Sysboxes FAQ
Responses to some questions we frequently get! This post is long, so full responses are under the cut, but here are the questions this post addresses, in order:
What are userboxes and how do I use them?
How do you make your userboxes?
What styles/customization can I request?
Do you have a box for X?
When can I send in a request/When will the askbox reopen?
How many requests can I send in per ask or per user?
Is there any particular media you absolutely won’t make boxes for?
Why hasn’t a box been made for my request yet?
What does X term mean?
What is your syscourse stance/Why can’t pro/endos interact?
What are userboxes and how do I use them?
Userboxes are rectangular images, often with an image on the left and information about a person on the right. They were originally meant to appear on a Wikipedian’s user page to convey something about a person. To use our boxes, you can reblog them to your tumblr page and/or right click to save the image for later use.
We have seen people put userboxes in their intro posts, in a certain tag on their tumblr, in Discord and PluralKit profiles, on their SimplyPlural (this post explains how), or in exchanges with friends. We generally request that you credit sysboxes when using our userboxes.
How do you make your userboxes?
Different mods use different methods, like Canva and MS Paint, but our main method of making boxes is using yerich.net/userbox. In the box that says “Left Box (ID) Text”, enter the code “src=“yourpicturelinkhere” height=“45px” width=“45px”>”, replacing yourpicturelinkhere with your image URL. Customize your userbox using the rest of the options on the site. You can screenshot your box here, or you can go to htmleditor.com and paste the “Raw HTML” code from yerich. Then you can use HTML coding mess around with size, font, and color before screenshotting your finished box.
What styles/customization can I request?
This post details a lot of the customization options you can request, like boxes vs. banners, different fonts, colors, and images, including hand-drawn art by mods. You can also request a specific mod do your box. Most mods are adults, but if you feel uncomfortable with a minor making your request, you are free to add that in your ask. Note that if you are requesting an image that contains someone else’s art, we must get permission from the artist to use the image for a userbox.
This being said, we are not infallible to making mistakes on the origins of an image. We do try to reverse image search when provided with an image in an ask, but if you notice your art in a userbox without having been asked permission for its use, please let us know so we can remedy the situation.
Do you have a box for X?
Please search our blog using a keyword for the box you’re looking for and possible variants on it. For example, if you’re looking for a box about food, try food, foods, eat, eats, and eating as keywords. If you’re looking for a box whose keyword is a common tag on our blog, try checking #hard to find tag on our blog for boxes. If you cannot find a box with these steps, we likely have not made one yet or whatever we do have is unlikely to fit your request idea.
When can I send in a request/When will the askbox reopen?
We let people know whether requests are open or closed in three ways: the box in our intro post, the title of the askbox itself, and a post when requests first open or close with the tag #sysboxes status update. When our requests are closed, please do not send any in for “when requests are open”; it will be deleted.
At any given time, we have hundreds of requests in our askbox. We try to keep requests open as long as we can, but even with a large number of mods, there is only so much we can do. We run this blog in our free time, while dealing with work, school, and mental and physical health issues. We do accept questions/appreciation while our requests are closed, but sometimes we save them to respond to when we clear the askbox, to look forward to later.
How many requests can I send in per ask or per user?
We don’t limit how many asks a single user can send in, but if possible, we prefer you send in multiple asks if you have multiple requests. We’ll still do multiple requests in one ask, but one request per ask allows us to more easily sort and number requests. It also lets us respond to when requests will be posted individually instead of waiting until every one is queued or posted to respond to a non-anonymous ask.
Is there any particular media you absolutely won’t make boxes for?
We are okay with requests pertaining to fictives from most media, as we understand they cannot control what source they introjected from. We will not make requests that express support for harmful media. As for media we won’t do requests for introjects from, we have decided not to make boxes pertaining to true crime or nazi introjects, for our and others comfortability. This is not a complete list, as different mods have different boundaries, but we try to honor requests whenever possible.
Why hasn’t a box been made for my request yet?
If you want to know exactly when your userbox will come out, send in your request off anon, and when we queue it, we will privately respond to your ask letting you know when to expect your box. Note our queue is very long.
We do not always do requests in the order we receive them. Some requests we must discuss or reword (for length, misinfo, etc.) before making. We do not make requests that incite hate/harassment, include misinformation (and can’t be reworded), include (specific) details that may endanger the user, or put us in the middle of heavy discourse we do not want to be roped into.
What does X term mean?
This is a userbox blog, and as such, we prefer you do not direct your questions about DID here. We are not professionals (and cannot diagnose anyone), and we recommend looking for credible resources. If you cannot find anything for your question or would like resources, some of the mods are ok with asks about things relating to DID on their system blogs. Mod blogs ok with these questions include @fromthewondersystem and @circular-bircular.
What is your syscourse stance/Why can’t pro/endos interact?
Individual mods fall across the syscourse spectrum, but this blog is overall anti-endo. In truth, we do not know nor much care whether it is possible to have a non-traumagenic system. We feel our system experiences are deeply informed by our trauma, and this is very different from endos’ experiences.
Additionally, mods of this blog have faced much harassment and harm from the pro-endo community, including being set back in recovery, misinformation, cultural appropriation, abuse, death threats, and doxxing. We are aware these issues extend beyond just the pro-endo community, but this is where we have most commonly found them. For these reasons, we do not want endos or pro-endos interacting with our blog or using our userboxes.
There are plenty of pro-endo userbox blogs already. We do allow syscourse-neutral/unaligned people to use our boxes - we are not here to force you to pick a side. People who are not pro-endo but allow pro-endos to interact with them may use our boxes, but we recommend noting that we are an anti-endo blog.

