Concept: You and Levi are deeply in love with each other, so he wants to introduce you to his adopted daughter, Mikasa. You are terrified of it happening because you can see yourself growing old with Levi, and you have talked so much about the future. You finally meet Mikasa and things go better than you expected.

You climbed off the bus with your overnight bag in hand, along with a bag full of gifts. Levi had offered to pick you up, but you said you would make your way over because you needed to prepare yourself. You needed to calm your anxiety before you met Mikasa.

Levi adopted Mikasa when her parents passed. Mikasa was a distant relative of Mikasa's and became her dad very quickly. He took her as his own when she was a few months old. Levi had raised her from a baby and loved her as if she was his own. You knew how close they were and that she was Levi's world and he did dream of having more kids in the future.

You gulped hard as you stood in front of his cute townhouse with perfectly painted fences, neatly laid out flowers and a cute swing bench on the decking. You adored his house and seeing a little girl's outdoor toys on the grass made you smile.

Mikasa was only three, but she was a smart and active little girl. Levi told you how she was running circles around him most days. Levi loved it. He loved everything about his little girl and showed you videos of her and her development. Levi had told you Mikasa was going to love you, but you still worried.

You opened the little gate to the front garden and made your way up to the front door. You let out a long sigh and shook your arms a little. You pressed the doorbell and waited. You smiled when you heard a squeal of happiness and Levi's muffled voice getting closer.

Levi opened the front door and smiled at you. "Hey, beautiful." He pulled you close and kissed you. "Mm, you are wonderful. I'm so glad you're staying over."

"Me too."

"I love you."

You blushed. "I love you too."

"Daddy?"

Levi looked down at his little girl, her back hair was tamed and a cute red bow was in it. He smiled as she fiddled with her pretty dress, one that she told Levi she had to wear because she wanted so badly to look good for the visiting Queen. Levi loved how Mikasa was so excited to meet you and for you to be her mummy.

He petted her head. "Go ahead."

Mikasa shuffled in her little socks with cats on. "Mm...hi...I'm Mikasa."

You crouched down and offered your hand as you said your name. "Lovely to meet you finally. Your daddy has told me so much about you and I must say, you are like a little princess."

Mikasa's eyes lit up. "Princess?"

You giggled. "That's right." You gasped. "I love your dress and socks. You like cats?"

She nodded. "Yes."

"They're so cute."

She bounced up and down. "Can I show you my kitties?"

You gasped as she grabbed your hand. "Oh, I'd love to."

Levi chuckled. "I've got your bags."

"Thanks." You ran with Mikasa and went upstairs. You released her hand and watched her run around grabbing a few toys she liked. "They're very cute. Which one do you love?"

She picked up a little kitty. "This one."

You sat on the floor and hummed a laugh. "I like it."

Levi stepped into the room with a bag. "You might want this."

You took it from him. "Thank you. I have a hello gift." You pulled out a big cuddle cat. "I picked this one because it looks like your daddy."

Mikasa took it from you and stared at the big cuddly cat. Tears filled her eyes before she threw herself at you. "Thank you."

You hugged her back. "You're welcome. I uh...I baked some cakes cause your daddy said you like tea parties."

Mikasa opened your bag and looked inside. "Yum yum yum!"

Levi picked up the bag. "Not yet."

Mikasa pouted. "Daddyyyy."

He ruffled her hair. "Not yet. We'll set up the party first. Once we have the party, it's nap time."

Mikasa pouted. "No nap time."

"Yes nap time. You need sleep."

"Daddyyy."

You cleared your throat. "I like nap time, it's my favourite part of the day."

Mikasa gasped a moment before humming. "Okay. Nap time." She got up. "Party!"

Levi watched her run off. "I might ask you to come over more often." He looked over at you. "To get her to sleep."

You lowered your head. "I think I need help getting up."

"Nerves?"

You whined. "Yes. I can't believe she likes me. I was panicking so much."

Levi knelt in front of you. "She was so excited to meet you that she couldn't sleep. It took us a while to get her outfit this morning. She said it had to be perfect."

You welled up. "She's so cute." You threw yourself at Levi and hugged him. "I'm so happy she likes me."

Levi squeezed you. "She loves you, I can tell." He picked you up and stood making you laugh. "Come on, my Queen, our little princess is waiting." He took you downstairs and plopped you onto your feet. "Looks like the princess is setting up her tea party."

You giggled as she ran around setting up her little table. "I'm glad she's excited."

"Me too."

Mikasa ran over to you and held your hand. "The Queen sits with the princess!"

Levi folded his arms. "Oi? What about the King? He wants to give the Queen kisses."

Mikasa shook her head. "Later, daddy."

"Okay, later."

Mikasa pulled you along and patted a seat. "This one."

You sat down and smiled. "Thank you."

You had your tea party with Mikasa and talked to her whenever she asked questions. You made her laugh and fascinated her with stories. As time went on she slowly fell asleep. She hugged your side and fell asleep holding you.

Levi smiled as he cleaned up. "I think today went perfectly."

"Me too. I was worried over nothing."

Levi picked up Mikasa and held her close. "I'll put her to bed and I'll be right back."

You waved. "Sure." You walked to his kitchen and made a cup of tea for you and Levi. You sat in the window seat and opened the window to get the warm summer air in. "Mm, peaceful."

"You look right at home."

You blushed as you looked over at Levi. "Really?"

He sat opposite you and enjoyed his tea. "Mm. Wonderful tea, thank you."

"I'm glad you like it."

He put his cup down and took yours away from you. "Come here."

You pouted. "My tea."

He grabbed you and dragged you between his legs and into his arms. "I was denied kisses. I need kisses."

You wrapped your arms around Levi's neck and started kissing him over and over. You smiled against his lips before pushing your tongue into his mouth. You moaned in delight as your tongues danced together and a tingle started in both your bodies.

Levi squeezed your bum in his hands. "Tomorrow morning will be interesting. I am sure Mikasa will wake us both up."

You hummed a laugh. "That's okay. I'm just glad she's accepted me."

"Well, you're Queen according to her." He purred. "My Queen and I'm your King."

You nuzzled your nose against his. "Yes you are."

Lil (long) simblr gratitude day post

I wanted to make a post shouting out some of my favorite creators, storytellers, and just general simmers from over the last year, mainly focused on ts4 since that's where my attention has been the most. Long post ahead so it's going under a cut. If you're not tagged please know I did wake up late today so it's not as complete of a list as I wanted it to be!!

