hacking adobe fonts on mac!!
hello friends, i have finally got off my metaphorical ass and figured this out.
the filepath
is Macintosh HD > Users > [your username] > Library > Application Support > Adobe > CoreSync > plugins > livetype , which contains
assorted folders called .? where ? is a one-letter character, each of which has OTF (OpenType Font) files. sometimes one typeface’s files are spread across multiple such folders
.c which has an .xml file called entitlements, which has information about which numbers (in the OTF filenames) refer to which fonts. this saved me a lot of time. (xml files can be opened with any browser. search (Cmd + F) for the typeface name to find the files you need)
copy the required files to some other folder outside program folders (i.e. outside Library, i think). rename the files by removing the . (the first character). you can rename the rest of the filename too, to reflect what typeface it actually is
be informed of the consequences of violating the Adobe Fonts license/terms of use if you’re caught
[ID: A screenshot of a comment by user Test Screen Name on Adobe Community dated Feb 25, 2020. It reads: Gooner444, a late reply, but better late than never. Your Adobe Fonts license covers your personal use as long as you have an active Creative Cloud subscription on the same computer. The license will forbid copying to another computer, and embedding in software. Conversion may or may not be allowed, but any converted file is subject to the same license. Licensing fonts for use in apps or games is a very different thing. There may be hundreds or (you hope) millions of users. You do NOT want to get a bill from Adobe for each user, so you need to source fonts which offer licenses for use in this way. Most fonts do not offer any such license. (Yes, it really does happen that if a software license is breached in this way, a bill might be calculated for each user; it has cost companies millions).]
how to view hidden folders
Cmd + Shift + . toggles hidden folders on and off
how to get a file or folder path
Ctrl + click the folder (or right-click), hold down Option, and click on “Copy [folder] as Pathname” or
Ctrl + click (or right-click), click on “Get Info”, and copy the text that follows “Where” (third option under “General”)
how to type in a folder path
Shift + Cmd + G, or Finder’s top menu > Go > Go to Folder...

MacAddict April 1998
The system-reskinning extension Kaleidoscope and other enhancements for the Macintosh operating system of the time were featured in this issue. Microsoft’s latest Office received positive coverage as well; I did wind up being given it for my computer. (I also had Kaleidoscope installed and registered, although in retrospect I didn’t make much use of its more fanciful schemes, much less search many more out.)

Hi there!
I'm looking for someone...or multiple someones if more than one person is interested...to role play either as Castle or Beckett (Caskett) from the TV show Castle (though there are a couple other fandoms I'll list at the bottom I'm willing to play). I know it's a show that has been off the air for years, but I also know there are still active fans out there, and I'm hoping to find at least one who is interested. I used to role-play as them years ago when the show was in it's original run, but haven't done so for years. I am happy to write as either Castle or as Beckett, and have experience with both.
I'm looking for someone who is 21+, who is a good writer and can write in paragraph role plays. It doesn't have to be a novel, but 2 or 3+ paragraphs are so much easier to respond to than a simple one liner. I'm not going to give you a one line response, so I expect the same from you.
You should also be a fan of the couple together...I want to write interesting scenarios, "what if" and "fix-it" scenarios based off episodes sometimes, and I don't particularly enjoy writing casework, so the relationship will be at the forefront most of the time. Also, you have to understand that you cannot take control of my character...if you are playing Castle, then you can only write dialogue and actions for Castle, not Beckett, and vice versa.
I write the characters the same way I write fanfiction, so if you want to see a sample of my writing skills, DM my blog or reply (or like) to this message, and I'll point you in the direction of my work.
As much as I enjoy writing fanfiction, it really is so much fun to bounce the dialogue and actions off another fantastic writer, so I'm really hoping there is at least one person here who still has enough love for this fandom to write with me.
The ships I am willing to write are:
Castle/Beckett (Castle...this is my favorite and who I really, REALLY wanna write!)
Jean Grey/Wolverine (X-Men films...the Famke Janssen/Hugh Jackman characters)
Derek/Meredith (Grey's Anatomy)
House/Cuddy (House)
Mulder/Scully (X-Files)
Harm/Mac (JAG)
Piper/Leo (Charmed)
