Hob was new to the city, so during his first full moon he put on his "collar" and walked about in his wolf-skin. Mostly he looked like a big dog and he chose a werewolf friendly city to move to, so he figured he wouldn't be hassled too much.

While walking about Hob smelled something delicious! Following the smell lead to a tall pointy fence, but Hob wasn't going let a fence stop him,,,he jumped. Hob landed in a garden (only scraping his side a little).

The garden wasn't what he was smelling, though, as nice as it was. Hob continued to following the smell around the corner of a house where he came upon a pup and its father.

They were his smell!

Hob didn’t want to startle them too much, so he yipped from a distance. If wolves could sheepishly wave, Hob would have.

The larger wolf started to growl, when the pup shot out and started (cutely) yipping at Hob, wagging his tail and poking Hob with his nose.

Papa!wolf quickly changed back into his human form, sighing Orpheus; Hob used that as his signal to change back himself.....apologizing for intruding,, to the still fantastic smelling (beautiful) man.

Hob was screwed.

Himbo werewolf Hob!!! I love him!!! Also Hob in a collar... ajsjdbdhshs ANYWAYS.

Of course Orpheus is desperate to play with his new friend, the big fluffy brown wolf who is twice as broad as his dad. See, his dad is very protective, so Orpheus doesn't have a whole lot of friends to play with, either in wolf or human form! He wants to play!!!

Dream grumbles under his breath but agrees that Orpheus can play with Hob. Only five minutes, though. Hob quickly shifts back to wolf form and immediately engages in tag, play fighting, even a fun chasing game with a football! Little by little, Dream is also pulled into the game, until the play-fighting ends with Orpheus and Dream successfully pinning Hob’s big fluffy body against the ground. They caught him! And Hob has never been more pleased to be caught, it's fair to say.

Unfortunately Hob can't stay forever (and he's polite enough to excuse himself instead of waiting for Dream to shoo him away). But Dream surprises him by inviting him to stop by for dinner after the full moon is over and done with. For Orpheus's sake, obviously - it has nothing to do with the fact that Hob smells so good and is so handsome with his hair messed up and dirt on his face. He just deserves a proper welcome to the neighbourhood. Or something.

Hob accepts the invitation and apologises again for just jumping into Dream’s garden, but Dream just snuffles against him and gives his ear an affectionate nibble. So Hob is starting to think that following his nose wasn't such a bad idea after all...!

I just finished my second playthrough of Jedi Survivor and WOW!! The story hits even harder the second time. I came across your photos and just want to say they're amazing!! I'm new to virtual photography but I literally spent half the time this run just taking photos of everything because the game is so pretty

It really does!! Sequels are always challenging, and continuing the incredible journey from Fallen Order (while also setting up a third game) is no small ask. Survivor definitely isn't perfect, but I appreciate Respawn's ambition to challenge Cal and further develop the themes that began in FO.

And thanks! I also spend half the time running around just taking photos hah. Such a good looking game! And good looking characters! i actually have written it with damitim before (lol, actually, i went through my damitim idea notes the other day and i have apparently written down 3 separate hanahaki ideas for them, so apparently that’s a heavy association for me).

i adore hanahaki, just like… in general, and i recently saw this take on hanahaki a while back & it just… i love the angst of it being unrequited (or assumed unrequited), but i love even more that what kills you isn’t the lack of returned love, but the keeping it to yourself. (is it because i love pining? probably)

specifically with those ships though—still a yes!

i love the idea of it being tim—the flowers first germinating in his childhood, and growing slowly, slowly, slowly over time until he’s coughing up petals. i think with dick he wouldn’t even be surprised—maybe just that it took so long. with jason it would be more shocking, especially if he’s still in denial that he is feeling things.

but! it going in the reverse…

dick waking up one day and taking notice of tim, all pretty and bad ass and independent. or not even really knowing he’s taken notice; just. being flashed a smile and tasting something floral and realizing, oh no.

jason falling incrementally. he notices it happening, maybe tries denial at first before giving up and accepting his fate. pining quietly and unobtrusively until those first petals come. thinking about how much lovelier a grave covered in flowers would be—or maybe how, once again, he’s dying for a want of love…

I think music ties into the way I experience the world in general -- and that includes the people I love, yes! I definitely have at least one song/singer/even genre I associate to each important person in my life -- and sometimes even to recent friends or acquaintances. I also do this with characters and stories I love, but that's a bit more common, I believe 😂 oh, if someone were to burn a CD especially for me I'd propose marriage right then and there, ngl :')

I think you're spot on about the second assumption too, although it feels like something that should be confirmed from an outside source. I know I tend to pick up on accents very quickly -- whenever I spend even half an hour with someone who has a different accent than mine, I end up speaking just like them for a quite a while! 😂 it's not an intentional thing, just a thing I do, and it has been pointed out to me several times! Speech patterns and quirks fall into the same umbrella for me -- I pick them up easily and remember them well. And whenever I think about it, I have a lot of fun picking them apart and figuring out which phrases and cadences make someone sound like themselves :)

it was literally like 80 percent remakes and remasters.

never in my life have i seen an announcement video exist just to say "every game you've ever known since the 90s is being remade/remastered, sorry, we ran out of originality".

literally like all the video game market is anymore is remakes and the movie industry is just as bad.

the nso releases are fine because they're not like, remakes taking up full game slots. they're old games that are being made accessible and that's great... but there's no need to remake this many games when they can do that. remakes used to be rare. remember stuff like the wii u shop and stuff? with all the games they had on those things? now it's a tiny selection and everything else is a remake :/

also I feel like a lot of new rpgs are just like... lowkey fe knockoffs now instead of original rpgs.

