I love your comic. But I don't understand one thing...

Why is the Hidden City Council helping Bishop?

From what I remember it's impossible to distinguish between a mutant and a yokai. And I don't see any interest in it for the Council to fight mutants. So why?

If this is some kind of spoiler to the story to I will understand if you leave it unanswered

Okay, theres a lot to say here and while it's mostly head canon, its all based on evidence in show or how the real world works, but we'll start with this. Yokai and Mutants are definitely not the same thing. Like, at all.

Mutants, unlike yokai, were literally genetically designed by Draxum. Of course, it's more of a broad design with most of them, but the boys had a genetic donor hand-picked. They are war machines.

Mutants, are specifically made to be weapons.

Yokai... while it's said that the empyrean is the cause of them, that was said unofficially outside the show, therefore we don't take it as canon. We've also said before that we head canon empyrean as more as a mystic enhancer.

Taking into account Japanese folklore, which has been around far longer than the point the kraang has been assumed to arrive, as well as the life span yokai have. Big mama probably isn't exaggerating when she says they've been around for eons.

While we can only find this on the wiki and can't remember an episode where this is mentioned(it might be made up), but an individual yokai ages 10:1 relative to a human. This means Baron Draxum is in his 400's-500's. This means that the yokai world, with how developed it is, has been around for a long, long time.

If we look at how the boys are aging... at best they have human life spans, but if we look at mikey in the movie he has aged much, much more than the others. Mikey species of turtle can live to 100 (making him the longest lived of the bunch), but with how using mystics seems to age him... yeah. (but, it could be from not being trained properly) (also, with this aging side efect, if it's common, yokai might actually live for even longer if they didn't use mystics. Barry could just be in his 300 or something.)

Mutants don't age like yokai.

Also, indistinguishable???? (i mean that's what a lot of the humans in residuum will think, but-) Mutants are just... like, animal but make it human(if they have a human component). Yokai are much, much more diverse with body plans than mutants are. Mother fcking bone man??? skin man????? multiple limb, multiple eyes. literal orcs and dragons and slime people and-

Yokai aren't designed. (i mean they are, by an artist, but not in world)

So, in the world of residuum, if you sequence their dna, they are completely different. But thats not even getting into the bag of worms that is the mechanics of Mutant DNA.

Now for why the hidden city is helping... Look at me in the eye. Look at me in the eye and tell me a government wouldn't want to get their hands in that sweet, sweet biological weapon pie. Anyway.

If you really pay attention to the yokai presence on the surface in the show you'll notice that... every single yokai on the surface, with exactly two exceptions, has a connection with crime. The ones that don't, are usually hiding from something. With that... It's pretty obvious to me that yokai on the surface would generally be considered criminals by those in the hidden city.

Why would the hidden city care about what happens to some random criminal?

Another thing is that if a yokai is on the surface, they're typically cloaked, so not really at risk of being captured. Draxum is literally just hanging out, tormenting teenagers in a lunchroom. His whole situation just... out there. It was a given that they were going to mistake him for a mutant.

(of course this isn't mentioning the fact that the hidden city police are opportunistic at best, and apathetic at worst. With how big mama is just able to do basically whatever she wants, the hidden city government doesn't actually seem to care that much about their crime problem. They only really started condemning Draxum once he got their presence exposed to the public. Like really? Just one agent on the guy making biological super weapons? Okay.)

(also, also. in residuim the hidden city is considered a sovereign state, thus yokai have documentation and rights and political power. It's mystics guys. They would have so much political power, oh my god. its just more convenient for them to stay hidden really.)

also, racism is a thing. Yokai aren't like.. immune

oh my gods the fuckin childishly drawn scene near the beginning where theyre dreaming about their 'impossible' future is. IT COMES TRUE!!!! almost. BECAUSE THE CHILDISHLY DRAWN VERSIONS OF THEM HAD SIXPACKS, ABHAHAHEBRBDJGJKE THAT IS SO FUCKING FUNNY TO ME-

Back to the art! it was all so... 3d... which is a bit of a redundant statement, considering that i watched the movie in 3d, BUT. it was so... lively ! they were all so animated (pun intentional)!! its such a UNIQUE artstyle and is so amazing and wonderful Ɛ>Ɛ>Ɛ>

im. i dont draw so i cant rly properly marvel at the wondrousness of the art, BUT AS SOMEONE WHO KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT ART??? ITS SO FUCKING PRETTY AND BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

oh and all the little connections and references and parallels to the other iterations of tmnt!!! their goofy-ass belts w their initials, splinter being like... was it 2003 splinter that was originally a rat instead of a human? OH the movie also kinda reminded me of bay tmnt in some ways! cant rly explain it... but there are connections to all the other shows and movies and its so cool ... (not pointing out any rise or 2012 connections because theyre just so INHERENT??? mm is, in a way, kinda like if rise were 2012. BUT ALSO NOT. BECAUSE ITS A SEPARATE THING. but its one way to describe it.)

but also, quickly going back to aprileo thing, i dont. im not into it. leo, i support your rights and wrongs, TRUST ME I DO, but. idk abt this one, man... i rly hope they dont make aprileo properly canon and april just rejects leo. tbf im not big on romance in general, but i rly do think of the turtles and april as being family. aprileo is just odd. BUT I AM VERY GOOD AY IGNORING ROMANCE SO. hopefully i wont have to do that tho.

