David “V” Lozano: (he/him) my canon V, a born-and-bred Heywood brawler who never really cared about being famous but god Jackie made it sound so good. He doesn’t think he can make a difference and he doesn’t really try to. It’s all about survival, and corps can wipe you out in the blink of an eye. He would’ve minded his damn business after the heist if it hadn’t been for Johnny.

He used to date Kerry but they broke up and now he's with Angel.

Sanctuary Zelenko: (they/them) Medtech washout, ex-Scav, currently a ripperdoc in Northside. They’re eccentric, they’re enigmatic, they’re downright creepy sometimes. Their friends tell people they’re harmless, but no one knows for sure. Best not to find out.

Joey Armas: (he/him) Scav who grew up homeless in Pacifica. His brother was killed in front of him by some trust fund kid testing out their new combat-grade implants--that’s probably what set him down the path that led to the cyberware and organ black market.

They're dating each other.

Alessia “Gogo” Day: (they/them) a Static of the Kessler nomad clan along with their three brothers and a sister. They’re David’s best friend, a bright and cheerful foil to his taciturn toughness. The city hasn’t beaten the optimism out of them yet, and they have a lot of friends in surprising places who’d like to keep it that way.

Brother "Bea" Calloway: (she/her) a statuesque netrunner that’s earned herself a spot in the Afterlife’s back booths. She’s highly focused and more than a little intimidating when she’s working, but in her personal life she tends to be quite demure in contrast.

Brother is dating Gogo's older brother Augie, and Gogo is dating River Ward.

technical information (& transparency)

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660S (I use a prebuilt that I bought from Costco in 2020, don't come at me)

I use AMM and the game's photomode to take my screenshots, along with this effect replacer mod and a modified version of this reshade preset. Facial expressions are mods by pinkydude or xbaebsae. Except for some tattoos and Sanctuary's eyes, I only use publicly available mods - anything you see in my screenshots, you can also grab for yourself. If you need help finding it, don't be afraid to ask!

I occasionally will edit screenshots after the fact, usually to add text or reduce clipping but not much else. If I really fucked up the lights on one shot in a story, I'll fiddle with the color levels to match it to the others as best I can. Most of the screenshots I post are dragged straight from the folder to tumblr.

I think sometimes VP seems intimidating or impossible because it can be hard to figure out how some people get their shots looking like custom Blender setups or near-photorealistic. The answer is usually hotsampling, high-end GPUs, Otiscam, 4k texture mods, and photo editing software - sometimes all together, sometimes not. Not to say that these things are cheats or somehow invalidate the artistry behind the VP, but it IS to say that anyone can do it if they learn the tools, and those tools aren't even required. I don't use any of them. That's why I'm including this section - hopefully I can demystify VP a little. An artist's tools are only part of how they make art: having the same tools as someone else doesn't mean you'll magically make art just like them, and not having the same tools as someone else doesn't mean you'll automatically be worse at making art. At the end of the day the only thing that matters is that you love your blorbos and you think they look good.

Kira Everhart is my Heart Fragment MC / OC. Down below is the information I’ve written down about them, though it’s unorganised because it was all just general information. I’ll write detailed information at a later date, this is just basic things. Appearance will be added later. Some of it may have poor grammar but that’s because I simply did not check it before hand, I’ll be updating this or making new posts when I add new information. This was done more as a stress relief since this original character is one of my current favourites. Praise my friend for convincing me to post this.

Up front is the basic information I’ve been writing down along the way. Eventually I’ll make this look neat but as of right now I’m just into dumping.

They’re Panromantic Demisexual, Demigirl who goes by They/She.

They enjoy Music and are interested in it, started a hobby of playing a guitar and writing tiny songs which they used to sing for their music classes, though while growing up they got embarrassed of it and slowly stopped, she still enjoys it but doesn’t engage in it as much anymore.

They enjoy Art and are interested in it, started as a hobby but they're slowly working their way up into making a job out of it since they decided that playing the guitar would be a hobby rather than something to pursue. Perhaps in the future she’ll do both at once, they don’t know yet.

They enjoy reading and have a small collection of various books going.

