e. jack: prefers to be in touch with his senses completely. afraid that if he's too careless he'll go all spooky cannibal demon on everyone. doesn't mind when other people do it, though. 0/10 just cause he doesn't smoke.

l. jack: never let this thing near any drugs ever. i feel like drugs wouldn't even work on them??? stoned toby once tried to get them to smoke cause he thought it'd be funny. they ate the joint. -1/10.

masky/tim: prefers his cigarettes. he already has issues with the constant DID switching he doesn't need anymore time skips or anything. likes feeling in control. in high school and college before it all got bad he definitely blazed it up though. 6/10 for past experience.

hoodie/brian: 100% was the one blazing it up with tim in school. hits pipes like a PRO. sometimes smokes with toby if they've been on good terms/its been a good day and the proxies aren't at each others throats. 8/10.

natalie: dooooeeessss not like not being in full control. can't handle it and it freaks her out big time. she'll start getting triggering flashbacks if she's high enough. when her and toby were dating she fucking hated whenever he got high. for effort, 2/10.

nina: the gf who looooooovessss weed and then is gone by the first hit. definitely takes a way too big hit and throws up after trying to impress everyone. she likes fruity vapes and puts stickers on them. 7/10.

jane: NU-UH!!!! does not go near drugs of any kind and gets nervous around intoxicated people. keeps her guard up when she's around anyone like that. she did once help natalie to her room when she was stoned though. and for that mom energy, 1/10.

ben: i have this little hc that ben just kinda. gets shit for people. being a part of the internet he can get anything ordered, anything shipped anywhere. as a fee he likes to charge people in weed (or something sexual if he's being a nuisance and likes the person). has never once bought his own bud and doesn't keep track of it. you'll get strawberry cheesecake and banana pudding in one bowl and you'll fucking like it. nobody will smoke with him due to that. 9/10 tho he blazes it up.

kate: never learned how to do any of that and doesn't really feel like learning. hates people too much to ask someone to teach her. gets intimidated whenever she sees toby and brian work out the mechanics of it all. 1/10 poor baby.

liu: DOES NOT PARTAKE IN ANY OF THESE ACTIVITIES AT ALL ‼️🙅 acts like he's too high (lol) above to do drugs. in reality he's just too awkward and scared to ask anyone to smoke with him. if anything he would have a dab pen cause he can't roll or pack for shit. 3/10 you'll get there one day buddy.

helen: casually smokes here and there to relax himself. not addicted, more of a recreational/medicinal user. 8/10.

puppeteer: this fucking GUY. in competition with toby for highest tolerance/biggest stoner. i mean look at him he's a theater kid and he has a beanie. thats like 100% stoner material. smokes blunts like theres no tomorrow. 11/10.

zero: definitely makes it into a competition and judges people if they can't handle a hit/finish their milk. every single time accidentally gets way too stoned trying to beat everyone. worst person to smoke with but her tolerance is incredible. 7/10.

jason: believes he has better things to do than get high and do drugs. always busy with his 'work' and his companions (the circus pastas) feel the same. 0/10.

Kaz Brekker didn’t know how he never noticed it before.

When it came to you, he typically was so attentive, noticing even the smallest details. And he did technically notice all the symptoms; the way you were always cold, the way your wounds would take longer to heal, or how you would sleep too much or none at all. But it wasn’t until The Crows were gathered for brunch one Sunday morning that Kaz finally put all the pieces together.

It was a joyous occasion, and despite being some of the most secretive people in the Barrel, the seven of you made quite a ruckus. But it was joyful, everyone teasing and messing with each other. Weekly brunch was Nina’s idea, her having lamented that she never got to see everyone all together anymore. So everyone agreed that once a week, they would all get together, the true Crow Club.

And every week, you would join in on the fun, laughing and joking with everyone. But as Kaz watched you nonchalantly tell the waitress, “Oh, I’m not really hungry”, that something clicked in his brain.

As the gears in Kaz’s mind began to turn, he soon came to realize that you said that every week. And beyond that, Kaz couldn’t recall a time where you had eaten a full meal around him or any of The Crows. It was plausible that you ate alone or when Kaz wasn’t around, but when compared with some of your other behaviors and symptoms, Kaz was fairly sure of what was happening.

Not wanting to cause more distress, Kaz had the good sense enough to leave you be during the brunch. But the moment the both of you got back to the club, he uttered only three words as he walked pass.

