Music Monday #236: ATEEZ - Youth release: December 2023 genre: Kpop cw: violence, implied abuse, arson, flashing, unsteady cam

I did say I was going to keep featuring my best boys until they ran out of unit MVs, so if you're surprised I'm still on my ATINY bullshit, then shame on you, no cookies for you. XD

In the past, ATEEZ's members have often commented about how it's a shame ATINY don't get to hear Mingi singing more often, both because Mingi has a great voice and because singing makes Mingi so happy, but was something he'd thought he wouldn't be able to pursue after his voice dropped in puberty. As one of ATEEZ's main rappers, that is what audiences hear from him most often. And with him being paired with his BFF (and main vocalist) Yunho, it was initially expected that Yunho would lead the singing and Mingi would add some rapped verses here and there. Instead, Youth is the Mingi Show with Special Guest Yunho - Mingi does all the rapping (of course) and the larger share of the singing and while Yunho does have some lines to himself, mostly he turns up in the color lines, offering those high notes Mingi can't hit and harmonizing beautifully. And in my opinion, it's the perfect balance as Mingi's voice, especially when in the upper end of his range, infuses a certain wistful longing into a song about why being young isn't as easy as people think and the pressures of life, along with the importance of not facing it all alone.

This video, unlike the MV for IT's You, has a lot more storytelling elements to it. Of course there's still some amazing dance sequences, because Mingi and Yunho are both main dancers, but other than the few group dances, most of the scenes are dedicated to forwarding the story of the power of youth. It's was also mostly shot outside, in cold weather, so that final fire probably felt nice.

If it's been awhile since you last watched ATEEZ's Inception, now would probably be a good time to do that. Don't worry, I'll wait. ;)

Back? Good. While IT's You's callbacks were more in effect than story (since IT's You had very little actual story movement), Youth is much more direct - the scenes are unreal, of course, but still continue the story of Yunho's grief for his elder brother, killed in a horrible car crash, and Mingi's decidedly unhealthy home life. This makes a second suggestion that we're returning to the A 'verse close to the events of Inception, though of course even that is a bit of a herring - Inception is dream sequence upon dream sequence in the first place, with scenes mostly showing the members' backstories, twisted with grief, rather than current events. The "current" of Zero Fever part 1 is Hongjoong getting the team back together, but since the storytelling abruptly jumped to Z for part 2, what happens next is ... what we'll find out in the next major release, I suppose. ;)

THE WORLD EP.FIN: WILL continues to kick butt and now ATEEZ are making history as the first male kpop idol group to have stage time at Coachella. On my birthday. The universe is a cruel bastard. XD

this means that San's life will always be full of joy and fortune as long as he has his Taeyang around

the type of father who doesn't want to hold his own child at first bc he's scared that he might do something stupid like dropping the baby

but when he did, man he can't get enough of it and will get his hands on his child almost 24/7

will coo and talk in tiny everytime he is in his son's vicinity

he is not afraid or embarrassed to do aegyo or do baby talk in front of other people if it means that his child will smile over it

does a lot of goofy things just to see and hear his small bean laugh

the type of father who expresses his gratitude and apologizes straightforwardly to his child

this man will show his son a photo of his abs, proudly stating that he worked hard for it and that is the reason why you can't resist him

now his son wants to hit the gym as well so you can't resist him when he tells you that he wants to eat sweets

encourages his son at all times, telling him that he can do it and it's okay to fail as long as he doesn't give up

his son's achievements are like his own as well

affection is Mingi's middle name and he gets jealous when his baby boy gets too close with his uncles

Q: how do you start your day?

A: i get up, stretch, then i shower, sometimes it’s warm, but sometimes it’s a cold one.

Q: cooking or baking?

A: baking! i can cook, but eunwoo is much better at it.

Q: what’s a show/movie you’ve been watching a lot recently?

A: i don’t watch anything really, but when i have the time, i like watching itaewon class or run-on.

Q: when you meet someone, what’s the first thing that you notice about them?

A: their eyes. it sounds a little odd, but you can tell a lot about a person’s demeanor and mood based on the look in their eyes.

Q: outside of your group, are you close with any of your peers?

