aurora suffers from The Man Sick, she gets a small cough and deems herself bedridden, a lot of it is to get the other ghouls to pity her enough for a ghoul pile in bed with movies and snacks and of course phantom plays along with her, cumulus offers to make a big batch of auroras favorite soup and mount makes her tea. everyone gets their favorite snacks and usually after a couple nights of ghoul piles either everyone's sick or aurora magically feels all better again

random thought I have no idea what to do with so i'm sharing on tumblr.

The goddess of peace and god of war are siblings. as far as scholars can understand depending on the time the siblings would trade their titles- why is unknown but the priesthood theorized that the siblings represent a balanced world, where peace and war are more calm and conflict. When something happens to one sibling, upsetting the balance, the other takes their place to reinstate the balance. Something many fell is a infinite loop. When the goddess is not herself and bares the title of war goddess, it is a war of necessity. blood is spilled in the name of loved ones back home, scared and in hiding. Mercy is granted on every soul and all understand that this war was not wanted, this war was unforeseen, but the goddess will see it though. she will see it though to the end when she may lay down her shield and kneel in the flower fields she misses. When the god is not himself and bares the title of peace god, it is a bitter peace. blood, long dried, stains his hands as he sits in the shade of a scorched tree. it still lives but scarred, just like him. the wind blows the smoke away to reveal grey skies that carry calming rains. but no matter how hard it pours, it can not drown out the screams, it can not wash away the blood. all it does is cool the embers that still burn in his heart. He sits and waits for the rain, seeks it out, demands it- it is all he wanted and all he fought for, for the rain will water his sister's fields which lay tired at his feet.

In their normal states, the god of war rages with furry- its a typical war, one won though blood shed. hundreds die in the name of revenge, in the name of a king who sits miles away, in the name of self righteous satisfaction. Fields burn, thunder roars, and the wind carries the cries of innocents lost. meanwhile the goddess of peace rarely raises her head, content to sit and watch flowers grow. its a peace full of warmth and safety. no harm comes to the flowers, only life. the wind carries laughter and joy.

So I'm up to date on Honkai: Star Rail

And I have thoughts I want to get out. Beware ye spoilers.

I want Acheron to kill Aventurine and then myself. That out of the way, let's get real.

The new quest started well, enjoyed the stint with Acheron and just how... Yeah it is. The red text is such a fun touch to unsettle the players and damn if it didn't work for me.

The hotel is so good aesthetically, art deco and a jazzy atmosphere, quite fitting for the "Better times" themeing. Absolutely hate interacting with Aventurine. Dudes a cunt, and I feel no remorse saying that.

Oh Firefly, the ever cute Firefly, how fun it is to meet a stowaway who tries so hard not to drag us into problems only for us to do it anyways. Also Sparkle is way different than expected. I get that being unpredictable is needed for a Fool but the contrast is... Wrong? I'm not sure how to explain it. Or how to explain how she can manipulate the dreams like that.

Black Swan is such a mom. Not in a MILF way (at least for me) just in a matronly way. Fuli continues to be my favorite Aeon. More happens with Acheron too, very fun how she is (or at least seems to be) bad with directions. Such a mysterious character, yet never seems at odds with the Namelss, which is neat considering how everyone is on edge around them.

And we finally learn how HSR is going to be. It's a Honkai game, and we know what that means. I'm so angry we get the lightcone afterwards, especially with Black Swan's remarks on lightcones. Also Acheron being an emanator is a rather unsurprising twist imo. My money is on Ix, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Also Sunday is so handsome?? Illegal, someone lock him away so we can not be distracted by him.

But the nameless omnic in Ramattra's short story says: "Your Model bossed us around during the Crisis. Sent us to die before we even had a thought in our heads."

It seems to imply omnics were not sentient yet during the crisis?

