I finished Sailor Stars!
That season was a train wreck :D
Wowie okay so um what to say. Well for one thing the ending made no sense. The Galaxy couldron was nonexistent so WOOO ten points to me for being right :D
The only part I legitimately liked was that Mamoru put up a fight and talked trash to Galaxia's face before she nuked him :D But no Usagi literally found out in such a crappy way. Bruh.
Uhhh what else what else. Uhhh I mean Galaxia was so badly written I don't even know what to say. And they didn't use Chibi Chibi correctly. They did however give us this.
Tumblr media
F in the chat for fans of Sailor Cosmos. Though she isn't revealed to even be Sailor Cosmos until act 60 so uh idk yea. But like it also literally makes no sense to even show this since they say Chibi Chibi is Galaxia's star seed so yeeaaaaa
No epic space battle. The fight just takes place in a building in the middle of Tokyo. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Yea no this wasn't an experience I enjoyed. I'm not even gonna lie I skipped through anything that didn't interest me.
And now I guess I completed Sailor Moon...?
I'll rank the seasons
Sailor Moon (season 1): 6.5/10
Honestly was enjoying a lot once I got used to the formula they used for the series. They took a long ass time introducing the senshi and when Usagi was revealed as the Princess it could have been handled better. They developed more minor characters like Naru and Shingo which I enjoyed. and Usagi's dynamic was fun though Mamo was particularly rude. But as the season went on (at least up to episode 35) the two became enjoyable to watch and comparable to their manga counterparts. But then Evil Endy happened and I was hating my life :D
Sailor Moon R: 7.5/10
Filler with Ail and An was like really dumb. BUT I got to see Mamoru and Usagi have more time together and fall in love again. But like also I did skip stuff there. When it got to the Black Moon I was actually pretty invested. Black Moon had the best opening visuals. And honestly the break up arc was a strong point of the arc looking back. I know I roasted Mamo for his actions but if anything it proved how much he really wanted to be with Usagi especially in the Sleeping Beauty episode. Chibiusa was pretty much just as she should be. Mamo got no powers. I liked that they gave redemption arcs to the Supernatural sisters. Black Lady was somewhat rushed. Diana was nonexistent and we barely saw any of the 30th Century. Plus Chibiusa never earned her powers as a Sailor Guardian on screen. The ending is a complete blur for me.
Sailor Moon S: 5.5/10
Mamousa in this season was honestly peak from start to finish. However literally everything else sucked 😅 The daemons were weird as hell. The Witches 5 were crazy. Haruka and Michiru were unfortunately jerks and that never changed in this season. Mugenzu academy was introduced waaaaaaaaayyyy too late. The inner senshi were constantly ragging on Usagi. Not to mention Usagi was treated terribly by the writers. Hotaru was cool I guess. The pure heart crystals was DUMB they spent way too long looking for Talismans. I liked the redemption of professor Tomoe. But Chibiusa never got to be Super Sailor Chibi Moon.
Sailor Moon Super S: 5/10
I was starting to like it towards the end but then it completely fell apart because they botched my favorite arc. Everything I loved about this arc, they took away. The Sailor Senshi were not princesses, they didn't have Sailor crystals, They ignored the fact that the Golden Crystal is Mamoru's, Usagi never earned her Eternal powers, Artemis, Luna and Diana never turned human. But what did we get in this arc? Well we have creepy and ridiculous circus lemures, we have adult men going after children and invading their dream mirrors. We have awful characterization of the main cast which would make anyone hate them. The Mamousa was good but it could have been better. Chibiusa was falling for a horse with wings before she knew he was a human.
Sailor Moon Sailor Stars: 4/10
Not gonna make this long. As for Nehellenia filler, it was good but also like why? The only redeeming thing about Stars arc was the sliver of Mamoru Usagi content we got and the senshi actually seemed to love and care for Usagi.
So um yea I finally watched the 90s anime! But my overall experience was such a mixed bag. Some of it was just plain bad, some of it was legitimately good, some of it was cringe af and some of it was cute. Will I watch the series again? No. No I will not.
Since I've watched the anime I've earned the right to this opinion:
Sailor Moon Manga >>>>> Sailor Moon Crystal (+eternal) >>>>>>>>>>>> 90's Sailor Moon anime
And now all I want is to watch Sailor Moon Cosmos 😩

Letting out a tired sigh Sasuke closed the door behind him, finally finding himself in the safety of his hallway, of his home. He absent-mindedly hung up his coat before taking his shoes off – neatly putting them away as he always did, right where they belonged. But it seemed like he was the only one here caring about any form of tidiness.
The Uchiha couldn't help but smile as he noticed the other pair of shoes – shoes that didn't belong to him, shoes that were slipped off in a hurry obviously (because why else would he leave them like this, right?) – now sprawled all over the floor. He could only shake his head at habits that would probably never die, no matter what. Not that he minded – not really.
Following the soft noise Sasuke promptly moved to the living room, noticing the running tv as he stepped through the door – displaying some sort of strange animal documentary series.
What a nerd.
“I'm home, Naru-” But his voice died down almost immediately, since now, after getting closer he was able to see him – to see the huddled figure of his boyfriend, hugging a pillow as he was dozing peacefully on the couch, using the tv as nothing but background noise. Almost immediately, he could feel his heart clench. Sasuke had yet to get used to being able to come home to such a sight, perfect in any way he could think of. Honestly, he really couldn't be happier that they had finally decided to move in together, taking their relationship to the next stage – a new milestone. A natural transition Naruto had proposed one day and who was Sasuke to deny him anything, really? Once again, Sasuke found himself unable to suppress the smile displaying on his lips, a situation he found himself in quite often lately. Thank god that Naruto was asleep so he wouldn't be able to tease him about it. He would definitely tease him about it.
Slowly, Sasuke took a step forward, carefully taking the remote to shut the tv off – just before carefully sitting down onto the small spot he was somehow offered by Naruto's sleeping form.
The couch shifted a little, a motion barely noticeable – yet, Naruto seemed to have perceived it somehow (he always did when it comes to Sasuke), stirring slightly. Slowly, tiredly, the blonde opened one eye, peaking up at the other in confusion – taking in his sight for just a moment, processing, until eventually something seemed to click and a big smile spread across his lips. He beamed and Sasuke’s heart nearly bursted.
“..welcome home.”
Sasuke leaned down slightly – leaving a kiss to Naruto's temple, hiding his face  in soft blonde hair. It was totally not so that he could once more hide his smile. Nope, it wasn't.
“I'm home.”

The Red Devil’s Chronicles: Sept to Nov 2022 DMC News Updates - Merch, Collabs, Etc.
Tumblr media
Hey there, how's it going? Apologies for being silent for awhile. Got really distracted and busy. Here are all the Devil May Cry-related news updates I've conjured up from September to November:  1. Devil May Cry returns in Last Cloudia. 2. Someone by the name of PresssLee on Twitter is making a fan game based on Dante's and Vergil's childhood. 3. Prime1 Studio releasing a DT version of V. b) And more merch. c) Plus DMC3 Dante and Vergil, coming soon. 4. The English version of the DMCV art book is coming. 5. New Devil May Cry apparel at the CapCom store. 6. The Devil May Cry: Peak/Pinnacle of Combat mobile game gets more updates soon, which includes switching characters in real time, unlockable playable Nero, special move cutscenes, and more. 7. Devil May Cry V now reaches over 6 million copies sold. b) Not to mention it's currently one of CapCom's top selling games.  c) And Itsuno talks about his development adventures, with DMCV included in the discussion. d) And Itsuno also discusses his struggles with the PS3 and Xbox360 era. 8. Dante’s DMCV face model, Adam Cowie, dressed up as Dante for Halloween. 9. The creator of Fable admits to using some ideas from the Devil May Cry games. 10. Big decision I’ve made on my part. I used to run a DMC4-Screenshotz Photobucket page to store all of these screenshots I’ve taken of Devil May Cry 4 for the purpose of linking it onto my long, forgotten website. Due to drastic, unlikeable changes made on Photobucket’s part, and losing interest in maintaining the site due to its limitations in the free version, I’ve decided to completely remove that Photobucket account, and all of its screenshots with it.
My Thoughts On These Updates:
1. Not a mobile game fan, but nice to see that some collab projects are making returns. 2. That’s awesome that we get a fan game. I remember when me and a few friends wanted to make our own when the reboot got announced back in the day due to us being unhappy about the direction CapCom was going in. But we had to scrap the idea due to being too busy. 3. Those DMC3 figures are looking pretty great so far. I understand they’re just computer generated, so they might not be the official final look. You never know. I do see some hints of Naru Omori’s style being implemented into these figures. And I love how Dante finally gets a slice of pizza as part of a collectible item. 4. I’d see Japanese fans help translate some of the stuff from the art book, but of course things end up being vague since they’re just concept images and nothing more. Plus certain kanji can be a bit hard to translate. 5. Those clothes are looking SSStylish. 6. I remember hearing rumours of Nero becoming an unlockable character, so it looks like it might actually be a thing. That’s cool how you can change characters in real time as well. And from what I’ve seen in the latest gameplay vids, it once again has gone through a lot of changes with the visuals and characters’ faces. Wonder what new updates there will be after these ones. 7. So happy for CapCom that Devil May Cry V is doing so great. Gives us fans hope about their future of game development and release choices. Fans are still discussing to this day on what DMC6 will offer.  I agree and imagine the PS3 and Xbox360 era being a bit of a difficult era to work with. Microtransactions, DLC, and all that tricky marketing stuff are what got introduced and changed the gaming business from then on. Even working with different equipment for better visuals and all of that. Devil May Cry 4 in my opinion wasn’t really up to its hype. Yes, it introduced some new and interesting things, and the cutscenes were very enjoyable to watch, and of course those that enjoyed the mechanics got a kick out of the whole Bloody Palace and SSStylish tournament-related stuff. But the way the game played out just got so boring, and definitely would’ve been as great as DMCV and/or DMC3 if they delayed the game further and implemented what they wanted to from the start. I feel they released DMC4 at a pretty bad time. 8. I was wondering when we were gonna see Adam dressed up as Dante again. 9. Of course, many struggling companies or businesses would want some “inspiration” from good titles. Fable was pretty good and amusing. Never thought they’d take ideas from Devil May Cry. I’m even still trying to wrap my head around where the elements of Devil May Cry are in it. 10.  It’s no biggie that I decided to remove my Photobucket account and all of its contents...I can always show my love of Devil May Cry another way.  11. There is one other thing I was gonna mention here which was about that drama involving Platinum Games and Bayo’s original voice actress Hellena Taylor. I’ve decided not to bring that up ‘cause it’s more about Bayonetta than Devil May Cry. In other words, a different topic. Yes, Bayo does have some very minor ties with DMC, and Hideki Kamiya from Platinum was the original director of DMC, but I’d rather keep it just exclusively Devil May Cry-related. If you want my thoughts on it, though, I don’t really have anything since I’m not much of a Bayonetta fan. At first, I heard that Kamiya left Twitter for good, but it turned out that he didn’t leave after all. And Hellena’s one sneaky, greedy, and pompous individual. Yes, I’ve heard of voice actors/actresses getting treated poorly, and yes we do see Kamiya act unprofessional and insane at times. But in Hellena’s case, she’s just seeking for attention to cause a stir, and mislead fans for her own gain. That’s all I’ve gotta say.

