Christmas was always a funny holiday for (Y/N). Either because they never truly felt connected to it or because they haven't felt the 'magic of Christmas' since childhood. Don't get me wrong, they would still put some decorations when they could, but ever since they came to Silent Hill such tradition was lost.

Not like they mind it too much though, they already have the absolute best gift and company they could ever ask for! Just tell me, who in their right mind would be upset about having a nearly 8ft tall demi-god creature as your forever partner? You have to be chronically insane to turn down such blessing!

And speaking of the creature, (Y/N)'s daydream was interrupted when a large hand curled around their arm and stopped them. They shoot a curious glance to their lover, who was already looking at whatever got his attention.

Right above them, placed on the old metallic door frame with, what they suppose is duct tape, were hangign a bunch of oddly shaped pieces of paper. Some pieces where green, others painted green, and all of them where kept together with a piece of damaged red cloth that was tied as a bow.

(Y/N) stares at that weird construction with furrowed brows, really trying to grasp what the hell they're looking at. Pyra was still as well, but his head tilted towards his human as he curiously observes their reaction. Seems like they too have no clue what is this-.

However, (Y/N) manages to make out the shape of it and instantly burst out laughing.

—"No way! No way someone actually made one!"— you say between laughs.

The beast simply observes them, letting out a low wondering rumble. Is that another pointless joke humans have? (Y/N) is laughing hard so it must be something very funny or very stupid.

After the laughter had ceased, (Y/N) takes a look at their monster and suddenly remember what he wanted in the first place. Oh, right. They were supposed to explain what is that.

—"Okay, okay."— you say between giggles as you point at the object. —"That thing over there is supposed to be a mistletoe. Remember when I told you about Christmas and how people decorate that one fuzzy tree? Well, this thing is also kinda a Christmas tradition. People hang it somewhere high and when two step or pass underneath it, they have to kiss."—

While (Y/N) explains, Pyra listens to them carefully. But the second they mention the kiss part, the air between them shifts and becomes... Odd. And Pyra himself still, way too still.

(Y/N) of course feels the change, and is quick to start clarifying.

—"But of course, it's optional. It's not like you're forced to kiss anyone. If anything, I never did! So I suppose this will remain as a silly tradition some-"—

Their speech is replaced by a tiny gasp when the monster suddenly grabs their jaw, gently lifting and moving their gaze where he needed. Their eyes narrow slightly when they noticed a tongue peek out from his helmet and slowly, almost shily, wiggle towards their face.

—"Aww. What a polite guy."— you chuckle as a little blush creeps on your cheeks. —"Well of course I'll give you a kiss."—

Ever since they introduced this new method of showing affection, it wasn't rare to witness Pyra ask for a 'kiss' once or twice. It's kinda funny to see how shy he gets, always taking it slow and giving them enough time to stop or pull away. Do they do that? Nuh-uh! Do they think it feels gross? Weird, yes. But (Y/N) is deranged so it's fine.

The pink muscle soon presses against their lips, and they respond by giving it a kiss while holding it in place gently, totally unbothered by its wet and slippery texture. They could feel Pyra practically melt into the gesture, he does it every time. It's small, but is the closest they can get to an actual kiss, and the intimacy and specialness of it seems to get the beast to his very core.

After some second, when (Y/N) attempts to lean back, a pair of big arms gets a hold around them, cementing them in place completely and pulling them closer to the monster. The said beast lets out a low menacing growl as his tongue licks their cheek and part of the jaw. The message was clear...

M̵̞͔̥̏̌̊o̷͕͒̓͑ͅŗ̷̭̝̓̾e̵̠̤͓̅̒̋.

He wanted more.

Despite the apparentaly hostile growls, (Y/N) showed no intimidation and simply chuckled as they roll their eyes.

—"Someone is feeling frisky, huh?"—

Another, and a bit louder, growl resonated from inside the beast's helmet. His grip around them tightening and the tongue sliding along their lips, almost begging for them to kiss it again.

—"Calm down tiger. We both know if we continue you'll get too carried on."— you coo, sliding one of your hands along one side of his helmet.

He groans with certain displeasure, but his grip soon losens as he slightly tilts his head into their touch, yet he doesn't let go neither.