SPEAKING OF ROMANCE. THE FUCKING SPLINTER X THAT ONE COCKROACH MUTANT? THAts KINDA DISGUSTING BUT ALSO FUCKING HILARIOUS. never thought id see a rat and a cockroach making out be animated in a movie. that cockroach is splinters cockroach friend back when he was just a rat, wasnt she... Trans Head-cannon Thing

[With a drawing included at the end]

I know I kin only mostly male characters and usually its the one that are a bit more feminine and/or fruity in their design or personality. This of course leads to the “what if they were transmasc?” Head-cannon. Which I full support and anyone and everyone can like and believe whatever they want. I am most of the time a big time supporter of the trans head-cannon. But rarely ever enact this head-cannon in my own content because I without fail run into the obstacle of, “if they’re transmasc, then I can’t draw them in pretty dresses!” Then I get sad.

But, and I don’t really know how to explain this, however I have recently looked back at a series and one character I usually ignored within it. (They’re now my favorite character from that series) that series is the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the character is Leo (because of course it is). I’ve also watched the 2003 series and I now realize I am just a Leo kinnie across the board. Minus 2007, he can go die. I used to say I liked Donnie just cause I like purple but now I see the truth. The Donnies were either not fruity enough, were simps, or didn’t get enough screen time for me to get to know them. Thats not say I didn’t enjoy them, all the turtles are great but I am a sucker for the clearly (to some measure) gay ones.

Now you might be saying “2012 Leo isn’t gay. He likes his sister too much for that.” And I get that. In fact after the revelation that Karai was his sister he backed off. But not all the way off, because he kept trying to hangout with her in later seasons. His emo phase literally was spent with him getting in on girls night with Karai and Shinigami and joining them in committing crimes. In those left over ‘signs of a crush’ after the reveal as some call them there weren’t really any blushes or hearts or any clear indication of romantic feelings between them. It mostly was just Leo trying to be a bad boy and doing what he thought was right, hence his emo/goth phase. No one was as emo and goth as Karai so obviously he went to her. All this is too say that yes, while there may have been a bit of romantic feels on Leos part at first. I think that the signs after their (kinda) blood connection was brought to light , cause the turtles were mutated with Splinters blood or DNA and Karai is Splinters daughter, and overall feelings was just ✨gender envy✨.

Cause I mean like everyone agrees that Rise Leo is in some capacity attracted to men. And 2003 Leo is just too but only for Usagi. They both gave me the fruity vibes but 2012 Leos fruity vibes tasted a bit different. I couldn’t put my finger on it until I saw on TikTok that people were saying that he was transfem and therefore was actually a she. And I was like, “yes! Thats it! Thats what the vibes the fruit was giving!”

So may I present to you ✨her✨

God I haven’t drawn the 2012 turtles since elementary. Muscle memory didn’t kick in or more likely didn’t exist but I’d say this turned out pretty good. So in reference to the problem I presented in the first paragraph I have found the solution of just drawing a transfem character.

Also don't recommend binge watching the series because the back of your head will always be like damn those kids cannot catch a break just whammy after whammy,like they'll get a week or two(at best!!! Mostly maybe a day or two if at all!!!)of nothing much happening, maybe fighting lowtier grunts but that's it, but a week or two is just 7-14 days which is not a lot in the grand scheme of things

Also was sit just me but in the ep 'into dimension x ' was Mikey's voice deeper??? Like for a lil bit??? See why the head canon of it not being months but years is popular also people always mention holy shit kraang skin helmet but what about kraang limbs lasso? Kraang arms armbands? Motherfucker made them into pelts holy shit

Speaking of Mikey I thought the hidden blade in his nunchunks was something added??? Like an upgrade after a fight?? But no he always had it??? Paring: Rise!Raph x reader

Summary: You're looking for raph in the Krang ship with Leo. When you find him you and Leo have to get him to snap out of it.

You and Leo ran into the hall Leaving Mikey and Donnie behind. You were carrying Raph's Twin Sais looking for him along With leo. Your heart sank when you found out that he had saved leo, but was left behind in the process. You and Raph had fought before he had been taken about you going on the mission with everyone. You turned into a room, gasping at the sight. There was lava all around, you turned and saw the krang... and...

"Raph?" You muttered with a broken voice. He hopped down and you and Leo took out the weapons.

"Raph, you're coming with us... Whether you like it or not. " Leo said with determination

He snarled, a long tounge. Your eyes widen. You started to get mad. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM?"

