Delta Types
Delta types are those with Fi-Te & Ne-Si as their oscillation pairs. We have seen that among all delta types run themes of quirkiness and nerdiness. Whether it’s in the form of the eccentric nerd, the walking encyclopedia, the unsocial yet sensitive seelie, the tinkering collector, or the fantastical entrepreneur – all share the qualities of independence and off-beat spontaneity. They are imaginative but not always to any conventional means. They are efficient and productive but also quite scattered and roundabout; expending energies in novel directions with signs of promise or resonance with deep personal conviction.
Like the alpha types, deltas will have a higher level of leniency toward human failure and weakness. They will aspire to create an arrangement that allows for privacy, freedom and functional support. At their best, delta types will be keenly sensitive to the most ethically sound position, however obscure or unconventional, and find novel ways to organize their life to suit that ethical sense. They may also pioneer a new field of study, trailblazing into uncharted territory with the empiricism and mentality of a researcher and the heart of a child.
In their worst form, their nerdiness can manifest a rather autistic persona and mechanically-minded detachment from people. A father may be an expert at tennis, with halls of trophies in his house and a CEO position, but have an aloofness toward his children; a lacking parental touch. The emotionally oblivious delta type can remedy this by turning their attention within. A connection with their own private world is necessary for this quadrant to avoid the desensitizing steel of capitalism and allow for a convergence of life and work.
Tumblr media
Te+Si Bureaucrat
The Te+Si function combination merges together Te's understanding of mechanical dynamics, with Si's understanding of discrete local contexts, producing an understanding of life as an assortment of discrete mechanical operations. Each of these operations requires tailored solutions to its own situation, giving rise to a multitude of separate protocols. This inclines the Te+Si towards a style of legalistic reasoning, whether the laws are man-made bureaucracies or the laws of nature. The Te+Si combination has a natural aptitude for scientific reasoning on one hand, but it also has an inclination towards over-systematizing things on the other.
Tumblr media
Fi+Ne Etherealist
The Fi+Ne function combination produces an experience where life is percieved by Ne impressionisitically and suspended from actuality, while Fi aims to embody its raw, uninhibited nature through those impressions. Fi carries an essential core it wishes to radiate out, but that core has no definite form of expression; only a spectral Ne range that takes many forms. This leads Fi+Ne to have an ethereal embodiment; felt as real, but ungraspable and beyond. When applied to creativity, this can produce a magical effect on one hand, or a nerdy quirkiness on the other.
Tumblr media
Te+Ne Inventor
The Te+Ne function combination merges Te's mechanistic causality with Ne's imaginative potential, creating a dynamic, inventive cognition. This cognitive union combines logistical strategies with creative possibilities, creating a scientific yet unconventional approach to problem-solving. Outside of science, this approach also produces an inventive approach towards human interaction, leading to witty, off-the-wall humor. The Te+Ne combination can lead to a strong innovative spirit on one hand, or to a scatterbrained tinkerer on the other.
Tumblr media
Fi+Si Druidist
The Fi+Si combination produces a spiritual approach, created by Si’s connection to discrete local details and Fi’s attunement to the animate energies embedded in those localities. What results is a method of self-reflection that grounds itself in the spiritual energies (Fi) of local beings or environments (Si). One example of this approach is found in the Druidist tradition, which holds a deep veneration for nature, seeing the natural world as a manifestation of the divine. The Fi+Si combination can lead towards a merging with the innate energies of local landscapes on one hand, or it can lead to a conservative technological retrogression on the other.

Sometimes it’s impossible for me to watch Voyager without thinking about what the concept inevitably would have been translated into had it aired 5-10 years later. Battlestar Galactica was on in 2004 - which is mindblowing to me! Especially when Voyager went off the air in 2001. Especially knowing that RDM cut his teeth on and was hugely influenced by Star Trek.
I’m 100000% sure I’m not saying anything that hasn’t already been said, but like - what a huge departure in worldview, re: how our culture circled around this new, grittier, more “realistic” vision of exploring the possibilities opened up by the science fiction genre. Two space operas about a disparate group that has to either pull together or die while stranded in the unknown: Voyager and its rampant idealism, an arguably sanitized process of telling ourselves stories about the human condition and its constants now and the future the story envisions for ourselves, vs. the endless fault lines and compromises of self and scraping for survival and humanity, and if you’re lucky you get both together, of BSG.