@adelarsims - You are an essential in my mods folder!! I love how much realism and/or character your cc adds to sims, from things like the piercing holes to the wonky glasses to the mechanic overlay... Just so many little things that I can't imagine not having in my game or on certain characters now. Speaking of characters, your sims both original and premade are always so gorgeous, and I really enjoy your interpretations of wg and jeb. & Thank you for being WCIF friendly, I know it takes time to get that info but it's so appreciated, u've help me find some very beloved pieces of CC. Also the level of dedication u have to organizing your mods folder is incredible and you've inspired me a lot to get my folder's act together finally!! Which is SUCH a QoL improvement

@bearphase - I adore the bright legacy and I admire all the little details and effort you put into your posts, like fixing clipping issues, making icons and templates for custom careers or story events, ur creativity really shines through. You've also reminded me how fun NSB can be and inspired me to get back to it and my human enough gameplay and I can't thank u for that enough, it's got me sooo excited for future simming endeavors

@daisydezem - You've been a welcome addition on my dash back since POSE, which was a fantastic first community experience for me and so much fun, & I love your gameplay & love how much work u put into rainbowsin! (I adore Venus so much btw!!) I hope you're healing well and that u have a lovely new year!!

@divinedionym - CLAIRE!!! I was SO happy to see you dipping your toes back in the community I missed you on my dash! and while I adored ur vatores and their story and ur an incredible storyteller, I'm glad you've been able to pivot into something more enjoyable for u. I hope you have lots of fun in the coming year and I can't wait to see what Aspen gets up to… or into… especially with his vampire BF. Aside from that idk if you'll ever wanna run another sims server, but I did want to give you a late shoutout and props for that bc I know from experience it can be difficult and I really loved how you ran yours! I could just be an anxious bitch but I feel like its so hard to find comfortable servers.... and esp the storytellers one was so cozy and helpful, and ur management of it was *chefs kiss* I've also really enjoyed it every time we've talked, tho I'm sorry I'm so shy 😭😭

Wifey has been SO good and I'm pumped to see where the rest of the story goes. U have a natural talent for storytelling and I really appreciate how much care u put into your characters. There's been so many times you've made me want to jump back into my projects for ts2 or even go back to ts3 once I have the space to download it. @oshinsimblr - Long 1 incoming... While I've never been a sims 4 hater, like a lot of people I've still struggled with the gameplay aspect of this iteration, so it's been really inspiring to watch how you go about your game and immerse yourself in it, see all the care you put into your sims. I have to thank you for the videos you've made on it, like the one on how to make sims you connect to, season 1 of Lovesick where you went basically vanilla with the specific intent to show people how much you can do with imagination and what that looks like in gameplay! It's been literally game-changing for me lol and helped me to have more fun with my saves, even if they're not one of the rare few that starts out off the rails, I get more enjoyment playing it out until things do start happening outside of my control. & YOUR CC RECS!! I've downloaded so many of the mods you've recommended and I love how much they fill out the game. On the topic of Lovesick, I have not been able 2 get enough!! I'm so hooked lmao. Watching this series has really taken me back to the days when I was a teen reading like those particularly juicy drama-filled sims 3 stories you can't help but to keep clicking "next page" on, except Lovesick is so solid writing-wise. SO excited to see where Lizbeth is going in her life!!

@simandy - Your hairs have been an essential in my CAS folder for so long, and I've been so impressed with the evolution of your creations over the years. I've always liked your work but GODDAMN the quality always blows me away these days!! & I really, really adore and appreciate the variety! @squea - ANOTHER SORT OF LONG ONE BUT ... Your sims just POP!!! SO much character, and your edits and art r phenomenal. Corn is one of my favorite little digital guys I've had the pleasure of experiencing on line in all my years in the sims community reading stories and gameplay. If Cornelius has a million fans I am one of them. If Cornelius has ten fans I am one of them. If Cornelius has no fans I am no longer on the earth. If world against Cornelius, I am against the world. So on and so forth TBH you've also helped me have a lot more fun with the sims 4 talking about how you enjoy your game, and have a healthier mindset about my place in the community and connect back with the reason I made this blog in the first place, which was just to have fun and archive something I love, regardless of whether it got any attention or not! I started going MIA a bit post 2019 after really getting involved in the community, for Life Happens reasons, and naturally the lack of consistent posting for a while meant less eyes on whatever I came back to share. For a while I let that discourage me esp when a lot of effort was put into something, but after you posted about just genuinely enjoying ur game and loving what you made regardless of notes it made me realize what I was doing and helped me get back to that state of mind. Now whatever I make gets to matter simply because it matters to me, even if I post it at like 3am bc I'm so excited and no one ever sees it bc of that DHKDHKHSD. & I feel like I have u to thank for that!! U turned da lightbulb on

@thefoxburyinstitute - I could not make a gratitude post without forgetting to include the foxbury institute!! I've been messing around more with making CC the last couple of months and your blog has been so incredibly helpful, and I highly recommend everyone interested in creating or just wanting to maintenance and mend their mods folder a bit check them out!

@tricoufamily - YOUR RENDERS ARE SO GORGEOUSSS and I love your take on the Villareals. I never ran into the original story so I'm really excited tbh to see whats up ur sleeve... also I love everything you've shared about two headed lamb so far, so eerie and offputting in the best way. @warwickroyals - Ok so first off your clothing is a STAPLE in my folder for my more wealthy and/or fashion-oriented sims! And as for the Warwick Legacy? One of my absolute favorite simblr stories I've read. I still remember when I started it, it was pretty late at night so I was just planning on reading a handful of posts and then picking it back up the next day. That did not happen I could not stop. Straight up stayed up the entire night bingeing all the way to the latest post (which was the Big Phillip Thing. I had to get up from my computer to pace I was having a Moment LOL) I've got some catching up to do but so far I think that's been my favorite arc. Aside from that your editing is beautiful, and I've always been a character enjoyer so I'm in love with how much thought you've put into all of yours, and the fact we get to learn so much about them. I think you do a really good job of balancing the cast and I really dig your storytelling style in general.

@whimsyalien I know u post moreso on twitter but since u ARE technically also on simblr... I just wanna say I love the polaris legacy and thank you so much for all the poses and templates you share!!!

Our Skyy 2 x My School President Ep 2 (Finale) Stray Thoughts

Yesterday, we entered the Multiverse of Cuteness and returned to the world of My School President. Things are different this time around. Tinn and Tiwson are members of the Lion Band, Gun and Por are members of the student council, Gun's mom is the principal, Yo and Pat have switched places, and Sound and Win have switched places. The characters at their core feel the same, but their circumstances have adjusted the way the story has played out. Everything feels off, but in a way that seems to really appreciate who these people are. Their struggles will play out differently, but they're still inevitably drawn to each other.

I'm so glad we returned to the "I only see cuteness scene."