i'm happy for like... two existing remakes, but one of them is mario rpg which people wanted waaaaAAAAAYYYY before the remake and remaster era, and the other is baten kaitos which im not actually happy about remaster-wise (the updated ui is trash, they took out very specific charms of the original ui), just happy that it will get more recognition/notice from people since it was never popular.

they also completely removed the english voice acting which like okay yeah it wasn't always that great but the voices fit perfectly and it wasn't as bad as fans meme on it for! it just sounded like they were talking through a tube and that was actually the worst part of it lol.

someone suggested to me that they may have just lost the data for it, but idk. i wish they'd just admit that somehow if it was the case, because it bugs me that the english audio is just completely gone when ultimately i really liked it. i wanted the game to be accessible to newer players, sure, but i also wanted the english audio there. ig that's because i grew up with it and i liked it, but it's still such a bummer for me!

paper mario being put on the nso and tyd getting a whole remaster does make me sad tho bc it feels like they're leaving the original in the dust when it was so good. if you're gonna do tyd, at least do them both.

good for innersloth though, i'm sure they never imagined being on a nintendo direct. they're the real winners here.

I was replaying kh1 today and it really hit me how much Sora has absolutely no fucking idea what he’s doing when he stabs himself with Ansem/Riku’s keyblade. Like, he saw this thing used all of one time, and it turned Maleficent into a massive dragon consumed by darkness. He had zero way of knowing that it would free Kairi’s heart. He even takes a pretty nonchalant attitude about it all and is just kind of like, “hmm… I wonder if that might work,” before he just commits and stabs himself with the thing.

I seriously just can’t get over how risky that was and how badly it could have turned out. Sora’s just a kid, and he was pretty much willing to sacrifice himself just for the small chance that he might be able to separate Kairi’s heart from his.

thinking about my splat OCs again now

#also I really want splatoon 3 now but. there are too many video games I want so like… I need to choose between splat 3 or the kirby that #came out a while ago and I was really set on the kirby but now I’m unsure 😔 #ANYWAY #so I probably will be changing up some stuff with my old OCs since some older stuff about them I’m kinda ehh on #names and general personality stuff are gonna be the same tho #that said tho. main thing is new agent oc time. #my new agent 3 is gonna be an inkling/octoling hybrid I think. and their name will either be dana or ram. #dana would be the name that makes the most sense species wise cause it’s taken from the Dana Octopus Squid #but I have a bit of soft spot for idea of the name Ram (from Ram’s Horn Squid) cause I think it fits with the prominence of mammals in the #story…. #*for the idea of #also my new agent 3 will probably be agent 9 for my OCs? I’m a bit unsure whether my old agent 3 would be willing to let someone else take #that agent name. though I think it’d have interesting implications for her character and development… since my agent 3 is very much one that #considers their status as an agent as a large part of their identity/refers to herself more as ‘agent 3’ than her actual name #idk. lots to think about. #dramon thoughts

I feel like the Hbomberguy plagiarism video has a lot of really good lessons about building an argument. Like, the thesis of the video isn't just "Plagiarism is rife on Youtube", although that point was certainly well made, it was specifically about James Somerton, who isn't mentioned until about halfway through the video. Before then, Hbomb goes through several creators who are already widely discredited as plagiarists, and in each section he introduces concepts that are later incorporated into the final takedown of Somerton, but each section also stands on it's own. Like, he starts with Filip, the game reviewer, which he uses to introduce the format of how he will discuss and expose plagiarists. Specifically, the graphic of displaying the source material while the plagiarist's voice plays, and marking up said source material every time the plagiarist changes some wording slightly. This is the method that Hbomb uses across the entire video. With Illuminaughtii, Hbomb introduces a few major concepts 1) The idea of Insufficient citation. Illuminaughtii "Cites" her sources by putting a plaintext pastebin link in her video descriptions with no indication of how each source was used. Technically, her source is CITED, but not in any relevant or useful way. She has a big list of stuff she read, and a random youtube link in there happens to be the source that she stole 90% of the video from. 2) He introduces the profit motive behind this approach. Putting out a lot of content very quickly is how one builds an audience, and therefore an income, out of making stuff on youtube. Plagiarism of this sort is a way to produce content very quickly and build a following. The Internet Historian section introduces two new concepts:

1) The behavior of an exposed plagiarist, taking down and reuploading videos with minor changes, awkwardly trying to insert credit without admitting guilt. 2) That the plagiarists are stealing not just research, but STYLE. Previous sections go over how the plagiarists are reusing the same words, but this section oozes over how much of the final product's quality was the result of how well the source material was written. TIH didn't just crib the notes from the Mentalfloss article, he created a video heavily dependent on the original author's skill as a writer. When TIH tried his own hand at presenting the same set of facts, it came out much worse. So that when the time comes for the Somerton takedown, Hbomb has already laid the groundwork to bring these concepts back. Somerton takes down and reuploads videos when he's caught, he declares this his video is "based on" work by somebody else without providing proper citation. He's not just stealing research done by somebody else, he's taking their insights and talent as a writer and regurgitating it as his own, and he's doing so to churn out a vast wall of content that he can financially benefit from, and he doesn't need to tell you why this is important, because he's already done so. He already convinced you that Illuminaughtii hiding a line in a pastebin didn't excuse her plagiarism, so you don't need to be told why Somerton saying his video is "Based On" somebody else's book doesn't excuse it.