A: yes! these days i’ve been seeing yuri & yunho from ATEEZ, lee know from stray kids. just recently, i also had plans with jiwoo from KARD!

Q: favorite holiday?

A: christmas! it’s the same day as my birthday.

Q: what’s one thing you still have from your childhood?

A: i still have a lot from my childhood at home, because when i came to korea, i was still very young, but i did bring my first cassette player with me. it reminds me of home.

Q: most recent celebrity crush?

A: i’m with my crush, and have been since 2019.

Q: what’s your staple wardrobe item(s)?

A: cardigans, sweaters, anything that’s knitted or oversized. whenever i can, i love feeling comfortable.

Q: who do you turn to when you’re sad?

A: my members or my partner, one hundred percent.

Q: what’s the most important piece of advice you could ever give someone?

A: don’t ever change or conform in order to fit someone else’s unrealistic standards, only do it if it benefits you somehow, and makes you happy in the end.

Q: if you could get something back from the past, what would it be? why?

A: some more time to enjoy my childhood would be nice, i’ve been working on becoming a performer for so long that i think that i lost a lot of memories as a kid.

Q: if you weren’t an idol, where in life would you currently be?

A: i’d still be in my small hometown in the UK, probably knee-deep in my advanced studies. but i don’t know if i’d still stick to dancing, or if i’d be studying something else.

Q: three qualities that got you where you are today?

A: passion, perseverance, trust.

Q: what was the moment where you realized you finally made it to your dreams?

A: this is a tough one for me, but i think it was either our first music show win, or the day that i got a call from my manager saying that little mix wanted me to be a mentor on the search… i remember feeling so shocked that they even knew i existed, i grew up looking up to them, i still do!

Q: the most heartbreaking moment/realization about your career decision?

A: probably coming home to seeing how much things have changed since i left/last visited, realizing how many funerals, birthdays, and special moments i had been missing.

Q: you’ve met a lot of celebrities, but who made you absolutely starstruck?

A: definitely my label-mate & mentor, HyunA, and the little mix members.

Q: what was the first album you bought/received?

A: the first album (not including cassettes or vinyls) that i purchased myself was room 93 by halsey.

Q: when in love, what was the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

A: i made a mixtape to confess how i felt for my partner because i’m not really the best with words, and i didn’t know how else to express my emotions.

Q: would you ever share those songs off of that mixtape with the world?

A: no, it’s too precious and personal to us.

Q: if you could live in a foreign country, where would it be?

A: i’m not sure if i’d want to live in a foreign country again… i think i’d much rather be back home in the UK, or stay here in korea.