ATTENTION NEW TUMBLR USERS!!
a masterpost of tumblr features you may or may not know about!!
custom theme
archive
tagging
reblog vs repost
filtering
read more
xkit
shortcuts
if you have any questions feel free to hit me up baby!!!!
Custom theme:
This is a relatively recent change. There is two ways to view a blog, in dashboard (which is automatically available to everyone) and on your custom theme. Custom theme gets you your own tumblr blog page that allows you to access the archive feature. In order to get a custom theme, you must toggle this option:
Tumblr media
[Accessed through clicking on your little account settings icon>settings>your blog name under "Blogs"]
You will then see this second option on your blog:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It will bring you to your own tumblr blog page. Yours will not look like this. I have a custom theme that makes it look like a computer screen. You can make your own, even if all you change is blog colors instead of finding a fancy one. Additionally, if you wish you can also make a fucked up mouse like the one above. You will have to find the tutorials to make your own mouse, I recommend saving a copy of your blog's html in case you fuck this step up.
Archive:
You can only get this function through the custom theme option! If you have this enabled you can access it through the meatball menu on your blog and it will bring you to a page like this where you can sort through by month, post type, and tags.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tagging:
Add tags through clicking this button v
Tumblr media
You can add tags to both reblogs and original posts that help organize your interests. For example if you have a tag called "art", and you click on that while on your blog you will filter to only have "art" posts.
Additionally tagging can be commentary too! Some people prefer to comment on posts through the tags instead of adding to the reblog chain or in the replies.
WARNING: REBLOGGING IS DIFFERENT FROM REPOSTING. REBLOGGING SPREADS THE POST AROUND AND THE OP WILL STILL GET ALL THE NOTIFICATIONS ON THE POST. REPOSTING IS COPYING THE CONTENT AND MAKING YOUR OWN POST WITH THE CONTENT.
Filtering:
You can filter tags and keywords on tumblr if you go to settings and scroll down to "Content you see". Filter out things you don't want to see or are cluttering your dash and you are not particularly interested in.
Tumblr media
Read mores:
If your post is getting very long, its a curtsy to add a "read more" button. You can also add one by typing :readmore: on the mobile app (?). Posts can get very long and its hard to scroll through the mobile app without the desktop's shortcuts to next post.
However, many people are mischievous and will make purposely long posts and reblog them many times in a row. This is also fine, but people will often tag these posts as "#long post" so it can be filtered.
Additionally, turn your following and likes page private. This prevents people from digging into your tumblr activity. Some people may use the likes page to see if you are a real person instead of a bot so MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PROFILE PHOTO AND A BLURB SO THEY DON'T NEED TO.
Xkit is a useful add-on to chrome or firefox and allows you to customize tumblr even further. I use mine to get back the old way of looking at posts (it brings you to the specific post by clicking on the url) instead of the new hit boxes and the time and date button on the meatball menu. There's also a couple accessability features on here, like putting the alt text for images in the post, and volume and audio controls among many others.
And remember:
j-next post
k-previous post
shift+r-instant reblog
command+r-reload page

Social media comparison
Alright. I've tried different new/alternative platforms lately in hope to find something I really liked, and there are very promising ones. I didn't try everything, of course, but this is a kind of overview of my journey so far? Or just my thoughts on the matter.
I've tried Pillowfort, Bluesky, Mastodon (didn't last long enough to have much of an opinion, it simply didn't click), Dreamwidth and Cohost (as of today, can't post there yet).
My comparison under the cut:
Tumblr media
► I appreciate that they're algorithm free, whether it's because they truly believe in an Internet rid of the most invasive of them or because it's too expensive to implement on a brand new platform or some other reason. Only the future can tell, but for now it's nice.
Tumblr media
► Pillowfort: beside the post formatting that I find extremely comfortable, my favourite thing is probably communities. I feel like this is the strongest "pro" in favor of Pillowfort because this is where they truly distinguish themselves from other social media.
Communities, in a way, remind me of forums. They're however easier to take in hand since you don't have to deal with as many options and choices. In my opinion, communities on Pillowfort are a bit lacking in functionalities though. I think more tools to easily organize them would help, like a widget or something to link stuff so you can create and animate events within said communities.
(I also feel like Pillowfort would gain from not being dark blue. We have more than enough dark blue websites, and it doesn't go well with the warmth invoked by its name in my opinion, but that's a minor detail and just a matter of taste.)
Tumblr media
► Bluesky: basically Twitter but better. No algorithm, for a start. The curated feeds are nice. They're a bit like communities on Pillowfort since they can be moderated but from a non-mod user, it's even easier to post in them: you just have to use the right keyword for your post to appear there. Well, if the mod left it open to all rather than chose to vet who can or cannot post in it. Lots of flexibility and control over your timeline overall.
I don't like the 300 characters limit, however. Never liked it with Twitter either. It's not really conductive to conversations, and the general design tends to make the website feel rather impersonal. It's really more like parallel talking than community building.
Overall I think it's a good tool to promote your (visual) art or website, etc. but not great for hosting conversations past commenting briefly what others are doing. I mean, you can make threads but it'll never be as good as Pillowfort or Tumblr for this.
Tumblr media
► Dreamwidth: I'll start with saying that Dreamwidth isn't a social media, it's a journaling platform and I haven't used it much yet. Had in plan to post my headcanons about my muses there and stuff like that so I did spend some time trying to figure out how it works.
First, there is a lot of options to let you have complete control over who can see what. Like, a lot.
You can entirely personalize what your journal will look like. It's a bit easier than having your own website—since I reblogged a post about that yesterday—because you don't start from 0, so it might be a good option if you don't feel comfortable jumping into Notepad++ to start coding. You can just change a thing here and there, or nothing at all, or almost everything. It's pretty old school though, so for those completely unfamiliar with early/pre-web 2.0, it might not look very appealing at first. However, I'd say don't let that stop you! If anything, it's a good opportunity to learn a bit of code without pressure.
You can also create communities, which as you might have guessed is very important to me. When creating one, you can set up whether everyone can join, everyone can ask to join but has to be approved by a community admin or to limit the access to those you have personally invited. Like for your own journal, communities are completely customizable, and Dreamwidth allows adult content.
I'm not sure you can top DW communities in terms of functionalities—aside from making a forum—but it's not as intuitive as Pillowfort (though in exchange you get more customization). You're also more limited regarding image hosting (see here). That said, hosting services exist, many are free, and that's without mentioning that you can post on Twitter and the like and use the picture link in your DW posts. I don't think many will only use Dreamwidth anyway.
Tumblr media
► Cohost: I was expecting nothing when I registered earlier today, but this is an overall good surprise: it's Tumblr, but better.
More control of what you see. More user-friendly UI. It's not fucking blue. Adult content allowed. You can change your main blog page and make it private.
The only two downsides I'd mention here would be that you can't customize your blog page appearance and you have to wait for one or two days before being able to post. Although if it means less bots, I'd rather wait.
Tumblr media
And this ends my rather non-exhaustive tour of the social media/blogging/journaling platforms. If you catch any mistakes let me know. I didn't dive deep, this was just me sharing my thoughts.
(As far as I know, they all allow adult content and give you tools to not see it if you don't want to.)