My favourite kind of fan theories are the ones that don't change the plot or the characters in any particular way, but add just a little silver of more context that makes sense from the story perspective, doesn't really contradict any part of the canon, but would still probably make the original creator look at you funny because they had absolutely not thought of it like that.
Consider the hobbits. They are by definition cheery people, who value simple things, creature comforts, and all the things that make life enjoyable and pleasant. The highest goal in life is to simply have a good time. They are, however, also very conventional, tend to stick to tradition and common customs, and are altogether - for the lack of a better word - very conservative people. However, these two things are not mutually exclusive.
As hobbits consider living an enjoyable life to be the highest goal, there is no reason why their social rules or customs would be that keen on restricting ordinary and harmless natural behaviours. Sure, their society is extermely normative and values conformity, but why would a people who put so much value on simply living a nice, simple life and minding their own business even have traditional values that are needlessly, unpleasantly restrictive?
For all we know, maybe hobbit society's conventional ideas of love and romance function by some sort of homestuck troll love quadrant logic, and they don't consider it anything abnormal to have several overlapping relationships that are distinct from each other in nature. Both Sam and Frodo considered it beyond obvious that Sam would eventually go back to the Shire to marry Rosie and have 13 children with her. Sam - a very traditional hobbit - never contemplated having to choose between the two, or having to apologise to one about the existence of the other.
Maybe a gentlehobbit having A Thing with his gardener is barely even something interesting enough to gossip about, but it's remarkable that just this once Frodo Bagging seems to be doing something normal.

"Why I don't write F/F" thread proceeded just as unproductively as I expected. It wasn't about moralizing about the women not writing F/F, it was a question about why personal reasons for avoiding a configuration aren't reflected in opposite directions by other groups. Unlike race, gender has an almost 50/50 split, there's a scale to the proportions not there for other types of identity category. "The femslash police suck" is a factor I can understand. But why wouldn't "personal reasons I just don't feel it towards this configuration" end up an even distribution across the population? The expectation for women to write about women isn't a moral rule, it's that if you allow the logic "men in control of stories write about men (and that's why more mainstream stories center men)", then the flip side is, well, why people clamor for more women behind the camera and in the writers' room. Either accept the logic for both sides or challenge it for both sides. Instead we have the worst of both worlds, we accept it for one side and challenge it for the other. Where's the parallel universe where this imbalance somehow resulted in a different quadrant being the smallest proportion of ships?
--
Why wouldn't "personal reasons" be even? Because the kinds of issues people face based on their demographic aren't.
But I think the larger factor is how socialization affects choice of hobbies and volunteer efforts. Cis men and cis women, on average, go in for different flavors. The dudes tend to be more bothered by the idea of "not getting anything back" for what feels like work. When they do do unpaid labor, it's often the kind that accrues glory and career prospects rather than less showy social ties. Open source coding projects where they can be important, yes. Writing fanfic, no.
Looking up any analysis of volunteering and unpaid work that makes such-and-such a part of society function will get you a lot of discussion of this gendered difference. It's pervasive.
Of course, this is just a broad trend. Plenty of guys do write fanfic, and when they dominate a fanfic space, we see tons of fic focused on the female characters they find attractive, including f/f fic.
And if you're asking about cis gay men specifically... well... again, gendered socialization means that the issues faced by cis lesbians and cis gay men are not equivalent. The reasons and ways that people employ allegory to talk about things "too close to home" will likewise not be exactly the same. Traditional US gay male culture goes in for drag and for an obsession with Hollywood divas and The Golden Girls. Plenty is being mediated through female personas; it's just not translating into fanfic specifically. But most people making "Leave the fujoshi alone" arguments are not thinking about cis gays: they're thinking about people in messier identity categories.
