🌙you and astarion share playful banter. a lot. naturally, he’s always the winner of your little battles of wits- or so he claims- but you both leave each other laughing by the end of your back and forth teasing. it’s another way for you two to flirt with each other apart from the more traditional ways.

🌙of course, your relationship doesn’t involve sexual intimacy for however long of a time, if ever, astarion needs. but that doesn’t mean you two don’t enjoy holding each other close. after the first hug you two shared, you become able to coax him into your arms time and time again late at night when the rest of your companions are sleep (because how dare they see him get all sappy and soft, of course), engulfing your gentle lover in the warmth his body lacks. neither of you need to speak, most of the time preferring to enjoy each other’s company quietly, listening to whatever idle ambience is stirring about beyond your tent’s walls- whether that be rustling bushes in a breeze, the rushing water of river or cave, or the hoot of an owl.

🌙it’s these moments that ground you both. those quiet ones, where nothing is said but you both hear what the other is trying to anyway. astarion is both an elf and a vampire, his body doesn’t need to sleep, but he still finds his eyelids growing heavy alongside yours as you two remain tangled together, his head resting against your chest as your fingers sleepily stroke those springy cotton curls atop his head. it’s only from gale’s babbling one day that astarion learns that people feel sleepy around those they feel safe around, and that thought crosses his mind a lot whenever he gazes at you from across camp.

🌙and when he’s not thinking of these sappy, heart wrenching thoughts, he’s (im)patiently waiting for you to forget whomever you are oh so busy with and come pay attention to him- especially if it’s gale. sorry gale.

🌙his eyes are almost always searching for you, too. and yours for him, as well. whether it’s him peering up from his book just to see you stride into camp after another one of your silly little heroic side quests (or murder sprees, if you’re dark urge), or in the midst of battle ensuring you’re not caught in the cross fire- and if you are, you best bet this rogue is sweeping in to give you back up. he does remember you once told him that if he had your back, you’d have his, too. astarion learned this meant a lot more than just protecting each other from enemies as his relationship with you progressed, finding that you two could lean on each other in emotional times of back-up, too. being so vulnerable started off difficult with him, but he reminds himself that you mean safety, you mean love, and you mean happiness to him- and these reminders help him show you those pieces of him he thought cazador buried long ago.

🌙we all know astarion is not shy when it comes to his words, but once you two become something real this act of his is broken down noticeably. don’t expect him to not crack a dirty joke, though, but do notice how- since having you at his side- he has less of a tendency to flaunt himself like a preening peacock, he becomes more comfortable with casual touching and non-sexual intimacy like mentioned before, and you even are able to render him speechless time to time with your kind, honest words to him.

🌙the kisses you two share are gentle and slow. kisses on the knuckles, wrists, cheeks, and nose before either one of you reach the other’s lips. they never last long, not long enough to tempt either one of you into something more, but they’re more than enough. your little butterfly kisses seem to settle themselves in your chests and beat their wings alongside your heart- and in astarion’s case, they beat in place of his.

🌙you two become nearly inseparable. while you were close when your relationship was just a friendship, now that it has evolved into something new, rare, and hell of a lot foreign you both can’t seem to get enough of each other. more often than not, when one of you is going out for some task, the other is close behind (and only the partner with the fanged teeth is dramatically complaining about having to go). as well, you notice that astarion begins to set up his tent closer to yours as your camp begins to change locations the closer to baldur’s gate the lot of you gets.

🪷his tail subconsciously finds any available limb of yours- preferably coiling itself around your thigh, where it’s not noticeable enough to any who spares a meaningless glance in your direction but evident enough that someone properly looking at you would surely see. he would tell you it’s simply to give a message to wandering eyes, but that would be a half truth, as the subtle touch brings the prince turned king new blossoms within him- not the ones he bleeds, but rather those of comfort.

🪷 if you are a faerie, you most likely were apart of cardan’s friend group before he became a king, and knew him since longer. lounging about with him, locke, valerian, and nicasia, the young prince was disinterested in the rest and favoured bothering you. having to be around him so often made it difficult to ignore his clear attempts in getting under your skin, and so you eventually took it upon yourself to return the ‘favours’. and as you two spent more time together- time you both claimed you despised but in actuality you both sought it constantly- your relationship slowly grew into what it is now.

