McCoy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Voting and Info under the cut!
Kit Cross (@socially-awkward-skeleton)
About: Kit Cross, former soldier turned Deputy for the Hope County Sheriff's Department. She's cold and ruthless and all too happy to take out Peggies, until of course the Seeds start digging their fingers in and she becomes a feral and savage member of the cult's army better known as "The Lion".
Does your OC have anything to share?: "I've killed more people than I can remember, I won't be losing any sleep over a few more."
Cooper McCoy (@strafethesesinners)
About: Cooper McCoy is an ex-drug smuggler on the run from the law. He is hiding out in plain sight, pretending to be a sheriff’s deputy in Hope County, Montana. Through years of training and experience as the muscle for his drug smuggling gang, Cooper has honed his combat skills to perfection. He especially excels at hand to hand combat, and is much faster and stealthier than he looks. When he’s not fighting, Cooper is friendly, generous, flirty, and charming. Being half Australian and half Texan, Cooper is in love with the cowboy aesthetic.
Does your OC have anything to share?: “Come at me, partner”
Anything else we should know?: Cooper is just as likely to charm or seduce his way out of trouble as he is to fight. Though he won’t hesitate to react with extreme aggression if provoked. Cooper tends not to go for the kill unless absolutely necessary, preferring to incapacitate his opponents instead. Cooper is bisexual.
Coopers art is by @iigo-art
If contestants have any propaganda be sure to @ me with it

I’m so mad y’all. How did I not know a) what Kellan Lutz looks like now and b) that he looks more like Cooper than CHems does. Wtf.
I supposed it’s too late to change faceclaims at this point but. Damn. (Picture below cut for evidence).

💭 I’m dying to know Cal’s thoughts about Cooper
Tumblr media
now, this would be in an AU where Sabrina and Savannah aren't staying at the ranch after the start of the Reaping.
we're going Goldilocks-esc hehe (totally blame Calahan for this parallel), with a side of destruction of property and other things. 🤷‍♀️ NSFW, kinda?
"Another one, gorgeous.", Calahan called out to Mary May, who was at the far end of the bar, speaking to a customer. That night, he found himself over John Seed's general existence and stifling presence in the region on an new level. She didn't make him wait long as she refilled his drink again, then asked, "Should I just leave you the whole bottle?" "Fuck. Might be a good idea. Thank you." Minutes passed where he searched for tranquility at the bottom of the glass, but that never came, his desire to cause destruction didn't die down. The Spead Eagle was more full than usual, but people kept their distance from him, sensing his sour mood. Must be something about my face. Or more likely his bloody knuckles after he had gotten carried away with another capture party sent his way. The bell above the bar's door signaled the arrival of a new patron, but he didn't bother to turn around. "A toast to you fuckers. Hope you ain't too hot down there.", he muttered out loud and raised his glass. At that exact moment, the empty seat next to him finally became occupied. A cowboy hat was placed down on the bar next to his hand. "What are we celebratin'?", the newcomer asked, which made Calahan's eyes shift to him. "The death of more of John's men.", he replied as he took in the blond guy he hadn't seen around the Valley before. "I'd drink to that. With pleasure.", the stranger smirked as he lifted a finger to Mary May in a sign he wants a drink. While he waited, he reached out a hand to Hartley, "Cooper McCoy. Howdy, Deputy?" Calahan grunted, letting Cooper's hand hang in the air, as he found himself dreading anyone's company. After a beat, the man took the hint, giving up on the handshake, but still smiling as he concluded, "Someone ain't in the mood tonight, huh?" Hartley took another swig, paying more attention to the liquor as it slid down his throat than to his words, hoping the newcomer would give up on socializing soon. "How about we make things fun?", Cooper broke the silence again, clearly set on turning him into his drinking buddy for some reason, "I sure can use it, you look like it, too." What the hell. I'd bite. "What do you have in mind?" "We hit John's ranch, heard he would be away tonight… why not have his blood pressure raise up a little when he returns?", Cooper quirked an eyebrow. "You're speaking my language now.", Calahan smiled at the idea, at endless possibilities the plan presented.
