Tsurugi, Rei, Teruya, Utsuro, and Hajime Reacting to S/o Fainting
Ask: Ok, how about when their s/o faints in front of them, I don't matter what characters though lol
Alright, I decided on Tsurugi, Utsuro, and Hajime cuz trauma, and also Rei and Teruya simp lol
Tsurugi Kinjo:
He’s always on the lookout in case something happens to you, so the moment you mentioned that you felt lightheaded, he was already preparing for the worst.
“Are you sure you’re alright, Y/n? We should go to the shade, do you need water?”
Tsurugi reached his arms out the moment you began to sway, catching you immediately as you fainted.
“Y/n!? Are you okay? Y/n!”
He gently tapped your shoulder a few times to check if you were responsive, before carefully laying you down. He was skilled in first aid, so he quickly loosened any tight clothing you had, and lifting your legs above your heart level, so blood could easily flow to your brain.
Demanding someone nearby to call for help, he prepared himself to give you cpr if you stopped breathing. Tsurugi hated how his face turned red when he thought about that…
He completely steps aside when help arrives, but still checks on you whenever he can.
For the next few weeks, he constantly asks you how you feel, if you need to lay down, and to tell him if you ever feel lightheaded again. Even if everything turned out alright, it’s a new worry that keeps him up at night, and it will take a lot of reassurance to convince him that you’re okay.
Hajime Makunouchi:
He was worried the moment you started yawning. He recognized every sign at first glance, and quickly offered you water or to take a break from training, but you insisted on continuing
"Are you sure?...Alright, but if you get too tired, let me-"
Hajime caught you the moment you began to fall, gently laying you down and checking if you were breathing. He wouldn't hesitate to give you cpr, and he sure as hell wouldn't leave you
He yelled for Shinji and Yuki, who were training not far behind you, to call for help. He placed a hand on your forehead, then quickly fanning you with his hand. He didn't even realize he was shaking, he just couldn't stop thinking about you.
He gets in the ambulance with you when help finally arrives, refusing to let go of you for even a second. Hajime knew exactly how you felt right now, and he would never abandon you like his parents did to him.
"Y/n....it's going to be okay...I'm here...I'm here."
He gives your hand a soft squeeze, trying to reassure himself that you'll be fine.
Whatever happened, his luck should help you. And… he wasn’t sure he could take losing you. The moment you recover, you’re met with your favorite boxer, who doesn’t waste a second to hold you, hoping you don’t realize the tears rolling down his face
Rei Mekaru:
Under most circumstances, she would've been able to tell right away that something was wrong, but with, in her words, your "ineffectual comprehension" of yesterday's math lesson, she was too busy lecturing you to notice the signs
"You use the derivative to find the increasing or decreasing interval, Y/n. If the first derivative of a function is positive, then it is an increasing interval. However, this is only correct for a real-value-"
Thud!
Rei's eyes widen in surprise. Her first thought was, 'real funny, Y/n' but her gut had a heart wrenching feeling...
Her knowledge is first aid was pretty basic, but she was quick and well at assessing the situation. She quickly checked for a pulse, tapping your shoulder and calling your name.
"Y/n? Can you hear me? Y/n!"
Placing you in the recovery position, she tells a nearby student to call for help. Rei retraces her steps from her time with you. Had you drank enough water? Were you yawning a lot before you passed out? Did you say anything about feeling lightheaded?
Her thoughts race as she lightly fans you. She would never admit how worried she felt, not hesitating to chew out any onlookers.
"What are you still doing here!? Are you idiots going to help or just watch!?"
She's much more patient when the first responders arrive, stepping aside and letting them do their job, while also sneaking as many looks at you as she can.
Rei would be restless and more irritable for the rest of the day, checking up on you as soon as she could.
You sigh a bit when she scolds you for scaring her like that, but it made you smile how she genuinely cared.
Teruya Otori:
Teruya had been telling you about the new shipment of overseas products that his father had showed him that weekend, holding your hand and rambling with an oblivious smile
He noticed that your hand felt sweaty, and you looked rather anxious about something, but he chalked it up to nerves
"Hey, Y/n? Ya nervous 'bout somethin'? You can tell meh!"
"It's not that... it's just...I..."
He's completely caught off guard when you suddenly drop to the ground. He tried to catch you, but ended up falling down with you.
"Y/n!? Y/n!"
Teruya quickly gets to his knees and lightly shakes you. You mumble an incoherent response, and he yells for help.
He knows basic first aid, so he lays you on your back and loosens any tight clothing on you. (Blushing heavily as he does so)
He steps aside when help arrives, beginning to bite his nails in worry. He tries not to get in their way, but he’s desperate to know what happened to you.
Teruya is glad to know it's not serious, making a mental note to tell your teachers you were absent, and to visit you when you recover, a banquet of flowers in hand
Utsuro:
He notices you seem to sway a bit, and your steps slow, but with his luck protecting you, just brushes it off
It wasn't until he heard a small thud from beside him that he felt a strike of worry
"...Y/n?"
Utsuro thinks you're joking at first, lightly tapping your shoulder. He puts his hand in front of your face to make sure you're breathing, unconsciously letting out a small sigh of relief when he feels your breath
He nudges you a few more times, before hoisting you up against his shoulders. Your breath lightly tickled his neck as he brought you to some shade.
Feeling your forehead, he signals for help.
This whole situation is strange for him. Divine luck should keep you safe from...everything! He knew nothing about first aid, and somehow his divine luck wasn't waking you up yet.
Was it heat stroke? Were you dehydrated?
It was the first time in years he felt... fear. Why were you still unconscious??
Besides Akane, you were the only person he had who truly loved him. He spent his life being used for his luck, just for it to disappear when his S/o was hurt?
It felt like an eternity before help arrived.
His heart... was beating fast... He tried to keep his unbothered face, but it became increasingly difficult.
Just what happened to you?

Hello.... This is the first time I wrote a request, So I have no idea how to do this........ I would like to request Rei, Kanata and Kanade with a Tf2 Medic S/O
In case you don't know Tf2. The Medic has little regard for the Hippocratic Oath and and is deathly curious about human flesh and/or pain, regularly performing crazy and unethical experiments. But for some reason they work and actually helps a lot in the medical field. That said, he's also friendly, cheerful, and helpful to his friends despite him being a mad scientist who has no moral qualms about transplanting baboon hearts on people.
hello!! thank you for requesting!! I don’t write for Kanata unfortunately. But this was such an interesting prompt. This is actually so perfect for Kanade’s character.
I’m not sure if I wrote this correctly so dm me if you want anything changed!!
WARNING; SPOILERS; MENTIONS OF HUMAN EXPRIMETS; KANADE’S ESCAPADES
~ Mod Haruhiko ✈️
Kanade Otonokoji
This… this is the perfect dynamic for her. You are quite literally her dream S/O, I swear. Kanade will literally think that you were a gift to her from Satan Angels. Definitely angels and not anyone else.
You are sweet and kind just like her! At first glance to people around you, you two are just the sweetest couple that anyone has ever seen. She regularly did charity work, and you better the research of medicine.
What two lovely pair the two of you guys are— oh no. The two of you are extremely fucked up.
It would be so comedic when the two of you aren’t exactly aware of the other’s escapades yet.
You or Kanade would slip out some absolutely unhinged and insane sentence and the conversation would carry on without the other one batting an eye.
When the reveal finally happens Kanade would be sure to leave her out of her explanation.
Whenever you have a question on how the human body functions in a certain way, or how doing something specific to harm or break the skin would affect how they behave, ask her!
Kanade always has someone on hand to do your silly little experiments on.
And she’d ask you question on your studies so that she can test them out in interesting ways.
The two of you go ballistic during horror movies BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT ACCURATE!! THEY WOULD DIE MUCH QUUCKER
Definitely a match made in Hell.
Rei Mekaru
When Rei first met you during the Killing Game, she figured you were some poor naive incompetent soul. She just figured you were a Kanata 2.0, especially with your personality.
But that changed during the first trial and investigation where whenever conversation about her body, you were leading the conversation. Immediately shooting down whatever brain-less idea one moron had come up with. And that intrigued her.
During chapter two she had gotten your secret; S/O might have experimented on the bodies of those who were unlikely to make it. This intrigued Rei even more because you had made so many improvements to the field of medicine.
She was slightly shocked but you saying yes almost immediately.
After that, for every investigation Rei would make sure that you could properly investigate the bodies and would only ask you information about the corpses. You impressed literally everyone and you earned a far better title to Rei than an incompetent.