Regions of Naru
- - Land Biography - -
[ Overview ]
Odukora, the universe that holds the lands of the mortal realm and the immortal realm, in which the mortal realm is known as Naru, whereas the immortal realm is known as Cloud Cliffs, previously known as Cloud Island and Corrupted Cliffs. Both realms are connected through a portal located at the Middle Realm, activated by the Soul Crystal.
Historically, Naru's origin birthed from the reconciliation of Cloud Cliffs, a solemn promise made from two lands that once broke and separated, yet once again reunited through love. It is to be celebrated.
From North to South, East to West, Naru remains a rich land of mystery that continues to be explored. Initially, scholars from the immortal realm (also known as the Guardian Guild) intended to guide the mortals in magic usage and study the land's diverse properties, and yet, a mysterious incident has temporarily sealed the portal since the mid Medieval Era as the Soul Crystal is reportedly stolen.
Since then, Naru continues to thrive as an independent land without the guidance from the immortal realm.
- - Regions - -
Naru is a federation of four main regions, namely Carabee, Suizel, Tarue and Sunvey. Each region is divided into states, which are then further divided into districts, The middle of the mainland lies a mysterious mountain that has not been classified since late Medieval Era.
- - - - - - -
[ Carabee ]
Located at the northern region of Naru, Carabee is known for its cold climate, humid lands and mountainous terrain.
- - -
[ Mount. Kimoru ]
The highest summit and sophisticated capital of Carabee, widely known across the land for its advanced technology and annual blizzards approaching a year's end. Notable districts of the state include Halesburg, Rilsa and Kallistar Highlands. As an effort to further expand it's technological development, a special academy has been promoted, Kimoru's Institute of Technology (K.I.T).
Near the east part of Halesburg lies the headquarters of Odukora's Recruit of Certified Adventurers (O.R.C.A), colloquially referred to as The Agency, where explorers are trained to defend the land and conduct research across the regions. It is evidently involved in an ongoing rivalry with Odukora's Wanderers League (O.W.L), publicly known as The Alliance, for the past decade ever since a tragic event known as The Eternal, in which a team of explorers disappeared after a failed expedition. The winning side is currently debatable, though rumours seemingly hint at a confidential collaboration.
A famous dining spot here is The Mitz, short for Mittenz, a prestigious restaurant in Rilsa renowned for its delectable seafood dishes. The restaurant was initially a small business ran by a family of felines who migrated from Cosmic Hills during the mid War Era, and was not immensely profitable in its opening years. It eventually began to prosper around the ending years of the War Era, with promotion across the regions that was seemingly done overnight. Nowadays, it is a known place for celebrity sightings. Worth a visit, though the average citizen may have to consider saving up.
Somewhere above Kallistar Highlands dwells Pelangi Falls, the tallest waterfall of Naru. It is a known travel destination for those who wish to reach the clouds.
Historically, Mount. Kimoru was known as Corondale, the empire of the Polaris bloodline since the early Medieval Era. Its prosperity peaked during it's prime by the mid Medieval Era, yet seemingly ran into a fallen fate by the mid War Era. Since then, the Elwood bloodline has taken over and revamped the land with the leftover technology that aimed to explore the neighbouring regions.
- - -
[ Harmony Woods ]
Right beneath Mount. Kimoru, lies a small town separated from the sophisticated city by its lush pine forests. Notable districts of the state include Shuro and Rusan.
The majority of villagers are shopkeepers who run independently owned grocery stores or sell goods at Harmony Market, a public central market that also operates at night. Some local resources are exported to Mount. Kimoru to be made into manufactured products, whilst a small portion are imported back to be sold locally. Goods are often traded with villagers from Oakland in exchange for agricultural resources.
Approaching the Modern Era, plenty of citizens have migrated to nearby cities such as Mount. Kimoru or Dusleth City in search for better job opportunities and expand their business.
- - -
[ Oakland ]
Beneath Harmony Woods lies another land, known for its silk production and agriculture. Notable districts of the land include Meroju and Tuwirl Acres.
The best known silk is obtained from cirworms reared in captivity and fed with apples. The obtained silk is later used in textile production, either locally or exported to other states or districts as an effort to expand the industry.
Local crops planted in farmlands are harvested every year during the Annual Festival of Harvest, where feasts are held every day in autumn before the upcoming winter
- - -
[ Dusleth City ]
Heading west from Mount. Kimoru lies a busy city, linked by Delway Bridge, the longest bridge of Naru. Notable districts include Rivera, Nisal and Casterue.
Dusleth is well-known for it's main city townsquare in Casterue, commonly used for community gatherings during cultural festivities. Being centrally located between Carabee and Suizel, main attractions include various malls, market stalls, recreational parks and historical monuments.
In Evergreen Forest lies Hollowstone Falls, a small waterfall where behind hides a tiny cave that is rumoured to be hidden with treasure and ancient artifacts.
- - -
[ Rurene Town ]
The main train terminal of Carabee, located in the center of the region, where goods are imported and exported between each state. Notable districts of the state include Faldeigh, Merriville and Etsueku.
Mount. Kimoru's efforts to revolutionize commuting began around the early years of the Modern Era. With its coverage throughout the entire region of Carabee, Rurene has became a main focus for it's strategic location in the middle of the region, enabling transportation between states. The rail services operate daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The operation hours usually extend for certain stations during special events such as the Festival of the Northern Lights.
The majority of citizens here often run eateries, bakeries, cafeterias and restaurants. As the main train terminal of the land, visitors often come here for a treat during layovers.
- - -
[ Flyaerway Town ]
Where Carabee's main interregional airport is located. Its construction began shortly around mid Modern Era, as the existing train terminal in Rurene could not handle future demands that required interregional importation and exportation. It currently handles the trasnport and delivery service along with Rurene. The region's name is a word play on "fly away" as goods here are delivered through air transportation.
- - -
[ Shiro City ]
A festive city mainly populated by bunnies and rodents. Across the land are large plains that has enabled oil palm and rubber plantations, known for its fertile soil and suitable weather for various plants. A garden festival, colloquially known as Plant Fest is held annually as a means to celebrate the arts of gardening through green innovation and landscape architecture, funded by Kimoru's Institute of Technology as a means to promote environmental knowledge.
- - -
[ Riyalulu City ]
Main educational hub of Naru, across the region are archives of knowledge with ancient origin, including libraries, museums, research centres, observatories, art galleries and exhibition halls.
- - -
[ Pluck River ]
Longest river of Naru, flowing from the northeast of Mount. Kimoru towards southwest Rurene, known for it's a bridge that locates further downstream, inhabited by a variety of freshwater fishes. Common activities include kayaking and fishing.
- - - - - - -
[ Suizel ]
Located at the west region of Naru, Suizel is known for being comprised of islands, seashores and it's warm tropical weather.
- - -
[ Strait of Aeir ]
The narrow sea that separates Carabee from Suizel along the coastal regions, the two regions are connected to each other through Delway Bridge, known as the longest bridge of Naru, with Dusleth serving as gateway between both regions. Delway Bridge is accessible through a high-speed railway, with it's main station located in Mount. Kimoru.
- - - - - - -
[ Suizel Bay ]
Main city of Suizel, Suizel Bay is known for being favoured by the sun and it's white sandy beaches. Moving south from the main city is Suizel Harbour, one of the busiest shipping ports of Naru, taking up more than half of the local trade. For this reason, Suizel Harbour is densely populated to provide the labor for processing and handling goods and related services for the ports. Water buses are commonly used as main transportation between harbours and docks. Smaller ports are built to support local tourism. Aside from visits to the beach, tourists may take a stroll along the waterfronts and enjoy the sea view.
- - -
[ Airiwn Isles ]
Several islands surrounding Mount. Kimoru, known for it's lighthouses that serves as a beacon for navigational aid, ships from Suizel City tend to pass through these islands when goods are being delivered to Carabee. A tiny port resides here to grant shelter for passing ships from wind and waves. Scattered across the island are seaside towns and maritime museums that host annual artifact exhibitions, famously known to have been researched by a renowned guardian the isles are named after.
- - -
[ Aurie Reefs ]
Naru's largest coral reef system, Aurie Reefs locates off the coasts of Airiwn Isles, and is famously known for being shaped like a star when viewed from above. It supports a wide diversity of aquatic creatures and is protected by the local marine park to limit impacts of fishing and tourism. Odukora's Recruitment of Certified Adventurers (O.R.C.A) conducts annual reports of the reefs' status in terms of creature research and preservation.
Among the reefs lives large whale esque creatures known as whiftu's that cleanse the reefs through restoration magic, balancing overly concentrated foreign magic in the ocean, said restoration magic manifests within corals before slowly forming tokens encrusted beneath the reefs, only professional token specialists are legally allowed to extract tokens from coral reefs, yet some tokens may be illegally harvested which harms the coral reefs in return.
- - -
[ Cosmic Hills ]
Located right next to Maple Fields, an island in the northwest region mostly inhabited by felines. Along the coasts are fishing villages known for their seafood dishes, with most of its raw ingredients supplied through local coastal fisheries and aquaculture.
Named after the summer meteor showers at the nearby hills, stargazing is another known activity that gets promoted as the main attraction for local and foreign tourists.
- - -
[ Maple Fields ]
Located right next to Cosmic Hills, an island in the northwest region mostly inhabited by canines, known for it's livestock production and creature husbandry. Scattered across the lands are several farms of domesticated creatures, namely gyuniis that are raised for their meat, feathers and eggs.
The region was named by ancient explorers after locally grown trees with red leaves that were mistakenly identified as autumn leaves. They eventually discover it as a tropical region, and said trees were not maple trees. However, Maple Fields has since been used to refer to said land by local citizens as they grew fond of the name.
- - -
[ Oceana Town ]
A small town on an island, known for its night markets for selling scrumptious food, notably locally made fish balls and fishcakes, usually deep fried and sold in sticks to be eaten as a snack. True to it's name, Peace Valley is a land of peace with the lowest crime rates across Naru, inhabited by a mere hundred residents who live in harmony. With rich forest resources, locals tend to collect them and sell them at markets. Logging, farming and fishing are commonly known jobs.
Near the east part of the valley lies an old train station, mostly used to deliver resources such as farm crops and spices from the land to other regions. Resources are often traded with Kahdeina Empire in return for gold that will be used to further develop the village.

- - -
[ Mount. Gandoline ]

Historically, Gandoline Skies was known as Selenburgh, reigned over by the Lunaris bloodline for centuries, it was later renamed in honour of their empress who tragically sacrificed herself by late Medieval Era, allegedly due to a threat from the Solstice bloodline that has since ended. Even then, the Lunaris bloodline continues to seek vengeance in pursuit of immortality.
- - -
[ The Valley of Mariposa ]
Old ruins of around the edge of a mountain. Historically known as the Kingdom of Ashling, it has fallen since late Medieval Era, seemingly named after the last monarch of the Solstice bloodline. Surrounding the ruins are scattered ancient buildings, often visited and researched for it's historical value.
- - - - - - -
[ Sunvey ]
> WIP
South region of Naru, also the smallest region. Known for its desert plains and dry weather year-round.
- - -

They have the ability to sense the auras of the deceased, which changes the appearance of the tree that grows. Special creatures, Jinglings will collect the fallen seeds from the tree by late evening, said seeds are then stored underground before being sent across several regions of the land.
- - -
[ Temporal Isle ]
A mysterious island with several towering statues over the shore, said statues have holes that seemingly fit keys that would activate something ancient, actually a time capsule that was planted down by the forgotten god of time.
- - -
[ Mount. Eden ]
Located at the middle of the mainland of Naru, mysterious sightings have been spotted, notably flashes of purple light within underground caves and snows heavily year-round. Known to have caused unexplainable disappearances over the centuries and thus deemed a threat to the mortal realm and is forbidden to be explored. Underneath Mount. Eden lies the deep realm that was created by the rulers of the realms millennia ago as a failsafe in case anything were to threaten Naru's safety. The ancient empire of Corondale is currently sealed below after a failed attempt to take over the realms centuries ago.
- - -
[ Janji Island ]
A tiny island located at the southeast region, inhabited by glowlins, hidden far away from the rest of Naru, yet to be discovered.

Keep going keep going keep going,' the crazed voices urge."