🪷 cardan would not love a hero, it is too late for such a character in his life. he does not need a person to peel away the walls he built around himself which have the words ‘the cruel prince’ carved into them. he’d rather love someone who instead saw what is beyond those walls, and take it selfishly for themself alone- he’d rather not share the sweeter sides of him with anyone but you, which means those walls must stay standing. he would fall in love with you for your ability to understand him, to not expect so much from the young prince, and he would fall in love not only with your virtues (as he would not love a villain, either) but also all your flaws that make you real.

🪷 perhaps that is why, if you are a human, he confuses his curiosity with disgust for you. humans, who live so imperfectly, so little, and yet so freely- creatures who do not look back before they jump because they do not have enough time to. people who live among the Folk and yet have no care for being good enough for them. and then cardan learned that he loved every single thing that made you human, every single thing about you that set you apart from those he was surrounded with- all equally as cruel and manipulative as him. every dimple, curve, scar, and line were all like breaths of fresh air for the forgotten prince.

🪷 either way, your love for each other crept up on both of you, until you both snapped and suddenly found your bodies entangled and lips interlocked as the world around you turned to a blur.

🪷 his kisses taste like fruity wine, only encouraging the dizziness you feel once he finally lets you escape his passionate embraces. and they have never been shy, and you have never cowered from them. he pulls you closer, you push closer, he kisses you hard, and you kiss him harder. you two challenge each other, relishing in each other’s playful competitiveness and bantering over who’s the better kisser.

🪷 for every important event cardan must hold as king of elfhame, you are there at his side. although the stubborn fae probably wouldn’t admit it, he wobbles beneath the heavy weight of the crown he didn’t even want, and still needs to learn to take these responsibilities seriously. you are his anchor, his partner in crime, the only second opinion he wants to hear- and also a good option for ruling in place of him when he slacks off.

🪷 if you are human, he tells you that you have somehow defied the laws of nature and glamoured him under your spell. he’s joking as usual, but there is really no other way he can explain the dizzying, storybook love he feels for you.

🪷 he will continue to bother you, tease you, and get under your skin even deep into your relationship. you learn that it stems from a desperate need to be seen and heard. you indulge him always, but not necessarily with snarky snips back all the time. whether you fight fire with fire or douse his with your water, the interactions are never serious and usually end in the two of you entangling your limbs together and lounging on some random velvet couch in an embrace.

I’m really liking the idea of Caine accidentally growing attached to john wick’s daughter after John dies. Maybe he starts to worry about her now that she’s without John? I know if I were her I’d probably relapse hard with my mental issues and blame myself for his death. Do you have any headcanons for what Caine would be like with Reader in this scenario?

I'm a little sad to see this blog mostly shares polls nowadays... I miss the AU talk and random chatter about ideas or headcanons, your opinions on things and the wip wednesdays I'm still happy to see your art in between all those polls. (before forgetting: you might have already lost but to me Train of Thought IS and WILL BE my favorite submas AU. No contest. Nope. Never.) But yeah, missing the old days here. Dearly. Verrrry much. Don't get this wrong, you're either probably still recovering, you're insanely busy or maybe even moved on... either way wishing you have fun with wherever tracks take you! I was happy to be on this blog in it's prime.

Hey Anon! I will be honest with you on this cause I do want to explain what has happened with this blog lately, and where I plan to go with it. (It’s not going anywhere, don’t worry!!)

There are a few reasons for the inactivity. Part of it is just me recovering from university work. I pushed myself way harder than I should have for way longer than I should have, and now I’m kinda trying to just recalibrate my brain and mental health. It’s really foggy and I struggle with concentration and comprehension a lot currently. (And this is also why I haven’t really answered asks, when I tried to answer Papa Ingo AU asks while like this, it really only led to getting confused and correctional asks in response, because I kept getting things wrong, and that made things really overwhelming.)

AND SECOND! Most of my free time right now is not being spent on this blog, because most of it is going into writing and editing. Concentration and comprehension issues are making it take a lot longer than I’d like it to right now, but I have a lot of content on the way!

- four new chapters of HFBE

- three chapters of IWLYB

- a five chapter, 25k+ word fic titled Rain Check

- another fic titled Entropy Syndrome

None of these are out yet because Entropy Syndrome’s narrative covers a concept that spans across all of these other fics and chapters, and it’s adjusted a lot of content that’s making me rewrite things several times over to ensure it’s properly written in and connected ^^;

And lastly, sadly a lot of it is just irrational anxiety. I stopped posting for a while for university, and anxiety makes me irrationally scared to start again because it always makes it hard to start back at something once I’ve stopped ^^; (I’m hoping dumping all these fics will alleviate this when I’m done with them though! Fic posting is what diminished my anxiety enough to start this blog in the first place!!)