After you survived with her she would probably ask you out.
But when word got up of your unethical experiments, Kinjo and Keisuke were not happy whatsoever.
After the Killing Game, you were definitely not hired by the Kisaragi Foundation, Tsurugi definitely considers you a criminal. So you have to work at a hospital.

Can even the most corrupt despair be saved? (POV: Tsurugi Kinjo post DRA)
I was trying to just get home first and foremost. Regardless what things looked like, I was exhausted more than anything. That’s when I found myself at the entrance of the police force building. So they somehow kept it in tact. Curiosity got the better of me… I walked towards the main office window and that’s when I locked eyes with him.
My father.
No. That man wasn’t my father anymore. He ate… He ate what he believed to be me, his son.
He was sitting at the desk hunched over, almost seeming like a shadow but then he burst out into an insane laughter. I’ve never seen him lose his composure that much. I took a few steps back when suddenly he came bolting towards me. THE GLASS.
He was running straight through the window without a care! I quickly raised my arms to cover my face and protect myself from whatever was about to explode as he threw himself through the window. His laughter was even louder now then it was before. For the first time ever, I felt his arms wrap around me. What should I do? He’s squeezing me. I don’t trust this. What’s going on with him. His breathing was so heavy… That’s when I felt it. He was drooling and his eyes were crazed with despair. His mouth unhinged like he was going to bite me?! I quickly kicked at his knees and forced him to fall down.
“What the actual hell are you thinking?! You thought I was dead so your one thought upon seeing me again was to literally throw yourself through a window. You really have lost your mind.” I let out a sigh as I watched my father struggle to gain his bearings on the ground.
“Tsurugi… It really is you… I thought… I thought she really made me eat you…” He muttered the last part but I knew exactly what he was talking about. I winced a bit at the thought. Kouhei… I still can’t apologize enough to him…
“Get up, we’re going home for now.” I don’t know how to handle my father. At least he’s alive, but how can I keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn’t turn right back to despair? Someone like him... He’s not fit to rule over the police department anymore. “You’re relieved of your duties.”

Order #4: Kisaragi Clients.
Welcome to Canzanilla Cafe, can I take your ooooorder~?
Huh?
Oh!
Ah!
Oop! I detect controversy! What’s going on?
N-No problem Maya. Just a little surprised to see our guests here today.
Yes, I’m equally as surprised to see you, Mr Kurafto. Of all people I expected to be taking our order today, I didn’t expect it would be you.
But it’s certainly not an unwelcome surprise. Good to see you pardner!
Good to see you too Otori. Still grateful for what you did for us back during the Fugitive incident.
Yeah...about that...Sorry if it’s insensitive o’ me to ask, but...How have you and Makoto Naegi been since then?
I’m fine...relatively...Boss still hasn’t really recovered but...we’re doing what we can for him?
Something tells me that I shouldn’t pry, but I REALLY want to.
It’s personal...I’ll tell you later.
Ok, well...Who might the two of you be? I don’t think I’ve seen you around the place. Do you work in a special department or something?
No, that’s not it. This is Teruya Otori, and this is Rei Mekaru. They work for the Kisaragi Foundation.
Kisaragi...?
The Kisaragi Foundation are their own separate organization, but they do similar work to the Future Foundation that involves them hunting down criminals and rescuing people in danger.
The main difference between our two groups is that the Kisaragi Foundation are a little more...heavy handed. They don’t have the same code of honor as the Future Foundation, and they’ll achieve their goals through whatever means they deem necessary.
Huh...So, Future Foundation is like Martin Luther King, while the Kisaragi Foundation are like Malcom X?
Good analogy, but there is more to it than that.
Huh...
What’s wrong?
Just thinking Kuripa.
You’ve always besmirched the Future Foundation’s policy, but the Kisaragi’s sound like they’d let you get away with that. Why don’t you work for them instead?
Well, there is a few reasons. Even if my methods are deemed necessary and allowed, there’s a limit to what I they can do for me.
Also, the chairman of the Kisaragi Foundation, Tsurugi Kinjo...He and I get along like two wankers who support different football clubs.
Plus...Kisaragi Foundation doesn’t have Makoto Naegi.
Aaaww.
That’s not important right now. Sorry for our rudeness, I just wasn’t expecting to see you two here today.
The feeling is mutual. We came here for a meeting with the chairwoman. I wasn’t expecting we would encounter you, or a place like this.
Hey! What do you mean “a place like this?” It’s a café, have you never seen one before?
I know what a café is...
Come on Rei, don’t act like that. It’s disrespectful to the bartender.
With that said, sorry, no pressure or anything, but these drinks had BETTER be good.
No pressure indeed. What’s got you so uptight?
Ah...It’s just...can you imagine how difficult it was for me to keep Rei from running back to her desk!?
We come all the way out here, and as soon as we finish our consultation, she wants to jump right back to working.
What? But it’s Christmas! You deserve a break!
Exactly! And look at her! We’ve only been here for a couple of minutes and worry is already written all over her face!
*sigh* Teruya...
Well, Future Foundation have told me that they’re relatively busy around this time of year. The reason Kuripa’s working at this place with me is because there are minimal competent people they can spare. I’d imagine the Kisaragi Foundation also have a lot to handle.
Yeah. Plus, given that Rei here is second in command of the whole establishment, it’s only natural that she has a lot on her plate.
Still, I agree with Otori. You deserve a holiday just as much as anyone.
And you’re already here anyway, so why don’t you let us mix a couple of drinks for you? It’ll make you feel a lot better.
Think of it as a way to unwind.
Thanks...Seriously though, Rei is probably the only person I know who needs to LEARN how to relax.
Anywho, if we’re orderin’ whip me up a large latte with extra cream and extra sugar please!
Why am I not surprised?
Don’t judge me~
And how about you Ms Mekaru? What are you in the mood for?
Coffee please. No milk, no sugar, medium please.
Well that’s...mundane.
Yeah, can’t you have a little more creativity?
You drink that boring old coffee all the time as well. Wouldn’t you at least TRY something else?
Tch...You three should start a band called Green Hair and Bad Attitude.
Well sorry for looking out for you!
I know, I appreciate it, really. But I really do just want a regular coffee. I need a boost of caffeine tonight.
Fine, I’ll get right on that for the both of you.
*A few minutes pass and Maya brews both Teruya’s latte and Rei’s coffee. She brings the tray back to them and places it down on the table.
Here you go. Boring coffee and diabetes latte, at your service.
Those can be our stage names for Green Hair and Bad Attitude.
Are you actually going to start that band!?
*Rei takes a careful sip of her coffee, while Teruya takes a big gulp of his latte. The latter licks the cream off his lips and smiles.
Aah! The perfect amount of sweetness. You have my seal of approval.
Arf Arf Arf!
Oh for goodness sake, you’re SO LAME!
I have to agree. This is a well made coffee. Strong, rich and bitter at the same time, all of them balancing just right.
I’m glad you both liked your drinks.
...Yeah...Thanks...
Something wrong ma’am?
No, it’s fine. I’ve just...been giving what you said to me earlier some thought.
Oh?
I’ve been...reflecting on my weaknesses lately. There’s still a lot of areas that I can improve upon.
It’s been stressing me out and...I’m worried that stress has been rubbing onto the rest of you as well. For that, I am sorry.
All: Uuuuuuuuuggggh...
Wh-What!?
Sorry Rei. It’s just...I STILL don’t think you understand what Teruya meant.
Huh?
See? He gets it~
Rei. It’s Christmas, and you’ve been working yourself down to the bone these last couple of months. You’ve even been sleeping in the office lately!
In a way, you’re right. Your stress is getting to me, but it’s not rubbin’ off on me. I’m just WORRIED about you, so I thought I’d take you out for some drinks after today’s meeting.
But even though we’re here, yer STILL thinkin’ about work! My feelin’s are gon’ go from concern to panic in a sec!
I think we’re already there. Your dialect is going nuts dude.
Oh! Sorry...
*Teruya composes himself.
My POINT is...If you’re constantly under stress like this, it’s only a matter of time before you burn out and collapse. Then what the hell are we gonna do?
Exactly. You clearly know just how much the Kisaragi Foundation relies on you. Tsurugi may be the chief, but I don’t think he could truly run the organization by himself. If you go down, what’s gonna happen to everyone else?
I...didn’t think of it like that...
You know, I was raised by my grandparents in Italy. They were old farts but...I knew they still cared about me.
I was a pretty hyperactive kid, and I was always leaping into problems without a plan...To be honest, I still do that. But, mi nonna had a saying she would always repeat to me when things got rough.