Final Verdict: 9, Recommended. This outing was an excellent examination of the nature of an AU and how it can highlight core aspects of characters in other settings. I really enjoyed that every character still felt correct even if we put them in a different position in the story. I liked the idea that they would all still choose each other. I love that you can't walk away from this without seeing how important Tinn's bravery and determination were critical to the way MSP unfolded, and how tenuous they are because of Gun's insecurities. This was really excellent.

Just wanted to say that I've been a long-time fan of yours, since before PoF, and your analyses were some of the most well-thought out, nuanced and well-researched pieces on the site (my favorites are the playlist analyses they're like my comfort ones lmao). Even tho I've drifted away from the fandom, I still check back in here every now and again to see what's going on. Whilst I love ur series, I do think it's sad you've had to give urself that closure, which is one of my biggest hang-ups with this series. This painful, slow decline where SaSi drags on and on, losing all its momentum & fans and ending with a quiet sizzle rather than a bang as it should, is the worst way to end a series that touched so many people, including me. Tbh, if Thomas is going to use his ever-patient SaSi fans to milk views and money for his other series, he owes it to them to at least finish it properly. He owes his fans a lot of things, and a S2 finale is the main one, you can't milk SaSi for views and not create an episode for 2 years, you can't have your cake and eat it too. Don't want to do it anymore? Cut it, end it, so people can finally move on. The decline of SaSi has been one of the saddest things to witness, but I'm glad you're branching out into other things (tbh kudos for making it this long) and I'll stick around anyway even if ur analyses aren't SaSi because I don't read them for the content, but for the captivating way you write :)

But seriously, it's beautiful to feel so appreciated and I thank you a lot for that. I am glad you enjoy my analyses so much and it makes me very happy to know they have a good use. If they can help someone feel better, then I will keep writing them until the end of time - no, you can't take back your words now, they will come and be stupidly long because I love to ramble about stuff I like :P

Your words about SaSi are perfectly understandable and I agree with everything you say. It's really a shame that this series is slowly declining and it probably won’t end up like a bang, as it deserved.

Sure, Thomas explained a lot of things and it's now a bit clearer why this happened. However, this doesn't take away from the fact that the organization is pitiful and the lack of communication shouldn't have happened at all, not in a competent team. There are definitely issues and I hope Thomas will work on them as soon as possible, because they can affect his future projects too.

I felt we were going in this direction and I was growing frustrated. So, I did what I do every time there is something I don't like: I try to fix it, even if just for myself. And that's what I did with FSS3. I wanted to see these threads close in a satisfying way, I wanted to see the themes I care about being developed as they deserve. I wanted to give these characters a mature development, because I deeply love them and I deeply love the concept and the possibilities of Sanders Sides.

So, I put my ideas down - with the help of all the people who contributed to the survey. And now, I feel much more satisfied. I know FSS3 isn’t canon, but it’s as close to canon as possible - and, hopefully, will keep being like that for some time too. It’s something I wanted and needed and I’m glad people appreciated it and felt it was good for them too.

And now, I will gladly branch into other stuff. I need to do a bit of a makeover on the blog and expand the “not SaSi” section, first. Then I already have three series I want to talk about and one will be very long, so it might take a lot of time. And then Eurovision will come in May and the Book of Bill will come out in June and maybe I will also talk about the books I love in the future? Or about other series I follow and enjoy? I still don’t know, but be sure I won’t run out of things to talk about. I just wish my ramblings will be worthy of your time and I will keep deserving your appreciation, no matter what I’ll talk about <3

Hope you don't mind more questions about Stella! The more I learn about her through your blog, the more endearing she becomes :) In Stella's backstory, Ardyn kills her mom and sets their house on fire. Did he have any particular motive to do that? How did he know Stella was his descendent? Did he ever learn of the existence of Stella and Ignis's child? Lastly, did Stella ever tell the boys, or at least Ignis, about what Ardyn did to her mom, or was it too painful for her to talk about?

in my AU, Ardyn's descendants are a line of healers using powers similar to what Ardyn had when he was originally alive, and they access their magic by channeling the Crystal. except, since Ardyn was rejected by the gods, none of his descendants can use their powers without the blessing of the current King.

over the centuries, this caused a bond to form between the two sides of the continuing Lucis Caelum bloodlines, but Ardyn's bloodline no longer shared the last name.

Stella's mom Salvia was a prominent Lucian healer and had been good friends with Regis for a long time. despite being unaware of their actual blood relation through their ancestry, the two had a sibling-like relationship, and that's how Noctis & Stella grew up being told they were cousins.

Salvia was well-known in the region not only for her healing abilities, but also for her charisma and upbeat personality. as the years went on, and the situation between Lucis and Niflheim grew more tense, Salvia became more outspoken in her defense of her homeland and used her favor with the public as sort of a platform to speak out against the Empire. this put a target on her back, but nothing happened until Ardyn noticed who she was.

back up and wandering Eos again after 2,000 years, Ardyn obviously had questions about this mysterious line of healers who worked so closely with the Lucian Kings. once he figured out where they came from, it disgusted him to see his own descendants supporting the Lucis Caelums as they were. he decided to fix the "problem" by murdering Salvia, because he considered it justice and knew it would be taken as a political attack, keeping him anonymous.

he didn't expect Stella to get home from school before he left the house. her grief over her mother only angered him more, so without ever making himself known to Stella, he simply dropped a fireball to the floor and left. Stella should have died, but after trying unsuccessfully to drag her mother's body from the burning house, she luckily had the clarity to run and find a window so she could jump outside to safety.

after Salvia's death and Stella's temporary disappearance, there was a media frenzy. the murder was assumed to be a political attack; retaliation from the Empire, just as Ardyn had predicted. but no one knew that Salvia didn't die in the fire, only Stella saw that she'd been stabbed already. that fact haunts Stella to her core; not only that she had to find her mother's corpse, but the reality of knowing that whoever set the fire did it so they could kill her, too.

Stella keeps the truth to herself for a long time. she eventually tells Ignis about it before the journey while they're still living in Insomnia, but is adamant that no one else needs to know because she doesn't think anyone would believe her. her only focus at that point is figuring out who did it so she can get her revenge.

skipping far into the future, Stella doesn't give birth to Lucina until after the Dawn, thankfully, so Ardyn is already gone by then. her pregnancy is the reason Noctis insisted she didn't come with them into the Citadel for the final battles. had she gone in, Ardyn was planning to kill her when they reached the throne room (and he had Salvia's body strung up with the others, in place of Aldercapt in my AU). he sent a Red Giant after Stella outside instead, but she was able to fight it off thanks to Nyx's spirit, which rose up to help her.

the fact that Stella, another member of the Lucis Caelum bloodline, was still alive, is what prevented the prophecy from coming true and allowed Noctis to survive the Dawn. in canon, Noctis and Ardyn cancel each other out at the end, but in my AU only Ardyn is laid to rest. the bloodline is able to continue without the weight of the Crystal or the interference from the gods, and Noctis & Stella get to live in harmony in the rebuilt city with all the people they love, the way Somnus & Ardyn should have.