The biggest difference is not behavior but simply that cis men are a small minority on FFN, AO3, and Wattpad, the three big fanfic archives. (Some ancient FFN research found that it was 78% female, and that's the archive known for having more men!) The places with more cis guys are much smaller and don't get talked about as much by most fandom history and fandom meta types from the AO3 side of things.
The reason cis men's taste in favorite characters isn't being "pushed back against" isn't a double standard: it's because:
Cis men simply aren't that relevant to site-wide trends on AO3
and
2. The reverse pattern does happen all the time with vanishingly little m/m and lots of f/f
You sound like you think we'd make this fanfic-specific argument about pro media. In fact, plenty of queer women are open that they produce original f/f but not f/f fanfic or they produce f/f fanworks but not fic. A lot of the "too close to home" arguments are specifically about the kind of id fuel, naked-in-public vibes of AO3-style fanfic. Writing that is less id-driven may not feel that same way. A given woman might have a much easier time writing a mystery novel about a lesbian detective who never gets laid on page than a steamy f/f bodice ripper.
The parallel universe you ask about exists. It's horny imageboards full of fan art of anime girls.
The reason you sound judgmental and are getting "unproductive" responses is that you're phrasing things as though we're refusing to solve a problem. In reality, we're attempting to analyze the situation that exists. It's a descriptive approach.

Gamma Types
Gamma types are those with Fi-Te & Se-Ni as their oscillation pairs. The four gamma types share an opposite orientation toward society and culture. While the alpha and beta types advocate a culture with a decent degree of uniformity, the gamma quadrant aims to meet the outer world with an objective approach and the inner world with a subjective approach. Logistics manage the necessities of life while individuality is cherished and preserved – even though they may not always agree among themselves.
Themes of philanthropy span across this quadrant and their absence of social protocols and obligations is answered with a heartfelt concern for incapable or less fortunate people. Especially in high Fi types, there will be a strong agency for the underdog. While the beta quadrant is susceptible to throwing some under the bus of social condemnation, the gamma quadrant will be passionate about reducing this type of inequality. On the other hand, gamma types will generally expect for people to remain self-sufficient once they can stand on their two feet and will have little sympathy for those who cannot make a success of their life after being given a fair start.
In its worst form, the gamma quadrant can develop a highly utilitarian mindset which feels self-justified in its success and indifferent toward the weak. They may become materialistic and vain, exalting beauty and individualistic perfection.
Tumblr media
Te+Ni Meritocrat
The Te+Ni function combination merges together Te's understanding of mechanical dynamics, with Ni's holistic grasp of the world's workings, producing a linear understanding of how things are achieved across time. This naturally inclines the Te+Ni to put into practice their understanding of life, and achieve results through their own merits and independence while advocating for everyone's ability to do the same. However, while Te+Ni can lead to personal success and independence on one hand, its can also lead the individual to overpower and undermine those less able to match their executive functioning.
Tumblr media
Fi+Se Sensualist
The Fi+Se function combination produces an experience where life is percieved by Se viscerally and connected to literal reality, while Fi aims to align that experience perfectly with their raw, uninhibited nature. The result is an embodied approach to lived experience, where Se's creativity is channeled through Fi's authentic self-alignment, creating artistry that perfectly resonates with the nature of their essence. This can lead to a radical authenticity on one hand, or to an unhealthy egoism on the other.
Tumblr media
Te+Se Realizer
The Te+Se function combination merges Te's mechanistic causality with Se's dynamic engagement with the present moment, resulting in a forceful drive towards realizing objectives. This cognitive union leads Te+Se to act decisively, cutting through complexities with a quick and linear approach. What results is a dynamic effectiveness, making Te+Se formidable in startup culture, leadership and businesses. The Te+Se combination can lead to rapid achievements and efficiency on one hand, or it may also result in impatience for the subtler aspects of situations.
Tumblr media
Fi+Ni Occultist
The Fi+Ni combination produces a metaphysical approach, created by Ni’s focus on thematic convergences across time, and Fi’s attunement to the animate energies embedded in those converging lines. What results is a method of introspection that aims to directly access eternal universal patterns through one’s essence-resonance with those patterns. One example of this approach is found in the Occult tradition, which seeks to harness supernatural forces via a direct engagement with mystical phenomena. The Fi+Ni combination can lead towards a merging with spiritual energies on one hand, or to becoming lost in enigmatic esotericism on the other.