“Disconnettersi per riconnettersi”
Disconnect...to reconnect...?
Exactly.
I’m not one to sit around and do nothing, but if you work hard and play hard, you gotta rest just as hard. And YOU lady, need more rest than you think you do.
I...I see...
You get it now?
Yes, I understand. And on that note, I must apologize.
It was...Maya, right? I apologize if it seemed like I was disrespecting your establishment earlier.
I didn’t really understand the appeal of places like cafe’s or bars before now. Now I know better. You’ve created a place that serves as a refreshment for both the body and the mind. Thank you for opening my eyes.
Aw, you’re making me blush.
Heh...The thought of the Ultimate Professor needing to be taught something is funny to think about.
I have always had a habit of putting work above everything else, so I never really understood why it was that people would go out to bars during weekends or after work. So this is why you and Setsuka enjoy such places?
Well, yeah...and nah. It really comes down to who’s behind the counter.
Speakin’ o’ which, I gotta give you guys my thanks. Wouldn’t’ve been able to change Rei’s mind without ya’ll. Here, I’ll leave you a tip.
Don’t mention it.
Buon Natale Kisaragi Foundation!
*Teruya leaves a big tip, as he and Rei make their exit.

I mean... I think Iroha is using the same logic on Mukuro as she is on Juu. Mukuro to many is the twin sister of Junko and a complete monster like her. But Iroha, having grown up in a highly abusive household, can see that Mukuro is ultimately the biggest victim of Junko. And...Kyoko you KNOW Iroha is going to bring that topic up with you, that she wants to redeem Mukuro and have her turn against her sister. Something that even Kasugano is not going to approve of.
Of course I know who she is. And you all have a point.
But even then, and I mean you no disrespect, Iroha-san, but you haven’t seen what Ultimate Despair does. You have no idea what kind of corruption it visits upon people, what it forces them to endure and how deeply it entrenches itself in their minds.
And unlike what happened after The Tragedy, we don’t have the Neo World Program to help us undo the damage.
So, what then? Do we just kill them?
I’d prefer that we didn’t...but if we don’t have any other choice.
But...wh-what about Kinjo Tsurugi? That’s his dad you’re talking about! He doesn’t know about any of this. W-Wouldn’t it be better to just...y’know...put the guy in a cell first and explain what’s happening?
Yes, of course it would. I’m only saying that if we have no other choice, if he makes it clear he will not accept being imprisoned we have no way of rehabilitating him-
Then we find a way. You don’t just give up on someone like that.
“Someone like that” is otherwise incapable of changing. Believing that we can just find a way to change them, especially after everything you’ve seen, is unbelievably naïve of you.
…You know, I used to not care what happened to others, just as long as I was fine. My biggest priority was always me. Me, me, me, me. And people- a little boy- got hurt because of it.
I admit it, I was a coward. And maybe I’m not that smart, and maybe I’m just a dumb teenager or whatever else you wanna call me...
But don’t call me naïve. Ever. I’ve seen things you wouldn’t believe. I grew up with some of the most hateful, cruel parents you could ever possibly imagine. And I know what kind of person I could’ve been if I screwed up, and not only do I never wanna go down that path because now I have people who care about me, I never want anyone else to either!
And what’s wrong with that?! What’s wrong with believing people can be better?! Are you afraid to believe in people?! Or is it because, if someone does something awful, you want something awful to happen to them too? Maybe that’s the problem!
Maybe the reason why people like Kinjo Juu or Ikusaba Mukuro turn to despair was because they had nobody else. When the future looks dark and they have nobody to help them, of course people are gonna turn to something out of desperation! Why do think Aum Shin-whatever got started?! And what do we do? We punish them for it. If you really think making them hurt worse for the bad things they did just because you wanna feel some sense of justice, maybe you’re the naïve one then!
…
…Wh-Whoa, um...sorry, didn’t know I was holding that in.

Ok, Anon who asked for the Bastard because of trauma s/o thing again, Just any Teruya you want, thanks
Okay! One bastard S/O coming up~
......
Being an absolute jerk during the Killing School Trip was just a way for you to cope, in all honesty. It’s helped you cope with your past, as you’ve suffered greatly from people walking all over you and you were tired of it.
So you’ve changed--not necessarily for the better, but it helped you survive the last killing game you were in...and your job at the Kisaragi Foundation.
You take no shit, especially not from Tsurugi or the remnants of despair you’ve captured. Hell, you loved pissing them off on purpose.
Fortunately Teruya was always by your side to make sure you didn’t get yourself killed. Poor boy sees you haven’t changed a bit (though you’re still nice to him no matter what. He’s the only exception).
And you act no different when arriving to Utsuroshima.
“Fuck you mean you don’t recognize us, Yuki?!!”
“H-Hey, s/o..please. We have an arrest to make--”
When Mikado practically yeets your bf into the sky, you’re pissed. Even when he returns after Hajime’s execution you just wanna kick the wizard in the nards.
But of course violence without murderous intent wasn’t allowed, so you just stuck to insulting him every chance you got, especially in the trials.
You’re honestly worse than Shobai, Sora, or Kanade when it comes to insults.
You also feel like you recognize some of the places on the islands, but you’re just like “whatever we’ll figure shit out eventually.” You’re more annoyed about being in another killing game and know that dreading over the situation won’t help.
“Hey, [y/n]? Why is Teruya suddenly avoiding us? Surely you must know-”
“Oh I don’t know..maaaybe because he’s been through a fucking killing game where we quickly learned we can’t trust anyone for shit?”
When Teruya locks up everyone in the Babel Tower, you manage to snatch the gun from his hands, which shocks everyone--even him.
“Ruya you’re an absolute dipshit for trying to think like Kinjo-”
As harsh as you are, you still love and care about him a lot, so you do your best to snap him out of despair. And occasionally you’ll soften up to comfort him whenever he feels useless.
Everyone wonders how tf you two stayed together, but Teruya knows you for who you truly are. You need him just as much as he needs you, especially now.

watch inoris motive video,,,
Tomori - We should... probably get it over with, yeah?
Inori - Mmm... fine, whatever.
Taira - Monokuma, would you please start the video?
Maeda - Just casually ask the murder bear to share the murder video.
Monokuma - Is Any Student Unprepared?
Tsurugi - ...Hold on a second. I thiiink I may know what's happening in your video, Inori.
Tsurugi - Even if I'm wrong, to help soften the blow of having your video displayed...
Tsurugi - Should we all share what was in our videos?
Ōtori - No.
Ōtori - No, no, nope. That's dumb, and we aren't doing that.
Tsurugi - It's settled, we are!
Tsurugi - It'll help us feel a sense of kinship, and what do any of us have to hide?
Maki - Personally, I'm all for it.
Maki - Can I nominate someone? With that reaction, I want Ōtori to go first.
Ōtori - What the hell!
Maki - Cmon, don't be a bitch.
Tsurugi - Here, how 'bout I go first?
Maki - Talk about un-confrontational...
Tsurugi - Diffusing situations is helpful, and something I'm good at!
Tsurugi - For me, it showed the entirety of my close family, all in various forms of danger.
Tsurugi - One of them's been getting used to a new prosthetic, so I was already a bit worried, and seeing the circumstances everyone was in has me really panicked.
Tsurugi - But I'm certain everyone will be fine, and I know that me killing someone won't help anything, even if I were willing to.
Maki - Thanks to someone, you all already know who was in my video.
Maki - I... didn't see my brother the day I left home to travel to HPA, he's younger than me,
Maki - And I was the only one trained in sniping, let alone self defense.
Maki - Sooo... he's probably fucked over.
Yamaguchi - ...
Yamaguchi - Whole family gone, sister in danger...
Yamaguchi - I believe in my sister though! Hopes Peak was already taking an interest in her athletic skills!
Hatano - Huh... seems like the family being missing thing is pretty universal?
Hatano - Is there anyone here who didn't see their whole family in some sort of danger, or something?
Iranami - ...So many siblings... not a single remaining...
Iranami - A-ah, I didn't mean to interrupt...
Iranami - Since I'm already talking, I'll share though, to get out of your way.
Iranami - It was my big brother, the sibling closest to me in age.
Hatano - I'm sorry... both of my little siblings, for me.
Higa - ...Breaking the sibling trend, it was my Father in my video.
Mekaru - So does that make me the only person who's friend was targeted?
Taira - No, that's the same as my case, Mekaru.
Kobashikawa - I have two older sisters, I think it was the one closer to me in age in my video...