Originally they had purple-brown(puce colour) hair but started dyeing only the ends of it a peachy pink colour for a slight ombré effect a year ago before everything happened. Mostly dyed it for fun and out of the blue, just to have a slight difference, to have some sort of brightness in her life aside from her friends. Now they're letting it fade.

Originally paired with Kay, ship name was Mending Heart, but then I couldn’t help myself and Clive is added onto the list. Pairing with Kay or Clive has the same ship name, Mending heart, although maybe later I’ll add a difference cause I can’t think of anything for Clive and Kira atm. Which I pick and write or draw will be dependant on mood.

They did get bullied for sometime when they were younger, but it didn’t very last long when her friends noticed. Though it still caused damage, it’s one of the reasons they find difficulty making new friends.

Developed a small crush on Shannon when they were younger but eventually pushed those thoughts away and moved on, knowing and pondering that Shannon was most likely not going to be interested in a person like her, romantically at least. Mostly thought that due to growing up with not many queer figures around, even if there was a few she felt hesitant. Hence it took them ages to accept their identity and sexuality.

Originally she was upset when they found out that their father, Gray, treated Kay like his own kid more than her, but in the end they were glad he looked out and cared for Kay.

Wears a rose gold tinted ring on their thumb to mess around with mostly when stressed, it helps them focus and they find it pretty.

Has a matching bracelet with Shannon, although they don’t wear it they keep it in a little box in their room.

Has a small star and moon charm attached to their phone case.

They don’t have a stable music taste, it all depends on their mood. Most commonly listens to Heart Fragment though. The band got them through many hard times.

They never really looked for love, they always thought that looking for love was pointless and that they’d rather let it happen naturally than seek it out.

They stand at 5’8 and often wear platformed boots just for the fun of it, and to be taller.

For the longest time, they genuinely believed that Grey hated them or perhaps wished he didn’t have a kid. It started when she first was taken in by Grey, and that feeling stayed throughout the years even if it didn’t seem that bad now that she thought about it. During current times, their relationship with their father is much better and she started calling him ‘dad’ again.

Absolutely despises coconut water or coconut flavoured things. Will die on the inside when given anything coconut but to not hurt someone’s feelings they will try their best to eat or drink it.

Once during a thunderstorm, they ran to their friends house because they weren’t doing well even when told not to. Kira was soaked head to toe but she made it there and made sure her friend was fine.

They felt awful choosing who gets to live and which die. All three of the men deserve to live a life. Who is she to decide which one gets to live? It’s unfair. They try their best to save everyone.

I could sit for hours just making up different colour palettes, it's a hyperfixation of mine ^-^ I also like to write! I used to spend all my free time writing, and even won a short story competition held by my school when I was in 9th grade B] (I know, huuge achievement lmfao) I might post some writing here and there if inspiration strikes, but I'm not making any promises.

Nevermore to Grace the Night

hew hew finally publishing the first chap of my self-insert ghoul x dew x oc fanfic! i'll be cross-posting it (for now, until I get tired of it) on here and ao3!

I: The Piercing Radiant Moon

Hell wasn't all roiling lakes of lava and skies of fire; sometimes, it was an eerie void beyond the stars, hiding the worst creatures within.

One minute, a ghoul was adrift in that endless void, caught on that hairline edge between wakefulness and unconsciousness—the next, a tug. A feeling of being called elsewhere, topside, and a purple mist, glittering with galaxies, nebulae, and starlight surrounded them.

A minute later, they unceremoniously awakened in a small chamber, sitting naked and lit by candlelight in a summoning circle. That same mist surrounded them, the stars and vapor clinging to their skin, trying to sink back into their skin as if it belonged there.

Their eyes darted around, taking in their surroundings as their chest rose and fell rapidly. There was one human who caught their eye right off the bat, clad in blue robes and skeletal face paint, holding a large tome - probably the one who summoned them - and a taller, stocky ghoul beside him. Others were milling about in the shadows, but they didn’t catch the ghoul’s eye as inherently dangerous.

The human with the book moved toward the circle, crouching in front of it just outside the glowing chalk. He didn’t appear to have any…harmful intent. He even smiled, reaching a hand out towards them, like they were a feral animal he was trying to calm.