I have a feeling this question is going to be a mess, and I apologize for the rambling. :( No kidding, I can see that I will be relying on re-reading Jealous Neteyam (and other chapters) for the foreseeable future to stay alive. It's nice to see that they're already feeling so familiar and comfortable with each other by the end of the book (Kxolo's reaction to Neteyam being such a bold PDA made me laugh so hard. Like, he doesn't actually want to stop his Omega, but at the same time, this man obviously wants some privacy lol) It's rare to see Kxolo in a "controlled" position, and it's very cute to see Neteyam feeling so unsure about it! And OMG, I knew this was going to happen someday but they MADE the bond!!!! I would probably walk out of my apartment and run screaming down the street for this! I loved every word of this chapter, but it also left a lot of mysteries. When kxolo was talking to neyra, did he notice the two people peeking behind him? And when did Kxolo start noticing Neteyam showing jealousy? And of course, what happened at the morning meeting...Are they in "silent treatment" with each other? (Wait what am I talking about, they're very sweet.) God, I'm dying to know everything about them...Honestly, I think it's getting a little creepy. Lastly, make a friend who will do anything to beat someone to the ground for you. Take care of your rest. I hope you're doing well in college. :))

I'm so glad you enjoyed the little jealous Neteyam drabble. Although it took me forever to finalize, I had a fun time writing it and it means a lot to know that there is a group of people that really care about this little story I started almost a year ago<3

Writing Neteyam in a "dominate" position was so fun to me since I can only imagine the poor boy just never had any practice with it. Kxolo found seeing his nervous little omega take the reigns not only incredibly sexy but also so endearing. Since this drabble is set in the future this is not the first time they make the bond but it was really fun to write. As Olo'eyktan Kxolo feels it isn't technically appropriate to make tsaheylu at a public dinner but at the same time he had too much fun watching Neteyam show off his claim. By the end of dinner Kxolo was grinning like a mad man, completely arrogant and proud of the boy's jealous behavior. The Olo'eyktan forever treasures moments like this where he gets to see how far they have come, his little omega so desperate to make sure Kxolo never slips between his fingers.

As far as watching him and Neyra, they were in a fairly public setting so he knew that Neteyam and Vamai could've been nearby but it wasn't until Neteyam's little display and glaring across the fire that he put two and two together.

At the morning meeting, Neteyam just so happened to be getting impatient with the long meeting and made some bratty remarks in front of the whole war party. He was reprimanded but Neteyam also learned how far his sweet little looks and soft touches could get him.

(A true bestie is one that will go to the mat with a bitch that dares to disprespect you hahaha. That's love)

This ask could not have come at a more perfect time, I am so deep in fictional character brainrot and this gives me such a great outlet for it :,) hope you're ready lmao

In no particular order:

Klaupacius and Trurl — The Cyberiad, Stanislaw Lem

These two are the main characters in this set of short stories. They are the greatest constructors in the universe — they can make anything and everything, to a fault. They're always at odds, but they are fundamentally inseparable; there isn't ever even a question in-universe of whether they'll come back together, because they always do. They have seen each other's greatest triumphs, and they have fixed each other's most egregious mistakes.

I have to put these two together; it just doesn't feel right to separate them into two entries. Even though there are some stories in the anthology where only one of them is acting, the other always makes a cameo by the end. I joke a lot about media altering my brain chemistry when I get obsessed with it, but this book truly did do something powerful to me. They exemplify the quintessential asexual queerplatonic relationship in my mind, and they have become everything I wanted for my own future long term relationship.

This book contains the most beautiful love poem I have ever read.

2. Selina Meyer — Veep

I'm obsessed with this show, and I quite literally rewatch it on a loop, only sometimes buffered by watching something else. I have a giant spreadsheet with every episode and every character listed where I am working on outlining exactly what I think every character's "rule" is, and where in the show they finally break that rule. Everyone breaks their rule — except for Selina Meyer.

Without spoilers: Selina Meyer is a masterclass in writing an in-universe anti-villain. Her (public) goals are, at face value, incredibly noble: she wants to dedicate her life to serving the public in political office. However, due to her deep personality flaws, she ends up being one of the most morally reprehensible characters ever written.

3. Howl Pendragon/Jenkins (movie) — Howl's Moving Castle

What can I say? He's gender. He has the life I want. I watch this movie to live vicariously through him. His growth is beautiful; it inspires me when I feel like I'm running from my responsibilities and loved ones.

I do also have a lot of love for book Howl, though he didn't make the cut for this list. He is a picture perfect blorbo. I'm glad they changed him deeply and fundamentally in the interest of making the movie that I know and love, so that I could be deeply and brutally shocked by how low book Howl will stoop to continue to be worse.

4. Kikyo — Inuyasha, Rumiko Takahashi

She was my first character love. Kikyo is uniquely tragic, and I haven't found another character who makes me feel the same way she does.

She's undead, doomed to wander a place where she doesn't belong until she is finally put down again. However, instead of laying down again willingly after being resurrected, she chooses to continue walking amongst the living, and by doing so endures unimaginable emotional and spiritual suffering, and she chooses this for two reasons. One, because she is still dedicated to defeating the evil that stole her life from her. Two, because she is still hopelessly in love with Inuyasha, and takes every available opportunity to have him again.

Kikyo is sympathetic, but deeply flawed. Despite knowing she is doomed never to live, she can't help but grasp at anything close to the life she desired for herself and Inuyasha, as equals and lovers. And despite knowing her turn at life is over, that she is no longer a factor in the ultimate fate of their world, she still believes that she is the only one with the power to defeat the evil that they are facing.

She dies after a life/undeath full of suffering, without reaping any of the rewards she wanted for herself — the only thing she gets in the end is a peaceful death in her lover's arms.

5. Nux — Mad Max: Fury Road

I'm such a sucker for someone who was raised in a cult, who comes out of it and comes to love the beauty they found in the world outside of their lifelong beliefs. I have so much I could say, but Nux is just so much better experienced than explained in my mind. I wish he could have lived forever.

6. Todd Chavez — Bojack Horseman

Every time I try to write paragraphs about him, it just doesn't come out right. He's the unsung hero of the show. He's a beautifully portrayed asexual character who finds fulfillment after setting hard boundaries. He has compassion for Bojack to a fault, but in the end is still able to set and keep meaningful boundaries. I just love him so much.

7. Jobu Tupaki — Everything, Everywhere, All At Once

I could write so many paragraphs. When I watched this movie for the first time, a hole in my heart was filled. There is not a single other piece of media I can think of that treats a godlike character like EEAAO treats Jobu. Being all-knowing and essentially omnipresent has rendered all material goals pointless, and relationships with people who aren't like her have no benefit in the end.

