hi new writer!! i came from leorawright’s blog after they reposted your post :) i’m waffle house anon! i have a tiny request but this one may seem a little bit silly:

can we get genji, hanzo, cassidy and ramattra (not sure if this is too many!!) with a partner that is very gentle and quiet, but during an interrogation, they promptly launch into pure southern twang and threatening the person they’re interrogating with very weird terms (ex. “i’m gonna kick you so hard that you’ll be in the commercial f’er blueberries”).

Gengi:

He knows how gentle you are, and offered to do the interrogation himself. He was surprised when you ensured him that you had this.

He was extremely shocked (and a little terrified) when the accent came out, but he immediately broke down into hysterical laughter when he saw the look on the captive's face.

He's never seen someone confess so fast.

"Remind me not to get on your bad side," is all he could say through his laughter.

Hanzo:

Skeptical at first, but agreed to let you handle the interrogation. He stood in the corner of the room in case things got dicey though.

He quickly realized you wouldn't need the help the second you started flying off the handle on the captive.

He had to hold back quite a few snickers at the creativity of some of your insults.

Eventually you left to let Hanzo finish up, and he basically said to the captive to give him the information or else he would send you back in.

They confessed.

Cassidy:

He trusted you to handle the interrogation, but he knew how gentle you usually were, so he stuck around outside in case you needed help.

He absolutely lost it when he heard the accent come out.

I'm talking just straight up wheezing laughing.

He offered to buy you lunch after that because he was genuinely impressed.

Insisted that you teach him some of the insults you used.

Ramattra:

Wasn't convinced you would be able to handle interrogating a prisoner, so he went in to do it himself.

Eventually, you both realized you were getting nowhere, and you shoved Ramattra to the side and starting going off on the prisoner.

Ramattra just sat and watched you absolutely tear this captive to shreds.

Suppressed a laugh at some of the insults you threw out.

Was high-key impressed, but he'd never say that to your face.

ok so, people of tumblr who know any and all chinese history I need help,

is there a book I can read that's accessible about an overview of chinese history? I have bought a couple of books made by westerners that left me dissatisfied to say the least. And most decent books I had available are like, post-cultural revolution history only.

I am looking for a very basic overview but I would accept an in-depth book on a topic that's kinda interesting

#i did read a biography of gengis khan but that was very specific and also I don't fully trust that book either. tbh. #I'm looking for a clean slate lets say. A reboot of my chinese history knowledge.

Depressing General Grievous Headcanon:

Grievous was 40 standard years old when he was so rudely obliterated &, not that he'd brag or anything, but he was in pretty good shape for all he had been through.

Kaleesh have a similar natural lifespan to humans but it isn't quite the norm for them to reach it. Warrior cultures glorified burning hot & fast, so to speak. If you were a warrior, each year you made it after you started in the field was impressive. Grievous spending most of his life single-handedly rallying his people against much more superior enemy forces made kaleesh feel like he was utterly unstoppable.

Indeed, he himself found it impressive that he had all of his limbs & digits intact. This was not for lack of trying on the Huk's part or even by his own part reverse engineering advanced technology. Still, as any good kaleesh is, he was covered in scars. Some more extreme injuries hounded his overworked joints. The Techno Union graciously replaced his left shoulder joint with a newly developed cybernetic replacement a few years before they graciously rebuilt his entire body. Although what was left of him was in a constant state of pain, it was not the same. It didn't hinder his functioning. Now he really was unstoppable.

General Grievous took every advantage over his mechanical frame & regularly threw himself into battle with complete abandon. Wat Tambor & Poggle would find themselves redesigning bits & pieces that proved incapable of keeping up with the general, especially his "neck" apparatus. This tapered off after the first 6 months of the Clone Wars, as Dooku would begin to chastise Grievous about wasting time & money.

That whole Gengis Khan video got me thinking of Aideku. Them as enemies to lovers would be so great. Sweet as anything number one hero with obsessed angsty number one villain. And ahhh Aizawa letting Izuku go, just so they can end up house husbands together 💛

I want you to know that every time I saw this in my motifs or my inbox the song got stuck in my head.

But I am 100% seeing the vision here.

Sweet number one Dekiru who for all his bright smiles for the cameras afte the saves the day yet again comes come alone and feeling so empty. Hardened villain Eraserhead who turned his back from the hero world after the death of one of his best friends (and more) and decides to make the world choke on it. who feels the ache of that loss every day. Feels the space once filled with brilliant smiles and booming laughter. Feels it in the cavern in his chest and turns to his “work” to fill that void.

His work that is often interrupted by Dekiru.

The two of them tiptoe around each other constantly until eventually Dekiru is captured by a group of villains and it’s deemed too dangerous for the heroes to save him.

So Eraserhead goes in by himself and tears the entire group apart single-handedly. There’s a moment as he stands over Dekiru (tied down costume shredded leaving them in only their undershirt and shorts vulnerable in a way that seems completely against their larger than life persona) and realizes this is it. This could be his victory in hand. Clearly no one but Dekiru could stop him if no one even came to rescue him. Their number one.

But

A life without those green eyes. I’m without that razor sharp wit. Without breathless laughter in the middle of their fights.

He lets Dekiru go.

A week later, far sooner than Izuku should have been released from the hospital, he finds a half delirious pro hero on his balcony cuddling a stray cat and asking shouta to marry him.

(He waits for Izuku to heal and not be on a high enough dome of pain killers to kill the population of a small country before he returns the question. He isn’t one for waiting for what he wants after all)