Today, I’m thinking about AUSPISTICISM.
Specifically about how, during Act 5 Act 2, Jade and Karkat were functionally a two-person ashen relationship, wherein they both function as the auspistice for the other and a different version of themself.
More specifically, I’m thinking about when Jade mediated between past and future Karkats and when Karkat mediated between Jade and Jadesprite (sidenote : yes, I do think ashen trios can and should kiss, just like I think all the quadrants should).
I genuinely think 1) that these are the BEST examples of ashen romance that we get in the comic and 2) that ashen Jadekat is underrated.

hello! i just saw your recent post about procrastination as a learned behavior and had a "....oh." moment after doing a bit of research. i thought things would be fixed when i got on meds, and they weren't. i started realizing that the reason i confused executive dysfunction and procrastination was because dysfunction made me start to think "well, i know i'm not going to get this done, so i might as well not try" and i started pushing things to the side. this felt a lot better short term, but it's not sustainable. i'm stressed all the time, and double stressed because i can't figure out how to stop.
i've been trying to figure out a way to get myself to just do things, but i don't know how, and knowing that it's a learned behavior helps me a lot, because now i know it's possible to unlearn it. do you have any advice? thank you.
Sent October 4, 2023
I'm so glad this helped you reframe your procrastination! I know how much it can help to realize that it might be possible to change things that feel impossible to change.
There are a number of different ways to deal with procrastination. I just learned a new method that I'm going to try, called the "Solve-It Grid", that has you categorize the things you need to do based on how they make you feel. What I like about this method is that it emphasizes how much ADHDers rely on how we feel to get us through the day, and it can help us get things done by getting us to consider how we feel and how the tasks will make us feel. The idea is that if we match our tasks to how we feel, things will be easier overall.
I linked above to the article on ADDitude about it, but I actually first heard about it on YouTube, via the channel Minimalist Home (link to video). I've been trying to use the TickTick app on my phone, but I find it really anxiety-inducing to have all these scheduled tasks telling me I didn't do them.
TickTick has an Eisenhower Matrix section, and I'd tried personalizing it using a slightly different method from the usual, but it wasn't quite as helpful as I'd hoped due to the due date issue. So now I've redone it and changed the requirements for each quadrant based on the Solve-It Grid. I'll try to remember to update you on how it's working out. (If you decide to try TickTick and would like help personalizing the Eisenhower Matrix section like I did, let me know and I'll see if I can make a video showing how.)
Several years ago, I read the book The Procrastination Equation, by Piers Steel. It was really good and had lots of interesting information in it. He talks about the different reasons people procrastinate and how to deal with each reason. He never hits on the whole executive dysfunction/ADHD part of it that affects us, but I found that if I applied his methods half the battle was done. As in, the ADHD part was still an issue, but the non-ADHD part was dealt with. Because as much as we all like to pretend that ADHD is the problem, the fact is that we aren't just ADHD. We have lots of other stuff going on in our heads, and those impact our functioning as well. I took loads of notes and am happy to share what I learned in a dedicated post if people are interested. (I thought I might have posted it already but I can't find it, and my notes are on my personal LJ so I can copy them over easy.)

The Distance - Ch 12
Tumblr media
Pairing: Din Djarin x Pilot F!Reader (reader is petite/no other descriptors)
Word Count/Rating: 2.1k / T (will become M/E in later chapters)
Summary: Surprises rock the Chimera.
Warnings: Din puts his foot in his mouth<3
Previous || Series Masterlist || Next
Tumblr media
Alarms are blaring throughout the Chimera. Lights flash everywhere as you frantically flip switches and press buttons on the main console. The control stick trembles in your hand, unaccustomed to this level of speed and agility. She's a good ship but she's not made for these kinds of maneuvers.
You hear Din running into the cockpit only for you to yell, "I don't need you up here! Get into the gun well and start blasting at some of these rocks!"
