What if you were sealed instead of Gojo?

CW: Shibuya Incident spoilers, angst, not canonically accurate (just roll with it for the plot it doesn't have to make complete sense), swearing, so much angst

Gojo knew that you were strong. He wouldn't have fallen in love with you out of fear if he didn't trust completely in your ability to return to him.

But that was before.

Before the shell of someone the two of you once knew and loved appeared.

Before he allowed himself to be distracted for a split second.

Before you noticed what was happening and shoved him out of the way.

Before you stood in front of him, hands bound behind your back, body rendered immobile.

"Well, this is an interesting development."

Not-Suguru clapped his hands together.

"Oh well, this will do too. Actually, we just managed to nab the strongest's only weakness: his love."

"Who are you?"

You snarl, glaring at your former friend.

"Why, I'm Geto Suguru. Don't you remember me? I'm wounded."

"Bull. Shit."

All Gojo can do is stare blankly at you, and pray that this isn't happening. That one of his worst nightmares isn't playing out in front of him.

"I know damn well that Suguru would never go out of his way to hurt us. He may have hated non-sorcerers, but even at the end he held no hostility towards us. So I'll ask you again. Who are you?"

"Satoru."

Gojo jumped a little, but quickly smoothed his expression over as you used one of your techniques to communicate telepathically with him.

"You need to run."

No! He wanted to scream. There has to be another option.

You continue taunting and yelling at the creature inhabiting your friend's body, and Gojo realizes that you are desperately stalling for time.

"Listen, I know you don't want to. But right now, you can't do anything for me without putting yourself in serious danger. I'm expendable."

Not to him, you aren't. For you, he would tear apart the world with his bare hands. For you, there wasn't a risk he wouldn't take. He has to find a way out of this. For you. Because there was no world where you were fucking expendable to him.

"You need to run! Now! I don't know how much time you have, but I know you can make it outside. You are the strongest after all. Run. Regroup with the others."

He knows that what you are saying makes logical sense, but he still can't wrap his mind around it.

Then you spoke again.

"No one should be allowed to take youth away from young people. That's what we agreed, right? So go. Do it for our kids. Protect their youth. For them. For our dream. For me."

Quietly, oh so quietly, he says something.

"I'm scared."

He admits, so quiet you can scarcely hear him.

"I'm not."

Your tone is gentle and loving.

"You aren't abandoning me forever. This is only temporary. I know that no matter what happens, you will get me out of here. Not because you're the strongest or anything. Because you love me, and I love you. And nothing can keep us apart, 'kay?"

Moving as much as your restraints would allow you, you turn your head the tiniest bit so you can look at him.

"Go. Go save our kids. I believe in you. I'll see you soon my love."

Holding back tears, Gojo Satoru, the strongest sorcerer alive did the unthinkable.

Turning away from you and speeding up and out of the train station was the hardest thing he ever did, and will ever do.

But he did it.

For your many (unofficially) adopted children.

For your shared dream.

For you.

Always for you.

it makes me chuckle to imagine aventurine with a rich!reader who came from a wealthy and influential family who's just as much of a spender as he is

the courting stage would just be you two competitively, in a lighthearted way, trying to one up the other when it came to gifts

he'd buy you a bouquet, you'd buy him one too but much bigger. he'd respond by sending you rare flowers from a far away planet, you'd respond by having a greenhouse full of different flowers from different planets, all for him

he'd offer to eat dinner with you at a fancy restaurant and just one look from the other, you already know where this is headed. you spent a long time trying to decide which restaurant to go to because the other always recommended a different one, insisting the food there was better than the other

he once complained about how taking his car to work was a nightmare because of the recent traffic and you sent a spaceship his way the next day to pick him up

don't even get started with shopping together om

even though you both talked in money and spent so much in material gifts, you still make sure you don't just offer him those but also yourself. as expensive as your dates maybe, most of them are still ones where you could enjoy yourselves in each other's presence

others thought that the outlandish and ridiculous gifts would end or at least lessen when you start officially dating, but boy were they wrong

there was one time he nonchalantly offered to give topaz one of his yachts, insisting that you gave him too much and that you wouldn't mind what he'd do to them as long as he's happy. the face topaz was making was very much screaming ‘wtf?’

all that aside though, it'd be angsty to add that your family doesn't approve of you dating aventurine because he didn't come from a prominent family, typical rich family behavior

they only accepted him as your lover not because they liked him, but because he's part of the ten stonehearts and had a high ranking position sadge

Corroded Coffin, Corrosion (1988)

Corrosion is the debut release of heavy rock band Corroded Coffin. Taking influence from Black Sabbath, Metallica and Judas Priest, this up-and-coming act throws heavy punches with their instrumental skills.

"We write of what we know," explained band lead guitarist, Eddie Munson, "and what we know is that the world is fucked, unjust and terrible to anyone that doesn't fit the narrow mould that society's created. We grew up in a place that would have rather seen us dead than achieve anything."