—"If you're really feeling like doing it then let's go somewhere else. You don't want anyone to see me naked, don't you?"—

This time their answer is no longuer a growl or a sound, but the same pair of big hands lighting their form up and swinging over a broad shoulder.

Before starting to walk however, the monster reaches up and snatches the little paper mistletoe. (Y/N) of course notices that and can't hold back the little laugh.

—"Well well, see you really liked this particular tradition."—

They get no response as the monster resumes his walking. But the small squeeze on one of their thighs was enough proof to know that they got it right and it won't be the last time the see the little item.

After this little interaction, and probably after what's about to come, (Y/N) doubts to ever be able to feel that magic of Christmas again.

However, they realize that they still experienced something new. The magic of the mistletoe.

Is that an actual thing? Who knows.

But it worked on Pyra so it must be a thing, right?

It worked well after all.

...Too well.

Why i love honkai star rail as a disabled player, part 2

part one

alright time for part teo now that im properly into the game. Ive added it to my phone now so this will also cover the mobile. I also dont rememebr what i talked about the first time so forgive any repition

spoilers as usual

Mobile controls are so easy. Im sure i mentioned how intuitive the controls are but its the same for both pc and mobile (idk about any other platform). And its vwry easy to jump from one platform to another, no rememembering where buttons are kn different decices. As long as youve played videogames before it all makes sense.

The turn based stuff is still great. I love battling, and i hate numbers but ive actuslly gotten into my characters and their stats. Like, in what world? Its satisying seeing s character do an AoE and then everything dorps becaus elf the high damage output, turn base goves some nice opportunity to admire your work.

i will say im not into some of the outfits of the characters. Seele is a bit much for a girl livijg in an underground crazytown and Bronya's cloak looks like a safety hazard. Herta is msotly fine (a bit short but ig it work since shes basically in doll form) but March....honey please we walked through a freaking blizzard and you were the one in nothing but a sumeme dress. Did the ice make you immune??? Clara i can understand though, and i have heard Seele was based off her H3 design but still. Some of those outifts look a little inlpractical....then again its a gacha game where the main selling poitnsbare "lookat out cool characters". And i like the male trailblazers ourfit mroe then the male traveller from Genshin

music. Omg i love the music so much. You dont even knwo. Ive been singing the melodies all weekened. Its gonan be one of those legendary themes i think

font size. Good on Pc, wish it was slightly bigger kn mobile esspecislly for some stuff where being sble to see the words is usually a good thing.

Pom pom. Unlike Paimon, they are not mildly annoying and are very cute. They need to be protected at all costs especislly from the memory guardian person. The Breakfast light cone is just so funny too lol. This has nothign to do with the design or anything i just needed to say jt.

even as a FTP player its actually pretty easy to get stuff if you dont mind apending a few mintues or an hour chasing down a frw achivements even just playing the mossions can nab you the premium currency and the grind is the least annoying thing ive played since Monster Super League (which was annoying but was the point kf the game so i couldnt fault it). And dont forget the freebies and gifts! And level rewards! And 50 other things!

Traces. Relics, and light cones are all vpretry intuitive menus. Took me a hot minute to figure out how tk level up a character but now i got it. As long as you know vaguely what atats you need ktsball good.

thats all i really have for now, ill make a part three if j think of more. I did want to add that if you have shaky hands, not having to aim March's bow or aim for an enemy and just tap where the enmh is in the turn based is so much ncier.

do you ever wake up from a dream feeling like a deer that just realized wolves arent real

