he’s an advocate for house elves. his parents found the idea of keeping house elves bound to their family barbaric, so he never had any growing up. stands up for house elves being mistreated by cruel students, so he’s a natural favorite among the Hogwarts house-elf community

boy is Public Enemy Number 1 for Peeves. they’ve hated each other even before the poltergeist ratted him out in the restricted section. he once dedicated an entire restricted section trip to finding books on how to cast spells to make his day a living hell (most common spells pass right through him). Peeves was livid, and so began a relationship of mutually-assured destruction

(they’ll never reach a truce, but they’ve both decided to keep their distance from the other to avoid further headaches)

back to the house elves, the kitchen elves are especially friendly towards him. he recruited their help to bake you a birthday cake, and they gladly obliged

he inherited his father’s pocket watch. his father had pasted a beautiful photograph of his mother on the inside. he has since stored the picture safely in an album and tucked a candid photo of you in its place

Anne is two minutes older than him, and she uses the ‘older sibling’ excuse to justify bossing him around. he makes it a point to wake up before her on their birthday every year so that he can feel ahead of her for once

if you’re smaller than him, he absolutely loves just picking you up. loves patting you on the head, comparing hand sizes, scooping you into his arms to deposit you in your bed if you fall asleep in the room of requirement

when he’s sick, he’s a total drama queen about it. (especially if he thinks you’ll fuss over him for it). his extra-large slytherin scarf is wrapped around his neck. he’ll pull it over the bottom half of his face and burrow into it while napping during professor binns’ notoriously dry lectures. he positively refuses to take medicine. boy has faced everything from trolls to dark wizards, but will sit and pout like a toddler if madam blainey faces him with a spoon of cough syrup

(it’s gotten to the point where Madam Blainey calls you to the hospital wing before she sends for sebastian because she knows you’re the only person who could convince him to take the medicine)

his parents used to take him and Anne to the seaside every summer. every once in awhile during the warmer months he’ll fly you to the Clagmar coast for a picnic lunch. he ties a basket laden with little sandwiches, delicate cakes, a bottle of champagne, and a blanket to the broom handle before you both take off

he’s constantly keeping an eye out for pretty shells and stones he thinks you’ll like. he's constantly running up to you with his latest "treasures." once he was so excited to show you a whelk shell he tripped over a sand dune and dropped it. he spent nearly half an hour digging through the sand to find it until you reminded him that he is, in fact, a wizard, and could use accio

he manages to find a pearl in one of the clams in a tidepool and uses the muselet from the champagne bottle to fashions it into a ring for you. he kneels in front of you in the sand, exaggerating a proposal and sliding the ring onto your finger. (naturally it’s a perfect fit. he’s spent so long memorizing the warmth and shape of your hands for it to be anything less). you laugh at his antics, but he’s sincere when he tells you it’s merely a placeholder for the real thing

Lady Georgiana Harrington’s style is on the cusp of high fashion in the late Edwardian period. Her dresses and suits are all representative of the type of forward-facing, luxurious clothing that young wealthy women wore at this time.

Despite the luxurious and trendy nature of her wardrobe, it is still not ostentatious. Rather, it has a sort of old-world, refined wealth that harkens to her aloof but elegant demeanor. Similarly, it leans heavily into rich, but still cold, jewel tones that are not excessively ornamented or frilly. Rather, she prefers her ornamentation in the form of a wide variety of custom jewelry, set with precious stones and multi layers of pearls.

Her lookbook is also governed by a different set of outfit categories than we see in the majority of Darlington lookbooks. Rather than having outfits designed around practical use or weather, Lady Georgiana’s looks are determined by time of day and specific outings. Like most women of her status in this period, this dictated up to eight outfit changes a day, with a minimum of a different outfit worn for each meal and frequent changes in between.

While indicative of her class and wealth, this is also representative of the sort of life that Lady Harrington leads. Her very dress is governed by strict rules of propriety and decorum. Her choice to wear her evening gowns during the day or her morning gown as a house dress is thus not only a personal eccentricity, but an attempt to make herself comfortable and in control of her surroundings.

A 1000-year-old Viking Silver Treasure Found in Sweden

Discovered outside of Stockholm, the hoard includes a Norman coin whose only previous documentation was in an 18th-century book.

A hoard of Viking silver, described as a once-in-a-lifetime discovery by onsite archeologists, has been unearthed in Täby, a municipality north of Stockholm.

As the Archaeologists, a team of specialists under contract from Sweden’s National Historical Museums, dug beneath the decayed wooden floor of a building in a Viking Age settlement, they discovered a small ceramic pot. Inside lay eight neck rings, two arm rings, a finger ring, a pair of pearls, and 12 coin pendants deposited in a linen pouch.

The neck rings provoked particular excitement. Forged in the torque-style, a symbol of wealth and status for Viking men and women, the nearly 1,000-year-old rings were “extraordinarily well-preserved despite having been made and deposited almost a thousand years ago,” said Maria Lingström, the archeologist who removed them from the ground. “They looked almost completely new.”