Naruto can tell just by the sound of the door opening and closing. A sharp click followed by a slam. From his place in the kitchen, washing dishes from breakfast, the blonde listens to shoes being roughly kicked off. It must be particularly bad, because his husband doesn’t come to greet him like usual. Instead, Sasuke stalks down the hall past the kitchen and into their bedroom, slamming that door as well. Sighing, Naruto shuts off the tap and flicks the water from his hands. Drying them absentmindedly on a kitchen towel, he checks the time on the stove. Red numbers reflect 8:49p. A quick glance outside reveals deep orange and pink clouds and a deep indigo sky, the sun well on it’s way to setting.
A slow, mischievous smile spreads over Naruto’s lips. There are a few ways to deal with a cranky Sasuke. Usually, the blonde would leave him alone to cool down before suggesting a walk or maybe a bath. Something quiet, intimate. An activity that gives Sasuke the chance to relax and calm down while still being together. Naruto has something else in mind for tonight.
Walking purposefully out of the kitchen, he heads down the hall to their closed bedroom door. He opens the door slowly, peaking a blonde head in slightly. Sasuke is laying on the bed, flat on his back with an arm over his eyes. Even from the door, Naruto can see the frustrated pinch in the corners of Sasuke’s lips and the tight line of his jaw speaks of clenched teeth. Naruto smiles fondly at his husband, feeling an ache of pain in his chest at the sight. Stepping fully into the room, he crosses the room to sit carefully on the edge of the bed. Reaching out, he pokes the corner of Sasuke’s grimace.
“Welcome home,” he whispers, soft and sweet. Sasuke grunts. Naruto rolls his eyes. Shifting, he runs his fingers through thick, dark tresses slowly. From his scalp to the ends of his hair. Sasuke relaxes slightly under Naruto ministrations, letting out all of his breath in a long sigh.
“What’s for dinner?” Sasuke whispers, sounding slightly hoarse. Naruto grimaces for a moment, displeased by the sound. It must have been a worse day than he thought. Which… Naruto smiles deviously at an unsuspecting Sasuke.
‘Which makes my plans all the better.’
Shifting to kneel on the bed, Naruto throws one leg over his husband’s lap to straddle his waist. The sudden weight on his pelvis causes Sasuke to move his arm, revealing dark eyes that stare up questioningly. When his lips part to ask what’s going on, Naruto beats him to the punch.
“Dinner can wait, I have a better idea,” Naruto says in a tone that Sasuke knows he can’t argue with. Insistent, matter of fact, with a hint of tease. Sasuke’s brows raise and he blinks blankly at the blonde. Smirk growing, showing off unusually sharp canines, Naruto slides off Sasuke’s lap and holds out his hand expectantly. Sasuke doesn’t move right away, critical eyes studying Naruto’s face. The fox doesn’t lower his hand, doesn’t release his sultry smirk, doesn’t say anything. Just waits for Sasuke to take his hand.
After a couple more moments of staring each other down, Sasuke sighs and rolls his eyes. Naruto bites the inside of his cheek to keep from laughing, knowing that it will only piss Sasuke off. The raven sits up slowly, making a show of his annoyance. Finally, with narrowed eyes and a suspicious scowl, Sasuke’s hand slides into Naruto’s. Lacing their fingers together and holding tight, Naruto tugs until Sasuke stands from the bed.
Naruto smiles, striking a balance between sweet and seductive, before leaning up to kiss Sasuke. The raven’s tension melts a little bit, the edge of his annoyance softens. His free hand comes up to stroke along Naruto’s cheek and curl around his ear. Naruto’s empty hand finds its way to Sasuke’s hip, sliding around small of Sasuke’s back with fleeting, teasing touches.
The blonde pulls away first, not wanting to get carried away before he enacts his plan. Sasuke’s expression is confused and perturbed when Naru leans back, obsidian eyes reflecting his irritation. Naruto can’t resist leaning in for another quick peck when Sasuke’s mouth pulls into a thin lipped grimace.
“Come on, follow me,” he says before Sasuke can argue. Turning, he pulls Sasuke out of their bedroom and down the hall. Sasuke tries to veer into the kitchen when they get to it, but Naruto’s hold on his hand keeps him from going far. Throwing the blonde and exasperated look, Sasuke raises a questioning brow silently. Naruto just tugs his hand gently and nods toward the door. Sasuke makes a noise between a growl and a sigh, but wordlessly follows his husband to the door.
Shoes on and keys in hand, the couple leaves their little home. Naruto all but shoves Sasuke into the passenger seat. This time he does laugh when Sasuke glares at him petulantly, mouth curled into a frown.
“It’s my turn to drive,” he snipes, making a move to get out. Naruto blocks the door with his whole body, giving Sasuke no room to squeeze out.
“You can drive the next three times. Besides, you don’t know where we’re going,” Naruto reasons, throwing on his most charming smile. He can tell it works, at least a little bit, because Sasuke slowly sits back against the seat and pulls his legs fully into the car. Crossing his arms over his chest, the dark haired man glares as he considers the offer.
“And I don’t suppose you’re going to tell me where we’re going,” Sasuke says rather than asks. Naruto nods. Ocean blue eyes sparkle with mischief and delight. Sasuke pointed looks away from them, knowing that they’ll be his undoing and wanting to stay annoyed.
“That is correct.” With that, Naruto closes the passenger door and rounds the car to get in the driver’s seat. After buckling his seatbelt, Naruto starts the car and sets the playlist to Sasuke’s favorites. Warmth flutters in Naru’s stomach when, out of the corner of his eye, he sees Sasuke fully relax. The first notes of music start and the raven tips his head back with closed eyes. Naruto smiles at him fondly, endearingly. The action makes Naruto feel trusted; Sasuke never lets anyone else drive and certainly wouldn’t close his eyes if they did. Looking away before he gets misty eyed, Naruto carefully pulls away from the curb and heads into the night.
The drive is quiet and peaceful. The roads aren’t empty, but traffic is light. By the time they reach the highway leading out to the beach, there’s hardly a car on the road at all. Naruto steers with one hand, the other holding Sasuke’s over the center console. His thumb idly plays over Sasuke’s knuckles in slow sweeps. Quick peeks at his husband let Naruto know that his eyes stay mostly closed. The blonde can tell he’s awake though; whatever Sasuke is thinking about intermittently makes his nose crinkle in a way that makes Naruto melt a little bit.
It doesn’t take them long to reach their destination. A deserted parking lot along the beach, overlooking the water. Naru pulls into a random space and parks, rolling down the windows before killing the engine. The crash and pull of waves can be heard now, soothing and consistent. The air smells of salt and brine so strongly that Naruto can taste it on his tongue.
The absence of movement and presence of sea air prompts Sasuke to open his eyes. Blinking slowly, he stares at the dark waves washing over the beach with a flat expression. Naruto doesn’t give him the chance to make the sarcastic comment that he’s sure is sitting on Sasuke’s tongue. Reaching between Sasuke’s legs, Naruto grabs the latch under the seat and pulls. Sasuke slides back immediately, stopping when the seat can’t move back anymore. Withdrawing, Naruto maneuvers over the center console with surprising agility and grace in such a tight space. Caging Sasuke in with one knee on either side of his legs, Naruto once again straddles his husband with the full intent of fucking him senseless.
Sasuke catches on quickly, staring up into deep blue eyes laden with desire. Steady, strong hands shoot up to grip Naruto’s hips. The blonde slides his hands up Sasuke’s stomach and chest slowly, appreciating well defined abs and the steady beat of Sasuke’s heart against his palm. With an impatient jerk, Sasuke’s dress shirt is freed from his waistband. Making quick work of the buttons, the shirt is pulled off and discarded into the backseat.
Sasuke’s hands explore the blonde’s body as Naruto relieves him of his shirt. Gripping his ass, dragging over his thighs, trailing up his chest to tease Naruto’s nipples. The raven haired man is surprised when Naruto slaps his hands away.
“Tonight is about you,” Naruto says in a deep, husky voice that sends a spark down Sasuke’s spine. It settles in his belly, igniting a fire that churns his guts. The fox smirks when he feels something twitch under his ass. “You had a hard day. Let me take care of you.”
Those damn blue eyes-- half lidded and particularly dripping with lust-- burn into Sasuke, stoking the fire in his pelvis. Naruto’s smirks at the dazed expression on his husband’s face. It’s a powerful feeling knowing that he’s the only person that can elicit this kind of reaction from Sasuke.
Pleased that Sasuke’s hands return to his waist, Naruto rewards his compliance with a sloppy kiss. Their tongues tangle, tasting and drinking each other in greedily. Naruto nips at Sasuke’s lower lip, sucking it gently before releasing it to kiss along his jawline. Warm hands fondle along Sasuke’s chest, pinching his nipples and rolling them gently. A slow roll of his hips drags a low moan from Sasuke. His erection presses more firmly to Naruto’s ass when Sasuke bucks his hips slightly. Naruto smiles against his neck, enjoying himself thoroughly. It’s an intoxicating thing being able to please Sasuke, Naruto doesn’t think he’ll ever get enough of it.
Careful not to leave any marks that would be visible with clothes on, Naruto sucks and bites down the column of Sasuke’s throat. The raven continues to groan and sigh, the vibrations buzz against Naruto’s lips. The blonde whimpers quietly, feeling his own cock strain against the fabric of his pants. Once below Sasuke’ collar line, Naruto starts to mark him in earnest. Bruising bites and reddening hickeys across Sasuke’s collarbone, an undeniable mark that Naruto had been there. When he reaches one hard nipple and laves over it with a hot tongue, Sasuke’s hips jump with a throaty moan.
“Naruto, god fuck,” Sasuke groans, thin fingers gripping Naruto hard enough to leave their own bruises. And oh god, Naruto moans at the sound of his name from Sasuke’s lips. Vulnerable and breathless and trusting. Unable to help himself, Naruto grinds his hips firmly against Sasuke’s. Their clothed erections brush and the car is filled with a collective groan from both men. Naruto licks and sucks Sasuke’s nipple in earnest now, sealing his lips around it and swirling his tongue. Light fingers dance along Sasuke’s sides down to his pants before skimming over his belt.
Releasing one nipple, Naruto kisses his way to the other, giving it the same treatment as the first. Nimble fingers make quick work of the raven’s belt, moving it out of the way to undo Sasuke’s pants. There’s another impatient buck of Sasuke’s hips, a silent plea to remove his pants, but Naruto makes no move to remove them. Instead, Naruto pulls away from Sasuke’s chest to plant another wet kiss on the raven’s lips. All the while doing slow, teasing thrusts against Sasuke’s cock. Sasuke is positively vibrating under Naruto at this point, dark eyes glassy and lips shining. Every thrust of Naruto’s hips pulls another breathy “fuck” from Sasuke’s mouth. The hands at his waist twitch and shake, desperate to move but knowing not to. It’s almost enough to undo Naruto right then but the blonde takes a shaky breath and grins seductively. Sasuke moans at the look alone, head falling back against the seat and eyes screwing closed.
His erection is borderline painful now, pressing into the starchy fabric of his work pants. Dribbles of pre-cum create a wet patch in his boxers that chafes the sensitive head. Every cell in his body is burning and yearning and straining to take his husband in every sense of the word. A desire so strong that Sasuke is ready to beg.
“Fuck, Naruto, please,” he whispers on the edge of his breath. Only for Naruto will he ask nicely, only for Naruto will he beg. There’s no shame when he pleads with Naruto, only understanding, only relief. “Fuck, I want you.”
Hot breath tickles Sasuke’s ear and he moans lowly when a wet tongue drags along the shell. “What did I tell you? Tonight is about you, you can have whatever you want.”
The warm breath disappears as Naruto sits back and shifts off Sasuke’s lap. Sliding down to kneel in the cramped space on the floor, Naruto reaches up to grip Sasuke’s waistband and pulls. Sasuke lifts his hips and helps by pushing his pants down. Pulling them just below Sasuke’s knees, the raven’s cock springs free. Fully erect, flushed the prettiest shade of pink that Naruto adores, leaking little pearls of precum. Naruto licks his lips, watching a bead slide from the slit. Sparing a glance up, sapphire meets obsidian. Sasuke is staring down at him, lips parted and eyes clouded with desire. The tension from his day is nowhere to be seen amongst the love and trust and passion. A flush stretches across his cheeks and up along his ears, vibrant against pale skin and dark hair.
“You’re so beautiful,” Naruto whispers without thinking, breathless and awestruck, before looking back down at the weeping dick before him. Calloused fingers slide slowly up the inside of Sasuke’s thighs. The blonde can feel muscle jump under his palms, little spasms and twitches that speak to how tightly wound Sasuke is.
The raven groans loudly when Naruto finally takes hold of him, grip firm and satisfying. Giving a few quick pumps and swiping his thumb over the head to smear precum around, Naruto lowers his head to kiss the tip lightly. Sasuke hisses through his teeth, one hand shooting out to bury in light hair. Naru hums approvingly, sending delightful reverberations through the head of Sasuke’s cock.
“Fuckkkk,” Sasuke blurts out, “Fuck I won’t last if you tease.”
This is Naruto’s favorite part. When Sasuke loses himself in the fire and pleasure. When he loses just a little bit of that strict filter that he uses around others. When he bares himself completely to Naruto, trusting Naruto beyond a shadow of a doubt. It never fails to exhilarate the blonde, jolting him like lightning and driving him wild.
Parting his lips, Naruto takes Sasuke’s head into his mouth and gives one hard suck. The fingers in his hair curl into a tight fist, pulling at the locks. The little sting of pain makes Naruto groan around Sasuke’s cock, resulting in a sharp thrust of Sasuke’s hips. His cock pushes into Naruto’s mouth, tickling the back of his throat. The blonde feels tears prick his eyes but lets his jaw and throat relax against the intrusion. Strong hands hold Sasuke’s thighs tightly, stabilizing Naru as Sasuke fucks his mouth.
Lost in the pleasure, Sasuke moans and groans and sighs as his prick slides in and out of Naruto’s mouth. Impossible hot, wet, soft, engulfing his entire length in ecstasy.
“So perfect,” he mumbles, the words chased out by a choked groan when Naruto presses his tongue firmly against the underside. “Gods, Naruto, you’re perfect.”
Naruto offers a pleased little hum, the only response he can give with a dick in his mouth. Sasuke hisses when the vibrations run up his prick and into his pelvis, feeling like little shocks of lightning. Naruto’s hands starting to wander intensify the sensation, the blonde’s fingertips feel like they conduct the lightning trapped under Sasuke’s skin. They drag over his thighs and over his hips before dipping down to massage his balls. One strays to stroke the very base of Sasuke’s cock, the little bit that doesn’t quite fit in his mouth.
As the dark haired man’s pace starts to pick up and Naruto feels the telltale tightening in Sasuke’s thighs, he quickly pulls his mouth off and sits away. The hand in his hair squeezes for a split second, trying to pull him back, before Sasuke releases him.
Naruto breathes deeply, getting his bearings and catching his breath. Spit shines on his lips and falls from the corner down to his chin. Blonde tresses are messier than usual, mussed and tangled from Sasuke’s fingers. Bright red is washed over his cheeks, up to his ears, and spreads down his throat. Sasuke groans at the sight, feeling his dick twitch with arousal. Naruto catches it too and those sweet, shiny lips spread into a coy smile.
“Do you want to get off like this, or should we move onto the next part?” He can’t help teasing a little bit. Who would they be if they didn’t tease one another, even in bed? Sasuke looks down at him with hooded eyes and raises a brow. Naruto smiles, that somehow sweet and devious smile.
Reaching into the center console, Naruto produces a bottle of lube that he keeps for these very occasions. Car sex isn’t the most common for them, but it’s good to be prepared. Sitting back, Naruto watches Sasuke’s eyes widen for a millisecond before he closes them with a shuddery breath. Naruto preens a little bit, thoroughly enjoying how flustered he’s gotten Sasuke.
Shuffling a bit, Naruto shucks off his shirt and tosses it away. Wiggling one leg out of his pants is a little difficult in the small space, but Naruto manages without kneeing himself in the face. Once he’s mostly naked, pants hanging around one ankle, Naruto pours some lube into his palms. Sapphire eyes watch Sasuke the whole time, feeling his heat gaze crawl over Naruto’s body. From the hand filled with lube, up his arm to his face, down his chest and stomach to stare at Naruto’s erect cock. Flushed pink with drops of cum gathered at the slit. Sasuke’s hand twitches to grasp it, but a sharp look from Naruto stops him.
“You tonight,” he repeats firmly, ocean eyes flashing seriously. Sasuke nods, breath leaving him in a rush. The raven doesn’t mind Naruto focusing on him, and would never say no to Naruto wanting to worship his body however he pleases. It’s just difficult to resist the urge to reciprocate, to shower Naruto in all the same passion and attention the blonde is providing. His husband deserved that. Always. Sasuke recognizes the adamant gleam in those bright eyes though and knows that Naruto won’t budge, no matter how much Sasuke tries to sway him.
Naruto smiles, fond and patient, before patting Sasuke’s thigh with his clean hand. “I’ve got you,” he says simply, easily. Those simple words feel like a gut punch to Sasuke; such tender, intimate words that dig under his skin and brand his soul. Sasuke opens his mouth to reply but he quickly forgets what he wants to say when a warm hand once again wraps around his dick. His hips jump, searching for firmer pressure against Naruto’s palms. The blonde chuckles, complying with Sasuke’s wordless request and squeezing a little tighter as he lathers lube over Sasuke’s length. His strokes are long and slow, pressure just enough for Sasuke to moan but light enough that it comes out frustrated and breathy. He takes extra time to fondle and massage Sasuke’s balls, enjoying the sharp gasp it draws from his husband.
When Sasuke is good and lubed, Naruto strokes from base to head and teases Sasuke’s slit for just a moment before he sits back on his heels and smiles prettily. Sasuke is a puddle at this point, achingly hard and desperate for release.
“Would you rather watch me prep, or help me prep?” Naruto whispers in a husky voice. It’s an even split chance on what Sasuke will say. As antsy as he’s been to pleasure Naruto tonight, he may want to do it himself. On the other hand, Naruto knows exactly how much it drives Sasuke crazy watching Naruto stretch and prepare himself for Sasuke’s cock. The raven usually can’t resist the sight of Naruto being good for him, being ready and willing to take everything that Sasuke has to offer.
Sasuke only thinks for a split second before the answer rolls off his tongue, desperate around the edge.
“Watch.”
A quick tongue licks his lips, anticipation burning in his dark eyes. Naruto nods, feeling a thrill of excitement as Sasuke’s gaze tracks his every movement, seeming to know what they are before they happen. Being the entire focus of Sasuke’s intense attention is intoxicating. Naruto will never grow tired of feeling that intent stare sink into his skin, through his bones and into his soul. Their eyes meet, light and dark clashing, intensity vibrating in the air between them. It’s moments like this that make Naruto feel like they’ve known each other for lifetimes; when their eyes meet and their souls greet each other fondly and it feels like there’s never been a moment in history when they didn’t exist together.
“I love you,” Naruto whispers, voice heavy with desire but soft with adoration. Sasuke replies by leaning forward and kissing Naruto hard and fierce. With the kind of intensity and fervor that leaves Naruto starry eyed and disoriented, feeling as if there’s no world outside of Sasuke’s lips on his.
“Wanna fuck you so bad,” Sasuke murmurs against his lips, “Get ready for me, babe.”
Naruto doesn’t need to be asked twice. His hand disappears between the seat and the door to grip the lever that leans the seat back. Sasuke dutifully presses his weight to aid the process, laying back at an angle once the seat stops moving. Wiggling to shift up the seat, Sasuke gives Naruto room to straddle him again. Their cocks touch briefly, heads brushing against each other and cum smearing along their skin. Both mean gasp and groan, shaking from the aftershocks the buzz through their bodies. Once he’s positioned comfortably, Naruto pours himself another generous supply of lube and tosses the bottle into the driver’s seat.
Spreading the liquid over his fingers, Naruto reaches under himself to press a finger to his hole. The warm, wrinkled skin gives easily as Naruto pushes a finger in, moaning lowly at the sensation. Sinking down onto his own finger, Naruto sets a slow, leisurely pace as he stretches himself out. A second finger joins the fist, Naru’s eyes fall shut and a sigh falls from well kissed lips. Sasuke swears quietly, nails digging into the seat below him. His prick twitches, hot precum burning along his slit and leaving little trails down his aching cock. The noise makes Naruto crack his eyes open, glimpses of bright blue peaking at Sasuke.
It’s a clear night and the bright light of the moon spills in through the car’s sunroof. Pale skin, covered in a sheen of sweat, glows under the beams. Sasuke is ethereal, breathtaking bathed in the soft light that blurs his edges and softens his features. As a third finger enters him, Naruto stutters out a moan and glances down at Sasuke’s cock. His pace picks up slightly, impatience coursing through him. His fingers are a pale substitute for the perfect, utterly satisfying way their bodies fit together.
Knowing he’s a minute or two from being ready, Naruto reaches out his free hand to wrap around Sasuke’s length. A guttural groan slips out of Sasuke, hot and low in the space between them. Hips rocking, bouncing the blonde slightly, Sasuke pushes his cock into Naruto’s palm. Normally Naruto wouldn’t mind watching Sasuke squirm a little bit, leaving him hard and desperate while Naruto leisurely fucks himself with his fingers. Tonight is about the raven though, his comfort and pleasure, so Naruto teases Sasuke’s swollen head with his thumb. Slowly over the slit, around the seam where the head becomes the shaft. Sasuke quivers under him, thighs trembling and nails scratching into the seat fabric.
“I want you,” Sasuke whispers, strained, “Wanna feel you, Naru.” It’s said like a plea and a prayer, coming from deep in Sasuke’s being. Naruto whimpers, fire in his belly flaring at the words. It’s a weak point of his, hearing out loud that he’s desired, longed for, wanted. Sasuke knows that and never fails to make Naruto’s heart melt and knees weak.
Deciding he’s well and stretched, withdraws his hands to plant them solidly on Sasuke’s shoulders. They kiss, heated and sloppy and wet. Teeth grazing lips and tongues sliding against each other. Sasuke’s hands grip Naruto’s waist hard enough to bruise, pulling the blonde closer. Naruto’s cock presses against Sasuke’s stomach and he moans into his husband’s mouth.
Pulling away, panting, Naruto takes in the sight of his husband. Absolutely ravished, flushed, glazed eyes and well kissed lips. None of the tall walls or armed guards, just an open, vulnerable Sasuke below him. Completely at his mercy. Looking at him with nothing but lust and desire and scorching love. The heat of his gaze makes Naruto buzz, tingle, burn in a way that only Sasuke’s attention causes. It’s too intense and not enough in all the same breath. A frantic, fluttering feeling gathers in Naruto’s chest, flooding his lungs and between his ribs. Bubbles and butterflies and the chaotic flutter of confetti cannon going off near his heart.
Desperate to be close, to be connected, to lose himself in their love and passion, Naruto reaches down to align Sasuke’s head with his hole. He wiggles a little bit, getting comfortable and maybe teasing Sasuke just a touch. The raven shoots him a sharp look, knowing exactly what his husband is doing. Naruto plasters on his sweetest smile, blue eyes glossy from desire and sparking with mischief.
“I already told you, bastard,” and in the static air around them, the insult is endearing and sensual, “Anything for you tonight,” and he leans just a hair closer, pinning Sasuke with wild, hungry sapphire eyes.