MASTER POST!
Welcome to the Moth Den! This blog is the home of KD!AU, The Retriver Institute, The Horrors in the Wilde, CFK!AU, Skyfall AU, Bugged!Cross(Bug), and plenty of other AUs.
(check out my AU details list here)
I'm still figuring out Tumblr, so be patient with me please!
It's important to note that I do write proship/dead dove content, and as a psych enthusiast, I believe exploring darkness through fiction can be a positive and safe experience! So, hopefully there's no confusion there. There's a list of what I am comfortable writing about vs not below the cutoff. (That is why I focus heavily on tagging all of my works adequately, and all of my posts! So that you can block keywords you don't want popping up on your timeline, and you —hopefully— never have to run into anything you don't want to see on my page!)
Two quick rules!
1. We're a SFW blog here, so when I do get our asks set up, please keep everything rated E to PG-13, alright?
2. I personally do not care what people write or draw as long as they're keeping things safe and having fun. Don't bring silly conflicts about what people write or draw onto my blog. (I'm referring to proship/antiship arguments) Thank you!
And a quick note, I do not currently take drawing or writing requests, but I do take suggestions. If you would like to suggest something to draw, I do not guarantee that even if I respond I will do said suggestion or finish it if I do start it. But please feel free to ask questions about my AUs and the characters within them!
Links↓↓ and about me↓↓
Here's the link to our SFW Discord, make sure to be kind and pay attention to the rules!
You can find me on AO3 at Some_VeryGayMoth, although not everything on there is SFW, so navigate with care!
And on Twitter, where I never post, @TgayMoth
Please make sure to take care of yourself and pay attention to tags on any of my writing, or any writing in general. If you see something you do not want to see, don't click on it. Tumblr does indeed have a keyword filter, and I will always do my best to use keywords in my posts, so if you do not know how to set up your keyword filter with the things you don't want to see on your timeline, I would highly recommend you check out this link on YouTube that will show you exactly how to do that!
Now that I've mentioned keyword filters— here's what I write vs don't write!
I write angst, violence, hurt/comfort, gore, all that good stuff.
I've written twincest(shout-out to Dreammare)(not defending this one at all, this was whore activity, and honestly if you're shipping this while riding on the technicality that they're not really brothers you have some shit to sort out because homie this is still just twincest, but I do question whether this counts as twincest due to them being one spirit split in two and popped out of a tree, so like, take that as you will)
I'm not comfortable writing any parent/child stuff but no shade if you do, I usually don't like any OG fontcest stuff either it's just hard for me to digest but again no shade.
I've written stuff about anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, disability, all sorts of trauma, lots of that.
I won't talk about the kinks I write and don't write on here but oh readers there are many yesses, maybes, and hard nos to be found there, I assure you. And again, write or read, no shade.
Uhh honestly I think that's all I have, which is kinda L, maybe I need to step up my dark fiction game if this is all I've got. (It can get so much worse and istg I will write worse stuff to spite anyone who's tossing around hate like it's confetti. And I'll tag it properly so they don't have to see it if it makes them uncomfortable. I'm just cool like that.)
(Oh btw if you're not tagging your stuff properly or make a fuss about tagging things when someone tells you that you didn't tag something properly, you and me ain't cool. Nothing about that is okay. I will never fuss about someone asking me to add a tag, if I EVER miss something please tell me, I will happily add tags for you and keep them in mind for next time.)
About me↓↓
I have been writing for about four and a half years now for the fandom, and I've been here since about the very beginning. I started posting my writing back in early 2021. It's been so wonderful to see this fandom grow and change, blossoming with many fun aus and beautiful ideas, and I hope I can contribute to many more beautiful ideas on my little corner of the internet.
I have some physical health problems that may make it difficult for me to post more regularly, but I will do my best!

