Look man, I have never "shipped" Dan and Phil, because they are real people, and treating real people like fictional characters has always skeeved me out, personally. Like I know it's done in the tabloids and such, but I never liked that either. And knowing the lengths Dan and Phil had to go to in order to protect their privacy (the second apartment!), and the fact that people trying to out him and Phil took a real toll on Dan's mental health . . . yeah I did / do look badly on people who would harass them in comments on their videos and try to make floor plans of their apartment and like, even on Dan's coming out video where he specifically asked people not to be like "lol we been knew" people STILL commented "lol we been knew" . . .

But.

They built a house together. Like they are not just roomies, they BUILT A HOME TO LIVE IN TOGETHER. The sheer level of that commitment is like. God. Dan said they are "basically soulmates" but like

Their relationship is their business. 100%. And everyone needs to respect that. Whatever it is, that's for them. But they built a home to live in together. And they've decided to do that after all these years. After their highest highs and lowest lows. After Phil ate glue. After Dan sprayed deodorant in his eyeball.

Are they a couple? I mean, I don't know for sure, but also I don't think it matters. Because they very clearly love each other, however they define that. They have each other to lean on. And I'm crying (in a good way) because that is so beautiful, and life is hard for us queer folks, but they found and have each other despite that and I'm just so happy for them.

im gonna throw my fantasy high bmc au at the wall and see if it sticks anywhere

the bmc kids are all first year students at aguefort adventuring academy. they're all kind of figuring themselves out, working through their issues.

jeremy is the one and only human. he's kind of tossed around from class to class, not sure what he even IS. honestly, he doesn't even know how he was accepted to aguefort at all. he becomes a cleric, channeling who he thinks is a god of self-betterment. ends up not being the case. he's little more than a vessel tbh.

michael's a half-orc bard. he's jeremy's one friend, and he's wary about all of the Popular Kids (tm). he's got magic headphones that act as a sort of weapon, but he also plays the melodica. because of course he does.

christine is a halfling bard, but her weapon is her voice. sure, she has a short sword for when she needs it, but she mostly just tries to charm her way out of things or pretend to be other people.

jake is a half-elf ranger. he tells everyone he's a full elf, because he's ashamed of not being what everyone wants him to be. he ends up becoming a dual class ranger barbarian. lots of pent up rage.

brooke is an air genasi druid. she's forced into the healer role most of the time, but it doesn't really fit her. eventually swaps classes to be a monk because i want her to kick all kinds of ass. let brooke say "self care" after suplexing a baddie.

jenna is a half-elf half-dwarf (shut up dnd bitches its my au i make the rules) and she's a divination track wizard. she can tell the future when she wants to she just usually would rather stay in the present.

chloe is a full high elf sorcerer. she's basically the fantasy high version of old money, and she's a pretentious little bitch /aff.

rich is a dwarf barbarian. he's trying his best, but he doesn't really know what's going on. he used to be a rogue before the deity that jeremy's summoning whispered to him that it could help him out.