The ghoul hissed and quintessence crackled reflexively within them; lilac and indigo clouds of stardust and mist swirled in a volatile cloud around them. With their ears pinned flat against their head and their tail thrashing behind them, they did look feral.

The man backed up a little but didn’t appear frightened by their display- and in his place came the ghoul. He was beautiful, by any meaning of the word. Looked like a picture-perfect quintessence ghoul if they had to guess. Soft, deep purple-colored fuzzy skin, short black hair, and a couple of rings adorning his hands. He crouched down as well and sat in front of the ghoul, tail twitching in anticipation behind him.

“Hello, my name is Aether. You’ve been summoned to Earth by the leader of the Church of Satan. He’s the human who has the blue robes on; his name is Papa Emeritus the Fourth, but he prefers his ghouls just call him Copia.” Aether spoke to the new ghoul in their native tongue of Infernal, not wanting to catch them off guard by jumping to English immediately. His voice was soft and accented, yet tired, under it all.

They relaxed a bit, tail curling around their ankle as they tilted their head at Aether. “Why am I here? What purpose was my summoning for?”

Aether sighed, a slightly pained expression on his face as he looked back at Copia. The man shook his head and elicited a sigh from Aether.

“That explanation will come at…another time. Soon though, I promise. For now, you can know that your purpose is to serve Papa as a part of his group of ghouls in the band Ghost, performing his music around the world and spreading our Dark Lord’s message. But, I think other things are more important. Such as giving you a name.”

He stood up and held a hand out to the ghoul in a mirror image of the way Copia had, but they didn’t immediately take it. Their gaze flickered between his outstretched hand and his face, which was sympathetic and kind as he looked back at them. 

Am I really doing this?

They took his hand after a moment of consideration, standing on shaky legs, the stone floor scraping against their paws as they wobbled a little.

“Papa? What do you think this little one should be named?” Aether’s calloused hand dropped theirs once they were standing, and he crossed the room to Copia.

“Their skin and hair- you took notice of the patterns across them, yes? They look like constellations glowing against a twilight sky.” Copia’s eyes sparkled a little as he looked over the ghoul, seemingly taking in every single detail he could. He looked oddly excited to be around a newly summoned hellbeast.

Aether nodded his agreement, looking them over a few times. “I agree. They do look like constellations,” he acknowledged. “What about…Cygnus? It’s one of the most notable summertime constellations, and I think it fits them perfectly for the time.”

Copia tapped his chin and thought it over for a moment before finding the name appropriate. “Yes, I think that fits perfectly. Welcome to the Ministry, dear Cygnus.” He walked toward them, beaming as he opened his arms to them.

The ghoul - no, their name was Cygnus now, they had a name! - hesitated.  They cleared their throat, finding their voice after a moment, making themself remember to use English and not Infernal. This wasn’t the Pit anymore.

“Thank you, Papa. I… hope you made the right choice by summoning me,” Cygnus’s voice came out quieter than they even thought it would be. A cautious wave of quintessence hit them when Aether's tail brushed against their leg, allowing them to relax just a bit more. They tilted their head at him, but he just winked and looked away.

Copia clasped his hands together, still smiling at them. “I didn't choose, my ghoul; Our Dark Lord below chooses which ghouls to send to Earth. And He never makes a mistake choosing who to send topside.” 

“Now, Aether will take you down to the ghoul’s den and get you cleaned up, along with introducing you to the pack and showing you to your room,” he paused and smiled at Aether. “You’re in good hands, I promise. Don't hesitate to come find me if you ever need anything, eh?”

With that, Aether did exactly what Copia said. There were some clothes nearby in the summoning room, so he deftly helped them get dressed so they wouldn't be exposed on the walk to the den, and he apologized profusely for the way the clothes were ill-fitting.

As Aether led Cygnus through the Abbey, he made small talk, pointing out little things he thought were interesting as they passed them. “Oh! And that painting is of Papa Emeritus III, lovingly named Terzo. He came before Copia, and before Terzo were his brothers Secondo and Primo.”

His voice was wistful as they stopped to look up at the painting, eyes misty as he reminisced.

“He's the one who named me, fun fact. Some church members don't think us ghouls should have names, but he wanted to give us names to humanize us, just a little.” Aether looked back at Cygnus and elbowed them gently in the side “I think he woulda liked you. All the Emeritus brothers have had a soft spot for quintessence ghouls like us.”