Tips and Resources for curating your fandom experience across platforms
Hi loves,
I wanted to write up a curating resource post for fandom spaces, so here are some things I’ve learned along the way, and though only you can decide what your digital boundaries look like, I do hope that for anyone looking for them, this list might find its way to you.
For tumblr
How to make your DM’s only open to people you follow
How to make it so only people you follow, or people who follow you for a week can reply
How to have your ask box open, but closed to anon’s - no longer needed, there's a simple toggle button near the ask settings for whether to allow anons or not :)
Use the filtering function for your dash (this is also an option for a blocked user - who you might still see if a mutual reblogs them.  You can add their name to your filtered list, and then their post will be hidden on your dash).  This tip brought to you by @quiquimora tumblr resource post (great post if you’re new to tumblr)
For AO3
How to filter out keywords that might appear in summary or author notes, but not in tags (handy for when an author is trying to understandably avoid spoilers in the tags)
A script option for filtering (especially nice if there are certain tags you'll always avoid across fandoms).
Muting authors (a nice option if you don’t necessarily mind engaging with authors in comments, etc, but don’t want to see their content) - this secondary link includes a how to video you can now use the muting feature on AO3, no scripts needed :)
You can block authors now on AO3 as well, and here’s a tweet thread that shows you how, but also what it does, and doesn’t do
If you’d like to avoid certain ship pairings
How to use a few extra search symbols to filter out certain content
Quick tip: don't forget to save your curated search results in either a bookmark, or as a link on your mobile home screen - that way you can just do all the filtering once, vs typing it all over again every time you're loading up AO3
For twitter
Muting words/content
How to set up various privacy settings
For discord
Privacy & Server settings master list
Accessibility settings
Please feel free to reblog with your own tips!
Under the cut, a few extra tips for dipping into new fandom spaces:
Interact with reblogs and hashtags (this isn’t the end all to be all, but one way to showcase your sense of humor with commentary, or digitally applaud a content creator). People can get to know you a bit ;)
If you enjoy content creating, sign up for fandom events: big bangs, reverse big bangs, zines - a fantastic way to connect with several people at once sharing the same hyperfixation as you <3
Look up certain hashtags in someone’s blogs - not in the sense of digging up ten years of posts, but a quick search if you have squicks and triggers that someone might blog about a lot.  It’s not a judgment on them, for many might not follow you for the things you post about either.  It’s just self care to be aware of things you do not want to see on your dash and keep your following list to things that bring you joy - nothing says you can’t do the occasional reblog, or even connect with them on other platforms!
On the flipside - block liberally.  If you look up their blog and you both are on opposite ends of a spectrum on a topic?  Want to ensure they can never say such things to you in DM’s, etc?  Block.
And guess what?  People have the right to do the same to you.  Do not under any circumstances block evade.  This includes going to other platforms to engage with them if you know you’ve been blocked.  Just.don’t.do.it.please.
And if you've made it to the end, you get a digital cookie or hug of your choice 🍪🫂

How do you make your infographics if I can ask, and how long does it normally take you to design, do the research, find what quotes you like, etc. I’m very interested in making my own, especially about the drag queen issue but I struggle with adhd and staying on task and get unmotivated easily.
What I use to make Infographics/Posts
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You don’t need anything fancy to make infographics! I’m familiar with Adobe InDesign and the Adobe design suite, but those tools are expensive and are hard to learn.
I use Canva to make my material. I don’t pay for their premium account, so my account is completely free! It gives you templates and design elements to work with. I really like Canva because it helps me quickly design and post material.
How long does it take?
Making posts with just a quote usually takes me 5 minutes per post, so they're pretty fast to make.
My infographic posts take the longest to make. My Intersex and Sex Binary posts took me over 30 hours to research, plan, compile, write, design, and edit. Some smaller infographics like Transmasculine Individuals and Binding took ~4 hours.
A lot of the time is spent on the research stage. The good news is I've compiled a lot of my research into this ~300-page master document! It's full of studies and facts, grouped by topic as a resource for other women. It's so big I've really only scraped the surface in terms of what I've been able to adapt so far.
Feel free to take a look for yourself if you want to make your own posts/material, or if you're just curious! If you're interested in making posts about any of the topics listed, this might help shorten your research. I've also named/linked all my sources, so you can click the hyperlinked sources or Google the name of the study and read the whole thing if it interests you.
Work Process & Motivation
I also struggle with motivation and finishing projects. The key (for me) is to organizing my digital workspace.
If I see a statistic or study that interests me, I stick it into my masterdoc. If I see a Tumblr post with an interesting idea, quote, or fact, I save the post as a draft
Tumblr media
When I have time, I go through my drafts and pick a few posts I feel like adapting.
On Canva, you can search for keywords like "Instagram Post", "Instagram Story" or "Quote" and Canva will give you suggested templates.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have a Canva document saved of a bunch of templates I want to use for quotes, for example (you may recognize some of the backgrounds/fonts from my posts):
Tumblr media
When I pick a quote I like, I copy and paste the template square into a blank page on my document where I keep all my quotes and I just edit the text and mess around with the design elements until I'm satisfied.
Tumblr media
I can then easily export my posts!
My process for infographics is similar. I search "Infographic" and save infographic templates I like, then just add in the information when I have the time and motivation.
I get demotivated sometimes, so it helps to do a lot of posts back-to-back when I'm motivated and have time. I then add the posts to my Tumblr queue, so my blog is posting daily, even on days or weeks when I don't have the time, energy, or motivation to make material.
Tumblr media
I know online activism can get really tiring and it can be easy to burn out. Stickering, flyering, reading feminist/woman-centered books to educate yourself, signing petitions and writing letters, meeting with like-minded women, and volunteering for women's shelters/causes are great ways to help women in real life that don't feel as impersonal as a Tumblr blog. If there's a topic you're passionate about, make that infographic or post, but also think about what you can do in real life to advocate for or advance the cause!
I find mailing women radical feminist stickers (which you can order for free here!) is a great way to remind myself that I'm not alone and there are other women like me. Every envelope I pack makes me feel really connected to other women. I also work for an organization that helps women in the Global South and try to read feminist books in my spare time.
TL;DR - Use Canva, spread the word, and try to help women in real life!