With tracks like "Don't Panic", "Delight in Me" and "Circus of the Damned", the band expresses their critique in a not-at-all subtle manner on the ideals and expectations of upper-class suburbia. Their lyrics cut deep into the trauma of being unwanted in your own community and what seems to be a national prosecution of social outsiders.

"Freaks," Munson clarified, "that's what they call you, and once that label sticks, you're stuck with it for life. At first, you don't take it personally; try to wear it with pride, but that shit just slowly eats away at you from the inside. You just have to live your life everyday knowing everyone around you is waiting for you to become the monster they already think you are."

The record, however, showcases both sides of the coin, along with the struggles, and there are plenty of references to what brought the band members together as a group. It is the problem as well as the solution. The songs hit you with the deep, unnerving truth but give you the getaway to escape from it right after.

"For us it was games. Video games as well as tabletop. People called us satanists because we played games with dice instead of balls. Make that make sense."

The album is as tragic as it is energetic and lively. Although the band members have yet to perfect their sound, they know what they are doing and possess the potential to gain a seat amongst the artists that inspired them in the first place—and this status might come sooner than we think.

Their single, "Silverlined Black Cat" has topped the Rock charts since its release at the beginning of this year, with the entirety of the album following it's lead just as well. The band announced their debut nation-wide tour dates earlier this month and all shows are already being close to sold out, with additional dates being added to the schedule any time now.

With the undeniable critical and commercial success, it is easy to say, that '88 will be, without a doubt, Corroded Coffin's year.

something about arin/luzu returning while etoiles has been fighting the code on and off for the past month..

like the messages luzu sent tonight happening only a few days before etoiles final, big fight with the code cannot be a coincidence

this one says “there is a hidden danger”

and this one says “there will have to be a final sacrifice.”

is the final sacrifice gonna be etoiles?? LIKE?? there’s no way this is a coincidence is there? etoiles is almost positive he’ll lose, he’s the only one (that we know of) that truly knows how strong the code is and he STILL thinks that despite his best efforts, he will lose.

and now arin/luzu is talking about a “final sacrifice” and a “hidden danger” right before this big code fight so does that make him the sacrifice? he’s done the calculations and if this code he’s gonna meet is any stronger than the last he swears up and down he’s done for unless he’s able to use dark metal armor meaning he might die meaning he might be a sacrifice?

or it could have something to do with max and his weird code parasite infection thing but i think these threes lore will all tie in together somehow

the ramshackle ghost

type: angst

pronouns: they/them

tw: death(obviously, it's a ghost), implied suicide, major character death, people pretending they don't know ab a certain event (not really a tw but using both yuu and preftect) DIDNT PROOFREAD THIS

there are many ghosts that live in the ramshackle dorm, but none of them ever stood out

none except this one

a ghost that has confused many students attending NRC. their youthful expression and school uniform makes them seem like they were once attending this school. they are always roaming the halls, not interacting with students but just floating around

now, there are two very weird things about this ghost.

the first one is how they're treated by staff members. while the staff seems to ignore them, many people have heard them address the ghost by a name or title. "prefect" and "yuu" seemed to be the names they listened to

not only that, but staff members seemed almost sad, or guilty when seeing them. it wasn't that easy to miss trein's sighs whenever he spotted them, or how crewel would scold them like he did with the other students but never call them a "bad pup", or how sam let them get staff for free and pretending to not know it when students confronted him about them

but the weirdest staff members case had to be the headmage's. the ghost was often seen lurking outside his office, but not going in. whenever the two would interact with eachother and aura of awkwardness and tension would be filling the room. and is someone dared to complemt crowley while next to the ghost, they'd be quick to shut down the praise and then float away

the second thing making this particular ghost so interesting was the questions they'd ask

it wasn't anything that would be considered inappropriate or threatening, no no no, it was just weird

every now and then the ghost would approach the students and ask them one of two kinds of questions

they'd either ask about the hall of mirrors, asking if a new mirror had been added, or if they were feeling more down than usual they'd ask "has he found a way home", leaving sadly and quietly when they received a negative response

the second kind of question was simple, they'd ask about a few certain people that all happened to attend NRC at the same time. from royals, to celebrities, to people no one had even heard of, the ghost would ask if they were doing well. if the person they were asking about happened to be well-known, the students would reply, making the ghost thank them and float away with a bright smile

but the weird thing was, the people they asked about seemed to not know them. a notable example would be the one of the actor. when he was asked in an interview about a rumor that a ghost from NRC knew him personally his smile dropped for a quick second. then he regained his composure, saying "there were ghosts at one dorm, but none had interacted with me that much"

so no one really knew anything about them, why? because they people who knew the ghost when it was just yuu were scared. scared of what they had done in the past. scared to admit that they were the reason why the prefect did what they did to themselves. scared that the guilt and the shadows of the past would haunt them. scared that regrets will fill their heads, cause they never helped the one who helped everyone else

all that cause no one found a way for the magicless prefect to go back home. and now they can't go home even after death