Cygnus looked up at the painting as he spoke, their dusty violet cheeks turning a darker shade when he said the previous pope would have liked them.

“Can you tell me about them? The other brothers, I mean,” they added quickly. “They sound interesting…to me. I never heard much about the Emeritus line down in the Pit. Was more focused on surviving than socializing...”

The other ghoul's eyes lit up, his tail wagging slightly behind him. “I'd love to! Let's keep walking though, we're almost to the den and you're a little stinky, my dear. We can talk once I get you in the bath.”

Cygnus’s tail twitched as they made an unamused face, looking away from Aether and following close to his side as he led them to the den.

Eventually, the two came upon a large wooden door, words inscribed in gold lettering of Infernal in the middle. Ghoul Den. “Aaand here we are! Not much pizzazz on the outside, but I promise it will feel like home to you soon enough.” Aether pushed the door open and revealed a comfortable central room, with various couches and armchairs scattered about. The room showed obvious signs of being lived in, with bookshelves and tables covered in knick-knacks and personal belongings over the room and walls. Plus, a few hastily painted scorch marks and claw gouges, but they didn't question that. Ghouls will be ghouls.

On one of the couches sat a ghoulette, a cloud of white hair floating around her as she engrossed herself in something on her lap.

“Oh, you’re still up ‘Lus?” Aether asked as the two of them walked up to the couch. She perked up, hair floating through the air as she looked at the two ghouls who had entered. Cygnus slid behind Aether again, not sure if they wanted to be seen by another ghoul. Air ghouls could be two-faced beings of chaos in Hell.

“What’s it look like? Cirrus was helping Sunshine settle last I checked, but I have no idea if they’re awake. I wasn’t tired so..” she said as she gestured down to her lap, where an intricate cross-stitch project was underway.

Aether peered over her shoulder to look at her lap. “Well, I happen to have a surprise behind me~” he sing-songed, moving to the side to reveal a wide-eyed Cygnus to her. 

Cumulus’s face broke out in a grin, and she was up in an instant. “New ghoul! Finally, I was wondering what took that old man so long to summon you!” Cygnus was surprised by her enthusiasm and welcoming personality, Are they all like this? they thought.

The ghoulette took their hands in hers and squeezed them. “I’m Cumulus, one of the air ghouls here. We’ve all been dying to have our other ghoul home all day, and here you are! Sunshine will want to meet you soon, too, since you were summoned right after her,” the ghoulette babbled, so bubbly and excited for an air ghoul.

Aether waved a hand in front of Cumulus’s face to get her attention, “Cumulus, I know you're excited, but let's give them some space, yeah? You can talk more if you help me get them cleaned and properly dressed.”

Cumulus dropped Cygnus’s hands in an instant, a sheepish smile on her face as she rubbed the back of her neck. “My bad, my bad. I'm always excited about new summons. But! I will be happy to help get them cleaned up.”

I like her, Cygnus thought as Cumulus and Aether led them to the communal bathroom to clean the void from them. She’s not a predator like the ones I saw back home.

I wonder if they're all like this? It's so nice and warm and…so familiar.

This is like… a completely genuine question, so bare with me here.

One of my New Year’s resolutions is to stop feeling so hesitant about what I’m passionate about, and one of those things is my OCs. Bugsnax is one of those Once-in-a-Blue-Moon hyperfocuses where I actually make a LOT of OCs that aren’t just self-inserts.

Trouble is, I never talk about mine here. I mean, I do in small places like the occasional Discord server. My worst fear is posting something my followers have no interest in and making them feel obligated to keep following me, so whaddya guys think? Would you guys be okay if I started OC posting more often?

Oh my word there’s still an LL fandom on here????!!!! I’m rereading the books after a couple years, and was a bit saddened to find that most of the fandom fell away after the series had ended (bc I actually only read the books for the first time when the entire series had been published for years), but you post regularly and reblog regularly, so yay, it seems that people are still here!!! After years of loving these books and rereading them I’d love to finally join the fandom— any blogs you’d recommend I follow, ppl who are still into LL and active at least every couple months? (I’d say ‘acgive regularly’ if I was a normal-ish person, but I’m rarely online, so I don’t mind people who post sporadically too— in fact I almost prefer that, you get me?). Anyways ahhh tldr I’m so glad other people are still obsessing over these aliens lol, like super happy :D

Hey hey, welcome to the fandom!! Yeah we're still here, it kinda gets a bit quiet now and again with all of us being busy, but the fandom is still around and kicking!