Welcome to The Bad Batch Appreciation Week 2023!!!
The time for appreciating Clone Force 99 is near! The prompts have been revealed HERE, so we must set some rules. Seems fair, right? So, here they are:
Event Info & Rules
TBB APPRECIATION WEEK is a week-long, prompt-based creation challenge to celebrate our love for the Batchers and the show. There are 7 groups of prompts—one for each day of the week—, which can be used, skipped, or combined in any way you’d like. They are meant to be an inspiration without being taken literally (i.e., you don’t have to include the exact wording of prompts in your work). Feel free to interpret them at your convenience. For example, if the prompt is “anooba”, you can create either something about the animal, use it as a name/mascot of a sports team in your modern-day/our Earth AU, or as an analogy for someone with a voracious appetite. It’s up to you.
Each group contains a character plus 5 different prompts (SFW, AU/Trope, Dialogue, NSFW, and a color palette). As it says above, you can use any, some, or all of them. Also there's also a short list of jokers/alternatives that you can use only one time each to replace any of the main prompts. The idea is to give everyone as much creative freedom as possible. The participants can create works in any media they choose, including but not limited to: writing, art, edits, gifs, videos, playlists, cosplays, etc. The only restriction is that it needs to be focused on The Bad Batch.
Also, people can participate as much or as little as they want, meaning that you don’t have to do ALL the days if you can't/ don’t want to.
Collaborations are welcome and even encouraged. For example, if an artist and a writer want to work together, or a writer and a podficcer, or two writers, go for it!
When uploading TBB Appreciation Week content to your Tumblr blog, be sure to mention this blog and add the following hashtags:
#tbbaw2023
#the character of the day
#day 1, #day 2, #day 3, etc… (the corresponding day)
#medium (gifset, fic, podcast, fanart, etc.)
#trigger warnings, if applies. (Please do NOT to add “tw” in front or at the end but only use the word/trigger itself, because the way Tumblr tag blocker feature works, it makes it harder for people to block the right tag.) (List of trigger warnings)
#prompt(s) used
#nsfw (only for NSFW content)
#any other relevant tags go here
PLEASE BE DILIGENT WITH YOUR TAGGING (both by mentioning the blog and putting the necessary tags). That'll ensure that your post will be reblogged on this blog.
I'll do my best to reblogged everyone's posts, but if it passes 2–3 days and I haven't posted yours, please let me know.
In addition, you can also add your work to the Ao3 Collection if you want.
If you are posting NSFW fics or art on Tumblr, I ask that you use the Keep Reading break and/or the Community Labels to hide the NSFW portion of your work; and please, give the proper warnings; (If you don't know how to do a keep reading break on mobile, go to this tutorial). On Ao3, please, use the correct rating and warnings as well.
There won't be censorship in this event, so everyone is free to create whatever they want. Participants are expected to hold judgment to themselves of others and their works, even if they don't agree with or find it repulsive. That means that harassment of anyone or anything that they post (even if said work is something you personally find morally reprehensible) WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Anyone that breaks this rule will be banned from the event. Curate your own experience by blocking what upsets/squicks/triggers you, and leave everyone else alone. That's the importance of the correct tagging, as it says above.
If an author or artist has asked for constructive criticism, you may give it (with constructive being the keyword). However, refrain to give any of the unsolicited kind, as it can be discouraging for the author or artist.
Important!! Show support to other participants by liking, reblogging, AND commenting. But most of all, HAVE FUN!!! This is meant to be a lay-back event to show love for our favorite characters.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with!
If you have questions, you can check out the F.A.Q post. But if you don't find there the answer you're looking for, send me a message to the ask box or a DM, either in this blog or my fandom blog @nimata-beroya.
Thanks for reading, and happy creating!

Tumblr media
2 Years, 9 months and 1 week since his heart broke. Correction since he broke your heart and each day that passed still hurt like hell.
The bar had been packed with new and familiar faces. He was talking to Penny ordering more beers when his world stopped for a moment.
Above the sound of the music and people talking, he heard the most beautiful laugh. A laugh that he always loved and had been haunting him as of late. He asks for a shot of tequila once Penny brings him the beers.
He slowly turns to look around the bar when his eyes land on you. There you were. Looking and being as effortlessly beautiful and self-assured as always. He became puzzled when he saw it was Bob who you were with. He made sure to always stay out of your line of sight, but he kept you in his the whole time.
What he hadn’t noticed was Bob’s girl was already at the bar. When she approached the table and kisses Bob, he was furious on your behalf until he saw the two of you hugging.
“Why did Bob invite her?” He asks Javy once he returned to the pool table with the beers.
Javy is about to answer that he didn’t know when he sees Bob jump and laugh at the sudden shrieking that surrounds him.
Jake sees the moment Evelyn pulls you into a tight hug. His Naval Academy girlfriend was friends with his high school sweetheart? He had never been more confused than he was at that moment.
He goes to order a few more tequila shots to steel his nerves. What he didn’t expect was that the liquor had the opposite effect on him.
Jake sat with Javy as he nursed the bottles of beer and the shots of tequila. He takes drink after drink, not yet feeling the haze of the liquor. He only focuses on how it burns as he swallows it.
Seeing you laughing and dancing with Bradley and Mickey triggered something in him that angered him. The anger and jealousy doubled when he overheard you say that you had someone back home.
He had no claim to you. He knew he had no right to be jealous. He LEFT you after all. It wasn’t your fault that you were always friendly and easy to talk to.
It wasn’t your fault that he still loved you so much.
It wasn’t your fault that you looked even more beautiful than you had since he last saw you.
And it wasn’t your fault that he was the one to break your heart for being selfish.
The burn of the clear liquid just felt too good to stop drinking it. Instead of staying inside with the crowd growing, he takes a bottle of tequila and goes to sit outside by the water.
Pulling out his phone, he unlocks it and starts scrolling through his photos. He pulls up his favorites album. They all were of the two of you or of things that reminded him of you.
He drunkenly smiles at the picture of you wearing his football jersey and helmet and pretending to pose like him. The memory hits him hard as the tequila starts to hit him.
He swipes at his phone to move to the next picture. The next one is of you two at his parents ranch. You both had finished riding the horses after an impromptu picnic. He remembers the picnic as it was when he asked you to prom.
Swiping once more, he comes across a video of you reading to his nieces a bedtime story. You both were still high school seniors but at that moment he knew he wanted to marry you.
He wanted to have a future with you. A future where you’d both have the same love and happiness your parents had. Both your sets of parents, to him, were the epitome of true love.
Of course, no couple was perfect but he knew that with their example and encouragement, you both could have the same thing. ‘Damn it Seresin… You really did leave her hanging when you promised her you wouldn’t.’
As he finishes the bottle of tequila, he realizes that the music had died down a bit from the bar. He goes to stand up to find a way home, but he stumbles a bit.
When two arms reach out to steady him, that’s when he realizes he’s not alone. He hadn’t been for a while. He was so caught up in his thoughts that he couldn’t hear his name being called over and over.
As he steadies himself, he can finally make out who is the one helping him. His heart sinks when he sees that it’s Javy that is helping him.
“Come on buddy. Let’s get you home. You’ve had too much…” Javy says.
Jake then hears Javy say “I’ll send you the address once we get to the car. Thank you so much for driving us… And I’m really sorry you had to see him like this.”
Jake then turns to see who Javy is talking to when his heart stops as his eyes fall on you and the keys in your hand.

