Mrs. Thomas McKessy, of Limerick, Ireland, upon her arrival in New York on the SS Aurania, March 16, 1926. She was joining her husband, who had come over the previous September, with 10 of her 21 children. Pictured (L-R) are Johanna, John, Dennis, Lizzie, Katherine, Bridget, Eugene, Donald, Ita, and Mrs. McKessy, holding Cecilia the youngest in her arms. Of her 21 children, 4 were already in New York, 10 had just arrived, 5 had died and two were married and living in Ireland.

SPACEMAS DAY 16 ✨🪐🌎☄️☀️🌕

This featured wide-angle mosaic was taken over the steppe golden fields in Mértola, Portugal in 2020. From such a dark location, an immediately-evident breathtaking glow arched over the night sky: the central band of the Milky Way galaxy. But this sky had much more. Thin clouds crossed the sky like golden ribbons. The planet Mars appeared on the far left, while Saturn and Jupiter were also simultaneously visible. However on the opposite side of the sky, here seen on the far right. Near the top of the image the bright star Vega can be found, while the far-distant and faint Andromeda Galaxy can be seen toward the left, just below Milky Way's arch.

Pierre finds him huddled by the walk-in freezer, head between his knees in some kind of attempt to work through whatever had just happened at the main prep island that's covered almost entirely with plates of food--with the exception of the back left corner, the stainless steel exposed from the loss of a few now-broken dishes, which lie as pale, shattered decoration against bright smears of color that were meals a few beats earlier.

He knows better than to chalk this up to the therapy he knows Charles is trying to attend, and he knows better than to try channeling those insane American chefs he'd spent three years of his life working with to try and snap him out of this...whatever it is.

"Calamar," Pierre starts softly, crouching so that he's eye level with his best friend; the sound of his breath rattling in his chest as he tries to re-center himself is loud in Pierre's ears, and he figures that's probably why his best friend picked here to have his breakdown--the buzz of the refrigerator is the only thing you can hear from back where the rest of the staff are waiting.

Charles shakes his head once, then takes another breath--bigger, one that moves his shoulders up and down--before opening his mouth: "When I cook..." he trails off for a moment, like he's forgotten what he'd wanted to say in the first place, before finally looking up into Pierre's face, "when we cook, it has to be unforgettable, Pierrot."

You are already unforgettable, is what Pierre wants to say--instead, he exhales softly and rests his hand on Charles' kneecap, squeezing it with affection before he answers the way he's meant to: "it will be, Charlo, it will be."

After 4 years of actively trying to figure out what is going on with my uterus. 4 different primary care doctors. 3 different OBGYN’s. Countless internal ultrasounds.

We have an official PCOS diagnosis and plan to fix it, that does not involve birth control (because before anything else I am a migraine sufferer first).

All of this to say, if you’re having these problems just keep searching until you find a doctor who will listen to you. Don’t be afraid to question them.

Marinette Cheng

… is quite the busybody, jumping at any chance to experiment and make new things. Though his eagerness to create has gotten him recognized for their talents, it also leads to many unfinished (or destructive) products.

Normally you’d find him tinkering away at her latest invention, but as of a recent it seems that her creative spirit has died down. No one knows why.

( And at school, you’d typically find them in the laboratory, but just like her recent willingness to create, his visits have dwindled. )

Equally important additions:

1. Gifted Kid Burnout, Baby!! (That’s possibly triggered by seeing your mentor get snatched into the shadow realm. Who knows? Marinette sure doesn’t).

2. Methinks that most of the headcanons from my old art-dump still applies here (though I have to double-check to be sure).

3. Mar’s inventions tend to (ironically) end in disaster.. but it’s the ingenuity that counts, right?

4. Yes, the suit design was inspired by Spider-Man.

5. I could spew more about Mar’s character but yknow. Mar tends to be a lone wolf in situations, not that they do it consciously! But it’s more like they’ve gotten used to having to solve problems on their own due to the people (and adults) that are in her life. While this is a great(ish) thing because of her classmates dependency on him, it also leads to Chat Noir feeling very frustrated in the midst of battle when Spots run off to do their own plan without consulting the other hero on it.

6. Mar’s creative soul is the one thing that gets her in trouble most of the time! He learns to not be afraid to step over boundaries, but that unwillingness to back down when they should can be terrible in a lot of situations. (Though, beware because Marinette’s personality may be due to change. I’m still figuring out how I want it to be).

7. Spots’/Red’s backpack (which I now realize is hardly visible) has wings giving Red the ability to fly. Spots’ backpack can also be taken apart and turn into almost any invention they want, having its only disadvantage being that they no longer have a means of transportation. The Fanny pack? I just thought it was funny… plus I think they would store candy and water in there to give to any shaken kids (or to anyone who needs it).

8. Yeah, Marinette wears a compression shirt under their hoodie + Carries around headphones in their bag bc overstimulation. (ADHD/Autism as always).