"I made some improvements." The krang said, laughing. You spun the twin Sais in your hand and ran towards raph at amazing speed, Leo was a little shocked at how fast you ran towards Raph. You ran and tried to hit him in the tentacle part before you were knocked away, you found your footing and started towards him again. The krang got Leo and the other two in his tentacles. Left to you to fight Raph.

"RAPH! Stop, you can fight this." You say, You look down at your weapons and smile. you look up and drop the weapons. You walk toward him, (Moana feeling rn). "I'm Sorry for what I said... I dint mean it." You tear up, "And I know you didn't mean anything you said." Once you got to him he Wrapped his tentical around your neck, the wolverine claws coming out of his hand. "You didn't Yell because you were mad, You yell because you were scared... and I was too. I dint want to lose you and I did." You drop you hands from the tentical as he pulled his other arm back. "I want you to know... before I die-" You smile, tears dripping down your cheeks. "I love you Raph, and nothing will change that."

Raph paused for a momnet, He blinked and started to squeal in pain. Dropping you in the process. You look up and smile. "Thats right Raph fight it!" You smile as he looked at you.

"(Name?)" He said, You let out a sigh of relief and ran towards him. The Krang yell and Wrapped you in a tentacle.

"Come on Guys we can fight this." Leo said. You watched as the boys started to glow.

"Its pointless to resist the krang. give up you'll soon be consumed like everyone else on this pathetic planet." The Krang himself said, You smile and laugh.

"Fat chance. they arent like everyone else." You smile with pride as your best friends slowly escape the prison that they are in. Your still stuck, helpless... Raph was right... Your a lieablity

"We are..." Leo started

"The teenage..." Mikey

"Mutant..." Donnie

"Ninja.." Raph

"Turtles" And Leo. He threw his sword as the krang tenticals let you go... you started to fall. You try to grab the twin Sai's but you fail... you start to fall-

Down

Until arms catch you. You look up and see him. "Raph," you say with tears in your eyes. You grab his face and kiss him. He puts you next to the key and winks at you as he goes back. "BE SAFE!" You yelled. He smile and nodded.

"Love ya (Name)!" Raph said before he ran off. You smile as he fought.

"Love you too raph."

It might be because there weren't that many crazy changes between now and the 80s ? I know it sounds dumb but hear me about : Outside of technological and medical advancement, the past 10 or so years kinda looped back to the 80s-90s period especially for all the stuff relating to entertainment from music to shows to movies (remakes and sequels). The biggest hit show since the mid 2010's was Stranger Things whose story takes place in the 1980s. Slightly less blatant but still noteworthy are the clothing trends, vintage stuff got brought back a bit and the 80s attract a lot of people for the esthetic too

It creates a huge dissonance between the past and present

You're kind of right but you can't really discount the technological and medical advances as they do a huge influence on our cultures and lifestyles, especially if you were born in the mid to late 90s like me and witnessed technology change in real time with vhs and casette tapes and dial up internet going away in the mid 2000s.

So with technology, the 80s is when the home computer became a mainstream thing and back then computers were mainly used for working on documents or playing games. Although Emails have existed for much longer than you would think and a very primitive version of the Internet existed back then you can see a video on it here:

But I will say that 80s nostalgia has been huge in every decade since it passed, the 90s still held onto bright 80s colours for a time being, then the 2000s would make 80s throwbacks in media like with Grand Theft Auto Vice City paying homage to 80s movies, music and styles. The 2000s also had the major nostalgia boom for 80s Toy Franchises like Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Thundercats, He-Man etc.

Though whilst that nostalgia level was high and probably the highest of any decade, I still think things evolved from the 90s culture onwards, I'd say the 90s and the 2000s were quite similar for a majority of it, though towards the mid to tail end of the 2000s a lot of things we have today came from that time period. Someone said the other day online that in Grand Theft Auto 4 a game that takes place in 2008 there's actually not a whole lot about it that doesn't feel like it couldn't take place today, they have a in universe version of Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.

And I think thats the main thing that makes the late 2000s, the 2010s and the early 2020s just seem to blend together, what can we really point to came about from the last decade or this one that wasnt just a continuation or remix of something from the late 2000s? Its kind of like things have just been put on repeat since then. I'll admit I am more nostalgic for the late 2010s but I think a big part of that is it still felt like things could change even more the 2000s weren't all that long ago so it didn't feel like things needed to progress more.

Wanna know my 2 theories why many don’t include 2003 tmnt in anything?

You can totally trust me, I have a Master’s degree so im smart

they are embarrasses b/c no one can reach the level of character/story telling or plot/fun/serious/etc that 2003 did. PLUS it being a 4kids productions doesnt hurt it’s case b/c it was a collab by both 4Kids Entertainment and Mirage Studios which means it’s validity is solid b/c the guys that MADE TMNT were working or at least involved. Plus animated by Dong Woo Animation which has animated many things like im talking scooby doo and jackie chan adventures and shit thats a good track record!

Mirage Studios didnt own the rights to the 1987 TMNT for example hence why it was so goofy. It was mostly to sell toys.