Tomori - Oh! Same here, Kobashikawa, it was my older sister.
Uehara - Little sister here!
Uehara - Though... I'm the only member of my family who was in Japan, so maybe it was faked?
Uehara - Which I promise I'm not just saying for wishful thinking, but shouldn't we try and gauge the influence of those behind this?
Maeda - ...No, I don't think so. For me, I saw a few of... my siblings, then it showed the youngest one dead.
Hatano - D-dead?!
Taira - Really...?
Maeda - Either dead, or left to bleed out... I think?
Higa - What, did you seriously forget something like that?
Maeda - S-shut up!
Tsurugi - Hey, hey, let's handle that later, okay? We can talk about what it may mean regarding this situation, but not now.
Tsurugi - Thank you all for being brave and sharing! That's almost everyone, all that's left is...
Tsurugi - ...Ōtori? I won't pressure you, but I think it could help you to tell us.
Ōtori - ...
Ōtori - My dad. That's who I'm worried about.
Tomori - And that's all you need to say.
Tsurugi - Thank you for telling us!
Inori - ...I wanna talk about my family, after we watch the video.
Inori - We're all ready now... you can play the video.
Tomori - Inori... I'm sure your reasoning was-
Inori - Just wait... please, just watch the video.
Tomori - ...As you wish.
Monokuma - Please Stay Silent And Pay Attention. Notes Are Not Required.
~*~
/On the monitor, the video begins to play. Maeda watches as it loads... right on to the serene scene from his video, with all four children going about their idyllic tasks shown earlier, exact same as Maeda watched before. "MAEDA" is written across the top of the screen, as it plays out.
VIDEO - The chance you all couldn't be driven to murder was a likely one known from the start.
//"TAIRA" has been written across the top of the screen. A brunette girl, seemingly younger than the class, and a blond boy... (possibly older?) both seem to be hard at work. The brunette has arms full of storage bins she's carrying, while the blond attempts to not trip over the bedding sets he holds.
VIDEO - But luckily, a motive was devised, certain to strike a nerve with at least one student.
//"ŌTORI" has been written across the top of the screen. A middle-aged man, with hair the same green as Ōtoris, reads from a recipe book, before turning to an oven, and pulling bread from it. He places it on a display shelf, which has a sign reading "Fresh goods, baked daily - Anything unsold donated to families in need."
VIDEO - In fact, this helped to generate more possible motives, should they be needed!
//"KUROKAWA" has been written across the top of the screen. A boy with blue hair is leaned over a desk with his back to the camera, and to the man who just entered the room. The man pulls out his phone, types something, and the boy motions him closer- whatever is on the desk starts to smoke, and both rush into action.
VIDEO - Except... a bump was hit, as loved ones were found and endangered.
//"KINJO" has been written across the top of the screen. A woman leans down to embrace her husband in his wheelchair, before dropping off bags full of case files, as can be seen through the slightly-opened cover. She kicks off her shoes, and follows him further into the house.
VIDEO - First step was always to look at siblings, and parents, then friends should that fail.
//"HATANO" has been written across the top of the screen. A man, with black hair starting to turn salt-and-pepper, chases two squealing kids, who appear to be twins. It's a game of... tag? As the trio races past a variety of athletic awards located around the house.
VIDEO - But a certain little orphaned only-child got in the way of that format.
//"KOBASHIKAWA" has been written across the top of the screen. A young adult is seen in a lavish garden, arms full of plants, which she seems to be carrying towards a older woman, working away at the garden. In the background, a older teenager is seen running, spinning, and screaming, with pure glee.
VIDEO - And so, coworkers were added to the mix.
//"IRANAMI" has been written across the top of the screen. A blue haired boy is seen alone, in what appears to be a dressing room of sorts. He wipes sweat from his palms, then, certain he's alone, begins to perform what tricks he can do in the small room, flipping and spinning- before he's called out of the room.
VIDEO - And yet even then... no hit.
//The scene shifts from other students motive videos, to a group of adults all in medical garb.
DOCTOR ONE - Another day, and no Inori? She only applied for a days leave, she was supposed to keep coming in until the start of the school year...
DOCTOR TWO - If I have to tell another patient that their operation is getting pushed back because we can't find anyone,
DOCTOR TWO - And it's because their surgeon ditched with no warning, I'm gonna lose it with that girl!
DOCTOR THREE - Kids these days...
DOCTOR TWO - Don't you mean Super High School Level's?
DOCTOR FOUR - She's right, going to Hopes Peak is a sure way of knowing that a kid is an entitled brat.
DOCTOR TWO - Remember her reaction to being accepted? We get it, you're oh-so-special.
DOCTOR FIVE - Her ego got even bigger than before... why does her mail even get sent her anyways?
//The video changes again, returning to other motive videos.
VIDEO - Talk about swing and a miss!
//"UEHARA" has been written across the top of the screen. A small brunette boy sits up in a peach tree, at ease in the branches, pulling a peach off, which he passes down to a girl- older than him, but still younger than the class, who happily accepts the gift.
VIDEO - So, what to do? Maybe someone who cared for you wasn't necessary, just someone you cared for.
//"MAKI" has been written across the top of the screen. A teenage boy with ombré hair is seen dancing around with a crowd of others with only one thing in common- their more... alternative style. Someone taps on his shoulder, and he turns around to face them. After a brief discussion, he begins to help them with their makeup.
VIDEO - But even then, we couldn't find anyone... maybe that's the reason no one felt anything but anger towards you at your disappearance.
//"YAMAGUCHI" has been written across the top of the screen. A young girl with short black hair is shown swinging on a swing set, getting herself higher and higher. Right as she jumps off, an adult enters the frame, grabbing her attention- and she wipes out on the ground, quickly recovering and getting up.
VIDEO - A violent teen who only cares about bringing money in for herself, getting excited about others pain because it means there's more cash in her bank account.
//"TOMORI" has been written across the top of the screen. A teenager seemingly a few years older than the class, is seen sitting on a couch by herself. Shortly after the video starts, she's joined by a middle-aged woman, who shares a plate of snacks with the teen.
VIDEO - What to do, what to do... you've already got your reputation here, don't you see how scared they all are, how they distrust you?
//"HIGA" has been written across the top of the screen. A man with burgundy hair is kicking a soccer ball around in what seems to be a fenced-in back yard. He kicks the ball up to his knee, bounces it into the air, then moves back, bringing up his opposite foot to send the ball flying.
VIDEO - How safe do you think you are, here among all these students, who are now motivated to kill... who do you think they'll target?
//"MEKARU" has been written across the top of the screen. A white haired teen sits on the ground, with a storybook open in her lap. She waves her hands at two smaller children who seem to be bickering, causing them to still... for only a moment. The girl sighs, and turns her attention to the rest of the children surrounding her.
VIDEO - Who do you think they'll feel least guilty about killing? Who has nothing to lose?
//The screen flashes between various shots from the videos, the moments showing the loved ones in pain, or in danger, before switching to Monokuma, talking into the camera.
VIDEO - There's a whole world out there, of people for you to actually form bonds with. All you have to do is escape. You already know how to accomplish that... and you already know that it won't be any weight on your conscious.
//The video ends abruptly, with that final line. In the trial room, no one dares to break the silence, other than Inori, who's breath hitches as she tries to hold back tears.
~*~
Maeda, narrating - ...What the hell was that?
Maeda - I...
Maeda - What is...
Maeda - ...
Maeda - .....I feel... sick...

Since you're doing DRA imagines now, can I have the DRA boys as Remnants of Despair? I need my angst fix.
Oh! For a bit of time, I’m going through a Mikado shift? I believe it’s what it’s called? But don’t worry, I’m not changing much else! Ever just, not get what you’re writing until you finish writing it? I didn’t get that with this one, I just had no idea in general, pfft. But done worry my fellow chicken nuggets! I’m sure you’ll enjoy this! —(Mikado Shift)
———-
(Small Trigger warning for Shooting, Decapitation, Slight Glore.)
Flames, engulfing the cities as each pair moved throughout it. Effortlessly, the think grey smoke emitted from the flames polluted the air. But to these eight, it was the normal air that once filled their lungs prior to this, grinding hope into the dust that it is. To the point where hardly anyone knew the word anymore. The only prominent thing was, despair..
Haruhiko and Teruya-
- “Now, now, I reckon you think about this,” chuckled the merchant as he walked back towards the edge of the building, looking over his shoulder for a moment, then back ahead with a grin.
- “PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR, REMNANT! MOVE AND I’LL SHOOT!”