Happy SAN Day !!😍

Dear San, Today is the birthday of an extremely important person in my life, ATEEZ's Choi San. So finally, it's July 10th, this is my first birthday with you and it feels surreal. I guess it goes without saying that I have a lot to say, so this letter will be a long one. I started stanning ATEEZ in 2020. When the world had just started going into a tough phase. After getting to know ATEEZ for a while, I decided I should think about a bias, but it was extremely difficult...(I mean it). But then, after a few months, my eyes kept seeing one member named San. During V-LIVEs, on their YouTube channel, in group photos etc. you just continued to stand out in the crowd. I never really understood what is so great about you that I kept falling for you. I liked you more than any single idol I had ever seen in my entire life. Then, I started and tried to learn who is Choi San and nothing has changed ever since. My love for you has only grown more and more. You are the most kind and loving person i know, and your heart is so pure and beautiful. You put others before yourself and would rather stay sad, if it put a smile on the one’s around you. Whether, it be dancing, singing, friendship, handling a responsibility you makes sure you give it your all. You are the definition of “perfection” for me, and i know you are not perfect and you do make mistakes, probably a lot of them. But that is what makes you, a human at the end of the day, right?, I always noticed you would often mention your home-town, Namhae in South Korea, and whenever you mentioned it, you were extremely proud of where you were from, you are also the first and only Idol from Namhae till now. You were recently officially certified as the Ambassador Of Namhae. Your love for Namhae never fell short, whenever you mention Namhae that pride and dignity can be seen on your face. Who knew that a person could love his home-town so much that he would just turn out to be it's Ambassador. I can assure one thing, Ambassador or not, you will always talk about and love Namhae the same way you did when you were just a little boy who came with a dream to make your home-town and family proud, and as you did. I assume Namhae was’nt a very famous place before but now, If i ever get the chance to come to Korea, I will defintely visit Namhae. Since that is where, the Pride of Namhae and my star, Choi San was born. You still has a lot in life to accomplish with which challenges will come, but I'm sure you will cross all those troubles in life and become a successful man in life. I once got to know the meaning behind your name, and why your father had put it, and i was truly surprised. Your father named you San because he wanted you to be a comforting hill for some people and for others an enormous mountain that nobody dares to challenge, and truly you have become that. Your life was such a beautiful adventure that I am proud to say that you deserves to be where you are right now. Your smile can make me smile because that is what kind of a human being you are, even when you are singing and dancing I can feel every single emotion in that song because, I know you make sure that in everything that you do, you do your best. After knowing about you and learning about how amazingly and lovingly you were brought up, I know that even if you are the biggest star, you will still be one of the most humble people I know. I thought “falling in love” was just a myth but meeting you, changed my mind. After knowing everything that about you, i don’t think i ever need to bring up the question, “what is so special about you? or “why do I love you?”. I have a lot more to say, but i can’t express all my feeling for you on a piece of paper. And I hope ATEEZ grows to be one of the biggest boy bands on the planet, because you people truly deserve it. Lastly, San thank you for everything, for your love, compassion and for the ever-loving love you have for your ATINY. Thanks for being that person in my life, who inspires me, spreads positivity, and shows how important family and friends are, and thanks for being my SANshine. For showing that there can be a bright side of life too and if you have a dream, never forget to chase it, just like you did and I'm proud to call you my role model, thanks for being my happy place and bringing happiness into my life. I will always support you and will make sure I give you the love you deserve from my part. I wish you the best for today, tomorrow and for all the wonderful years to come ahead 😘💕.

TA-DA Here’s part 10 of I Have A Dream!!!! What do you guys think of this weeks update ? Do you guys think I’m dragging this too long or am I taking things too fast? San had never been more scared and anxious then in that moment, sitting down face to face with the second most important woman in his life ( his mother being first ).

He always remained cool and collected, never one to easily break under pressure, knowing that his members had his back no matter what. In this case, he was all alone.

In the small, barely illuminated living room sat San leaning against the soft sofa. His now numb ankle still propped on top of the small stool, the cream Y/N applied on him doing loads to reduce the pain. Across from from on a white worn down chair that creaked every time someone put pressure on it sat Y/N, her presence calming yet causing his heart to race a million miles per hour.

He watched as she looked at him, her sharp calculating eyes waiting for him to talk, the silence around them slowly suffocating him. Licking his lips, he searches his head for the right words to say before finally opening his mouth to speak.

“ T-The day after you left to visit your parents, the rest of the guys and I went to your guys apartment... We were planning on taking hongjoong out with us to spend the day at the arcade or something.” San says stopping for a quick second to make sure that Y/N is able to keep up with him.

“ Yunho was about to knock on the door, but it opened all of the sudden... That's when we saw them.. she was leaving when they opened the door and once she saw us, she just ran off.” he says, watching a Y/N squeezes her eyes shut.

“ I can stop if you want me too y’know... I don't want you to go through that again.” San quickly throws out, not wanting to cause any more pain to her.

Y/N shakes her head, opening her eyes and staring right back at San. “ I want to know.” She firmly states, her teary eyes blazing with determination causing San to slowly continue his story.

“ We dragged him back inside and he started talking about how he was planning on telling you after you came back from your parent's house. He said that the only one who owned you an explanation was him, for us to keep quiet and let him be the one to tell you.” he explains, looking at everything else except for her not wanting to see the pain in her eyes.

“ After that, we expected him to tell you but he just continued to sleep with her. He would constantly guilt trip is into keeping quiet, saying that he should be the one to tell you, but he never did. We wanted to tell you... We really did but we would constantly give him what he wanted and we realized how shitty that was. I know how bad it was for us to keep quiet but please believe me when I say that we wanted to tell you more than anything.” he rants out, quickly getting everything out in case Y/N decides to stop listening to him.

