My Demon: he need to hold her wrist to use his power since his tattoo (the source of his power) is now on her wrist. Ergo, if he doesn't hold her wrist, he cannot access his demon power.

So, these 2 dramas have similar vibes, but different mechanism on how this holding hand/wrist works. And believe me, I ache for BOTH.

Moving

Moving went from:

A high school drama

to superheroes

to spy thriller

to bromance

to slow burn romance

to Kill Bill level action gore

to slice of life showing the most heartwarming moments between the adults and kids,

to the ultimate enemy stand-off,

to tragic backstories of the so called villains,

to found family

to much needed family reunions!

Moving aced all genres and emotions!

Moving has reshuffled my entire all time favourite Kdrama list - Kingdom stays at the Top, Moving comes second, followed by Hot Stove League and Reply 1988.

I have so much to write , so much to unpack - I’m rewatching it and will keep posting my thoughts!

I so love this drama and every single member of the cast! Everyone nailed the role they were given - big or small!

My Demon Kdrama (2023)

Of all the things I wanted to say about the Kdrama My Demon (2023), let me say three things I love the most:

Jeong Gu-won and Do Do-hee may just be one of the least toxic fictional couples there is. Even when they're confronted with shocking realizations and memories, they play it cool. It's quite a contrast to Song Kang's character in Nevertheless, Park Jae-eon. I hated his character's toxicity in that show. 😆

The demon's persona was not sugar-coated in this show. He is cold and calculating and won't blink twice to fulfill his mission, regardless of the cost. Those clocks in his office representing all the active deals he made with humans are a testament to that.

Just when you think something has been resolved, a new conflict arises. Hence, it's not like other shows where everything gets magically resolved in the last few episodes; sometimes it feels dragging too slow at the beginning and concluding too fast at the end. Uh, uh, not My Demon. There's an exciting twist to think about in almost every episode of this show.

That said, I rewatched it almost immediately after I finished watching. ✌🏻

The 8 Show (2024, South Korea)

Director & Writer: Han Jae Rim (based on the webtoons by Bae Jin Soo)

Mini-review:

Well, that was a ride. It wasn't perfect by any means, with its main problem being an incredibly uneven pacing, but I just couldn't stop watching. The cast is amazing enough to keep you hooked. In particular, Chun Woo Hee seemed like she was having the time of her life playing her role. But one thing's for sure: this show is not for the squeamish. I didn't expect it to take things so far, to showcase such cruel and mean types of violence. While I guess that was sort of the point, it's so unsubtle that the main themes of the story tend to get lost in the shuffle. Anyway, The 8 Show is fantastically acted and pretty entertaining, even if its lack of subtlety and violent sense of humor won't be for everyone.

Ep9 My demon and the story of park marriage contract short review

I think my demon writernim and the story of park marriage contract writernim sit on the same table while writing the script.

It's like u use first I use later

Ep9 it's like here some sweets..and now some pain at the end

The sweet part in both drama is top notch especially for my demon the bed scene and the piggyback ride and the story of park is the backhug and kiss at home and field.

Nonetheless someone has to die in both drama..like u can't choose

Do hee has to die for gu won power if not he will die..but in preview guwon making bets with god that he will choose both which we will see in ep 10

Yeon woo has to leave new joseon if want tae ha to live as he will die if she stay.

So yup prepare our heart as the graph is descending ..the pain era has arrived

Comparable to: When the Camilla Blooms (kdrama);

Wholesome, beautiful, fluffy, and just top quality. It’s a short kdrama being four episodes with one hrs long each, so it’s very easy to binge right through the whole series. It’s a light fluffy romantic drama that focuses on bullying and healing. The main leads did an outstanding performance in their roles (chemistry is off the charts oof) as did the supporting, the child was so adorable. It’s a very nice hidden gem and definitely a recommendation to romance fans.