"Shall we then?", Cooper didn't wait for a reply, instead he put his hat back on and grabbed the bottle left at the bar and strode outside. "I'm heading out, gorgeous.", Hartley announced, and Mary May gave him a nod paired with "Stay safe." As he passed through the door and was hit by the night air that sobered him up, his eyes found Cooper standing by a pickup truck. The second he saw him, he climbed in the driver's seat, and Calahan wasted no time before he got in as well. He laughed internally at the thought of how Sabrina would warn him about going places with strangers he'd just met, but in the times of a war with a cult, you had to learn to lean on people. He couldn't deny he had a good feeling about McCoy as the man sped off towards John's ranch. Minutes later, they were breaking the side door's window of the bastard's house and letting themselves in. It didn't take long before the first floor was completely trashed. A record truly. "We're just getting started, Deputy.", Cooper cheered as he threw Joseph's portrait in the fireplace while Calahan took a swig from the bottle of liquor before passing it to him. "I'm heading upstairs, have been dying for a proper, uninterrupted shower." Hartley took the stairs two at a time as he heard more sounds of destruction coming from the living room and dark laughter. He checked each door until he found John's bedroom, taking his sweet time to rummage through every drawer for anything of interest before emptying out whatever he could on the floor. The bastard's clothes ended in a huge pile at his feet.
Should I burn them? Or throw them over the balcony? Nah. Focus. Shower first.
He marched over to the bathroom, eyeing the crimson bathrobe that hung on the door with disgust. For him, it was another symbol of John's hypocrisy. Living his best life while we're all fighting to stay alive. He striped off his clothes, jumping in the shower, reveling in the quiet and the feeling of the hot water against his tense muscles as it finally washed away the blood from his most recent fight. When he exited the stall, he grabbed the robe and put it on, then picked up his clothes on his way out. When he returned to the bedroom, Hartley found Cooper lounging at the edge of John's bed. "What are you up to, Goldilocks?" "It got boring without ya.", Cooper chuckled as his blue eyes ran over his body, "Damn, even his robe has their goddamned symbol?" "Yeah.", Calahan muttered as he lit a cigarette and made a move to grab the bottle from Cooper's outstretched hand, but the man had other ideas. He discarded it on the bed and rose up, coming closer to Hartley. His gaze was glued to his as he snatched the cigarette from his lips and took a generous pull from it. "Stealing my nicotine now, Cooper?", Calahan teased. "Want me to return it, Deputy?" Before he could remark anything about the strange suggestion, Cooper clashed his lips to his, blowing the smoke into his mouth before backing away with a satisfied smirk and passing back the cigarette. Now, that's a surprise. They stood with barely any distance between them, facing each other while Hartley smoked, Cooper's gaze darkening more and more as the cigarette shortened. "Up for some more fun?", he muttered as Calahan put it out finally, tossing the bud on the ground for John to find. His partner in crime's face revealed nothing of what he had in mind. "I'm listening." "Maybe we try that bed of his? Get rid of your bad mood completely… Been told I'm good at that." When Hartley didn't reply right away, uncertainty flashed in Cooper's eyes for a brief second. "Taking the Goldilocks role seriously, I see.", Calahan uttered out as his hand tangled in his blond locks, pulling him closer as he added, "Sounds like a plan." Their lips met in an actual kiss this time while Cooper's fingers undid the belt of the bathrobe and slipped underneath the material as Hartley asked, "You gonna put that hat back on for me or?"

💭 Sybille’s thoughts on Cooper?
ahhhh thank you! have a little bit of syb and cooper waking up from their most recent stoner film adventure lol. Coop's maybe a bit quieter here than he normally is but he's also hungover so...i hope i did him enough justice ;w;
Cooper goddamn McCoy has a hell of a way of bringing out the absolute worst of her in the best way possible. He's her favorite enabler.