Another asteroid nears the left side of the Chimera, forcing you into a tight turn that nearly throws him off his feet. You're thankful that he doesn't complain.
It's a mystery where this asteroid belt came from. It's not on any of your maps. You would have never dropped to sublight in this quadrant if it had. Your only stroke of luck is that the belt is relatively small, which greatly increases your chance of getting out alive.
Blaster fire reverberates from below you, turning some of the debris into dust. Not for the first time you’re thankful to have a Mandalorian with you. You’re not sure what you would have done alone or with someone who couldn’t couldn’t hit the broad side of a bantha.
The way out becomes easier with Din clearing a path. Rather than simply reacting, you’re able to press forward through the belt. Still, the Chimera shakes with the effort it’s taking to get through in one piece. Tex beeps wildly back at the center console, adding to the litany of noise going on inside the ship.
“I know buddy, I can see it,” you yell back. A massive asteroid is drawing nearer to the ship, an impossible to miss flash on the radar.
You’re about to call out to Din when you hear him over the comm. “I’m on it.”
The blasterfire focuses to the right, firing faster than you knew the Chimera’s guns could. The asteroid starts breaking into pieces. Through the rubble a clear path out of the belt finally makes itself apparent.
“Hold on!” you yell, wildly maneuvering the ship. Somehow, thankfully, Din also sees the path you’re taking and focuses his fire on keeping it clear. With one final hard turn to the right, the Chimera breaks free of the deadly field.
You slam the controls and launch into hyperspace. There’s no set destination, but anywhere is better than the asteroids. You go over to the main computer, searching for any nearby planets with fully outfitted mechanics. There’s no temporary repairs that will fix the damage both the Chimera and N1 just sustained. Din comes up behind you, peering at the computer screen.
“How’s the ship?” he asks.
“Bad. Main functions are online, but we need to find the nearest spaceport or repair bay.”
"There," Din says, pointing at the map. His finger has landed on some nearby dustbowl planet in the Outer Rim. You look up at him, questioning.
It's only now that you register how close he is to you. You have to practically look straight up make eye contact with the black of his helmet, the chin of which is nearly bumping his chest. Warmth is radiating from his body and you're not sure if that's the vestiges of sleep clinging to him or adrenaline still coursing through his veins. You have no idea if this level of proximity was intentional.
"I have some friends there, one's a mechanic."
Good enough reason for you. "You heard him Tex, set course for Tatooine."

There isn’t much time to prepare for landing. It’s nice to have a secure place to land on a nearby planet, but you have no idea what to expect. Din hadn't really elaborated on his friends.
Discovering that Din has someone that he would even consider a friend, let alone multiple on the same planet, was shocking in and of itself. Could they be Mandalorians? Distant family? Friends in arms? Past lovers? The possibilities make your head swirl.
The descent is relatively easy into Hangar 3-5. At the very least nothing falls off your ship, so things can't be too bad. Grogu also seems to grow in excitement, making you wonder just how much time Din has spent here for the small fry to recognize it.
Even more surprising is the loud and fierce voice that floats into the Chimera. "What did you do to my ship, Mando? She's one-of-a-kind, you can't go smashing her up!"
Stepping down the ramp, you're greeted by a small, wiry haired mechanic bearing down on Din like she's his mother. It's the closest you've ever seen Din come to being cowed by someone.
"Don't go too hard on him. We were surprised by an unmarked asteroid belt," you call down.
The mechanic's sharp eyes turn toward you, analyzing you in half a second. A wide grin splits across her face. “Got yourself a girlfriend, Mando? Didn’t take you for the type.” You can feel your cheeks burn.
There's a pause before Din speaks. “No, she’s… she’s just a pilot.” His words feel like knives. You don't let it show.
You step past Din and offer your hand out to her to shake. “And mechanic, occasional babysitter and medic. He forgot those.”
"Sounds about right. Peli Motto." Peli has barely dropped your hand before she's yelling out for her pit droids to start scanning the ships.
Before anything else can be said, you stride back over to the Chimera and start taking in the damage for yourself. At least, that's half of what you're doing. You refuse to let your emotions show before a woman you've just met and a man who apparently thinks of you as just a pilot.
