how do u choose ur colours omg

OMG hai. Okay so I will be honest I do eyeball it just from my muscle memory on the color wheel bc I’m so used to it by now, that it’s not rlly a thought out choice even tho it should be and I definitely need to study color theory, but these are the ways I help find the right colors for me :]

Aside from that I recommend not getting caught up in “realistic” colors, skin can be saturated, white can be any color you want (blue or green… even pink!) black can be navy, etc. and also I used to look at color pallets religiously for fun, I don’t rlly use them anymore but they rlly helped shape my eye for color scemes! Scrolling thru it used to inspire me w ideas!

looking thru art that inspires you too helps so much! For example I liked how jojos and one piece manga’s colored renders looked and I tried to study them! Finding good color combos and eyeballing them rather than using a color select tool helps so much. It gets you into the habit of finding the colors yourself and knowing where they fall on the color spectrum, making it an easy habit to know what u wanna use without grabbing an image and picking it off from it each time! I hope that makes sense T_T

Blog Boundaries

So. It’s come to my attention that I need to set down some ground rules and boundaries. I’ve noticed some, uh, behavior for lack of a better term that just doesn’t sit right with me. So I’m going to lay out my boundaries for my blog and as an artists. I’ll put what I’m ok with and what I’m not ok with so this can kinda be a reference guide for my blog.

This may be a bit harsh and I’m sorry. Those who have gone across those boundaries BEFORE I made this post are ok as long as you start to follow the ground rules from here on.

I am ok with:

- People drawing my AUs and characters as long as you either @ me or mention that it belongs to me. (Hell, I’ll even reblog and help support ur drawings)

- Asks about my AUs and characters in general are ok. From questions about how an AU works/aspects, questions directed to my characters, or even if you wanna give something to the characters (I’ve seen that done in some blogs and as of now I don’t mind that, just pls don’t go overboard, thanks)

- I don’t think I mind inputting your OCs if your doing drawings of my AUs or characters. Just don’t expect me to make it canon or draw it into canon. (This one is iffy I might take this off if it goes overboard)

- Clarification in the comments section. If there was an ask that didn’t fully explain something or you wanted to clear something up then by all means go to the comments I don’t mind. Or put in another ask. That’s another way to do it.

- I also don’t think I mind people putting in requested ideas in asks for now. Tho there’s a chance I won’t do it if I’m not too motivated by the request. (Again this rule may change depending on how it goes from here on)

Things I am NOT ok with:

- Asking me or pressuring me to draw your AUs, characters, or OCs. This has come up a few times but I want to officially put it on record that if you ask me to, I will say no. Even for asks. Any kinds of other OCs or AUs I draw would only be for my close friends.

- Spamming me with the same asks. If you sent in an ask and I didn’t response don’t send in the same ask again. (That includes reiterating the same ask) I can see all interactions with my blog and posts. I see your asks, replies, comments, reblogs, and likes. If I do not respond to your ask it is for a good reason. Sometimes I’m trying to answer other asks, I’m drawing up a response (that takes time), I’m holding on to it for a later date, I’m lacking motivation on answering or I just don’t want to. Pressuring me to answer your ask Doesn’t. Help. Just because you put in an ask doesn’t always mean you’rs entitled to an answer.

- Being aggressive or pushy with asks. I’m ok with playful aggression targeted towards characters (say for example someone expressing they hate Dice from Royalty) that’s ok. But there’s a line. And some have started to toe that line. Please tone it down a bit.

- Please don’t include me in any kinds of drama. Both internet and off. This includes political topics, wars, events, gossip, etc. I seriously don’t want anything to do with it. The purpose of this blog is to share my AUs and ideas and support other artists. Not for internet drama. If you’re gonna tag me it should be about art, AUs, and fandom related. I’m not gonna waste my energy, time, or stress on other stuff like that.

