Personally I think Jedediah actually preformed necromancy on Sydney, and succeeded, Syd’s maybe not as bright as he should be, but he is alive,,,, but it also kinda warped existence and destroyed reality as they knew it,,, and no one remembers because the government (side note: the original government collapsed so a bunch of sketchy people swooped in and rules the world now) deleted everyones memories, but since Sydney basically caused the change,,, or is the change or whatever, he sometimes gets glimpses of the past

Jedidiah seems to not be affected by magic at all, not by the elephant mans hypnotic magic (Sydney’s effect or otherwise), he clearly remembers the time Before since he acts like an actual person would when it comes to the anomalies and he can read Syd’s handwriting,,, he also weirdly seems to know stuff no one else knows, like how he knew Britain wasn’t an island anymore, not even the agent new that. Maybe that’s what he does when he’s away all the time, like exploring and stuff, idk (besides trying to fix the world and avoid Syd obv)