Mirage's significant stake in creative control resulted in a (2003) cartoon that hews more closely to the original comics, creating a darker and edgier feel than the 1987 cartoon, but still remains lighthearted enough to be considered appropriate for children. they owned 1/3 rights of the 2003 cartoon

Nickelodeon acquired the global rights to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the Mirage Group and 4Kids Entertainment, Inc. so they made the 2012 TMNT as a result. No direct involvement with Mirage

now they made the ROTTMNT and Mirage Studios isnt mention with this series so i ASSUME they arent tied together which it kinda shows

2003 Donnie was so pissed off after seeing the other versions of him and his family (in Turtles Forever) that he just blocked his universe from everyone else so no one even knows of his universe b/c of it.

Reacting to Batman vs TMNT

Part 4:

-we start heaby

The asshole who broke the bat graba MY DONNIE by tha face and lifts him in the air to do the same with his back.

I legit gasped in worry and pain.

-the whole scene was leading somewere else, theres a point in the comics where Donnie's shell is broken and he is badly hurt. They got me.

No drama. No important scene, they are runing and he just casually trips and they keep going.

-I love that they decided to make him so human, and I love to see him beated, but I still believe it is not wise to do that. He might bite back.

-oh look, unlike with the Joker, they kill the Penguin's guys! ...and he just walks away?

-ok, that is one dumb move from the green guy and one smart move fron the Penguin. I mean, you don't see the betrayed guy just turn and walk when he's still in time too often!

-Mikey freaking out 'cause Batman is Bruce Wayne!! And the others 'I mean, this is Wayne Mansion' Mikey just bought the lie from The Lego Movie: Bruce and Batman are flat buddies

