Tales From A Small Island:  Lies, damned lies, and statistics.

The lovely islanders of Britain are a simple people.

They love their new leader, Boris, The Fat Controller, Johnson.

But he has been made to look a fool.

What is worse he has been made to look an uncaring fool.

He told Parliament the life expectancy gap between rich and poor was closing.

It is in fact widening.

Poor women on the island can expect to die earlier than before.

They can also expect to die 7 years sooner than the Fat Controllers rich female friends.

Poor male islanders  can expect to die almost 10 years earlier than the rich male friends of the Fat Controller.

The nasty Whitehall mandarins misled the Prime Minister over these statistics.

They issued complicated erroneous briefing papers to the PM.

We all know he would never knowingly lie to the lovely islanders.

No wonder his good  friend Dom Rasputin Cummings wants to get rid of all the nasty civil servants.

Luckily for the Islanders the Fat Controller has a simple plan to make things better.

First, he is not letting any more poor people onto the island.

This will cut the overall  death rate of poor people.

Second, many of these premature deaths are in the North.

Once the Fat Controller has his new train set up and running everyone knows the North will become  richer.

Rich people live longer.

Problem solved.