He watches as Y/N stands up and turns away from him, rubbing her swollen stomach the action helping with calming her down.

She stands with her back to him for a couple of seconds before turning around and walking towards him. Extending her arm, she takes his phone from his hand and unlocks it.

“ What are you doing...?” he asks as she starts to type on his phone, watching as she finishes typing and tosses his phone back to him.

Quickly grabbing his phone and unlocking it, he opens up his recent app before clicking on the messages icon. The recent conversation between Seonghwa and Y/N popping up.

“ I don't understand... Why did you invite him.. Invite everyone..?” San mutters out, eyebrows furrowed in confusion on her sudden action. “ You explained your part... So now I want the rest of them to explain themselves as well. Plus you need someone to come pick you up don't you? Or do you plan on walking back in the rain with a sprained ankle?” She asks him and all San does is shake his head side to side knowing that Y/N is right.

Running out of things to say, he watches as she begins to clean up the wrappers from the bandages she used for him. She grabs the medical kit, making sure that everything is in place before walking back to the kitchen and placing it where she originally grabbed it from. Leaning against the countertop Y/N lets out a big sigh, running her hand through her hair from everything that's been thrown at her recently.

Shaking her head, she places one hand on her belly and begins to rub it for comfort. “ I really hope I'm doing to right thing angel.” She whispers to her swollen stomach, deciding to wait in the kitchen till the rest of the guys arrive to her house.

Sure enough 15 minutes later, she hears a serious of desperate knocks hit her door the harsh noise breaking the silence of the house causing her to jump from how loud the person outside hits on the worn-out wood door. Walking towards the entrance she sees San give her a look from the corner of her eye before finally taking ahold of the door handle and swinging it open.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

The harsh water droplets hit the window that Seonghwa was perched against, the wind howling loudly like it does in scary movies. He watches as lightning strikes in the distance, the loud boom of thunder following right after causing the house to shake a little. He slowly starts to pace back and forth, bringing his hand up to his mouth and biting his nails from how anxious he is.

20 minutes had gone by since San left the warm house, in search for his ugly blue airpod case giving to him as a present. Seonghwa exits the kitchen and instead starts pacing in front of the main entrance, various thought floating around his head. Maybe he went to buy snacks? Or maybe he got caught in the rain and took shelter somewhere, he's probably taking his phone out right now and dialing the older male right? Seonghwa thinks to himself, taking out his phone and expecting it to light up from San calling but only sighing out when he sees no missed calls or unread messages.

He continues to pace for 5 more minutes before his phone starts vibrating in his pocket, a new message from San on display. Unlocking his phone he clicks on the message expecting San to tell him that he got caught in the rain or that he found his case but decided to buy food, but instead is meet with a text saying “San sprained his ankle” causing him to stop his pacing and face twist in confusion.

Who exactly is texting me? He thinks before more texts come pilling in. The last text the person with San sends causes him to huff in annoyance, not knowing who he's dealing with especially when one of the members is hurt.

Rapidly tapping his finger on his phone, he starts asking questions on San health before asking who the person is. His eyes widen in shock when the last text he gets from them is the person he least expected. Y/N

Rereading the last messages she sent to him, Seonghwa runs towards the closest room and opens the door, Yunho and Mingi starting back at him with questioning eyes. “ Get dressed and gather everyone else except Hongjoong.” He breaths out, then runs back out before they have a chance to ask him what's wrong.

Running back towards the entrance, he throws on his jacket and shoves his feet into his boots grabbing a big clear umbrella before hearing the rest of the guys run up behind him.

Turning around he spots everyone (except Hongjoong) wrapped in warm clothing, Yunho and Yeosang carrying umbrellas as well. “ Okay so here's the deal, San sprained his ankle and right now he's at someone's house hiding from the rain so we have to go get him.” Explains Seonghwa, before turning back around and opening the door.

“ Woah Woah Woah okay wait.” Calls out Jongho causing Seonghwa to stop in his tracks and turn back around to look at him. “ I get someone needs to go get him and everything but why are we all going? And who is he with anyways? Did a random nice stranger take him or what ?” Jongho fires away, causing Seonghwa to sigh out and take out his phone clicking on the recent combo shoving his phone into the younger ones' hands. “ Because the person that helped him is Y/N.” Seonghwa says and that's all Jongho needs to hear before taking the umbrella from Seonghwa and walking out, turning around and telling the older male to hurry up.