The movie has a great ending, showing that she and her mother must choose things that matter to them, to give them purpose. To me, though, there's still this big question mark in the background — it's entirely possible that they will end together in the same place that Jobu was in when the movie started, simply because that might be the ultimate final state of omniscient beings.

8. Frankenstein's Demon — Frankenstein, Mary Shelley

I didn't say "monster," because Shelley refers to him almost exclusively as a "demon/daemon" after Frankenstein learns how educated he is. He is first a monster, bumbling around committing murders and doing things without knowing the suffering he's enduring. But after he reads the books and encounters the family in the cottage, he's able to act with intention, and put words to his suffering, and all of a sudden in Shelley's words, he becomes a demon.

Essays have been written about what makes the Demon such a great character. I love him because in the end, seeing his creator's dead body, he tries to tell Frankenstein that he forgives him for his hubris. He is the first true android character in my heart of hearts.

9. Kusuriuri / The Medicine Seller — Mononoke

God, this show is a masterpiece. Kusuriuri represents a type of character that's pretty rare: he has no agenda, and in the end I don't think he even necessarily has fundamental beliefs. His mission is to resolve the turmoil of the dead which create the monsters he fights, on their terms, using "lessons" they can understand. He is entirely neutral but for that one goal. It's awesome to watch, and I absolutely CANNOT wait for the movie!!!

10. Dave Strider — Homestuck

Listen. I hid it at the bottom of the post like a respectable, shameful Homestuck of old. He’s the best. He’s the worst. He’s transcoded. I love him. What do you want from me. I’ve clearly got some complex feelings about transmasculinity seeing as Howl is also on this list. Leave me alone. But also, I have paragraphs ready to defend this man against all wrongdoing; the only issue is that he has so many timelines, and I don’t want to subject any of the readers of this post to such things.

In all seriousness, his character helped me reckon with some very major changes in my life. For those who need it: sometimes it’s okay for your authority figures to become peers. It’s part of becoming an adult. There are just some things that are not properly articulated in short form fiction; the change from “parent/authority” to “peer/parent” is one of those things. Idk what else to say here.

Sims 4 Fontenot Legacy - Home Stretch

As Sigrid and Robin's wedding is now days away (yes, it's finally happening!), Sigrid heads to the venue to do some final checks to make sure everything is in order. Anya, ever the supportive sister-in-law and major help in the planning process, meets her to do one last check of the space.

Anya: Ah, been a minute since we've been here, huh?

Sigrid: I'm just glad we found this place. All thanks to you of course.

Anya: Well I know some things about wedding planning. Of course I have to use my learned skills to help my sister! Thank goodness you have me too, Robin would be so lost trying to do any of this stuff.

Sigrid: I'll admit he's been a bit naive to this whole wedding planning thing. It's nice to have your help. I just hope everything is coming along inside.

Anya: Well there's only one way to find out! After you, bride-to-be!

Anya and Sigrid make their way inside, taking a good look at the reception space which is looking very nice as things are being set up for the big day.

Anya: Another wedding happened here just yesterday so they're still switching things out, but this is looking very nice so far!

Sigrid: I agree! These vibes are perfect. Looks like everything is coming along in here. Can't wait to see the final result.

They take a good look around the reception space, making notes about the room and anything they may need to follow up on to make sure everything's perfect for the big day. Then, as they finish up they make their way to the ceremony room.

Anya: Wow...

Sigrid: Tell me about it...

Anya: I know we picked out this space for this reason, but... wow. This is beautiful.

Sigrid: It's perfect.

Anya: Is it starting to feel real?

Sigrid: It is... felt like this day would never come, to be honest. When I got pregnant with the twins, it felt like my life was being written for me and I was just having to go along for the ride. I love being a mom, but it doesn't mean it's been easy. But finally, something that I've really wanted for myself is coming true.

Anya: It is. You're finally marrying my blockhead brother.

Anya can't help but giggle to herself a little, watching as Sigrid admires the space as if she's not even there anymore. Sigrid imagines her future with Robin and their family, and her heart swells. Through it all, she knows that life has been leading her to this moment. Things seem brighter, and Sigrid feels at peace, albeit also a little flirty thinking about her love.

After finishing up at the venue, the two head to the next-door karaoke bar for a simple cocktail, Anya's treat. It allows them time to unwind, go over wedding plans, and bond deeper.

Anya: ...Trust me, married life has its ups and downs, but it's also so lovely. And you and Robin have literally the most perfect love story in the world, like, nauseatingly cute, and he's head-over-heels for you, so I'm sure things will be fine.

Sigrid: How did you know Haru was for you?

Anya: It was difficult. I really didn't know for a long time. I was involved with him and another guy for a while, but not really committed strongly to either of them. Then I got pregnant with Colt, and all of a sudden our paths were permanently intertwined. He was ready to go all in, but I felt the pressure coming in from all sides, and honestly, I choked. I had Colt, but I immediately gave him to Haru and said I couldn't be the mother he needed at that time. I didn't even really start getting to know my own son until he was a child. Still, through it all Haru always expressed his desire to be with me and to bring our family together under one roof. I was so focused on my career, and a kid and husband threatened to upend everything I worked towards.

Sigrid: But...?

Anya smiles softly, recalling her past.

Anya: But... over time... I realized I was running from my own destiny. I was afraid of not living up to the expectations I put on myself. That I wouldn't be a good mother like mine was to me. That I had failed her by following in her footsteps in becoming a teen mom. That I had completely screwed up my life simply because I was angry at the universe that it had taken her from me. In reality, being a mom, wife, and successful actress were all things I was made to be together.

Sigrid: I know what it's like to feel lost after the loss of a parent. I lost both of mine way too soon. Not to mention two of my siblings. It's always felt like life was happening to me, and I wondered if things would ever go the way I want them to. Getting pregnant so soon was not the plan, but the moment Robin expressed such excitement about being a dad, and when we saw them on that screen for the first time, I knew this was my path, as rocky as it may be.

Anya: Robin loves you. He has since the first time he met you all those years ago when he was just a dorky teenager. And now he's a dorky man.

Both Sigrid and Anya laugh.

Anya: No, but seriously, my brother is wonderful. He's a simple guy, and all he's wanted in life is to create the family Armani lost too soon. He idolizes his dad, and for good reason. He was amazing. He even became the dad I needed. After all, it was him that walked me down the aisle. My father came and gave some general congrats, but that was it. He was never there for me. Armani filled that void as best as he could, and he tried to fill it when that void grew stronger after my mom died. It wasn't always enough, but that's a lot to put on one sim. Despite this, he did his very best, and Robin has always intended to do the very same. I know my brother is a bit naive at times and maybe a bit too idealistic, but his passion for dreaming is what led him to you, and it's led both of you to this moment.