Most LL fans as far as I'm aware post about the series on their main blogs that have frequent activity, so if you don't mind following people that post any kind for a while but have something LL related now and again, this would be your option. If you wanna chat them up about the series then I would say @kip-loric @biddybaboop @simpforsix are very active and occasionally share LL art or incorrect quotes or memes!

If you are looking for LL blogs, I would say @5s-missing-eye and @apocalx post on occasion, but they're super passionate about the characters and have tons of interesting aus and headcanons and book thoughts to read through!

Kip currently has a Gem AU with the Garde that you can ask them about if you happen to know about Steven Universe, and both them and apocalx have LL OCs who are Human Garde with some detailed backstories and personalities!

I usually just follow the lorien legacies tag and find stuff from there, and once in a blue moon you get a new person come out and post some art or incorrect quotes or fanfic ideas for a while! The tag updates sporadically as well, but sometimes in the year it gets pretty frequent (like now for example since it's break for some of us in school).

If you wanna hang out with the community and have a discord, we have a tumblr fandom server here and an instagram fandom server here!

I also wanna note that though LL posts aren't frequent year round, the fandom in general is happy to discuss the series and talk about our favorite characters or what we think about the books, and there's lots of us who got things we wanna say to someone. Ok probably cringe but my entire existence already is soooo-

Hopper and Julio (oc) headcannons cuz these bitches gay-

Despite Hopper being, well, Hopper he's actually a decent partner. He's not entirely used to being in a relationship as he's used to being alone and emotionally distant. He really tries though

Like sometimes, he'll try to bring Julio flowers (or those tiny flower buds that's down to their size) or food they can share. By Hopper's standards, that's a big deal for him as he'd never share food of all things with ANYONE

Julio on the other hand, is very lovey dovey and romantic, and adores even the smallest gestures from Hopper.

Because Julio is a singer, he dedicates some songs to Hopper ever so subtly. Mostly because they're in general love songs that don't go into specifics and they're all in Brazilian Portuguese, in which Hopper doesn't understand lol

Speaking of Julio singing, he's a big Bossa Nova fan and regularly sings in that genre. A lot of Julio's friends say he's stuck in the past because of this and the way he acts/dresses (i say dress very loosely because they dont wear clothes other than Julio's little hat) but Julio isn't bothered. There's certain things he liked about that time period and embraces it despite the time change

Hopper finds it somewhat charming actually but he'll take that to the grave

In fact he'll take many of his feelings/thoughts about Julio to the grave

Like how he loves the way Julio sings, and how it's enough to actually make him blush about it. And Julio's overal chipper attitude even if Hopper acts like it's mildly annoying or naive

And if he admits any of these to you, you're probably going to die in the next couple of seconds

Also, this storyline takes place after the events of the movie in as if he survived the bird attack. He made it out alive (barely) and fled and had to fend for himself for awhile until getting himself trapped in a transport truck while foraging that went all the way to Brazil where he first met Julio

Julio helped him navigate this strange new land of Rio de Janerio, with the added benefit of also somewhat protecting him from the many birds/parrots that are found there

You see, Julio is a violet-winged grasshopper, getting their name from their blue or violet wings they flash to warn predators that they're poisonous to eat, hence why Julio lives virtually worry free while Hopper flinches every time he hears a mere squawk of a parrot (and spoiler: he hears them a LOT)

Hopper is protective AS FUCK, and defensive. You give him or Julio a dirty look and he'll make your insides outsides

Julio is also very touchy, very often is seen hugging Hopper, kissing him, holding his hand, leaning against him, nuzzling up into him, etc etc. It makes Hopper feel all fuzzy and warm on the inside but almost nobody would be able to tell and he makes sure of it

The most you'd see from him is a small smile, but I can't stress the "small" enough

And once in a blue moon, Hopper is the one that shows affection first

I'll be honest when Hopper first felt feelings for Julio he deadass thought he was having a stroke and/or heart attack-

During holidays like Carnaval or New Years, you bet your ass Julio brings Hopper to those celebrations and they always have a great time together

That's what I've got so far. I plan to write a little more since my posting schedule is shit rn. I should post more fjskfnsnfkskfjsk

(This is from the POV of my TSAMS OC, Lauren. I’ll post her design later).