#daphnes talking again #that shit was not very fun #i havent had a fnaf nightmare in a long time. #okay so in the dream there was this new fnaf game. or like. it wasnt a game because it was at a real place that you went to. #and so i had been working part time at the fnaf place and it was mcdonalds. and anyway #so it was sort of like an escape room alot of the time but only in that there were paid actors goving you bits of story #there was one kid. who would meet you outside. and would take you inside when you arrived. #their gender kept changing throuout the dream but one thing stayed consistant and kt was that i was certain they werent human #the fnaf building also kept changing. at one point it was a new years christmas party at a relatives house and there was a kitten there #that i took home in a box. I also cane home with several presents labeled as being from Vanny but im not sure it was the vanny from fnafscb #one of these gifts was a caterpiler toy with a santa hat on that when wound up did a little waddle and sand a song #the dong went like 'im gonna get you. im gonna catch you. im gonna catch you for santa clause' #but the reason i am afraid right now. is that i had this distinct feeling that something was after my family and specifically #after my dad. #and i kept trying to tell him! to say #'dad theres an arg thats around the new fnaf game and i think its real and i think it wants to kill you because i keep getting #threatening messages-' and hed just sit there and be like. sure sport. have you fed the cat. #and anyway so then two big bunnies showed up and engaged me in combat. i pushed my dad behind me and i heard battle music start to play #yhen i just sat there floating encased in a sheild while i heard a text box show itself to my opposers. then that was over as wyickly as it #started. and then the ghosts of the male members kf abba started haunting me. they came into the room and engaged in conversation #but they said all kind of shit where i was like 'man that is nkt #something i can afford tk do right now' and they were like :/ and then i was like 'hey also while youre out there maybe tell the ladies #that id really perfer them to be here insteead. and also tell ms agneatha that her hair is pretty' also they both looked like force ghosts #from starwars. but anyway. that helped me calm down. i do not like feeling as though somethings after me. #that child was a constant presence. that child wanted to get me. it wanted me dead. and it was extremelt powerful. #it coukd get me dead if it wanted. so why. was it waiting? #that was the scariest part. not knowing when. when or how.

second year oikawa tōru hummed a small tune as he smiled upon himself. "what are you smiling for, shittykawa?" oikawa shrugged at iwaizumi. "i was just thinking of y/n." his friend rolled his eyes.

"you've had your eyes on her for a year and she never batted an eyelash on your way. do you really think she likes you?"

oikawa winced at iwaizumi. "you don't have to break my heart like that, you know! besides.." he tilted his head with a small smile on his face. "i'll make her fall for me, just you see. before we reach the start of our last year here in aoba johsai, she'll be with me."

iwaizumi knew there was no changing oikawa's mind so he just sighed. "then you better start now, trashykawa."

and he did just that. he had taken you out on dates, sang you songs, took you to his games and gave you gifts. you had thought he was just playing at first but when you witnessed him pushing away attention from other girls, you knew he was serious.

but you weren't convinced just yet.

oikawa questioned himself on what he was doing wrong. he had done everything he knew, even telling her how much he likes her in every date they go to. if lucky, he'll get a tiny blush and a soft 'baka'.

it's not that he was tired though. he was just getting impatient.

so he advances more, going as far as asking for your hand whenever the two of you walks together. he had met your parents after walking you home, had played with your younger siblings/cousins; he basically wooed your whole family.

they were all ecstatic to know that he had taken an interest in you.

and his small acts with your family made you feel overwhelmed with his affection.

it was working, alright. the way his face lights up every time your smaller, younger relatives ask him to play with them even after volleyball practice, the way he politely smiles at everyone and how he reserves a charming unique smile just for you; it made you feel honored and blessed to have him.

one day, iwaizumi and oikawa walked home together. "just ask her." normally, oikawa would skip half of practice to walk you home and go back to school but today was one of those rare moments he wouldn't since your parents had picked you up.

"it's not that easy, iwa-chan. she never responded to my affection clearly just yet, you know. she's goving mixed signals and that scares me." he sighed as he took out his buzzing phone from his bag. his eyes widened as he saw your name on the screen.

"answer it, dummy. dont just stare at it like that."

oikawa pouted at iwaizumi before answering.

as oikawa reached his home, he waved at iwaizumi and continued talking with you on the phone. the occasional chuckles from your end made his heart flutter but when he heard himself shout 'tadaima' through the phone, he blinked into silence.

"was that me or do you have another boy with you?" his voice had a tinge of jealousy in it and you could'nt help but laugh. you emerged from their house's receiving area, ending the call.

"okaeri." he looked at his phone, stumped before looking back up to you. "im dreaming?" you furrowed your brows and shook your head, fidgeting.

"pinch me." and so you did exactly that to him, making him wince loudly. "alright. this is definitely not a dream."

"i came here to tell you something."

"no. i should be the one telling you something."