- And ig in terms of topics I want to avoid things like: NSFW, incest, p*dophilia, r*pe, permanent disfiguration (like chopping off limbs stuff outside of I guess whatever I have built into the lore of my AUs), outright physical torture or major character death. (The usual things)

Warning: if you cross one of these boundaries I will give you a few warnings. If you continue to cross boundaries I will block you.

I’m sorry to be harsh about this but I really have to put my foot down on this. I can’t tolerate people who won’t respect my boundaries.

This post might be subject to change and updated as time goes and as I interact more with viewers/readers. If you are wondering if something you’re doing might be crossing a boundary, you can use this post as a reference. I’ll pin it to my blog so anyone can find it.

Hello! Because of the new TikTok ban scare alota people might come here in another exodus(it’s like the 3rd or 4th). It’s probably not gonna get banned but I would like to tell any new comers about Tumblr etiquette anyways! TLDR at bottom!

Ive been here since the quarantine(this is just a new account) so I know a bit(I’m also an internet history nerd so that helps). If any veteran tumblr users wanna chime in feel free to do so! Also please ask questions if you’re confused about wording or anything.

1. Porn bots:

This site has been plagued with porn bots for a long time but during an exodus you’re gonna see a lot of them. There accounts that are mostly empty for a while but then out of nowhere start posting porn and links to very sketchy sites and clog up tags. They’re very annoying to deal with and most users will end up blocking and reporting empty accounts and moving on. Unfortunately new users get caught in the crossfire and will get blocked and reported. Unlike sites like Twitter and TikTok were you can just not post and no one will bat an eye, people will see an empty blog start spam like posts and block them. You absolutely cannot have an empty blog. What you wanna do is fill your blog with posts related to your interests and reblog post you like. Not only is it helping you find your niche of weirdos but also signaling you’re not a bot. The most common first posts I’ve seen are intro posts and art dumps! Also decoration and blog customization also tells people you’re not a bot. Simply changein the pfp and header is enough for most of us tho.

2. Competition vr collaboration:

Unlike most socials tumblr is a collaborative site that loves creative bits and adding onto jokes rather than competition. It’s actually one of the main reasons tumblr and reddit are so intertwined. Competition and followers are not gonna get you anywhere. You’re better off finding a group of weirdos you like and befriending them. If people like you they’ll find you naturally. Also being tumblr famous is like getting buried alive. You don’t want to get famous here, the hate mail game is insane. Quick tip! Turn off annon asks if you don’t want some insane shit in your ask box or are more sensitive to weirdos. I have it on because I’m brave. The SCP community and other collaborative communities and fandoms all thrive here.

3. Tags:

I’ve seen newer users complain about “stolen tags”. You have never been able to “steal” a tag on any social media site I don’t know what they’re talking about. But anyways! Tags are one of the main ways you communicate on this site. Puns, comments, conversation, and more happen in the tags. It’s no longer a system of just finding posts you like. You wanna add something to a post but it doesn’t fit with the rest of it? Add it to tags. You wanna continue a bit or conversation? Tags. You just wanna goof off? Tags baby. It’s not the only communication of course but you will see conversations in the tags. Another tip! Tags will bleed into each other when looking for a super niche topic. Example: The Dr Glass, Glass Doctors, Dr Who, and Glasses tags will all bleed into each other but only when you are specifically looking for new Dr Glass content.

4. Ai:

Here Ai is very frowned upon unless under specific circumstances. Like reclaiming Ai adopts, actively mocking it, and chat bots. If you do post Ai “art” be cautious but you will end up getting mass blocked if we find you.

5. Fandom:

Like I’ve stated before this a collaborative site and as such you’re gonna see a lot of fandom here. Please be careful because mis info, interpretation, and bad faith spread like wildfire.

6. Don’t interact lists:

If you’re not aware a Do Not Interact list(DNI) is a list of groups or people who you don’t want interacting with your blog(s). It depends on the user but the most common ones in the lists are Homo/transphobes, Pedos, racists, sexists, and generally bigots. But remember for the life of however long your on this site not everyone is gonna listen to your DNI and they will interact anyways. It’s just as simple as blocking someone you don’t like.