Fandom: teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Characters: Raph, Leo, Donnie, Mikey Relationship: Raph/reader Request: Hey i would like to request a tmnt fanfic (2014/2016) where the reader is talking to the turtles about relationship issues, and subtlety tries to hint at having had a previous crush on Raph, but then mentions having moved on from a lack of response, and Ralph is clueless but the brothers explain to him and fluff ensues. I totally get it if this is to long or something,I love your work! “No, I’d never date a guy who ive never met before.” You giggled as Mikey followed you around the lair. “Why not?” he asked and you saw Donnie and Raph turn to get an answer. “Because, I don’t know what they would be like. I would like to meet someone a couple of times before deciding if I was attracted to them.” You shrugged as you plopped yourself down on the couch with Leo to your right. Donnie was on the other couch with Raph and Leo was training with Splinter in the other room. “why are you suddenly so interested in my love life?” You asked Mikey, who had been asking you questions all day. “Dunno, just wanted to know. So, you got any crushes?” He walked up and sat down at your feet, nudging your knee with his elbow. “I don’t think thats really any of your business.” You teased, slapping the back of his head but that didn’t hid the growing blush on your cheeks. In truth, the one you had a crush on was only sitting at the other side of the room. And he was watching you. Closely. “Ohhh! So you do have a crush!” Mikey cooed and you knew you were never going to hear the end of this. “it doesn’t matter, Mikey. Nothings ever going to happen!” You shook your head as you spoke, wanting this all to stop right now. “Aw, why not?” Mikey frowned and turned to fully face you. He was very sweet and really only wanted you to be happy. Mikey had always taken to be a big brother to you. Mainly because he had always been considered the baby of the group so it was nice for him to take on that role as protector just like the others had. But he was a little more ‘playful’. “I don’t think they would have ever noticed how I felt. Nor would he return my feelings. So I need to try and, you know, move on. Its just proving to be a little harder than I thought.” You tried to smile but everyone saw the flash of pain in your eyes. It wasn’t because you were saying it out loud, even though they might think that. It was because you were saying it in front of him. And you knew it was more than a crush. You were completely and utterly in love with raph and had been for a while. But he never seemed to notice how much you cared for him or the things you would do just to try make him happy. Just then, Leo walked into the room, only adding to the sudden tension. “I gotta go back to mine. Ive got work in the morning.” You lied through your teeth, knowing you were off tomorrow but you just wanted to get away from all the prying eyes which you refused to meet. Apart from one. You glanced up at Raph, who was studying you with a confused expression. And that gave everything away. Donnie saw it. Mikey saw it. Leo saw it. Standing up, rather suddenly, you darted for the door, grabbed your bag and left, leaving a stunned silence behind you. “What happened?” Leo asked as you walked to stand behind where Raph and Donnie were sitting. “We were asking about [y/n]s crush.” Mikey turned to look at Leo, confused as to your sudden change of mood. You had been laughing only a moment ago and joking around. “Did she say about her little thing for Raph?” leo asked, as confused as Mikey and the others to your sudden change in demeaner. But Leo saw Mikeys eyes widen and Donnie and Raph twist in their seats. He instantly knew he had just said something he shouldn’t have. “Whats that meant to mean?” Raph half growled, almost taking it as in insults or a joke. All 3 of the brothers fell silent, obviously mulling over whether or not to say anything, until Mikey spoke up. “We might as well tell him. Its upsetting [y/n] either way.” Mikey said, surprisingly being extremely reasonable which made Leo proud. If there was one thing Leo praised you for over everything else, it was how you brought out the best in each and every one of them. “What are you talking about?” Raph looked from Mikey to Donnie. “We were surprised you never noticed.” Donnie shrugged, avoiding Raphs eyes. “If someone doesn’t tell me whats going on, im gonna-“ Raph didn’t get a chance to finish his insult as Leo snapped. “For god sake. Shes in love with you!” He walked over to sit next to where you had been seated a few minutes ago. He half expected his brother to become even more infuriated with the situation because he wouldn’t believe it. But much to Leos surprise, Raph froze, staring at Leo. After a few moments, Raph glanced to the door you had just left through and shook his head. “She aint ever going to love me.” Raph sighed, pushing himself up, suddenly understand why you left so quickly. While you adored his brothers, it was hard to sit in front of them and speak of love. “Yeah she does!” Mikey snapped, obviously offended by both Raph dismissing Leo and dismissing you. “How would you know!” Raph growled. “cause I do!” Mikey crossed his arms, not at all intimidated by his brother. “She really does. Anyone can see it.” Donnie mumbled, not wanting to get involved but he couldn’t help himself. “Shes always following you around, she goes out her way to see you and make you happy.” He shrugged as he spoke. “She does that for all of us!” Raph turned to Donnie, never thinking anything of it. “You know what, Raph. You’re right. We’re all wrong. But can you risk that?” Leo walked over to Raph, standing tall against his brother. “Whats that meant to mean?” Raph turned to Leo, repeating himself from earlier. “If shes talking about you, then shes trying to move on. Shes fed up waiting. What happens if she gets a boyfriend in a couple of days, weeks or months? You think you could live with yourself? Wondering who she was speaking about? We all know you care the exact same about her as she does you. You got to speak to her, before you lose her.” Leo finished. For the first time in a long time, Raph listened to Leo. Not just heard what he said, but actually listened to him. Without a word, Raph turned and walked out the lair in a hurry. None of the brothers had to questions where he was going. --------------------time skip -------------------------- You walked through the sewers, your feet were almost as heavy as your heart. Why had you said that in front of him? A part of you hoped he would understand you were speaking about him, but the other part said it was because you knew you needed to move on. You stopped, hearing footsteps approaching you from behind. Years of training with the turtles had taught you to be on your toes and suspect everything. But as Raph came into view, you physically relaxed. He was staring at the ground in front of him as he walked and looked like he was deep in thought. “Raph?” You called out, noticing he hadn’t seen you just yet and you didn’t want to startle him. Upon hearing your voice, Raph jumped slightly and looked up. “[y/n].” Raph smile slightly and sped up until he was closer. “You alright?” “Yeah, im just tired.” You smiled, almost tempted to yawn but decided that would be too cliché. “Right.” Was all he replied, looking down. You just assumed he had come after you to make sure you were okay. “Well, I’ll er see you later.” You prompted, hoping to get away from the situation. “Yeah.” Once again, you got a one word answer. Turning away from Raph, you started to walk away, noticing how he didn’t follow. “What if he felt the same way about you?” Raphs voice made you freeze before you turned and looked at him in utter confusion. “What?” You asked. “the one you were speaking about.” Raph answered, but that didn’t really answer the question you were asking. “Raph, I don’t understand what you’re saying.” You walked back to him, hoping that the closer you were, the more answers you would get. “What if he loved you more than he could ever dare tell you?” Raph looked up at you as you stood in front of him. your breath caught in your throat as you started up at Raph. Was he talking about you and him? “Then why not say anything before?” You asked, not daring to break his eye contact for fear of him taking it as rejection. “I don’t want to lose you.” Raph was hunched over slightly as you stood directly in front of him. “just say the word and im yours.” Was all you could say, hoping you were both talking about the same thing. But Raph couldn’t take any more. He ducked his head down and pressed his soft lips to yours in a sweet but unexpected kiss. You quickly responded and placed a hand on either one of his broad shoulders, softly massaging his shoulders as you made out with him. You felt like all of your senses were focused on him. You felt his arms around your waist and he pulled you closer. eventually, the need for air outweighed the pleasure of the kiss and you pulled back a little, panting slightly. “Will you go out with me?” Raph breathed, his voice sending a small chill down your spin. “Only if you will come back to mine?” you smiled, looking up at him through your eyelashes and you knew he was putty in your hands. Smiling, you went up on your tip toes to press a quick kiss to his lips before pulling away. You took a hand of his in your own and the two of you walked back to yours. That night, you got 2 texts from Leo and Mikey that night. Mikey asked if you were okay and Leo apologies if he had caused any trouble between you and Raph. but you didn’t even notice they had messaged you because you were too focused on making up for lost time with Raph.

Being Saved and than Befriending the Bayverse Turtles would Include...