- Called an officer, pointing a gun at Teruya with a glare present on their face. Pulling the trigger back, ready to fire at any given minute.
- “This is the same song and dance, y’know, don’t move remnant. Don’t shoot my familiar remnant! Don’t kill me, I’ll do anything! Blah, blah, the same thing over and over! It’s about as boring as Utsuro!”
- Teruya huffed, a scowl forming before it changed to a smirk. “How about you shoot me, and I’ll fall. If you’re lucky, I’ll die, and if not I live! Easy game, right? Here, I’ll even close my eye!”
- Teruya chirped, putting a hand over his visible eye, grinning delightedly. While the police officer fumbled with their gun, soon shooting the merchant in the shoulder twice. Much to his dismay, dropping his hand down placing it on his hip. “Really? Shame, but don’t worry officer, I’ll help you out this once!” Teruya backed off further, soon raising his hand up with a whistle, dropped off of the building. Teruya did tsk at the fact that his shoulder was stinging, watching as the blood poured out, but he could care less.
- An engine of a plane could be heard as it darted past the officer and downward. A hand reaching out and grabbing the merchant, as the pilot pulled the handle back, making the plane go upwards, as Teruya waved back to the officer with a grin. “BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME!” He called, cupping a hand around his mouth.
- “One day, I’m bound to not hear you and you’ll get killed, you’re aware of that, right?” The pilot was none other then Haruhiko Kobashikawa. Teruya pulled himself into the plane, snickering. “Yeah, but that’s the fun part! Being inches close to Deaths grasp, only to be whisked away at the last second! Ah! Sounds like something from a fairytale!”
- Haruhiko rolled his eyes slightly, looking back ahead focusing on the course ahead of them. The robotic hand he had suited him much better than his regular left one. It was much easier to handle in comparison.
- From the distance, the sound of helicopters could be heard behind them. “Oi, Teruya,” Haruhiko started. “Yeah, I got it!” Teruya responded immediately, pulling out what seemed to be a minigun his grinning widening even more as he started to fire away.
Tsurugi and Yamato-
- “Yamato, have you finished the model up yet?” Called a slightly deep voice, with a hint of annoyance laced within it. “Don’t get your britches in a twist, I’m almost done.” The inventor replied, adjusting his goggles.
- “Finished!” Soon came a reply, lifting and removing the goggles only to toss them to the side. “Finally, I’ve been waiting for two days! Don’t you know they’re going to get suspicious at this point?” The police officer, Tsurugi Kinjo snarled, walking over to take a closer look at the finished model.
- The inventor, Yamato Kisaragi moved to the side, clearing proud of himself. “C’mon! Let’s go and test this puppy out! I heard some survivors out not too long ago!” Tsurugi picked up the gun, looking down at, getting used to the weight of it quickly.
- “For once, I’m looking forward to this..”
- The male mumbled, to himself before he followed Yamato outside looking around. It was then that he noticed the group of survivors, his roughed up clothing and bruised, bloodied clothing made him fit well with them.
- “Are you three alright?” Tsurugi asked, false genuine in his voice. Though it sounded very convincing, to the point they had believed it as well.
- “Y-Yeah, we’re fine! Just..a little tired! Are you alright? You look much more beaten up than us!” One of the worried survivors spoke.
- “Y..yeah, I’ll be fine. If you would like..you can come to stay with my friend and me for a while for shelter. We also have food and other necessities.
- The three were rather skeptical of Tsurugi at first before they agreed to go with them. Packing up their things, they started to walk ahead, with Tsurugi telling them where to go from behind. Unknowingly to them, a sinister grin made way onto his lips.
Kinji and Mitch-
- “This is a good idea, how?” The priest asked, turning to face the soccer player unamused. “Because! You can charm all the girls with the talk of saving them, just..go! And be sure to bring back at least two!” The soccer player had a small grin on his face at the mention of that.
- Kinji sighed, with a small roll of his eyes turned and headed off to go and retrieve two of the unlucky females. “Whatever he has in mind..let the Lord forgive our sins..” He mumbled, rubbing his temples to rid them of irritation.
- While Kinji walked, he glanced around for any unfortunate souls. His blue eyes widened with big delight when he saw a small group of children. It wasn’t the ideal that Mitch wanted, but he could care less if he wanted them. He could go out and get them himself.
- “Are you lost, dear children..?” The priest asked, in the most sincere voice he could muster up. Walking over to them and crouched down with a confused expression. Some of the children flinched, hiding back behind the others while others snarled like animals. “We’re not lost! We’re just..” One child, with small cuts across their body, stood in front of their friends/loved ones. “That’s beside the point, what are you here for!”
- Kinji was slightly taken back, but a smile appeared once more. “Well, until your caretaker comes back..how about I look after you all? It’s very dangerous for children this young to be out by themselves..” One of the children made it through the others, looking up at Kinji with small hope-filled eyes. “P..Promise..?” She asked softly. “You have my word.” He said softly, crouching down, and picking the little girl up, with a small smile. “If...Lulu trusts you..then maybe you aren’t all that bad.” The boy from earlier said with a small sigh.
- “Let’s go!” Chirped another, with a huge smile, as Kinji chuckled, turning and started to walk away motioning for them to follow. Which they did, soon being lead back to the stadium where Mitch was waiting at the entrance. “What took you so long!” Mitch exclaimed angrily not noticing the children just yet. “I was simply recusing some children that I had found alone,” Kinji replied calmly while placing down Lulu lightly holding her hand. Mitch crosses his arms irritated before a small idea popped into his head. “Well, since..the stadium is waiting for a proper show, I think I’ll give them one. Let’s see..you!” Mitch replied, pointing to the boy with several cuts who’s name was..Luka.
- “What is it?” Luka asked, with a small frown, to which Mitch only chuckled. “You seem like the type to like sports right? Come with me, you can help participate in this game.” Luka looked at Kinji confused, which he nodded saying that he was safe. “F..fine.” Mitch looked delighted, as he grabbed Luka’s hand and pulled him along. “Now, the rest of you children, go along and take your seats. Alright?” The other children nodded, running along, except Lulu. She turned back to Kinji with a confused expression. “Mr..? Um..do you think I can stay with you..?” She asked softly. Kinji debated for a moment and then nodded holding his hand out which she gently grabbed it and started to walk to take their own seats.
- In the middle of the dome stadium, Mitch stood in the center, with both a bag and smirk. “LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! I PRESENT TO YOU, MY NEW SOCCER BALL!” He beamed, pulling the cover off revealing the head of Luka. Which he started to kick the decapitated head from one foot to another. Various screams ran throughout the crowd, mixed with cheers as well. “WHOSE READY FOR A DESPAIR FILLED GAME!” Mitch yelled, listening to the various cheers that echoed around before laughing.
Utsuro and Kakeru-
- “Yu-U..Utsuro..do you think this plan is going to work..?” The lawyer asked, walking over to look at the once lucky student who was simply staring out at the city with a blank expression, the occasional breeze flowing. Utsuro looking back at Kakeru remaining silent for a moment, then properly responding. “I’m certain, that it will..after all, there isn’t anyone to stop us.”
- “I suppose you do have a really good point.” He stated with a sigh, looking up at the smoke-filled sky with a frown. “Knowing..them, it’s going to take some time, but I’m sure that they can do it.” The lawyer soon chuckled, looking back at the city once more. “Shall I go now and deliver the message of what’s to come?” Kakeru asked, with a small smile creeping up onto his lips.
- “Not yet, give them a bit more time, Kakeru.” He waved a hand, turning and walked away heading to his throne and took a seat on it, propping his arm on the armrest, and his chin on the palm of his hand. Kakeru making his way over like an obedient dog and sat down beside Utsuro his gaze never changing from the burning city at hand.
- “....Do you think..that it’s possible that they’re going to try and stop it?” There was a small amount of silence that followed that question before Utsuro shook his head. “If they were eager to have stopped things, then they would have done something already, as you can see..they most likely died when the school collapsed.”
- Kakeru spookily nodded his head a small sigh escaping dropping his gaze onto the ground. “That’s true, it’s better than having them mess with our plan..” Utsuro nodded in agreement before his eyes narrowed. “Go, tell them.”
- Kakeru stood up, after that and got ready to start running, but stopped looking back at Utsuro. “What about you, Utsuro?” The ginger only waved his hand, adding on, “Nevermind me, I have things to attend to..go take care of them.” He stated, to which Kakeru nodded and turned running off. Now left alone, Utsuro turned and started walking with a small irritated expression. “I’m going to make sure that they’re dead..”