What had started as a simple night drinking turned into what must’ve been a series of poorly made gambles because the two of them had woken up four days later somewhere in the mountains wearing Cheeseburger costumes from the F.A.N.G. Center that were covered in blood.
Fresh blood.
Sybille moans, pressing her palm against her head. Her temples throb and she’s not entirely sure if she’s still got something Tweak gave her pumping in her veins or ambient Bliss causing the glimmering lights to dance in her vision. Christ her head hurts.
“Jesus,” she hisses under her breath at the exact same time Cooper groans, “Sunnuva bitch.”
She pops the obnoxiously large bear-shaped mascot head off her costume and throws it to the side. Cooper does the same and the two of them sit in the grass, staring at each other dumbfoundedly.
“The fuck happened last night?” Sybille asks?
Cooper hushes her with a meandering shush. “Words too bright,” he groans.
Sybille ignores him and squints, taking in their surroundings. “Where are we?”
“Dunno,” Cooper groans.
“Well, whose region are we in?”
“Dunnoooo.”
“‘S too warm to be the Whitetails,” she says slowly. “‘N those trees look like the ones in the Valley. I think we’re in the Valley.” She grows more confident in her assessment as she says it aloud. She stretches her arm out, slapping lightly at her companion. “Hey. Hey, we’re in the Valley.”
“Okay."
They sit there in silence for a long moment.
“We should probably try to find a road. Make our way back to town….or just someone’s house…” Cooper says.
Sybille groans, but she gets up, wobbling on her legs like a newborn deer. Her stomach churns and bile rises in her throat. “Oh God,” she breathes, She leans over with her hands on her knees to catch her breath. “Okay. Okay….” She rises. “Let’s go.”
She helps Cooper up to his feet and the two begin to stumble their way down the mountain.
“Fuck, this is Testy Festy all over again ain’t it?” Cooper says after a while.
Sybille snorts, and picks her way over a gnarled system of tree roots. “Yeah, well at least then we were close to town. I ain’t got no clue where we are.”
“You remember anything from last night?” Cooper asks.
“No,” she answers. “You?”
“No…” Cooper says. “Shit. That ain’t good…what’s the last thing you remember?”
Sybille pauses, thoughtfully scrolling back until she finds something other than a black void. “We was at the Spread Eagle. Just came back from blowin’ up John’s sign. Came in for a victory round…”
“Oh yeah,” Cooper says. Then he starts laughing. “Some asshole bet we couldn’t do a Clutch Nixon stunt!”
“Shit, Cooper, what’d I tell you about gamblin’?” Sybille scolds.
“You were the one who made the bet!” Cooper exclaims.
What? No way. That can’t be right. But no -- wait…shit, maybe she did. She wracks her brain, scrubbing through her memories like it’s security camera footage. And lo and behold, she gets a flash of spitting in her own hand and shaking another man’s for a friendly wager of 500 bucks and an endless supply of moonshine if she and Cooper could not only pull off one Clutch Nixon stunt, but all of them.
She doesn’t remember the stipulation for losing, but given her and Cooper’s current state of affairs, she doesn’t feel too worried about that.
Shit. She really is her daddy’s daughter, huh?
“Well, I think we won that bet,” she says flippantly. She’s then hit with another wave of nausea and almost vomits. “Shit. How many drugs did we take to pull that off?”
“All of them I think,” Cooper responds. And then he asks: “So, how do you think the bear suits came into play? And whose blood do you think this is?”
“No fuckin’ clue. ‘M sure Mary May will tell us when we get back,” Sybille sighs. She and Cooper are a riptide of destruction that puts Hurk and Sharky as a duo to shame. Half the county must be up in smoke after what they got up to, and hopefully a few Peggies fewer than before their memory failed them. It’s fun -- Cooper’s fun, Sybille thinks. Doin’ dumb and reckless shit makes me feel like a teenager again.
They lapse into silence, continuing on for another twenty minutes before seeing a break in the trees. Paved road. With a directional sign pointing towards Falls End. Just ten miles East! Both of them breathe out a sigh in relief.