help im from twitter and idk what im doing. how does hockey tumblr work
so you just fled hockeytwt - what now?
hey anon, welcome to hockeyblr! we're imo one of the best communities on tumblr and we're so glad to have you. hopefully you'll enjoy your stay :)
some general tumblr things to note:
as you probably know, tumblr doesn't run on an algorithm
any content depends primarily on what blogs you follow + occasionally what tags you follow (less reliable. your main source will be by blogs)
tags serve mainly as an organizational/content marker, as well as for filtering purposes. tagging #fyp to get your content out there does nothing
to send an ask, click on the button beside the follow/following button on the user's blog - some people rename the 'ask' to some other things, which may make it hard to find
we are the faceless app. pls customize your blog a little so it doesn't look like you're a bot but do not feel pressured to reveal names/face/age/pronouns whatever
once again, the only way content is found is through reblogs. reblog things that u think are neat, no additions required :)
re filtering: you can block terms/tags/content you don't want to see on your dash (e.g. 'tw sexual assault'). here's a better post to explain trigger warning/tagging etiquette
ok onto general hockeyblr:
to follow tags, go into the search bar and type out #[tag] and click the blue follow button on the right. your basic starter pack of tags to follow in hockeyblr: #hockey, #nhl, etc.
but that's lame. and you're probably not gonna get any of the juicy stuff
following your team/the teams you are tangentially interested in and their popular player tags are often a good way to start breaking into the community (e.g. #pittsburgh penguins, #sidney crosby)
follow cool hockeyblr ppl! u can find ppl in your team spheres through the tags i mentioned above. there was also a hockeyblr directory made a while back (og masterlist is down but shoot me a message and i can get you some specific team lists. don't be afraid to ask ppl for recs too)
reblog, like, etc. esp with content creators/gifsets/etc. engagement does the heart good
wtf is liveblogging:
lots of users liveblog and post commentary during games!
you can find these posts in the lb tags, which vary by team and are sort of collectively known (e.g. #pens lb for pittsburgh)
some tags are a little less intuitive: #nyr lb or #rangers lb are both used for the rangers iirc, #bolts lb or #tbl lb have both been used for tampa - feel free to shoot me an ask/msg if you have trouble lol
big events, such as the playoffs, worlds, the all star game, etc may have their own special tags (e.g. #scp lb, #worlds lb, #asg lb, #team germany lb, etc). you'll figure it out as you go! and don't be afraid to ask for clarification
tagging your liveblogs are pretty important since:
it's fun to liveblog with a bunch of people on your silly little gang of guys! helps u find friends to follow, and
people who follow the opposing team might want to filter out your commentary (more info below)
ouch, yikes. i don't want to see that (aka, filtering/blocking)
coming back to filtering, the nice thing abt tumblr is that u can filter out whatever tags/blogs/keywords you don't want to see on your dash
go to your blog settings to live peacefully and with prosperity
you can filter out team tags/liveblogs/players, anything you want. in fact, u are encouraged bc not feeling extreme rage over some picture on the dash of the team that knocked your team out of the scp does the body good
filtered posts don't disappear entirely from the dash (in case u have fomo), but when a blog u follow posts about something in that tag, you will see a blurred post with the tags you filtered, as well as an option to view the post
Tumblr media
(looks like this)
some users also have specific tags that they may have created for organizational purposes and to help you block specific content (e.g. #nhl trade rumors are my personal tag for, you guessed it, trade rumors. some ppl don't wanna hear that, so easy tagging for filter)
on that note: filter and move on. don't go into opposing team tags/liveblogs and talk shit or stir up shit. you will be blocked by. a significant amount of people. play nice y'all, it's hockey
rpf/fic
not really my area of expertise on tumblr, but there's a pretty big rpf/fic community on hockeyblr. follow or block as you need!
player relationship tags are a good place to look for content (e.g. #sidgeno, #8771)
use the :readmore: function on tumblr liberally if you're posting fics - full player fics in the player tags can suck to scroll through for an outside user
once again, don't be afraid to reach out and ask for help. best of luck navigating hockeyblr, you're sure to have a blast!