You feel foolish, having heard him brush you off so easily. You thought there had been a change between the two of you. More fleeting touches, more shared looks that lasted just a bit too long, enough that at some point you stopped denying that they happened in the first place. You didn’t consider yourself his girlfriend, the label didn’t feel appropriate, but you were more than just a pilot. Or so you thought.
Peli walks up beside you, Grogu tucked into the crook of her arm. "Let my pit droids worry about this. I'll share their work-up with you."
You appreciate the gesture. There’s no doubt her sharp eyes have already taken note of the Chimera's many modifications. She's clearly a woman who understands the bond between a pilot and their ship.
She nods her head at you and Din, walking towards the interior of the hangar with the clear implication for you to follow. Din’s long legs allow him to catch up to you quickly and his gloved hand brushes the back of yours as you walk. A couple hours ago a touch like that would have set you aflame, but now it makes your blood run cold. You ignore it, moving your hand away from his.
Getting to the back of the hangar, you purposely sit across the table from Din. You don’t feel like dealing with any more accidental touches at the moment. Part of you feels childish for it, but your wounded pride is currently in the driver's seat. Just a pilot, what utter banthashit that is.
"Here you go." Peli places a glass of water in front of you and turns to Din. "I'd offer you some, but I know you won't drink it with your Creed and all that."
Din doesn't say anything and you thank her for the drink. You can feel the sweltering heat of the planet even in the shade. Sweat is already causing your clothes to stick to your skin.
Grogu climbs out of Peli’s arms and sits on top of the table between you and Din. You wonder if he can feel the awkward energy radiating between the two of you. Peli seems oblivious to it, launching into a discussion with Din about current dealings on Tatooine. You tune them out. It’s not that the discussion bores you, normally you would listen with rapt attention to learn anything you can about the world you’ve landed on, but your thoughts are otherwise occupied.
Why did he touch your hand just then? First he dismisses you, barely even acknowledging the sort of relationship that's built between you over the months, and then he moves for contact? Those aren't games you ever expected him to play. You aren't even asking for all that much, just a genuine acknowledgment of your role. Just a pilot, how dismissive. Even being called a crewmate would have been better than that.
A pit droid walking up distracts you from your sullen thoughts. He speaks to Peli and then immediately turns around, going back to the Chimera.
"Good news and bad news," Peli says. "Bad news for you, these repairs are going to take a few days. Good news, you can pay me to fix it."
"How is that good news?" Din asks.
"Good news for me." Peli stands and walks off, yelling directions at her droids, not giving Din a chance to argue.
You're not sure what this means for you. Remarkably, you haven’t been fully grounded anywhere in years. There were a handful of close calls, but you always managed to make something work to get the Chimera back off the ground. This is unprecedented. The Chimera grounded and Din with no bounty to chase. What are you going to do?
Din gets up from the table and goes to follow Peli, presumably to talk about the timeline for repairs. You'll talk with her later about what actually needs to be done to your ship. You stay with Grogu at the table, only catching snippets of their conversation from afar.
"-too much."
"Do you know what it costs to-"
"-pay extra credits."
After some more back and forth, Din returns to the small table. Grogu turns his attention from you to his father. He grabs hold of one of Din's fingers and shakes it around a bit, which if the kid's reaction is anything to go off of, is a fascinating thing to do.
"What's our plan?" you ask Din.
"What do you mean?" He keeps his focus on Grogu as he replies, wiggling his other fingers for the child.
"I mean we're stuck here for a few days with nothing on the agenda, so what are we going to do?"
"We can go sightsee."
Din puts the idea out there so simply and honestly it takes you aback. Din Djarin, the Mandalorian, sightseeing? You thought he was going to say something about finding a bounty, not sound like he was some mudscuffer on vacation in Coruscant. Is there even anything to go sightsee on this dustbowl planet?
"Sorry, what?" you ask.
"There's a little town to the north, Mos Pelgo. We can go there." Din sounds serious. The idea of sightseeing isn't some elaborate joke from him, he actually wants to go.
Peli reappears and must have heard Din mention the northern city because she asks, “Why would you go back out there?”