“My office, now.”

Despite being close with Kaz, those words still brought a chill up your spine. Cautiously you followed your friend up the stairs and into his office, following his gesture to sit down. For a while, the two of you sat in silence, Kaz staring at you with his chin resting on his clasped gloved hands.

Finally, you couldn’t take it any longer. “Is there someth-“

“Do you have an eating disorder?”

You weren’t sure what you had expected Kaz to talk to you about, but it was certainly not that. Your jaw slack, you rapidly blinked, trying to collect your thoughts.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Kaz’s eyes narrowed. “Do you have an eating disorder?”

You started breathing rapidly, wondering how this man had put the pieces together when you had been so careful to hide it. “I’m fine Kaz.”

“Why don’t you eat with us? Or ever?”

“I-I,” Your words failed you, your brain trying to find some way to combat Kaz’s questions. “Like I said, I’m totally fine. I’m just not hungry a lot.”

With a deep sigh, Kaz got up and moved around the table to sit next to you. When you looked into his eyes, you were surprised by just how gentle they were. “You don’t have to lie to me…or to yourself.”

As you saw the pure concern and affection in Kaz’s gaze, you felt the dams break. Tears freely fell from your eyes as the fears you had been holding in for so long finally came out. Kaz gently placed his hand on your back, trying his best to show comfort and support.

“I don’t-I don’t like my body. Or me in general. Or life. I just…” You trailed off, hanging your head. “I just thought that if I could control what I ate, everything would be so much better.”

“And did it?”

Closing your eyes, you let the truth come out in the smallest whisper. “No.”

“I didn’t think so.” Kaz responded, his voice thoughtful. “Do you want to get better?”

Slightly surprised by the question, you looked back up into Kaz’s eyes. “I—I think so. I’m just scared of what might happen.”

Kaz took his hand off your back and took your hand instead. “You don’t have to go through this alone.” He promised.

“You want to help me?” You asked, searching for any sign of doubt or falsehood in Kaz’s eyes.

But as his blue eyes pierced your soul, you felt the truth of his words. “Every step of the way.”

Good to his word, Kaz Brekker was there for you through everything. He found the best physician and psychologist in Ketterdam, and he was there for every meeting to be a support. Kaz also let you tell the other Crows at your own pace, but when you did, your support system went from one to six instantly. Your little family was there for you, and even though you were scared, it gave you comfort.

Following the treatment plan was difficult. The old inner demons that had haunted you for so long constantly reappeared, making eating difficult. But Kaz and the Crows made sure that you were never alone at mealtime, and they never shamed you for struggling with a particular food or for needing more time. So slowly, with the help of everyone and especially Kaz, bit by bit you learned to heal your relationship with food and your body.

It was a surprisingly clear and sunny Sunday that spring when Ketterdam’s deadliest gang walked down the street, laughing and cajoling the whole way. Upon entering the familiar restaurant, all seven of the crows managed to squeeze into their familiar booth, with only a few complaints and pokes along the way. As you all settled in, a serving girl came up to the table.

You and Kaz were sitting closest to the edge, but the girl elected to talk to you first. “Are you ready to order?”

Kaz held his breath as he watched you hesitate for a moment, looking at the menu on the table.

Looking back up at the serving girl, a bright smile adorned your face. “I’ll have [your favorite breakfast food], please.”

The girl nodded as she wrote down your order, and moving on to Nina, who launched into her elaborate waffle order. But Kaz felt his heart swell with pride, knowing deep down the effort that you were putting in. Kaz reached out underneath the table, and softly he took your hand inside his gloved one. Slightly surprised, you looked up at him, but looking into Kaz’s eyes told you everything he couldn’t say aloud.

Gently squeezing Kaz’s hand in return, you looked around at the little family you and he had built. The journey ahead was long, but your future was bright and full of love.

he is excellent at knitting and sewing, he taught himself how to knit scarfs and sweaters and taught himself how to sow up tattered clothing/and or create his own clothing!! He’s also very much willing to teach others how to knit as well. He gifts the other residents of the manor scarfs of their favorite colors during the winter and autumn seasons. Liu’s scarf had been torn a good few times so whenever kagekao gets the chance he’d help repair it, he does so for the others as well!!