Sigrid: I love Robin. I do. I love our family. I love that you all have let me into your lives so warmly.

Anya: You're my sister. I'm always going to be here for you, and so will everyone else. We want the best for both of you.

Sigrid sighs.

Sigrid: Guess this is really what my life has always been leading up to.

Anya: Well, cheers to life taking us right where we need to be.

Sigrid smiles.

Sigrid: Cheers to that.

Ugh where to begin.....

First of all, watching the end where it was previewing next week's episode; why must Lucas always ask Elizabeth if she trust him? It's so annoying. She agreed to marry you I would hope she would.

Second, I'm glad Henry stepped up and suggested that Elizabeth really look in and examine why she was truly upset. Henry sees it so, I think it's only a matter of time before the town does too. You can't hide anything in Hope Valley. Was it truly over Nathan? Was it just bringing up Jack and how it all ended? Was it a little bit of both? I guess only time will tell. I definitely don't think she has fully grieved or moved on from Jack. Will she break up with Lucas & go towards Nathan, I just don't know. Personally, I would like to see it yes, will it happen probably not but, you truly never know.

I know we are getting a next season but, personally I'm not sure how much longer this show has in it. It's just hard after 10 seasons, will be 11; it's hard to just not watch. I really am beginning to wonder what the end game of WCTH is; and many more seasons they truly do see continuing. I mean would everyone stay in Hope Valley and live the "happily ever after" ending? Would the town just not survive and everyone would need to move to the bigger city? The possibilities are endless but, it's not gonna last forever and I just curious from a "big picture" type of thing what you kind of see for the future of WCTH is.

The trust me thing is about his run for office to save the town. That's his big plan that'll surely work somehow.

The Henry stuff was fantastic! I love that he finally got to be the one to give someone advice instead of everyone always trying to nudge him in a certain direction. I honestly couldn't believe they went so full-on with Henry noticing it and going to her about it when he could've just let her deal with it herself since it's not his business. Henry cares about Elizabeth and I felt like that was him really looking out for her like she's done for him. That seemed like a big moment that might get put on the backburner now with so much else going on. I'm kind of thinking we're in for a frustrating cliff hanger this season.

I definitely don't think Elizabeth has fully grieved but, like we've been over before, why involve Nathan? She can grieve and work through whatever apprehensions or fears she has on her own. Or better yet talk them through with the man she chose to marry. She seems to forget he exists sometimes. She claimed that her feelings and fears with Nathan were about Jack years ago so now we're just gonna be back to that? She hasn't done any work on herself since then? If so, she needs to leave Nathan alone. She's making it so messy. She's uncomfortable with Allie getting so close to Jack but Allie's cool with everything. She's moved on. Elizabeth is the one making it a potential problem because of her unresolved feelings.

I'd obviously love to see Elizabeth come to her senses and get with Nathan but I'm so conflicted about the whole thing. Nathan deserves better. He deserves to be someone's first choice.

I honestly could see the show continuing for a lot longer. It's still doing well. Hallmark still seems really excited about it. I think it would just kind of continue as it is. We've never really gotten to see Elizabeth as a wife with a family so that would presumably be season 12 and beyond. She'd have some more babies I'm sure. I want to see Henry find love. Bill, too. I want to see Lee and Rosemary raise Goldie and maybe have more kids. There's a lot they could do with the characters that people would still stick around for. Yeah it's been on for a long time but there's still so much people want to see happen with these characters they're attached to, you know? More new people would be introduced. Maybe we'll follow Allie or Robert or Angela as they get older.

IT'S DONE

THE DUCKS

Critique is tomorrow but I got this thing done at like, 3AM today and everything's all dry now and I'm so happy to finally be making this post so I'm putting it up earlier than I normally do 😭😭

Assignment details below but warning, it's like an adventure log cause holy crap I have so much to say about this

The assignment was to make a structure that:

Had a mechanical function (minimum two)

Included at least one found object (i.e., something that was not provided by the instructor)

Included at least one carved element

...so there was a lot going on for this. I've never carved before, hence why I panick made those ducks a few weeks ago. They were a failsafe, juuuust in case I couldn't figure out the whole "carve a bird" thing in time. Luckily they weren't needed, though if I wasn't in such a hurry I might not have gotten this weird looking cut on my finger that likely won't fully heal :') (battle scars, so it's okay)

They really did take a long time to carve though. For frame of reference, it took about:

~6 hours of listening to people play Phasmophobia for ducky #1

Another 5-6 of listening to Majora's Mask gameplay for ducky #2

About 3-4 hours of various My House videos for the smallest ducky #3 (thanks again for the recommendation 🙏 I was running out of things to fill the silence to)

I'm glad I started them as early as I could, especially with the breaks needed to let my fingers heal because I'm bad w/ knives.

I speed learned how use a sewing machine (thanks mom for letting me borrow it); I didn't have to make the outfits but they're cute so I don't regret it lol. I put elastic or snaps on all of them so they're all removable... maybe I'll make more outfits for them in the future?

I counted my found object as some plexiglass I picked up somewhere, and it turns out, it's not really hard to cut it. Apparently it's not hard to cut real glass either but I wasn't allowed to use it 'cause it's easier to break. I kinda like the window, I wasn't sure about how it'd look at first but I really think it makes it look more polished :D

The red handle was a last minute addition. I quite literally used a spare piece of wood at 1AM this morning and speed carved+painted it. Since it didn't have any major grooves like the ducks, I could saw it down close to the size it needed to be and then carve/sand off the edges to round it off, so I got it done in about an hour and a half. I'm glad I did because I accidently painted the frame a little took dark and needed something to help tie it in a little better. It's still dark, but it sticks out slightly less now??? I hope haha.

I had a lot less trouble using the power tools on campus this time around. That's not saying much because I never really had much trouble in the first place but still, they're nowhere nearly as intimidating as they look.

All in all it was a lot of fun, and I can't wait 'til it's graded cause I'm really excited to bring it home for good :D

Hope that this isn't too much trouble ask!

I'm a 5'0 Mexican girl with short puffy dark brown hair (length is above my shoulder), I have an apple shape body, tan skin and dark brown eyes (I also wear glasses).

(From what my friends told me) I'm funny, brutally honest, sarcastic, mysterious, and give great advice

I can get overprotective despite my small height and will cuss at anyone who try to do anything to my friends, I also like to wear short length dress with a little bit of make-up but mostly just wear comfortable clothes.

I love drawing and when asked by someone who I care about, I will draw for them. My skin is also sensitive so touching can get uncomfortable when being touched for only a minute or two.

