1. I’m curious: when did you discover Rammstein?

I honestly can’t remember? I had an edgy metal phase during the last years of middle school/first years of high school (i was around 13, i also listened to one direction and i had to prove i was Not Like The Others—yes, i know. no need to comment on that.)

Then, i kinda forgot about metal (i guess because one direction split up?) and started listening to it occasionally and only thanks to one friend of mine who’s a metalhead herself. This year i picked it up again because of genuine personal interest and since I also started learning German, Rammstein was an obvious choice.

2. Tell me your story. How did you discover them?

...YouTube? I didn’t care much about them back then, I didn’t even know their names or faces—i just liked their sound, and the fact that they spoke German kept me from dwelling more into the lyrics (something i would otherwise do, even when i listened to one direction). I remember looking up the lyrics to Stirb nicht vor mir only because of the English parts, and finding out the meaning of Till’s parts made me fall in love with his writing. I didn’t know Pussy yet. Sweet summer child.

3. Favourite song?

Mutter. It’s got everything: music, lyrics, feels (i mean, they all do, some more than others but still). It always strikes a chord in me and i don’t even know why.

4. Least favourite song? Come on. I know you have one.

5. Favourite album?

Herzeleid is underrated. (Can’t choose a favourite)

6. Least favourite album?

The matchstick? I guess I had high hopes for it and got disappointed, or maybe expected something different and got thrown off? I mean, it’s not bad, i like it and i like that it’s different, they all are and i’d get bored too if i had to force myself to only play one genre of music (Lindemann docet), but I’m not sure I would have listened to it if it was not them. It just feels weak compared to the others and the ten years leap, but i’m sure the fandom has already discussed it when i wasn’t here so i don’t need to spend any more words on it.

7. Something that speaks to you in the deepest sense of the word: a lyric? A specific song?

Only angst speaks to me this way.

In light of recent events, seeing you all get heated over porn makes me think of fascist apologists who like to say “he also did good things” and i don’t know why i find the comparison hilarious.

9. Have you ever seen them live? Tell me what you felt.

I wish I had 😂

10. Do you play any instruments? If you do, can you play any song by them?

I can play the guitar (somewhat) and i tried playing some of their songs once, but it’s not the kind of music i can play on my own, without a band, and eventually got tired of trying. I can pull off a decent Diamant though.

I recomend you to read any book of Sebastian Haffner (x). Right now I’m reading Defying Hitler: A Memoir (Geschichte eines Deutschen. Die Erinnerungen 1914–1933), a book he writed in 1940 about the situation in Germany. And some things he explains about what he lived in Berlin are quite similar to what’s happening in Barcelona with secesionists.

Without even getting into the fact that Jess made her self insert and her half brother love interests (which she has a half/step brother) Ein was and always will be a bad antagonist.

Season 5: Emerald Secret

His only motivation was getting back at Aaron and being with Aphmau. So why use a wolf pack? Yes, it was to assert dominance in the area but if Ein was still friends with anyone from PDH he would have known where they all lived. The fact that the set up was in the mountains where Ein couldn’t have possibly know that Aaron would go has me very confused. Yes, he needed the emeralds but he could have easily just got them and left. He didn’t even bother to search the cabin for emeralds. I just think Jess could have made that whole season easier on herself if she had made this all happen where they lived, and it would have been a lot more interesting as well. Now, I didn’t watch all of season 5 so bare with me. But what the hell was that fight scene? Werewolves are supposed to be insanely strong right? So why was he overpowered? He even had spells and magic on his side. I’m not saying the ultima isn’t powerful but Ein could have put up a better fight. He overpowered a whole tribe in the mountains but couldn’t deal with Aaron? It just irks me how Jess made him out to be this insanely strong antagonist and yet he was defeated so easily.

Season 6: When Angels Fall

First of all I’d like to say what the actual fuck was this season Jessica. Second, I only watched a few episodes so this may not be accurate. If any of your favorite characters are werewolves you are not allowed to be an Ein apologist. He did all of them so wrong and to just deny their trauma like that is very fucked up. If Lucinda, Aphmau(Why?), Kawaii-Chan, Zane, Garroth, Aaron, Travis, Katelyn, or literally any character ever affected by Ein is your favorite character you again, have no right to be an Ein apologist.