You met the turtles when they saved you from a mugger. It was getting dark and you'd just gotten out of work/school when you were grabbed and pulled into an alley. You weren't supposed to see them but to save you Leo had to take that risk and so you saw them. And yeah at first it was terrifying cause their huge and obviously not human but you just witnessed them save your life. They're clearly not the bad guys even if they look kinda scary.

"So what are you guys? Your not human... but your not the bad guys either right?" The brothers are surprised your not screaming your head off or running away. I mean your breathing really quickly but thats more from almost being mugged or possibly worse than seeing them.

"Were ninjas." -The Blue one states

"Mutants." -The Red One argues

"Technically were turtles." -The Purple one corrects

"And were teenagers bruh!" -The Orange one adds

"So your... Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles?" They shrug their shoulders and more or less go with it. You laugh a little before smiling. Your still kind of in shock but you aren't one to be unthankful. "... Well I'm (Y/N)! You guys probabaly just saved my life, thankyou."

The turtles have never actually been thanked after saving someone before so it throws them for a loop. Sure Aprils said it once or twice but that was after she befriended them and she's kind of like their sister/savior so she doesn't really count and although it means a lot when sensei says thankyou it hits different to hear you say it. Some total stranger thats seen what they look like but hasn't run away and doesn't seem scared. The orange bandanna guy seems like super psyched! New friend you guess?

The Orange one than suggests they take you home since you saw them. I mean you seem cool. Your not Foot whatever that meant and its not like they can just let you go without telling Splinter (whoever that is) what happened. Plus your hurt. Looking down you hadn't even noticed during all the commotion your hand had gotten cut open from the mugger. It was probabaly a good idea to get that looked at.

As you hear police sirens not far away you realize the orange one meant take you to THEIR home as the blue one (the leader you think) picks you up before apologizing as a bag is haphazardly thrown over your head. "Sorry about this were still the good guys." He promises but you don't get to answer as he begins running away with you in his arms.

When you get to their home the lair as they call it (your pretty sure it's the sewers) the bag is removed from your head. The purple bandana turtle takes you in his arms from the blue one before walking over to a lab looking area. As your observing your surroundings seeing all his makeshift tech and the turtles stuff he comes over with a med kit and begins cleaning your wounds.

"I'm Donatello but everyone calls me Donnie. Don't worry I have a doctorate." He greets as he carefully begins working on your cut. You hiss and nod before the orange one runs over to distract you.

"I'm Michelangelo but my bros call me Mikey sweetcheeks!" He introduces before making silly faces as Donnie continues his work. You giggle even as your hand stings from antiseptic.

"Ignore him he's an idiot. I'm Raphael." The Red One greets after as he pushes "Mikey" out of the way.

"Guys!" The blue one snaps before he signs rolling his eyes. Shrugging his shoulders before crossing his arms he smiling sheepishly at you. "I'm Leonardo. But Leo is fine. These are my brothers." He states.

You nod and hum kind of still in shock but feeling much better after hearing their names and that they were brothers. You had your suspicions that if they wanted to hurt you, you'd already be hurt and none of them seemed particularly violent. Its not like they were threatening you I mean Don was patching you up after you got hurt. Donnie finsihes fixing up your cut and helps you out of the chair he'd put you in. The brothers than let you walk around and explore their home as they wait for Master Splinter to wake up so they can explain.

Mikey is following you around asking you a million questions while giving you a mini tour of their place. He shows you his skateboard ramp and art supplies in the main area, he than shows off their kitchen before he points towards their rooms and the dojo where they all train. The other brothers are keeping a close eye on you but your pretty calm considering the fact that four giant turtles just kidnapped you. Its probably the shock. Your gonna say it's the shock so you don't feel insane for not freaking out.

As Mikey sits you down on their couch done with the tour has still asking you a billion questions about your life. Looking a bit overwhelmed but trying to keep up Leo gets you some water while Donnie remains close monitoring your vitals on his headset. Raph is off to the side but after Leo comes back and you drink the offered water you begin asking about them with a wide smile on your face. That gets him to come closer. Your really not terrified huh?

Your convinced Mikey has forgotten your name and is afraid to ask for it again because he's given you a hundred nicknames other than your name since you've been in the lair. (Baby cakes, angel, sweet cheeks, doll/darling, candy)

He tells you all about how he's a D.J and street artist and music enthusiast as his brothers nod before showing off some moves. He pulls you up to dance with him as he talks about his latest beat and begins ti beat box. After Mikey spins you around a couple times still beat boxing you begin getting dizzy. Leo calmly tells his brother to chill before leading you back to the couch sitting you down.

Leonardo explains that their ninjas trained in the art of ninjitzu. He begins talking about Japan and going into the history of the samurai and how they follow the warriors code so that's why they helped you before he gets interrupted by Raph.

Raphael is more than happy to state yes their ninjas and yes they follow the warriors code but thats boring. The only reason their so good at what they do is because they're all super strong and can totally kick ass. (He not so casually flexes and sends you a wink as he states that)

They're not just warriors Leo! Raph begins bragging about how much he can lift and how strong they all are but Donnie pushes him away seeing your adrenaline is sky rocketing.