BELIEVE ME I miss how this blog used to be as well, but my mentality is still sort of recovering from what I did to it for four years straight, and I can’t really force it to keep going more right now. It’s certainly a process, but I’m recovering!

Lots of stuff is coming soon! I have a few minutes drabbles on hand, I will attempt to start posting those while I keep working on these fics.

Kuroshitsuji Hot Take/Headcanon: Sebastian Is Sick of Ciel and This Contract

Hey! New blog, don’t mind me. I have some thoughts that I have to spill out otherwise I literally can’t sleep so here we go! Don’t take it too seriously lol I’m just talking.

Anywho, as the title says, I really think Sebastian is sick and tired of O!Ciel, this contract, the phantomhive drama, and all of the other shenanigans going on, especially after the 2CT reveal.

Sebastian is an egomaniac who believes in his own hype. He’s selfish to his core, self-serving, arrogant, hyper-narcissistic, pedantic, and overall unpleasant unless he has to be. Yana even said she finds him unappealing (and I don’t blame her!)

I love Sebastian, I promise. But, based on how much has happened over the course of less than 4 years and how many times he’s been caught off guard lately, he seems like the type that would HATE to be in this situation.

Look at him! When he got embarrassed by Blavat and that cult, what’d he do? He went to go mingle with some prostitutes. Yeah, he got some information from them but he was DEFINITELY looking for an ego boost.

Sebastian probably has a long list of grievances. To list a few:

1. He’s gonna have to fight Undertaker again most likely (which we all know he definitely DOESN’T wanna do).

2. The reapers are constantly on his ass.

3. Having to raise a child (technically two children if you count finny), and that child being the most spoiled, whiniest, greediest brat you ever did see. (and I say this with love)

4. And having to manage and constantly clean up the messes of his incompetent (day job wise) employees???

5. And how could I forget, they barely made any moves towards revenge! (Although I think this is more of a writing thing then a Ciel and Sebastian in universe thing. Plus I’m pretty sure the Queen did it or had something to do with it anyways, so…)

Like, he’s definitely over it, lol.

Not to mention, motherfucker is STAAAAAAARRRRVIIINGGG!!!! Didn’t William say he was, “half mad with hunger,” or something similar? Could you imagine basically having to fight to the death, jump through rings of fire, literally bend over backwards without a break for years on end JUST to eat, what you hope, is a gourmet pizza??? I’d be aghast!

Sebastian is an uppity bitch that likes to put on airs about being “elegant” and “classy” and “not like those other lowly demons who just eat whatever,” but he was just like that not too long ago himself. He probably, lowkey, still is to an extent. Yana didn’t call him a beast for nothing.

What I’m saying is, yeah, he’ll do the work to upmost perfection for his own personal pride because he’s an egomaniac. And a perfectionist who’s also a callous, narcissist that can never fail and never be wrong, but that doesn’t mean he’s having fun right now lol. I personally headcanon that while he enjoys being a butler to an extent, he secretly feels like he bit off waaaaaayyyy more than he meant to chew.

In his head, I bet Sebastian’s like, “I will literally do ANYTHING to go home at this point. There isn’t a day that goes by that I haven’t wanted to push that damn brat down a flight of, AT LEAST, ten staircases. I’m tired, I’m hungry, I’ve been humiliated by these…. LESSERS….way too many times, I have to tolerate a bunch of annoying humans and reapers, and don’t even get me STARTED on this……this….CHILD! MY GOD! He can’t bath, he doesn’t want to walk, he can’t dress himself or tie his own shoes. I’m surprised I don’t have to feed him myself half the time! I’ve been run ragged way past what’s necessary and-!“

Just, constantly. Everyday.

Lol I highly doubt he’d ever wanna do this shit again. Or would at least take an extended break afterwards.

TLDR: Sebastian is a tired and hungry egoistic demon who would just unceremoniously eat the child if he weren’t so damn prideful.

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell (review/rec)

Genre: Fantasy

My rating: 9/10

I feel like Tumblr is well aware of these books already, but I figured it was a solid start as any.