Ok Music Interview with LUCK LIFE
Tumblr media
“We want to sing songs that will pierce your heart in a way you could never get rid of them.”
Their single “Naru”, the opening theme of the TV anime “Tsurune —Kazemai Koukou Kyuudou-bu—”, is a rock number that can be considered LUCK LIFE’s rule of right. PON (vocalist and guitarist) states that the contents of the anime linked up with them after they were chosen to make the song, but what does this mean?
Raw || Index || My Ko-fi  ( ╹◡╹)っ’・*
——“Naru” is the theme of a TV anime that depicts examples of youth from a high school archery club, but when I heard the lyrics “shoot deep into their chests, become a sound that will stab them in a way they could never get rid of it” from the moment you start singing, I guessed that the image of it had come quickly to you.
When I heard that it was going to be an anime about Japanese archery, I thought that I could not sing about anything other than LUCK LIFE itself. In live concerts, we always introduce ourselves with, “We have come to sing songs that will stab your hearts in a way you won’t be able to get rid of them”. So, to tell the truth, it was practically finished by the time we had our meeting with the director, and just as I was thinking that it would be best if we could go on with it the way it was, we were told things like, “it needs to have a sense of dash” and, “the image is of blowing wind”. This fit perfectly with the song (laughs). Also, making the things that we have always been saying on-stage into a song gave us quite a bit of courage.
——What do you mean by “courage”?
When you make things that you have been carrying as a policy into a song, wouldn’t you be like, “What even was all that stuff I’ve been shouldering until now?” if the song was not good enough? So we are glad and relieved that it properly took form.
——It turned out as a good song, then.
We got a lot of feedback. We had Honma Akimitsu-san as the sound producer this time too, but when we made our previous albums “Dear Days” and “Hashitte” together with him, Honma-san took the initiative and gave us many suggestions. Yet we were the ones who took the initiative this time, like, “We want to go for this kind of image”, and Honma-san reacted to it like, “Then let’s try doing this”, so we were able to have a different sort of balance from the previous times, which was good. He gave form to the things that we did not know how to go on about.
——There might be people out there who only care about listening to the title song, but this time, I especially want them to properly listen to not just “Naru” but also the other two coupling songs.
Really, you are right. It has me thinking, “Don’t you look down on LUCK LIFE’s coupling” (laughs).
——PON-san, aren’t your feelings particularly evident in the second track, “Tana no Ue no Boku”?
Yeah~ (laughs). I tried to put myself aside for a bit and talk repeatedly about the things around me. By the way, I thought this was going to be the last song that we were going to release in the Heisei Era. Iko-chan (Ikoma’s pet name) came up with the riff, and from that point on, we created the song through having sessions, but in doing this, the shout during the hook was born, so we were like, “Then let’s try to say, ‘hey, say’ (Heisei)” (laughs). We will all be in our 30’s this year, so as part of a generation that lived with the Heisei Era, I began writing the lyrics from trying to announce myself to the world, and after saying all I had to say while pitching in some playfulness, I thought, “I really am blind to my own shortcomings, huh”, so in the end, it goes, “Sorry, I was also like that” (laughs). The song is very PON-like, including that part. I think it would have been cool to write lyrics that sound like they are cutting through this world, and that it would be good for the listeners, but I thought I should try writing something different from what I sing. It would have been bad if they took offense in it. Aren’t there plenty of songs like those? That make you go, “Is this thing about me!?”. If anyone were to think this, then the meaning of making the song would have been gone.
——So you were also honest about that. The riff brought about by Ikoma-san had a bit of a Latine funk feeling to it.
When Iko-chan brought it up, I thought, “You did it!”. I had been saying it ever since the previous album. That “anything is fine, so give me ideas”. I guess he probably came up with it because he saw me suffering alone with making lyrics like that. It would be great if this could go on (laughs).
——Now, about the four-key third track, “Ongaku no Eki”, I wondered if you were singing about your past and current selves.
Right. It is as if young PON, who admired the Kinki Kids that he saw in fourth grade at Music Station, wrote a thorough letter about it. My dream to be in Music Station has not changed, but aren’t I still midway? Of course, I am closer to it now than back then, and I wanted to say that there were other wonderful things aside from the world I saw on TV back then. Meeting many people in live houses and having them tell me that they like my songs was actually this great. I wanted to boast that “I couldn’t see this happening when I was in fourth grade”, to tell people about it. At first, I was thinking of making it into a gentle song that says prickly things, but while writing it, I thought, “This abusive language sounds like I’m aiming it at someone. I’m disgusted with myself”, so I completely erased about half of I had written and rewrote it.
——I think that is also like you, PON-san. Lastly, let me ask for an additional speech about your excitement towards the tour in celebration of your ten-year anniversary, which will happen in Mainabi BLITZ Akasaka on November 28.
I took part in Akasaka BLITZ once when I was 23, to perform the opening act of a two-man live between Chatmonchy and Nanao Tavito-san, and I recall trembling as I sang amidst that incredible line-up of people, but when I think that we are going to sing with guests that we ourselves crammed into the live this time, as expected, I am trembling again (laughs), so I want to do my best for it to be the peak of our tour. All of the public performances in this tour have been changed in the set list, because we also feel a sense of atmosphere from them. We gathered up the set list that we deem as best all over again, and we hope that people can attend while keeping in mind that we will properly convey a sense of planned structure in Akasaka BLITZ and that it will be full of heat.