With that all 6 of them venture out in the pouring rain to get their friend, but also gain another one back.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Standing across from her are 6 full-grown men huddling close to each other for warmth, the younger ones whining out to the older ones before shutting up once the door opens.

“ San is inside in the living room.” She says before walking away from them, the guys scrambling after her like little duckling following the mother. Walking into the living room, they notice San sitting in one of the sofas and his foot elevated on a stool white bandages wrapped around his ankle. Wooyoung is the first one to break away from the group and run to San’s side, asking him if he's okay and if he's hurting only to have San silence him with a shake of his head.

Turning around he spots the rest of the guys crowding around him, giving him worrying glazes and all he does is give them a small smile directing his attention to the pregnant woman leaning against the doorway.

The rest of the guys seems to sense the tense atmosphere because they all turn back around and stare right back at Y/N. She tilts her head towards the sofas, all of them immediately walking towards the cool leather and sitting down waiting for her to speak.

“ San here told me what happened that lead us to this moment... And even though I know San can't lie to save his life, I want to hear everything from everyone.” She says and that's all the guys need to hear before diving into telling Y/N everything that happened until now. Every single one of them speaking up one by one before they run out of things to say, watching as Y/N stares at them with emotionless eyes.

“ I'm guessing he's here too.” Is all she asks and the only thing the guys can do is nod, watching as Y/N places a protective hand on her stomach.

“ We can keep him away from you if you want!” shouts out Yunho and the rest of the guy's yell out in agreement, causing Y/N to jump in shock. “ You guys... would do that for me..?” She slowly asks and all they do is nod in response.

“ We own you that and so much more.” speaks out Seonghwa before getting interrupted by the youngest. “ Noona... Does this mean you forgive us?” He shyly speaks up, the rest of the guys staring at Y/N for her answer.

Letting out a big sigh, Y/N keeps quiet for a couple seconds considering if she should before making up her mind. “ You guys really broke my trust when you let this go on for that long, but then again you guys didn't force him to sleep with my ex-best friend... I just wish you guys would have told me, regardless of how Hongjoong would have acted.” Y/N says causing some of the guys to drop their heads in shame and San to look away from her in guilt.

“ But I am willing to try and forgive you guys... You just have to earn my trust back.. Do you guys think you can do that?” She asks them and all of them immediately nod their heads furiously, Mingi and Wooyoung shouting out in agreement.

“ Okay then... Please don't let me down again...” She says as she watches the 7 men in her living room beam with excitement.

Jongho timidly walks up to her and calls out her name, causing the rest of the guys to hush down in order to see the interaction. “ Noona... Is it fine if I hug you..?” He shyly asks and all Y/N does is smile at him and pull him into her arms, the maknae of the group quickly wrapping his arms around the girl he missed most.

They stand there hugging a couple seconds before wooyoung yanks Jongho away from her and envelops the pregnant girl in his arms instead, causing the maknae to yell out in protest. Their bickering causing the pregnant girl to laugh in amusement and they all swear their hearts skip a beat from how much they missed her laughing.

Before their bickering can get any louder, Seonghwa walks up to Y/N and gives her a small smile leaning over and hugging the pregnant woman carefully. “ Do you mind if I touch your belly..?” he asks as he pulls away from her and Y/N takes ahold of his hands, placing them on her swollen belly causing the ruckus around them to quiet down.

“ Do you know what gender they are.” He asks, causing the girl to shake her head no. “ That would be on my next appointment.” she states and he hums in acknowledgment still having his hands placed against her belly.

“ Do you have any names in mind?” Yeosang speaks up causing Y/N to smile at him. “ If it's a girl I plan on naming her after my grandmother, but if it's a boy I was thinking about naming him... Jongho.” she explains, the maknae a couple of feet away from her gasping out in shock.

Turning towards him, she watches as the younger male shakily points to himself an expression of surprise places on his face. “ I hope you don't mind... I was already planning on naming my first boy that even when I was still with Hongjoong.. If you don't like it, I can think of another name.” Y/N rushes out when she sees the tears well up in his eyes, but all he does is shake his head and rush towards her to hug her again, carefully lifting her off the ground and twirling her around.