Carry On and its subsequent books was such a pleasant surprise! Years ago, I had read Fangirl, another book by Rowell. And I loved it! I also recommend that one, but there are no LGBTQ+ characters or themes from what I remember. In it, the main character, Cath, was writing a fanfic from her favorite book series from childhood, Simon Snow. Simon Snow evidently involved a teenage boy named Simon whom attended wizarding school. Oddly, some sort of event or disaster would happen at this school every year, with Simon and his friends (but mostly Simon), being at the center of it. Simon would appear to be some sort of “chosen one”. Sound familiar?

Carry On, is the fanfic that Cath was working on. From Fangirl, we already knew that it followed Simon through his last year at wizarding school and that Cath possibly made the best enemies to lovers story known to the world of fanfiction. I actually avoided reading Carry On for a long time because I usually really hate Harry Potter fics. Not to mention that I thought it was going to be a lot like other spin-off books that end up just being boring. Eventually, out of desperation to find more queer stories, I caved, and I found out that my assumptions were absolutely wrong. It turns out that Cath really did write an excellent enemies to lovers story!

The characters are extremely relatable, and over the series we get to see how these characters develop from teenagers to young adults. I love that we also get to see how they react emotionally to the things that have happened to them as well. Unlike a lot of Chosen-One stories where the main trio can just take on challenge after challenge and make it out seemingly unfazed, it feels like Carry On pulls back the curtain on what these sorts of characters would actually be dealing with after facing huge, life-altering events. I’d like to say more here, but I’m afraid that I will spoil them!

The world of Simon Snow is also pretty hilarious. Every once in a while, Rowell will seemingly poke fun at Harry Potter’s plot holes or stupid rules. These books had me laughing when it didn’t have me in Deep Introspection Mode. What with its tongue-twisters of spells taken from nursery rhymes and the main villain being named “The Insidious Humdrum”. That being said, while Carry On perhaps has its roots in Harry Potter, it is a complete story in its own right. Instead of being about the up-and-coming Chosen One and the chaos that ensues, Carry On is more-so about how people can and do move on and grow after their world was turned upside-down. Most Chosen-One stories, and really most young adult fiction books, end with high school, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate the Rowell gave Simon and his friends a future beyond just high school. I love how she shows how at every age there are new challenges to face. Life goes on beyond high school!

Of course, I don’t want to forget the reason that these books have made it onto my blog! Where is the gay content!? The main characters, Simon and Baz fall in love, and it’s adorable. Simon doesn’t realize at first that he may be into men, so he has to have a bit of self-discovery there. Meanwhile, Baz thinks he’s pining for a straight boy who could never fall in love with his enemy and rival and hates vampires, like him. It’s like if Malfoy and Harry were to fall in love, except Malfoy actually has some redeeming qualities and proves that he’s quite nice. I feel like this comparison still doesn’t do Simon and Baz justice though. Rowell also shows the awkwardness between first loves and how it may not always be smooth sailing throughout the books. In addition, I have a headcanon that Penelope, another one of the main characters, may be somewhere on the demiromantic and/or demisexual spectrum.

If your in the mood for laughing, some crying (or both at once), discussions about change, and the feeling that you just want to reach into the books to give a hug to people that don’t exist I highly recommend the Simon Snow trilogy.

Omg hi!! Welcome :) I’m still fairly new myself, I only started mashposting back in like… June? So I’m pretty fresh as well compared to some of the veterans around here haha. But anyway I’m so so happy that you like my blog and the vibes, though it does make me curious what caught your attention lol. I’m pretty chaotic and have posted a variety of things so it just made me wonder is all lol.

Here’s the answers to your ask!

3. Okay there’s a few continuity errors that bug me, but the one that frustrates me the most as a fic writer (specifically as someone who writes for Father Mulcahy a lot) is his name. Originally is John Patrick Mulcahy, then it’s Francis John, or John Francis, or whatever tf. By the end he goes by Francis and he says that’s what Kathy calls him… but he tells Gail to call him John. Some people he tells to call him John and others to call him Francis and it just makes no sense to me!! Writers please explain 😭

Another one that bugs me is Henry straight up forgetting he has a son at some point, but people forgetting about family members is a whole other issue. I could talk about that forever.

13. In the earlier seasons I loved Henry and Radar’s dynamic. Anything with Radar being psychic always made me laugh. But I also really loved whenever Hawkeye and Trapper/BJ see Frank and they just say “hi Frank” and he normally has some stupid response it just makes me giggle. BJs name is a good one, too.

In the fandom specifically, the running gag of “oh no, Hawkeye is flirting with the priest again” always gets me. It’s just too funny.