Jeff the killer:

Emotional drunk. They don’t get violent in any way while they are drunk, oh no no no. He’s literally the biggest cry baby when he’s drunk. Most people believe that Jeff is a asshole but when you really get to know the dude all he wants is a good hug. And with people they really trust he won’t hesitate to break down in their arms crying, whether he’s sober or not. 

Toby:

Brings animals back to the manor. Could be the poisonous thing known to man kind and he’d still bring it home just because it had a minor scratch on it. This man cares for animals like his life depends on it. If he was never dragged along by slender he would’ve probably been a veterinarian! His love for animals is probably the reason why the rake and SeedEater like him so much, next to Jack ofc because they luv Jack but they luv Toby too! He brings them little Knick knacks and makes sure they are fed well, even if they are usually fed, a snack never hurts!

Lazari:

She isn’t as shitty as everyone makes her out to be lmao, she was terrified of Jack at first cause she thought it was like a minion working for zalgo or sumthin but turns out it’s a random entity that spawned with no eyes and ate kidneys. She still doesn’t like it all that much tho, she actually doesn’t like most of the pasta residents. The only one she really likes is Sally and that’s cause Sally tends to help her out even if she is a little trickster and mean at times.

Zero/Nina H:

Her and Nina are girlfriends <33 don’t care what anyone says they just are. When they first met they grew quite a nice bond with each other and after a year or two started dating. Graveyard dates/picnics every once in a while!! They are quite close with eachother and everyone respects that, they are inseparable! They share all their missions together cause they make such a good duo!

Nurse Ann:

Oh. My. God??? Love her sm. You’d be surprised bout the fact that she leads the whole medic crew (which.. consists of her, Dr smiley, Dr pain, and Jack for some reason) literal man eater, WILL walk you like a dog fr. She treats Jack as if it’s her child- and favorites it while she is always lecturing the other two dumbasses.

Dr smiley/Pain:

Not really a surprise this came next, but they are boyfriends!! Smiley is the more rational and calm one (surprisingly) while Pain is always probably high and basically bouncing of the walls. But regardless they love eachother so very much

Eyeless Jack:

Talked about Jack a lot, so why not just make it’s own category? It doesn’t really live in the manor, it does have its own room there!! But it tends to lurk the forest with SeedEater or basically go and torment Mitch, jack basically lives under Mitch’s bed/in the corner of his room Jack isn’t verbal, it doesn’t really speak so it relies on others to be it’s voice, but tends to just use the sign language it was taught by Ann. It’s not cause it chooses not to speak, it actually hurts, it’s vocal cords are shattered due to an incident it caused itself way back. No one knows what the accident was though.

Puppeteer:

He had begged Jason (TTM) to help him create a mini doll so he can gift it to Helen <3 well, it did work out, but things got a little out of hand. It started with the stuffed plush being ordinary and stuff before the pup decided it’d be a fun idea to bring it to life, did it scare the living shit out of helen? Yes. Did he forgive puppeteer I’m the end for his efforts to gift him something? Also yes!! In the end the puppeteer just gifted him a regular stuffed toy.

Ben:

He owns those Cat headphones, they where jokingly gifted to him and he claimed he hated it multiple times until he was one day caught actually wearing them, turns out he actually enjoyed them a bunch and was too embarrassed to admit it. He ended up getting Sally a matching pair of them so they’d end up playing video games together. 

SeedEater:

Since SeedEater practically knows almost every language, which gives him the ability to mess around a lot with the residents. Not because he’s scared of being called out by them, but it’s funny watching the residents get so confused when he just starts blabbering in a random language and than mixes it up with other languages at the same time. Not many others have the ability to speak multiple languages, especially almost all, but those who do have a fun time snickering to themselves about the random shit seed eater rambles on about while many others tend to stay confused. Although his abilities to speak many languages mess around in his head a lot. Most times he accidentally mixes and jumbles words together because he simply can’t remember the exact words he was trying to say in just one language.