“There’s someone out there I’d like to check in on," Din says.
Interesting. This must be that other friend Din obliquely mentioned before. Someone close enough that they're worth visiting with your few days to kill. Maybe some paramour from his past? You've never considered that he could have previous romantic interests hidden around the galaxy. It would explain his rude and casual brush off of your relationship earlier if one is here on Tatooine. You try to ignore the pit in your stomach you feel forming while you consider the existence of some lover in Mos Pelgo, waiting for Din's return.
"You're in luck then, I fixed up a speeder bike while you were gone. Piece of junk like the other one you busted, but it should get you there," Peli offers.
Before Din can say anything, you cut in. "Just the one?"
"You’re lucky I fixed up that one."
“There isn’t another bike? Or a landspeeder?” This has to be some kind of cruel joke the galaxy is playing on you. Somehow, in all the piles of scrap Peli had lying around the hangar, she only has one speeder? And it's just a bike? Maker, your luck is terrible.
“Nope.”
“You’re sure you can’t scrounge up another?” you press further.
“Look girlie, I like you but not that much. The one bike is all I’ve got,” Peli says, throwing her hands into the air.
“It’s fine,” Din’s gruff voice breaks up the small debate. “The one bike is fine.”
Din stands up from the table. "Peli, can you look after the kid?"
Peli looks a little shocked to be asked but scrambles to say yes. She picks Grogu up and holds him on her hip, as though she suspects Din might change his mind and take Grogu back. It's settled then. You're heading to Mos Pelgo.

I just thought about how Seven didn't have her own quarters and the show didn't address it, there were only hints that it's because of her Borg chamber. But it's basically an equivalent to a disabled person being forced into living in a garage because no one was willing to make their room accessible for charging their prosthetic limb, and said garage wasn't even changed into a room and was still a functional garage and storage space. If they couldn't give her crew quarters for some reason, they should have at least make a divider in the cargo bay for some semblance of privacy.
I am LITERALLY always thinking about how a couple of dividers... with a door... that Seven could lock if she wanted to regenerate alone... would've been so easy to set up in Cargo Bay 2, even if the Borg alcoves couldn't be moved!! I understand the idea of there being a logistical problem in trying to mess with Borg tech that even Seven doesn't seem to be able to manage by herself (and, on a production level, that the Borg alcoves had been built in the Cargo Bay set) but it could've easily been solved just by giving Seven control over the Cargo Bay 2 doors and moving elsewhere the really necessary stuff that the crew needed to have access to at all time.
I think the issue is that privacy, especially surrounding medical practice and treatment, has never been thought through on Trek, partly for plot reasons (it makes for better drama if everyone knows about everyone else's medical issues), and partly because the times have changed and some narratives have luckily gone out of fashion. When I was a teen in the early 00s it was still pretty common to find an instance of 'watching over someone while they sleep without the sleeping person knowing' as a romantic trope, or at least as something that denoted care. Imho these... misguided ideas about access and control are behind Seven's living situation too, another one of those terrible misogynistic clichés she's subjected to. Obviously no one on the show thought that it was a problem for her to be in Cargo Bay 2, with everyone in the crew still coming and going, although from what I can tell the fandom did notice the issue pretty much immediately—I've read older fanfics that tried to address it at least. And when Seven is shown having her own quarters is basically only as a part of her fantasy of 'becoming more human', as if before getting to a certain threshold of human-ness she wasn't entitled to said quarters or any kind of privacy?? I can understand that at first the Voyager crew was really wary of her but the fact that things stayed that way for years without ever changing... In hindsight it's a really bizarre choice.
In general I explain this diegetically with both Voyager being constantly in emergency mode and having other priorities to always tackle first and Seven not realizing in those four years that she might even want that kind of privacy (she used to live with tens of thousand of other drones!), and therefore never making an explicit request to move somewhere else, or at least restructure the alcove area. I think that the Cargo Bay 2 situation would re-emerge in Seven's mind, though, once in the Alpha Quadrant, and by then she'd be more firm about boundaries—and hopefully have the technology that allows her to regenerate however she wants, which may not be a given at least for a few years post-return.