A fathers betrayal
Juu had spent countless hours and nights staying awake. He had to find his son. He knew he might not have dealt with things in the best of ways but his son was the only family he had. There were countless search troops all over the place and even he had left his place a multitude of times to try and find Tsurugi. It's been a long month... He felt like he was losing hope at this point. Juu was siting at the police station's office muttering nonsense to himself just trying to get his brain and his body kicking again.
How can the chief of police not even find his own son?!
That was one of Tsurugi's upperclassmen walked into the building with a girl trailing behind her. "Hiii! You're Kinjo right? I'm Enoshima, Enoshima Junko." She gave the other her typical bear-grinning smile with her hands on her hips. She truly looked like a queen and he was completely unaware just what she was about to deliver.
"Yes, you two are from class 78. I know the school has gone on lock down since the tragedy started... I'm impressed you're standing in front of me. What do you need?" It must've taken her a lot to get out of the academy and going unnoticed... Especially if there's another person with her.
"Ah... Boo-hoo... trying to cut our time here short... But, I just wanted to tell you... None of class 79 actually made it to the lock down. I was walking around though... and we found this." Junko signaled to Mukuro to give the man the bag Mukuro was holding.
Mukuro placed the bag on the desk and it let out a disgusting squish noise as things moved around liquid seeped through the bag onto the table. It wasn't just any liquid either... Was... Was that blood?!
Juu slammed his fist down on the desk, looking up at Enoshima. "What is the meaning of this?"
"Don't be mad at me Mister Chief of police! I had nothing to do with this! I was walking through the school when I saw the carnage... Next to this was a police badge was found with Tsurugi's name on it. T-This is all that's left of your son! Waaah!" She let out her fake tears to try and push her point.
What. All that.... was left...? He's been searching all this time... Only for his son to have died...? Hesitantly, Juu opened the bag and was greeted with a pile of mush that was once a person. It was definitely pretty aged by now and there were bugs crawling around whatever was left. He almost threw up at the mere smell it had hitting his nose for the first time.
"You know what I think Tsurugi would've liked more then anything? To be close with his father... Even after his death. He did love you dearly after all, what kind of father would deny him that wish? Try and eat it." Junko stared at the males face, she could already tell he was contemplating many things. "What hope is there left anymore? You won't be able to find him with search teams, and now he's landed right back on your desk... in a pile of mush caused by some random criminal probably filled with despair in his final moment. Only despair can tell what a true criminal looks like after all."
Eat... Eat his son...? The thought of it was insane to him! Inhumane! Yet he began crying. Despair... despair can judge true evil...? He felt his mind beginning to slip, everything was a haze before he knew it he was tearing into the bag with his bare hands and he felt the mush enter his mouth. His mind was shouting at him to stop and to throw it up. Tsurugi wouldn't have wanted this! Yet, his body was working against his will. "Haahh..." When he finished his mind was nearly completely numb. "Tsurugi... I'll protect you from hear on out... You're a part of me now..." Tsurugi... His son's name... Everything from his blue hair to the shoes he wore plagued his thoughts.
He'll do whatever he needs to, to keep the world safe for his son.

Sacrifices must be made.
Ah...s-sorry I’m late.
I’m here too!
Thanks for coming. We saved you a seat.
*Chihiro and Alter Ego sit down on a spare seat on the table. The other seats are taken up by Kaede, Shuichi and Yoruko, as well as Miu who just lounges on the sofa.
Is that all of us?
Not yet...Give it a few minutes.
*Eventually, there’s a knock on the front door. Shuichi gets up and let’s the person who arrived in.
Yo.
Oh, hey Setsuka...
I wanted her here to hear this, in case you were curious.
*Shuichi sits down at the end of the table, and faces the group, sans Miu, who is behind him.
Ok, so I’ve called you all here because I wanted to discuss the next phase of the plan...For those who don’t know what’s happened, allow me to recap.
The previous night, Kaede, Miu and I, along with the help of Mii-Yu and Chihiro’s Alter Ego, infiltrated the High Roller cabaret club, and we were able to find evidence of something more serious going on.
*Shuichi pushes some processed photo’s onto the table.
What the heck is this?
This is from a base that’s hidden underneath the cabaret. With this, I think we have two specific reasons for wanting to stop whatever he’s got planned.
From the information we found out, I’ve been able to piece together some information, and I believe I know what Kokichi plans to do.
What’s that?
Kokichi is holding a man hostage down there...The chances are, he’s some kind of programmer.
Down in the base, we found the empty shell of our robot friend Keebo. We tried to activate him, but it didn’t work. He was like a lifeless husk.
So what does Kokichi plan to do with him?
My guess is...He wants to create an Alter Ego, and then upload his Alter Ego into Keebo’s body. Why, I don’t know...but that’s what we’re trying to find out.
That’s not possible.
Why not?
Because I’m the only person who knows how to make an Alter Ego program. Yes, others have done it, but that’s because they stole top secret government research from the information I gave them.
Come on, there must be some way...Maybe he got his hands on the research, handed it to the scientist, and then set him to work.
If that’s the case, why did Kokichi need to bring in the scientist in the first place? If he had the research, then why not just make the AI himself? Mikado did it...
Yeah, but Mikado was a smart enough man and researcher that he knew what to do and when to do it.
But Kokichi’s the same. He’s no scientist, but he’s not short on brains.
Kokichi didn’t steal any research. If any files had gone missing from the Future Foundation database, someone would have mentioned it.
That’s why the man in question down in the base is so important to him...
Wait...so do you know who he’s holding hostage...?
I think so...To be honest, the fact that Chihiro is the only one who knows off by heart how to create the program isn’t exactly true...There IS someone else...
Who!?
...
Taichi Fujisaki...
!!!!!???
!!!!???
Taichi...
Fujisaki...?
Who’s that when they’re at home?
Taichi Fujisaki is an expert programmer who layed the ground work for Artificial Intelligence research...
He’s also Chihiro Fujisaki’s father...
His dad!?
No! No, no, no!
My father is dead! He died in the Demon Hunting Game just like-
“Just like Yuta?”
...!!?
To be honest, I didn’t know if it was possible...Yuta surviving was nothing short of a miracle, but most miracles don’t happen twice...That’s why I wanted to confirm it.
Oh...wait...didn’t you make that call to Towa City yesterday evening?
Yes. It was a call to Komaru and Toko Naegi. I wanted to ask them about the circumstances of Taichi’s “death.”
What they told me was this...The last time they saw him, they were about to enter an elevator, and then Taichi got jumped by a Monokuma beast, that attacked him, and supposedly killed him.
But the next time they went back to the area...his body was gone...
But wouldn’t the Warriors of Hope’s kid minions have just...moved his body?
I thought that was a possibility too, but then I thought more into it.
The Warriors of Hope had people monitor the “Demon’s” so they were aware of their status throughout the whole game...If that was the case, they would have known that Yuta washed ashore...
And yet they didn’t pick up his body...Why is that?
Because he was still alive and therefore didn’t need to be removed from the field?
Yes, but they would have still done it. Komaru Naegi passed out for a whole two weeks in Towa City when the game began, and the whole time, they took care of her in their secret base. I found that out from Nagito.
You really went into this.
This is more important to me than anything else right now...
...
So it’s true...? I-Is my father...still alive?
I....W-We need to save him!
Yeah, we sure do!
I’m down. May as well get him while we’re getting Keebo...
That’s the problem...it’s almost impossible for us to stage a rescue mission.
Why!?
I already got in contact with my boss...That area of the city is within Kisaragi Jurisdiction.
We can’t interfere in that area...
Shit!
Is that why I’m here? You want me to convince Tsurugi to let you in that area?
No, Setsuka, that’s not it...
I need your help...The only thing we can do now, is take what we can get...
We have to convince the Kisaragi Foundation to team up with us.
You really think it’s that easy?
I do actually...kidnapping, strange goings on, hidden areas where illegal deals are going down...That’s not something an astute policeman like Tsurugi can overlook...
And if that fails...We have a bargaining chip...
A bargaining chip?
...
Syobai Hashimoto and Iroha Nijiue are two people the Kisaragi Foundation have been after for years...If we tell Tsurugi their location, the Kisaragi’s won’t hesitate...
Sh-Shuichi!? You’re not saying we sacrifice them, are you!?
Kaede, the motherfucker kidnapped you, it’s what he deserves. Screw his happy ending!
No, I’m with Kaede on this one...Syobai and Iroha may have done some terrible things, but while they work with Kokichi, they’ve remained squeaky clean. We can’t just take that away from them.
