I would also like to see some miphlink, if that's okay!
I was really struggling with what to draw, and then I remembered your ask from ages ago (dang ADHD brain...) anyway, sorry its such a late answer, but Miphlink inspired by Dicksee's La Belle Dame

silly episode idea but hear me out
okay well the first part isn’t silly! so the episode is based around a con they are doing where a polyam triad wants to get married and have been writing to senators and stuff for years but nothing has happened. maybe there is a time element that leeway has to happen soon (not sure what that would be yet, maybe someone is sick???)
(obviously polycules aren’t only and are often more than just a closed three-person system, but I’m saying triad right now bc I feel like that would be an easier and more ‘socially acceptable’ gateway into more accepting legislation for diverse relationship dynamics)
the leverage crew, of course, can’t outright change the public perception of poly marriage, but they can use the ‘enemy’s’ tactics against them and slip stuff into legislation without people noticing like they do. it’s slimy and it’s not a permanent fix, but it’s a start, and it gives people the opportunity to see poly marriage in action and that it isn’t as terrifying or pearl-clutching-inducing as they think it would be. there’s a long way to go, but the seeds of change have been sown and they will make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible
this is one of the cases that they will monitor on the back burner over time. some cons can finish within a few hours (the bottle job), and some things they will follow over time and make adjustments when needed- amplify voices and expose corrupt politicians etc
and then it’s just after 3/4 of the way through but the con has been finished? what is going on? this is where the silliness comes in
the camera turns to the ot3 and…
hardison, pulling out three individualized rings: I know it’s not legal yet, and we have the necklaces, but I think rings would be a nice touch
eliot, pulling out an intricately carved box that also has three self-handcrafted rings: dammit hardison (with feeling and tenderness, and damp eyes)
parker, pulling out three very stolen rings from her pocket: does this mean we’re getting triple married if we all have three rings???
harry pops into the conversation (practically vibrating) excitedly just casually mentioning that he’s a notary and would be honored to marry them to each other if they wanted to
(they do)
wait, did I say silly? I meant unwaveringly tender and heartwarming

so what chapter of the comic will have Freya unintentionally grabbing glen like the little snack he is and he's just super embarrassed by it- because I am totally headcannoning that the recent draws of him in somebody's hand is just Freya's.
Love ur headcanon - neither would be able to contain themselves lol

Hey all!
It's been a very long time since I made a post on this blog (I do keep an eye on everything from afar) but I wanted to share something really cool and very special that happened!
Over the weekend I went to MCM Comic Con in London and I had the privilege of meeting Andrew Scott (I still can't quite believe it!)
He was so SO lovely and the entire experience was just amazing. I got to gush about how much I love his work and how much it helped me through some of my own life experiences being Bi and Trans - he listened so intently to everything I had to say and asked me so many questions, it was just wonderful to have that time with him and I feel very lucky.
After we had a chat he signed the beautiful print above for me and took such care in writing me a lovely message that just really warmed my heart. He really is just such a wonderful caring person and I will pass on to you all what he said to me as I left his table: "Don't stop making your tribe bigger." Surround yourself with people who can support you and who you can support in turn, love people and be loved because there can never be too much love in the world. I know how kind-hearted you all are, and I couldn't be more thankful for this little space we've created in our corner of the internet.
Thank you all.
Love and Hugs,
Max

I should've been working on my thesis today, but instead I've been thinking about clones. I did also work on my thesis just not as much as I probably should have.
I finally reached the part of Clone Wars where the Bad Batch are introduced and watched it twice and I have some Thoughts. Since you all seemed to like my May 4th post (seriously, it's still getting new notes every day, what's with that? - not a complaint) I figured I'd share.
I will warn you right now: It may become clear in this post that I'm studying Communication, and also that I find Words and How People Use Them really interesting.
So. Okay. We all like Cody, right? He's a good guy. He spends a lot of time with Kenobi, and also Skywalker, so some snark is to be expected, but over all he seems like a nice guy (not to be mistaken for a Nice Guy TM, which is something completely different and not actually very nice at all). It's also made clear that he's worked with the Batch several times before, and that the Batch all seem to like him well enough, for a reg, anyway.
Cody introduces the Batch to Rex as "defective clones, with... desirable mutations". Defective. From a guy who seems to at least respect them, and have earned their respect in turn.
It makes me wonder... How often have the Batch heard that word? How many times have they been called something even worse? Sure, they weren't around to overhear it this time, but that doesn't mean aren't sometimes, or that other people won't say it to their faces.
And what almost makes it worse is, I don't think Cody meant anything bad by it. It wasn't an insult, just a word, a fact - a way to describe them that Rex would understand. An Rex probably doesn't see it as an insult to them either; a cause for concern, maybe, but not too bad, because Cody clearly trusts them to get this job done. And Rex seems to respect 99, too; another 'defective' clone (see his comment about naming them Cloneforce 99 'a nice touch') (idr if Cody is ever seen interacting with 99 or talking about him or giving away an opinion one way or another, but probably he liked 99 just fine too).
What I'm getting at is... Just because Cody and Rex don't use 'defective' as an insult, that doesn't change the fact that it is a negatively charged word, especially when directed at clones, who are people, but often treated more like droids; where defect means damaged, means not worth it, means decommissioned, means dead, in one way or another. And the fact that the word is so commonplace that good guys like Rex and Cody use it so flippantly... That must be really fucking hard, to live with that moniker hanging over your heads all the time, no matter how good you are at what you do (A 100% success rate doesn't happen accidentally - that's what happens when you can't afford to be anything less than perfect). No wonder they try to turn it around; wear it like armor: Yeah, we're a "bad batch" but we're still here.
Honestly, "regs" seems kind in comparison.

