i just think. that if you're only comfortable shipping two men. by imagining one of them as a woman. then you need to take a step back and maybe do something about your homophobia.

he is a man, the two of them are gay (well Gladio is bi and Ignis is demiace, but), they are both men, it is a gay relationship

one of them isn't supposed to be "the woman", that's a gross (and harmful) stereotype!

plus, mom jokes aside, Ignis definitely dresses flamboyantly--but like a gay man, not like a woman!

why do you need to turn him into a woman?! that's the only way you can imagine him with Gladio?! you're not comfortable imagining two men in an intimate relationship, so you have to picture one as a woman?! that's just homophobia!

why do people draw Ignis so much smaller than he is and make him look like a tiny teenager when his glasses are off

why do people characterize him as if he were the 'woman' in the relationship when he is a man

what is the appeal of shipping two characters if you're knowingly portraying them incorrectly and with a dynamic that doesn't fit them

at that point just make OCs

i had such high hopes, but it's so bad

i liked this person's work because their first comic i read, Gladnis wasn't an established relationship, and the awkwardness and resulting tenderness of the circumstances was cute

but now i'm reading another one of theirs, where Gladnis IS an established relationship, and they are both acting (and looking!) so out of character, it's just completely unappealing

i love my flustered, awkward Japanese Ignis

i DON'T like seeing him portrayed as small and weak and vulnerable, while Gladio repeatedly tries to initiate sex with him so he can shy away

it's gross

Gladio is way more mature than that, has way more respect for Ignis than that, and if something like that ever WERE to somehow happen, Ignis would tell him to fuck off and that would be the end of it

it's just unreal to me that some people actually like this ship for this reason, and not for the extremely emotional aspects of it

they just want to exaggerate the size difference so they can make Ignis into a twink and call it a day