I know I’m supposed to look for them and arrest them, but it’ll be a hell unlike any other if they get caught...Whether it’s comparable to the killing game, I don’t know, but what I DO know is I’m nice enough to not want to put them through it..
I agree...As much as I want to save my father, I don’t want to throw them under the bus to do it!
Same here!
Guess we’re outvoted then...
Everyone just calm down...I have no intention of throwing anyone under the bus...I’m just thinking about it logically...
What are you plotting?
The Future Foundation have legally taken hold of the investigation into other universes, more specifically ours where our 53 Killing Game’s happened.
Kokichi is a man from that Universe. Which technically makes him our responsibility. When we capture him, we’ll have to legally be the one’s to deal with him and the Cabaret from then on...
Oh! I get’cha!
Wait, what?
While Syobai and Iroha are wanted by the Kisaragi Foundation, Kokichi, who is wanted by US, is the one in charge right now, which means he takes priority, and thus we get priority over the Kisaragi Foundation...
Not only that, but because he was in charge, that means that the High Roller will become property of the Future Foundation. Which would then mean the Kisaragi Foundation wouldn’t be allowed to go there for business purposes.
Syobai and Iroha could work there, and they’d be untouchable.
That’s genius! Great work Shuichi.
Thanks...But at the same time, it’s risky.
Tsurugi Kinjo didn’t get this far in life by using violence alone. He’s a smart man, and there’s always the possibility he could see right through me, and even bring this case to court.
Right...and he has the sister of the Ultimate Lawyer working for him...It could end badly...
Let’s just hope it doesn’t come to that...
Ok then...Setsuka, I need you to take us to the Kisaragi Foundation’s main building...Please...
Sounds like a plan...I’m here to provide whatever support you need...
Um...I think it might be best if I stay back.
Oh...really?
No, you’re coming.
Why!?
I know you and Minako have your differences, but it’s been a while since you’ve visitied. C’mon, everyone will want to see you.
Nrgh...

The Sisters of Despair
[Back at the Future Foundation]
I see. So the mission was a success?
Partially. I’d hoped to capture Shirogane in the process, but she got away.
I see. Well, thank you for what you’ve done for us, Officer Kinjo.
*The Future Foundation branch chief meeting room is not completely full. Makoto, Hajime, Byakuya, Kyoko, Seiko and Impostor are present. Tsurugi, Rei, Maki and Kaito are taking the open seats.
I am under the assumption that Momota will be staying with you?
That’s the plan. Unless you have any objections?
Of course I don’t. My part in this is over.
On that note...Why don’t you introduce yourself Mr Momota?
Ok, sure.
I’m Kaito Momota: Luminary of the Stars. Even crying children adore the Ultimate Astronaut!
Thanks.
So, I’m guessing I’m gonna be working with you guys from here on out. Don’t know how, but I’ll do whatever I can.
But uh...Sorry, I got one favor to ask. Would you mind uh...taking in one more?
One more? Did you find another one of your old friends at the base alongside Momota?
No, not exactly.
She should be outside. I’ll go get her.
*Rei gets up and leaves. She re-enters a few seconds later with Mii-Yu behind her.
Wh-What the...?
...
This is Mii-Yu. She’s a robot that Tsumugi was holding captive in that building.
A...A Robot?
Yes. That is an accurate description.
Sh-She’s pretty cute!
*Sigh* This is not a development that I expected.
Well, we have space for new recruits in spades. We shouldn’t treat her any differently just because she’s a robot.
I can vouch for Mii-Yu too. She’s pretty capable and helpful.
...
I’ll see if I can work something out.
For now though, thank you Maki Harukawa.
Why are you thanking me? It’s not like I did this for you, you know?
I thank you regardless. You saved lives today.
...
Speaking of lives, there’s a question I had...
Yes?
More specifically...to you, Mr Hinata.
Huh?
Him? Why?
I’ll be blunt...
Is it true that you are Izuru Kamukura?
...!
I...Y-Yeah, it is.
How did you hear that name?
Mii-Yu told me about it. How Kamukura was the leader of the Ultimate Despairs and how he and Hajime were the same person...
And...I think there’s something you should know...
The reserve department...!?
You’re kidding me! All of them!?
No, not quite. Truth be told, I had my men do a sweep of this so-called “graveyard” when we were done with the mission. Supposedly there are over 2000 members of the reserve course, however, we only found 340 pods.
What could they be doing with those students? They aren’t trying to revive them, are they?
I don’t think so. It would be pointless. They clearly have another goal in mind...
Whatever that goal is...I think...
We should put them out of their misery...
Hajime...you mean to say...?
Destroy the lab. And the pods...
Are you sure? You might be sacrificing countless lives, you know?
Nah. Those guys may have been preserved, but they were pretty fucking dead...I don’t think they’re gonna feel it when you blow them up...
...Ms Kirigiri? Is that ok?
...Yes. I’ll see to it.
You needn't worry. We’ve already prepared for it.
Just leave the extermination to us.
Oh. Thank you Officer Kinjo and Ms Mekaru.
You’re welcome. But...
Don’t worry. I intend to uphold my end of the bargain.
We’re using the machines to bring back the people you requested as we speak.
...Thank you Kyoko Kirigiri. You don’t know how much this means to me...I’ll remember this...
In that case...Meeting ajourned.
So like...it’s pretty late now and...well...
...What is it?
Huh?
You want something, right? What is it?
Well...I kinda, just got here, so there’s no way I’ve got a place to live now...
So uh...you’re uh...rooming with Shuichi and Himiko, am I right?
Yes, you can come.
Huh?
You’re going to ask if you can crash tonight, right? Yes, that’s fine by me.
Cool beans! I guess we should probably introduce the gang to Mii-Yu too.
Speaking of which, where is Mii-Yu? Or Tenko for that matter.
She went off chasing Himiko to prove she was alright. Looks like they were really worried about each other...
...
I want to talk to Mukuro next chance I get...About Junko Enoshima.
Sounds good, but be careful. You might upset her if you dig up old crap...
Yeah...
Is something the matter? You seem lost in thought...
Huh? W-Well, I’ve just been very busy lately...and...
Look I...I missed you, ok?
Aw. I missed you too, Maki Roll.
*Kaito pats her head. Maki swats his hand away gently.
I can’t say I relate though. I’ve been locked up in that dumb cell for so long, I gotta move my body some!
It’s smart to take breaks, especially with everything that’s going on in the world...But I understand why you’re antsy.
Then here’s an idea...Shuichi’s under house arrest right now, but if I put a good word in with my boss, then I might be able to set him free for an hour or so.
Oh, I getcha! Training tonight, huh? I’m in!
...
Actually, I wanted to...talk to you about something else...Something...important...
...?
I...promised myself I would say this after the mission was over, and when everyone had a chance to recover...but even I have urges...I uh...
“I love you Kaito...”
Huh!?
That’s what you were gonna say, right?
Or...was I wrong and just made this awkward?
If I made it awkward, go ahead and punch me.
Y-You definitely made it awkward...but you also made it easier...yeah, I was going to say that...
I...I already told you this...moments before you died on me in fact...I just wanted to ask if you remembered that...
Of course I do...
I respect you as a person, no matter how stupid you may be sometimes...And I’d understand if you didn’t like me back, romantically I mean, but...I still had to tell you...
...
Maki Roll. Give me your hand...
Huh?
*Maki slowly gives Kaito her hand. He gently kisses it.
...!
I’m gonna admit it...I’m not the most romantic person out there...And I’m kinda dumb when it comes to relationships...
And I’m not sure if I could make you happy...But it’s like I always say...
The impossible IS possible. All you’ve gotta do, is make it so!
So...I’m definitely gonna try. For you.
...So...my feelings...
aren’t unrequited?
Yeah. Like I said, I love you too...I’m just not that good at showing it...
I ain’t hightailing it outta here while I’ve got people expecting me. That’s just not cool...
...
...Kaito...
*They embrace.

TRASHIMOTO?! He's responsible for Kaede's kidnapping? And if he's out there, what about Iroha?
I’m sorry, is that somebody I should know?
Nah, I don’t know who that is either. Never heard of them before.
He’s a former Hope’s Peak Student, the Ultimate Broker, and he was a participant of the Utsuroshima Killing Game...
Alongside the two of you I think?
Yeah, that’s right.
What kind of person is he?
To put simply? A complete and utter dickhead.
He cares about only two things. Himself, and money. Give him enough cash, he’ll do whatever you want.