“You wanna get a beer after this?” Cooper asks.
“Yeah, sure,” Sybille sighs. “Why not?” Whatever shit the two of them got up to, she needs to drink it off. And there’s no better drinking buddy she could ask for than Cooper McCoy.

Lion and Lamb
Rating: T
TW: Epilepsy/seizures
Fandom: Far Cry 5
The OCs:
Joy Seed: The thought dead daughter of Joseph Seed. Due to her almost death at birth she is mostly mute and speaks using ALS. She's come back to bring her family to justice.
Cooper McCoy: @strafethesesinners's OC. Cowboy criminal posing as a Deputy of Hope County. Currently dating Ryan.
Ryan Erkhart: Cityboy paramedic who moved suddenly from New York City to Montana. Currently dating Cooper.
--------------
“No, Ryan I’ll see you tonight.” Cooper tapped his foot slightly impatiently. He loved his boyfriend but he was more interested in getting back to teaching Joy than talking on the phone. “Ok, love you too, bye.”
Cooper hung up with a sigh. Joy was still practicing the forms he showed her earlier. His face softened to a smile. He really had become fond of the young teen. She was hard working despite her disadvantages. Scrappy, he called her affectionately. He could see her working up a sweat from here. He walked back over and whistled sharply at her to get her attention. Her eyes snapped over to him immediately.
“Hey, kiddo. How about we try something new! Try and hit a moving target. Just try and punch me and I will dodge out of the way or block you.” Cooper settled into a fighting stance.
Joy quirked an eyebrow up at him but also mirrored Cooper’s stance. She let out a short breath before striking first with a quick jab. Cooper blocked the fist coming at him but found himself caught slightly off guard by how fast she was. He quickly refocused and dodged her next punch.
He almost laughed at the adorable pout on her face when she realized her first attack didn’t work. She settled back down and tried again. Cooper watched her move. She was too direct. She was quick but he could predict her next move and see it coming.
“You gotta be lighter on your feet and try different angles! You aren’t gonna surprise me if you always go straight for me!” Cooper explained.
Joy was breathing hard and her hair was plastered to her head from sweat. Cooper made note of her endurance. It was obvious that Joy didn’t have much stamina. They would need to work on that.
When it was obvious that Joy was tiring and throwing less attacks. Cooper paused for a moment and decided to switch it up.
“Ok now reverse. I’ll be trying to hit you so just work on your evasiveness.” Cooper didn’t want to hurt her so he knew he was going to have to hold back a lot but it was the only way for her to grow.
Joy nodded and tried to catch her breath before getting into a defensive stance. Cooper tested the waters and started with a soft right hook which she quickly dodged. Cooper smiled. She had a lot of potential and had grown so much since they first started. He decided to step it up a little and tried a combo attack. She managed to move out of the way of the kick but his punch grazed her side.
“Don’t leave your side open when you are dodging.” Cooper corrected her.
He paused with a frown as he noticed her movements getting more sluggish and her eyes glazed over slightly.
“Why don’t we take a quick break?” Cooper stood up straight.
Joy nodded as she panted heavily. Cooper watched her walk over to get water and once he was satisfied she was getting hydrated he turned to see who called him. Sheriff Whitehorse, of course. He rolled his eyes and glanced over at Joy who was sitting now in the grass. He probably could call him back quickly.
“Hey sheriff, what’s up?” Cooper walked inside to get more water.
“Listen, I know you are always picking up an extra shift but we need you to come in tonight for a few hours.”
“What? Why can’t Joey or Pratt do it?” Cooper grumbled. “I covered two shifts last week.”
“Sorry Dep, but it’s all hands on deck.” Whitehorse said plainly. “Are you with Joy? I need her to come in too. I just need to speak with her about an upcoming project for her.”
“Fine fine, I’ll come in and I’ll bring Joy.” Cooper sighed heavily.
“Great. It will just be a few hours.” Whitehorse said placatingly.