This line quoted is referring to how R-0007s, aka Ravagers, aka Ramattra's model type, where used to lead omnics into war. With context on how Namelss is a customized omnic made to be a companion for children, I am guessing this also refers to omnics made before Omnica corp/Omniums were initially shut down, too. I am guessing the nameless omnic was not produced by Anubis during the Omnic crisis, but who knows--maybe Anubis made sleeper agents that targeted human sectors of life.

Even that aside, with how everything went down, and with portrayals like how Bastion is conflicted with Red-Anubis-Programming vs Blue-Aurora-Sentience, it seems that omnic sentience came after the omnic crisis? There is definitely "base programming" that sentient omnics can fight against. Think of the base programming as instinct. Especially for the Anubis created drones that later gained sentience: Bastion, Ramattra. Bastion fought against it and chose peace. Ramattra seems to be defaulting to it and is choosing violence. Also, Anubis is not an omnic, from what I can tell? I may be wrong but I think it's just a very advanced ai, dubbed "god ai" because of the overwhelming reach Anubis is capable of. The reason Athena is an omnic is because her prototype/creation was directly created by Mina Liao. Anubis seemingly doesn't have a creator listed by name from what i could find... maybe Anubis was a runaway ai? During the Omnic crisis Anubis also co-opted non-omnic tech like the Titan crawlers--so the Anubis god ai is capable of incorporating all kinds of tech regardless of brand, not just omnic brand, so it seems that Anubis may very well not be connected to The Awakening. Or... maybe it is? (If anyone has hard canon placements of events do tell!) imo tho, it seems to make more sense that the Omnic crisis happened first, and my guess by reading between the lines is that Aurora sacrificed herself in hopes of giving Omnics sentience to wake them up out of the Anubis-controlled state. This gives the fact that she didn't know if it would work more of an explanation and weight--if it was pre-crisis it seems a little less motivated for her to sacrifice herself? The way sentient omnics describe their pre-sentience seems to be them running on vague memories before they had personal thoughts, like a dream Zenyatta seems to describe it as. Circling back now, the nameless omnic says that line about Ramattra, upset that Ravagers sent omnics to die even though neither party had control over their actions (thanks to Anubis). The nameless omnic had a big concern about Ram's motivations of controlling others. Control seems to be base programming for R-7000s. "I chose it to honor the first of my kind, and chose it to remember my mistakes," is what Ramattra answered in response to Namless asking what his name means. Note that Ramattra is not only a name that possibly has ties to the Sanskrit name Raamatr (dark defender) like the wiki said, but also RAM vs ROM. RAM is the data that can be read, edited, deleted. ROM is permanent data that can only be read. ROM is the base Anubis coding. RAM is what builds a unique personality in a robot, as seen in Aurora (learning about the world) and Orisa (how her personality grew from her experiences). I haven't read the Sojourn book either, or any Overwatch long book, so there may have been details there that distinctly say when Aurora sacrificed herself. (If anyone knows, please do tell! I am not comfortable supporting Blizzard financially, so I won't be buying the books.) From lore I have been able to peruse, Aurora's creation was extremely controversial, bans were put into place on further ai, and it seems Aurora's travels were not inherently welcomed by the world, only so in smaller or isolated religious communities, where Auora visited to find purpose.

Finally finished Namelss' reference sheet!

So here is the bastard, some infos about them:

They were born on the 1st of May 1328 (using my univers' calendar) and they first died on the day of their 19th birthday. They were then brought back to life by someone named Lys in april 1348. A few years later, in 1350, after Lys had abandoned the lab, they were found by a traveler named Lorcan who claimed to have been abled to find them only because he had seen them in a dream. They then started traveling together and looking for Lys in hope of finding answers.

In order to bring them back to life, Lys replaced most of their internal organs with dried blue flowers (you know science). As a result, their body is instable and they die and come back to life on a regular basis. They also don't really remenber anything before theit first death. Lorcan often describe them has having enough knowledge to pass as a human but not enough to pass as an individual.

The duo later met Ezechiel and Théo and then Lilitia and Rafael. And they are now all traveling together in a post-apocalyptic world (theey are fine I swear)