Hey.
Your responses to my comment on that particular thread aren’t showing up.
I can partly see them in my feed but not in their entirety.
Idk why.
Hello friend, these are my replies to you:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Feel free to reply here or to me on the original post.
The following is only tangentially related.
, , , , , , , , , , , , ,
While these are things that I stand by and I understand how they may be unsavory positions to most people, I will admit, I am far less concerned with convincing you of this, and far MORE concerned if this is a result of censorship.
I love Tumblr because I can have plain conversations about politics. In the past I tried having conversations on Facebook, Youtube, Reddit, and I was shadowbanned (when I wasn't outright banned) just for using keywords that I could see other people using without consequence.
While Tumblr is much less of a megacorporate entity than the likes of those, it is not immune to capitalist enshittification and the increasing stranglehold on discourse via the US government proper, and I anticipated it eventually falling to such depths. We can see this already with the broken new features nobody asked for, the brief attempt to be the next TikTok, the increase in advertising, but I was really hoping outright censorship would be a few more years further down the road.
As we can see with the CEO v. trans folk drama, as we saw with the repressed #freegaza etc. tags soon after Al-Aqsa Flood, as I could see everybody from communists to fascists to all the fringe spaces in between slowly turning into unclickable sunglasses emojis, this was perhaps a foolish dream for me to hold.
It is really a shame knowing that a website that was a haven for those dispossessed by US corporate/federal censorship is already well on the way to just being another AI-generated neoliberal echo chamber panopticon. I suppose things will continue to get much worse before they get better.

PSA for People New to Tumblr ⚠️
Strongly advised to indicate somewhere on your blog(s) that you're a real, living being behind an account. You don't want to be suspected for a bot and get reported & blocked, do you?
Reason to Dress Up Blog [Please READ]
Reason to Ramble In Tags [Please READ]
Reason to Report & Block Spam [Please READ]
Tumblr Feedback: [https://www.tumblr.com/support]
Further sign(s) of an actual hooman behind this account…🙀
And for when Tumblr's wonky and Blog Description Links don't work…an (almost equally verbose) ABOUT post here too.

Personal blog.
Post schedule may be Random/Queued.
Mostly Entertainment stuff (see TAGS for 💡).
Rambles a lot in #tags, also #tags relevantly.
Generally Safe For Work, minors still advised to follow at own discretion.
Side of language learning 📝
Current focus on Cantonese (🇭🇰🇲🇴 粵語 aka 廣府話 aka 廣東話), secondary on Mandarin (🀄華語 aka 漢語 aka 普通話).
I know this is a long shot but if anyone's so inclined to, please feel free to go through any of the Cantonese entries (tagged under: ‘Canto Practise’) I occasionally post as a way to practise, and inform me of mistakes any time! 唔該嗮!
For various reasons, currently opting to use Traditional characters (繁體字) when writing/typing in Chinese (中文), except when quoting or replying to text that was originally written in Simplified (简体字/簡體字).
Language Proficiency (best to worst):
🇬🇧 English, 🀄 華語, 🇭🇰🇲🇴 粵語, 🇯🇵 日本語 (生齧り者).
Tips for a more accurate search 🔎
No guarantees(!) given Tumblr's a constant malfunctioning Hellsite™ but, if there's something you want to look for on this blog, try the following:
Use Search Box and search with tags or keywords.
When something turns up, click on relevant #tag in post after, in order for all posts under that specific #tag to show in reverse chronological order or,
Search Archive directly via browser/desktop.

Writing Tips in Tumblr or any social media platforms :
Hi, I hope you all are doing good. I though to share me view on how to write a good content and present it in a outstanding way. Few things which need to be considered while writing in social media platforms
=> Never write something like a paragraph, make sure to use bullet points, arrow marks, alphabets or else numbers.
=> Use the main keyword within the first 150 words, it helps the search engine to make your post viral
=> Try to make the main points bold, it catches the user attention
=> Add images to your writing, a good image drags attention from crowd
=> Use grammar check or AI tools to confirm that your writing is understandable with minimum error.
You can feel free to check my website on finance to find how you can write a better article or content =>

do u know of any resources for balkan folk magic & witchcraft?
Hi nonny!
The balkan region isn't my area of expertise but I do have a few things that you may find helpful.
This post from @junipersprigs
The author Radomir Ristic published 2 books on Balkan witchcraft before he passed away. I own "Balkan Traditional Witchcraft" by him & it's got a decent amount of information and a bibliography. I assume his other book is the same way.
This YouTube channel was run by a lady from Serbia. Sadly she also passed away a few years ago, so there aren't any new uploads.
There are also little documentaries on YouTube like this that might have good bits of info in them. (Take everything in it with a grain of salt especially because it's produced by Vice🤢).
I'd also check Academia.edu, Jstor & a lot of folk and ethnography museums have websites with a board of academics who publish their research. If it's behind a pay wall, it cant hurt to track down the author & just ask if they'd be willing to send you a copy to read. A lot of the times they're more than happy to & if you can definitely donate some money to them to support their work.
Following tags like "Croatian folklore" or "Serbian witchcraft" here on Tumblr, IG & other social media platforms could be helpful too & you'll likely find other practioners who could help you more than I can. Translating those keywords into that native language & saving those helps too. For example, I have both "Ведьма" & the English spelling "Vedma" saved which means "witch" in Russian. Hopefully I explained that in a way that makes sense.
Also learning the language & using the web browser most common in whichever country/region will be better than using Google.
I'm a big advocate for reading the work of folklorists, ethnographers & other professionals rather than Wiccanized New Agey garbage. Learning from the people who live and breathe the practice is probably the best way. So, if you're able to, find a practioner near you who'd be willing to teach you. If you cant but you have ancestors from that region, I'd highly recommend asking them to help you. There's gotta be at least 1 person in your bloodline who's willing to.
This was kinda rambly but that's all I got. I hope this helped give you a good place to start. If anyone wants to add more resources to this post, please feel free to.