27. Sexual Harassment
read the scarecrow and the bell on ao3
index | from the beginning | < previous | next >
It was that time of the year when the weather was at its peak—the chill of winter had made way for the impending summer heat, but it was not yet quite so hot that the sun sucked all of the energy out of you. Young adults all over the village took full advantage of this time of the year, trekking out at sundown to bar hop and gamble and carry on in the streets. It was definitely the liveliest season for Konoha’s youth.
While neither Rei nor Kakashi were necessarily ones for the nightlife, there was little else to do with so much drunken yelling from outside that they shrugged and dropped their introverted pasttimes for the hell of it. Their books wouldn’t miss them for just one night of socialization. More than anything, they were positive the most enjoyment they would get from this was laughing quietly at the drunken idiots stumbling down the street. Neither of them were surprised to find Jiraiya among them.
“Hey, Kakashi!” he called down the street, a woman on each arm. “Nice to see you out enjoying the nightlife for once” he said as he came nearer. “And looks like you’ve gotten yourself a date, too!”
“Master Jiraiya, how much have you had to drink tonight?” Kakashi asked cautiously. Jiraiya glanced from one side to the other, surveying the girls on his arms.
“Apparently not enough!” he then laughed, nudging Kakashi on the shoulder and adding quietly “If you know what I mean.” Kakashi sighed and he was yet again grateful to be wearing a mask so no one could see his cheeks blush in embarrassment. “Here, you two follow me. I want to show you something!” Jiraiya then announced, urging the couple to join him. Rei glanced to her boyfriend with concern. She didn’t know Jiraiya nearly as well as Kakashi did, but she knew enough to understand that this was likely not going to go well.
The sannin led them to the window of a little antiques shop. Rei recognized it as the one that was run by an old woman her grandmother had known, someone she had grown up with or something. On the exterior display shelf sat a tiny mechanical monkey holding a pair of cymbals. Jiraiya inserted a coin and pressed a button, and the monkey began to bang his instrument to the tune of a peppy old song. “Look at him go!” Jiraiya laughed. “You know, he kind of looks like Orochimaru! I think they have the same nose, huh?”
Oh my god, Rei thought to herself, glancing at Kakashi with a fake smile pasted on her face. Kakashi sighed and shook his head as his girlfriend buried her face in her hands. Quite frankly, she didn’t particularly want to be associated with an easily amused pervy toad sage. Kakashi thought of the two of them sneaking off for a moment, but then something else captured his attention. His ears honed in to a conversation between two drunken men behind them, laughing and falling all over each other. He felt their eyes land on Rei’s lower back, catching murmurs of terms like “sexy” and “give me a piece of that ass.” He clenced his jaw as he focused all of his attention on their voices, itching to wrap his arm around Rei in a protective manner, an assertion of dominance and ownership.
For drunk men, they were fast. They fell forward and the one’s hand barely grazed Rei’s ass before Kakashi swooped in and gripped his wrist hard. “I would think twice about what you’re about to do” he said, glaring at both of them. Rei gasped as she turned around, completely unaware of the danger she had been in. “I suggest you both just move along” Kakashi continued, his free hand skating up towards his headband, “I don’t want to have to use this.”
The two men recognized him immediately and very quickly regretted their decisions. Supposedly from behind, they had a hard time distinguishing his identity, but now it was crystal clear: they had just crossed Kakashi of the Secondhand Sharingan. If they didn’t atone for their mistake, he would surely make them pay. They bowed their heads and apologized profusely before running off, nearly tripping over their own two feet as they went.
“K-Kakashi, what was that all about?” Rei asked. Her eyes had grown wide with shock and confusion. He turned to face her with a certain breed of frustration and coldness in his eyes.
“We’re going home” was all he said before taking her hand in his and guiding her back to the apartment complex. I knew we never should’ve done this, he thought to himself. The only way he would ever let a man lay a hand on Rei was if he was dead, and even then he couldn’t guarantee anything. And all the while, Rei was still begging for answers, looking around confusedly, which only seemed to make matters much worse.
He said nothing the entire journey back, locking the door as she leaned against his desk with arms crossed. “I wish you would just tell me what the fuck is going on” she insisted. “Are you mad at me or something? Because I didn’t do anything wrong.”
Kakashi exhaled sharply, unable to even look at her. “That’s exactly the problem, you didn’t do anything” he said, voice low.
               “What are you talking about?”
“Those men were about to assault you and you had no idea” he finally said, voice firm but booming. Rei was taken aback—normally Kakashi was calm and collected, even in battle. This was a version of him she was unfamiliar with, even after all this time. “You should’ve been paying closer attention. I expected better of you as an ANBU Black Ops member.”
His words stung, a poison kunai straight to the chest. He was right. She should’ve been more aware. She should’ve never let her guard down. “I just…” she stammered. “I just thought, I don’t know…I was with you. I felt safe. I didn’t think I needed to worry so much…”
“Well one day, I might not be there” Kakashi said. “I need to know I can trust you to keep yourself safe.”
“Kakashi, what are you trying to say?” Rei asked. “I’ve made it this far without your help, haven’t I? I don’t need you to protect me all the time. I can handle myself.”
“Tonight proves to me that you can’t” Kakashi growled. He didn’t want to show any sign of being hurt by her words now. He didn’t like to think about those days, all that time he had pushed her away. He knew no matter what, she would always resent him for that, and it made him sick.
Rolling her eyes, Rei scoffed and muttered, “I’m not a baby, you know. I can handle myself just fine without you.”
“Well, until you prove that to me, I don’t think I can believe you” he growled back.
Rei sucked in a deep breath, forcing herself not to cry in front of him. Crying would only make things worse. Crying would only reinforce the fact that she was weak and vulnerable, and negate her claim that she was not, in fact, a baby. “I think I should go” she said quietly. She pushed past him, unlocked the door, stepped out into the hallway. “I’ll talk to you in the morning.”
It wasn’t until she was safely back in her own apartment that she let herself break down. How could it have possibly come to this? What had become of this god awful night? She curled up in bed and prayed to fall asleep quickly so she wouldn’t have to overthink it.
Come morning, Kakashi woke up feeling groggy and worn out. He could scarcely sleep, and there was a lump in the pit of his stomach. He considered knocking on Rei’s front door as he stepped into the hallway but restrained himself. She never was one to wake up early, and if he tried to speak with her now it would only make things worse. He pressed his hand against the door, ran his fingers down to graze the knob, and then walked away.
“So, what is exactly is the problem?” Naru asked, leaning back in her seat. She held her cup of tea casually in one hand, left leg crossed over top of the right.
Rei blinked. “Naru, I told you” she replied. “Kakashi got his panties in a bunch because apparently I’m not alert enough. I really don’t want to have to go through the whole spiel again.”
“No, I know all that” Naru replied with dismissive wave of her hand. “I’m not deaf. I just don’t see how any of this is a problem…?”
Groaning, Rei buried her face in her hands. “My god” she sighed. “It’s a problem because it’s an insult to my ability! The idea of me being unalert…I don’t know, it just made me feel like he was saying I wasn’t good enough. Like I’m some weak, whiny little child.”
“Well, you’re not exactly disproving the whiny part” Naru laughed. The redhead shot her a death glare. Naru took another sip of her tea, then spread her hands across the table like an entrepreneur about to propose a massive deal. “Listen, I know you’ve got this complex where you always have something to prove but just this once, can you please not act like everyone is against you?”
Rei crossed her arms and sucked her teeth. “How do you expect me to do that?”
“For starters, you can stop being such a whiny little bitch about this” Naru suggested. “And most importantly, try to muster up some sense of empathy. Do you have any idea what those guys might have had in mind?”
She hadn’t thought too deeply about it. She hadn’t wanted to. But now she had no choice. The scenarios began filtering through her head, and they scared her. “Yeah, well, what about it?” Rei fired back. “It’s not like I can’t handle myself.”
“That doesn’t mean a damn thing, Rei” Naru replied, slamming her fist on the table. Taken aback, Rei brushed a strand of hair behind her ear and coughed into her fist.
“N-Naru, listen, I’m sorry, just…just don’t cause a scene, alright?” Rei asked quietly.
Naru chewed her bottom lip and leaned back in her seat. “Do you have any idea why this bugs me so much, Rei?” she asked after a moment of silence. Rei shook her head. “I have been in your position countless times before. I have been sexually harassed more times than I can count on one hand, one time almost even raped. It doesn’t matter how skilled you are. It doesn’t matter where you are, what you’re wearing, nothing. Men don’t care. If they want to take advantage of you, they will. You try to fight but…it only encourages them further. Nowhere is safe anymore. Not even your own village.”
There was a long stretch of silence as Rei struggled to comprehend what she had just heard. “W-when…?” was all she could finally croak out. Naru shrugged and took another sip of her tea.
“The most recent was a few months back, on a mission” she replied.
“Who would do something like that?” Rei asked.
“You’d be surprised” Naru said. “This is exactly what Chikara-sensei warned us about back then. We should’ve taken her more seriously.”
“And here I thought she was just drilling extremes into our heads” Rei sighed, taking a swig of her own tea.
Naru ran a hand through her short blonde hair and shook her head. “Listen, I know you’re probably still pissed, and after everything you’ve been through, I wouldn’t blame you. But for the love of god, do not stay mad at Kakashi. He did what he felt was right by protecting you. I wish I would’ve had someone like that to step in and interfere when I was being targeted.”
Rei couldn’t stomach heading home that afternoon once her lunch with Naru had ended. She didn’t think she could handle being cooped up in that stuffy apartment, never knowing if and when Kakashi would knock on her door. Instead, she wandered around the village until, come midnight, she found herself downing her fourth sake in a bar. Perhaps alcohol could have cleared out all the bad thoughts, but as she called over the bartender and ordered yet another drink, she realized more than anything it just amplified them. Naru’s words echoed in her head, pounding unrelenting like massive drums.
She had a fair point. Knowing her own history with sexual harassment made Naru’s stance that much more understandable. And yet a part of her still couldn’t fully come to terms with the idea of Kakashi being quite so overprotective. Had she not proven herself already? She was a part of the ANBU now. She thought that was enough. Apparently not. She took another swig of her drink, then left some money on the bar and headed out. It was getting late, the booze clearly wasn’t helping, and now she just wanted to go someplace quiet and be left alone.
As she trudged back to her apartment, tipsy and tired, she heard voices echo in the background. There was something familiar about them, something she couldn’t quite put her finger on. Was it Guy on his way home from a late-night training session? No, these voices weren’t exuberant enough. Maybe Asuma walking Kurenai home? No, not him either. It wasn’t until she passed the antique shop that she fully recognized it. The men from before.
“Hey, sexy! What are you doing out here all alone? Where’s your boyfriend, huh?” the one asked, and then in a flash he was mere inches from her face, trapping her between himself and the wall.
“I smell sake on your breath” the other growled. “Looks like someone’s had a little too much to drink.”
“I’m perfectly sober, thanks” Rei spat, narrowing her eyes at them though her vision was blurry and doubled. She hoped she hid it well enough.
“We better take you back to our place, just to be safe” the first one replied, skating a gentle hand across her cheek and down her neck.
“I said I’m fine” Rei insisted. The second man laughed incredulously.
“She’s feisty!” he commented. Then, turning to his partner, “Guess we’ll have to do things the hard way.”
“Rei!” a voice shouted from down the street. Before they had time to react, the men lunged forward to seize her. Then the pang of metal glinting in the streetlights, a splash of blood, and they fell to the ground crying in agony. Kakashi blinked from the other end of the road.
“Told you I was sober” Rei growled, leaning down just close enough to slash them one last time with the kanzashi from her ponytail. “It’s sad, really. So undesirable that you have to harass women just to get laid. What would your mothers think?”
“R-Rei…” Kakashi stammered, rushing toward her. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?”
“Just taking care of some business” she replied, sliding the pin back into her hair.
“They could’ve hurt you” he replied.
“Yeah, and I stopped them” Rei said back. “Now they won’t be hurting anyone anymore” she replied, jerking her head down toward the pair. They both held their crotches and panted in pain. “And if they do,” she then added, giving them each one last kick in the pants for good luck, “They’ll know what’s coming.”
“You should’ve let me handle things” Kakashi replied.
“From all the way over there?” Rei asked, motioning to the other end of the street. “They would’ve already violated me ten different ways by the time you got over here. I took care of it myself. I’m safe. Isn’t that enough for you?”
Kakashi heaved a sigh and ran a hand through his hair. “It’s more complicated than that” he sighed.
“Then explain it to me, please” Rei begged, borderline hysterical now. If she let herself be vulnerable, she was a liability and putting herself in danger, and yet if she defended herself, she was still doing something wrong. Either way, she couldn’t fucking win.
“I can’t afford to lose you!” Kakashi finally exploded. “I don’t like the thought of you being in danger. I can’t stand to lose anyone else. I made a promise when I first met you that I would protect you with my life, and so far I feel like I’ve failed in that so I can’t afford to screw up anymore.”
Rei blinked, staring back at him dumbfounded. This was a lot of information to take in at once, and she wasn’t totally honest when she said she was sober. Then, finally, she straightened her back and sucked in a deep breath. “Well, I appreciate your concern, but I’m not a child anymore. I’m not helpless.”
“I’m sorry for ever making you think that was how I felt” Kakashi replied. “But I’m not sorry for how I reacted.” He stepped forward slowly, cupping her cheek in his hand and looking at her with a weak, teary gaze. “You are…very precious to me, Rei. I don’t ever want to lose you, and whether you like it or not, I am going to do everything in my power to make sure I never do.”

BIGMAMA - Funbalance - Lyrics
Funbalance is Unbalance 山あり谷あり波あり 蟻地獄落とし穴さえも歓迎します
Unbalance is Funbalance

You shine for a moment, but devotion takes a lifetime Though I can’t get a good balance A mistake lasts a moment, but regret lasts a lifetime Since you can’t go back, there’s no time for you to be lost
We’ll become stars, be swept away by a broom, and grant your wishes Each time morning comes, I hope to be reborn
An injury is momentary, but hurting others is eternal You can’t make things back to how they were before Falling in love takes a moment, but understanding each other takes a lifetime Please look after me forever and ever
Funbalance is unbalance There are peaks and valleys and waves; I even welcome the pits of lion ants
Unbalance is funbalance The scales of happiness and unhappiness alertly use that weight to once again raise the Sun
Every night will turn to morning The end is the beginning; the continuation of time progresses on, so you have no reason to purposely doubt the coincidences before you
We’ll become stars, be swept away by a broom, and grant your wishes Each time morning comes, I hope be reborn

