I've lost count how many times this was played when I was growing up, though one thing I never understood was the adult relationships yet I aboustely understood Bill Nighy's character and to this day, still love the rockstar he plays. Oh boy, this isn't as good as I remember it. No wonder I still don't understand adult relationships. I grew up watching this. 🤦‍♀️ The office romance, the cheating, the creeping on the bride, the trying to be what she wants, the mourning his wife, the lost in translation lover and the stand ins. Glad the only thing I took away from this as a kid is "don't buy drugs...become a musician and they give it too you for free." Il film del 2003 Love Actually lo ricordavo (evidentemente male) come una commedia leggera e romantica. Ho fatto l'errore di riguardarlo e, OMG, se mi sbagliavo! Il film è pieno di battute di pessimo gusto e di body shaming, le storie dei personaggi sono offensive, le figure femminili stereotipate e sottomesse. Ma la cosa più allucinante è che non me ne fossi accorta già 20 anni fa quando lo vidi per la prima volta. TRASCRIZIONE [ENG translation below] Ci sono dei film che invecchiano bene, è possibile riguardarli a distanza di cinque, dieci, venti, 30 anni, e funzionano sempre benissimo. Io, non tantissimo tempo fa ho rivisto per l'ennesima volta Jesus Christ Superstar, che è una delle mie commedie musicali preferite, e per me funziona sempre. Ieri ho commesso l'errore di riguardare il film, che è una specie di classicodel periodo natalizio che il titolo inglese penso che sia uguale anche in italiano 'Love Actually'. Avrei preferito non guardarlo perché la prima volta che lo vidi quando uscì, non lo vidi al cinema, non andai a vederlo al cinema, ma probabilmente lo presi in affitto quando ancora c'erano i posti dove si andavano ad affittare i film. Comunque, avevo un ricordo abbastanza positivo di Love Actually, non dico che fosse il mio film preferito, però ricordavo di averlo visto e ricordavo che mi aveva lasciato una bella sensazione. Quindi, ieri notte, avevo del tempo davanti a me e ho detto ma sì, dai, guardiamoci questa commedia romantica che ci sta pure col periodo prenatalizio. Mai l'avessi fatto! Diciamo che mi sono costretta a guardarlo fino alla fine per vedere fino a che punto arrivava. È pieno di battute di pessimo gusto e di body shaming, quindi, questa qua è grassa, ma visto quanto è grassa questa qua, cose veramente allucinanti. Ma io ero lì che guardavo, e la cosa più allucinante, è che non riuscivo a capire come tutte queste battutacce, che sono solo una parte delle cose negative del film, poi ce ne sono anche altre, come non me ne fossi accorta nel 2003, quando lo vidi per la prima volta, mi sono veramente scioccata. Ma veramente eravamo così? Non ci rendevamo conto di quanto fossero inopportune, inappropriate, offensive tutte queste battute! Poi vabbè, anche le storie dei diversi personaggi, non mi ricordo quante siano le coppie, tutte eterosessuali, naturalmente, quanto fossero brutte. Il tipo che si innamora della moglie, del migliore amico, si sono appena sposati, va dietro le spalle dell'amico, dopo che si sono sposati dice, Ah, ma sei il mio amore... Ma stiamo scherzando? Cioè, siamo adulti? Oppure, tutte le figure femminili sono degli organi sessuali che camminano perché non hanno nessun tipo di conversazione se non parlando degli uomini e dei loro amori, accettano tutto quello che i mariti, i compagni fanno senza mettere niente in discussione. I maschi ci fanno una pessima figura. È un filmaccio, ma è un film terribile. È un film veramente... E ripeto, sono rimasta scioccata come io non me ne fossi accorta nel 2003. Aiuto! Ma ero un mostro, ero un mostro. Vabbè, comunque è un filmaccio, non guardatelo se non per criticarlo. Let's say I forced myself to watch it to the end to see how far it went. It's full of bad jokes and body shaming, so, this one is fat, have you seen how fat this one is, really hallucinating stuff. But I was there watching, and the most hallucinating thing is that I couldn't understand how all these bad jokes, which are just a part of the negative things in the movie, then there are others as well, like I didn't notice in 2003, when I first saw it, I was really shocked. But were we really like that? We didn't realise how inappropriate, improper, and offensive all these jokes were! Then whatever, even the stories of the different characters, I can't remember how many couples, all heterosexual, of course, how bad they were. The guy who falls in love with the wife, the best friend's wife, they just got married, he goes behind the friend's back after they get married he says, Ah, but you are my love... Are you kidding me? That is, are we adults? Or, all female figures are walking sex organs because they do not have any kind of conversation except talking about men and their loves, they accept everything that husbands, and partners do without questioning anything. Males come out very bad It is a bad movie, but it is a terrible movie. It is truly a film... And I repeat, I was shocked as I didn't notice in 2003. Help! But I was a monster, I was a monster. Whatever, it's a bad movie anyway, so don't watch it except to criticise it.