Jane:

She’s the one cooking!! She doesn’t cook for everyone though, she cooks for the ones who can’t cook for themselves or aren’t trusted in yeh kitchen. Besides that everyone else either eats human body parts, gets take out, or cooks themself. She’s surprisingly a very good chef, so whenever someone happens to get sick they are in for a treat cause they get Janes home made soup and it tastes absolutely BOMB

bless you for asking 🌹 i finished it yesterday and the opinions are Brewing

my favorite female character: Cordelia. I grew so, so very attached to her during my watch - I always liked her a lot, but I wasn't hugely invested in her in BTVS either. Here, though? Favorite. Which made season four and five all the more frustrating at times, especially given what we know of the behind the scenes stuff with CC and JW T_T. But yeah, I love Cordelia. She's a fun foil for a character like Angel, and her journey with the visions - and the fact that she didn't want to give them up - was really enjoyable for me

my favorite male character: At the risk of sounding obvious, Angel? I keep trying to articulate the why of it, and it comes down to just the fact that I just... like him. Wesley from season 3 on comes very close, but in general, I tend to root for Angel more. The biggest indicator of my liking for Angel was that the second Spike came onto the scene, I was hissing like a cat like "ok vampire with a soul is ANGEL'S THING"

my favorite book/season/etc: I find it hard to choose between 2 and 3 atm. 2 had Angel's little dark spiral, which I found very fun, and season 3 had the whole "the father kills the son" arc, which was the most invested I ever was in this show

my favorite episode (if its a tv show): season 5 is fresher in my mind, so I'm going to say episode 12 of season 5, because that one has Cordelia in it - and is, thankfully, a nice send-off for her, though I'll forever be bitter she couldn't be around for the whole season (It might have made me less resentful of Spike's general presence, tho I did enjoy him regardless)

my favorite cast member: Idk much about them as people, but I'm going to say Alexis Denisof kILLED as unshaven miserable Wesley, and I was very impressed with him

my favorite ship: I hesitate between Angel x Cordelia and Wesley x Lilah. Angel x Cordy took me by surprise - I'm a diehard Bangel, and before watching ATS, the knowledge that Angel x Cordy became a thing made me a hater already. But I was surprised by how their friendship grew, and the Ship was Awakened in me when Angel was obviously deeply upset that Cordelia was still mad at him in season 2. That being said, I also think I'd have been satisfied with Angel x Cordy without the romantic element, as long as they kept the close friends/warriors for good aspect. It's the kind of ship that I feel could stay friends (unlike, say, Bangel, to refer to Spike's little 'You'll never be friends' speech", which I know you're familiar with xD), and I do like my ships with a bit more bite, no pun intended. And Wesley x Lilah was a fucking delight. Didn't see it coming, enjoyed every second of it, right down to the corpse head chopping. OH, I also enjoyed Lindsey x Darla for what it was. Lindsey in general was a fav of mine - he's just neat!

a character I’d die defending: Mmmm. No answer springs to mind, but I will say, I found myself kind of protective of Harmony in season 5 - I know she's a soulless little demon, but like, be nice to her (the fact that Spike was so dismissive of her got under my skin like BRO where's that soul of yours now)

a character I just can’t sympathize with: I desperately want to say Andrew, but we barely saw him, and that's mostly my BTVS feelings bleeding over. I'm sure there are answers among the villains, but nobody comes to mind.

a character I grew to love: Definitely Wesley. I was never too keen on him, but then, gosh. His dark side is just FASCINATING and I love him to bits.

my anti otp: unfortunately i can't say sp*ffy for ATS xD but otherwise, i don't think there's any ship on Angel I outright hate. Though Connor x Cordelia was definitely unpleasant, I don't really count it as a ship. I guess.... Angel x Nina didn't do much for me? But we barely saw them together, so, it's hard to muster any anti otp hatred. Fred x Wesley didn't do much for me (I always side-eyed them because from the start, I was convinced it would mean nothing good for Gunn), but without Fred x Wesley, you don't get Wesley x Illyria, which was the highlight of my late season 5 viewing 💙

first meet up natin babi! u made my graduation picture more memorable. i love you. hehe

our stops as far as i can remember ;

(1) u took an angkas ride to go to the casap school SUPER EARLY

(2) u were super early so we decided to meet sa bahay nina nyx (tricycle again) lumakad ka pa from casap to kanto ng sm marikina to find a ride

(3) we stayed sa bahay nina nyx to wait for aki, we played ml and drank rc na soper tamis

(4) when aki arrived, we took 2 tricycles to santolan station (likod ng casap)

(5) we are too early again kaya pupunta sana sa uratex pero nakakahiya gumala doon so nag-sm marikina tayoo