1, 2, 3 and 9 for the meme :P
Thank you Serahne! You always send me asks for these memes, and I appreciate it :D
Also sorry for the delay again. This time I actually had computer trouble when I was near the end, so I lost my answer, lol. ANyways, I’m sorry it’s really long because I like to go on tangents and further explain things ^^;
From Here: https://kimmysfandomblog.tumblr.com/post/169753929827/ship-asks
what is your absolute favorite ship?
what ship do you hate most?
what was your first ship, and what fandom is it from?
what is the most underrated ship, in your opinion?
Just as a warning, I do quite a bit of ship negativity and have V3 spoilers for the last question! check the tags for the ships that I’m negative about.
what is your absolute favorite ship?
Well, I think it’s pretty obvious that KomaHina is my favorite pairing! I love the relationship Haji and Ko have with each other. It’s a very complicated one, no doubt, but these boys always seem to create more complications instead of fixing any misconceptions ^^;.
What I really love is the potential for the ship post-canon! I feel like now that there is no time pressure, they’ll both finally have a chance to heal. I think that these two had it the toughest. They both believed strongly in Hope’s Peak Academy’s poisonous mentality in Talent being equivalent to how worthy you are as a person, measured in “Hope” for how much you can help society later. They both never considered themselves anything special and were on the outside looking in, but their way to cope with being “average” was different. While Ko just accepts his place, not even taking any compliments because he feels like he doesn’t deserve them, Haji fights to prove his own worth, and if the system for worth is based on talent, he even sacrificed his own body, mind, and spirit to finally be of worth. They are at these two extremes of how to cope, so I think given their perspectives on the issue and having it be proven just how toxic the mentality is, they can in turn help each other find that balancing point of acceptance to the new world order, so to speak.
Also, even in-game, there was a dynamic showing their strengths and weaknesses playing off one another. Haji is a super caring guy, and he genuinely tries to understand Ko, no matter how wary he feels of him. However, he always runs away from problems or denies them, even if he does eventually come back to try to solve them. Ko, in the mean time, cares, but he cares more for the toxic ideology of Hope’s Peak Academy (which is understandable once you know his backstory). All of his decisions are not based on emotion, but on what he would deem the logically best outcome (or maybe ideologically?). He is always fully against running away from the problem, no matter how tough the solution would be. So, in how I view these two characters, they compliment each other so well. Haji would be the emotional support and hopefully help Ko open up more to him and to the others so that he can learn to care about himself, and Ko can be the logical one motivating Haji not to run from problems, or the solutions that would probably lead to some sort of loss.
Everyone points out the aborted confession means Ko has a crush on Haji, but Haji really did like Ko in the beginning. They both felt calm towards each other, and Haji’s rejection towards Ko in the first trial was a result of him feeling betrayed that he person he woke up to on the beach was not the person Haji thought he was. Still, he tris to understand Ko while the others accept him as an outcast and don’t give a chance, while Haji feels conflicted because he’d seen a nicer side of Ko, so while he’d like to do the same, his caring side is asking himself why things turned out this way. That’s why I’m sure he was close to forgiving Ko in the FTEs. If Ko had a good reason for his actions, than why not forgive him and help him? Haji tries the whole game to deny any association with Ko, but it’s there and he realizes how much Ko helps even if he doesn’t ever admit it.
Koma//Hina brings up so many good points of discussion, and it leads to thinking about all of these AUs and speculations about post canon. The relationship is very complex, and it’s easily put into many different situations and wonder just how they would handle it. I guess that is why I like it so much!!! I hope that Kodaka never touches the Hope’s Peak storyline again and mess it up though :/ We really don’t need to, like, ship Haji with an AI or some other female charcter just to keep him straight and keep Ko the tragic character. Just saying :P
what ship do you hate most?
I have very few ships that I hate, so it wasn’t that hard to pick Junko///miki. Mikan has been through abuse and sexual exploitation her whole life. She’s very easily manipulated for fear that she’d endure more abuse, even by those that would never cause her any harm. Junko, in the mean time, does everything Mikan tries to avoid, except she adds her poison of getting Mikan to actually like the abuse because of despair and having it translate as “love and attention” instead of physical and emotional pain. The only way I can ever see this working is with an OOC/much toned-down Junko in some AU. Even then, the source of the ship really irks me most of the time :/
what was your first ship, and what fandom is it from?
Well, I think my first fandom was the Naruto fandom. I was into Naru//Hina and I hate how they became canon. I was also into Sasu//Naru, though I didn’t like it quite as much as Naru//Hina because as developed as it was, I couldn’t see Sasuke seriously reciprocating? Like, he’s done a lot of things to annoy Naruto, but it was always in a rivalry and he always just saw himself as better, yet when Naruto gets close to his level, he freaks because he’s dependent on the idea he has to be better than anyone to kill his brother, and Naruto, the idiot/dead last ninja, getting close to his level is some kind of failure on his part not to advance as quickly. I understand the complications, but I can’t see it happening in anything but an AU.
As for why I liked Naru//Hina, I saw myself in Hinata a little? Especially since I was even more shy as a kid, and no self confidence (not that that has changed all that much lol). Also, seeing how Naruto helps her gain a bit of confidence in the Chuunin exams made me root for her, and his concern leading to him swearing on her blood to get Neji to pay (and then beating Neji in a tough-won battle and spinning Neji’s ideology on its head). She doesn’t get a lot of screen time, and the manga makes fun of how hard she crushes on him, how shy she is, and how oblivious he is despite obvious signs, but I just shipped them together for it. I’d believed that they would compliment each other well (loud-obnoxious with shy-reserved: he’d tone it down a bit around her and she’d gain confidence in herself and come out of the shell more for other people, and they both share the same ideology and goals to become better and stronger for those around them and to prove themselves to those who doubted them). My opinion on the ship itself hasn’t changed that much, but I understand the hatred towards it, especially with how it became canon :/ I really would have preferred nothing become canon than what we got...
what is the most underrated ship, in your opinion?
This one was the hardest to answer... Like, there’s a lot of “crack pairings” that I ship based on the way I see characters and their personalities, and then shipping them based on the potential (Oum//ami, Hin//aegi, AI Kamu//Nami, and Koma//Nami definitely fall into this category). There isn’t a whole lot of canon interaction, if any (lol at Kamu//Nami), and a lot of people just don’t see the characters the way I do, and that’s fine! I’ll just have fun in rare-pair hell, like usual.
So, to actually answer the question, I’d have to say Sai/Mota would be my pick for underrated ship. Shuichi and Kaito already have development in canon. Kaito is told that Shuichi struggles by continuously placing the blame on himself after convicting someone to their punishment, especially when the culprit had a “good reason” to commit their crime. He also saw something in Shuichi’s motive video that made him approach Shuichi in the first place. Because of that, he takes on the role of “hero” and takes all of the responsibility onto himself, so that if Shuichi thinks he makes a mistake, Kaito can brush it off of him.Yeah, a lot of people saw Kaito as interfering with the investigation, but I’m pretty sure he’s aware how important Shuichi is in the investigation. He’s only around so that he can he that emotional support. He sees what Shuichi has investigated, asks questions and points things out so that maybe he can help Shuichi figure things out. The first trial, when Shuichi is beginning to doubt himself, he reminds him not to think about the responsibility and just do his best. No one will fault Shuichi if he makes the wrong deduction. He also makes a mistake in assuming Shuichi knows everything, and he doesn’t really do that again in the trials after.
Kaito certainly has a hero complex, but I’m positive he’s aware of more than he lets on. He is actually pretty good at lying and has very strong sense of morals (he will never forgive killing someone, and since Kokichi was already on his way to death, taking the blame for his death was just a little easier). He was also somehow able to take the test to become an astronaut and pass and knows numerous languages fluently. Now, given what we can see of Kaito, he always seems like the idiot, the Hagakure or Souda of the V3 cast, but this time, he takes a more active role in the story. He is playing his part to keep morale as high as he can. He unfortunately lets that role get to him in Chapter 4, when he adamantly defends Gonta and realizes at the end of the trial just how close all of them got to death for his mistake. He can’t look Shuichi in the eye after that, maybe a bit mad for him siding with Kokichi during the trial, but more mad at himself for not seeing how much Shuichi grew to be able to not need Kaito’s support anymore during a trial, and for letting himself get in the way of that.
As for Shuichi, there is so much concern for Kaito once Kaito helped him relieve his stress about making wrong decisions and reaches out to him in Chapter 2. Shuichi may be a little exasperated at times, especially at being a sidekick when Kaito doesn’t really do anything, and Shuichi is a little snarky about that internally, but he truly appreciates Kaito. Kaito’s FTEs really don’t make a lot of sense since he rambles on a fictional story supposedly about how he became an astronaut, but the important part is how supportive Kaito is of Shuichi and how much Shuichi appreciates having Kaito so close and knowing he can rely on Kaito to help him feel at ease about the situation. It really does seem like Shuichi has a crush on Kaito built from his admiration of him, even if he doesn’t really realize that is what it was.
Sorry, I rambled a lot about Sai/Mota already, but I never really said why I think it’s underrated? It’s pretty clearly overshadowed by Oum//asai, Sai//Aka, and Kai//Maki, but to me I just don’t like these pairings as much. Sai//Aka I do kinda like, but the other two I kind of don’t. It’s not like they are NOTPs, I just don’t like them for different reasons. I didn’t like Oum//asai because, well, it’s very boring to me and I don’t get it and the popularity. I tried to understand it and the love for Kokichi, really, but they didn’t hit anything I liked and both the realtionship between the two and Kokichi’s characterization are quite straightforward in canon, while the fandom made me convinced that they’d be super complex (and honestly if people didn’t keep spoiling me, maybe things would have been much more different. Actually I’m positive fandom ruined it for me.) I don’t like Kai//Maki because, well, it makes me sad for Maki falling for a guy that apparently unintentionally lead her on :/ And Sai//Aka has it’s major problem of reducing Kaede to some 2D character with little backstory there to be killed for a man’s character development... when in Chapter 1 and prologue she was a character with many conflicted feelings trying to do her best.
Thankfully, Sai//mota isn’t that much of a rare pair, especially once the English Release hit, but it’s definitely not that popular, or people don’t get it because to them, they are just bros (perfectly understandable either way). I just wish there was more Sai//mota content because there’s a lot of evidence for it and it’s a ship that’s pretty mutually beneficial to me.
Sorry again for rambling a lot! I tried to cut it shorter... tried is the key word here hahaha ^^;;;;

Quiver - ch. 2
Chapter 1
Summary: A quest to gain and lose it all.
Comments: I’ve been gone for a while... oops
Disclaimer: I don’t own Naruto. Also, I’m not sure of the rating yet so anything can happen.
Kakashi stared into Naruto's unbreakable wide stare. His mouth opens in a small gasp that escaped his lips after hearing what the wizard said only a minute ago. The older man understood the human man's frozen stare. He too, if given that statement, would've also been in disbelief.
"Wh-" Naruto gasped his head, leaning his elbows on the table in front of the two- "What do you mean this can give me my kingdom back?" Naruto snatched at the scroll harshly, not caring about the damage he could do to the clearly old parchment. Kakashi, however, had to hold himself down to try and rescue the paper. "How could this Elfish scroll give me my kingdom back? This is not something to joke about, you wizard."
Kakashi rolled his head slightly, trying to sooth the strain in his neck. Perhaps telling Naruto the meaning of the scroll so soon was a bad idea he thought. The man seemed to be having a mental breakdown- he expected shock, but the once prince seemed like he was about to cry. He looked back towards Naruto; he couldn't see his face but his shoulders were shaking well. Indications of crying, Kakashi believed. The wizard sighed behind his mask, "Naru-"
"Well, why the hell didn't you say so sooner?"
Abruptly the Kakashi turned towards Naruto who, instead of having tear stained cheeks like he expected, was full out grinning. A craze look in his azure eyes that showed his excitement was beyond comprehension. The wizard did not know what to make of this sudden change of emotion. However, he guessed, it was better than his former expression- he always enjoyed seeing the broad, unimaginably large grin of the prince during his younger days. Days, where he would watch Naruto from the Uzumaki gardens as the young child of the time, would run to the queen to show her the frog he caught- before it hopped out of his small chubby hands causing him to cry. Days where he had a place to live in comfort. Days when his family was alive and a golden crown was placed on his head. Days that were not like this one.
"Why are we waiting then-" he pointed to one of the images blindly- "If this piece of paper can give me back my kingdom why are we going now!" Naruto bellowed loudly, heads turning in their direction before another upbeat song came from the busty women they were watching.
"Naruto, keep your voice down," hushed Kakashi. "You don't know who could be listening."
Naruto quickly shut his mouth before giving the tavern a look around making sure that no one caught his words exactly. Content when all he saw was men continuing to sway or pass out at the bar he looked back at Kakashi with a sheepish grin of apology. The wizard sighed into his mask.
"Sorry." Naruto turned back to the parchment, taking one more quick glance back into the swarm of boozed bodies to ensure no one was looking their way; Kakashi did the same silently. "Then where to, wizard?" Naruto questioned. "Aren't we wasting time?"
"Calm down, Naruto," Kakashi said, "it's dark out, we can't get any traveling done tonight." He watched as the human slumped in his seat- the flush of his cheeks showing his remaining drunkenness. "And, we have one stop before we can begin our journey."
"Why?" the blonde questioned with a huff. "We have our map, we need not go anywhere else first."
In the image of the human's great triumphs and victories, Kakashi seemed to forget how small minded and unobserving Naruto could be. "Who-" Kakashi waved his hand toward the paper again- "is going to read this map? Unless you have taken up the Elvish language while we have been apart?" It was a small joke, but Naruto gave no laugh of amusement to the comment.
Instead, Naruto looked down to the small for the hundredth time, the delicate script made of confusing swirls and tight connections liter the surface of the paper. Even if he tried with all his will, he knew that without an elf in presence he would never know the words of the paper. However, he also knew that any elf would rather die before doing something for another race. "Arrogant bastards," he thought.
"Wait," Naruto jolted up, "Does that mean we are going-"
"Ah-" Kakashi turned the paper over slowly a tiny seal in the shape of a fan in one corner- "We have to go to the Uchiha lands."
Naruto tried to keep down a small shiver that wanted to follow up his spine. He could remember only one time in his youth- when his parents were alive- when he came across Uchiha elves. A small group of messengers came to his family's castle to deliver a message to his father. Though he did know the contents of their message that day he would never forget the eyes of one grown elf that gave him a side glance. Their eyes were dark and unwavering. As a child, he felt as if he were falling into a dark hole the small second he locked eyes with the grown elf. Their kind, he remembered thinking, was scary. The thought made him grab his sword at his side tighter.
"Could… Could," Naruto coughed to cover his small stutter. "Couldn't we go to the Hyuuga's instead?" The Hyuuga's may not be any better, but Naruto knew Kakashi had some standing with the King of that clan. "Surely they could read this script?"
Kakashi remained silent as he listened to Ume screech at a couple men who were getting a little handsy with the entertainment before he added, "No, this is strictly Uchiha, no one else could read it, but one of their kind." Naruto gave understanding with a grim nod.
"Well-" the wizard grabbed the parchment and began to roll it back up- "the journey to their land is far. I will meet you at the edge of the village when the sun breaks over the peak." Kakashi stood from his seat, making his way around the table. Naruto was about to retort before being given a knowing eye from the Wizard.
"Flush out your drinks and be prepared to travel. Tell then."
Naruto blinked and the wizard was gone.
 >>>
"I'll meet you when the sun breaks over the peak my ass," the young prince grumbled.
Feeling the heat of the noon sun beating down on his clad black, Naruto debated whether he should leave with the wizard who was hours late to their dispatch. Ever since his childhood, the wizard has never once been on time, but the blonde thought that just this once, for something important, he would show on time.
Gripping his long sword's hilt, Naruto cursed, "When I get my hands," he paused and threw his hands up in the air. "You know what, never mind, that wizard can be fed to the orces! I'm leav-"
"How do you expect to leave without a guide?" Kakashi called out from behind Naruto. The masked man watched as Naruto pivoted to face him. Knowing he was going to be yelled at, Kakashi put his hand up to give his excuse, "Sorry, I must have had too many drinks last night and I-"
"Liar," Naruto yelled. Kakashi he knew, did not take a single drink the night before. Sighing Naruto rubbed his face with his gloved hand in annoyance. Even he had no idea how in middle earth he could put his trust in this man. "Let's just go before I change my mind about your words, wizard." He turned in his boot and began to walk away from the small village.
"Ah," the wizard whispered. He fell in step with the boy, now man, he once knew very well. “Let us go forward with strength.”