tell me abt pruk proposal headcanons
Yessssss, thank you!!!!! Hopefully at least some people agree with me on this, if not do feel free to tell me your headcanons ✨
PrUK Proposal Headcanons:
I lean more towards Gilbert being the one to propose. Partially because I think he’s the more traditional of the two.
However, Arthur would definitely enjoy having a physical reminder that Gilbert is his (for himself and everyone else).
Regardless of who asks, the actual proposal would be something private though.
I’ve seen other takes on this but I just cannot imagine Gilbert wanting to make a big spectacle about something so personal to him. (I also think Arthur would probably be slightly mortified if they had a crowd of people watching them.)
I could see the proposal being a spur of the moment thing. Like Gilbert’s had the idea of marriage on his mind for a while, debating if he really wants that or not, and it all just clicks into place while he’s watching Arthur do something mundane, like washing the dishes or putting away some groceries, so he just blurts it out because he realises he wants to spend the rest of his life with this man.
In that scenario, Arthur would probably look slightly bewildered and assume he was joking until Gilbert doubles down on it. And ring or not, of course Arthur will marry him.
Another way I could see it going is Gilbert actually asking friends advice and actually planning a nice date, or a fancy dinner at home where he pops the question near the end or something.
Oh actually! I could see him doing both, like he asks him first in the heat of the moment and then goes and gets a ring in secret and plans out a nice proposal because he knows that the kind of thing Arthur would love (even if he’d deny caring about that kind of thing).
I actually like the idea of him doing both because I don’t really view Gilbert as someone whose especially romantic? I’m still working this out… but I don’t think Gilbert goes out of his way to do anything romantic, it just wouldn’t cross his mind. Yet if he sees a flower stall he’ll stop and buy Arthur flowers, because Arthur likes flowers. (On the walk home he might realise and declare the most romantic person ever but I don’t see him thinking about it in the moment beyond a ‘oh Arthur would like that.’)
The only reason I think he’d plan a proper proposal at all is because Arthur would like it and if he’s going to propose anyway he wants to make Arthur as happy as possible (and Arthur’s a romantic sap) whereas Gilbert never put thought into that type of thing and would be just as happy being asked while they watch telly, do you get me? (I might change my mind on this but idk I think I’m making sense.)
I could definitely see Arthur proposing in bed after convincing Gilbert to have a lazy morning with him instead of getting up at the crack of dawn and Gilbert would be more than happy with that. Could also see him planning a day to just spoil Gilbert and do everything he likes before asking him to marry him which is probably the more likely option…
Ahh imagine, Arthur would be acting at least slightly nervous the whole day and denying it whenever Gilbert questions him on it and he’s just getting more and more concerned until Arthur finally just bloody asks him and he’s so realised and happy… it’d just be cute yeah?
Or they could also just get drunk, one of them pops the question and suddenly they’re married in vegas or something lol.

Jack Murdock undeniably loved both of his boys but it doesn’t change the fact that he definitely played favorites and abused Mike.
Like, if it wasn’t obvious, dragging your son into a ring while you’re pissed off, throwing him a couple boxing gloves and – while your son is actively protesting fighting you – punching him, is abuse. That wasn’t Jack teaching Mike to fight. That was abuse.
It’s sad that Mike had to have certain truths thrust on him way before Matt did.
He never had the illusion that Jack was a strongly moralized father. He didn’t have the illusion of Maggie being dead. Mike never got to think that Jack was proud of him.
And it’s these illusions that heavily contributed to Matt becoming the person he did. It’s the lack of them that heavily contributed to Mike becoming who he did.

I'm not sure if you've answered anything like this before, but do you have any thoughts about what dnd classes/races some of the fae tales characters would be?
Hi anon!
I have thought about it, but it's a pretty big/overwhelming thing to think about it.
I know for a while there was a Homebrew Fae Tales Dungeons & Dragons Discord server (with campaign/s). I don't know if it's still running, but people definitely found their way through that. Idk if any are on Tumblr, but if they are they could potentially share their thoughts about it as well. Since they were the ones who creatively figured it out!
Back when I was more actively playing Dungeons & Dragons I was starting to noodle on a homebrew but it was very like...overwhelming, and so I quickly kind of stepped away from it. I wasn't necessarily applying it to my characters though, I was actually trying to figure out how to change D&D to fit Fae Tales lmao.
Though it's funny to think about Eran as some kind of Paladin or Cleric because of his connection to Kabiri. (Though probably Paladin, especially because he literally gets given a Holy Quest at the end of The Ice Plague III lol).
But yeah I don't really like kind of forcing Fae Tales fae species into D&D races, so I went the other direction, and tried to figure out how waterhorses / Seelie + Unseelie etc would work in D&D instead. And afaik, that's what the Fae Tales homebrew group were doing too.