19. Okay this is so predictable of me I’m so sorry but Kathy Mulcahy. I Just… I have so many headcanons about this woman, my God. She and Mulcahy seem to have a good relationship and it’s the only positive familial relationship we hear him talk about ever, plus she just seems so cool!!

I’d also love to see Peg and especially baby Erin.

He himself is a more reserved figure who doesn’t wear his heart on his sleeve when meeting new people, also liking to piece together whether or not they are people he wants to involve in his life on a personal level. Your quiet patience is endearing, an admirable trait that is highly valued in Vulcans and to him. Your empathy is something his human side cannot help loving as well. Hello there! Welcome to my blog lmao- this is my very first roleplay blog, ever, and it’s my main oc to top it all off so I’m very excited but also very nervous cause idk what I’m doing-

I have had accounts before, so I’m not entirely new to the whole tumblr things. But I’m still learning unfortunately.

Admin is 17+, goes by Quinn, Nova, Quill, Scratch, Devil, or Toasty and prefers They/He/She/Xe pronouns.

I’m a genderfluid, Demi aroace, omnisexual. And I’m single as hell.

I’m neurodivergent, and get really excited easily, so I apologize for that if I start rambling about random topics if we talk in pms, get distracted, or messed up in grammar.

I don’t know A TON about specific fandoms, but I know more than an average fan or joe. But I apologize if I get some stuff wrong.

I have two twin kittens, a blue pit, and two geckos. They’re my babies. I also have an older brother and an older half sister.

When we first met, I was surprised by how open & friendly & genuinely chill you were as a person. Before we even started to interact, I'd see you on dash fluctuating with fluidity between long plot heavy threads & crack responses more light-hearted in nature, all the while, you still retained a strong hold on your muse's voice. That adaptability with a muses portrayal while also keeping it so... IC is incredibly hard to achieve, but already from what I have seen & know of her, she’s got such a memorable personality, she’s hard to forget. Right from the get go, I already knew you held a strong love for Darck, & a passion to make each interaction with whomever one that's fun & enjoyable for everyone involved.

Now actually getting to talk to you? It was a pleasant surprise to see how well we got along! You're an absolute treasure & I adore being able to shoot my headcanons & unhinged rambles off your way, & I adore being influenced & nudged with your own ideas & weigh ins on whatever thing I toss your way. You toss back just as feelsy stuff, heavy with angst, & even though I have yet to properly write with you with Chris, I already adore their dynamic.

I learned so much about your muse through our chattering, spitballing ideas & lore - & I am already down a hundred percent for the sibling / found family like bond we have kinda planned for them, & I love how much these two can relate to one another, how it can be both a source of comfort, relief & also tension because sometimes ( wink wonk ) goals might not align. But that’s the beauty of it! The clashing because of a shared understanding is also a super interesting concept I'm down to explore with Darck because goddd - they're too alike at times.

In any case, I've told you before but I want to make it well known here too, that I love seeing you on dash, love seeing messages from you on Disco, & I love your muse & all the lore behind her. I also love the late night gaming sessions we do - I really can't tell you enough how fun it is to play DBD with you & the others!

♥ What's the WORST thing that has happened to you rp wise?

Getting to know someone, who shall not be named, blocked me and my friends and then they make a post accusing us for numerous things that I didn’t even know we did, and then threatened all their mutuals that if they interacted with us they’d be blocked 😃

It’s all because of a ship they didn’t like. It was also my second day on that blog and I’ve legit have no idea what’s going on. It originated from this other mutual who is also shipping that ship and generally follows everyone, so when people saw that ship they started the whole witch hunt. I was sleeping at that time and when I woke up the dash turned to hell. Had to ask my friend what’s going on and turned out it was because of that ship (IM me for details!)

Apparently the same person also made an excel with all our urls + other people we don’t know and shared it around so everyone can block us. I only found out about that excel (and the whole story) through another mutual only like 6 months later and by that time I don’t care much anymore. You can call me whatever <inserts problematic label> and I’d say OK, you are absolutely right, have a nice day!

✧ Do you agree with reblog karma or is it forced interaction?

I don’t mind not practicing reblog karma as long as someone isn’t like, rbing 10 posts off my blog at once. But that’s different from feeling like you’re outright being used as a resource blog, which in case I would just sb. So far no one has rb anything much from me though, but that might be because I don’t rb much either 🙈 It also depends on the meme... When it’s just a headcanon/munday/opinion meme then there’s no reason not to send any. If it’s IC memes then it’s understandable that you might not find one of the options that is fitting for your muse and theirs, so its ok not to send any.

