Wibberly siblings middle name headcanons;

Katherine Elizabeth Wibberly: a very regal middle name for a very cool character, but also a case of projection because she’s my favorite character and Elizabeth is my mom’s middle name. It’s my headcanon so I get to make the rules 😌

Michael John Wibberly: his middle name honors the author of TBOB. In universe I imagine Richard considered making Michael’s middle name Killick before Clare vetoed that emphatically, so they settled on John instead.

Emma Gabriela Wibberly: in universe I like to think Richard and Clare were told about Gabriel and how he protected their kids and bonded especially with their youngest and then gave Emma her middle name in honor of that bond. But I also just want Emma to share her name with her best friend and hero because their found family is so special.

TBOB scenes that will never not emotionally devastate me:

kate, age 4, promising to always protect her younger siblings

when the wolves have them cornered in the emerald atlas and the siblings all hold hands and kate makes michael and emma close their eyes but keeps hers open to face it all and also tells them she loves them

gabriel telling emma that in all the world he’d wish for no daughter but her

kate meeting the dire magnus for the first time on the countess’s boat. just chills for that whole scene.

rafe telling kate his whole life story before they dance in the snow

the church burning down and all the kids barely escaping while miss b doesn’t

kate saving rafe’s life by STOPPING TIME

rafe trading his life for kate’s and becoming the dire magnus after she gets shot

michael finally accepting the power of the chronicle by realizing kate and emma’s love gives him strength

gabriel giving his own life to save the wibberlys and the world by killing rourke

emma giving the dead their memories back

KATE STABBING RAFE THROUGH THE HEART

rafe dying to save kate and the world

the last scene where the siblings all go to say goodbye to those they’ve lost and emma and kate say the most devastating final lines of all time and that’s how it ends and i scream forever

anyways these books ruined me at age 10 and i will never be sane because of them :)