I felt numb.

And it’s not the good kind of numb either. It’s the shock you feel when someone tells you that the cancer is in stage 4 or you picked up the phone just to hear someone in your family died.

But wait. That’s just it. Someone DID die and that someone was Solar.

I was momentarily distracted from my dark thoughts by someone gently unplugging the charging cord from my neck port and tenderly brushing their fingers through my purple locks. They leaned down and I felt the slightest hint of a nuzzling motion.

“Oh…hi Frank…”

My voice came out as a whisper, hoarse from the past hours of crying. My cheeks were stained with dry tears and really…I just looked a mess.

I felt someone else stir in front of me and heard the gentle thrum of star power. The other animatronic nestled into my front and buried their face into my neck. I knew immediately who it was.

“Hello lunamoth…”

“….hi Starshine.”

Frank wrapped his arms around my waist and started nudging my shoulder, clearly wanting me to get out of bed. Lunar meanwhile was like a kitten on their owners lap, protesting every time they moved. Surrounded by warmth, I didn’t want to face the day. I didn’t want to do ANYTHING.

I got up in the end.

As soon as me and two of my partners walked out of my room, we were immediately embraced by some other loves of my life: Sun and Moon.

I also noticed Eclipse in the corner of my eye, sulking like usual -

Once Earth came into the Daycare, I added her in the group hug. We all stayed like that for some time(even Monty and Puppet joined).

After a moment, I wiped my face clean, straightened my skirt, then looked at Moon. “I want to see him.”

“Sunshine, are you-?” Sun was about to object, but I held out a hand.

“Take me to go see Ruin.”

“I don’t think I can be with you anymore.”

I sat in front of Ruin’s cell, my blue eyes piercing into his multicolored ones. To my surprise, he nodded.

“I expected that my dear Juliet. I do not think I could be with myself either if I had experienced what you and the rest of your new found family had. But I must ask…”

I raised an eyebrow.

“….if you are breaking up with me, then why shouldn’t you break up with Eclipse?”

I blinked. “I’m sorry?”

“Lauren, you are drawn to him, I can see it in your eyes. But ever since he came back, you don’t know what to do with your heart. You cried when Lunar killed him, yet when he acts like his old self, you…well…act like you were when you were first built.”

I stood up to leave, not wanting to hear more. “I think that’s enough. You don’t get to make me feel guilty Ruin.”

“I’m not trying to make you feel guilty dear. I’m just suggesting…maybe it’s time to give up on ever having a relationship with any Eclipse, in any timeline or universe. Even with a nice version of him, your heart will still be shattered in the end.”

Escorted by Moon, I walked back into the Daycare, my body numb and my eyes glossy with tears. God, was Ruin right? Was any relationship with Eclipse doomed from the beginning?

He squeezed my hand. “You okay?”

I wiped my eyes, sniffing a bit. “I think the word “okay” went out the door ten episodes ago.”

He chuckled, pressing a chaste kiss to my temple and leading me to a teleporter, which transported us to his and Sun’s new house.

Once we walked inside, I was greeted by the rest of my partners and their family. Sun kissed my cheek…Lunar hopped into my arms like usual…Frank nuzzled my shoulder…and Eclipse surprisingly squeezed my hand, not saying a word.

I opened my locket that was around my neck at all times, turning out the conversation around me about a potential movie night and pushing Ruin’s words to the back of my mind. Inside the heart were a bunch of pictures, carefully in their own little spot.

After smiling at Killcode, brushing my thumb alongside the Bloodmoon twins, and silently saying goodbye to Ruin, I came across Solar’s picture. He was covered in oil and dirt, but he had a small smile on his face.

I softly pressed the necklace to my lips and silently whispered against it.

“I’m so sorry my flare….”

A tear dropped down my cheek and I smiled sadly.

“I’ll see you again some day…”