He used to serve alongside his fellow shitennou as Prince Endymioin's guardians before he surrendered his soul to Queen Metallia for power. Not very long after his conversion to the dark side, he was approached by three elite youma, who were initially under Beryl's servitude and desperate to escape that fate, requesting that he allow them to serve him. He was not particularly keen on the idea at first given his preference for solitude, but gave in, deciding there was no harm in having extra minions to do his bidding. It did not take him long to see how efficient and devoted they truly were, and he gradually came to tolerate their company, eventually enjoying it,even showing concern for them following the destruction of the Moon Kingdom. A millennia later, Beryl made the decision to reawaken Metallia from her dormancy in order to continue to wreak havoc on the universe. She recruited a lower ranked shitennou, Jadeite for the task of gathering energy, much to the dismay of Miki, Yukari and Ruby. They felt Nephrite was far more worthy of that post. Despite finding the decision unwise, Nephrite encouraged the henchwomen to remain patient, reminding them there were ways to take advantage of the waiting period. During that time they monitored Jadeite's progress (or lack thereof), and Nephrite familiarized himself with the human culture, wishing to see if it was the same as before he had surrendered his soul, not to mention he had grown quite weary of Beryl's affinities. It was also part of his plan to strategize and perfect his plan for when he became commander. It wasn't long before Beryl's patience with Jadeite's failures came to an end, but using Thetis in his scheme without her permission sealed his fate. This was good news for the trio of youma, who were desperate for their master to get the position he deserved. Nephrite had been rather stoic about the matter, but showed his glee at witnessing Jadeite being cast into Eternal Sleep and reminded himself to succeed so he wouldn't suffer the same fate. He informed Beryl of his capability of gathering more energy from one person than Jadeite was able to collect from a massive crowd. Whilst the witch queen was somewhat intrigued, his arch-rival Zoisite poked fun of him for being ambitious, which earned the sakura a tongue-lashing from the henchwomen. Nephrite merely dismissed the younger shitennou, and Beryl approved his plan. He used the power of the stars to seek his victim, and Ruby provided him with a magical energy draining crystal ball that would enable him to still have the energy captured even if the senshi interfered. She and the other henchwomen were eager to aid him in any way, and although he preferred working alone, he saw how astute, proficient and efficient they were so he assured them they would be granted the opportunity to. He used helpful advice and flattery to ensnare his victims before cursing their items with the magical crest. Due to the crystal ball he received, he was partially successful in his scheme. However, Beryl was concerned about why he had so much trouble defeating the senshi when he did such a commendable job capturing the energy. Zoisite appeared and feigned concern as well, offering to assist. Beryl ordered the star shitennou to work alongside with the sakura shitennou, but Nephrite flatly refused, angering the queen with his defiance and arrogance. Zoisite, however, was thoroughly tickled, as it meant Beryl was losing faith in Nephrite. Just like previous times, the star shitennou succeeded in capturing the energy but failed to defeat the senshi. It was then Nephrite decided the failures were becoming quite bothersome and decided to take matters into his own hands, telling his henchwomen they could assist him, much to their delight. He used the stars to find out Sailor Moon's greatest weakness and was confident he would defeat her, as he was hitting her where it hurt most. He sent love letters signed Tuxedo Mask to all the girls that attended Juuban Junior High, believing he would lure Sailor Moon into his trap that way. Before that night, he crossed paths with Naru, after having met her at a tennis tournament a week prior and having a rather interesting encounter he didn't care to repeat. She asked him if he wrote the love letters, causing him to grow suspicious that she was Sailor Moon. Brushing that thought aside, he told her he would love to spend an evening with her and left. On the following night, Naru came to see Nephrite before time so she could have some alone time with him. She told him she loved him. He thought she was trying to seduce him, and so he captured her energy, rendering her unconscious in the process. He felt maybe she could be of use for future schemes and knew he would need her unharmed for that, so he requested that Ruby take her to the hospital. Soon after,  Sailor Moon showed up and he revealed his true identity before increasing his energies and summoning Leo the Lion.  At that moment, the real Tuxedo Mask arrived, furious about the trickery. He told Moon to escape, but Nephrite called for Leo to attack her. The monstrous lion proceeded its ferocious onslaught, severely wounding the heroine. Tuxedo Mask sprung into action to rescue her, but the trio of youma blocked his way and challenged him. It was an even match, but much to the masked man's horror, the moon senshi was a bloodied mess. Nephrite laughed as Tuxedo Mask took her into an elevator as it was the final part of his trap. He and his youma left in satisfaction, only to discover later from Beryl that somehow Moon managed to survive. However, he was able to escape being punished due to the love energy from Naru. He returned to his mansion, summoning an image of the red head girl. He realized his anger might make her suspicious of him and knew that was not a luxury he could afford if he intended to use her to assist him, so he did a memory wipe of the incident. He was partly grateful to her, but mostly amused that she was foolish enough to fall for his disguise without knowing his true nature. Nephrite later decided it was time he unleash his most powerful battle youma, Castor and Pollux, desperate to dispose of the senshi once and for all. Knowing it would take much energy, he sought out a victim who would be more productive than usual, who turned out to be animator Hiromi Matsuno. After possessing her pencil, he encountered Sailor Mercury standing on the roof of his car. Enraged by her audacity to do such a thing, he simply knocked her off and warned her about his powerful youma before speeding off. Feeling a bit less stressed, he treated himself to a glass of white wine and some gourmet chocolate chip cookies his henchwomen had baked before continuing to monitor Hiromi's energy progress. Once it reached its peak, Nephrite seized it and summoned the Gemini Twins, this time inviting Zoisite to watch the battle. It took everything the trio of youma had to not show their uneasiness, although they understood Nephrite's reasoning. Castor and Pollux proved to be quite formidable with their ability to imitate the attacks of Mars and Mercury. Unfortunately, they got into a heated argument over who would finish the senshi, which nearly gave the girls an opening for a counterattack. Not wanting the twins to die as a result of rivalry, Nephrite ordered them to retreat from battle. This was a subject of ridicule for Zoisite, but Nephrite shrugged it off, knowing he had gathered more than enough energy to revive Queen Metallia. Several weeks later, Beryl announced the arrival of Princess Diamond and mentioned that the princess could be in possession of the legendary ginzuishou, which peaked Nephrite's interest. Although finding the ginzuishou was originally Zoisite's job, Beryl gave it to the star shitennou so he would have a chance to achieve greater success, bringing the sakura shitennou to tears of anger. Oblivious to this, Nephrite hatched his plans to investigate, accepting assistance from his henchwomen again. Once at the party, he noticed Naru standing in a corner alone. He approached her and they  shared a dance together. The star shitennou then led her out on the balcony and flattered her before possessing her with his shadow. He then alerted his trio of youma that it was time to put the scheme into motion. Princess Diamond, possessed, came outside, and  Nephrite ordered her to hand over the crystal. As she prepared to throw it to him, she was stopped by Sailor Moon, only for the possessed princess to push her over the balcony. Luckily for the moon senshi, Tuxedo Mask caught her before she plummeted to her death. Infuriated at Moon's attempt to foil Nephrite's plan, Ruby attacked her, wounding her and retrieving the treasure from the princess. The red head youma then delivered it to the star shitennou, who gleefully accepted it. He got a feeling he should make sure it was the artifact he was sent for and followed his instincts, his feelings of exhilaration fading upon realizing it was the wrong crystal. His henchwomen were furious as well. Trying to suppress the anger, Nephrite prepared to launch an attack at Tuxedo Mask. Before he could, Mars launched her attack at the veteran shitennou. Ruby was able to create a shield to protect her master, redirecting the attack at the senshi of fire. Having managed to hold off two of the senshi, Ruby, along with the twins, turned their assault on Tuxedo Mask, causing him to nearly lose his grip on Sailor Moon and both of them to fall over the balcony. Luna quickly tossed the parasol to Moon, and so she used it to allow her and the masked man to safely glide them to the ground. Nephrite and his trio of youma fled the scene, disgusted at the time wasted. It was then they resolved to quit following Beryl's orders completely. Such defiance proved to be Nephrite's downfall as the witch queen grew extremely livid, Ruby getting a taste of it as she sassed Beryl. Nephrite was unaware of this, trying to concoct a scheme to locate the ginzuishou until interrupted by Zoisite, who "advised" him to teach his minions respect and to step aside. Naturally Nephrite would have none of it, and vowed to make the younger shitennou look like a failure. Zoisite swore revenge and left, whilst Nephrite secretly swore for allowing someone like Zoisite to rattle him. After taking a moment to compose himself, Nephrite tapped into the stars' powers, channeling his energy to create an object that would guide him to the ginziushou, the kurozuishou. The dark colored crystal glowed, revealing an image of Naru, causing the star shitennou to conclude the red head was in possession of the ginzuishou and making him freeze in surprise. He then went to make plans with his henchwomen.   An argument Naru had with her best friend over Masato Sanjouin's true nature left her unable to concentrate on her studying. However, a phone call from Nephrite asking her to meet him at a nearby park cheered her up considerably. She didn't think twice and wasting no time at all, she changed shoes and headed to the park, picking a rose on the way. She was filled with anxiety as she wondered what was up but at the same time she didn't care as she was just happy to hear from him. She gave him the rose she picked, which he gratefully accepted despite his surprise. He feigned regret for making the young girl come out late and was nearly distracted when she expressed her joy at him calling her. Her joy faded when the star shitennou said he was saying goodbye as she figured it was because he was tired of someone as young as she was bothering him. He quickly denied it, explaining he just didn't want her to be hurt, which confused Naru. He went on to say he was being targeted by dangerous people and he liked her too much to see her involved. Naru's confusion turned into worry at this, and she instantly asked what she could do to help. He made brief mention of the ginzuishou, then told her to forget it, as if to show he had doubts whether she knew what he meant. Naru, however, recalled her mom speaking of a rare gem. Thinking that might be it, she ran off to retrieve it, only to be caught by her mother. Unable to think of a decent explanation, she mumbled an apology and ran out of the store. Mrs. Osaka could only stare after her daughter and wonder what her actions were all about. She went out to look for the young teen, bumping into Usagi and Luna. She frantically notified them of the situation, and an infuriated Usagi ran off to find her friend, determined to smooth things over and make her understand.
Naru watched Nephrite intently as he tested the rare gem with his kurozuishou, looking both anxious and pleased with herself. It was all Nephrite could do not to look disgusted because it was not the ginzuishou, but an ordinary jewel. He then gave a confused frown as the kurozuishou began to glow.He saw it was reacting to the girl herself, which peaked his curiosity about her even more. He asked her to come with him, which didn't take much coaxing. He placed an arm around her shoulders to lead her away, oblivious to Yasha spying on them. However, his henchwomen spotted her and were instantly repulsed. Not wanting to give the monster too much thought, the women refocused their attention on Nephrite and Naru. Despite being disdainful of the girl at first, they couldn't help but feel slightly intrigued watching her and their master together. Before Nephrite could lead the red-head too far, they heard an all-too familiar voice yelling for them to stop. Much to Nephrite's displeasure, it was his archenemy Sailor Moon. He warned her not to meddle in his affairs, but she simply ignored him, delivering her speech. Naru grew nervous and also a bit irritated, but did her best to suppress both feelings, not wanting to get into another dispute. Instead she protested she wasn't in danger, but the blonde superheroine gave her the shock of the evening, telling her who the young man really was. Naru had her doubts about whether hearing the same speech again was a coincidence, but she felt too drained to be angry this time. She turned to the man who had her affections and asked him to confirm the blonde was lying. Instead, he fired a burst of star energy, knocking Moon off her feet with great force. He missed with his other variations of the attack. Undaunted, he vowed she would not escape again. Hearing the voices of Mercury and Mars gave the moon senshi much joy, along with a boost to her confidence. Nephrite taunted the girls that he would kill all of them at once and prepared to launch his attack. Mercury used her bubbles to disorient him, and Mars shot her fireball at which point Naru quickly pushed him out of the way. The senshi were positively dumbfounded by such an action, and so was Nephrite. Not only was the girl not frightened away, but she defended him despite his true colors. While he appeared to be distracted, Moon took it as her cue and tossed her tiara at him. The star shitennou cursed loudly as he was frozen with fear and knew he would be at least fatally wounded. Much to his and the senshi's surprise,Naru dashed in front of him and spread her arms out. He chided the teen girl for her recklessness, but she was determined to protect him.Filled with fear, Moon yelled for the tiara to stop, which it did before falling on the ground.Naru gave the senshi a hard look whilst declaring she would not allow Nephrite to be harmed by them. Mercury tried to reason with her and Mars ordered her to step aside, but the red head was defiant. Nephrite marveled at her strong desire to protect him. Mercury questioned Naru about protecting the young man. She admitted with tears streaming down her face that she loved him with all of her heart and she would rather die than see him get hurt or killed. Moon wanted to protest, but was at a loss for words. After a brief period of silence, Nephrite's trio of youma appeared before Naru, bewildering the girl.Ruby introduced all of them, and thanked her for protecting the star shitennou. Naru wasn't entirely sure what to make of the ladies, but felt warm inside by their gratitude. The kurozuishou started glowing again, and Nephrite wondered if it was possibly reacting to Naru's deep love for him. All of a sudden, he heard a shrill voice asking him if he had the ginzuishou. The creature revealed itself before trying to snatch the crystal from him. He knocked her hands away, but dropped it in the process. Naru picked it up, and Yasha lunged at the young girl, causing her to cry out in fear. On impulse, the star shitennou fired a burst of star power at the creature, splitting her mask in two. The senshi of the moon was amazed by this and for Naru, it confirmed that he indeed felt something for her. The emotional episode caused her to faint. Nephrite stared at his hands as if to show his disbelief at protecting a mortal girl. Yasha revealed her true form and unleashed her attack on the dark general, which he evaded. The creature continued to berate him, which prompted an attack from Yukari. In a twist of fate, the brunette youma ordered Moon to deliver the final blow. Wasting very little time, the moon senshi did as she was told, all the while thinking how odd it was for a Dark Kingdom agent to fight on her side. Nephrite wrote down his contact info on a small piece of paper, placing it and the rare gem into an unconscious Naru's hand before turning to leave. Sailor Moon thanked him for saving Naru's life, and he dismissed it, indicating it may never happen again. He requested Ruby to escort the young girl home before taking his leave. The twin youma left as well, whilst Ruby carried out her master's orders. During the early hours in the morning, Nephrite returned to Naru's room. Before he could get too distracted by how beautiful he thought she looked while asleep, his kurozuishou started glowing again. It was still a mystery since he never came to a proper conclusion. He wondered if maybe the ginzuishou was inside her body. To test this theory, he allowed his kurozuishou to hover over the girl's body. It projected a beam of energy, providing a transparent view. However, there was no gem resembling the ginzuishou. Nephrite was perplexed at first, but his mind replayed the encounter with Naru just hours prior. The kurozuishou reacted whenever her love for him was shown. That was when he got his answer. It did little to help soothe his complicated feelings about why the kurozuishou had not done its job, and what he would do about this revelation. Late the next night, Nephrite was still trying to ponder the previous day's events and what course of action he should take about his most recent discovery. He no longer had any use for the kurozuishou, but that was only one of several dilemmas he was faced with. Once again, his mind drifted to Naru, her smile and the deep love she had for him, despite seeing his true colors. All of that made his heart feel warm inside, which he found ludicrous. His musings were interrupted by Ruby appearing before him to find out about his next move as well as discuss what she and the twins had been thinking. She asked him how he felt about the girl and he admitted he had feelings for her. Try as he may to deny it in the past, he couldn't any longer. The cherry-haired youma also told the star shitennou he should leave the Dark Kingdom, at which he was taken aback, but she reasoned with him reminding him how fond he was of certain aspects of planet Earth. He couldn't deny that, either, and conceded he would give her advice some thought. She warned him to be careful, which he acknowledged. Nephrite recalled how vehement the moon senshi was when she warned Naru about him, and found it odd unless she knew the red-head. And he knew if he did end up leaving the Dark Kingdom, he would need to know of Moon's identity so he could see her whenever he wished. He believed who better to get the information from than Naru, and disappeared from the mansion. Unbeknownst to him, Zoisite was there and heard his musings about the kurozuishou, as well as his conversation with Ruby, and decided he would keep a close eye on the elder general. Ruby caught a glimpse of the sakura shitennou just before he left, and got a bad taste in her mouth, so she decided to go to keep watch on him. Nephrite appeared in Naru's room, spending a few minutes watching her sleep. He was moved by how peaceful she looked. To avoid getting too distracted, he hid behind the curtain, which roused the young girl from her sleep. She was surprised but also quite happy to see him. He told her his real name and how much he regretted deceiving her for so long. She assured him he was forgiven, and he proceeded to tell her how she impacted his life, not to mention that of his chief henchwomen. Naru felt her heart melting by this, and she asked Nephrite to come closer, for she also had something to tell him. He obliged by sitting next to her, having a hunch about what the red head wished to say.She told him for the second time she loved him, adding that she had since the moment they met. He told her he loved her too, and it took everything in her not to cry tears of happiness. He then asked her if she knew where to find Sailor Moon, for he wished to fight alongside her. The red-head tearfully told him she didn't, since the heroine only showed up when there was trouble. Nephrite wiped her tears away and told her to contact him when she found out. He gave her a peck on her cheek before exiting the bedroom. However, he made sure to remain nearby. He was curious to see the action she intended to take, given the tenacity she possessed. Meanwhile, Zoisite, along with three plant youma were spying on the veteran shitennou. While he made no mention of the ginzuishou, the fact that he cared deeply for a human gave them another reason to plot his demise. The plant sister known as Grape wanted to kill him right away, but Zoisite told her not to be hasty, for Nephrite was a fierce warrior and that blindly rushing into battle would only get themselves hurt or even killed. He suggested kidnapping Naru and setting a trap. Suzuran, who had only been listening, asked whether it involved Nephrite's henchwomen, too, and Zoisite said to leave them be for a bit. The Plant Sisters left to set the nefarious plan into motion, Zoisite smirking to himself. Naru was wide awake, both from Nephrite's confession and the situation he was in. She wracked her brain for a way to help him, then remembered the conversation she had with Usagi that afternoon and how her best friend had sounded slightly more supportive. She got the phone and dialed the blonde's number, feeling guilty for calling so late, not to mention worried that no one would be awake.A wave of relief washed over her when Mrs. Tsukino answered and put her on hold. Usagi came to the phone, albeit groggy, and Naru told her what occurred during Nephrite's visit, breaking down in tears at how useless she felt. Although hidden, Nephrite listened to the entire conversation, smiling to himself when Naru hung up, for he had gotten his answer. He went by the street light and made himself invisible, keeping watch for the young girl. He was pretty sure she would not deny Naru assistance, and so therefore, she would be playing into his hands in the process. Using his magic, he warped the road so that it would appear crooked and watched as his nemesis struggled. His lips curled into a smile when she transformed, and he materialized, making the road normal again. He thanked the moon heroine for revealing her identity, coercing her to admit it when she squirmed. It came as no surprise to him, but he secretly hoped she would keep it together for once, so he decided to test her. The fact that she was such a stammering mess had not helped matters, until she managed to prick his conscience, which sounded a lot like Naru. He assured Moon her secret was safe with him, to which their first civil conversation ensued. There was still a bit of tension in the air, however, so the star shitennou considered it a good thing when his trio of youma appeared. The relief faded when Ruby mentioned Zoisite and his youma were up to no good. Her warning was cut off by Naru crying out for help and Nephrite caught on to what the red head youma was trying to tell him. He told Moon they would meet again before disappearing with his trio of henchwomen. As quick as Nephrite and his trio of youma were, Naru's kidnapper was quicker because when they got to the room, it was empty, save for a small piece of paper on the bed. Nephrite picked it up to read. The writer of it demanded for him to hand over his kurozuishou if he wanted Naru's life to be spared. For a moment he burned with anger at Zoisite's level of insolence, then an image of Naru laughing and running towards him popped into his head.He crumpled the note in his hand, engulfing it in flames. Miki asked him about it and when Nephrite told her, she and the other two youma were just as enraged. Not wanting to be useless in such a detrimental situation, Yukari suggested she and the other two young women come with Nephrite just in case he was walking into a trap. The star shitennou gave them the green light on the condition that they remained hidden. The youma trio agreed, as they had heard when Suzuran ask whether to kill them too. They waited as Nephrite ordered the kurozuishou to show him Naru's whereabouts, which it did instantaneously. According to the black crystal, she was at an abandoned nightclub called Rag Time. They all teleported to the site together, the trio of youma concealing themselves as Nephrite ascended the stairs. When he was about halfway down, he saw the Plant Sisters watching him intently. He gave them a brief stare of death and then averted his eyes toward Naru, who was bound to an overturned table. The star shitennou more or less expected such a set up, but it still infuriated him all the same. Naru cried out a warning to look out, and the next thing he knew, a barrage of small grenades were headed his way. He quickly avoided the onslaught, and while Suzuran's sonic waves did little to faze him, they threw him off, causing him to land awkwardly and nearly stumble. Even with that minor setback, the sisters were simply no match for the shitennou in terms of strength and even speed. He conjured his star-sword, reducing two of the plant creatures to ribbons. Facing off against Grape was a bit more challenging, but he dodged her vine arm with ease. He chopped it off and bisected her for the final blow.  Knowing the destruction of the sisters wouldn't be enough for his rival shitennou to leave him be, he pulled out his kurozuishou and crushed it in his gloved hand, letting the shards litter the ground. He wandered over to the young girl, exchanged a loving gaze with her and used the sword to slice the ropes that ensnared her. He then picked her up and carried her out, taking her back home. Not long after he gently rested the red head down, she embraced him and thanked him for rescuing her. Nephrite told her how much he wanted to make up for having lied so much to her in the past, and she embraced him again, telling him he already had, as she got the feeling he had a good heart deep down. For a moment, he seemed a bit perplexed by her words and her affection towards him. Naru remembered back at the battle with the Plant Sisters, Nephrite appeared to have hurt his ankle. She was sure of it when she noticed him limping slightly while bringing her home. She inquired whether he felt any pain, and he confirmed that he was, knowing she wouldn't buy it if he told her otherwise. As soon as he sat on the young teen's bed, she had him remove his boot, which he did without question. She gave him a gentle massage and tore a piece of cloth from her pajama to wrap the ankle. He thanked her, retrieved the boot and gingerly stood up, deciding the soreness was nothing he couldn't handle. He gave Naru a quick hug before disappearing from the room. After giving Ruby instructions to watch over Naru, Nephrite left with the twins. Ruby took Naru to the mansion to visit with Nephrite the next day as the red head was concerned that the ankle injury was worse than she was led to believe, and bothered that he got it on her account. He considered her visit to be a pleasant surprise, but it pained him to see her in emotional distress. She voiced her concerns to him and he reassured her that she wasn't at fault. Feeling a sense of relief, Naru mentioned to the reformed star shitennou how it had always been a dream of hers to share a chocolate parfait with him. He promised they could make it happen, at which her eyes brightened. This would be the beginning of their courtship until the young girl was old enough for a long term committed relationship. In regards to aiding the senshi, he opted to keep a low profile, assisting them in an inconspicuous manner.