⚜ How many people do you not like?

A lot. 😭 And since I hold grudges I tend to remember them forever. I usually just avoid them though. If they’ve done something toxic or evil to other people then I’ll most likely have them blocked. But if I don’t like them for petty reasons that’s just a personal thing, I don’t block them, I simply don’t interact with them.

☀ What's your rp pet peeve?

I’m running out of pet peeves that I’m willing to put on the dash 😂 Okay this only happened to me twice here, but I find it annoying when you put so much of effort into writing a long reply and your rp partner does not appreciate it. It makes me not want to write longer replies anymore and just half-assed something until we’ve established something more solid so we can be sure both sides are invested.

When you’ve been mutuals for a long time and there’s no signs of interest or interaction. I understand that people can be busy but neither of us are mind readers. An occasional like on posts or an ask or an ooc post to show that interest is still present is nice sometimes.

☢ What fads/trends are you so over?

The karma is a b1tch trend. I feel like this typically occurs with villain muses. Your muse did something bad in canon so you’re supposed to feel guilty to mine now and feel sorry and has to immediately redeem yourself! I think that’s not fair in rp, especially when we have plotted nothing, my muse hasn’t done anything to yours yet but your muse is demanding retribution without giving mine a chance or, like, ask the mun for an opinion?

❀ What has made you completely lose your chill?

asjkdhas A lot of things. I feel like I can list them down forever. I don’t consider it losing my chill, but I can get carried away with topics I have a lot of opinions on, since I hardly write anything too personal on tumblr and/or anywhere else, so that’s not losing my chill but sometimes I forget that I’m talking to someone and keeps going on and on. I should fix that about myself 😭

My sister is in slytherin, and she once told me that in her spare time that she would grab a dictionary, like a full on Meriam Webster English dictionary, and open it to a random page and read it like a novel. Me, a Hufflepuff, could not for the life of me understand how that could be remotely enjoyable, and was always like “That’s such a Ravenclaw thing to do,” and was sure that Mr. Sorting Hat Quiz was wrong in the case of my sister.

However, after conversing with my Ravenclaw queen @allyjoe755 about it, she said, “….you know, that’s something that I can see Draco doing.” And honestly….yeah, me too

And I further realized that slytherins would do something like that for pure mindless amusement and entertainment, which she did. I can guarantee that she can’t remember a single definition of some benign word that started with the letter F on page 562 to properly tell you off with. A Ravenclaw, however, would, and would read a dictionary not for the sake of it, not even for research, but just to say they did. Other than that, they’d probably pick up a history book if they were bored.

A slytherin? Probably not.

TLDR: slytherins read dictionaries because they’re bored, Ravenclaw do it for bragging rights

authors note : hello ! im more then happy to participate as a new blog <3 and i’d be thrilled to write such a thing ! the idea of reckless and somewhat ‘ mean ‘ characters x oblivious and kind is always very cute , a ton of fun. i just did headcanons + a small drabble , hope that’s okay.

Zoro x Oblivious/Naive! Reader Headcanons

• It was almost annoying how sweet you were, so harmless... at least to the naked eye. The day Zoro saw you in action for the first time was a sight he’d never forget. It was odd, almost. Even when you were fighting, whacking marines down one by one.. you still had that innocent expression on your face. Why were you so nice? And the way you apologized to the men you were beating down was even weirder. It didn’t match the rapid swing of the weapon that stayed in clutch of your hands. What sort of aspiring pirate has manners like that!? Usopp was kind, yes, same with Chopper but you were on a whole new level. It was cute but it also bothered Zoro, to a degree.

• With your background, you were bound to confuse things and make wrong assumptions. Wether the way you reacted to Franky’s appearance in Water Seven, not seeing anything wrong with his lack of clothing, or the way you would try and drink the cups of sake Zoro would forget about, mistaking it for water. It was cute, a lot of the crew found your mishaps and almost childish esque knowledge to be cute, Sanji and Robin especially. Zoro found it to be the cutest thing, he felt his heart squeeze everytime you giggled in embarrassment or turned red as Nami had to educate you on certain things.