(6) we dropped by caramia and ate brownie alamode (?) gelato, we ate sisig for lunch, i bought u aloe vera gel, we walked out to meet our sched on pixelerate (i remember u throwing out the gelato kahit meron pa natira sa cup)

(7) we were thinking about my curfew so we asked the 3 girls if we can go first and they agreed, thankfully

(8) we had our makeups done, they curled my hair and gel-combed urs

(9) u took ur picture first then i followed, the ate asked u about why you are in marikina when u live in tondo, we hated the way we were instructed with our poses and posture

(10) after our own grad pics, we had the barkada pics done, sayang di pwede magtake separately tho

(11) before going home, we took pictures and they instructed us about the issuance of our framed pictures

(12) we went to nyx's house back while we separated before i even went in the tricycle i didn't say i love you back because i was shy and second, it sounded like a good bye to me

just like that, the remaining day became so easy. i love you, everyday feels like a first time with you. kissing you could easily take all the pain away, my love.

So I read a chapter ok and like TAM AND RESSLER DATING? TAMARA DESERVES BETTER. PERIOD. And I think nagsisimula na yung sakit nya or what kase dumudugo na yung ilong nya lagi beh. Goodluck nalang at sana si Marcus nalang makatuluyan nya, I am DEFINITELY against Ressler x Tam. If Ressler wants to prove himself, then I’ll give him a chance. Goodluck sakanya kase I have HIGH standards.

Kinda warming up to Ressler na kase he's maeffort lagi sa birthdays ni Tam. Sanaol nalang kase ako di man ako ginreet ng mga akala kong forever ko haha. Anyways feeling ko malapit na yung big reveal ng sakit ni Tam. Nagkakarandom pasa na sya ehh. AND OMG MARCUS AND BROOK SHIP!!!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

Sooo I'm sad that Zild's mom died. She was one of my fave characters hands down. Pero happy ako na nagparamdam na si Zild!! And the story is moving sooooo fast 😭😭😭 like from 2nd year ni Tam sa chapter 15 to kasal nya with Ressler sa chapter 18 😭😭😭 Author teka lang ikalma mo pls 😭😭😭

Ok so alot happened. All I can say is that this book hurts a ton. Like apaka angsty nya pls 🥹 Tam has Lukemia and she decides not to inform Ressler and then she starts treating Ressler badly even though she doesn't want to (isang malaking pagakakamali) and it's just sad pls. Sad sht tbh 😔🥹😭 This would probably be my last update because I'm planning to finish it tonight, I have a few pages left and I am invested with the story. And yes I'm kinda giving Ressler a chance, he has my approval but I still don't like or love his character. I am falling in love with Zild tho and Diego, gosh saang shop ako makakahanap ng katulad nila

I'm Finishing the book tomorrow na, but I have to say that I ate up the latter part of the book so good. Ok so the latter part I kinda liked naman, it was good naman. Finally Ressler knows that Tam has Lukemia and like nangangamoy Ressler has a side chick ehem ehem.YOU BETTER NOT RESSLER. YOU BETTER NOT. Honestly I don't like the chracters as characters, they have a lot of flaws that I can't really accept. Nakakastress basahin ang book all in all, in advance I'm rating it maybe the lowest or just above my lowest rating. Though I like the latter part ng book, the characters are just very unlikable I mean in my lowest rating atleast the characters wer somewhat likeable. I also didn't like it when Zild expected Tam to love him back just because he did all that for her, like kung mahal mo yung tao, you ain't expecting anything in return ok.

Kumalma na ang bakla nyo, so I finished the book already and satisfied naman ako sa ending honestly. Walang babae si Ressler, Tam beat cancer, Jezra and Zild for life, the pamatay na special chapters, I honestly liked the latter part of the book more than the first parts of it. Medyo natipuhan ko na yung story and muntikan ko nalang ibalibag yung libro nung akala kong patay na si Tam 🥹 Definitely didn't regret reading this because may natutunan naman ako 🫶🏻

Rating:

Solid 6/10 above 5 because it gave me a good ending and small twist that shook me so it deserves an rating above 5. First half (and first parts of the second half) weren't the best and I didn't like them, but the last few chapters pushed through. Characters were unlikeable at some poit which made me wanna chuck the book out of the window but they had character development naman ig. The book was good enough for me to want to finish it and keep on reading until the end.
