tim drake would rather die than kill innocent people and tim drake killed hundreds of supervillain henchpeople with long-range detonation explosives that one time are two separate headcanons that, contrary to what the fandom discourse would have you believe, can actually coexist at the same time.
there’s even a psychologist term for it.
it’s called compartmentalization!

Just saying if Martha Wayne was still alive there isn't any way Bruce would still be single (or single for long). Every dinner they had would conclude with Martha sorrowfully observing the lack of grandkids--
Bruce: "I have like ten children, you have plenty of grandkids--"
Thomas: "Whom we adore. Really, let's just get back to dinner, this is incredible stuff, Alfred."
Alfred: "Thank you, sir. More wine?"
Martha: "Yes please Alfred." turns back to Bruce "Kids need more than one, busy father. You need more--"
Bruce: "I have plenty."
Martha, death glare: "Oh I'm well aware, as is most of Gotham."
Bruce:
Thomas: "So, did anyone catch that game last night. Crushing defeat for Metropolis, wouldn't you agree, Alf?"

After Isa's redemption in KH3, I'll never find it not funny as a huge fan of FFVIII that the fanon consensus is that the new "nemesis" of the Seasalt Trio or at least Roxas and Xion is Seifer.
I dunno how much of the KH fandom has played FFVIII, and in-universe it makes sense given Seifer is the "neighborhood bully" of Twilight Town. However, given what VIII players know about him, it's hilarious and cathartic to see these two kids either bonk him with copied claymores in response to him trying to intimidate them into giving him their ice cream money, curbstomp him at Struggle right after calling them "lamers" or "chicken wusses", or accidentally drop half-eaten popsicles on his face when, in his universe of origin, Seifer was a major war criminal who, among other things, dropped all sorts of horrible endgame monsters including actual malboros onto a hugely populated city (which like any VIII fan can tell you, malboros are already nope on a stick in general, but in VIII in particular they're excessively brutal).
Roxas and Xion are just delivering Seifer some belated karma from 1999 is all and I'm loving every second of it.

With the rise of another unreality meme (Zepotha) please be mindful of your peers who experience psychosis (or anything of that sort). I know it seems innocuous but it’s potentially very harmful to people’s perception of reality

Okay admittedly as much as I love horror movies and books I'm SUCH a baby when it comes to games - but I still want your recommendation list! It's a genre I want to explore more!
first of all, going to recommend it right back to you since you told me about it: SIGNALIS
it's become my favorite game and made me love and appreciate the survival horror genre so much. it's also one of the most interesting works of fiction i've experienced in any media. I STILL THINK ABOUT IT even though i played it about a year ago!! this is my top horror recommendation.
Mundaun is a folk horror game with a hand drawn art style, set in a remote village in the alps. it's weird, it's funny, it's spooky. you can drive a little truck and collect hay and pet goats and ride a sled down the snowy mountain. sometimes there are Horrors.
In Sound Mind is a psychological survival horror game where you play as a... psychiatrist! It's not very serious all the time and it has campy humor and there's a cat you can pet! one of the levels was basically straight out of Alan Wake and it was awesome. the soundtrack is also amazing. i'd say this game is more spooky and fun than scary and i really enjoyed it and i wish more ppl knew about it.
No one lives under the lighthouse is a short (3-4 h) spooky horror game with ps1 style graphics. play this if you like lighthouses, cosmic horrors and want to be stranded on tiny desolate island.

I feel like it bears repeating on like a daily basis, but I do unironically think Nirvana Initiative is like. Demonstrably superior in craft and meaning than the first AI: The Somnium Files. Like I'm not doing a bit on this blog or anything I just actually think AINI is that good and deserves the world. This is the hill upon which I will die, I'm right, fuck you.

my favourite.. well i guess it could be called "happening" in media, i think is when I'm reading about some edgy/dark, horror-adjacent "everyone's constantly having a bad time" setting or story, in a book or a game, and one if not several of the guys in there are just gay offhand. it's a very specific thing i enjoy when its in these horrible (in-universe, emotionally) environments but they're still there
no homophobia no titilation. romantic relationships (even het ones) have zero presence or importance really. but Just Letting You Know: this character is probably a closeted lesbian
diversity win: this mercenary is bisexual! he mentions he has sex with men. diversity ????: a coin flip rng roll can sever both of his arms and crush his sanity for the rest of the game. diversity i-don't-know: this can happen to anyone so its not because hes into men, you just have shit rolls