I also like daydreaming so when seeing me, I look like I'm in some sort of daze like state but can snapped out of it if someone calls my name.

I'm very curious too and wouldn't be really disgusted by anything when telling me a fact about anything and could find anything interesting.

I also like telling stories about my life and get excited when people ask me about myself since I have so much to share and will gladly tell people who I trust only.

George Weasley was always the more subdued twin. It was always Fred pulling the large stunts while George tended to be the planner. Fred was always the heartthrob, despite looking the exact same. And that was fine, since George only has his eyes for you.

You're a muggle. As far as you know, there's no such thing as wizards. However, the Weasley family had always been very accustomed to the muggle world. So, you run into the twins at the mall. They're just by themselves, while you're with a few friends (although you're sadly a fifth wheel). You're clothes shopping, and you immediately catch George's eye.

Fred was always the one to fall hard and fast over anyone, but George was more reserved with his feelings. And yet, there was something about you. He found you to be attractive, and Fred instantly could tell. George wanted nothing more than to let out go - sweater shopping was more of a priority - even though you looked cute and like you had spunk.

So, Fred took initiative. He pulled his brother open and forced George to introduce him to you. Fred adorned a knowing look, but George shrugged it off, being his natural friendly self. You reciprocate that friendliness, and George likes your spunk.

By the end of the short conversation, and your friends rejoin you, you invite them to join them while shopping. Of course, they agree. Fred was glad George was finally breaking out of his romance shell a little.

Even with one afternoon, George was smitten. It wasn't like him. He always thought he would fall for another wizard since somehow that was wizard culture, yet here he was, enamored with a stranger he just met.

But, life goes on. You two keep in touch via normal muggle post cards, and when school starts again, he gets his mother to send it as much as he could. Even just from the letters and occasional photos that were exchanged, he adored your personality. You were open and caring and funny. You were the type of person he liked to surround himself with, and similar to him, but not too much so. He especially adored it when you mailed him your drawings.

Time passes, and George finds himself wanting more. As much as he loved talking via letters, - there was something romantic about the notion - he wanted more. And although he knows you aren't the most physically affectionate, he wants to hold your hand, if only once. He wants to talk in person. He wants to go on cute dates.

And the following summer break was the perfect opportunity to finally create some progress in the relationship. That is, until he discovers a very obvious hitch in his love life.

You had a significant other that he'd only ever heard referred to as a friend. And George was absolutely heartbroken. More so angry than anything. You two were meant to be. It was fate you two had met. And yet, you were dawdling and ignoring his obvious crush.

George doesn't show his dismay to you, of course. Instead, he cherishes the time you two spend together. If anything, the betrayal fuels him further to spend as much time as possible in order to prevent you from hanging out with the stand-in. And as much as he just wants to kiss you every time you sweetly compliment you, he restrains. As he's always done, he suffices from hinting at his affections.

Fred notices. He notices the shifts in his behavior, from how he was more negative and aggravated.Always spaced out. Created a seeming alter for every letter and photo and drawing. George was becoming more and more obsessive. Fred is only slightly concerned, though, interpreting it as the average teenage brooding-jealousy combo.

You don't notice these red flags. As far as you're concerned, George is even more perfect than before. He's more energetic and affectionate, more understanding and kind. You two were always together, but you didn't see a problem with it. At some point, George would've definitely informed you about the wizard world, which would've brought you two closer than ever before.

George sees how you feel about him. You just haven't questioned it. George has completely isolated you from your significant other. He's met your parents, just as you've met his. You two hang out one-on-one constantly, so it might as well already be considered dates. And yet, you had yet to put the label on it.

All of a sudden, though, the communication between you and your significant other ceases immediately. They didn't even break up with you in person. It would've been heartbreaking, but George was with you already. That made you start thinking about how you felt about him. How close you were, far closer you'd ever been with your ex. You think you like him. You :

Confess your feelings : You decided it. you liked George Weasley, wizard extraordinaire. It took less courage than you thought, because a part of you had always known he liked you. Of course, GHeorge reciprocated. You two kiss, and it's heavenly. From there, things are oddly smooth.

As weird as it is the George has some sort of secret shrine of you, that's fine. As peculiar as it is the abruptness of the former break-up, it's fine. Everyone has flaws, even though George seemingly had none. George was the perfect boyfriend, from his make-shift gifts to his dedication.

It's easy for George to convince you to move in with him near his new shop in the wizard world now that you're both graduated. As much as you wanted to work, George insisted that the wizard world was as good as heaven. That everything would be perfect. And it was, even if George was rather restricting as to what could be explored. George was great at masking his rather vile flaws, and because of this, you always wondered what was missing in the relationship - other tha your things.

Push him away : You just got out of a relationship. It would be wrong to move on right away. Besides, George was always a friend. As far as you were concerned, he harbored no such feelings for you. So, in order to get over the seemingly momentary crush on the red head, you come up with more excuses to do your own thing. You insist you're too busy for weekly hangouts. You avoid some of his letters the he sends due to your coldness.

George is baffled. He'd done everything right. He kept his scarier flaws hidden, he took care of the significant other, and he's dedicated over a year to winning your affections. At first, he blamed it on other people. But he knew it was you making the decisions to avoid him. And that hurt.

The Weasley family notices instantly how much this has taken a toll. All that negativity and anger he exhibited before was multiplied tenfold. Instead of harmless, playful pranks with his twins, he turns to rather hurtful, violent solo jobs. Nobody was safe from his wrath, as it was the only way to truly cope.

But he decides to take your fate together into his own hands. He brews up a love potion. From there, it was easy. He knew you felt bad for ignoring him. It didn't take much pleading to get you to meet up with him. He offered the potion, which he claims is a wizard juice - it technically is - and you trust him, so you drink it.

And just like that, all those feelings you harbored bubbled over the surface. It was like you were a completely new person. And that new person was George's and George's alone.

Hi! Just had a random thing pop into my brain and you were the first person I thought of who might be able to help me answer :)

I read a fair amount of books but lately I’ve come to the realisation that (mainly due to health reasons) that I don’t remember much about the book that I’ve been reading, doesn’t matter if I last finished a chapter five minutes ago I couldn’t tell you what I had read. I find that this reflects in how I leave ratings on Goodreads because unless I didn’t finish it or truly hated it I give everything four or five stars because I don’t remember much from it.

That was mostly just rambling 😅 what I’m here to ask is if you have any advice on things that I could track/make note of whilst I’m reading? So that that way I’m more connected with what I’m reading and not just going through the motions and forgetting everything about the book.

I think this makes sense?