Cooper hung up without another word. He was getting tired fast of this whole overtime thing. He knew that everyone was working hard to bring down the cult but he didn’t see why it couldn’t wait. It wasn’t like the Seeds were going anywhere.
Cooper walked back outside with a refill on water. When he stepped back out he dropped his water bottle in fear. Joy was where he left her but she was convulsing violently.
“Joy!” Cooper ran over and once again felt out of his depth. He swore he cared and that he was paying attention about Joy’s health conditions but sometimes it was hard for him to remember things and pay attention. He kicked himself mentally. He needed Ryan.
Cooper dug his phone out of his pocket and called Ryan. “C’mon, cmon, pick up!” Cooper begged.
The line continued ringing and Cooper knew he wasn’t going to pick up. Ryan was at work and probably on a call of his own. Joy was almost foaming at the mouth and drooling everywhere. Her limbs hadn’t stopped moving since Cooper ran over. He tried to catch her limbs and hold them down in hopes she wouldn’t hit herself but he couldn’t hold his phone and her limbs and she needed help first.
“Fuck!” Cooper exclaimed. He hung up the phone and dialed 911 instead.
“911 what’s your emergency?”
“We need an ambulance at 567 Albion Rd. We have a 15 year old girl having a seizure. I don’t know what to do.” Cooper tried to keep calm but there was a hint of panic in his voice.
“Ok sir, an ambulance is on the way. How long has she been having the seizure?”
“I don’t know. I went inside to get water and I came back out and she was just on the ground.” Cooper slammed his fist down into the dirt.
“Ok, is she still having a seizure? What kind of seizure is it?” The woman asked calmly.
“Yeah she’s still shaking and shit. I don’t know what you call that. Just the normal seizure where you move your limbs.”
“Ok sir, I need you to roll her to her side so she doesn’t choke on her own spit.”
Cooper nodded and gently rolled her shaking body to the side. His hands were trembling slightly. Her skin was hot and sticky under his fingers and he could feel her muscles jerking violently. He almost forgot what it was like to care for someone who relied on him. Memories of comforting his sibling when they were throwing up surfaced in his brain. He almost forgot. He slowly rubbed circles in her back reassuringly.
“You’ll be ok, Joy.” He muttered softly.
“Ok sir, does she have a history of seizures in the past?”
“Yeah… I don’t know the specifics. I don’t know much about this at all sorry…” Cooper cursed himself.
He promised he would do better.
“No sir, that 's alright. Just don’t try to restrain her in any way, don’t put anything in her mouth including water or food, move anything out of the way that could harm her, and check for any injuries if she might have fallen.”
Cooper nodded heavily then realized he was speaking to someone on the phone, “yeah ok.”
He gently ran his fingers through her hair and felt for any injuries. Thankfully, he didn't see anything. He let out a nervous breath.
“I don’t see any injuries. I think she was sitting when it happened.”
“That’s good. Sometimes people can sense when they are going to have a seizure and will place themselves on the ground to prevent themselves from harming themselves. Is she still seizing?”
Cooper gently ran his fingers through her hair. It had been a while since he was asked to do a girl’s hair. He remembered all the fancy braids he would put in his sister’s hair.
“Yeah, she’s still shaking. Is it supposed to last this long?”
“Most seizures don’t last more than two minutes and since you don’t know when she started we have to assume that this is more than two minutes.”
Cooper sniffled. He felt so useless and out of his depth. It was almost unsettling to see her so defenseless and jerking so helplessly. By some miracle he felt the tension in her body slowly leave as she became motionless. In some ways it was almost just as scary to see her suddenly stop moving. She fluttered her eyes open but didn’t seem like she was looking at anything in particular.
“Joy?” Cooper called to her.
“Sir, is she awake?”
“Yeah. She doesn’t seem to be right though.” Cooper said worriedly.
“That’s ok. When people have seizures they sometimes go through a time afterwards where they are very groggy and confused. The ambulance is about three minutes away. Just stay with her and don’t give her anything to eat or drink. Good luck.”