• Yet, Zoro did his best to hide his interest in you. What did the worlds best future swordsman need some country bumpkin for? Plus, it’s not like Zoro was a huge romantic in the first place. Alas, it was impossible to keep under wraps. The way you freely clung to your crew members, or even giving them small kisses on their cheeks, that prevented Zoro from being capable of hiding how flustered he’d get.

• At first, he assumed you were some sort of moron, having no problem with being touchy with people. But no! Apparently, it was a regular thing to do in your village, something strictly platonic. Zoro was both relieved but also disappointed. He was relieved due to how close you were with Sanji but he was a tad grumpy that your small pieces of affection didn’t mean anything.

• Zoro would eventually make an attempt to confess or at least suggest such feelings, mainly at the force of Nami and Usopp. He tried numerous times with the help of the pair, only to have you giggle and reply with a care free smile.

• Now, no way you were this stupid! You were twenty for christ’s sake... how could someone of that age, regardless of surroundings be oblivious to a deceleration of love?

• Even if your oblivious nature annoyed him to the core, he would do his best to keep such a clean mind for you. He’d scold Brook if he asked for your panties, and would certainly beat Sanji if he tried anything weird with you.

• The day you actually confess, Zoro won’t believe you. He’ll assume you just mean your heart yearns for him in a platonic way, in the most harsh jab of platonic kinship.

• When you two actually start going out, Zoro is left in crippling debt to the navigator. Nami definitely had to sit you down and explain in depth about how Zoro viewed you, about what he meant everything he said he ‘liked’ you. Zoro is more then grateful to have you as his s/o now but now his pockets ache with severe emptiness.

Zoro x Oblivious/Naive! Reader Oneshot

Zoro had finally finished working out for the evening, his muscles aching with fatigue. He was heading to the Sunny’s garden to fetch some tangerines out of the garden. Fruit was always refreshing, especially after a hard workout.

As he opened the gyms door, he spotted you. Zoro couldn’t help but feel his cheeks prickle with a pink colour, embracing the sight of you watering the flowers you and Robin had grown together. You looked so cute, so joyous. The way your eyes could light up so much over a mere flower bed made no sense to Zoro. Yet, he loved it. He loved the faces you made when you were happy, your round eyes curling upward and shut as you laughed.

Sadly, for Zoro, his moment of admiring you would be cut short by the two biggest perverts on the Sunny. Is there even a moment in the day where they take a break off such a repulsive hobby?

“Y/n-san, can i see your underpants?” Brook asked, as casual as ever. Him and Sanji were oogling at the sight of your legs. The question visibly confused you as you raised your brows, mouth dipping into a small o.

“Why, what for?” You asked, looking up at the two men as you let the watering can rest at your feet. You had often seen Nami beat the two up over this question, and even Robin didn’t hesitate to glare at the two, causing a sudden cold chill to fill the area. Were you not supposed to? “It represents a never ending love, Y/n-swan!” Sanji followed Brook’s statement with. He felt guilty for lying to you but was it truly a lie? You were only supposed to show your under clothing to the people you love!

An excited smile replaced your puzzled expression. “Really?” You stood up, “Is that why Franky shows his? Because he loves us?”

Brook and Sanji just nodded with overjoyed looks on their faces. Finally! They had a crew member who would do such a thing for them...

The soft expressions were immediately wiped away at the hands of Zoro. Zoro had kicked Brook’s head square off his shoulders, delivering his elbow to Sanji’s side in one swift move.

“Oi! Leave Y/n outta your perverted crap!” Zoro barked, crossing his arms as he snarled at the blonde and the skeleton. “Ya best leave them alone, unless you want Nami to find out.”

You couldn’t help but feel confused from the complicated scenario that unraveled before your eyes. Why was Zoro so furious? Why would Nami be upset over that, too?

“Thanks, Zoro! I think...” You murmured, unsure what to say. Were you supposed to be angry that he hurt your other friends? Or did he do the right thing...? You had no clue!

Zoro blushed at the sight of you, the way you gave him the most genuine smile a person could muster made his heart jack hammer into his ribs. You really had no clue how you made him feel, did you?

“It’s fine.. it’s what you’re supposed to do for the people you....love, anyway.” Zoro muttered, earning loud gasps from the men that remained on the ground. Yet, all your reaction carried was a bright smile.

“Really? I’m going to go hit Usopp, then! Nami always does!” You beamed proudly, as if picking up on some ‘wonderful’ advice from Zoro.

All Zoro did was sigh. How long would it take until you noticed him, until you noticed what he meant?
