The Little Vampire 2017 is a 9.5/10 for me Only because of short Gregory screen time

I mean... Look at the darling

He had more family chemistry with Rudolph than Anna did, and she had more screen time with Rudolph than Gregory.

It only reinforces my headcanon more that they were biological brothers turned into vampires by Freda and Frederick.

Greg's little scene meeting Tony also seemed like Rudolph wanting him approving of his boyfriend.

Rudolph, to Anna liking Tony:

Rudolph, wanting Gregory to like Tony:

Once more, this just reinforces my headcanon that Rudolph definitely has a better relationship with Gregory than Anna because Gregory and Rudolph were real brothers before being a vampire and they were just turned by Frederick and Freda, Anna is their biological vampire child .

He's special

"You are the cutest thing in the Hollow~" Ryder cooed, nuzzling the wet nose of one of the newborn bunnies. "Except compared to Gregory. But he's special..." He sighed dreamily.

An amused chuckle was soon heard, "What about me, pretty fairy?"

Ryder stilled, his eyes pinched shut in mortification, before slowly turning around to confirm that, yes, his pixie lover was right behind him and yes, he just heard that. "You..." He scowled, blushing. "You should really stop eavesdropping..."

"Sorry darling," Gregory hummed, flittering over to embrace his lover. "But I can't say I'm that sorry hearing about how you want to hold hands and Kiss me and stuff..."

Ryder groaned, face feeling even hotter that he's pretty sure his whole face upto his ears were pink. "Please," he whined. "Can you stop bringing up how I was practicing a confession with that line?"

Having mercy on the Animal fairy, Gregory did stop his teasing in favor of tilting Ryder's head just so he could kiss him on the nose first, before leaving a chaste kiss on the lips as well.

"For the record," Gregory hummed, "I'm not too sorry I overheard you that one time practicing with Dimitri and Jim because it gave me the push to stop running away from my own feelings for you."

Ryder couldn't argue with that. At this point, they were too caught up with each other they didn't notice when Aster had rolled his eyes and left with the bunnies and their mother to find a good place to rest after giving birth to ten bunnies.

I saw a post several days ago about Rhaenyra and the favoritism thing and how fucking stupid she was about it and I thought about it every day since because I can't help but make the comparison to the Sackville-Bagg kids?

Like, Greg may be his mother's favorite but I kind of think he hates her for it? Due to being the eldest and all I could see him coming to view her as "good cop" to Frederick's "bad cop".

However his relationship with his siblings is very solid. I'm sure part of it is "we're all vampires so we're all we've got for a while", but I can't help thinking it goes back to the day Rudolph was born bc not a one of them fuckin hesitates.

I wish we saw more of Gregory in the movie bc I'm pretty convinced he helped hide his siblings from Rookery on more than one occasion.

Situation: Tony freaks out over a spider, he asked Rudolph to kill it for him.

"Dude!" Tony gawked, absolutely mortified. "Ew!"

Rudolph raised a brow, finishing his chewing and swallowed before responding. "What?" he asked. "you told me to kill it."

"Not like that! It's gross!"

"It's a spider." Gregory deadpanned, "It's not really different from the tiny food you mortals eat, and it's a lot less gross than what you call a gum."

Tony looked all the more incredulous, "It's really, really not!"