Hello! Bringing you your choice of non-sexual-metaphor baked goodies... might be difficult lol... to ask two more practical-tumblr-usage questions, if you don't mind! I noticed you don't use your own gifs, so: firstly, is there any way to find them/narrow your search if you're using tumblr's gif search function so you don't need to scroll for ages? And second, are gifs in said search function free-for-all? Do I still need to ask permission to use them, or is that covered, since clicking on one automatically includes the credit to whoever's made the gif beneath it (talking about regular gifs of moments in a show, obviously, not stealing anyone's fancy edits)? Thank you!
Hi! It is indeed difficult to find a non-sexual-metaphor baked good now. I appreciate your acknowledgement of that lol. I might have to start offering stickers or something instead of food. I can answer your gif questions to the best of my ability but if someone reading this feels I'm wrong in any of it, please jump in and say something as I do not consider myself the foremost expert on Tumblr usage things.
I don't use my own gifs because I am not savvy enough to make them and there are *lovely, lovely people* here who have basically made gifs of the whole show at this point so I don't really need to. The makers are notified when you use them, I believe, and credits on the gifs come up automatically when you add them to your post from Tumblr search. If you use gifs or screencaps that you find somewhere else on the web, you would want to make sure you're giving credit to those who did the work to put them online for us. In terms of locating gifs by searching the Tumblr database of them, there's not an exact science. It kind of depends on what you are looking for. If you're looking for something not terribly specific but just of the characters, searching their names or 'ineffable' or the like will pull up a bunch but if you're trying to find ones from a specific scene, you might have to get a little more creative than that. Try character + keywords 'crowley wine', 'aziraphale dance', or putting in the year of the flashback scene, etc..

★ AUCTION WEEK INFO ★
We reached the halfway point! We’re so impressed by everyone’s kindness and generosity so far; we love seeing bidders and creators cheer on one another as they bid and get bid on...which is why we hope you’ll support our golden needle auctions!
What are golden needles, you ask? These are auctions that are less active but just as wonderful and deserving of bids. With 264 auctions, we want to make sure that no one gets lost in the haystack—hence why we have a dedicated “golden needle” category on our auction site to make these hidden treasures easier to find.
This tag gives everyone a chance to be bid on and allows bidders to find new creators they aren’t familiar with and/or auctions they can afford. We know that some people don’t have much money to spare but still want to bid, and this is a great way to find auctions that are within budget, other than checking out pod bids or making one of your own!
While many of our auctions offer fic or art, we also have exciting offers for beta services (editing, soundboarding/planning, fact-checking, culture-picking, sensitivity reading, and knowledge about specific topics or experiences), crafts, digital works (graphics/edits, gifsets, manips, mood boards, etc.), podfics, and other fan labor. There are several one-of-a-kind auctions on offer, so feel free to browse the golden needle pages in their entirety. To search the golden needles by work type, rating, or special auction categories, use the filters to the right of the page.
For those of you who want to narrow down your search to your favorite fandoms, ships, and characters, you can do so by searching multiple keywords (e.g., ship: stony “golden needle” for Steve/Tony golden needles). Please refer to our tag list to see all of our tags and some search tips and our search guide for instructions on doing a multiple keyword search.
We’d also like to remind creators that your starting bid and bid increment can still be changed if your auction has not yet received a bid. If you’d like to make a change, please email us at [email protected] or ping a server mod (@mod) on our Discord server with the details.
We hope that you’ll support all of our lovely golden needles. Let’s try to get a bid for every auction!

Read our daily update posts for more information:
Day 1 - Viewing Tumblr posts on mobile, using our auction watchlist feature, and changing your Discord DM settings
Day 2 - Bidder–creator matchmaking and group/pod bids

Howdy! I'm Jazz (they/them), your local genderfluid cell biologist. My younger cousins convinced me to start a tumblr blog and join the rest of the cool kid pokemon lovers on here.
I'm a retired pokemon trainer that has traveled many regions, but ultimately settled in Paldea after grad school due to the lack of ah, how to put this, criminal organizations bringing about the apocalypse with legendaries. Yeah let's say that.
I've successfully completed the pokemon league in Galar and Paldea. (Poke league let me re-challenge the E4 again I wanna battle rika one more time)
Feel free to shoot me a message or interact with any of my posts! (/All posts will be tagged as pokeblogging and unreality/)
Anyways meet the gang!
Blaze the ninetales: my very first pokemon from when I lived in Hoenn. She's a real cuddle bug and I love her to death. She loves little scratches behind her ears when no one's looking and is a fiend for poffins.
Wisp the banette: between my masters degree and my PhD my mental health was pretty rough, so to keep my spirits up I used to feed the shuppets that gathered outside my window. One of them got pretty attached to me and that's how I got Wisp! Gained a banettite once I visited Kalos.
Faith the cinccino: cuddlebug #2, a total sweetheart and was the first pokemon I trained competitively. Nowadays she likes to attempt (keyword attempt) to curl up on my lap whenever I work from home.
Scale the kommo-o: a real feisty guy, has more energy than a electrode that's about to explode. I'm not complaining though, he makes for an excellent hiking partner. He likes watching the sunset with me :)
Float the alomomola: the second pokemon I caught in Alola after Scale. Demands to be taken on walks with Scale everyday in her aquarium carrier or else she gives me lilipup eyes and cries. She likes to hang out with me while I garden in the backyard. She'll mirror me and rearrange the plants in her pond
Puff the eldegoss: the first pokemon I caught in Galar. A cheeky little guy that likes to be involved in everything. Any visitors must be approved by Puff before they're allowed in the house. He's very possessive about the garden in the yard, but he's an excellent gardener.
Gardenia the vivillion: I found him as a scatterbug down by poco path. He had a pretty nasty injury from who knows what, so I nursed him back to health. After he regained his strength he seemed pretty keen on becoming a vivillion, but he hates battling. To help him evolve I trained him for battle and he was a pretty fearsome fighter in his own right, but I kept my promise and after beating the elite 4 I let him retire. Now he helps me pollinate the vegetable plants in the garden :)