Hi!! I'm so glad you thought of me, I'll do my best to help you 🌼

I think taking notes while you read is a process you have to get used to – but this also means you'll get better with time, learning more about what you like in a book and what helps fetch back a particular memory. I'd suggest to reserve a notebook just for your book tracking, so that it's easier to revise, be it physical or digital. Start with the objective basics:

characters' names and particular traits: the protagonist's best friend briefly mentions that he had a complicated relationship with his mother when he was younger? Write that down: if the book is well written, it'll help you catch ulterior references as the story goes on, or explain some of his actions; if it isn't, it will make it easier to notice discrepancies in character arcs;

relationships: is that character a friend, or just an acquaintance of the protagonist? How does the relationship progress, do you notice subtle changes in the way they speak to each other? What could that mean to how the relationship will progress in the future? Writing down your hypothesis could help you remember these things even without having to look them up again. Try creating a timeline, if it suits you;

places, time, events, plot twists: this is self explanatory, but I'll try to expand on it. I personally often have a hard time remembering what time of the day the action is taking place at, which can change things a lot; writing that down could help you pick the story back up from where you left it, without having to go back, because sometimes you think mc is extremely clumsy, when the poor folk is running in 3am pitch black darkness, and you can't really blame them for tripping a few times. Maybe this is just me, but I hope you got the concept – if there's something you find important that you probably won't remember, like a vague mention of some background character dining that indicates it's almost nighttime, write it down.

Now, since you've also mentioned reviewing your books, I think it would help to write down your impressions and emotions as you go:

pace, flow, and language: has Chapter 3 finally picked up the pace? Was that long descriptive paragraph enjoyable, or unnecessary? Are the sentences too complex or long? Or are they so short you're having a hard time getting into the story?

empathy: is the protagonist likeable, can you sympathize with them? If not, is it because they're the kind of person you wouldn't hang out with, or because their actions and emotions aren't natural and human (if they're human) enough? Are their choices consistent? If not, do you think they're well-constructed flaws, or plot holes?

Wasn't sure about what you needed to hear, so I kind of threw a lot into the mix. I hope it was clear and exhaustive enough, let me know if it helped! ✨

Hi there namelessbaron! Happy New Year! I hope you and everyone else reading has a safe and lovely new year as well One last ask for 2022. I'm keeping this spoiler free, but I can definitely elaborate in a more spoilery context in future asks if we want to start talking about specific plot beats because I do have a lot of thoughts on those it just would make this ask way too long and exceed the character limit for asks. Honestly, I liked it. Not my new favorite, I actually still have SwSh as my favorite Switch Pokemon game but it's still good.

I'm not going to go too much into the whole graphics/glitch thing since that has been done to death. I did experience quite a few glitches and they were annoying but didn't make the game unplayable by any means. That being said I do wish TPCi could give more time between games. There is a serious discussion to be had about the crunch Gamefreak is under and how that's not healthy at all. Especially if they want to continue the open-world format. Okay as for the game itself, the highlight was definitely the freedom you had between traversing Paldea and how you tackled the narrative. It makes for endless storytelling potential on the OC/fanfic/fanart side of things but also gives a lot of replay value as you can switch up how you approach things. Having multiple stories with their own conclusion coalescing into one final story at the end was a huge step in the right direction and I'd love to see Gamefreak take that further. I will say though SV falls into the same trap that has plagued the series for generations in that it's not always able to properly balance the stories among the major characters. Nemona's story definitely got the short end of the stick compared to Penny and Arven's and so I was definitely not a fan of the Victory Road story. Don't get me wrong, I don't think every story has to be super heavy and I get where they were likely trying to make the Victory Road story a breather compared to some of the stuff we see in The Path of Legends and Starfall Street, but I think they could've made it more meaningful than what we got. Of the storylines, I think Starfall Street was definitely my favorite as it provided the most challenge gameplay-wise but also I think I just really connected to the characters in that story and I found their struggles extremely relatable. The Path of Legends brought a lot of worldbuilding I enjoyed (and confirmed some of my headcanons as canon) and The Way Home certainly threw some more twists and worldbuilding I was not expecting to see in Pokemon but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The cast of SV was solid overall with mostly likable characters. I really appreciated the ability to get to know most of the characters on a deeper level through side stories something we haven't seen consistently in previous generations. It was something I was really wishing to see in the SwSh DLC and I'm glad at least the Paldean Cast got it. The main characters of Team Star overall are my faves along with Director Clavell, Ryme, Grusha, Salvatore, and Larry. There are definitely characters I think (or I should say hope) get more exposure in the likely DLC such as Geeta, Nemona, Raifort, and Director Clavell. I will say I'm admittedly very torn on how Koraidon/Miraidon were handled in the story. It's like on the one hand I'm glad they're really experimenting with how the box legendaries are being used, but on the other hand, I'm not sure how I feel about them being used mainly as mounts for the majority of the story. The region itself was stunning. I haven't gotten a chance to explore every inch just yet and I'll be more thorough on my Cactusverse run but I definitely enjoyed going through the different biomes and seeing the different cities and spending my money at all of the different restaurants. The new Pokemon introduced were like any region, a mixed bag but I definitely think Scarlet won out with the version exclusives with the sole exception Ceruledge. One of the few true downsides was the character customization. I found it to be a bit of a downgrade compared to previous generations. Mainly because the school uniform really hampers the style potential. The other major downside for me was the removal of set battle mode. I just felt like that was a rather harmless feature that could've always remained an option and removing it removes some level of freedom for the player.

I mean again overall I think it's a very solid entry into the series and a very solid step in the right direction. It's probably my fifth favorite region.

But it also creates that perfect harmony between us and like you’re also the sweetest human I have ever met so I have no idea how this duality exists within you but it does and love it. You also have the patience of a saint. You’ve had an incredibly rough yeah in more ways than anyone would know, but I love you and I’ve got you and you will be okay and I am with you always both as a sounding board and the anti-sounding board to drive you nuts. Speaking of nuts you cook all my favorite foods even though I have the palate of a toddler and are highly skilled at it — one of us has to be. Anyone who can keep giant dinosaur orchids alive the way that you do must be special as well because anything with clips and a harness I just what. You’re so grounded and put things into perspective better than anyone. You also have the best read I’ve ever encountered. How much easier would life be if I just listened to you the first time and stopped being annoying? My next tattoo should be “listen to Abigail.” Maybe I’ll get that before Dix’s, but I think she’ll have something to say about that. I’m so glad that, though it took the long way to get there, you finally pursued photography and there’s a touch of irony that you edit in PS for a living when the things your unbelievably creative mind cooks up are second to none and often first of their kind. You’re so creative it’s literally been in you all your life it’s how you earn your living it’s in all you do and it makes me so sad when you don’t see it because you’re such an unbelievably talented individual? I’m so proud of you. I love that my best friend and my person and my partner for life meshes with me not only personally outside of art, but also through art? Not many couples actually blend together creatively the way that we do?