Setting her down, he gives her a gummy smile and gets down on his knees being eye level with her belly. “ I would be honored if you named him after me.” Jongho whispers out causing everyone in the room to coo at the maknae's actions.

Y/N shakes her head at his actions, missing the guy's crazy actions but knowing that's it's going to be a while till they can fully gain her trust. The way they are willing to protect her and her child from Hongjoong and the way they already love her unborn child breaking down the wall she built just a tiny bit.

She stands there as the guys take turns touching her belly and then walking towards San who is still seated against the sofa, taking one of his hands and placing it on her tummy. His face immediately breaking out in a big grin showing his deep dimples, missing the looks the rest of the guys give each other. They stand there watching the two in their own little world, San asking her various questions while still having his hands placed upon her belly unbeknownst to them how San slowly and tenderly starts rubbing his thumb across her covered skin.

All of a sudden their small reunion is interrupted by the sound of bags dropping to the floor, the sudden sound causing everyone's head to snap towards the hallway exposed to the living room. “ What the fuck is going on here?!” She hears her brother say, staring at them with an angry yet confused glare.

Y/N nervously chuckles out, walking towards her brother and taking his hands in hers.

“ Umm.. Welcome home...?”

1. What takes up too much of your time?

School/Work, both of which are important, but lately they’ve been making me question what kind of person I’m shaping up to be

2. What makes your day better?

Maggie!! She’s my beautiful angel~ also my friends, both here and irl – and my cats! A lot of things make my day just a little bit better~

3. What’s the best thing that happened to you today?

Maggie~ also we had a random blackout at my work and it was kinda cool tbh

4. What fictional place would you like to go?

Hm,,, potentially Gravity Falls just because it’d be super cool to see all the weird stuff, but also Asgard via a la Thor franchise

5. Are you good at giving advice?

I try my very best! Sometimes I don’t know what to say and I always feel bad about it though :/

Mild (as of the last few years) depression, severe generalized/social anxiety

No, and I hope to never experience it.

Hayley Williams. She still does.

Absolutely! Very recently too, very, very happily~ and I wouldn’t change a thing because she’s the most amazing, wonderful angel!

1. What takes up too much of your time?

Daydreaming about fic possibilities and what I could do with my life if I had the ability to create art.

2. What makes your day better?

Two things: my fiance and laughing.

3. What’s the best thing to happen to you today?

My cat laid on top of me and purred really loud!

4. What fictional place would you like to go to?

One that I have yet to put into writing.

5. Are you good at giving advice?

It depends. I’m pretty good at it in general, but each situation is unique and anyone who takes my advice knows that I have a disclaimer stating that I am not responsible for anything that happens if my advice is applied...just as a precaution lol

6. Do you have any mental illness?

No clue.

7. Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis?

Yes and it’s terrifying!! I mean, one time I was able to make my head shake, but my fiance ignored my movement because I move in my sleep...so he thought I was asleep...

8. What musician inspired you the most?

I don’t really have just one

9. Have you ever fallen in love?

Yes

10. What’s your dream date?

My dream date is my fiance. HAHA! (It’s true..) 😂

But no, my dream date is being picked up at hotel in a big city <me wearing a very nice dress, my date wearing a tux or suit> and us going out for a ‘night on the town’. We would dine at a 5-star restaurant and then walk around downtown until we came to a romantic place. My date would then ask me to dance even there’s no music because ‘the music is in our hearts'. And then he would take me back to my room and leave me at the door with a searing kiss.

*sigh* I love my fiance, but he would ruin my dream date because he can’t keep a beat to save his life. I’m sure he’d be able to make up for it somehow 😂

11. What do others notice about you?

They tend to notice I have a huge ass. They never really mention anything else that they notice...IF they notice anything else.

12. What is an annoying habit you have?

UM - ALL OF THEM?? I mean, I have so many that it’s hard to name them. Just ask the people around me and they’ll make long lists without saying the same thing as the other. #iannoyeveryone

13. Do you still talk to your first love?

No, but that’s a good thing.