“Thank you.” Cooper said as he hung up.
“Cooper?”
“Ryan!” Cooper looked up with relief.
“What the fuck happened?” Ryan ran over and looked at Joy.
Cooper felt the guilt almost choking him, “I dunno I went to get water and I came out and she was having a seizure.”
“How long?” Ryan motioned over to his partner to bring the bags.
“I dunno. I talked to Whitehorse and then came right back out.” Cooper backed away as he watched Ryan get to work.
“Ok well we have to assume she was seizing the whole time. Meaning about ten minutes.” Ryan shook his head. “That’s too long.”
“Ok let’s get her into the truck and go.” Ryan instructed and they quickly lifted her onto the stretcher and into the ambulance.”
“Can I come with you?” Cooper looked up at him nervously. He wasn't sure if Ryan was mad at him for not taking better care of her but he certainly felt like he failed.
“No, just take the car and meet us at the hospital.” Ryan shook his head.
“Ok.” Cooper said in a small voice.
Ryan hesitated, “it’s gonna be alright Cooper, seizures are scary but Joy is tough. She’s been through way more than this.”
Cooper nodded and watched them drive away. He got into his own car and started driving. He had a very interesting call to Whitehorse to make.
“McCoy, you better not be trying to get out of this.”
“No, Joy is on the way to the hospital with Ryan. She’s had a seizure.” Cooper said flatly.
“Goddamn it. Ok. Go to the hospital but I need you here extra tomorrow.” Whitehorse sighed loudly. “Tell her to get well soon and I wish her the best.”
Cooper grunted in acknowledgment before hanging up. Bosses were the same everywhere he guessed. Care about work first and the employees second.
————
“Hey,” Cooper walked into the hospital room where Ryan was sitting by Joy’s side.
“Hey, babe. We just talked to the nurse and the doctor will be in soon.” Ryan stood and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
“How are you doing?” Cooper reached out to rub her arm.
“Thank you. I am ok.” Joy signed.
“I was so worried about you. I’m sorry I couldn’t have been more helpful. I promise to be better and learn more about your condition.” Cooper’s voice wavered slightly.
Ryan put a hand on his shoulder, “I think both of you should read up on epilepsy.”
Cooper wiped his eyes of the tears that didn’t quite fall, “what do you mean?”
“Are you going to tell him or should I?” Ryan looked at Joy who suddenly had a guilty look on her face. Cooper sensed there was something he was missing.
Joy picked at the blanket and didn’t seem like she was going to say anything. There was a tense moment before Ryan sighed.
“Teenagers,” he muttered under his breath. He turned and looked at Cooper and spoke clearly, “Joy decided to stop taking her medications cold turkey.”
“What?” Cooper jerked back in shock. “Why? Why would you do that?”
She didn’t look at either of them for a while. She continued to play with the blanket.
“I don’t get it. Do you just not care anymore?” Cooper could still barely believe it.
Joy looked at him with sharp eyes but there were unshed tears in the corner. She was breathing heavily trying to hold back her tears. They held eye contact for a while. Before she shifted her eyes to the side.
“I just sometimes feel like I hate how much shit I’m putting into my body. The medications also make me feel sick sometimes. I just wanted to be clear.” She finally explained.
All the anger melted away. Ryan glanced at Cooper before taking a deep breath.
“Joy, you shouldn’t worry about the medication doses unless they are affecting you then maybe you need to adjust your dose but that’s for the doctors to decide what is safe. Not you. You can’t just stop suddenly.” Ryan sat next to her and held her hand. “You are a brilliant and strong young girl but you are also a teenager and you sure do some dumb shit sometimes so I guess we won’t be too mad this time.”
“Ryan is right,” Cooper nodded alongside Ryan. “You scared the shit out of me today.”
Joy nodded. She reached out and wrapped her arms around both of them. Cooper held her tightly. He hadn’t felt this kind of ache in a while. He wondered if his siblings would still feel the same way about him.