You've already figured out Don is a medic major and a computer whiz. As he begins looking you over to make sure you still okay he tells you about his qualifications and how your in good hands. When you ask about his helmet he beams and begins explaining it and how it works still looking you over. The guys all begin talking at once trying to tell you things but they get a little loud in their excitement.

When Splinter finally wakes up (because the guys were arguing over your attention) he's surprised to see a human other than April or Casey. You pause and politely ask if he's Splinter since the guys had mentioned him earlier. He nods and you politely bow since Leo mentioned they beleive in Japanese values.

After learning what happenes Splinter seems disappointed. He begins hitting his sons with his tail and scolding them threatening them with the hachi before he turns and apologizes for their rash behavior in bringing you down here. He promises as long as you don't talk about any of them and don't tell anyone what you saw you'll never have to see them again.

"Wait but what if I want to come again?" You blurt out.

You'd only known these guys a couple hours but you still had so many questions and you'd enjoyed your time in the lair so far. You weren't sure if you didn't ever want to never see them again. I mean you wouldn't mind coming back down here again. Maybe minus the bag.

Splinters surprised and so are the turtles as they all stare at you shocked. I mean sure they saved you but they also kinda kidnapped you? As you blush embarassed thinking maybe that wasn't the best thing to say the rat smiles softly before he takes your hands pats them. He invites you to stay for dinner with him and his sons. He assures you your more than welcome to come back and visit and stay in contact with his boys and him as long as your careful and never tell anyone else about them.

The 2012 characters reacting to you crying 🐢

Leonardo

Gets very quiet and solemn when you start crying before gently pulling you into a hug. Holds you against his chest and puts his head ontop of you as he loosely holds you close.

Whispers it'll be alright and asks if you want to talk about it as he gently holds you. When your ready and pull away he wipes all the tears off your face before smiling softly.

He takes you somewhere quiet to talk and makes sure your alone before asking you to tell him why you started crying so he can help.

The gentlest out his brothers and one of the best listeners. He nods his head but mostly stays silent as you talk about why you started crying.

Asks if you'd like to meditate on it with him in the dojo. If meditation isn't your thing he understands and will ask you what you want to do. Will do whatever you ask no objections and is very pro self care.

Raphael

Okay who does he need to punch??? Who needs a pounding? Say their name and they're d e a d.

Raph isn't much help at first because hes pissed that someone or something upset you this much. He begins pacing and spinning his sais as he takes heavy breaths in. Finally calming down he puts his weapons away and gives you a hug.

When you stop crying Raph asks you what happened and man once you start you can't stop. You tell him what was bothering you and you let the anger out now that the sadness is gone.

You guys have a screaming fest somewhere in the sewers where you trash talk what's bothering you and honestly it's very therapeutic.

When you guys get back to the lair throats a bit sore from screaming he gets some snacks and soda before he sits with you on the couch hanging out. He rubs your arm as you watch movies and tells you if they bother you again he'll handle it.

Donatello

Gets very concerned. He's immediately in front of you asking if you need anything and doing his best to figure out what's wrong so he can help. Despite how smart he is hes still very emotionally aware and is completely focused on you.

He gets you tissues so you can wipe your tears away and blow your nose. Once thats done he carefully cups your face.

"You can tell me anything... please tell me what happened." You close your eyes feeling his hands before nodding and taking a deep breath.

Donnie is quiet the whole time you explain why you started crying and nods his head processing what your telling him.

After he either has a game plan to make things better or some questions. He wants to make sure he has all the information before he suggests anything. If you don't want a game plan though, that's fine. Donnie will sit and listen to you as long as you need and when your done he'll do something fun with you to take your mind off it.

Michelangelo

NO DON'T CRY!!! WHAT'S WRONG???

May start crying as well depending on why your crying. Mikey's very empathetic and sometimes gets so surprised he just starts crying too. However if this is serious he'll suck it up and focus on you.

Will try and make you laugh so you stop crying because he hates h a t e s it when you cry. If that doesn't work or you continue to cry he switches tatics. If if did work awesome! Cuddle time and chocolate/snacks dude!

If the jokes didn't work and you need to cry it out or talk about what happened he'll take you too his room for privacy and wrap you in a blanket before sitting quietly and listening to you.

When you've calmed down a bit he'll curl up with you and listen to music or watch a show on his tphone. He's very cuddly and very concerned after a crying session so be prepared for a clingy turtle for awhile.

April

Asks what's wrong and begins rubbing your back as she waits for you to calm down and answer.

The best at comforting people to be honest. Her dad is a psychologist and therapist so he understands how the human brain works and from a young age has taught April to be empathetic and kind. Plus her powers just make her very good at calming people down or cheering them up.

She ends up making you tea (a habit from Splinter she picked up while living in the sewers) or something soothing to drink. She'll sit with you and help you stay calm so you can tell her what happened. Once your done April decides you need something to cheer you up.

