In the mid-80s Chris and I were in a band called October. We made recordings and gigged frequently around the San Francisco Bay Area. Our friendship continued and I got to know Chris as one of the most kindest, patient, and saintliest man one could ever know. Check out his current work with the HardWest Project, a ministry to the homeless https://www.hardwestproject.org. Christ also has an amazing family (with his son Patrick in the band Gold Connections https://gold-connections.bandcamp.com ). I’m working on digitizing a trove of recordings featuring the talents of Chris in various capacities. Here’s a clip of us performing live with the band October (note Ron Davis’s rocket-fueled drumming)—a raucous New Wave-ish version of “One Planet One Utopia One Helmet” https://johnnyjblairsingeratlarge.bandcamp.com/track/one-planet-one-utopia-one-helmet-live-1986-remastered-2021

Une perruque, des bas résilles et un menu copieux: Help, I might hâve been queen, What's slove got to with it, Show sorne respect, I can't stand the rain, Private Dancer, qui cache des invités célèbres tels David Bowie, Al Green, Paul McCartney ou bien encore Mark Knoepfler.

“Secret Separation” is one of my favorite songs by The Fixx. And I just melt a little bit every time I see Jamie West Oram, the guitarist, smile.