TLDR:

No empty blogs, you don’t compete you collaborate, tags are important, Ai is generally frowned upon, fandom gets wild, and a don’t interact list won’t always work and just block people you don’t like.

People wanna fuck a character the fandom generally don’t give a fuck about and get so obnoxious about it truly the worst kind of people

I mean like hey man I wanna fuck Regis and I know no one gives a fuck about him, and like I truly don't mind if someone finds a fictional character hot. There's nothing I can do about it beyond rolling my eyes at Another female courier who vulpes is obsessed with and who's the exception to the legions "no girls allowed" rule because she's just sooo badass. It's dumb but what am I gonna do? I'm the king of being cringe and free. And tbh I think Boone fuckers are just as bad sometimes when it comes to being obnoxious about their child murdering fave who they write as getting over the wife he murdered just in time to fuck their fem courier.

All that said, I don't think I've ever seen someone using right wing dogwhistle terms like "woke mob" when talking about shipping or talking about how hot they think fictional men are, which is what makes the blog I mentioned highly suspicious in my mind. Also like tagging ALL these posts with the three main fnv tags as well as popular characters like arcade and just the constant spam as well as plastering all their posts with "don't like? Don't interact!!" even tho like I'm sure the last thing you'd want is reach if you're expecting people to react poorly. They're either an actual right winger who just made a fake account and is trying to get into fights with "woke fnv fans" for kicks or an actual child who's using every Internet term they know from twitter to try and achieve some kind of weird clout? That's just my personal speculation anyway I've already blocked them and have no intention of looking them up again

well… after being stalked and harassed for the past couple of months, i am finally back!! stay tuned lol i got some fics lined up for y’all 😁

anyway if you read that first line and thought to yourself “WTF?!?”, here is the full story for my curious readers (just a warning, it’s long and i rant a lot):

a couple of months ago, i started getting tagged by random accs on tiktok and insta that posted vids accusing me of the most random and heinous shit. honestly, it just baffled me the first time i saw them bc they made absolutely no sense whatsoever.

when the first ones popped up, i just blocked them thinking it was a random troll and went on with my life.

but then i kept getting spammed by other accs with new posts where they not only involved me but also my friends, and accused us as a friend group of being horrible ppl.

i had enough (i can’t even remember how many accs i blocked) and deleted ALL my social media apps for a while (i.e. more than a couple of months, oops) and basically isolated myself from ppl so that i could focus on other things to distract me (i ended up making daily exercise a habit so ig that’s one good thing that’s come out of this lol, i also rewatched all the marvel movies in timeline order hehe). i wish i continued writing so i could’ve at least had more content to share by now, but i was feeling so negative and pissed that i couldn’t even bring myself to write anything (i even uninstalled notion from my phone and that’s where i keep all my drafts and fic ideas)

i only found out the full situation less than a week ago when i reinstalled tiktok bc i missed it, only to find more burner accs harassing me. i finally had enough so i reinstalled insta to rant about it on my spam acc for my friends to see and to my surprise a couple of them knew who it was and explained the whole situation to me.

it was my first time interacting with ppl outside of my family in months lol, when i tell y’all i isolated myself i really did mean it 🙃 my irl friends didn’t even know anything out of the ordinary was happening bc i’m notorious in my friend group for going off the grid for months at a time bc of how bad my mental health gets sometimes, they know to just let me be and let me deal with it alone bc they understand that’s how i work best. (they won’t see this bc they don’t know this tumblr exists but i wanna apologise to my dear friends for my disappearing acts, my bad, i love y’all for being so understanding and still being my friend after all this time 🫶🏼)

anyway, it turns out the culprit was this guy that my friend had rejected previously and he’s so bitter and hateful that he decided to harass me bc he knew i was one of her bffs (the ppl he targeted were the ones in her closest friend group which included me)

but here’s the kicker: I’VE ONLY TALKED TO THIS GUY TWICE!! AND EACH TIME WE TALKED FOR LESS THAN 5 MINS ABOUT IRRELEVANT SHIT!!! WHY AM I INVOLVED?? YOU DON’T KNOW ME!!!!