"... then, you go first."

you shook your head and stepped back, feeling yourself turning calm again.

now it was his turn to freeze. he feared you'd say no. his thoughts raced as he gulped nervously.

he blinked. "come.. again?" you rolled your eyes, feeling yourself heat up again. "i said yes."

then he tackled you into a hug. "please tell me you're not joking." you lightly smacked him. "i don't joke around about this things, tōru."

he froze at the sudden use of his name but his smile grew bigger. his heard skipped a beat and his hold on you got tighter.

when you realized what you did, you stammered a weak apology which he found cute.

"c'mon n/n-chan. let's go eat dinner." he laced his hand with yours and led you in the house to find his parents, your family, and iwaizumi. he blinked at his best friend.

"your parents phoned me."

"how did you even get here, iwa-chan?"

"through the back door, crappykawa. did you expect me to miss this?"

he pouted. "you're starting to sound like a mom again, iwa-cha-" before he could finish, he took off immediately as iwaizumi chased him around the house like they're still children.

you smiled fondly before helping your boyfriend's parents into setting up the dinner.

Brexit: June Mummery calls on Boris Johnson to ‘hold firm’

There are just three weeks until the end of the transition period and negotiators are desperately trying to thrash out a trade deal at the 11th hour. The EU has refused to shift on its red lines, demanding Britain give the bloc continued access to its fishing waters and vow to follow Brussels’ rules and regulations.

Boris Johnson has said any deal must respect the UK’s sovereignty, but so far his calls have fallen on deaf ears.

Following the EU’s intransigency, Tory MPs have said the UK should walk away from the negotiating table and leave the transition period under a no deal scenario.

They’ve argued leaving under such circumstances would be to the benefit of the UK in the long run.

Bracknell MP James Sunderland told Express.co.uk: “Everything at the moment is in the gift of the European Union.

“What we are doing is seeking a free trade agreement with the EU, our closest neighbour, in exactly the same way as Canada and other countries have done.

“At the moment there’s part of EU that thinks we’re still part of the EU.”

He said that while Britain must “not kid ourselves that the disruption and the bureaucracy and the red tape” would be detrimental to the UK, it would also impact the EU and help reset free trade deal negotiations.

He added: “I suspect that a clean break might be necessary because we would then have to go back to the negotiating table next year, but we’d go back as an equal negotiating partner as a sovereign nation.

“It may be the UK is in a much better place to insist on its demands.”

Tory Brexiteer Desmond Swayne also said leaving without a deal could improve the UK’s negotiating hand.

He accused the EU of “extortion” with its demands in talks and said Brussels was “treating us in a shocking way”.

The New Forest West MP told this website: “In the longer run, rather than make some dreadful concession at the last minute to avoid a measure of chaos on January 1 lasting some weeks, in the medium to longer-term it would be much more healthy if we leave without a deal.

“It’s going to be a bumpy ride but it might help reset the relationship and it might be the best way of achieving a deal.”

The Prime Minister has vowed to remain steadfast in his demands and not sell out the UK to secure a deal.

On Thursday evening he told his Cabinet to now prepare for a no deal scenario.

However, he added: “What I’ve said to our negotiators is that we’ve got keep going, and we will, I will go to Brussels, I will go to Paris, I will go to Berlin or wherever to try to get this home.”

Former Cabinet Minister under John Major, John Redwood, has welcomed Mr Johnson’s firm stance.

He said: “The UK offer of a free trade deal is a generous one given the large imbalance in trade.

“We regain our independence with no deal. Deal has to improve on that, not take it away.”

However, North West Leicestershire MP Andrew Bridgen has said there is no point continuing with the trade talks as “the gulf between the two sides is still huge”.

He told Express.co.uk it was time for the UK to embrace no deal, adding: “The state of the negotiations is rather like a patient who’s expired in hospital and all the concerned parties are stood around the bed, looking at the body and everyone knows that the patient has expired and can’t be resuscitated, but no one wants to take responsibility for turning the life support off.”

Mr Johnson and the European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen have agreed they will make a firm decision on the future of negotiations on Sunday.

If they believe a trade deal looks unlikely they will end negotiations and prepare to operate under World Trade Organisation terms from the start of next month.