Like I said, I don’t think he’s the mastermind behind everything. Syobai’s only ever been suited for henchmen work that pays.
Well, he’s involved...and from what it sounds, he doesn’t sound like a particularly nice person either...
It’s possible Syobai has no relation to the case whatsoever. Whoever is behind all of this may have just payed him for his service, like how Mikado and the Kisaragi Foundation did all those years ago.
And that’s not everything. Wanna guess where his last reported sighting was?
Where?
Apparently, there’s a man uptown who matches his description...
Who works at the High Roller cabaret club.
That’s-
That’s the club Yuta mentioned!
Great. We can now kill two birds with one stone...
You’re going to the High Roller then?
Yeah. In fact, I have a favor to ask you Setsuka.
Will you accompany us? If you’re with us, then we might be able to get something out of him easier. You know him after all.
Sorry kid, that ain’t happening.
Why not?
I can’t go anywhere now without letting Tsurugi and the other Kisaragi members know where I’m going. They’re already confused and agitated enough to know that I’m here of all places.
They’ve been on the hunt for Syobai and his partner Iroha for years, with no leads. As soon as they find out we know his location, they’ll rush in and arrest him, and you’ll lose whatever leads you have.
But...Surely we can reason with Officer Kinjo?
Kid, think about what you just said. Tsun-Tsun is the least reasonable man on this goddamn planet. He always has been. You were lucky enough to get his help on that mission a few months ago.
But if we go by ourselves then-
You won’t be going by yourselves.
Huh?
I’m going with you. I know Syobai just as well as Setsuka, and I cut most of my ties with Kisaragi quite a while ago.
Besides, I have some things I wanna say to him.
Mind if I come too? I might not be much help, but I want to assist you in any way I can.
I feel I owe it to Ms Hasami...
I’m ok with that.
Great. We’ve got a team, and an objective. We head out tomorrow evening.

Kanade, wounds heal, scars fade, and without you to keep applying them Hibiki will eventually recover, she'll move beyond you, and when she dies, she's going to a very different place than you, and while *we* can only execute you once, well, whatever Hell is waiting for you on the other side has an eternity to make you pay for everything you've done.
Wound can also reopen, you know. Doesn’t matter if I’m around or not. Hibiki has such a weak and fragile complex, there’s nothing you can do that’ll heal her. If it’s not me, she’ll be doing it to herself.
And even if you somehow do heal her, all it’ll take is one bad day and it’ll aaaalll come crashing back down. Back to a state where she doesn’t have to see just what a shitty world we live in. Besides, why would I go to hell? I didn’t do anything wrong.
I was just protecting her, like a good sister should. I’m the only family she has, after all. You can all talk about how great it is that she’ll be rid of me, but are you so sure that’s what she wants?
You’d all love nothing more than to execute me, I’m sure. And in that case, by all means, go for it. Why don’t we see what happens?
That won’t be for a long time yet. You’re going to a higher-security ward for now. That means no more visitors.
Aww, really? That’s a shame.
Well, everybody, guess I’m gonna have to say bye for now. Officer Kinjo wants to spoil our fun. I did enjoy talking with you all though. And don’t worry...
You’ll see me again soon.
Let’s go already.
*Tsurugi escorts her out of the room*

Hey Tsurugi, before you interrogate Masaru’s dad, show is your scariest face! We need to see what we’re working with. Maybe we can offer some pointers to make you EXTRA intimidating!
*Friday, July 12th, National Police Agency HQ, Tokyo, evening*
Where is he?
Officer: Interrogation Room 5. And we’ve also got word that the Commissioner, your father, is on his way.
My father? What’s he need from us down here?
Officer: Nothing. He wants to speak to you directly.
Alright. Tell him I’ll be right there.
____________________________________
Son.
-Kinjo Juu: Police Commissioner-
Father! I was just on my way to speak with Daimon-san.
We finally caught him in the act today. He put his own son in the hospital, and it’s about time we can finally get some information out of him.
I’d heard. Great work today, and it looks like I caught you at the perfect time.
We’ve had so many blocked investigations into these parents, and I’m getting sick of waiting. We need as much as information as we can get as soon as possible, otherwise I’m not sure what might happen to those kids. So, I’ve decided I’m giving you carte blanche on this assignment.
Carte blanche? You mean...
Do whatever you can to get it out of him. Remember he’s just a criminal, so don’t be afraid to get tough if you have to. Those kids are counting on whatever you can dig out of this guy.
I’m sure you’ll get it done, right?
...
Whatever it takes, I’ll get it out of him.

What's that way? As long as it doesn't involve "sacrificing" anyone, I'm sold.
I’ve noticed something here...You see how the pads themselves look like IPads?
Yes...That much is plain to see.
Hey! That’s my line!
Well, there’s one thing we’re misunderstanding here...This pad doesn’t have 5 buttons. It actually has 6.
6? Wait...are you talking about the home screen button?
I already tried pressing that. There’s no home screen to go to.
No, that’s not what it’s for. I spotted something on the home button that I thought was a bit of dust...but then I looked closer...
Looked...closer...?
*Kaito looks closer at the pad and sees something...
Wait, she’s right! There’s something on the home screen button!
Scanning...Producing an image now...
*To everyone’s surprise, Mii-Yu scans the picture and then a folding monitor comes out of her stomach. It shows the image on the pad in a bigger scale.
This is the image on the home button...
That’s-!?
Aw shucks...Looks like you figured it out.
Wait, there’s a button with Shirogane on it? What does it do?
It does what the rest of the buttons do. It allows us to vote for the person on it.
Y-You mean...we can actually vote for Tsumugi!?
Yes, as a matter of fact, you can. Press that button and it’ll count as a vote to leave me behind...
Then that’s perfect! We just need to-!
No! That’s not what we should do!
K-Kinjo? What are you talking about?
Don’t you see? This is all part of a trap!
A...trap?
What are you talking about?
Assuming that button works the same as the others, that means it’s a part of the game...
However, do you recall what Shirogane said herself? The person who receives the most votes won’t be allowed to leave the lab.
Wh-Which means...I-If we vote for Shirogane!
Then we won’t be able to capture her! If we vote for her to stay here, she escapes and we lose our chance to stop her!
B-But...won’t she be trapped down here?
I’m not that stupid. I have a way out that only I can use.
Vote for me, and we all go away happy. Myself included...
...
Well...whatever...
Huh?
Yeah, capturing Tsumugi and getting her to face justice is important...
But so is seeing the light of day again. I just got rescued, and I ain’t about to sacrifice someone in my stead. Not even you guys.
I agree with Kaito. Tsumugi is an issue, but while we can’t get her now, we will eventually.
It hurts me just as much as you do, but I would rather get out of here alive than leave my first ever friends in a state of despair by sacrificing myself...
I made a promise to someone I love...That I would come back alive, uninjured...My ghost depends on it!
Someone you love? You mean-?
ASHUSHUSHUSH!
...
Tsurugi...I’m sorry, but I agree with them.
I swear to you, I will do whatever is within reason to help you bring Shirogane to justice...But we need to get out alive first and foremost...
...
Ok, time’s up! Time to vote!
*Everyone takes a few seconds to press the buttons. When they’re done, Tsumugi’s own pad makes a noise and she looks down at it.
I see...the results are as followed.
Everyone voted for me! How splendid!
...I would have been overruled regardless...I figured there was no point...
Thank you...Tsurugi...
Yeah, yeah...
Now, we upheld our end of the bargain. Give us the key!
...Sure...here...
*Tsumugi tosses an elevator key to Maki, who catches it.
Just so you know, we’re taking your robot with us.
Tch...You can take that hunk of junk and do whatever you want with it. I almost got killed by a robot...Again!
...
Don’t listen to her Mii-Yu...
Ok...Sorry...
Still though, this was a really engaging story arc. Someone ought to turn this into a fanfic one day...
What are you on about now?
It’s just...It’s such a classic tale, isn’t it? A girl going above and beyond to save the one that she loves...
I’m practically moved to tears!
The one she loves? I suppose I didn’t really know much about Harukawa and Momota’s relationship...
Th-That is...!
We’re best friends and she’s one of my sidekicks.
...Yeah...that...
Hm...Yeah, I guess that’s right...After all...
Your feelings for Kaito are just another one of your character traits...
...Don’t you dare say that...That’s not true.
And you know that how? Face it Maki, that’s the type of character that you’re written to be...You can never love anyone. Not Kaito...
*SWOOSH*
And not me either...
!!!!!!!???
Who...the hell?