Uganda Safari
Kidepo Valley National Park
About
The vast, semi arid plains of Uganda’s north east are home to one of the country’s real treasures: Kidepo National Park.  Indeed part of the park’s appeal is its remoteness guaranteeing that the visitor won’t be fighting off mini buses in an attempt to see wildlife. Gazetted in 1962, Kidepo Valley National Park is truly one of Uganda’s most spectacular parks, offering some of the wildest and most magnificent scenery to be found in East Africa, relatively un-spoilt by development.
The Kidepo Basin lies in a mountainous country side at an altitude of between 900 and 1200 meters and in encircled by wooded hills. It is dominated by 2750 meter Mount Morongole on its eastern flank and by the forested Lotuke in Sudan with peaks rising to more than 2700 meters.
The park covering 1,442 sq.kms is in the far north eastern horn of the country and it borders South Sudan and near Kenya.  This part of the country is generally referred to as Karamoja district where the famous Karimojong pastoralists graze their cattle across the plains.
Getting there
The ideal way to Apoka where the park headquarters and rest camp are located, is by air charter although the accessing the park by road is also possible though gruesome. Apoka is 504 kilometers from Kampala, 162 kilometers from Kitgum, and 255 kilometers from Moroto.
When to go
The best time to visit kidepo is during the dry season between December and early April. During the Kidepo rainy season from April to September travel is not easy and game is difficult to locate because of long grass.
Where to stay
The growth of the tourism sector in Uganda has led to the establishment of some luxurious and budget accommodation facilities in Kidepo Valley National Park. Facilities like Apoka Safari Lodge and Nga'Moru wilderness camp offer accommodation services within the park.
Sight Seeing
From Mbale head out of town on the Kumi road. You can take a couple of side trips along the this road to see the rock painting at Kakoro and Nyero . But to drive to Kidepo, turn right a few kilometers of town on the main gravel road heading north. After the turnoff, you pass through the village of Sironko and soon afterwards the turnoff to Sipi. After about 50 kilometers you come to the village of Chepsikunya. Shortly after this the road passes through the lower part of the Pian-Upe Game Reserve one of the three large adjoining reserves in Uganda’s north east . The 2314 sq.km of rolling plains of black cotton soil run from the river in the south of Napak on the boundary of Bokora Game Reserve in the north.  The area which includes Pian-Upe, Matheniko and Bokora reserves is known as the Bokora corridor.  From Chepsikunya village, its about 140 kilometers before the Moroto turn off which is 10 kilometers east of the Main road. There is an airstrip there as well as petrol, police, a hospital and the Mount Moroto hotel making it a good place to break your journey.
Back on the main road at the Moroto turn off head north once again.  After about 30 kilometers you pass through Lokichar, and shortly thereafter the road travels directly across the corridor linking the Matheniko Game Reserve and the Bokora Game Reserve. The Matheniko to the right of the road covers about 1,605 sq.kms but there is not much game left. To the left of the road is the tip of the huge Bokora Game Reserve a large dry flat plain where several species of antelopes still roam.
From Lokichar its about 55 kilometers to the town of Kotido, where there is a police station, and another 41 kilometers before the main road takes a sharp bend to the west.  Shortly after this bend you come to the village of Koputh where you turn right to continue north on the main gravel road. After about 24 kilometers you pass through the town of Kaabong and then 69 kilometers later you eventually reach your destination: Apoka.
The park consists of two shallow valley systems with rugged, dry, mountain terrain. The area’s remarkable variation in altitude has created a profusion of habits within the park including montane forests, grassy plains, open tree savannah, dry thorn bush, thick woodlands; borassus palm forest, and Koppies.
During the six dry months of the year in Kidepo, wildlife is attracted to water sources that remain in Narus Valley in the South West of the park. There is great diversity of Wildlife: 80 species more than in any other park in Uganda.
You can expect to see Zebra’s, large herds of elephants, elands, lesser kudu and buffaloes. Visitors can get a good look at this bountiful wildlife and bird life from several game viewing loops in the Narus Valley where most of the game is concentrated.
In addition the park nature exhibit at the Apoka headquarters is open to visitors and contains Specimens of Lions skins, giraffe skulls, butterflies, scorpions and photographs of the rare albino buffalo.
If you’re interested in a taste of the local life a visit to the local Manyattas (Karimojong homesteads) can be arranged for up close experience of see the traditional clothing, stools, spears, headdresses, bows, arrows, knives and jewellery.
