I cannot breathe. These are the children of gaza, utterly obliterated by Israeli bombs.
I remember when a father said on live tv last month that if his son died may he rest in peace, but he shouldn't have to witness him dying that way, with his brain spilling out and his little tiny arm missing. That was a month ago. Now, israel is dropping more brutal missiles, using Palestine as a testing ground for all kinds of horrible weapons.
Under the cut, a video. Massive trigger warning. Remember that there are more than 7000 kids killed by Israel, not very different from this child here.
Okay this has really been pissing me off. Stop asking/shaming people with any kind of notoriety into speaking up on all the humanitarian issues currently occurring. I don’t say this because I think they should somehow get to keep both their morality and neutrality, but because what is the point? Anyone not already speaking up for Palestine or Congo or Sudan or the Uyghurs or the Kuki people of Manipur has made their choice clear. They’ve shown you who they are, believe them. Stop telling them to speak up about genocide when they’ve clearly shown they only care when it’s white people dying. Stop begging them for scraps, focus on the ones speaking up and focus on what YOU can do. Yes, this includes your favourite celebrities too, I don’t want to hear shit about how it would affect their career, when the choice is your career or thousands of lives, it isn’t a difficult one.
adam ayyad was shot and killed by the iof at only 15 years old. his last message was “This is the year we’ll be happy. This is the year we’ll liberate Palestine.” seeing this post gutted me, especially with his final message, especially with his hope and positivity. i’m so sorry he is no longer alive to see the liberation of palestine, or to bring his family the joy he did when he was alive. palestine must be free, the killing and subjugation must end
Children are being deliberately targeted by Israeli snipers!!!
Incia is part of an online activist group that collects needed information of critically injured Gazan children so they can get evacuated for immediate treatment.
We’re not surprised, it’s been clear for decades that Palestinian children don’t matter to the free world and their “free” press, but it still disgusts us every single time. How is it that Iran’s airstrikes that killed no one and were a retaliation to their consulate being bombed in Syria by the IOF filled headlines everywhere but 14,000 Palestinian children murdered doesn’t get attention. It’s simple, they do not view them as human.
And also I feel like propaganda is real right, but if you see a tweet or a video someone shares and you can't even give a 'oh that's sad' or 'damn thats messed up' or you don't care because it doesn't effect/affect you...WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU
Antisemitism is going to rise. Remember that as the days pass it's not a one sided issue, and you may be actively calling for another genocide of yet another 6 million Jews.
That @whenmagicfilledtheair blogs blatant antisemitism while simultaneously denying it scares the shit out of me.
Yeah, they are by far the worst I've seen.
The thing that I find the most frustrating about people like them, and why I even bothered to comment on their pinned post is that they demand answers to questions, but do so already knowing nothing anyone says will appease them. They are not looking for a debate or even open to changing their mind in anyway. You can see that if you look through their blog and see how they respond to anyone trying to provide them with evidence of their antisemitism.
That's why I didn't try to answer their pinned post, because I'm not going to spend hours going through their their blog taking screenshots and then compiling my own sources for why what they said is wrong or antisemitic when they will just deny anything they don't agree with as wrong or Israeli propaganda.
The thing is, it's easy to criticize Israel without being antisemitic--just look at how other Israelis have been doing it for years. But that's not what this person wants--they want to paint Israel as the most evil country on Earth, with the most evil people, who do uniquely evil things that no other country has ever done before.
I'm not Israeli, I'm not even Jewish, so for the most part I haven't said anything about this war. I come to Tumblr for memes, art and fandom shit. Yet, the rise of Antisemitism is really worrying me, especially when it's so easily brushed off with the excuse that it's just Israeli propaganda.
Like, I just don't understand why it's so hard to admit that, yeah, given how old antisemitism and how it's shaped a lot of cultures worldwide that it's possible some of it has slipped into the 'free Palestine' movement. This doesn't mean it's an inherently bad movement or that Palestinians deserve to die or lose their homes. It just means that maybe sometimes people should take a step back and see if some of their inherent biases have effected how they talk about this war as opposed to others that do not involve the Jewish State of Israel.