The find is part of a larger excavation taking place at a settlement that endured from 400 C.E. through the Viking Age (800–1050 C.E.) and into the Middle Ages. So far, the archaeologists have identified more than 20 houses and buildings, and dug up arrows, quern stones (used to grind down a range of materials), and amulet rings. This most recent discovery, however, is the team’s most eye-catching and potentially illuminating.

“Silver hoards are significant in many ways. They reflect that their owners were very wealthy and are proof of advanced craftsmanship,” said Johan Anund the group’s regional manager, “but they also reflect ancient rituals and religion” said , “the excavation also revealed more than a thousand other artifacts”

The hoard of coins evidences the international nature of commerce in Viking Age Scandinavia, and includes silver from England, Bohemia, Bavaria, as well as dirhams, a type of Arabic coinage. The collection makes up what the Archaeologists termed “a perfect example of [the era’s] far-reaching connections and blossoming trade.”

The cache also includes a 10th-century coin minted in Normandy, an area in northern France to which Vikings migrated in the early ninth-century, which had only ever previously been documented in an 18th-century book of drawings.

Chief among the questions posed by the haul is why inhabitants would bury their most valuable possessions. “One common interpretation is that people buried their treasures in tumultuous times,” said one of the site’s project managers, John Hamilton. “We have yet to see if that was the case here.”

The artifacts have since been transferred to the Acta Konserveringscentrum, a conservatory company in Stockholm, to be cleaned and documented.

When you wake up you notice he’s already gone, with no traces to where he’d left. Slight panic ensues as the thought of him getting kidnapped raced into your mind. You start looking around, slowly calming down as you don’t see any sign of struggle. It was noon when he came back, and you started overwhelming him with questions.

He seems… different today. Uncharacteristically shy and reserved. You wanted to see what was wrong, but, maybe it was best to leave him alone for now.

Just as you begin walking away, he grabs your wrist with an unknown look in his eyes. You stare back confused, that’s when he starts speaking.

“L-listen! You better put your ears to good use now you hear me?! I’m only going to say this once!” He seemed very nervous. Your heart began to pound. “You’re such an idiot, following me around and giving me such… amazing things…” He took a deep breath. He looks at you in the eyes, he has the most loving look you’ve ever seen. “I can’t believe i’ve fallen for such an idiot, but i have. And i see now that it’s never going to change. I… I love you! And I want, no, need you to be mine! Mine and mine alone!” He quickly pulls out a ring, averting his gaze. It’s so pretty! The band is a rich gold with small sango pearls imbued in it. At the center, framed in gold, is a gem made of crystal marrow. You take it from him and put it on, “I love it! And i love you!” You hug him tightly, “I would love to be yours, forever and ever. I love you Kuni.” He hugs back.

We all know he’s a big flirt and tease. He’s very likely to propose to you in the middle of a busy street tbh. But it seems like someoneee (zhongli) knocked a little sense into him.

As per usual, he took you out for a luxurious evening. You expected him to take you to yet another fancy restaurant, don’t get it wrong, you like the food. But it’s been a while sinc- what. You stare, pretty stupidly ngl. He brought you to your favorite restaurant. “What the fuck.” You say. He just smiles and leads you inside. Yeah something fishy is going on.

Of course he offers to pay for everything, so you naturally don’t hold back at all. You’ve probably ordered six or seven different things by now, but you can’t help it! This shit is amazing! Your eyes dart over to Childe, who’s smirking.

“What?!?” You say, preparing to get a flirty response. But instead, what you get surprises you beyond belief.

“I love you so much. You’re just so cute and sweet.” He reaches over to grab your left hand, slipping something out of his sleeve. “My love, allow me to make you mine.” He slips a ring on your finger. You look at it in surprise. The band is silver, with some beautiful shining blue gem you’ve never seen. You look at him and smile, “You really are something Ajax.” You kiss him. “I would love to be with you for as long as we live.” He giggled as his smirks again, the light returning to his eyes.

Rosary of Hekate (SOLD)

This unique set of fine-quality devotional beads was created and consecrated in the name of the goddess Hekate. It is currently selling for $215.

It was constructed from beads of Black Moonstone (a stone powerfully associated with Hekate and her dominion over the time of the Dark Moon,) with counter beads made from scavenged Dog Wristbones (canines being widely considered as chief among Her sacred animals), each of which are bracketed with small Garnets (intimately associated with the mysteries of the Underworld.) There is also a drop-bead made in the style of a Belladonna Berry, using a naturally dark violet Pearl. The centerpiece is a solid sterling silver Strophalos charm, which was ritually silver-smithed by a Hekatean acolyte in Greece. The focal pendant is a 1920's Skeleton Key (keys being one of Her most significant historical symbols), which was rituallly interred at a Crossroads from Dark Moon to Dark Moon. The key was then exhumed, the elements assembled, and the whole piece suffumigated with Storax Smoke (an ancient fumigatory offering used in Her name for thousands of years.)

This piece measures approximately 24 inches/61 centimeters long, and all connecting rings and pins are made from silver-plated steel.