Self care girl all the way. She'll brush your hair and make sure it's out of your face before doing a relaxing facemask with cucumber sloces over the eyes. She'll put some oil in the defuser and make it an at home spy day. By the time your done your way refreshed and feeling much better.

The 2012 turtles reacting to you wearing their color 🐢

Leonardo:

Immediately notices his color on you and gets a small smile when he sees it. He knows you wore his color on purpose to match him and Leo finds that really cute.

Your shirt is a bright red dye blue and not just any tye dye blue but his trademark blue color. You obviously meant to twin with him color wise and he's obviously very happy even if he doesn't directly say anything.

Kind of blushy about it but very chill otherwise. He's defiently touched at the gesture but doesn't want to make a big deal of it or make a fool of himself. If his brothers caught him staring he'd never hear the end of itso he does his best to not stare even if he wants too.

When he gathers the courage, smiles at you, and says you look nice he can see his brothers making kissy faces behind you and gives up. He's already embarassed so he just changes the subject and keeps talking to you while blushing.

Later Leo gets you alone away from his brothers so you can talk in private. He says you should wear that shirt again and that blue is definitely your color.

Raphael:

He chuckles amused. So you think you can pull off red huh? Teases you about it a little but it's clear he likes seeing his color on you and doesn't mind your wearing his color.

Your have on a bright red leather jacket and Raph has to admit it's totally your style. Your rocking the badass rocker type look with the red leather black stripes jacket and he kinda loves it. (Low-key wants the jacket but would never say that aloud)

He stares at the jacket and you a lot as you walk around the lair. Mikey goes to make fun of him but decides he values his life and stays quiet. Leo snickers at him but his brothers leave him alone out of respect for you. And the possibility they'd anger Raph.

When hes sure no ones around he compliments you on the jacket and begins flirting a little.

Gets embarassed when you flirt back. You tease if your getting this kind of attention from him you should wear the jacket more. He just agrees saying you should with a red face.

Donatello:

It takes him a moment but when he sees the purple he smiles. The hat your wearing is such a cool style for you and its definetly his color. (He doenst mind you borrowing his trademark color. You look good in purple)

Donnie gets very blushy seeing the hat honestly. Once he makes the connection that the purple matches him and that you wore the hat intentionally to twin with him he has a hard time focusing.

He stops his work in fear of messing up and smiles at you asking what spurred this sudden fashion statement. Smiles like an absolute dork when you say he's your favorite brother and you wanted to match him.

Kinda rubs it in his brothers faces but in a low-key way. Makes sure they see what hat your wearing and winks. He respects you way to much to be petty with his brothers about being the favorite turtle but it's obvious he's smug about being the favorite.

Asks before you leave the lair to twin with him again because he loved it and may or may not send you purple colored fashion choices and accessories over his t-phone as a joke. He doesn't care what your wear but he really does think purples your color.

Michelangelo:

Yoooooooooooo your totally twins!

He notices your orange shoes immediately and he absolutely loves them. He's totally spray painting his own pair later. Maybe not sneakers cause he doenst have human feet but like flip flops or homemade shoes. Or boxes! He doesn't care as long as you guys match.

Runs around the lair with you in his arms showing off your cool kicks. He may be the youngest and smallest but the brothers are unnaturally strong so holding you bridal style is easy. Besides showing off your shoes would be hard if they were on the ground.

He's really touched you'd twin with him. His brothers are just so awesome and he's kind of meh. So the fact you'd chose him to twin with feels really special.

Takes a selfie with him peace signing and posing by your shoes with his mask comparing the colors and one where you do a kick and hold your foot up next to his mask. He puts those photos as his new tphone background and gets giddy whenever you come to the lair in your orange sneakers.

Leo: Kisses under the moonlight, long stretches of comforting silence, the smell of Japanese flower blossoms, the sound of unsheathing katanas, long hugs where you sway, forehead bomps, listening to each others heartbeats and soft breathing, the roar of an ocean, the drip of a steady stream, poetic words whispered in the moment.

Raph: The sound of someone hitting a punching bag, a motorcycle revving, playful wrestling, metal whistling as its twirled, loud rock music, fire crackling, righteous anger, passion filled words, the taste of adrenaline and youth, redbull, all nighters, longing kisses, cuts and scrapes and bruises, bloody bandages.

Donnie: The distant smell of chemicals and bleach, bubbling beakers, neon lighting or dimly lit rooms, a machine misfiring, sparks flying, intertwined hands, the feeling of your face being cupped, soft gentle kisses that take your breath away, word of the day, radio static, the mountains and all their silence, a book page being turned, a camera going off.

Mikey: Soft smiles shared across the room, reckless youth, polarid photos, warm cuddles and movie marathons, pillow forts, sneaking snacks, dancing at 1a.m, screaming joyfully into the night, icecream sundays on a monday, the smell of popcorn, nature's song, secrets shared, the taste of pizza, pranks, crinkled and loved comic books, stolen kisses, stories, endless laughter.