when my friend found out she was so surprised and appalled that he was harassing me too, bc him, my friend, and the other ppl he targeted all go to the same college together (and i’m the only one in the friend group that goes to a different college, so to reiterate once again: this guy barely knows me! the last time we spoke was at my friends bday party 3 years ago!! he’s literally insane!)

she knew he was harassing my other friends since they’re all in the same school and know him in person, she didn’t think i would be involved too and i couldn’t believe i was.

anyway, i just wanted to rant about this whole thing bc i’m having a hard time processing it tbh. i hope that guy rots in hell and also finds a job there bc he was acting hella unemployed like who has time for this? he made me feel so confused and paranoid for weeks and i hope he gets all the karma he deserves in the universe.

y’all wanna know something funny tho? i started writing a changmin stalker fic in june, way before this whole situation happened. life imitates art ig 🤪 anyway i finally finished it and i’m gonna release that fic next after i fine tune it, at least now it’ll be somewhat realistic lmaoooo

If other agents had a passive ability...

I feel like Jett should not be the only one with a passive ability. And if Riot can program Cassiopeia to be unable to buy boots, and give Jett the ability to avoid fall damage, other agents should have something too. Here are my suggestions:

Astra: Should be able to dodge a flash completely if she’s in her astral form. I don’t wanna leave the astral form and realize I was flashed.

Breach: If a bullet from a pistol, shotgun, or SMG hits his arms, it should do like, 25% less damage. There’s no flesh there, plus, they’re titanium plated and titanium can be used for some bulletproof properties I think?

Brimstone: I always assumed that he had something in his boots to help with impact since he is older. Even running can wear on joints and he’s been putting a lot of wear and tear on them considering his past careers. He should take like 5hp less from fall damage as a result.

Chamber: Should get 100 more credits on a loss. Man just goes to the bank and pulls out more this time :p

Cypher: If I wanted to meme, I’d say camera gun... but really I think he should be able to gain credits for every person tagged by an ability. Maybe just 50 creds for every tag. Harbor: Should not make any sound when walking on watery surfaces (split sewer, Pearl sewer, etc)

KAY/O: The knife should do like 5hp damage if it hits a person. It’s literally a knife???

Killjoy: Should be able to steal other people’s tech and help reduce the CD timer on her destroyed turret.

Neon: Should do splash damage on her ult if she’s hitting a metal surface instead. Metal being a conductor and all.

Omen: Should move like 5% faster in shadowy parts of a map. (A main on Breeze for example.)

Phoenix: Should take less damage from Brimstone mollies.

Raze: Should take like 10% less damage from friendly fire abilities. Since the original reason why she didn’t take damage from her blast packs but her teammates did was because she was radiant in the sense she was tougher. So...

Reyna: She should heal more depending on the height of the target. So Breach would give way more than say, Neon.

Sage: Should heal more if a teammate gave her a commendation in the preround time. Preprogrammed ones, not the ones that can be spammed by ppl.

Skye: Should be able to track the jellies through walls. Like how you can see outlines with Fade haunts, Skye should be able to see her jellies through walls instead of having to track it on the map. Probably not a passive tho, huh?

Sova: I think he should be blinded more by KAY/Os knife I think. But less by other blinds. Or, has a highlight feature for incoming projectiles so you get earlier warning.

Viper: Should have an actual timer on her abilities. But actually, should take slightly less decay dmg from her double. A gas mask is a gasmask. She’s still more prepared than her other teammates...

Yoru: Should be able to close his eyes on his own blind, aka less self flashes (glares at 90% of the yorus i’ve played with)
