There is something so special about District 11. The love, and loyalty. The kindness passed on to other tributes. They are my Roman empire.

Reddening a moose bone ring to aid in facilitating congress with The Land. As far as I’m aware moose aren’t especially sacred to the tribes here nor could I find any stories where they played a significant role. Tho please do correct me if I’m wrong!
EDIT: there’s a rather funny folk story here regarding “Specter Moose”. Couldn’t help but think of it during the process haha.

headcannon michael was a tinkerer in general, but more so understress (hence Helpy, PanManStan, #1 Crate, Mr.Hugs, ect) so whenever Glamfreddy's circuts are a bit overworked he'll go to his greenroom and just start building stuff lol

I know some people were caught off guard by Q!Cellbit's big reveal, but just a friendly reminder that he's not the only genius among the Brazilians, those guys ar ALL incredibly smart, it just doesn't seem like it because they're also huge dumbasses (affectionate).
QSMP spoilers below (tho they're more my reading of events than 100% facts and I'm really biased)
Forever knows Cellbit's whole federation loving bullshit is a con, he knew from day one, he can't prove it, but he mentioned it as a likely possibility multiple times, he's not mad at Cellbit for joining the federation, he's mad at Cellbit because he's being a jerk about it and threatening to change Richarlyson's custody agreement, he knows it's a con, but he's smart enough to be prepared for the off chance it isn't, and even when the truth gets revealed it doesn't mean all the hurtful things Cellbit said will be forgiven.
I'll be honest I don't watch Tazercraft that often, but on the first five minutes I tapped into their streams I heard Mike saying that this all must be a plan, them and Cellbit go way back, and while part of it might be wishful thinking they know this is not Cellbit the conspiracy maniac who was completely against the federation, they know there must be something else there, they considered the possibility of him going crazy, but they're also considering the idea of it all being planned.
Cellbit thinks he fooled everyone, but his friends saw through him almost immediately, they're pissed at him not because of the betrayal, but because he's being a jerk, they don't trust him enough to be certain of the whole infiltration plan, they're definitely wary of him, but it's less because they think he's a threat and more because they're afraid that whatever plan he has might backfire badly and he decided to bet on too high stakes in line without letting anyone else in.

Subjectivity of "Experience"
An interesting bit of Grian being an unreliable narrator in Firewatch AU is how he's constantly talking about how Mumbo would never have made any mistakes, because he knows better, because he's experienced.
But honestly, how experienced WAS Mumbo? Because I'm pretty sure that Grian states that he and Mumbo didn't start hiking or backpacking until they came to Colorado. (If that wasn't in the fic, then I apologize, but it's definitely in my notes and my intentions in writing it.) Before that, they'd grown up their entire lives in an urban environment. So that means at maximum, they each only have two years of experience as backpackers, since they'd only been in the state for two years.
I'm not saying it's impossible to become experienced in two years. But I think it's comparatively not very much time in this kind of sport. I think it's likely they were doing more casual outings or weekend outings in good-weather seasons/days. In the first scene of chapter one, when Mumbo wants to go camping, Grian automatically assumes he means on the weekend and gets annoyed about the suggestion he should take off work. So...I think it's likely that while they enjoyed it as a new hobby, they probably weren't exceptionally experienced yet. Like, I don't think they were doing super technical hikes and wilderness survival stuff on the regular, you know what I mean? They're both city-dwellers who work office jobs who only moved there two years ago.
Now you've also got to pair it with another key factor, which is that Grian states TWICE in the story that he didn't know how to navigate or wayfind very well until after Mumbo went missing. He says that the trails they used to go on that were close to Denver had always been fairly popular and he didn't worry about getting lost on well-marked trails. He didn't worry much about maps before. As you can see in this article, navigating accurately with a map and compass isn't dead simple. You have to take bearings of landmarks and learn how to adjust for the natural declination between magnetic north and true north. A lot of Grian's outdoor knowledge in the fic is things he learned or improved at after Mumbo disappeared, as part of his effort to find Mumbo.
So my question is just kind of...are we to assume Mumbo was that much MORE experienced than Grian? When we know they bought all their gear together at the same time and always did the activities as a pair? Isn't it much more likely they had similar skillsets?
Which indicates that, well, maybe Mumbo wasn't all that great at maps either :/
This is a long rambly way of saying that Grian's constant insistence that Mumbo was experienced and knew all the rules and wouldn't have ever done anything wrong isn't just him being in denial, it's also just a straight up misperception of Mumbo's skills in the first place.

I've seen this going on for a while, and I have to say something, so... genuine question. why do people that write OC x CC feel like they should turn it in a CC x reader? I come from a fandom that thrived off OCs so maybe that's why I can't understand it. I also don't read CC x reader, so there's that too. but genuinely, it feels like this very prominent dislike for OCs has pushed writers in that direction against their complete will (I mean, that's my impression. Perhaps they do like putting the reader in their OC's shoes). and I get a bit sad, because your OC's story is... Your OC's story. That's what it makes it special. No one can fit that role better than them. I want to know more about this silly character you decided to put in that universe, and I cannot do that if it's a "x you" thing.

"Well look what the cat dragged in." Or rather snake. Sasori wasn't expecting to see the white scales of his ex partner anytime soon. Then again, this was Orochimaru. Fucker had his methods of finding things out. "Now what's got someone like you coming to visit lil old me, aye?" There's a dangerous smile on the once-immortal beings face, watching the other closely.

honestly the ambiguity of whether the Web-aligned tapes pulled Jon out of The Buried or if the act of Martin leaving them was actually what did it is so important to the ending in retrospect. what do you believe in? love or fear? did their love take Jon and Martin Somewhere Else, or were their feelings just a means to an end? A way of getting the job done?

i love the different interpretations of what happens to physical bodies after revival. like with c!wilbur did he revive from the same bones? was the organic material recycled? did he have to dig his way out of rubble to be reuinited with the world? or did he appear right over where his bones still rest without a proper burial, forgotten by the people he thought would at least give him a funeral?