14. How many exes do you have?

Five...and yet, they never took me on a date. #losers😒

15. How many songs are in your playlist?

My largest one has over 600 songs on it...so many genres, so little time.

I played the clarinet when I was in high school and the piano before that.

Blurry shit because my phone screen gets turned on and then I’m too lazy to delete the pictures. 😬

18. Where would you like to go before you die?

I’m not sure. I’ve always loved traveling, but have never been super passionate about just one place?

Yup. I’m #twinning everyday.

21. What is happiness to you?

Happiness to me is being able to toss away all of my negative thoughts, just for a moment, and focus on something beautiful. It could be the feel of a cool breeze on a warm day. The fluffy white clouds against a light blue sky or speaking the compliments I think instead of just keeping them so myself.

Happiness is something you continuously work towards...and sometimes you have to accept that being content in the moment is the best you’ll get for now. I purposely stop to ‘smell the roses’ and enjoy the little things because everything I know and love is in a balanced state. I want to enjoy the moments I have now so that, when things have shifted and there’s the sense of unbalance, I can look back and draw on those moments. Those little moments are so important to be able to recall so that you can continue to work towards happiness in times of sadness. (Sorry for the mini...rant?)

22. Are you going through anything right now?

Yes. I won’t get too detailed, but back in February I went on emergency hiatus because my dad has CIDP (emergency hiatus post here). He hasn’t had a treatment since February, so his ability to walk and do other things has gradually become much worse. It’s not something that many people have to live with for a long time...which is why I had my happiness rant above. Plus I’ve been trying to get a better job since I graduated from college in December 2018, but practically nobody is hiring. So that’s great.

23. What’s the worst decision you ever made?

There really is no ‘worst decision’ for me. I am who I am today because of all the decisions I have made both good and bad. So, for me to point out my ‘worst decision’ would be to say I have regrets. Which I don’t because I don’t have time for ‘what ifs’ and regrets. I only have time for helping myself and others to better themselves.

24. What’s your favorite store?

Gift shops.

25. What’s your opinion on abortion?

I strongly believe in keeping my political opinions to myself.

26. Do you keep a bucket list?

Mentally, yeah. But I’m forgetful, so it’s ever-changing.

27. Do you have a favorite album?

Yes. Comedown Machine by The Strokes. I bought it because it looked cool and I love every single song.

28. What do you want for your birthday?

I really want to have a full-time job! I also want these BTS Hanahaki Series pins by Wiblash on Instagram!!

29. What are most people’s first impression of you?

People think that I cower at anyone who seems to be an authoritative figure as well as be a ‘yes-man’

30. What age do you seem according to most people?

Everyone has thought I look like I’m either younger or WAY older than I actually am. Everyone also assumes I have kids. And I mean EVERYONE. 😠

31. Where do you keep your phone while you’re sleeping?

On my nightstand to prevent an accidental fire.

32. What word do you say the most?

I say um, well, and like a lot because they make it easier to drag my sentences out when I lose my train of thought.

33. What’s the oldest age you would date?

It’s kind of..besides the point now that I’m getting married, but at one point I ‘dated’ a guy who was almost 10 years older than me. I DODGED A BULLET WITH THAT GUY!! With my experience, I probably wouldn’t pick someone more than 5 years older than me.

34. What’s the youngest age you would date?

I’ve always liked my guys to be slightly younger than me ( my fiance is about 9 months younger than me) and all my exs except the one mentioned in the above question were either the same age as me or a little younger. I wouldn’t date anyone born after 2000. Still doesn’t matter much since I’m getting married.😂

35. What job/career do most people say would suit you?

Retail. But that’s only because I’ve been in customer service so long that I have a lot of mannerisms that I have accidentally brought over into my personal life.

36. What’s your favorite music genre?

I don’t have one.

37. If you could live in any country in the world, where would it be?

AHGJDSAKLGHJA UHHH, WORK ON MY ATEEZ PROJECT!

DLCs for some software that I have.

Um...College Algebra and English were my best subjects.

First grade when I...liked this boy so much that I would kiss his cheek at least once every time we had gym class. Then he changed schools... (I found out later that it wasn’t my fault and that he had a slight crush on me then)

Just staying at the place and doing our thing while i have my head on their lap for example)
